Dogtopia of Yorktown

We love the family vibes of all staff members loving and taking great care of our Dakota Mae and Wallen as soon as we walk in, in the mornings. Turning into the parking lot, our pups get super excited to see where they’re going! They were very accommodating and kept watch while he was struggling with his back paw before surgery. We love all the cute events they have monthly to keep the dogs interested and entertained! When there’s bubbles, you’ll know Dakota will be there!!! Having an easy 123 text system to be able to check in, ask questions, etc, being watch on the cameras brings lots of comfort and peace watching our pups play, and having social media to see many posts of the fun event days is the best part of my day! We love dogtopia 💕

We love Dogtopia! My dog was adopted from what we believe to have been a puppy mill situation when she was between 2 and 3 y.o. When we adopted her, she was extremely shy, afraid of children, and sometimes aggressive with other dogs due to fear. She didn’t know how to play with toys, but she did love adult humans. She’s 12 now, and has gained more confidence from regular dog park visits and play dates with friends’ dogs. Dogtopia has been a huge part of her overall happiness and wellness for the last two years. The people who work here are very careful and loving towards all the dogs in their care. They’re always well staffed and the dogs are never le ft unsupervised. They always remember my dog’s name, preferences, health information, and personality, and we only bring her here once a week. I’ve recommended see them to friends, as well. My dog LOVES Dogtopia, and we love them, too!

Our dog absolutely loves it here, she’s high energy and the environment allows for a great mix of socialization and rest. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and helpful!It’s very clean and well kept and I like that the dogs are separated by size so it’s not too anxiety producing for smaller dogs. I feel good leaving our pup here to play!The app makes it really easy to book services and having access to the daycare camera is a great benefit, I love checking in to see what our girl is up to! Usually trouble, which is another reason the staff is so amazing!

Our dog loves it here. Very responsible staff, clean, efficient. Good for multi-day boarding too. I know the dogs like it because when I picked him up on Sunday evening after multi-day boarding, and then brought him back for day care Monday (the next day) he was just as eager to go in and hang out with his dog friends as ever. Adjacent vet just in case of emergency is a plus (fortunately weve never needed it).

I appreciate the convenience of being able to drop off my dog for the day, knowing hes in good hands. The staff is very friendly and clearly passionate about dogs. I also love the app, which allows me to check in on my dog whenever I want.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a well organized and structured facility to allow the maximum fun at the most safety for the dogs.

I always feel like I am dropping my pup off at a place where she is safe, loved and well cared for! My dog is very high energy, so daycare is a fantastic option to keep her well exercised during the work week. The staff members have all been very kind and quick to address any questions or concerns that I have brought up. I also love all the themed days and photo ops, such as back to school picture day, Halloween costume contest and pictures with Santa!

Friendly, flexible and so understanding of our most precious pups. One (who will remain nameless - Pia lol ) who is so calm until she meets someone and then becomes a “jumper” but Dogtopia understands and our other good boy is just the sweetest …..just excellent understanding and care !

The staff is great. Our dog always comes home worn out from his day of play. He runs to the door when we say Dogtopia or doggie daycare.he especially likes the pup cups.

Mookie goes to Dogtopia at least 2 to 3x a week. He absolutely loves it! He comes home super tired from a day of playing with his friends. The staff is really helpful and friendly! We love how easy the app is to use to book daycare and boarding appointments. We also love that we have access to the webcams so we can see what our pup is doing. Also, the themed days are so fun and we love to get pictures of Mookie!

My puppy caught kennel cough. However the employees were all very nice and welcoming.

The team in Yorktown truly loves my dog - its so obvious to me. And Winston is so excited to go and see his friends. I love how accommodating you are. I just feel good about leaving my baby boy there.

My dog loves it here! The staff is great, and the web cams are a wonderful resource. I love that they have 3 different rooms so there are not too many dogs in one playroom. Another place I tried while ago had WAY too many dogs in the play room. This way there are plenty of dogs for my Bernice to play with and the staff is able too monitor them. Bernie is happy and gets lots of exercise and socialization.

Disappointed in communication. I needed to speak to a live person. My calls all went to voicemail immediately. Also, no text or return call after texting them nor after leaving voicemail.I cant tell you how they treat your baby because I went with someone else.

I never thought in a million years that I would send my dog to daycare. However I know that socializing a dog is super important and the only time I could get out and about with other dogs was on the weekend at the dog park. My Pete just loves playing at the park so I figured Id check out Dogtopia. I was super impressed with the facility (many different play rooms and outdoor areas) as well as with the friendliness of the staff. Pete is greeted by name when we walk in. Its kinda fun to watch him play with all the other dogs (and staff) via camera when I have a moment at work to sneak a peek. We love Dogtopia so much that we use their grooming and boarding services too! I cant speak highly enough. If I could give higher than a 10/10 I would!

