Westchester Puppies & Kittens completely sold me a sick Bengal kitten. When I asked for the breeder information they said “there wasn’t any”. This is as I am signing the papers and already in love with my kitten. My munchkin, Cinci even started sneezing on her way home from NY to NJ on March 11th. She was the calm one in the corner, so I thought she was adorable, but no she was sick. When we got home she had an Upper Respiratory Infection and then a fever. She needed IVs for nutrients and dehydration. She then got a UTI shortly after. A month or two later she had blood in her feces. I tried contacting Westchester puppies & Kittens via text and email and they completely “ghosted” me. I’ve had her for 7 months (11 months old now) and she just got out of Garden State Animal hospital after being there for 7 days. We brought her home Tuesday after two blood transfusions. The test results came back yesterday and she has FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis) which is a terminal disease. Westchester puppies must be heartless to do this. I am trying to give her the best life she could have for the time I have left with her. This feels so unfair and is absolutely heart breaking. 💔

I bought a wheaten terrier here approx 1 year ago. I absolutely love this dog! The staff was very nice and patient. I walked in thinking I wanted a lab / Shepherd and the owner saw how my kids reacted, and said I have just the dog for you she came back 2 minutes later with a tiny puppy I have had and loved for over a year. Very positive experience.

It’s a great pet store and had a wide selection of breeds of cats and dogs. The staff is very nice and are respectful to everyone. We are very happy with the kitten we picked up. She is beautiful and healthy.

I recently adopted an English bulldog and he is the best! He came home well-mannered, potty trained, and with new tricks. This store is the best!

Don’t go here unless you want a sick animal. They clearly don’t take care of their animals. We bought a pug puppy that had a cough day 1, by night 3 we had to take him to the vet hospital and he had an upper respiratory infection. After contacting the store I got very unprofessional texts back scrutinizing what the vet did and what they should have done. Hey, maybe just don’t sell sick puppies or actually take care of them. Or if an employee knows there’s a health issue, TELL US. I don’t care if it’s common or not I got lucky that my boy got better. I’m sure it wasn’t the same for other people.Oh also even though our contract states I’d get a full refund for any vet visits or care 14 days after purchase they only refunded me 200 out of a 900 bill. Only items that fall under NY state health warranty. I guess X-rays to figure out these issues which is the most expensive doesn’t meet the guidelines, go figure.

Unscrupulous liar. Told by the owner that they had several of the breed we wanted. We drove the whole family there the same day. When we arrived we were told they did not have any. The store employee made it clear that the owner often lies like this. Wouldnt trust her with the health of our pets. I have the texts of anyone wants.Very mature response below of pants on fire. No apology, no professionalism.

I went into Westchester Puppies and Kittens with the hope of finding a Pomeranian. I am fully aware of what pet stores could potentially sell, and have adopted dogs, and fostered dogs for years. I had nothing but an excellent experience at this facility. There were a lot of puppies there, and I counted 4 staff members that were cleaning and taking care of the puppies and kittens in there. I asked to spend time with several puppies and the woman that helped me was kind and honest with me about age, health, and price of the puppies. I left with the most perfect little angel and I could not be happier with my experience. I think you need to go into a puppy/kitten store knowing that there will be a lot going on, there aren’t many around anymore. This isn’t a private breeder where there are only a few puppies. They are exposed to a lot and I went in skeptical. I am so pleased with what I saw and experienced. Thank you for my perfect match! #suki_the_teacup_pom

Just recently purchased a blue fawn French bulldog from this establishment. Nothing negative to say at all! The gentleman who helped us was super helpful and nice (even gave us some feedback about moving to Manhattan!). Our little beans did have some parasite and a kennel cough but it’s totally normal in puppies and not the establishments fault. Nothing a quick dose of antibiotics can’t fix. Our puppy was bred to perfection as the vet said. Her hips, knees, joints are all perfect. We are in love with beans and will be back soon for another Frenchie!Update: We went back for a second! Couldn’t be any happier with our babies.

I purchased a rottweiler that has a birth defective. I brought it to there attention within the 6 month period per the purchase agreement. Its been 3 months and they are not taking care of anything and giving me the run around. This is the 3rd dogs I purchased from them and will be the last. I meet a couple of people that informed me they do not honor their warranty.

I purchased a husky with this store for a very Hefty price of 2985$ . We have trained this husky to walk on leash , pee and poop on a wee wee pad & outdoors but she has become very aggressive towards our little girl. I never leave them alone & she keeps lunging towards her growling , barking , and she has bite her once or continues to try to bite her under supervised interaction . My daughter plays nice and I just can not seem to grasp what the issue is she’s living a good life . I do not know if it is a breeding issue , this seems deep rooted & internal . This store has failed to do a return which is okay but even exchange for the hefty price paid . Do not buy big breaded dogs from this pet store idk if them being held in small cages or the breeders is the problem but there is one . We have been very diligent but can not continue to put our daughter in danger . The store has referred to my issue as nonsense and has said that people post nonsense on here all day which is a complete disregard to our concerns as paying costumers .

I am very happy with my bengal kitten mochi! She is 1 year and 2 months now! It was a great and smooth process when I came in 8 months ago. She has grown so much and has so much love

We are very happy with our beautiful little dachshund puppy! The staff was very helpful and all the paperwork that came with her was thoroughly explained. We highly recommend Westchester Puppies and Kittens.

This woman stole my money she took almost $3,000 from me and told me I was going to get a TEA CUP Pomeranian, and I got the dog 2 months ago and shes already 12 inches tall or more, and STILL GROWING!!. How is the dog a tea cup!! Im SO ANGRY and I really want people to know THEYRE FRAUDS and dont let them STEAL your money!! I saved for so long to buy my dog and I was lied to all the paperwork is a lie and the dog is not even the right breed, as shes growing you can tell shes not only a Pomeranian. Shes obviously mixed and I need to let you all know to not spend your money or believe these people I just need you guys to know the truth so that they cant do this to you!!!!

Today February 7, our little Max came home. We prayed for a Chihuahua, and God delivered. I can genuinely say how great the staff treated us we were never Rushed to buy. we spend quality time with max and couldnt leave home without him a cutie.Thank you guys so much just added a photo of max three years later what a blessing

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Although they may have a nice selection of animals all they want is your money and that’s it. Tried to buy a 3600 dollar dog but wouldn’t get approved for a payment plan although I was told they would offer me a plan over text, they said the only way was to pay in full on the spot, and they wouldn’t give me a reason as to why I’m not approved for a payment plan. I have a high credit score and can be approved to buy a 315000 dollar home but not a dog? Wasted time look for a pet somewhere else.

If I could give zero stars I would. They sell sick animals and do not even care. I got my cat here and he was diagnosed with FIP. He was very sick and in order to get better needed shots for 84 days straight. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!

Me and my boyfriend just adopted our baby on 6/4/23 and we are extremely satisfied with our experience. The employees were very friendly and helpful. We got to play/interact with multiple kittens for a bit until we decided which one we were taking home. The process was quick and they gave us a couple of starter items along with all the paperwork and information on our kitten. Definitely will recommend to anyone interested in expanding their family 🩷

I was looking to get a bengal cat and Westchester Puppies and Kittens came up during my search, I sent an email and got a response almost instantly. I drove about 3 1/2 hours to check out the available kittens and when I arrived the shop was very clean and had wonderful staff that helped me immediately. I was able to meet and play with a bunch of kittens all at once so I could get a feel for exactly what type of personality I wanted. After some time we discussed personality type/gender/price and there was a kitten that seemed perfect for me. I ended up adopting that cat (same day) and the process was extremely quick and easy, taking only about an hour. I was happy in the fact that they explained details such as diet, energy levels, vaccinations, etc so i knew exactly what I needed to know and then some. My bengal kitten has been in his new home for around 3 days and is VERY happy and healthy. He’s already napping on my lap/playing/eating and eager to explore the rest of my home. If you’re looking for a nice pet shop to adopt healthy animals that are treated with kindness and respect, this is a perfect place to go! I’m extremely happy with my experience and highly recommend this business to anyone interested!

