My golden retriever and I went to maximum canine for private lessons. Jimmy was our instructor . He was very caring and gentle with my dog. He was knowledgeable and patient . He has given us the tools to work on training in an effective manner. I would definitely recommend maximum canine and jimmy as a very qualified instructor. My golden is listening much better to me and I definitely see an improvement. This is an on going learning process . We will continue with the lifetime lessons at maximum canine. We also had Morgan for two lessons and she was very patient and helpful also.

We are so happy with how all the training went with our Hershey! He was a 4 week board and train. Our trainer Rosemarie was fantastic! We loved the updates on his progress and all the in home visits to cater to exactly what we needed in our home. We highly recommend Maximum K9 Service!!

Katie( trainer for my dog , Goose) was absolutely AMAZING!!!! My German Shepherd mix, Goose, stayed with Max k9 for a 3 week board and train session and outcome surpassed my expectations! Katie‘s personality and love for dogs was immediately evident and is just exceptional at training not only dogs but their owners too!! I highly recommend her to everyone I meet, especially when they comment how well my dog behaves. I couldn’t be happier with the training Goose received, Katie and the entire Max K9 staff

Maximum k9 was absolutely wonderful in guiding us with proper training for our German shepherd puppy. Our trainer, Jim, was terrific, we have nothing but nice things to say about him. He had patience, knowledge and care in teaching not only the dogs, but also the owners. I highly recommend this facility and we will definitely be coming back for some specialized training!

I wouldn’t have as strong of a bond and companionship with my puppy, Macie, if it weren’t for Morgan. i decided to do 8 of 1hr private training lessons, and it was an amazing experience. she’s very modest and gives us dog owners so much credit, but she deserves much much more. you can tell how much Morgan loves what she does and how her experience and knowledge has made her an excellent trainer.i’ve never trained a dog before, this is my first puppy as an adult. i was incredibly self conscious and nervous. she’s essentially trained me and my dog. when i was hard on myself, Morgan always reminded me that training and progress was never linear.. (shes right, obviously). she was always available to chat whenever i had any questions in or out of the training facility.at the end of our lessons, Macie has become so well behaved that many people have given compliments on how calm she is or how well she listens to me. a wise person (Morgan) told me that training should be about making life easier to live with your dog and giving you a way to have fun with her. since then, that’s one of the main goals i strive for when spending time with and training Macie. there’s progress to be made and more things to learn, so i look forward to going back to Maximum K9 for more classes and lessons!

Maximum K9 change my life and my dog’s. Before bringing my dog to Maximum k9 she was anxious, aggressive and would pull on the leash to lunge and go after other dogs and people. I decided to go with the 4 week board and train, dog trainer Morgan did an excellent job with my standard poodle Daisy. I recommend her and trust her completely. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

Maximum K9 is Amazing!! I had a very stubborn golden retriever puppy that would not walk on a leash or listen to any commands. Thanks to Katie and Kayla who are absolutely Awesome, my pup is now walking on a leash and listens to most commands. I’m still working with my pup closely to keep up with her training.

My australian eskimo Marvin was really reactive and aggressive with dogs, especially when on leash. He had a 3 week board and train with Rosemarie after taking a few private lessons with Jim. Both trainers are amazing. He is now a completely different dog. We couldn’t even get off our lawn and now we can walk around our neighborhood at ease. Marvin is still the same happy dog, but now more obedient. They taught me everything I need to know to keep up with his training confidently. So thankful. (Here’s a pic of Marv they sent me during his stay). Looking forward to continuing our training with their $30 lifetime classes and off-site obedience courses!

Maximum K9 helped us give our little boy a better life. Before bringing Leo to Maximum K9 he would pull on the leash, bark at everyone and every thing (for attention and pets) and would throw attention seeking tantrums when guests came over. He would also bark nonstop in the car. My husband and I decided to enroll him in a 3 week board and train with trainer Rosemarie. She did such an amazing job with him! Our concerns were heard and each and every one of them were addressed and worked on. Now Leo is able to walk in heel, is redirectable and rarely pulls on his leash! We were able to take him to a crowded tree lighting in our town and he walked through the intense crowds with no problem. He can stay in place when guests come over and his tantrums are basically nonexistent. And since he is quiet on car rides now, we take him everywhere we can. We went back to a lifetime class recently and Leo was so excited to see Rosemarie - you could tell she treated him so well in their time together! Thank you Maximum K9 for giving us a well-behaved little man!! 🩵

I can’t say enough great things about Maximum K9! We recently sent our 8-month old puppy Drogo to Board & Train with Katie as our primary trainer. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made and worth the investment! Katie has been phenomenal and is still answering our questions on a daily basis. Katie, Kayla, and the rest of the team have been nothing short of amazing with training and taking care of him. Drogo has been home for just over a week and he is doing great. We (his humans) need most of the training at this point. Haha. I highly recommend Maximum K9 and will certainly be returning for ongoing training. We sent our 8-month-old German Shepherd to Maximum K9 for a 3.5-week board and train program, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The team at Maximum K9 was outstanding, and I particularly want to highlight Katies incredible work.Our dog had typical puppy behavioral issues—poor recall, excessive leash pulling (to the point where we couldnt walk down certain streets), limited to no basic commands (i.e., sit/stay), grabbing things around the house, barking indoors, and reactivity to other dogs. Katies training transformed our dog into a well-behaved companion while still maintaining his goofy personality.Living in an apartment in a dense city, we wanted our dog to handle interactions with 20+ dogs per day, ride elevators with dogs, kids, and adults, and behave well both inside and outside the house. Katie ensured our pup was set up for success in all these scenarios.We highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for an elite dog trainer. The Maximum K9 team has our utmost gratitude for their exceptional service.

We cannot say enough great things about Maximum K9! We just finished a private training package with Morgan for our dog, Hunter, and cannot believe the progress he made. Hunter has always been incredibly reactive to people, dogs, cars, etc., and weve tried multiple trainers in the past without success, but working with Morgan made all the difference. She really cared about making sure Hunter was comfortable with her and his environment, helped set him up for success, and taught us how to work with him to improve his behavior. By the end of our training package, we were able to take Hunter for training sessions in Home Depot - something we never thought wed ever be able to do with him. We are so glad we went with Maximum K9, and cant wait to continue training through Lifetime and other group classes with them!

Fantastic work by the staff. Jim is a great trainer. He is patient with dogs and humans :). Jim gives clear and consistent direction and guidance. He is very approachable. Highly recommend this place.

I was having some issues with my dog, she had some reactivity issues and aggressive behaviors and also no recall. It was making it very stressful to walk her or drive in a car. A friend recommended Maximum K9 and I thought let me give it a try since I’ve tried everything else, well I’m so glad I called and signed up Fendy for the 4 week board and train. I met with Joe and he spent the time talking to me and explaining his training process and how dogs learn behaviors and how all dogs learn differently. He really put my mind at eased at took the time to listen to my concerns. Katie was her handler working with her was Kayla and I can’t say enough how wonderful they are and how awesome they work together to train not only your dog but you. Fendy is back home and it’s been so great she is a much happier dog and I’m so much more confident it working with my dogs and the training techniques they’ve thought. So if you are deciding if this something for you and your dog I say definitely do it you will not be disappointed.

A great place!! I came here with my crazy mutt that did a complete 180 training here with Morgan and others. Private training was a great choice for me and my dog. We are now able to do 1hr+ walks without any pulling or reactivity. I highly recommend this place for all your training needs as well as activities for your pup!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Morgan as a dog trainer and the entire staff at Maximum K9. From our first group lesson, it was clear that Morgan made an effort to understand my dog’s individual needs. Lucy is a friendly, excitable, one year old Bernedoodle. Morgan helped me address all of my concerns in our private lessons as well as a recent 10 day board and train. Morgan strikes the perfect balance between being stern and kind. I appreciate how Morgan emphasizes positive reinforcement while maintaining clear expectations. She has helped me become a better leader and strengthened my bond with Lucy. My dog and I both look forward to our lessons, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I will continue my work at Maximum K9 and I highly recommend Morgan.

I got a German Shepherd puppy and was interested in having him trained. After searching online, I found Maximum Canine in Deer Park and was surprised with all their excellent reviews. I started my pup with training in private lessons with Jim. The experience was excellent and Jim was great very easy to work with and saw a quick improvement! I highly recommend Maximum Canine definitely worth the investment in your dog. Just to add staff was always friendly very easy to deal with and it’s a real professional facility. Again, I give them five stars and highly recommend this place!

I cannot recommend Maximum Canine and our trainer, Jim, highly enough! His expertise, patience, and personalized approach have made a world of difference in training my dog. He didn’t just train my dog—he taught me how to understand and communicate with my pet more effectively.Every session was informative, hands-on, and tailored to our needs. Jim always took the time to explain techniques thoroughly and provided helpful tips to practice between sessions. The progress we’ve made is remarkable!

We had an incredible experience with Jim! Our dog has had such an incredible time throughout our 9 week training, and it truly makes us more willing to do more with her! Her sit, stay, recall, and dog reactivity have made remarkable improvements. We are already looking to sign up for another pack of classes. If you have been on the fence about training, do it! We are so happy we did.

Bugatti just finished a 4 week board & train at Maximum K9 and I can already see big changes! Thanks to Rosemary and Katie for all the great training (of me and Bugatti) to really help him work through his fears and know how to handle challenging situations. They provided constant video and picture updates of his progress throughout and helpful tips to help us continue his training confidently. His confidence, loose leash walking and recall are all greatly improved!

Maximum Canine was awesome in assisting my wife and I in becoming better dog handlers. We have 2 dogs each between 75-95 pounds. They heel, behave amazingly on leash, and are considerably more obedient.Sherri was patient with use as she helped us on our dog handling journey!!I recommend them with no reservation. They are outstanding.

Update: 5/30/24 -Just completed the Basic Obedience Level 1 class with Morgan and Toki and they were so wonderful! It focused a lot on honing in the foundation of training with added distraction. They found great ways to individualize the approach to each dogs level of distraction and it was really cool to see. My dog made a lot of progress in the 8 classes and I am so happy about it!Brought my 4/5 month old Great Pyrenees puppy to take the puppy class and it was fantastic!They are able to take an individualized approach for the needs of the various dogs in the class which I thought was an added bonus to see all steps of progression.All the staff is so friendly and informative as well. The retail area is my dogs favorite because of all the amazing treats they have for sale (if you have a big dog check out the giant femur bone).

