Derek is a magnificent dog trainer, coach and overall person. I highly recommend him and his services. He helped my sister and I understand our dogs better and taught us how to be better leaders for our dogs. The humans definitely needed the help and Derek was there to give us the tools and guide us to be successful.I learned a lot from his private lessons and have an appreciation for the depth of his knowledge that he has for dogs and training.We have a multi dog home and our two boys have gotten into scuffles and fights the last year. We reached out to Derek for help to have a neutral home since we were out of our depth and we worked on obedience with both dogs and figured out the best plan to aim towards having both dogs neutral in our home.Brodie, our brindle shepherd mix, excelled with Dereks help and our lessons. I look forward to getting some more classes in the future for e-collar training so we can go off leash hiking.

What a great experience working with Derek! He is a dog whisperer but also an owner whisperer too. Our pups learned basic commands to give me the confidence to be a better owner and put rules in place for our dogs to understand their roles too. Our home had become unsettled with small dog fights but now it is calm. And when their environment gets disruptive, I now know the signs and actions required to settle everyone down to not have an issue. Thank you Derek, you are a treasure.

Derek was absolutely fantastic! We hired him to help train our 1.5 year old American lab and we have had the best results. We did the 6 week package and received training for all basic commands. We worked in our home and out in the community and got the support we needed in between. We know that we can call Derek if ever we have an issue in the future. We have already referred friends and highly recommend him!

Derek is the absolute best! Scout & I are so grateful to have worked with him! I was frustrated with my lack of control over my awesome Golden Retriever… Derek gave us great training & tips on how to have a dog who doesn’t pull while on a walk, who plays well and knows when playtime is done, doesn’t jump on people and stays in place when company comes and stays non-reactive when other dogs are around. I highly recommend him to all of my friends who have unruly dogs. His training is the best you can do for yourself and your dog!

Derek did an excellent job with our dog Barney. He is a lovable black lab that needed help with manners and recall. He spent two weeks with Derek and Barney is now a perfect gentleman. Derek was always kind and gentle with Barney and never made him feel afraid. So grateful for his help and highly recommend him!

Working with Derek was exactly what we needed! Ruth is a puppy mill rescue. She came to us very scared, lacking confidence and more than likely abused. We found ourselves not having the ability to put Ruth in a position to succeed. Ruth had so many walls that were built up for survival. Derek did an amazing job building her trust, and teaching her not only obedience, but making Ruth become a much more confident dog. With us he was very impactful in teaching us how to deal with certain behaviors, creating boundaries and how to achieve an obedient dog. Very thankful to have worked with Derek and have recommended him to many already. The entire family is having a great experience with Ruth now. Not only is Ruth a dog with much improved behavior and obedience, but we have become better dog owners.

Derek was phenomenal with our 4 month old Cane Corso. He was able to lay down the perfect foundation for a well behaved and attentive dog. Absolutely recommended his services. Thank you Derek!

My sheltie has been a handful since we got him. He always had a mind of his own. Derrick taught me how to communicate with Chester and we have made great progress.