Dont waste your time coming here. I was offered a payment plan over text for a $3000 dog. I go to look at the dog and they tell me i dont qualify for a payment plan although i have a high credit score. It doesnt make sense because i am approved to buy a $300,000 home but not a $3000 dog. The only option given to me was to pay full price on the spot. Dont fall for the scam and dont come here. Look for a pet somewhere else where they will take your buisness serious.

Scammers. sold me a kitten for over 3K claiming it to be a purebred Russian Blue. My kitten is 8 months old, and doesn’t have the green eyes, the distinct eye color of a Russian blue. Obviously they never mailed me his pedigree either, contrary to what they promised. Oh, btw, the cute pictures of Russian blue kittens on their website are not their inventory, those pictures are just a bait and switch.

This place is very unprofessionalThey had a puppy that we wanted and they sold which is ok. After I told them we are not interested in any other puppy see the picture to see their response. They are acting like they are the only ones that have and had that dog. It’s actually very frustrating when you find the right pup you want and someone gets it before you no need for these u professionals to say “lol good luck finding another same dog”. This place had a lawsuit against them so there’s something definitely shady about this place

My husband got me this precious boy from here last Christmas and it was the best decision ever! He is the sweetest boy! My kids and other dog love him so much! The owner did right by us with everything and did not overcharge for him at all! They are great people that know their dogs well and only want great homes foe them! My pup just turned 1, and i was happy to share an update and give credit where its due! Thanks Westchester pups!

Just purchased my puppy from them and they take their health serious and my pup wasnt feeling well and the owner of the pet store had an employee wait after closing to bring my puppy in who immediately brought him to a animal hospital where he doing much better and they keep you updated and they really do sell healthy dogs. My puppy just had a common virus puppies can get and I have no regrets purchasing from here and will come back. Thanks Westchester Puppies and Kittens!2/17/2020. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel I recommend getting from their breeder.Update 12/20My dog is thriving and is extremely healthy and honestly the best purchase I have ever made.Update 1/8/2021Its been officially one year since I bought my pup and hes the best investment Ive ever made and has the most amazing temperament.Fact is we live in New York and if you want a pure bread puppy, you go to a pet store. This isnt the middle of Missouri where you can walk into a breeders property and pick out your pup. So I think that people need to give this store more credit because my pup got sick and it happens whether its from a breeder or not because same dog but bought from a breeder, my sister had her cavalier get sick too. It happens. But they took care of my puppy right away and its because they do have a cellphone because they answer all hours of the night like a doctor on call. He was given the best care and his bill once he was being discharged from this amazing pet hospital, was so large and exceeded the cost of my dog and they covered almost the entire thing. I had to pay something like 40 bucks for a test I was gonna have to pay for anyway once I brought to my vet for a checkup but they did all of that there. So before you complain about a cellphone they answer on, imagine how lucky you are that they practically have an on-call doctor all the time which is peace of mind and they answered when I needed them late at night. So thanks again for your great service and I said Id come back for a second dog once I had him for a year so see you and your great staff soon! They have a nice selection but be weary of purchasing a bengal kitten as they tell kitten is younger then it is. As well they do not have rosette Bengals, only single spotted ones which are less pricey but they over price them as if they are the rosette ones.

Not good experience at all. we were greeted then showed to where the lil pups where held one fell in love to find out I couldnt adopt because I didnt requirement. But Im happy w my two babies. Sometimes people rate foke how their incomes comes from. Some may meet their requirements look promising yet turn around and abuse those dogs, puppies,cats.

I purchased a 10 week old Husky from here and I absolutely fell in love with him. Took him to my vet just for a wellness check and he’s all around healthy (minus kennel cough that we are treating). I’ve seen reviews from the past from this place before buying but I gave them a chance, not sure what happened in the past with them but I have never had them be negative in person or through email with me. I emailed first about questions on a kitten they had and they responded immediately and were super nice but when I went I obviously went home with a puppy. Even my experience being in the store was super positive and the gentleman taking care of all my questions and showing me the dogs/cats was attentive.

When my boyfriend arrived, he said the staff was very pleasant, and extremely helpful. Although, I’m very disappointed that he was sold a sick cat. When I first realized my cat, Syrus, was sneezing, a few days after getting her, I took her to the vet associated with Westchester puppies & kittens. I was told, “she’s probably getting over a respiratory infection, it will go away. She will be fine.” Here I am almost two years later, having spent well over $4,000 in vet bills, and she’s still sick. Syrus develops secondary bacterial infections due to her contracting Calicivirus (which I was informed by the vet that she will now have this for the rest of her life which causes her to be immunocompromised) while in the care of Westcher puppies and kittens. I’m writing this review almost two years later because I’ve tried every vet, nebulizer treatments, antibiotics, etc, and my cat is still suffering. It’s not about the money, but the fact that Syrus will never live a comfortable life due to her illness. I have to suction her nose numerous times a day just so she can breathe comfortably. I hope that this place will take better care of the animals and vaccinate them appropriately so no other animals have to suffer.Based off of reading the company’s responses to other unhappy customers, I’m sure they will have something negative to say about this review - how unprofessional. But again, it’s not about the money, but about the quality of life for these animals.As you can see in the picture of Syrus below, she has a lot of nasal discharge. It’s unfortunate.

These people are frauds. They sold me a dog that was not the breed promised, not even close. As a puppy, the dog looked like the breed as stated at time of purchase, but as a grown dog, my vet stated it is not the breed I thought I bought. The owners of this pet store are liars - they also sell sick dogs. The people that own and run this store should be criminally prosecuted for financial fraud. Avoid these criminals and go elsewhere for your pet! How can they still be in business?! Shocking. You have been warned. KEEP AWAY!

The store was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive. So far the kitten we purchased is happy and healthy! My only complaint is that I had reached out about a specific breed of kitten, only to find out when I arrived that they did not have any. I drove a long distance to go there specifically because they said (via email) that they had the breed in stock. If you live far away and want a specific breed use caution, but if youre flexible or live close and can make multiple trips its worth a try!

Ill assume its much easier to post a review when its negative than when its positive which would explain the inconsistencies of these reviews. We just purchased our Russian Blue Kitten on Saturday and I can tell you the staff was extremely helpful and patient. Robert took the time to explain the breed and comparison to other breeds and was very upfront about the price of the animal. Even disclosing the name of the breeder. The prices are high but when you consider the cleaning, the cost of the building and the staff...this is a 24/7 operation so you pay a premium. They never said their prices were the best, only that the animals come from choice hobby breeders and are guaranteed healthy. Our Kitten had one slight medical issue which they treated immediately the following day. Regardless we will purchase again from them in the future and I recommend to anyone concerned about the prices to do some research. I did and was willing to pay the premium because I found out how difficult (15-24 month wait) it was to get a Russian Blue Kitten under 4-5 months.