My husband & I just finished an 8 week training session with Maximum K9. This is the second time we are bringing a dog of ours here for training. We both feel that this is the best training we have experienced. Our recent rescued pup is our 8th dog that we have been blessed with & we have worked with other trainers but no one compares to the trainers at Maximum K9. This recent session that we just completed was with Morgan & Rosemarie and my husband and I learned so much. I would like to take the time to thank Joe and his staff at Maximum Canine. From our first evaluation at the Hydrant located in Riverhead we knew we found the right person to work with out dog. Joe explained everything concisely and accurately on his plans to work with our 9 month old out of control working line German shepherd named Azreal. During the six weeks that Maximum boarded him at Deer Park facility , they trained him several times a day. During our several in facility visits we were pleasantly surprised on how well he was behaving and his bad behaviors were gone. Maximum also makes several home visits with the dog to work with the dog in this environment. They work issues that might have been a problem prior but are not any longer due to the Maximum training methods.Even after the dog comes home Joe reaches out via phone to see how everything is going.In conclusion, bringing my dog to Maximum was the best thing we did for our dog. Joe and his staff are top notch. I would highly recommend Maximum to anyone. I have already given the company name and phone number to 3 people.Special shout out to Rosemarie. Thank you.

I had an amazing experience at Maximum K9 Service. I brought my nine month old German shepherd, pup in for 9 sessions +6 sessions of 1 on 1 training with Sherry. He is my fourth German Shepherd and we had done puppy kindergarten elsewhere. I wanted a dog who was not only obedient, but who could participate fully in our active lifestyle. I have four grandchildren 7 and under. Through Sherry’s excellent guidance and training, our boy Mika is an active member of our family. She tailored each training session to meet the needs of our lifestyle. As issues came up, we tackled them during our one on one sessions. We trained in the big room, the lobby with customers and dogs coming in and out as well as training outside. Sherry was very patient with me and her style of teaching was nothing short of amazing. She made herself available to me in between sessions via text. I sent her videos at times if I was struggling in a situation and she gave me great feedback. When I did things wrong at home, we spent time in our next session discussing and practicing the proper technique/response. She never made me feel anything other than perfectly capable! I will forever be grateful for my time with Sherry and I highly recommend Maximum K9!!!

Hoppy did a 4 week board and train program. Katie and Kayla were fantastic. They wanted the best results for Hoppy and took the time to teach her and were especially patient with me. You can tell that they really care about the long term success of their dogs.Maximum K9 is the perfect fit for our training and boarding needs. I feel very lucky that I found a place that we can go to that Hoppy feels safe and supported. We are excited to continue advancing with the programs and classes with Maximum K9.

We started private training with Morgan when our puppy was 3 months old. Now he is 8 months old doing a 6 week board & train around service dog training, still with Morgan. I wouldn’t trust anywhere else to leave him, the level of communication and updates you receive during the stay makes the process much more comfortable! Seeing how much he has accomplished, and grown since our first session is beyond expectations! Seeing how happy and comfortable he is at Maximum K9 shows how much they truly care. We will continue his training with them for the years to come!

Just wanted to take a moment to commend Toki and the other staff members at Maximum K9 for training and taking care of our girl, Bowie, during her 3 week board & train. Toki really took the time to train us, as owners, to ensure we were set up to successfully carry out Bowies training at home. Her examples were super clear and really helped to illustrate how dogs come to understand commands. We could not recommend Maximum K9 and Toki enough!

A simple act of kindness goes a long way. My experience with Maximum K9 thus far has been positive. From my dogs initial evaluation to a nutritional consult, I have been pleased with my interactions. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind, but what is really prompting this review; I received a call from Ivan who works in the warehouse. I had placed an order, and he was preparing it. He noticed there was a shipping option that would save me money on future orders, and he called to inform me. He provided recommendations on the best time to order based on my location, as well as the best shipping options to select. He did not have to do that, but he took time out of his day to reach out. This is the kind of customer service that forges lifelong relationship.

Joe and Maximum K9 services was recommended to us for our 11 month old St Bernard, Kaia, that was becoming reactive around new people and surroundings and we could not be happier! We started one on one trainings with Jimmy and then put her in the Board and Train program and she had Katie as her trainer. The board and train program changed Kaia for the better. Katie’s patience, calmness and understanding of Kaia made us feel so comfortable. Kaia is now more comfortable and so are we. We wouldn’t be feeling this way if of was not for the experiences we had with Maximum K9. We start trainings with our other dog Oakley and are looking forward to the next level classes with Kaia! I had my dog Memphis placed in a 3-week board and train program at Maximum K-9. Katie was the trainer and handler of my dog throughout his time there. She built an excellent rapport with my high anxiety dog!! Katie worked tirelessly with Memphis and he returned to me well-trained and obedient. Sit/stay/leash walking/crate obedience plus much more. I too went in and was properly trained on managing him for when he would come home. On drop off day, Katie stayed woth me for an hour afterwards to help adjust him to return. Katie was phenomenal and kept me updated through messages AND videos of his training. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maximum K-9.

Nala did a 3 week board and train with Morgan. I wish I could give more than just 5 stars in my review. Morgan is honest, caring, and meets your dog where they’re at. She understands your dogs needs and will work them through their stress and anxiety. She’s funny and overall a great person. She answered all of my questions and eased the anxiety I had being away from our puppy for 3 weeks. Nala is still her quirky self but much more obedient and her reactivity has decreased significantly. Board and train was an awesome investment but it is just as much on the owners to maintain the work the trainers have put in with your dog. Thank you Morgan and Maximum K9 for putting in the work with Nala and providing us the tools for her to succeed

Jim was a great trainer! My dog Tucker learned so much in just 6 weeks and is now so much more well behaved and listens well. We will be coming back to do Lifetime classes so Tucker can keep up with his training! Thank you Maximum K9!

We had Katie and Kayla work with our dog Ziggy on basic commands/training, reactivity, and just being all around better. They were both wonderful and not only helped our pup, they helped us. Training is very hands on, communication is great, and loved the video updates too!We highly recommend Max K9, Katie and Kayla!

I would give six stars if I could. We dropped off a willful little dog that we loved but weren’t knowledgeable of training. Enter Rosemarie. We were nervous at first but were quickly put at ease with the constant communication and video updates. Her interaction with our little guy was amazing. She treated him like he was her own. What an impressive change when we got him back. Huge change. Look forward to working with with them, and Rosemarie, again. Highly recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about my dogs experience at maximum k9s board and train!! His lead trainer Toki was phenomenal, very attentive and took the time to thoroughly explain all the commands and training tools. All of the staff members were incredibly kind and helpful and it was clear my dog was well taken care of. After 4 weeks I can honestly say I have a different dog, I am so happy to have him home and so thankful for all of the trainers hard work!! I came to Maximum K-9 after adopting my second dog within a year. With two dogs in the home, it became obvious to me that I needed help training them. If you want trainers who essentially treat you and your dogs like family, this is the place. We started with our dog we adopted, already 1, and super dog reactive. Morgan was and has been nothing short of amazing! I do not recognize our oldest dog because of how well behaved he truly is after board and train. We left him for four weeks, he spent time training, we went in to train with him, and then we had a follow up home visit to continue to work on training. We then used them to start puppy training with our second dog, and then we decided to also board and train with him. Morgan also trained him and he is such a well behaved dog. Even beyond leaving we had our oldest in their lifetime classes with our dogs to continue to work and train them. We have done level 2, where you go out in public to put your dogs to the test. Katie does a wonderful job!!We really can’t recommend Morgan enough though as a trainer! She cares so much about the dogs and even beyond leaving maximum. They helped to us get the dogs baby ready. Helped when it came to getting our anxious dogs nails trimmed. We use them for boarding and the dogs already know everyone there. We are so so so thankful for maximum but especially to Morgan!!

Katie and Kayla were amazing trainers! Katie was so attentive to Thor during our trainings as was Kayla! We appreciate both of them so much! Thor took a bit to get comfortable but warmed right up to them! He has come home a totally new dog and we are so happy with our decision for choosing Maximum K9! We will definitely continue to recommend them to our friends and family!

We had nothing but a positive experience here for months. We brought our puppy to many classes and even completed 1:1 training. A month ago, our dog was involved in an incident and when we tried to reach out to our trainer for advice, we never got a text back or even a call to check in or give recommendations, tips, etc. We were so desperate for help and after spending a lot of money on sessions, we thought the least anyone could do was help in some way, shape, or form. We reached out to outside trainers and rescue groups for help, and everyone we spoke to told us that our trainer(s) should really be helping us more.

We sent our 1.5 year old German shepherd to Maximum Canine for a 4 week board and train. He was a super anxious dog with separation anxiety and very little obedience. He is so sweet but had poor recall, would jump all over guests and could never be commanded. After working with Morgan for 4 weeks, he came back a totally different dog. He is now confident, he has incredible recall, he goes to “place” at any point even when he’s extremely distracted and his “heel” is impeccable. Morgan was an excellent trainer who gave our dog the confidence and skills he needed to succeed and she was also a great teacher to us during the demos so we also feel confident with continuing our dog’s training and keeping up his skills. This training was the best decision we ever made for our family. We now have a wonderfully behaved, very calm and still super sweet dog who we are so proud to show off — all thanks to Morgan and Maximum Canine.