I sent my pup to Dogtopia this week on a “free day of play” promotion. I would really love a place where he can play and be safe while I’m at work. Naturally, I’m going to watch the cameras, which didn’t work all of the time- they do shut them off from noon-2pm during nap time, but they were down during several portions of the time outside of this. I feel that if it’s a dog’s first day, you should maybe nurture them or check on them a little bit more to ensure acclimation. When the cameras worked, what I did see was my dog desperately seeking out a little human attention (a pet, something) and he was consistently IGNORED. I’m a dog lover, so if any dog comes up to me and seems to want my attention, I’m giving it. Not here, they literally just walked through him or pushed him away. It was actually really sad to watch. If you want a place to “store” your dog, this will work. If you want a place where your dog is treated nicely with attentive supervision, this is not that.

While the staff is nice and it was a safe place to keep the puppy, I cannot recommend this place. I did not know or even think to ask if they gave the dogs potty breaks, but they dont. For 12 hours, the dogs are allowed to be in one room urinating and pooping all over!! How repulsive. My puppy came home and stunk sooo bad I had to bathe her at 8pm after a long day. In addition, my puppy never had accidents in the house and after that experience has been slipping in the house the last couple of days. Completely un-trained what you try to teach pups. To hold it and go outside.

Do not send your dog here. Our dog was attacked at Dogtopia and the staff didn’t disclose the true extent of the injuries. We got a call from the manager to let us know our puppy had been “nipped” but assured us he was totally fine. What they failed to mention was the blood, multiple puncture marks, my dog’s inability to walk normally and a new timidness he never had before. When my husband picked him up and discovered the actual state of our dog the staff admitted to not being forthcoming with his true injuries. We had to rush him to a vet and is now recovering no thanks to Dogtopia.

Dogtopia Yorktown is one of the best daycare and boarding facilities I have come across. They really do care about the dogs in their care, everyone is friendly. My dog absolutely love going there and enjoys his time every single time.

Love the cameras, the friendly staff, and the texts while my puppy was there, letting me know how everything went on his first visit! I felt good knowing he was safe and well cared for in my absence!

Shadow is always happy to go visit her buddies at Dogtopia. Whenever I check in on the cameras she is running around and enjoying her time. I love how they are always celebrating there and they ask you if your dog can have a certain treat to make sure no one gets sick.

My dog and I have loved Dogtopia since he began going there two years ago. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Whenever we pull into the parking lot, my dog begins crying with excitement and tries to push the door open to get in.A few days ago, my dog had a seizure at Dogtopia. I am beyond grateful to them and impressed with the way the entire staff handled the situation. They noticed the seizure immediately, cleared the area around him, and held him until he came out of the seizure. They contacted me by text and phone while the seizure was happening and then kept him separated from the pack until I gave them the okay to send him back in with the other dogs. It saddens me to know that my dog had a seizure, but Im glad that if he had to have one, that it happened at Dogtopia, where he was so incredibly well cared for. I can not recommend this daycare enough!

I previously did not have issues with this location. However, I am very concerned and will not take my dog back. BRACHYCEPHALIC DOG OWNERS be warned..My dog, Simon, used to go to dog daycare all of the time before I moved from Washington. He never had any issues. He went to Dogtopia a few times last year until my work schedule no longer allowed me to take him (I have to be at work at 6am). I am currently on leave/vacation, so I wanted to take my dog back since he enjoys being around other dogs. I booked an appointment for Dogtopia. I was not told prior to bringing my dog for the day that I needed to stay and wait to make sure he was ok since he hadn’t been in a while. I have no issue at all doing that and understand why it was necessary for safety.. but I just wish I had known that ahead of time. No one bothered to call or email me. What if I had been running late for an appointment or work? What if he didn’t do well for some odd reason and I had to take him back home before work or an appointment? Not everyone is just a stay at home person with zero plans after. In fact, most people who bring their dog to daycare usually have work or an appointment or else they likely wouldn’t be taking their dog to daycare.I have major concerns about staff training regarding brachycephalic dogs. I assumed the staff had knowledge of the dangers of heat in these breeds. The Dogtopia website also states that there are AC systems in the facility. I checked on the camera in the morning, and he was indoors. I assumed in the hot part of the day my dog wouldn’t be outside.. or if he was overheating, he would be taken inside. When I picked him up, he had been outside for an extended period of time (saw him on the cameras… that is why I decided to pick him up early. He was standing in front of a water bowl for over 10 min desperately drinking and the staff noticed him and didn’t seem concerned on the video footage. When I picked him up I was so concerned I almost took him to the emergency vet. His gums were brick red, he was panting so hard he was audibly making crowing and gasping sounds (sounding like he was struggling to breathe).. to the point where the front desk staff member seemed concerned also. He asked me if that was normal for him.. and I said no, it was not. He sounded awful. He was extremely hot to the touch, was very restless, and kept trying to lay down and reposition himself.. all signs of heat stress. I am so lucky I decided to pick him up early. I truly think he would have suffered heat stroke if I hadn’t. I had to cool him down in my car outside of the vet office for 30 min before leaving because I was so worried about leaving in case I needed to take him inside the emergency vet. he has never had issues with overheating with normal precautions for a brachycephalic dog. The dogs should not be outside in the hottest part of the day.. ESPECIALLY brachycephalic type dogs such as bulldogs. In any case, the staff monitoring the dogs should have recognized the very obvious signs of heat stress. He was panting and struggling to breathe so loudly it is hard to believe they wouldn’t notice.