Sorry it has taken me this long to write a review! After the passing of our 20 year old doll faced Persian we were looking for another cat to fill the pain we were going through, I searched the internet everyday to find the right cat and found Westchester Puppies and Kittens, there assortment of beautiful dogs and cats is amazing and the service is outstanding! Thank God we went because we purchased the most beautiful grey exotic shorthair she is happy, healthy, lovable and full of energy Willow has brought tremendous happiness back to our lives, Thank You to everyone at Westchester Puppies and Kittens

Found a 4 mo old puppy I fell in love with. All fur babies were well cared for. My pup came from a breeder in Idaho and has papers. So happy with my new addition and the people were great. I tried to find this breed locally to no avail. Breeders wanted 3 to 4 times what this one cost. Extremely happy with the transaction and was well worth the 2 1/2 hr ride.

We found our mini poodle Maizy here during the shutdown 2020. She has been the joy of our whole family! She was a trouble maker early on but the biggest cuddler and just plain adorable! She was worth every penny! We may give a call to see if they got or are expecting another litter from the same line🥰. I wonder if we can be kept in the loup. Many thanks for our special dog!

Staff are very friendly. Wide selection of puppies and kittens. Walked in there for 1 dog and left out with 2. Beautiful service, clean, you get time with the puppies or kitten of your choice before you purchase. No pressure to buy. Great experience definitely would recommend.

Yeah no, i was going to buy a puppy from here but the replies from the owner definitely changed my mind. maybe try to be more professional because this is embarrassing and actually crazy. unprofessional people dont buy puppies the owner is crazy!!

In 2021 I purchased a”long-haired”dachshund for $4000 plus tax. She is a wonderful dog but people and groomers kept telling me that she was a mixed breed. So I had a DNA test done. It came back that she is 72% dachshund and a combination of 3 other breeds. I contacted the owner and she insisted that my dog was a pure breed. She wouldn’t believe the DNA test. Even my vet and the medical insurance company believed the test. The owner got nasty and would not communicate with me. So if you want a pure breed I suggest you go to a breeder.

Bought my bengal 2/19!! He’s so happy and so healthy! My only regret is not buying his brother along with him! Weschester puppies and kittens is a great place for families in the market for a new furry member to join them!

Great place to get your next pet a little pricey but great selection great vet care. Can negotiate price a few hundred dollars no scams like on the internet. We got a minn pinn thats a great dog house trained in 2 week he a great little dog would definitely do it again.

Purchased my bengal cat from here today and my experience was wonderful. I saw him on Wednesday Roberto was wonderful gave me the cats number and I returned today to get him and Shama was a doll she address every concern I had explained all the paperwork thoroughly and my baby is just wonderful. thank you for everything and your tremendous patience with me in making this decision. I would recommend them anytime to anyone.

Showed me a picture of a litter of birmans and said they had plenty starting at 750.I make the drive there to pick it up the day after and they say they no longer have any and her excuse was that the picture was from a future shipment and they will be arriving tomorrow. I say Ill come back tomorrow and she says well we dont really know what we get from our shipment. Okkkay. So they lied to get me to the store. Since we made the drive and my wife was obsessed over other cats we ended up getting a siamese mix birman 5 month kitty for 1300 dollars. Also dont expect them to pick up the phone either. They manipulate you through text to get you into the store and sell you through whatever they have there. Their dogs are adorable but expect to pay over 2000.The picture below shows the lie they sent me. They were not there. All lies.

My mom bought a male toy Pomeranian from this place, only to discover that he is infected with a parasite and also possibly has kennel cough. This place does not take care of their animals. Not only that, but the puppy has now posed a risk to our older dog, all because this so called pet store can’t bother to keep their animals in proper health, as they are required. This is absolutely appalling and all who work there should be ashamed of themselves. Animals are living beings, not products! How dare you take advantage and mistreat them. I’m only happy we were able to save at least one dog from that place and get him the care he needs, albeit at an expensive price.Edit: Way to be unprofessional and rude with your reply, as always. If anyone sounds foolish it’s definitely you, the business that sounds like it let’s a child write angry responses to its reviews 😂

*update*Those advising not to listen to reviews such as mine are either lucky customers or associated with the business. This place is being INVESTIGATED by authorities. Enough said.I second the puppy mill comment. Was recently involved in the purchase of an amazingly expensive puppy from here. Long story short, the poor girl came with severe pneumonia, fleas and giardia. Basically 3 days from death said the vet. When we complained, they sent us out to Long Island to their vet (who is $ motivated by this mill) and even they said this poor pup was about to die. 5 days of intravenous antibiotics, 3 weeks of oral antibiotics, 2 weeks of supplements and giardia medications and she is still very lethargic. We hope she recovers soon, but despite the WP&K footing the bill, we will NEVER recommend this puppy mill front ever again. Avoid at all costs.P.S. We filed for a Department of Agriculture and Markets investigation

I purchased a sweet one year old Burmese cat I named Bliss from this place some years back (2015). Bliss lived to be 5 years old and struggled with various health issues her whole short life. I was able to get my money back but that would never make up for the heartbreak of watching a sweet cat that I grew so close to die in my arms. I can say that I am grateful that she came home with me, she was the most perfect and precious companion.

This place is deceitful. I was texting back and forth with a representative about 2 particular dogs. They confirmed they were still available and were $1,000 to $1,600 in price. It only took me 30 minutes to get there and miraculously they were gone. The lovely lady in the store informed me that those 2 particular puppies were sold 2 weeks prior. They still had another males of that breed so I asked to see him. He was beautiful and perfect. I was set to purchase him until I was told the dog was $4,500.Beware of this place they practice deceitful tactics to get you in the door and then bang you over the head. I will never recommend your business to anyone.

Horrible, horrible awful place they sell sick puppies and kittens. Basement is full of caged animals. They miss treat them they sell them and they lie about them being sick. Had the department of agriculture. Try to go out there and revoke their license. I’m glad we all work together. These poor babies shut down puppy mills.!!!!!!

The place have a wide variety of kittens and puppies, Robert was extremely pleasant and helpful. Their prices are above average but they do offer finance.

We bought a Scottish Terrier puppy who is healthy, happy and a character.Our experience with Westchester was a positive one. The qualify and professionalism of the service made our transition comfortable and seemless.

Before you go here, please know what you’re getting yourself into. I purchased a puppy and came to find out he was really sick when I took to the vet. When you call this place they tell you to text instead. I tried explaining that they sold me a sick pup and they stated to email all the medical expenses, they would reimburse me. Doctor even signed an unfit for purchase with a total of all expenses. First they told me that corporate is refunding me the purchase price and then even after asking them if by check or original form of payment and replied back, they say they wouldn’t refund me. After 3 weeks of back and forth I get a check of a fraction of what the bills were. They didnt pay their end of the deal and I’m out of pocket more than I thought I’d be. Again, think carefully before considering this place and my heart goes out to those sick animals there.

I went here last week as I am looking to adopt a new kitten. Overall, it seems like a really poor kept space, and the staff completely ignored me. Now I can tell this is reflected in the reviews. The owner being defensive toward every negative review tells a lot…there’s a reason there’s only a 2.9 rating out of 5. The owner should really take more pride in what they do. As for their response to this, you’ll see the unnecessary rudeness I’m sure.

Texted with owner about a Rottweiler puppy we were interested in and she replied that store has 4 of them and the price was above $1000. Drove an hour and a half and when we got there they told us it’s only 2 available , and the puppy didn’t even look like the breed they were claiming it to be. To skinny and to aggressive for the 2 month puppy. Very dissatisfied. Don’t waste your time for the driving . The price for puppies overprice with how they look . We got one month ago Our puppy with different store and she was 3 sizes bigger and she is perfect but this puppies look very poor. This is scam !