Very professional place! Jim is great instructor - we had six private lessons with him for our German Sheppard. After these lessons Daisy became more obedient and self confident. Jim recommended life time classes for further development. We attend them every week. Toki is an instructor and she is also very good

We enrolled our 8-month-old, highly reactive Australian Shepherd in a three-week board and train program, and the results were truly impressive.Before: reactive, barking/lunging at dogs and people. Barking at random scary objects. Pulling on the leash.After: confident, neutral (not barking crazy) at things that stimulated her in the past, walking on a loose leash, and even qualified for Level 3 Off Site obedience training, not something we would have imagined initially.The professionalism and organization of this company left a lasting impression. The staff is experienced and excels in communication. A very well run company!Our trainer, Toki Woods, went above and beyond from the start, beginning with a thorough discussion of our goals and concerns. She maintained near-daily contact over the entire three weeks, sharing photos and video clips of our dogs progress.Tokis dedication to her profession is evident in every interaction. She not only addressed our primary concerns, such as our dogs reactivity, but also surprised us by addressing our dogs fear of nail trimming—a detail we didnt expect her to remember amidst everything else. During her final visit, Toki provided us with a printed training summary. AND she also handwrote 2 pages of notes tailored specifically to our dogs needs.I asked Toki if she liked her job. Its not what she said, its how she said it. It was the most genuine I love my job response I have ever heard. Such a wonderful experience with Nicole and Maximum K9! She worked really well with our american bulldog, Remy, who has been struggling with some fear aggression towards people and other dogs. We did a mix of in-home sessions and in-facility, and there was a clear improvement in Remys behavior after just a couple of sessions. We use the Hydrant Hotel for boarding and will definitely be doing refresher sessions whenever Nicole is available and the pups are getting boarded. 10/10 recommend!!

Maximum Canine was the right choice for me and my dog. I was advised to do private sessions with Jimmy. He has given us a solid foundation to continue training for life and helped my dog and I go beyond our goals. We started our training at Maximum K9 when our golden retriever Winter was about 4 months old. We were looking for general obedience training and have gotten so much out of it. Our trainer Morgan is amazing! The knowledge and care that she was able to give to our pup was incredible. Morgan and the entire staff have always been friendly and accommodating and we can’t thank them enough. We highly recommend them for any personal and group training classes, as well as boarding/board and train. They have given us the tools and confidence to not only take care of our puppy, but to be able to involve her in all aspects of our lives. We feel very secure leaving our puppy in their care and know she will be well taken care of and loved! Everyone here truly loves what they do and it shows!

We went to Maximum K9 after seeing them at the LI pet expo. We interviewed several trainers and tried 2 different trainers that turned out unsuccessful and/or not a good fit. We decided to do the board and train for 4 weeks. Our dog is a 6/7 month old mixed breed shepherd/ bully. She has a very strong prey drive. She would constantly chase, bark and pounce on our cats. Morgan was our lead trainer. She was the absolute best. Great to work with, she constantly would update us with pictures and videos. She did an amazing job getting our dog’s impulse control manageable and teaching her obedience. We went to in facility and at home lessons with Morgan during our 4 weeks. I felt comfortable leaving my dog there. We also feel confident knowing it is not an end of the road after the 4 weeks but that there will be support and lifetime classes for us and our dog’ s journey. Maximum K9 will be our go to for boarding when we go away too.We also had a consult with the nutritionist and get our food there. We had the best experience at Maximum K9.

We took our cane corso to maximum so my wife could be able to walk him and control him with out me around. Nicole was awesome. She taught her how to use the e-collar and after 6 week my wife can walk him anywhere and he is completely under control. We are always complimented how well behaved our dog is. We tell th about maximum all the time.

We took our 4 year old hound/shepard mix pup to Maximum K9 for training, the board and train program. This is the first time we did a board and train, and I must admit we were a little concerned about leaving him for so long. How lucky could we be to get Morgan for his trainer. Her passion and love for dogs is at the top of the chart!!She combines tough love with compassion, and tailors her training based on knowing how our Cooper will best adapt and learn. He now knows and reacts to commands, which helps with his social behavior. When we started the program he was very anxious with new situations, other people, and other dogs. The program exposed him to all of this. It helped him to understand that he can trust his person has his back. Morgan taught us, too! She gave us the tools to work with and trained us to reinforce the commands and actions we want to reward.Its a continuous process, but without Morgans help we would not have progressed this far. She is a real gem! Even after we completed the board/train program, she did check-ins to see how we were all doing. Katie is the best! We have taken multiple obedience level classes, and Maui loves it. It’s been nice to see Maui’s transformation and watch him get over his fears throughout the years. At this point we enjoy taking the classes to socialize, site travel, bond, and most importantly for Maui to stay sharp. Maui also enjoys agility nights, it’s a good way to release that extra energy. All in all Maximum K9 offers a wide range of classes to suit all your fur baby needs and we highly recommend them.

We bought our vizsla pup in for training with Sherry who came highly recommended and she didn’t disappoint! She has taught us so much about understanding dogs and how to properly deal with their behavior. There’s things you don’t even realize you do daily that could have a negative impact on your training and the result you want to achieve. She does a very good job of breaking it down for us. Also dealing with problems right away every time they arise. Our dog is so much better now than when we started and he still has work to do and it’s all about consistency. Sherry takes her job very seriously and she’s amazing with dogs. Our dog immediately behaves in her presence. The crew over there are always super friendly but serious about the safety of your beloved pup. The nutritionist has also been extremely helpful and readily available. Highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to have a well behaved pup.

We had a wonderful experience working with Jim at Maximum K9. After a recent move that stressed our 2.5-year-old dog, we wanted to refine his training. The hybrid training program where 1/2 of the sessions were at the facility and 1/2 were at home provided a great balance where we could hone in on some of the basics in a controlled atmosphere and then deploy them in more real world settings towards the end of the program.Jim was incredibly patient with both us and our dog, teaching us effective tactics that were easy to implement and build upon. We saw tremendous progress in our dogs obedience and now feel confident in continuing his training ourselves. I highly recommend Jim for anyone looking to enhance their dogs skills—his expertise truly makes a difference!

Cannot recommend Maximum k9 enough, all the staff is amazing. Katie has gone above and beyond for my reactive 1.5 year old German shepherd Dane, both during training classes and even while he is there boarding for vacations! After completing level 3 group classes, Katie has still remained in touch to answer any questions I have and to give me tips on how to prepare for level 4. The dedication and love for the job that Katie and the rest of the staff at Maximum k9 have does not go unnoticed.

I feel so grateful that I was able to find Maximum K9 Service when I did. We were having issues with our dog Milo (Golden Retriever English Cream 11 months). He went from being a very sweet and submissive dog to showing signs of aggression when we would pet him on the head. With the help of Joe, we took Milo to get some blood work and discovered he was struggling with Lymes Disease and him being sick was the reason he was acting out. If not for Joe and his teams guidance it could have been life risking for Milo.Not only did Joe help us get to the bottom of Milos aggression (Medical reason) he helped us train Milo in areas that he was weak in like recall and following through on commands. He helped us take Milo from a dog that might sometimes listen when we called him to coming right away. With Joes simple philosophy and reinforcement training, Milo has been better behaved than ever and is feeling much better now that he is on medication. Thank you Joe for helping us with Milo and introducing a training technique that we will use forever. We are forever grateful!!

I put my Doberman, Reina, up for a month stay for their board and train program and from start to finish everyone was very helpful and informative. They kept in contact with me daily, not only detailing her progress, but also sending lots of videos and pictures. I’ve no words to describe how happy I was with that on its own. Katie was my pups trainer, absolutely amazing person and trainer. Huge huge huge thank you and shoutout to her for everything she’s done. I am incredibly grateful. Reina came home transformed and watching her at the facility and with Katie you can tell she really loved being there. She was loved and cared for and it shows. Katie is extremely knowledgeable, patient and caring. I’ve learned a ton myself from her on this journey between the demos, off site visit, and the in-home visits and am very excited to continue learning with their precision classes, lifetime classes and the offsite obedience classes. Maximum K9 absolutely saved us. We bought a Beauceron puppy, Edie, into our busy family with two kids (6yo and 3yo), and it turned into biting, destruction and complete chaos. We were heartbroken and about to give the dog up, when we met with Joe and agreed to private lessons and a 4 week B&T. I was so anxious and defeated, and unsure this would work.From our first conversation with our trainer Morgan Dalis, we knew Joe placed us in the right hands. She was experienced, knowledgeable, communicated the plan and path for success, and answered all of our questions. She educated us about our dog and was patient in explaining what we were doing wrong and helping us get it right. Edie came back from her training transformed!!! Morgan gave her a strong foundation of obedience. We were excited to work with Morgan so we could keep it up. She went above and beyond to help us work Edie training and play into our busy work and family schedules. We can’t thank you Maximum K9 enough! We were having a specialized issue with our pup eating our socks and our child’s bibs, socks and diapers. We’ve tried everything and even had training done elsewhere that sadly didnt’ work. From the moment I met Joe at our evaluation I was truly impressed by not only him but his staff. We did the 4 week board and train which was specialized to our dogs needs. Our trainer was Toki and she is fantastic! On day 1 after her evaluation we went over what our goals with the training were and how we can achieve them. Toki kept us updated on all Willows progress and would send videos and photos every few days. At our first training session with Toki and Willow I was floored. By the end of the 4 weeks we saw a massive shift in Willows behavior and can’t thank Toki enough. Willow has now been home for a few weeks and we are keeping up with the training sets that Toki provided for us. Toki has been folioing up and giving us feedback on what we’ve been seeing. Thank you all again !!! We cant wait to come to our first LIFE TIME CLASS!!!

Our puppy class with Jim was great. Our puppy and family learned a lot. The instruction was clear and consistent with helpful tools to deal with specific issues with our dog. We look forward to taking additional privates with Jim and group classes at Maximum K9.Update! Our dog just completed a week long board and train at Maximum K9 with trainers Katie and Kayla. We had the best experience! We received daily videos, photos and texts keeping us up to date on her progress. She came home such a better dog after just one week. I brought my 1 year old German shepherd Igor to be trained for 4 weeks at Maximum K9. I have never had any of my dogs trained so this was my first experience doing so. Rosemarie, his trainer, as well as the other staff at the facility were amazing to him, gave him so much love and exceeded all of my expectations! Igor has really evolved and learned a lot these past 4 weeks. I am so thankful for all of the hard work and dedication this team has put into training my dog, it really shows and by doing this for him, I am now able to feel confident with working with my dog so he becomes a better version of himself. I highly recommend bringing your dog to Maximum K9 if they have any training needs. The time rosemarie and the team put into him, bringing him to places in the community, as well as the at home demos really helped shape his behavior. I am very happy with the results! Highly recommend Maximum K9 for anything that has to do with dog training, health, behavior, or nutrition!!! We got our Rottweiler puppy through Maximum K9 and the experience was top notch. We can honestly say that we know if there are any questions or needs we have, these people are now like family and will help us with anything from boarding to training to health and any dog related issues that may arise. Can’t say enough great things about the store itself as it has everything you could possibly need for your dog’s health and nutrition. They sell large dog crates as well that are safe and comfortable for home use or transport which we purchased and are very happy with. The owner Joe is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional and his staff is the best I have ever seen when it comes to questions about dogs, dog training, and more. We did group puppy training and then private family training with our dog and couldn’t be happier with the results. Morgan is the trainer we used and we give her 5 stars!!! Highly recommend. There was a mix up with the shipping company, but Maximum K9 responded quickly and got it straightened out. Just got the treadmill today and I agree with other reviews I have read. It was packaged well, very secure, and assembly was very easy. Also, it’s easy to move around. My dog was timid at first but is now walking on her treadmill with lots of treat incentives and I know this will make a huge difference in her life when the cold weather hits as she is a very active breed.

