Bay Park Dog Park

Nice dog park with two sides. One side for small dogs and one side for big dogs. There are plenty of dog bowls to fill with water. There is also a hose. Sometimes people will bring a doggie pool and my dog loves it! The dog parents are usually really nice and friendly. Also, they always have poop bags available.

One of my favorite dog parks. Its a nice atmosphere on the water. There are usually plenty of dogs to play with. (Im on the big side) 99% of the people Ive met there are friendly and responsible dog owners.

Really enjoy going to this park. Love that its separated for big and small dogs. The East Rockaway Channel makes for a nice backdrop. Wish it had a few more benches to sit comfortably but you can always bring your own chair. they have water bowls and a hose to keep your dog hydrated or to help clean up any messes. If you forget your poop bags they have those too. The people are always friendly and my dog and I have made some nice friends there.

Very nice park. It is right by the water for a calming view. They had poop bags and water bowls. The big dogs are separated from the little ones. Very clean.

For a first time, my lil Jessie LOVED it! She had 2 boys playfully fighting over her! 😏😁😂🐶🐶💗💗😘 She loved meeting new friends too! ☺😊💗

Love love love this dog park for my 2 small dogs smaller then 20 lbs. They have great astro turf for them to fun on and run on. We have a house but no fence and sometimes you get tired always having them on a leash so its great have them run free.

Pleasant dog park, by the water. Clean, well fenced. They have separate sections for big/small dogs.

Nice park for the dogs and the people are friendly. It would be nice if everyone cleaned up after their dog. The park even provides bags to clean up after your dog does their business. The main entrance swing gate hasp needs to be replaced and a spring should be installed to keep that gate closed at all times. Otherwise, a nice place.

Bay Park is a little Oasis in Rockaway NY.On a nice day you can walk along a Pier and snap pics of the lake and boats.Its a small park (I didnt get a park feel) but there is also a playground equipped with one full basketball court.They host childrens Summer Camps.I didnt visit the dog park (phobia) but Beau-ti-ful views all around.The End.

Loved it!!!! So did my furry friend. He hada great time with other pooches. By far the best free-dog park to go to. Its divided based on smaller and larger breeds of dogs. Its clean and safe. Highly recommended.

Friendly place but quite busy. My dog likes it. Theres water and bags for your puppers. 2 parks, 1 for dogs larger the 30lbs, and 1 for smaller so people will smaller dogs can feel safe. Wish there were some more benches for us humans though.

Not bad at all. The dog park is divided into two parts. Big dogs to the left little dogs (Under 30lbs) to the right.the park is mostly artificial turf but does have a decent size dirt area (for pooches that like to go natural😉) tondontheir business. No major problems this time. The owners quickly respond to pooch disagreements with minimal fuss.

Its a nice and safe dog park. And the people are respectful of one another. There is a play pin for the big dogs and one for the littler dogs to interact with one another. But they could do better with the water fountain use to give the dogs water after running. The water fountain is very slow and the dogs get kind of impatient. they use AstroTurf that substitutes as grass that is unsanitary and smells really bad at times. Other than that, it makes for a nice dog park.

Nice dog park. Usually a good bunch of dogs and humans. There is both a small side and large side. Cleanliness is average. Large side drinking fountain has been broken for too long. No rush to fix things in a town park.

Great park in the area. Little shade which can be tough on a hot day. Nice spot to go for a walk on the water after the pup goes for a romp. Some dog owners are either too protective of their dogs or on their phones and paying no attention at all. No fault of the park but that seems to be a lot of the folks I ran into.

Not a fan of this park because of the artificial turf, which is brutally hot in the summer. Unless you go early, avoid it at all costs. The rest of the time it just seems dirty. Otherwise theres always a good pack of dogs to play with and there are very many incidents. My guy? He prefers to walk the perimeter, off leash, and seems to be taunting the other dogs...I can do this, I can do that... 🤣🐾

Love this dog park! Be careful if you have a big dog because there always seems to be fights on the big dog side. Thank goodness Im on the small dog side. Parking is a little iffy because of the lacrosse field right next to the park. My dog loves this place, recommend if you have a small dog. If you have a big one, just be careful and step up if your dog acts up.