Final update: it is now March 11th 2024 and we still do not have pedigree papers for our kitten. They have been ignoring my texts and emails but when I text from a new number about purchasing an animal they respond immediately. At this point we are positive that we were scammed and we paid over 3K for a cat that is not pure bred.Update: The kitten has been at the emergency vet since 2/14 and had multiple parasites including toxoplasmosis which can affect humans! We have to all get bloodwork to check if we have parasites as well. The kitten was deemed “Unfit for purchase” by two different vets. This place does not sell healthy pets.Do not purchase an animal from this store. On February 4th I went to purchase a kitten from Westchester Puppies and Kittens. The place was crowded and smelled but we figured that’s to be expected. The staff was kind but seemed overwhelmed. We signed a paper that said we would take her to the vet within a few days. My vet asked for the name of the previous vet who cared for her while she was at this establishment. When I reached out and asked I was given a strange response. They curtly said “we gave you her vaccination records. There are no medical records as medical records would only be written if there was some sort of a health concern”. Uhh I just asked for the name of the vet, why so sketchy?When we decided to buy the kitten we signed a paper that said she may have parasites, we saw she had been dewormed before but we figured that is standard procedure. Wrong. We were sold a kitten who had three different types of parasites. The second we got home she declined rapidly, having to go to the emergency vet for fluids. I have reached out to the owner multiple times to receive her “pedigree papers” that prove where she came from. They said it could take up to 120 days!When I asked about her breeder and where she was before she came to this pet store I was given the run around. They will not provide me with the breeders USDA license number so that I can check to see if she even came from a legitimate breeder. The responses I’ve gotten via text from the owner have been unprofessional and excessively shady. It was my mistake to try to buy a kitten from a pet store. Don’t be like me. Go to a trusted and reputable breeder and do your research. We wanted a cat so bad we ignored obvious signs that Westchester Puppies and Kitties was a bad place and not taking care of their animals. This place is not a healthy or safe place to get your pet.

If I could I would give this place no stars. I called and specifically asked for a MALE maltipoo. I went there the same day and they showed me three different dogs. One of them looked very unkept and was no where near a maltipoo, it looked like a underfed yorkie. I finally fell in love with a dog which they told me was a male. I signed all the papers and all of them said MALE on it, come to find out my dog was a female and they lied to me. They told me to return the dog but I refused because I was already attached and it was their mistake. I simply told them to just pay for my dogs spaying which of course they didnt do, but not only that but they tried to blame me for not knowing the dog was a female! my dog was 3 pound when I got her I had no idea what dog genitals looked like that small ! this place needs to be shut down and not to mention my dog was very ill when I got her and had kennel cough that they let go for so long that it turned into pneumonia. Im not the first person to get a sick dog from this place.

So on February 20 I went to puppies and kittens texting and emailing back and forth I decided this is where I wanted to get my kitten from She has been to 2 appointments in different clinics and Doctors cannot find her microchip I texted these kind people I have been texting since day one and explained to them They Were No Longer AS Noce As They Were When I Was on my way to buy the kitten they lied to me about her being microchipped and said they would microchip her again for another fee . now i’m wondering is her birthday information even Accurate what else did they lie about ? we love her dearly I probably saved her life from taking her home because these people were only nice and professional when it’s to their convenience. their response text was rude and unprofessional

My daughter bought a female Maltese puppy of 3 months. Shes the cutest puppy ever. We thought the staff was very professional and so helpful. They look like they care about their little animals and getting them good homes. I recommend this place.

This is a pt to my first review. Again as an owner of a business I think you need to brush up or take a course in how to actually run a business and deal with criticism instead of being nasty and defensive back with just validates everything people are saying about your business and how you treat these poor animals. How about instead of lashing back I don’t know you actually fix and change these appalling conditions and problems, because that would be the intelligent thing to do. Since you want to say, “ if our business is so despicable but you’ve been in many times maybe you should do something better than acting foolish” how is me speaking facts being foolish? You know what’s foolish your weak response thinking you clapped back and did something, but have yet to acknowledge anything else that was said because you know your business is a scam and your basically killing these poor animals by not taking care of them and selling people sick animals. People I know who have unfortunately purchased these sick pets from you and have actually passed away shortly after but at least that animal got to know proper care and love for some of its short life. If you just know I have come in many times to see these animals and give them love and attention and time out of their cages and see if you guys have changed at all and you haven’t. Maybe take the time you take into responding like a toddler having a temper tantrum from being called out on the truth and facts and put that energy into taking care of the animals that are unfortunately in your care. They are living breathing beings not just $$. DO NOT PURCHASE ANIMALS FROM HERE UNLESS YOURE DOING IT TO SAVE THEM FROM THE HORRID CONDITIONS THESE “BUSINESS OWNERS” KEEP THEM IN, and don’t forget there still slightly older animals in the back they don’t show you. I can only imagine what happens to them as they get “too old”. Also had to attach a photo of how these people respond to truthful reviews I bet they wouldn’t keep that same energy in your face. They are lucky they can hide behind a phone or computer to run their mouth.

I asked to see a cat I was looking to adopt, and when I asked the worker told me she didn’t speak english, so she couldn’t help me. Was completely ignored by other workers, and the place is not well kept. Very sad to see how all the pets are crying for attention. So sad. Environment is not safe for any animal; hot thick air, very little space. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Would never recommend! Not to mention the way the owner replies to reviews. Your defensiveness is very telling! Incredibly unprofessional.

Overpriced, Dirty, bugs everywhere. They don’t clean the pets unless they are getting ready to show them to someone. Then they do a quick wipe down. One female golden had urine burns on her legs. I brought it to their attention and the threatened to call the police. All they care about is a sale, not the animals they have in their care. They also lie about age of pups. I worked as a tech and know aging of babies pretty well. I was told a male golden I looked at was 12 weeks old, and he was no more than 6 weeks as per the look of him. When they told me his birthday it confirmed my suspicion that he was younger as they insisted it was 12 weeks/3 months but given the date of birth he was barely 7 weeks. Do not buy anything from this place. Even the beds are overpriced.

I purchased my male Frenchie from WCPK 10 years ago and he is still moving around like he was 2 years old 🤣 and was the best thing that happened for me. As soon as I walked in he was barking at me and my daughter like all the others in there but he was special. He was very active in his kennel. I looked at 2 others that were very timmid and werent active at all, so I took him out the kennel and he was excited. He had a little hematoma on the left year that was removed so his ear looked different, but nothing major and he was 4 months old. I didnt want to make my decision off the first location I visited so I walked out and it hurt me to hear him barking like that and him feeling like no one wanted him, so I walked right back in and left a deposit for him and picked him up a week and half later. Best decision I made. He is the son Im never going to have. My emotional support, road dog that shows me unconditional love always, so thank you WCPK for bringing STITCH into my life.

I had a great experience with purchasing my pup. This place is organized and clean. I was really happy to see how they are following proper protocol during these tough times, can’t be easy for business but I appreciate their professionalism when it came to the health of their potential clients.We went in not really knowing if we were going to purchase or not, just wanted to see if my daughter liked any pup they had available. We saw the cutest Mini Dachshund and we fell in love right away. The pricing for the pup was expected, which is why I don’t understand all the negative reviews regarding pricing.I’ve checked out lots of places and the price for these and similar pups are the same if not more. I’d say if you can’t afford it then definitely look into adoption.We were not rushed at all, we were able to spend a good 45 min with the pup before we decided to move forward with the purchase. We finally decided we wanted him.Sweet little boy had a bit of a cough and we went to the vet that they recommended and we were taken care of right away. The did honor the vet bill which was generous of them. Overall great experience!!I would like to thank the 2 staff working that day (I wish I had remembered to ask their names) they were very kind and patient with us.

From this day on, my family will purchase a pet from this establishment ONLY...just because of the God-Like response to some of you #DISHRAGS with your 1 star reviews.