If I could rate our time with MK9 it would be a MILLION stars.I sought higher quality training for our 1.5-year-old English Mastiff and found that they offered it out in Riverhead- very helpful not to have to drive far out west on LI!Most importantly: Our experience with the trainer, Nicole, has been life-changing! We came seeking obedience work because our dog would stare and lunge on leash at other dogs and we have had so much progress in a short time.Weve learned things from Nicole we didnt even expect to regarding dog behavior and even nutrition (all things that have vastly improved our time with our dog, Peanut)! They are clearly a very knowledgeable individual who has tons of experience.From the moment we arrived, Nicole has been all about making our time and investment worthwhile.Some of the most impactful things weve noticed thus far working with Nicole is the patience they have, taking the time to listen, and helping us train our dog around their own dogs, which has helped us immensely!!! As a result, Peanut has become more neutral around other dogs, improved recall and we are able to take him almost everywhere with us having trust and comfort with him around others.When we finish the training sessions we purchased, we will continue with Maximum K9 as our training choice because they are truly unmatched and worth every bit of our investment of time and money.

Seeing the progress and results of our training has been so rewarding. Not just because of the physical learned behaviors but because of the genuine building of our relationship, which I definitely credit to Morgan. Morgan is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring. She truly loves dogs and cares about your progress. She always took the time to make sure I understood exactly how to best communicate with Helix, giving such valuable insight about dogs behavior. Talia and Jeanine at Maximum K9 were so helpful with selecting some items I needed for my dog, Rugar. I came in looking for a crate and they helped me to choose the perfect one. Sherry was great! our pup was reactive and unable to go on walks around our town. after our private training sessions we are comfortable taking him on walks around and he is well behaved on our pet store visits! I didnt believe that he would make that much progress!We’ve also done level 1 with our puppy and Morgan& Toki since and both were great! Tito has completed level three with Katie who was awesome!

Took my Cane Corso for private training. He is now a different dog. They are really great and patient. We worked once a week, then worked at home on the things we learned in the school. it was a very effective system. I highly recommend bringing your dog to Maximum K9. You wont regret it. Joe the owner is great. He listens to all your issues and addresses each one. Positive training that work!

We just had our babygirl Tigua dropped off after a 3 1/2 week Board and Train with Katie as her handler/trainer. We had some trepidation about leaving her alone in a long term boarding situation, but as a puppy rescue from Antigua, she began showing signs of anxiousness and being ill at ease with strangers, and even friends and family visiting. Barking was constant, to the point we didnt know how she wasnt losing her voice. The training she required was more than we could provide, and we had to realize that for her own confidence and comfortability she really needed expert assistance. While we were away we received constant updates, via photos, videos and calls with Katie. Shes home and her demeanor and obedience skills are SO FAR above what we hoped for, we could not recommend Maximum K9, and in particular her trainer Katie enough. We will be following up with more training as we help our little furbaby grow and learn.. Thank you, Thank you! We will happily share more of our own videos in the future!

We have been using Maximum K9 for the past 1.5 years since we got our puppy Brü. After attending Level 1, 2 and 3 with joe and Katie (plus some private classes with Joe and Sherry) our pup is so well behaved that people think he is a service dog. The classes were very informative and the privates taught us how to work with our pup in a way that he understands. I cant thank Maximum K9 enough for all the tools they have given us as dog parents. Not to mention, they have the best bully sticks and massive femur bones that Brü is obsessed with!!

The first puppy class I attended with Jim went really well - he understood I did not want all treat based training and worked with us - however the second class was not a nice experience. I completed 3 out of 8 or 9 classes and refused to go back. I explained my feeling regarding treats and they said “while in this class treats” very condescending, and snarky. The one trainer did not agree with my collar choice and let me know it. While, standing outside with other class members and our puppies, we understood the rules not allow the puppies to be together, but yet she had to come outside stand there with her arms across her chest watching us. I’m not a child. I’m a grown woman and I understand not to let the dogs next to each other nor were they. I respect them as trainers however they need to respect the clients. I would never recommend anyone. Also, the collar was approved by my vet and breeder and I had successfully used it to train my previous Doberman. Also, you sell the same collar I was using and I was told if I use that collar, the dog will only learn by following the collar due to the pressure isn’t that the same method as following the food?

Lucy (almost one year old Bernedoodle) just spent three weeks with Maximum K9 and has come back to us a different dog. Rosemarie did a great job as her lead trainer. Lucy was a very energetic dog who pulled on the leash, counter surfed and jumped on people. She is no longer doing those bad habits. I would recommend Rosemarie and Maximum K9 to anyone looking for dog training.

We absolutely love the training we received from Maximum K9 with our wonderful trainer Katie and we rave about it all the time! We did private sessions for our puppy Truffle when she was 11 months old and Katie was so patient with her. She made training fun for all of us and helped Truffle work through new skills. We have seen Truffle improve dramatically and we can’t wait to start Level 3 classes soon.

Im so happy with the assistance in training my Belgian Malinois. Jim really understood the way my dog thinks which was essential to his training. Katies weekly maintenance training kept things interesting for my dog and fun for me. Joe the owner is honest and extremely knowledgeable. His input on some of the more complicated training was extremely valuable to my dogs success.

Katie was amazing! We felt so lucky to have her be Martys trainer. She was amazing at dealing with Marty and with us. Marty learned so much and seems like a totally changed dog! We cant thank her and Maximum Canine enough.

The staff at Maximum K9 is awesome and helped us with our new dog Guinness. But the superstar was Katie - Guinness’ personal trainer. Not only did she focus on all of our specific needs, she got Guinness to master so many commands. What I especially valued about all that Katie did for us was that she loved and cared for Guinness as if he was her own. We could not be more appreciative of all that Katie and Maximum K9 did to support Guinness. His growth is incredible!!!!

Our dog Sonoma just finished her 4-week board & train program with lead trainer Katie. All I can say is WOW! The bond they built over the time they spent together made being away from our pup for 4 weeks so worth it. Working with Katie and Maximum has been such an incredible experience. In the first few weeks, we were able to see so much progress. Sonoma definitely came with her handful of challenges but nothing Maximum K9 couldn’t handle…they gave Sonoma all the time, tools, and resources she needed to come back the perfect dog. Morgan at Maximum K9 is a ROCKSTAR!! Can’t thank you enough. We dropped Oakley off for a 4 week board and train and that was default leaving him. Three hours later I received a video from Morgan and Oakley bonding in the training room that was huge!!! The communication with Morgan and Maximum K9 was A+ service. Oakley has been home for a couple of days now and I can definitely see all the hard work Morgan put into him. Brought my 5 month old puppy here for training and the results were amazing! Toki is a great trainer, and took the time to work with each dog in our group class! They also always had additional trainers around to assist, Kayla would help us and was great! We finished level 1 obedience and are already signed up for level 2! Couldnt be happier!

Morgan and Maximum Canine helped me to make my young, wild and rambunctious lab a pleasure to be around! Morgan listened to my concerns and “issues” with my very energetic adolescent and tailored each session to helping me address and ultimately solve them. He was a pup that didn’t know how to settle, I was exhausted constantly on edge, chasing him around. Now he will lay down and I can actually relax with him. He no longer needs a leash at all times in the house (or outside), he doesn’t endlessly harass my older dogs and he listens. Rarely do I go on a walk where I am not stopped by someone so they can compliment me on how well behaved he is. My boy loves going to Maximum Canine! Everyone in the facility went out of their way to welcome us. Most impressive was how Morgan truly bonded with him. I can honestly say his time spent with Morgan was the highlight of his week. This was a wonderful experience for us both, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring another dog to Maximum Canine. We are looking forward to continuing our education with some fun classes in the future! We have come so far in 9 weeks, and can’t wait to continue our training through lifetime classes. Our relationship with Dexter is so much better, and our walks are enjoyable for both of us. We could not be more thankful that we found maximum k9 - because of them we are able to give our dog, Irwin, the absolute best life. We came to them for help with our Belgian malinois as a puppy. I remember being terrified walking into our first session that we would be turned away because of how much Irwin barked at people, dogs, leaves, the wind, etc. Morgan greeted us with a smile, let him “get his malinois out” and welcomed us into our first training session without hesitation. With her help, we have been able to tackle every issue no matter how big or small and every training session has been fun for both Irwin and us! Irwin has now graduated from his private training sessions and we are able to take him on every adventure from visiting the local coffee shop to walking the neighborhood calmly next to his 3 month old sister’s stroller to hiking and swimming at the beach. We have since taken advantage of joining in a lifetime class when our schedules allow to brush up on training with other dogs (we never imagined this possible in the beginning) and agility classes to work on Irwin’s skills. We love them and can’t wait to make it in again.We have additionally boarded Irwin with maximum twice and really could not recommend it more. We are so grateful not having to worry about if he is safe or if he will be put into a scenario that will set him up for failure. We take advantage of signing him up for treadmill sessions, private play and advanced training during his stay and he comes back happy, listening well and very well loved. We brought our cat Willow into our home last December. Our dog Luna has been with us for 10 years. Luna was naturally curious and interested in her new housemate, but somewhat overbearing. Our hope was that over time they would get accustomed to each other and they both could have access to the whole house. We used a baby gate to allow them to see and be near to each other while separated. As Willow grew and was able to jump over the gate, Luna’s reactions were instinctively quick and somewhat prey driven. We were concerned about injury to Willow. We contacted Maximum K9 to see if they could help with our situation. Joe came for an in-home evaluation and laid out what they could offer and expectations. We signed up for in-home dog training sessions. Jim came to our home once a week and gave us simple, easy to follow techniques to use with Luna. He was very willing to explain how and why the commands work, and extremely interested in hearing about any questions or concerns we had. We were given “homework” each week to help the progression. We’re very happy to say that after a month, Luna and Willow have been able to share space with each other, and without any worry from us that they’re going to have trouble between them. The stress that existed before was totally lifted. Jim was excellent, and we are very thankful to him and Maximum K9 for what they have done for us. Highly recommended!!