They were amazing during a very sad time. I had to put big Larry down, they were very kind and understanding...its impossible to find better people.

The best review I could give is how excited our pup is to get into the car now. She used to hate getting in the car, but now associates it with going to Dogtopia! She loves going there and getting to see all the other dogs, the staff and the play areas. She seems to have so much fun that she doesnt know when to chill out and comes home to just crash for a full 24hrs. I cannot speak more highly of Dogtopia! Well be bringing Soka here at least once a week to get all her socializing and playtime needs filled!

My teacup maltipoo LOVES Dogtopia of Yorktown! The staff is professional, friendly and they treat my tiny pup with so much love.My dog is small, just under 7 pounds fully grown, and I like that they can keep him separate from larger dogs by use of the Wee Pen (for dogs under 8lbs) or integrate him in with some larger dogs when able. His current BFFF is a golden retriever! Such a great way for my little guy to socializeDogtopia is a really beautiful, clean and safe facility - the nicest I’ve seen in Westchester.My dog has a blast, and I’m able to focus on work with the confidence that he is happy and safe. The ability to check up on him with the webcam feature is probably my favorite of all!Booking him for a few days each week is super easy using their app. Highly, highly recommend.

My dogs reaction to the word Dogtopia speaks more than any review I could post. She LEAPS to the door and dances around- so excited to go. The staff at Dogtopia Yorktown is wonderful and friendly, and you can really tell they love all the pups in their care.

The staff at Dogtopia are amazing! John and Paige are always a pleasure to speak with over the phone! They worked patiently with our dogs to become acclimated to the other dogs and the facilities. All the dogs are appropriately grouped into rooms based off size and temperament and are always under supervision. All this combined, our dogs are enjoying their new friends!

I reached out to Dogtopia yesterday to set up a meet & greet & they responded a few minutes after! Felt so nice to see how responsive they were.We got Nova in for her first meet & greet today and they were so helpful. Being that it was Nova’s first time in a dog daycare, we were so nervous and didn’t know what to expect. They explained how everything works & even gave us a great tour of where she will be, what goes on during the day.We were SO happy with the trainer Amanda! We can tell nova felt her amazing energy ! She was sooo great with Nova and giving us feedback after making observations on Nova. We can’t wait to send her back for day care as often as we can. Although Nova was so nervous , we can see she enjoyed the place. Everything was so clean which was a huge plus.We love that we can watch her right from our phones. 😃 Very pleased!

Been a regular customer for day care and grooming. But this place has gone south in the last one year or so. We took our Pup for the spa service. They took him in at 12 noon. He came out after 4 hours 30 minutes. But he was full wet. They didnt even attempt to blow dry. So horrible. These kids should not be allowed to run a pet place. They dont know what they are doing. Very unprofessional. Please avoid this place if you want your pet to be safe.

We love Dogtopia! They have a very clean facility and the owners and staff are terrific with the dogs. I know this because you can watch on the Dogtopia App. When I was having app issues, they responded to my emails within minutes. Every service provider should be like this!

Pippin and I love Dogtopia - Yorktown! The staff is accommodating, kind, flexible, and patient with dogs and owners. I highly recommend Dogtopia for daycare and boarding without hesitation! The staff and the facility keep us both so happy!

We cant say enough good things about Dogtopia! My 17 month old labradoodle LOVES going there. He is very well taken care of. It is a completely different place with the new owners. Clean, ultra-professional, safe and fun! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here!

We LOVE Dogtopia of Yorktown! Logan gets excited the second he walks towards the car in the morning because he knows he gets the day to play with the wonderful and friendly staff and all of his other dog friends!! He always has a blast and always falls asleep with with a cute puppy smile at the end of the night from all that play time. John and all the staff are amazing and are always excited to see Logan, just as he is excited to see them. Boarding is a breeze with them as I know Logan won’t have time to be bored or miss us too much on vacations. We also live the ability to “drop in” with the live webcams to see what shenanigans Logan and his pals are up to throughout the day :) So happy we found them, we can’t thank you enough Dogtopia of Yorktown!