These poor things just need to hang in there one more year...edit2: at least my ugly face isnt being shut down. reporting this place as theyre still operating, illegallySuper depressing. The cages are so small and some have two puppies in them. We werent allowed to handle or even pet them, just look from a distance because theyre not vaccinated. Maybe they shouldnt be publicly displayed then... They get all riled up when you walk in so its heartbreaking to watch them beg for attention when you cant give any. Manager was rude. Stay away from puppy mills, go to your local shelter!

I got my shih tzu puppy on Monday. She is adorable by all means but we were lied to. They said they had two left the other one was sold one was $2400 and the other one was $1500.00. When we went to get him not only it turned out to be a female dog and they told me they were giving me the $2400.00 one but after coming home i realized they gave me the $1500. They lie to get you there and deceive you. This is bad business!!!!

They said that they had puppies for 1200 and when I got there they only had puppies starting at 3500 wasnt a total waste I got to spend time with my oldest daughter

Everyone knows the majority of these animals are sick or have some sort of heath issues. I’ve been in there many many times and literally watched a puppy eat very old poop that was in its cage. Not to mention they only keep the puppies and kitties up front but have 1-2 year old + animals in the back that you wouldn’t know about if you didn’t ask. It’s sick I would only ever purchase an animal from here to save it from this mill. And y’all aren’t not slick with trying to get rid of people’s honest reviews like these or responding back in a nasty way. My 4 year old niece has more decorum in responding to people than these “business” owners do. When you respond to reviews with attitude or saying things like “nice try, try again buddy” just shows how defensive you get over the realistic and honest reviews people are leaving, but hey nice try in trying to think that people are stupid and can’t see right through the deception. Hope y’all have the kind of day y’all deserve and I will pray for those animals lives.

This place is not bad and has a nice choice of dogs & cats. They can be pricey depending on what size dog you want. But they are healthy and up-to-date on vaccines. There is no parking at this location but there are meters about 100 ft before you get to the location. Can get crowded and only 1 person to give you info on the animal. But the Yorkie I bought is absolutely adorable.

I RECENTLY GOT A PUPPY FROM WESTCHESTER PUPPYS I BRING HER HOME AND NOTICE THAT SHE ISNT RESPONDING TO ANYTHING I BRING HER TO THE VET AND TURNS OUT SHE IS DEAF AND PARTIUALLY BLIND AND HAS PHENOMENA. I DONT REALLY KNOW HOW THEY DIDNT CATCH THIS WHILE SHE WAS THERE. IT WAS CAUSED BY A GENITIC DEFECT FROM BAD BREEDING AND THEY COVERED THE VET BILLS AND SAID THEY WOULD GIVE A FULL REFUND. I DONT THINK THIS PLACE IS A GOOD PLACE TO GET ANIMALS FROM.

Me and my husband drove 3.5 hours each way to buy a himilayan kitten. When we arrived at the store after an hour we fell in love with Simona she is a full breed long hair Scottish fold we never heard of her before Shama the sales person was so wonderful we cant say enough about her. She was friendly quik and full of information. I had a problem with my bank card and she was patient and informed this was normal she was correct after speaking with my bank everything was authorized and smooth. We wouldnt trade this fur ball in for nothing. The staff and managment were absolutely perfect in every aspect. Great experience.. thanks shama and yes her name is staying Simona.. We purchased a kitten from here. Yes, we also thought the price was astronomical. We wouldn’t do it again for the price. However, our baby is beautiful & healthy. We want another but will not pay that kind of price again.

I only gave this place one star because I had to go write this review. This place has absolutely horrible customer service. They don’t even pick up their heads up when you walk in. No worker in this establishment was helpful or friendly. My sisters and I came to look for puppies because our family is interested in purchasing one. We did not intend to buy one today but we planned on showing our parents and coming back with them to actually purchase. A very rude associate told us that it was not play time and that we had to leave if we were not “ACTUALLY” purchasing a puppy. I was extremely shocked because I have never seen a store tell their customers to leave especially in such a rude and demeaning way. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone looking for a puppy especially if you don’t buy the puppy on the first visit which I know many people do not do!! I could not believe how we were treated by this staff and I hope no other customers receive this treatment. Take your business elsewhere.

I got a Pomeranian puppy here in May, during the pandemic. All workers were friendly and professional. The store was super busy-you had to wait in your car until it was your turn to come in. They gave you the time needed to find your pup and were courteous throughout the entire process. I found the store to be very clean and the animals were properly cared for. The Pomeranian we brought home is beautiful, smart and healthy. I couldnt have asked for a better experience or pup. Yes, we paid a high price but you get what you pay for, the quality of our pup is top notch! I cant figure out why anyone would have a bad thing to say about this place, even communication before and after my purchase was excellent! I highly recommend Westchester Puppies!

My hat is off to this lady, she actually has the nerve to tell EVERY single one of these REVIEW KARENS exactly what every retail in America wants to tell them and are scared to do so. Omg when I went to purchase my puppy I never saw those horrible reviews I would have never went here, Im trying to reach them for days all they have is a texting number and Im trying so hard to talk to someone about the puppy I just purchased (everyone told me they overcharged me) but anyway there is a reason why you guys have so many bad reviews, customer service should be number 1 remember that. Pay attention to people who text you and call them back its actually important.

I got my precious cat here :) the place was very nice, but there were some inconsistencies. The guy helping us told us that she was spayed, healthy, and about 3 months old. We went to the front desk to purchase her and found out she was 6 months old and not spayed. That’s not that big of a problem, but as soon as we brought her home we realized she was sick with an upper respiratory infection and pink eye. Our vet said she had to have contracted it from another cat there. We had to buy her antibiotics and take care of her. My problem with this is we don’t know they had her while she was sick. If not treated quickly, these infections can become very serious. There was no mention of her being sick or any medicine to give her. This is obviously concerning, because this either means they werent treating their sick cats, or they didn’t know they were sick (which was obvious). I love my cat, I just hope all of the animals there are being treated nicely.

I was interested in a puppy. I emailed , called and text with them. Confirming they had the one I wanted. The next day I drove 137 miles / 32.60 tolls and 3hours each way. We get there they didn’t have the one we wanted. Sold him two days ago before I called. Lairs. wasted our time. Don’t trust them. Owner - the puppy was sold two days before I called and confirmed - your review come back lies. I don’t lie I’m honest person. I did call the night before said the puppy was there.

Their animals are sick, and sold sick. Dont shop, adopt. Stop giving these people money to keep mistreating animals.

My girlfriend adopted a puppy from this place 4 days ago. I drove her to the store. The service at the facility was great and the kennels were very clean and well kept. We decided on a puppy and she was asked to fill out paperwork & to provide her drivers license. The puppy was $3200 and my girlfriend asked to finance the adoption with a down payment. They said she could, but then asked if I could fill out paperwork and for my drivers license as a backup in case her payment plan didn’t get approved. The guy took both of our paperwork/drivers licenses to the back and came back 5 minutes later saying that I was approved. He’d run my credit approval and never checked my girlfriend’s even though 1) this is not my puppy it’s hers and we made it clear that I’d just be a backup even though she has a credit score well over 700 and 2) we told him to check hers first, and to only use mine as a backup. It dropped my credit score about 10 points which isn’t the biggest deal, but now the puppy is under my name when it isn’t my dog. After everything had been approved the guy came back with her puppy bathed and the financing approved for $119.06 a month for 36 months...he never mentioned that the financing would be marked up that much. If we knew that was the case we would have payed the price up front but thought it would lighten the financial load to spread the payments out. Between the interest and the $1000 downpayment that’s $5300 when we were told $3200. The money automatically comes out of MY account when it isn’t MY dog. On top of that, he rushed us out because the shop was supposed to be closed by then and never gave me back my drivers license. Now I have a dog registered under my name that isn’t mine, a marked up payment plan that was never mentioned, and they haven’t returned my calls about recovering my drivers license. Horrible experience...but the puppy is adorable and my girlfriend is happy that we have her. I’m not sure why some reviews say that the place is dirty, it was very clean and well kept, and the puppy was bathed before we left with her but like many other reviews here, I don’t appreciate dishonesty and shadiness when money is involved.