Weve been taking our Labrador Cato for group classes here with Toki since he was 4 months old, weve just finished up the level 2 group classes and could not be happier with his progress. Theres very few other trainers on long island with the level of care and expertise that youll find at Max K9. Were looking forward to continuing Catos training with the skills that weve gained through the group classesUpdate April 2024:Weve just finished a round of private training sessions with Sherry to tackle a few specific topics that we were encountering with Cato and to prep for level 3.Sherry was excellent at helping us understand how we can assist Cato in making the right choices during increasingly difficult encounters. She also taught us how to better use the training tools to give corrections at exactly the right moment, as well as reintroducing some treat training when increasing the difficulty.We were able to bring in other dogs to our sessions as well to tackle some reactivity issues that we were encountering. Overall these extra private sessions with Sherry were extremely worthwhile in both preparing Cato for the next level of training, and helping us with the more specific issues that we were having.

We rescued a super active pup that we knew would need formal training, and Maximum K9 came highly recommended. While I’d consider the cost a little steep, the program was definitely successful- Sherry was super helpful and patient. She used practical analogies to help us understand how to communicate with our dog, she involved our teen aged kids, and gave us “homework” to practice our skills at home. Definitely worth the investment!

We got a mini bernedoodle puppy this past December. She is currently 7ish months old and we had some struggles with her general behavior. She’s a super friendly dog and not aggressive by any means. We had a hard time getting her to control her puppy energy when walking, and having guests over.I researched dog training facilities on long island, and maximum k9 sat atop of all of the ratings. We schedule a consultation with our dog where they evaluated her as well as us. They are very thorough and stress the importance of not only training the dog, but also training the owners to ensure we are able to provide constant training once she was done with her classesWe booked a two week board and train session. Our dog was paired up with Toki as her trainer. Toki is such an amazing trainer and we can see why the puppies resonate so well with her. She has the energy, patience, and knowledge to ensure that the dogs she is working with gets the best experience possible.During our dogs stay, Toki kept in constant contact with us, providing updates via videos and pictures and text messages. Maximum k9’s program also involves the owners coming into their facility for onsite training. Had an amazing experience working with Jimmy at Maximum Canine. We did 9 weeks of private lessons and the end result was way better than we could have imagined. He utilized his expertise to explain things in a simple fashion that helped me and my wife understand how to train our 1 year old golden retriever. Before we came our dog Jetty struggled to control his excitement in various environments and by week 7 we had him in home depot walking around other people and distractions perfectly. We are also able to take him on hikes and adventures with confidence in the obedience we established. From the beginning to the end Jimmy stayed attentive and was always willing to answer our questions. If I could give more stars I would. February 2023: We came to Maximum K9 for our 6 month old Rottweiler Xena. We had multiple trainers work with her beforehand but we were still having a lot of obedience issues with her as well as reactivity issues. We got paired up with Sherry and in only 6 lessons we’ve seen an amazing change in Xena for the better. Her obedience has improved amazingly at home. Thank you so much Sherry!Update May 2023- 4- Week Board and Train: Xena has been home from board and train for 1 week now and she is doing great! We originally only signed Xena up for 3 weeks of board and train but she was doing so well that we decided to have her stay one more week. We were paired up with Morgan as her lead trainer and she is amazing! We got videos and updates almost every day about Xena’s progress. Leaving your dog anywhere for a prolonged amount of time is always nerve racking, but I felt extremely comfortable leaving her there. They noticed right away she wasn’t eating her full meals and had contacted me and we came up with a solution quickly to get her to eat her meals (she hates her dry food so this was not surprising hahaha). They have integration lessons both in the facility, out of the facility, and at your home to get you comfortable in handling your dog in different situations and scenarios. Morgan really took the time to bond with Xena and understand her, she then taught us what to look out for before Xena reacts, and if she does then how to handle it. Morgan was happy to answer any and all of my questions, and she made things very easy to understand. Now when I say a command Xena does it almost instantly without hesitation. We are going to continue going to Lifetime lessons to keep her skills sharp. Thank you so much Morgan and the Maximum K9 Team!

We adopted a nervous rescue pup and started at Maximum K-9 for private lessons with Jim! A friend had recommended the training facility and had good results with his pitbull! Jim was very nice and straight to the point of what we needed to do. He gave us some new ideas of how to deal with our puppies nervousness. I would highly recommend Jim and the private training with anyone at the facility. We realized our puppy’s nervousness was a little beyond our basic training and reached out to Maximum K-9 to do a board and train to help him further. They recommended Katie as his lead trainer as she is very good with those type of fears and her training expertise. Katie was so sweet to our boy and really got him out of his shell further than we could. I think he was having the time of his life with them, as they were very communicative and shared so many cute photos and really positive videos of him working. The videos were so helpful to see his training taking place and they answered any questions right away and were always in contact. Our pup graduated with a diploma and now we will still follow with group training to keep his skills and what we’ve learned sharp. Everyone at Maximum K-9 is so helpful and nice! Would recommend!!

We rescued a German Shepherd for the first time. As former German Shepherd owners we had experienced the loyalty of the breed and realized the importance of training.This dog was not socialized and had lived outside.We were introduced to Sherry and had a wonderful connection and terrific success with all aspects of the training program. There aren’t words to describe how happy we are with Mila’s positive change because of maximum k9. We did a board and train with Toki and she’s amazing. Super enthusiastic, great energy and highly educated herself. She was super informative and helpful teaching us what we needed to know for our dogs success. Our Doberman (Koda) worked with Morgan on some behavioral issues, and it went great! We started with the 4 week boarding training, and then bumped it up to 6 weeks to ensure the issues were resolved! Morgan did a great job keeping us up to date on progress, and showing us the correct way to build trust with our very emotional and intelligent girl. Koda is home and thriving now! She definitely loved working with Morgan, and so did we!

Morgan and the staff at Maximum K9 are wonderful to work with. Morgan made sure I understood the how’s and why’s of training my puppy to advance to the next step in service dog training. All my questions get answered promptly and it is evident that Morgan is an expert in her field. Her patience and reassurance is helping me be the best dog handler I can be.

Theyre an authorised Ruffland Kennel store, and with a new car, I needed new crates for my dogs. Its hard to find the XL size and its a 6wk lead time on shipping when I needed them in 2wks or less. Sarah had 2 double doors in stock (woot!), I was able to pre-pay and pick up on the weekend! They also had a wide range of treats, raw food, and working dog supplies in stock. We picked up some treats for our XL boy on the ride home. I may consider training classes in the future despite the long haul out from the city.

We can’t say enough good things about Max k9 and the team that helped our family with our wild and crazy English bulldog puppy. Toki and Morgan were amazing. They helped teach both Chubby and my family how to work together through the training.We used the board and train initially for Chubby, followed by weekly training sessions. We saw an immediate change in our pup after the board and train - and the weekly sessions helps us both to continue to improve.Our favorite part of the training, aside from the improvement we see every day, is the team we are working with. It’s clear that both Toki and Morgan genuinely care about Chubby, and Chubby is always happy during the sessions. It shows that training can be fun while also beneficial.I’m not sure where we would be without the entire crew at Max K9. We brought our 5 year old dog Rocco to maximum k9. We took him for an evaluation and decided to have him go for the 3 week board and train. We were skeptical that they “couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks” but we were wrong. Rocco now takes verbal commands and his behavior has improved significantly. They gave us the foundation and fundamentals to continue to improve upon. Morgan was so patient with Rocco. She sent pictures and videos so we could see what Rocco was doing and how he was training. I have been training at Max K9 since 2010 with my first GSD. We started feeding raw from Anita’s raw sold there as well and have continued with this high quality nutrition for all my dogs. My experience has been positive training and confidence building. I spent this summer training with MORGAN and my GSD, Ziva, and we loved our experience. Morgan is a savvy trainer, patient, kind and supportive. Morgan has been able to bring our much loved Ziva to a higher place in training. I am so grateful to MaxK9 and Morgan and we continue to train with Morgan and purchase our raw food from there.

I was always sceptical about people claiming to be dog trainers. When we met Joe, he helped put my mind at ease. He seemed to know his business so we decided to schedule one session to meet the trainer. Nichole sealed the deal. She was so down to earth and easy to work with that we signed up. Charly was basically a good dog, a bit shy but well behaved, unless we came across another dog when out on a walk. He was very reactive and out of control. Nichole was great, extremely patient with us as we seemed to need more training than Charlie. When she brought her her incredibly well trained dogs in to help it helped tremendously. She really put us and Charlie through the paces and it paid off. I can take Charlie for a walk with more confidence, feeling a level of trust I did not have before. When we encounter another dog I have Charlie heel and he walks past like a gentleman. My wife and I cant thank Nichole enough for all she has done for us and Charlie. We actually miss her weekly visits as she was so much fun to work with.

Maximum K9 changed our puppy from a fearful, reactive, defiant dog to a confident, well-mannered, GOOD BOY with the Board & Train program. Katie and the team have been fantastic and are still helping us after Drogo has been home. Special shoutout not only to Katie, but Kayla and Will also. Drogo loves and misses all of you!Drogo is an 8-month Cane Corso puppy. When I arrived at the store to drop him off for training, Drogo was lunging and growling at every person who entered. It was dangerous and not to mention embarrassing. I’ve had to leave other dog-friendly places because of the same awful behavior. What a mess we were.When I returned to Maximum K9 for a demo after 2 weeks, Katie and Kayla trained me with Drogo and then took us into the same store, this time more bustling and crowded than at drop-off. Drogo and I were able to walk around calmly, he was not reactive at all, and I was able to put him into a down position and he stayed. It was like I was seeing a DIFFERENT DOG! Wow!I could go on and on with examples and stories and I honestly can’t say enough great things, but the bottom line is that this was one of the best decisions we’ve made and we had an amazing experience. Drogo is a GOOD BOY and he was loved and well cared for by all of the staff. I am now confident and proud to walk with Drogo. So we had brought in our male Rottweiler who had been really attached to my mother who’s health had been going bad. He became reactive to people coming near our home, cars passing by, it had become continuously hard to take him out as he was so bonded to my mother he couldn’t stand the thought of anything coming near mom or hurting her. Thanks to Katie and Kayla they were able to reach us how to handle our baby boy and to work on the trauma and insecurity making him reactive.