My puppy Tony needed interaction with other puppies during COVID andDogtopia has been able to provide that to us in a safe and comfortable environment. The staff is loving and attentive to all of the dogs and owners. If you have a puppy, check this place out.

Weve boarded our dog in the past; at least 6 or 8 times. We also completed the day care and meet and greet requirements. Apparently not recently enough to be able to book a 2 night stay without completing 3 days of daycare first. I understand the daycare requirement for a dog new to the process, but we are not new, by any stretch. Unfair!

Had tickets to legoland preview and was looking for a place to watch my buddy while we went. Don’t like leaving him at home too long.Called Saturday and I talked to Jenny who was awesome about how I’ve used dogtopia once before on a trip to Orlando. She called down got his records and confirmed that we can come in Monday for daycare.With weather looming we went back and forth on going but it was my sons Birthday so we made the trip. Got there later than expected and missed the meet and greet window. Completely our fault, after a chat with Lynn started walk back to the car ready to tell my son we can’t go. Jenny came to the rescue as she had made notes about buddy. I probably screwed up as Lynn had thought we were a walk-in.Long story short. Dogtopia saved our trip and made an 8yo boy very very happy. Thank you soooo much. Will definitely try to use your location if we’re ever in the area!!!

I was very nervous to bring my dog to daycare since she has never been in one before and she is older. From the moment I called Amanda made me feel very welcome and very at ease bringing Nico there. I am beyond impressed with Dogtopia in Yorktown Heights. Thank you from me and Nico.

It was my first time for Puppy Playtime and it was a great experience. There was a lot of dogs, all well behaved and monitored by the staff. I think this is great to socialize my puppy to be a great family companion and as well get along with other dogs.

We like Dogtopia quite a bit, and Pork Chop definitely does as well. She is always tired for the rest of the day when she comes back. She also always returns thirsty, but we assume that this is because she is very easily-distracted, and probably just forgets to drink when shes running around.

What an awesome place..we heard from neighbors about their experience, so we gave it a try. So happy we did!! Great place, great staff and our Harley LOVES it!! It’s a must for dog owners..trust me, your dog will love it & you for it 😊

The place is great and we have been clients for years. Dr. Whitehead is the one we have been using with our 2 dogs and also in the past with other dog we had. Highly recommended place!

We feel our dog is well taken care of when we drop him off. The staff are so friendly and readily answer any questions we have. I also like the responsiveness when we call. They almost always pick up...if not, they call back quickly.

The play group was fabulous. It was our first time there. Lila loved it. I forgot the name of the gentleman who ran it but he really knew what he was doing. Lila was exhausted after it. She had great behavior for the next 2 days, much less nippy with me and my little BIschon.Cant wait to come back!

Wonderful meet and greet and first day for my dog at Dogotopia!! Night and day difference from other doggy daycares in the area. Clean, comfortable and responsible!

I called and was told I could come in for a tour when I arrived they decided they were too busy for a tour and short staffed. Also the place smelled very bad. I def would not recommend this place, especially not with your animal who you love and care for.

Staff are awesome - and end up knowing things about your dog even that you didn’t know! Ryder gets so excited to see staff and canine friends alike :)

Long wait; Had me call poison control for an answer I thought they should know. Especially since I had the ingredients of what my dog ingested. Talking to poison control increased my wait; not to mention my bill, by $75.00!

I love the way my pup LOVES going to Dogtopia Yorktown. He gets so, so excited. Its a 40 minute ride each way for us but well worth it. The staff at this location is fabulous. They greet my pup with enthusiasm and love, I watch the interaction of the coaches with the dogs and its all good. The dog yards are spotless. Cant speak highly enough about my experience with this team so far.

We do puppy playtime to have our pup get socialized. First time she did not leave my side, now she runs and plays.... it is very clean and staff are very observant of the dogs behavior. And it is very well valued for cost too.

I recently was going to use Dogtopia for daycare. We did a meet and greet and my dog vomited. So the staff said to bring him to puppy playtime on Saturday morning, which we did. They said we were ok to drop him off for daycare. We then asked if our dog was good to drop off for daycare next Saturday, and they said you are all set. When we went to drop our dog off, they rejected him. The staff said he didnt pass his meet and greet. No one notified us that our dog had to do the meet and greet again. They didnt return any of our phone calls. If they are not reliable with customer service, I dont trust them with my dog. I wont be using Dogtopia in the future.