I havent been to the Hartsdale location yet, but they have been nothing but lovely to me. Answering all questions and such with patience. We are glad that it is a breeder that wants people to meet the pups in person and purchase in person!

Went to purchase a puppy. Not sure why they got any bad reviews. They were crazy busy and yes sometimes you had to wait for help but you got it as soon as they could. Facility was clean and they also kept it clean (there was one staff member dedicated to cleaning puppy crates as well as visiting cubicles).We found our beautiful furry friend. But as puppies are frail especially our little toy puppy , she was sick. They immediately helped us by taking her back and sending her for care. They responded to every concerned text message we had and called and spoke with us when we requested, even until late in the evening! Our luck our little friend needed long term care in the hospital and so they refunded us the full purchase price plus the vet fee!Special thanks to Deborah who was helping us on their text line! She was so helpful and thoughtful!

Bought a puppy who started having major breathing difficulties hours after we brought him home, turns out they sold us a puppy with pneumonia. Poor guy had to stay in an emergency vet place for 5 days and had numerous follow up visits which delayed his vaccine schedule so meant we were stuck inside buying puppy pads for way longer than needed.Despite his paperwork also saying his wasn’t neutered, two different employees verbally confirmed to us that he was neutered.Based on the other reviews I’ve read on here the guy owning this place seems super unprofessional in his responses so can’t wait to see the rude comment his leaves for me here ❤️Would 100% recommend buying a puppy anywhere else but here.

I came here this afternoon and these 1 star reviews are accurate!! If I could give no stars I would. The prices are extremely unreasonable and each cat is a different price. The owner was rude and became agitated as I debated and considered three different kittens. Terrible customer service. I just wanted to get a kitten and leave. I was able to get a kitten and take her to the vet same day and she has worms and on top of that has ringworm (which is highly contagious to animals and humans!!). They do not care about the health and safety of these animals!!! These animals are sick and this facility should be reported!!!

My mom has been searching for a Rottweiler puppy for months. She found this place and after calling with no response was finally texting with someone. They refused to give her the actual price of the dogs and said they start at $1,500 and they had multiple choices. She was told to get more information she needed to come see the dogs. After driving 2 and a half hours there, it smelt bad, it was insanely loud and there was one dog available. We got into the room to play with her and bond when we said we wanted her they finally told us she was $4,800. They don’t tell you about the sales taxes on the dogs which brought it to $5,200 which is absolutely insane for a puppy. It took over an hour to go through the process of them trying to approve us to even get this dog. They seemed short staffed and didn’t check on us often. If we had known they were over priced and had no choices we would have never waisted our time going up there. In general the customer service wasn’t all that great. I would never go back here again. If they had been honest and upfront on their prices from the start we wouldn’t have been so upset.

My partner and I had been in search for a corgi puppy after losing our family dog a few months back. I personally had never purchased a dog before so I was nervous of the process. In March we called and texted WP&K to see if they had any corgi puppies available and they gave us a quick response about their available puppies. We went to see them the next day and absolutely fell in love with one of their corgi puppies. The staff was kind and professional and gave us the time we needed to get to know our puppy and make a decision if we were or weren’t going to take the puppy. We decided we were and the staff made the process easy. Since our puppy had a little cold she needed to stay a week and a half in the store to finish her medication and for one more final vet visit to make sure she was healthy and good to go.Since this was at the height of covid the employees were taking precautions and keeping a low number of people in which was greatly appreciated. We were able to visit our puppy and spend time with her for as long as we wanted with the safety precautions of course!After a week or so We finally got to take our puppy home and she is in great health and now 10 months. She is such a wonderful, spunky soul and I can’t thank the staff at WP&K for making the purchase of my puppy so swift and easy.

I heard of westchester puppies from a friend. I purchased two pups last year, my babies are beautiful and very cute. I had a great experience. And yes the prices are high, but I still had to CHOICE to purchase or NOT there was no pressure. I wanted one pup and purchased two. I have recommended friends to westchester puppies because of my experience.

I have been interested in purchasing a kitten. After looking up places I came across Westchester puppies & kittens. As always, I read the reviews before stepping foot into the store. I am in absolute shock as to how the owner presents herself via responses. She is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I do not know how after reading the reviews and responses anyone would still be interested in purchasing a puppy or kitten from youI think perhaps you should take a class on how to communicate with your clients in a respectful way. It is extremely odd that you as a business owner would respond to reviews (for everyone to see) in such a hateful way. I can only imagine how you treat the animals if you have a personality like that…

This place is literally a joke. I went in looking for a teacup yorkie which they had but were ridiculously over priced with no paperwork after looking at a few more dogs the staff seemed to have gotten irritated with my 2 year old son for trying to play with the puppies in the kennels and started shoving different dogs in our face to try and get us to buy something. The staff were very rude when I started asking questions but I didn’t want them to ruin the experience for me so I politely ignored them. When i finally came to a decision on which puppy I was going to take home they started rushing me for my photo Id and credit card(yes at this point i did start to snap back at the lady) but again I didn’t want them to ruin my experience so I walked out of the store to grab my wallet and when I came back doors were locked and lights were completely shut off. IM GLAD I did not buy a puppy from this circus that these people call a “professional business”

I’m very big on digesting information prior to writing a review. Reviews are important because they can save someone the trouble of going thru a negative experience. With that being said although I read many reviews about the store against my better judgement I found myself in here during my puppy search. Me and my sister collectively purchased two puppies from them totaling 10,000+ PRICEY! but worth it for a new edition to our family. Confident in my purchase I brought this dog home on a Saturday night being that we were the last two in the store. Less than 12 hours with my Pomeranian pup I noticed a harsh cough (later determined to be kennel cough). By Monday morning the cough had become so strong shaking his little body that I brought him to the vet nice and early, the vet determined he had kennel cough, pneumonia and an upper respiratory infection! WOW! All of this within 36 hours! So once the store opened a few hours later I brought him in and discussed with Megan the vets findings and I was given a few options including returning him for a fill discount, caring for him at home, or having him transported and admitted to a 24hr hospital for him to be closely monitored (even though at the time I was unsure if I would keep him). Ultimately after speaking with both Megan and receiving a text from Debbie I felt hospital care was the best answer especially given the fact that he was so small and had such a strong cough and runny nose. NOW at this point I’m ok even with purchasing a sick puppy for such a high price I’m liking the customer service and how attentive the staff and owner are being. Everything to follow is disastrous after the dog being admitted on Monday I didn’t hear back from Debbie after numerous attempts to discuss both the dogs condition and warranty should I take the dog back being that both her affiliated hospital and my vet notified me that this was not something that happened overnight and that it could take weeks to resolve! I reached out to her more than once and went to the store 2 days in a row in hopes of her contacting me back because at this point you have my 5200 and technically you also have my pup! Finally on Thursday I realized keeping this dog would later become a liability because at this point the owner has made it clear that she could careless to reply back to me with any information or updates and my 5200 was not of importance. So I gladly sent a message requesting my refund and VOILA a response! A very short unapologetic and quite frankly rude response! Her response stating that she was busy when I came into the store not giving her a second to come chat with me as a new customer let me know that I had made the right decision (this is after not reply to my text for two days)! It was a very sad experience after losing my puppy just under two months prior to a tragic accident, it was a hard decision for me to make for me and my son but I am glad that I used my judgement and that Debbie made the decision that much easier! My advice to anyone considering purchasing a puppy or kitten from there is to run and look elsewhere because if something is wrong they will not be kind, compassionate or apologetic but in fact rude and short without any remorse! Megan was very understanding and agreed that Debbie should’ve returned my messages (even if it’s a quick acknowledgement and to say when she would be able to chat at a less busier time)! Despite the bad reviews, the service was amazing and we got to even play with the puppies. I ended up buying a puppy, it was a bit pricy but they are giving me 3 years to pay for it which is amazing. The puppy i bought was very energetic but she bites a lot. She is still wonderful though.