Excellent training with Toki Woods! Structured program with the multitude of tips and suggestions and a great insight into dogs’ behavior in general. The lessons were highlights of Bart’s week, he couldn’t wait to go back to the class. When he was sick, he could enjoy lessons on zoom not to lag behind. I just want to share how much training my cattle/border collie mix at Maximum k9 has literally changed our lives. We did private training with Morgan and Axel is literally a whole new dog. He was reactive, always lunging and barking at other dogs it was impossible to walk him without hiding behind cars, we weren’t able to take him to the park or anything without feeling so embarrassed. I can literally say we took him to the park for the first time last week and he behaved SO well. He walked without lunging or barking and we were able to play without him getting distracted. I just finished the AKC puppy class and I thought it was a great class. Jim the trainer kept it fun and we learned a lot. Definitely a great way to start off a good relationship with your dog. Plus it allowed for the puppies to play and socialize together after class. I will definitely be signing up for more classes.

Can’t say enough about Maximum K-9 training and staff, especially Morgan. Our two year old shepherd, Maya, just completed a two week board and train and the results are pretty impressive. More so, it is vividly apparent how much Morgan truly cares about Maya. The transition to home has be surprisingly successful and we look forward to working together with Morgan and the staff in upcoming lessons and activities as well as boarding!

I have been bringing Luna to maximumk9 since she was about 2 months, she’s two years old now. We have made so much progress, the trainers here are amazing. We started with Jimmy for level 1&2 and Katie for level 3&4 which is outside of the facility. Katie is always looking for locations or ways to expose our dogs to different scenarios. Not only do I bring Luna here for training but also purchase their raw food and treats which she loves so much. I highly recommend maximum k9.

Rosemarie and the Maximum K9 team has made a huge difference in the way that our Standard Bernedoodle acts, walks on a leash, behaves, and listens. Update 8/18/2023:We used Maximum K9 for a board and train for our hyperactive bull terrier Baci. We wanted to correct his overall obedience and leash manners. After 3 weeks training with Katie, Sarah, and Lauren - Baci is a different dog! We had no idea he was capable of anything they taught him! Baci went from pulling on the leash to heeling next to us on a loose leash. From snapping at us when putting on his collars and putting him in his crate- to a calm and patient dog. I can go on and on raving about the services that maximum k9 provides. Katie , Sarah, and Lauren were so professional in teaching Baci as well as Us! You can really tell how much knowledge they have on dog training and how much love they have for dogs. They really want us to succeed. I can say we have a happier home for both us and our dog. Our favorite part about Maximum K9 is that they offer add ons for your dog while they are boarding there. We paid extra for treadmill sessions for our hyper guy and it put us at ease that he had an energy outlet while staying there. They even sent us videos of our pup loving the treadmill! If there is ever an issue they let you know right away and would contact a vet to come right away if needed. They are very responsive and answer the phone when we called to check in on him. Everyone at the front desk, staff, and owner are so professional, kind, and genuinely seem to care about your dog and your wants and needs. We are very happy with Maximum K9 and will continue to use them for our boarding / future training needs!

Working with Maximum K9 service has been amazing. They are extremely professional and run a great facility. We worked with Sherry who is very knowledgeable. Morgan has been so great with helping learn how to work with my dog Phoebe. We took a few private lessons following level 1 and we are now going to start level 2. The private sessions really solidified and reinforced what the group class provided. I cannot recommend Morgan and Maximum K9 enough!

Maximum K9 is hands down the best training operation in the tristate! I have done 3 board and train over the years and the results are absolutely amazing. I moved to NJ a few years back but I recently added a Rottweiler furbaby to the family and bought her to Kate for a B&T. Kate is one of the best. She was able to analyze her personality to see what motivated her very quick and got right to work. My Zena is only four months and came home so well mannered. Kate focused on all the right behavioral issues, the ones she struggled with so she could succeed. Zena went from being shy and scared of people, to wanting to talk to everyone now. Kate gave me the tools to continue working with Zena as training never ends and her process works. No matter what behavioral issues you may be experiencing Kate and the trainers at Maximum K9 have the solution.

This review is for Morgan and her work with my 11 month old Doberman in board and train. But let me preface by noting I’ve taken their puppy, obedience 1, obedience 2, and precision handling classes before board and train. It was during obedience 2 that Morgan, who was not even teaching the class, noticed I was struggling with my dog. She pulled me aside and spent an hour talking with me. I knew then she was the perfect fit for me and my dog. Because dog training isn’t just about our dogs, it’s about teaching their owners. We ultimately decided to begin with private lessons to work together before board and train. Morgan listened to my concerns and worked through each and EVERY one with my dog during board and train. But she also taught me how to be a great dog owner. The continued support after board and train makes you feel like more than just a client. Maximum has a great staff. And there is a trainer ready and available for each dog and dog owner. The staff is truly supportive of each dogs journey. I will be a forever client.

We did a week board and train on the back of a vacation. Everything went extremely well. Logistically, they are on to of everything, but the part that put it over the top was our amazing trainer Rosemarie. It was clear from our interactions that she had a true bond with our pup.Could not be happier overall!

We dropped Loki off only 5 weeks ago and today he is a completely different dog for the better. Still the same goofy personality but now neutral to unfamiliar people who he was once very reactive towards.We could immediately tell Loki would be in great hands with his trainer, Katie. She made sure to keep us in the loop and send us photos and videos almost daily.Katie has given us the tools to enjoy Loki both at home and in public. I am not worried anymore when I take him out to go to the bathroom and am so excited to take him for walks in town and to the beach.I would also like to mention Sara who was able to assist in helping train Loki during his home visits, pretending to be a “visitor”, etc. such a good team!!! The training is set up to have you go to places on LI and into NYC where there are a lot of distractions. Your dog must be obedient in the presence of many dogs and in a crowded and noisy environment. Katie helped my dog to ignore all the distractions and succeed. 6 weeks ago I came in for a consultation at Maximum K9 in tears, defeated and exhausted from trying to execute training tips and advice from other trainers from different organizations and this was my last hope before washing my Service Dog prospect that I’ve poured hundreds of hours and so much money into already. Morgan was honest, compassionate, realistic but incredibly supportive. We created goals and a plan and she was super patient and thoughtful with both myself and my dog. In these 6 weeks I have learned so much about being a better handler, my dog has become more confident, capable of taking on different situations and also having so much fun in the process whether we’re at the facility training or working on what we learned at home. Yesterday we completed that first private training package with our trainer Morgan and I can’t believe the strides we’ve made in such a short time with such positive loving encouragement to my dog. She truly has changed our lives and saved my dogs career, giving me peace of mind and helped us enjoy life together again. She is one of the best people I’ve ever met hands down. I am already so excited to continue training with her, join group classes and look forward to lifetime classes I had heard incredible things about Maximum K9 and had no idea they’d exceed all the expectations I could’ve had. I can’t recommend enough for SD handlers/anyone disabled looking into SD training, with questions/anyone who is looking for training of any kind whether you’re extremely knowledgeable about dogs or have no clue where to start looking for a place, to go to get good advice, a supportive atmosphere, no judgement and a place your dog will love and be excited to go to to call Maximum K9 without a doubt. My dog Kano did levels 1 and 2 with Toki. Toki is amazing!! Soo funny and she’s so caring towards the dogs and their parents. She’ll stay after class if you have a question. I wish she did privates. The classes are great! Very organized and really helped Kano with his basic obedience skills. Toki recommended a prong collar and during class let me borrow 1 to make sure I’m using it correctly before purchasing 1 from their gift shop.

My husband Matt and I enrolled our 6 year old golden doodle in the 9 week private training program with Sheri when we got a new puppy. Sheri was amazing, and tailored every session to our dogs needs. Half way through our sessions she invited us to bring our new puppy, a 6Month old bernadoodle to our sessions. Where the training was great for our 6 year oldAlone, it was worth its weight in gold for the puppy. He responded to Sheri immediately and his behavior was noticeably better in only 3Sessions. We’ll be back for future training. And would highly recommend Sheri and the entire team for training!

Took our German Shepherd puppy Sonoma to Maximum K9 for their 6-week private puppy classes followed by 6-hour long sessions with Sherry. In that time our pup has become so much more engaged with us, knows all her basic commands, and is set up with the essentials to be an amazing family dog. Sonoma will also be doing a 4-week board and train program through Maximum. Highly recommend Maximum K9, especially Sherry, to anyone who needs a little extra guidance on how to train their dog. 10/10 worth the investment!