Astro turf dog park... A little in need of repair but serviceable. Open from 8am-Sunset. This is nice dog park just off sunrise in East Rockaway. The only downside is 20% of dog owners dont pick up after their dogs leaving random drops around all time of the day. If your puppy is a poop eater steer clear till they are out of that phase.

I love taking my dogs to bay park. I wish they would come by every so often and try to clean the grass. It smells. They should also put a bag in the garbage pail, which also smells.

Very clean and well maintained dog park. There is a section for small dogs and another for large dogs. Each section has a water station and benches for the pet parents. The park is located by the bay so it can be a bit windy at times.

Great enclosed dog parks -- one for smaller breeds and one for larger breeds. Beautiful water view right alongside and a wonderful, cool breeze! Great place for both doggies and humans!

It was nice. Seemed clean for the most part. Nice views of the water for the humans. Its next to the football field so you can watch a game while the dog plays in the park.

Absolutely love this place. My 1 year old dog goes crazy if we dont bring him to play. Friendly crowd of people & dogs. Very well maintained. Dog water fountain is great too.

My Dog loveeess coming to this park. It is big, divided btw over 50lbs and under. Pet owners clean after their dog, so it is clean and well kept!

Great place to bring the dog for an hour or so. He plays I get to relax near the water. Theres usually a nice breeze there so not bad even on hot days. The owners are friendly and the dogs are too.

Great place. Its big and usually has tons of dogs. The water fountain only works some of the time in the big park. I have never had an issue with any of the dogs or owners there.

Love my doggie park. In the summer people set up a kiddie pool. The breeze is good, but there is almost no shade. Newly redone with astor turf. Nice people

Great place for all sizes of dogs. The only issue I have is there is a depression where the gravel meets the turf and theres usually a pool of water. Someone should fix that.

Comfortable space to bring your dog, the community is very nice. Theres a seperate area for small dogs and an area for bigger dogs. Plastic bags are available. Fun times.

Two areas, 1 for big dogs and 1 for small. Runing drinking water, dog bags, ropes and tennis balls provided. Around 100 square feet and mostly astroturf. Benches and some shade. Overall very nice.

Clean, easy to park, lots of toys and dogs and mostly responsible owners. Not much in the way of shade, and it isnt huge but it gets the job done. Dogs were happy.

I love this park!! My mom and I used to take our puppie toshi here, it’s so nice and clean. Great for long walks and the view of the pier

If your playing baseball on the turf.. the ball hops like its on steroids. Make sure you play deep in the of center field fence is 700 ft back past the football field. =]

Love the park. Bring my dogs there all the time. 4 stars because the biting flies at the picnic area is a real BIG problem. However the Dog park and the sports area is great.

Park was nice but people need to control their dogs better had one dog keep trying to hump my dog had to pry him off of her and owner just kept talking not paying attention to his dog.

Large artificial turf runs in a nice setting near the water. Well maintained. My pup loves it of course.

The park is 30 seconds from my home. I love to walk, jog or just simply stare out at the water. The park is clean and well kept

Went there to see some fireworks on 4th of July which was very nice.All in all a nice park.

Nice that its AstroTurf and big enough for my BeagleBull to run around in, but the water fountain is broken, there are no poop bags so be sure to bring your own.

Ordinarily great place for the dogs. Today I noticed several spots where dog owners did NOT pick up after their dogs.

Beautiful park right on the water. However Had to give 3 stars because its connected to a sewage plant and often smells horrible.

Quality of the park is depleting. Used to be clean and kempt.

I went there for the first time with my coon hound mix. My first impression was that it was nice, but upon further inspection and walking around there was dog poop everywhere, either not picked up or smeared into the turf. The water fountain didnt work either so Im glad I always travel with my own for my very active dog. Its a decent size, and very convenient, I just wish it was better kept.