My experience was 100% positive! I had visited them on many occasions prior to purchasing my yorkie last year and they were always friendly, helpful and available. The day of our purchase, we dealt with Daniella and she was as proficient as can be. The store was clean, they were quick to pick up after my dog when I visited and the workers were very diligent in picking up after all the other puppies while I was there. They told me just about everything a novice pet owner should know when starting off with a new puppy and they gave me all the proper documentation. I saw another reviewer say that they are disorganized: that was NOT my experience. They were very well organized and had all the necessary documents and health records together for me when I picked up my puppy.I have had my pup for almost a year now and he is a healthy, happy little man. He is an amazing addition to my life! To be honest, I actually never write reviews but I can’t believe some of the nonsense I am reading on here….so I wanted to add to the positivity on this page to counter all the absurd, negative comments by the nitwits on here :)-An extremely satisfied customer!

I had an extremely positive experience here when I purchased my havapoo :) I had the opposite experience from some of these other reviewers…. I was pleasantly surprised at the REASONABLE price I paid for my puppy despite what some others said. On top of that, my veterinarian thinks she is the sweetest puppy and she remarked at how healthy and clean she was the day I went for a check up. I guess she saw pets from other stores that were not as remarkable. I am very satisfied I bought her from Westchester Puppies. And because of the warm, positive vibe I felt when I was there, I strongly believe that they really care about the well being of their animals. Five big stars :)

I wouldn’t say I went and bought a cat. I say I rescued my kitten from this terrible place for thousands of dollars. Dolly is my Balinese who is now 3 years old. I wouldn’t have “shopped” but I had to get a specific, hypoallergenic cat. Dolly was a teeny kitten sleeping in litter with food all over her and with the saddest look on her face when I visited both times. Clearly had never been let out or pet, especially because she was hidden away and her miserable expression didn’t attract any attention. When I got to hold her she was a Tasmanian devil of excited energy. Dolly has severe, lifelong separation anxiety and feline herpes because of you guys. You took her away from her mother way too early. Every vet I’ve taken her to has said the same thing. She also was born with feline herpes, which is not curable and is only transferred through cats. Her right eye leaks brown stuff and she usually has it shut half the time. My poor baby is an anxious mess and cannot function unless there are people available to coddle her at any second she needs, which is a lot. It is so bad that if no one is home to watch her, she will pee in our beds. We have done everything the vets have suggested to help her for the last 3 years. Bottom line, this “establishment” sucks and Dolly would not be mentally and physically unhealthy for the rest of her life had they taken the proper care of her at the essential time she needed it. Ridiculous. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Rescue pets are often less neglected than Dolly.

I was a little skeptical at 1st due to the many negative reviews. Im Glad I didnt let that stop me and I took the chance . As soon as I walked in I got a good vibe not like many of the reviews that people felt they were rude and trying to force a pet on them. The young lady who greeted me was very professional and patient with me. I was able to bring the puppy Ive been looking for with no pressure. Reviews give you an idea of what the place is about but sometimes you just need to see for yourself. I honestly had a great shopping experience with Westchester Puppies and kittens ,I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a puppy.

The staff is excellent and the puppies are adorable. We bought our puggle there and he is in excellent health. The staff is always there to answer any questions you may have and that continues even after you bring your new pal home. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get a new puppy. I have two little girls ages 8 & 4 and we are so happy with our puggle puppy. He is great with them and they love being around him. We can’t even imagine him not being around.I live in Suffolk County and this was well worth the drive. This is a great place with a great staff and adorable puppies of every breed!

1 day before arriving there, I asked about a specific pup. They said it was available but no pricing could be given via text or on phone. Arrived there and the pup was sold. I drove 2 hours that could have been avoided. Waste of a trip and over priced.

Bought a beautiful, very expensive kitten here years ago. She is loving, sweet and wonderful. While I visited this store to buy my cat I was handed a listless kitten that hung in my arms for a long time. I was concerned and chose a different kitten from the same breeder. My kitten ended up having many health issues. The store did cover most of the costs of the health issues for the first year as stated but it was not without a fight. I later researched the breeder and was horrified to find out the conditions my cat had been living in and who knows what was wrong with that poor listless kitten I held. The breeder had been cited multiple times as well. Upon reading the citations, it was likely a kitten mill. Please do not buy from this store and do your research. Also, spend some time reading the horrific unprofessional responses to these reviews from the owner.

I manage a business 6 days out the week for 8 years at a shop that’s been around for 30 years so I know a little bit. This business is shady as heck. No prices are discussed and I see why. They charge a crazy amount more than breeders and the dogs don’t seem as nice even. Ofcourse they’re all cute but price range is out this world. Can’t see it being worth it. They need to be more open with their customers. I drove 5 hours under the impression I would bring home a puppy all because they couldn’t be upfront in emails sent over a 3 day period. The living conditions aren’t the best ag all only nice thing was the young lady working there she was really nice and welcoming

The manager was so friendly, helpful, welcoming and knowledgable. And the place was so clean! We got 2 kittens for our daughters for Christmas. They are beautiful, happy, social and healthy. I drove from CT to this place which is 1.5 hours away fro our home, to get our kittens and it was worth the trip. I and my kids are thrilled. Will definitely return!!!

I purchased a lovable 5 month old puppy from this place. She has a very sweet temperament and I would not change her for the world but I should have been concerned when I first saw her. She was filthy although apparently happy and healthy. I purchased her and a few days later she began to have blood in her stools. I made my appointment as agreed upon whilst signing my contract and found out she tested positive for s common puppy intestinal parasite which was not covered under contract. Although I understand why they listed this as not being covered, I was never told about possible bleeding or even if that was prevalent in their store. Apparently the parasite is highly contagious and not just passed from mother to puppy as I was told. Be careful here. You may just be sold a sick animal.

I went to this pet store today. The Italian guy running the show was very rude and short with my wife and I. I asked him a price on two different dogs, then after may wife fell in love with one and got upset someone almost took it he raised the price on us. He gave us two different prices on two different dogs. Can’t keep up with his own lies. I wanted to leave with a puppy so badly and my wife is now heartbroken after the guy was so nasty to her. HE ONLY HAS TIME FOR PEOPLE HE THINKS HE KNOWS ARE DEFINITELY BUYING. The owner should be highly concerned with how this guy conducts himself and treats customers differently

This place is a fraud. I adopted a kitten from them and within the first two days, the kitten was sick with a severe upper respiratory infection. I rushed her to the vet and she had to stay three days in their care to get Ivy, antibiotics, and be under observation. There was no way the kitten got sick at my home was clearly ill before we got her. There is a clause in their agreement that says they will reimburse vet bills for sick kitten in the first few weeks. It took me forever to get a hold of them. The vet had to email the bill and their report. After days of bothering them and getting no response, they finally issued a check. When I deposited the check, it bounced because the account they issued it on was closed. These people are nothing fraud. STAY AWAY and ADOPT at a shelter. No trouble is worth the headache these people will give. I will report them to the city, the better business bureau, and sue them for misrepresentation.UPDATE: When they finally got around to send a new check, it was sent to the wrong address.