My boyfriend and I brought our puppy Lupe here, and we love it! We first did private training with Morgan. She is helpful and knowledgeable and made this a positive experience for all of us. Lupe also did one week of boarding and training. Toki worked well with her. She updated us throughout the day and sent us videos of what she worked on. My husband and I needed help with our beautiful, but stubborn, beagle Oliver. We addressed all of our concerns and goals with his trainer Sherry during the consultation and she was nothing but informative, understanding and relatable. With just one consult we gained a better understanding of what we could do better and how we could form a meaningful relationship with Ollie. After completing 6 private sessions with Sherry, we learned valuable lessons that we will carry forward with Oliver. Each week she addressed our goals and built on the lessons we had learned. Sherry has a huge passion for what she does and we loved watching her train Ollie. You could see the love she has for animals in the way she teaches them and talks/plays with them outside of training mode. Most importantly she taught us how to understand Ollie’s language and thought processing. We felt the training wasn’t so much about Ollie, but rather teaching us how to build a better, trusting owner-pet relationship. Ollie struggled so much with listening to us and respecting our commands and by the end of the 6 week session, Ollie had become so focused on us and now he knows what “no” means and respects it (most of the time, he still is a beagle at the end of the day!). There was a point in our training where I became so emotional seeing how well Ollie was walking with us. I saw so much growth in not just him, but my husband I as his owners and our new companionship. We have every intention of doing boarding & training sessions with Ollie to work on deeper-rooted anxiety issues in the future. We have full trust that he will be in amazing hands. We are so grateful for Maximum K9 and their amazing services. We can’t begin to express our gratitude for Sherry. Maximum K9 was recommended by a friend and we are grateful he did. We never expected to have a 3rd dog and Coco was a handful. My husband calls her Miley Cyrus, the wrecking ball. Barreling out of the car and charging for the door or seeing her leash and losing her mind to get out for a walk. Barking and charging at anyone in or around the pool. She was just too much too handle. I knew we needed help. The 3 week board and train was the best decision I made. Money well spent. The trainers at Maximum K9 change lives. When I adopted Becky Sue as an adult dog, I had no idea the extent of her fears and utter lack of exposure. This dog was terrified of everyone and everything in the world. With the help of the trainers at Maximum K9, she is like a whole new dog! Most recently, we took the Level 3 class with trainer Katie. This class gave us real world experiences and gave me the tools to help Becky Sue through it all. Katie is a charismatic, caring, and lively trainer who takes the time to address the individual needs of all of the dogs in her classes. We got a puppy and we’re expecting an adjustment faze with our 3 cats. As weeks passed the pup was becoming more pray driven and had an intense stare which was difficult to break. So my wife and I decided to work out the dog with walks and play and tire the dog out so it would be more compliant with training or just too tired to attack the cats. This backfired because all we were doing was producing a stronger disobedient puppy. We tried a a couple other trainers. The first trainer got so frustrated with our puppy that she picked up our puppy by the collar off the ground and shook her bad. We never went back to that trainer but a part of me felt vindicated because the trainer hand 40 years of training and this puppy snapped her. Next trainer was good but didn’t curb the prey drive.Finally we saw maximum K9 service at the pet expo, made an appointment and got Morgan as our trainer. We did the 4 week training and we were updated every step of the way. The best part of the experience was how my wife and I were trained on how to train our dog. The first 24 hours of having our dog back I am back to being happy and optimistic about my dog’s future. The cats have actually rubbed up against the dog and slowly there is trust. Before we could not let the dog around the house without someone holding a leash at all times. It sucked. Now with the assistance of the E collar she is learning good habits and the corrections have been few.Thank you so much for all your help and future help. We will definitely be going to the other training programs they offer.

I couldn’t rave higher about a place than here. Our journey started with maximum k9 3 years ago after getting a husky with a 4 cat household. Our pup was super reactive to them so we enrolled our dog in a few different trainings before settling onto Maximum k9. We did a board and train with Morgan and it was worth every penny and minute invested. We adopted another dog this year and had him do a board and train with Morgan and I can confidently say the same. They truly do magic at not only teaching your dog, but also teaching you to handle your dog. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I thought thw turnout was really goodI entered not really knowing what to expect. I enjoyed the snacks provided and once it started appreciated the info provided about nutrition and the question and answer portion that followed.It continued by showing different trained dogs which was entertaining as well as informative.Before the class started I was wondering why people would go to more than one Canine & Coffee but by the end, I myself, was looking forward to attend the next one.The staff was friendly and receptive to any questions asked.

My frenchie Penny just finished our 9 week private lessons with Morgan and I am so proud of how much Penny has improved with leash walking, dog reactivity and basic listening/distractions since starting our classes! We started back to square one and Morgan was incredibly helpful teaching ME how to properly go about a situation to steer Penny to success! We went from skiddish/consistant barking on week 1 walking into the door to walking in calmer with good confidence a few weeks later. Morgan thought out of the box with fun things I can try to get Penny to acknowledge me on walks and also to give her confidence out in new environments. Morgan is a wonderful trainer to work with and you can tell she really cares for all the dogs she works. Penny has always been so excited to go to class and we cannot thank you enough!

Maximum K9 was recommended to my wife and I by a friend who was able to transform her multiple rescue shepherds from aggressive to family dogs thanks to the help of the owner Joe at Maximum K9. We have a rambunctious bull terrier who was always getting into trouble and giving us problems at home. Katie and Sarah trained our hyper Bull terrier Baci in a board and train. We did not think he would be capable of the level of training which they were able to accomplish with him. We discovered he is capable, and very smart! The entire staff at maximum k9 is so professional and knowledgeable in what they do. You can tell everyone is passionate about working with dogs. We feel so comfortable leaving our guy here for boarding, we know he is looking after with the upmost care. We can confirm this since Baci is SO excited to get out of the truck whenever we get to Maximum K9. He can’t wait to see everyone there! We were also able to purchase a dog treadmill from them directly and learn how to use it and now Baci loves getting his energy out on his treadmill at home. We also love their line of dog treats (Anita’s), natural alternatives to the typical store bought treats and our dog goes crazy for them. Thank you all for everything you do to help us out with Baci and for helping us have more peace at home for both us and our pup. Baci is so well mannered at home now. He does not try to jump up on the furniture or jump up at our guests. He listens to his commands, and we only have to ask him to come inside from the yard once! If you know bull terriers they can be stubborn, but maximum k9 handled our concerns with ease and was able to teach not only Baci but also us. There is always room for improvement, and maximum k9 offers those follow up classes and group work classes which you can attend to refresh and maintain training. Your dog will come home from training with a plan for their future. We love maximum k9! We are SO thankful! We would highly recommend them to anyone for any type of dog training / behavioral issues!

Big thanks to our AMAZING trainer Morgan! When we first started Duke was reactive and only knew basic commands. Morgan was so confident in Duke starting from our very first class. Thanks to our private lessons we were able to increase our knowledge on how to handle Duke, learn new skills, new commands and take control of his reactive behavior. I never thought Duke would advance as much as he did throughout our lessons. I will never be able to thank Morgan and all Maximum K9 enough! I 1000% recommend their dog training! 🐶

Maximum Canine (K9) is an amazing dog training school! I brought my German Shepard puppy, first for the puppy private lessons & then onto Level 1 obedience which we just completed. I am very happy with the quality of training that she has received and am thrilled with the results. It’s just as much as training & educating the owner as much as is about training your dog. As with anything else in life, you get out what you put in. Their trainers are extremely knowledgeable and their techniques work! I brought my 2 and a half year old standard poodle May here for the 6 week behavior modification because she wouldn’t do well on walks when we saw most people and she would lunge and bark at other dogs. After maybe 2 lessons with Nicole I was able to take May on walks without worrying about her behavior towards other dogs. It was like night and day. They give you and your dog the proper tools to set them up for success. I have recommended Maximum K9 to so many people who have dogs because this place really is great. Everyone there is so kind and they genuinely want to help your dog. May isn’t even finished with her 6 week program but I am already looking into putting her in one of their sport programs because she has done so well these last 4 weeks and she loves going to training. I am so grateful for finding this place!! So worth it.

I brought my Bernese Mountain dog puppy Bear for nine weeks of training with Morgan. I was very impressed with the training. Bear was taught many commands was taught to walk on a leash properly and in my control at all times, even though he’s 100 pounds. Morgan was a pleasure to deal with. She worked through all my nervousness and made me feel very comfortable. I. would like to thank her for Helping Bear achieve all the goals we set for him. Anybody looking for training should definitely consider Maximum k9 services they achieve what they set out to do.

If you’re thinking about giving Maximum K9 a call, this is your sign to do it.I need to begin by saying that Max K9 quite literally saved my relationship with my dog. When I adopted Oakley back in December of 2020, I was told he had been adopted once before and returned. Given the immediate bond him and I had at the shelter, I knew he was the one and I was determined to do whatever it took to make him the best version of himself. Oakley quickly became aggressive when I brought him home. It wasn’t until August of 2021 that I found Maximum K9 and started private trainings with Sherry who was fantastic!! She really laid the foundations for me and Oakley and he came a very long way from when I first adopted him.Fast forward a few months post-training, Oakley grew into new behaviors… ones that were far worse. His behaviors included going absolutely bonkers over squirrels (or anything small that moved), being so excited that he couldn’t contain himself and would just run into and jump onto people when they came in the door, ignoring commands in the backyard, pulling on leash, etc. The squirrel issue got to the point where I was afraid to take Oakley on walks because he had taken me and my mom, who watches him when I am at work, down several times and seriously hurt us. I was angry, I was frustrated and I was sad. I decided to give Max K9 another call and that’s when they suggested a 3 week board and train.KATIE was his trainer and I don’t have enough words to describe just how amazing she is. She took the time to understand my concerns and she empathized with me. She explained every behavior, why it was happening, what to expect, and exactly how she was going about correcting the behaviors. She sent me videos and pictures of my happy boy learning along the way, as well as explanations of what she was working on and how she was working on it. She was patient and answered all my questions, some that I definitely asked way more than once, and she really paid attention to Oakley (noticing hot spots forming and treating it, moving him to a quiet room, etc). From the videos and the interactions I saw of her with him, you can clearly see how much she truly cared for Oakley and all of her dogs and her job. Oakley came home a new dog (with the same goofy personality). I can now confidently take him on nice walks without fear that he’s going to hurt me if he sees a squirrel. Not only has his obedience greatly improved, but my relationship with him has already improved as well. I just signed up for our first Lifetime class for this upcoming Monday and I am excited to continue learning, training and bonding with Oakley. THANK YOU MAX K9 and all your amazing trainers!!!

If you just need to tidy up your pups training or if you have a big, stubborn pooch with a few naughty behaviors; Maximum K9 is the place to go! Duke first had an evaluation with Joe, who suggested which classes would be suitable for us. I opted to start with private, in facility obedience lessons. Each week when Duke saw me grab his backpack he would get sooo excited because he knew we were headed to Maximum and he truly enjoyed training with Jim! Jim helped me identify and utilize training tools and techniques that enabled Duke to understand what I was asking of him and therefore do as I asked.....though he tried to be a bit stubborn! We worked through that, though, and I look forward to pursuing additional training with Duke at Maximum. If I could only decide between Precision Handling, Off-Site Obedience, or maybe Protection? In the meantime we will surely take advantage of the Lifetime classes!! We also made sure to stock up on some Anitas food on the way out, my dogs all love the Prey Model, any flavor will do!

Morgan is terrific. We all love her. She’s professional and carrying. She didn’t just help us to train our GSD puppy Hemi, but also taught us, the human, the proper way to interact with our dog and understanding our dog better. Morgan answered every question we asked with strong knowledge and experiments of dog training, both theoretically and practically. Hemi’s graduated from his first session of private training program this Jan. Looking forward to be back in March for precision handling and obedience training with Morgan. Sure it will be more fun!

We were very worried that our 4 dogs would be uncontrollable. we tried many other training options and finally found maximum k9.when we started out we met Jimmy our trainer. over the course of 16 weeks and four dogs jim showed patience , proficiency and professionalism which led to our dogs being trained and become an enjoyable addition to our family. the training and evidence helped us through a troubling time. we could not be happier with our choice and feel any other trainer couldnt possibly have been as proficient in their work. highly recommend jim from maximum k9.

Jimmy was our trainer for our 1 year old Lab mix, Callie. He was excellent and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of dog training. Jimmy was very knowledgeable and Callie bonded very quickly with Jimmy. Jimmy taught me and my husband what we needed to do to get Callie to respond appropriately. During our sessions, if Callie didn’t display the appropriate behavior we were looking for, Jimmy taught us different methods of engaging Callie and thereby correcting her behavior. Everything he taught us made sense and Callie’s behavior is much improved! Thank you Jimmy for all of your help, knowledge and expertise!!

We sent our dog delilah, she is a Labrador retriever, 1 1/2 years old, to Maximum K9’s 3 week in house program. I believe it was the best investment for me, my husband, our other dog stella and delilah herself. She learned many commands including, sit, down, stay, heel, come, place, up, off, leave it, and cage. I feel safe taking her on walks, recalling her back into the house if she gets loose, being in control of our dogs not fighting in the house and enjoying public spaces without her trying to jump on people or get into other dogs spaces. Delilahs trainer Katie was amazing. She taught delilah all her new commands. Delilahs tail was always wagging and she seemed so happy in every video and picture they sent us throughout the 3 weeks. Katie took her on field trips to train stations, Lowes and restaurants to train her with more stimuli. We had about 4 home sessions and 2/3 in house sessions where katie taught us how to handle delilah ourselves. She even helped us train her to get in and out of the pool. We were left with a cheat sheet on all her commands and any tips from katie once training was done so we can easily continue. Maximum K9 also has continuation classes on site and off site to help continue training and troubleshoot. I felt confident Delilah was taken care of and would do it all again in a heartbeat! Joe is an amazing dog trainer. Our ten month old, 80 pound male English Cream Retriever was acting out aggressively. Joe trained us, and the dog, and within two weeks solved the problem, and deepened our connection to our dog. We are now one big happy family. Thank you Joe!!!

Maximum K9 is the best investment I could have made for my dog…and me. I came here, basically in full blown crisis mode with my dog Sampson. After they talked me down from my hysteria, they set me up with a board and train and the rest was history. Thanks to all the help from Nicole, Katie, Jim, Morgan and Joe over the years, my dog enjoys a quality of life I never would have thought possible.Also shoutout to Kaleigh and Ali for always helping out with my diet and nutrition questions. Switching Sampson to the Anita’s raw food was a huge game changer and I never looked back. It’s worth every penny.

As someone who has been through far too many trainers, countless hours of stress and a lot of money wasted, I can tell you Katie at MaxK9 is the BEST around. She brings experience working with all breeds of dogs, quirks, anxieties etc and tailors her training to make your dog a confident companion. She is very caring and you can tell she’s passionate about everyone she engages when you go to lifetime classes. We did a 6 week board and train with her and highly recommend it. The only program I found that takes your dog out the facility and into real life scenarios to proof their obedience. Training isn’t a quick few week fix if your dog has reinforced behavioral issues, so you need to be willing to put in work on your time and come to the weekly classes. When I am not physically training with Katie, I know I can send her SOS videos and she’ll guide me and Marie. Thanks Katie and Joe for all you do!

I’ve been taking my puppy to maximum k9 and we have done level 1 and 2 with Jimmy and Luna has improved so much. She’s 9 months now and passed her AKC canine good citizen test. I definitely recommend this place, Jimmy was very helpful, he is very experienced in dog training and always gave us time for questions or concerns before and after class. Definitely taking luna back for level 3 and hopefully agility classes as well.

I brought my gsd pup Jaxson for his first puppy class Jim was the instructor he was an awesome trainer. Now ive had raised 5 german shepherds all were exceptional ive read books and everything my latest pup seems too be a challenge for me dont know if its my age his independence but having Jim visual show me what i could do better for me is amazing. He is highly qualified has so much patience with humans and dogs lol i so respect him and so does Jaxson you wont be sorry having Jim as your trainer.

I was given Joe as a reference of maximumK9 from a friend of mine who couldnt speak more highly about his program and what they did for his two Rottweilers. I have an amstaff myself with absolutely zero manners. Not only were they able to train my dog but they took the time to train me and get me where I could handle my crazy freaking dog. Really appreciative of everything theyve done for me. You wont regret him and his incredible staff.

I spent many days/hrs looking for the perfect team to help me train Dolly. Just when I started to lose hope I came across Maximum K9 Service on Tik Tok. Not only did they help dolly improve with somethings she struggled with such as leash pulling, aggressiveness towards other dogs, skaters, people etc they also helped my family & I be comfortable/confident in uncomfortable situations. Thank you to Katie for always being by our side and breaking down everything even in Spanish! which was a plus because my mom was able to understand & participate in the sessions. Although this board and train program has been the longest 4 weeks of my life without dolly, I can say that it is 100% worth it! And like I told Katie earlier today she won’t be getting rid of us anytime soon or ever lol because this is the beginning of something great for dolly & my family! I 100% recommended Maximum K9 and Katie!!!

Great training tips from trainer Sherry. She is a great trainer who really knows how to connect with dogs. Her private sessions were informative and she gave us a lot of tips and suggestions of what to do at home. Not only did our Siberian Husky Lazzy get trained but also myself and my wife Ellen.

We got to try the “Turkey & Banana” limited ingredient high protein treats and they are awesome, my dogs love them.It’s the perfect snack after a training session or after a hiking afternoon, 100% recommended!

Katie is an exceptionally talented dog trainer. She explains things very well, is patient, knowledgeable and it’s obvious she loves what she does. I would recommend her highly. Her help with my Doberman Cody has been invaluable

Maximum K9 has been nothing short of an amazing experience! They offered great guidance and direction on how to best train our 2 pit bulls, we are excited to continue our training and moving on to more advanced training. We have now had individual training sessions with Morgan & Katie. They are the absolute best. They take time to really listen and how they can best support you and your pup. I highly recommend both Morgan & Katie, they are super helpful in class, or at home if we needed additional tips & techniques, they were a text/ phone call away. They offered really individualized training for our lifestyle. I look forward to continuing our journey with Maximum k9.

We took our puppy Cora to Maximum K9 after only having her for 9 days. Private lessons with Jimmy helped us build a strong relationship with her and helped build her confidence and obedience. Next we did level 3 classes off site with Katie which helped Cora’s confidence and obedience blossom even further. We would recommend Maximum K9 to anyone and look forward to taking more classes with them in the future!

If I could leave 10 stars I would!!! I recommend Maximum K9 without reservation and with the highest praise. Winston, our golden/bernadoodle went to Maximum K9 as an unruly jumping crazy puppy who was torturing my other much older dog. Winston came home as an obedient well-trained, happy dog who comes when he is called, sits, heels, goes to his place, and has stopped all of his negative behavior. Of particular note were the home visits when Winston came home to show what he was learning and to integrate me and my other much older dog in the training process. Katie, who was Winstons trainer, was simply exceptional, super responsive to my questions, and incredibly professional. Katie really got to know my dog, and knew how to work with him in a way that was productive, supportive, and boosted his confidence while still being firm. The videos and photos of his progress were so helpful in making me feel comfortable while he was away. The facility itself is very clean, orderly, professionally managed and well maintained. When Winston was running low on food or medications, the very helpful staff at the front desk let me know so I had time to get more. I cant say enough about how great Maximum K9 is, and if you are thinking about getting your dog trained, I would call them immediately.

Our Renzo (3 year old Rottie ) just finished a 4 week board and train with Katie . Katie was just amazing with Renzo . . Renzo def was stand-offish and on guard but Katie was able to have him trust her. Which is huge . Katie worked on Renzos reactive behavior towards people bikes ( fast movements) . It was amazing to see him not react to certain things that triggered him before . Walks became a challenge between him pulling and reacting . I couldn’t believe when we did our 1 hour demo during his stay that he walked next to us in a heel and what a pleasure it is going to be to walk him from now on . Katie covered all bases with us down to crate training which Renzo was afraid of the crate at first and now goes in with out a problem . The crate will just make having people over more manageable for us and Renzo . I can’t say enough great things about the staff and trainer Katie . Katie is a pleather of information and explains every part of the training fully . My Renzo is well mannered now and still has his doofy personality. Absolutely recommend maximum K9 .

Just finished the 9 week obedience course for our 1 yr old German Shepherd. Completely changed dog! In just 9 weeks the turnaround was amazing. We had Jim who was absolutely outstanding! Highly recommend Maximum Canine!

Such a fantastic experience!! Brought my almost 3 year old Cane Corso to K9 Maximum for a 4 week board and train with Katie. Katie was super communicative and easy to work with. She was clear in her instructions and helped me create the best relationship possible with my dog.The difference in obedience is way more than what I could have expected and the amount of progress made in that short 4 weeks has improved the quality of life for both myself and my dog. I highly recommend K9 Maximum for ANYTHING dog related whether it be training, obedience, behavior modification, nutrition…ANYTHING. My dog got to experience all of this during his time there and we’re now getting started in weekly group classes which wouldn’t have been possible without Katie!! 10 out of 5 stars!!

Highly recommend maximum K9 service!! Five stars! My two male dogs were fighting and were not trained well due to growing up in covid. Sherry was an amazing trainer and after just a session or two our dogs were not fighting anymore and are so much better behaved. I can not thank them enough!! Grayson and fenix say thanks for all the lessons and cookies!! We will definite continue on and stop in for sessions to keep them fresh!!