I recently bought bengal kitten from them. But I was not provided with all the information. I asked them about kitten generation, non was able to say it. Also huge price gouging. Very very upsetting. I don’t recommend this location.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!I went in to look for a puppy and specifically told the sales person I want a mini dog no bigger then 40 poundsI was shown a “Mini” bernedoodle Who was 3 months old and I was told since he was mini he wouldn’t grow bigger then 40 pounds MAX!Well now my bernedoodle is 1 year old and 100 pounds.These people are scammers and are just looking to make a sale.

I contacted them in the morning about a Shiba Inu pup they had posted. They replied in a text it was there and they even sent me pictures. I replied I was coming to get it. I drove all the way from NJ and they said someone just purchased it. I was furious. I knew they were lying. They wanted me to look at their other pups. Later that day they didn’t realize it was me and they again texted me that they had Shiba inu pups.

Its hard for me to judge this place having only spend some time here looking at two puppies that I could not afford. Its a little frustrating that you cant find out prices before you show up or lease range of the prices I understand that they very differently but there were some people there who travel by 2 hours to find out that they couldnt afford a dog.The service was really good and the staff seem to really care about the dogs and were really on top of things. the staff was super nice with a conversation and I could tell that they were caring.Im not going to take every review at face value but after seeing the amount of reviews I guess Im more than Disturbed and after doing some research the sheer volume of puppies that theyre Distributing is definitely concerning and probably cant all come from reputable breeders. I should have asked for information on the parentage of the puppy I was looking at while I was there but I didnt really know to ask that.the reason I did my research and was really concerned was because the puppy that I looked at was only 4 weeks old and I was told it was from a breeder which is super concerning its really not okay, puppy should be separated from their mothers until minimum 6 weeks but really 8 weeks and sometimes 10 weeks. the puppy I saw was very cute but clearly not socialized and took a lot of effort to calm down.I really hope all these dogs dont come from puppy mills but it seems like thats probably the case especially after I saw the article that basically said that they were and then instead of changing their practices they just changed their wording on the site.I can see why people are upset but Im not because this journey led me to finding a really amazing reputable breeder online. Now Im getting the puppy of my dreams that cost considerably less and is fully socialized and coming from a good home. I also get all the benefits of a health guarantee and I know that my puppy was ethically bred to avoid any abnormalities and any genetic health issues.so if you want a pure breed look online there so many breeders and Ill be one out there with the dog breed that you want. I know that people just want to go home with a puppy immediately but sometimes things are worth waiting for.Be smart, adopt and/or shop responsibly.

My family had looked into getting a Samoyed puppy. We came across this place, we reserved our puppy and drove 3 hours to get him from Massachusetts. We have had him for a week as of yesterday and he is extremely sick. He has parasites, a severe case. We took him to the vet a few times already and discovered that he is very very malnourished. The first thing I said about the place when we had gone to pick him up was that it was sketchy, smelt horrible and it looked as if all of the pets were locked away in very small cages, desperately whining to get out. Something wasnt right. Not to mention that they also would rarely answer phone calls or emails. I am upset because this dog was supposed to help me with therapy and bring happiness to our family. Instead, were at least $300 deep in medical bills and it hasnt even been a week and we are left with a very sick puppy. I am disappointed and heartbroken at the fact that I am watching my puppy be injected with fluids and medicine and that this pet store would sell sick puppies and kittens. The vet told us that the vitamin that the pet store gave us that makes dogs GI worse and the kind you give to pets that dont eat. The store knew he was sick. Dont purchase an animal from this place unless you want an overpriced, sick pet. All the other reviews reporting sick pets are 100% true, including this one. This store malnourishes pets and doesnt treat them right. I am extremely disappointed.

Bought my Lilly here 2 years ago she was financed best $2,900 I spent from the moment I walked in and I saw her I didn’t let her go I was determined to walk out that store with her even though my husband said she was to expensive I fell in love with my Teddy Bear I wouldn’t change her for the world I have gone back looking for another puppy a male. Looking for another Teddy Bear but unfortunately when I go they don’t have any and won’t get another liter for a few months they sell fast so I never make it. I liked a few dogs there but yet to have that feeling I had when I saw my Lilly Bear! As far as the people commenting on buying a sick dog because they had a kennel cough FYI puppies are very fragile and when the go from one environment to the next they catch a kennel cough I went to the Vet they sent me to out in Queens got the antibiotics for her and it was gone in a week today I have a healthy happy loving baby I still take her to the same vet they recommend. Before buying a puppy look up some information and the care they need instead of coming on here bashing this place. Friendly staff from the day I walked in I worked with a Spanish girl I forget her name and also Lauren who fyi was willing on working with us on a price for our second dog but like I said I didn’t get one because I have yet to have that feeling like I did with my baby Lilly. But I will return again for my male pup!!!!

I walked in last week when they just opened and the smell was horrible. I dont think they clean the place well. 2 years ago I came here and there were roaches in the kennels with the puppies. Poop all over one kitten. I was so devastated and upset by this I called the health department. After that I paid another visit and the place was much better. But going in last week brought bad memories back. I hope their not back to their old habits. I feel so sorry for the animals here but they are so overpriced. I wish I could rescue all the animals in this place.

We purchased our so called Mini Goldendoodle last December for $3,800, HUGE RIPOFF!! Cause she was a registered mini and a good breed, we were told she will not be more than 20-30 pounds at most!! My dog weighs 63lbs and is as tall as my German Shepherd! NOT a mini at all!! We brought her home and we noticed she was coughing, the vet said she had kennel cough, she was also diagnosed with Hip dysplasia at 8 months old, NOT from a good breed at all! Do your research and purchase elsewhere! I went online and found a few good reputable businesses and breeders selling their registered, good breed puppies between $1,500 and $2,000.

The store it self wasnt bad and the girl that helped us out knew a bit about breeds but when it came to asking about price I didnt feel comfortable hearing her say that she couldnt give me prices without talking to someone that was in a room where we couldnt see.Price came out to be over a thousand more than what I wanted to pay for a puppy which Im not making a big deal out of it but they couldnt work with me on the money down or price on the pup.I decided to get one here because my wife fell in love with the dog but wasnt really pleased with the experience.I would suggest that they should have a bit more transparency on pricing.

Purchased my puppy a (Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier) from here in January and he has been sick ever since! Constant trips to the vet and drove over 3 hours to get him from here! ( big mistake and owners were rude!) Told me they were closing and I had to make a decision now. I love my dog and feel like I saved his life, but cannot stress this enough STAY AWAY!! They do not answer the phones either. Horrible customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

This place is horrible. I went there to get a puppy found one that was super cute took her home with me. The dog wasn’t eating, she was very strange. I took her to the vet two days after I got her and she had so many health conditions. They weren’t taking care of her hygiene her gums were so bad, the doctor said she was underweight, was anemic and she was constantly throwing up and pooping blood. The doctors told me she was going to have to stay over night in an animal hospital with ivs in her. I was so upset and heart broken. I returned the dog back because I knew I couldn’t see her go through the pain she was in. They told me they would refund me my money within 10 days and never did. I would email them and call them to ask about it and they would never answer their phones or emails. This place sells sick dogs to people and I’m not the only one to post a review like this. I would never recommend anyone get their puppy here. I spent 2,000 on a puppy that was super sick and I only had for two days. The worst place to get a dog from.

Had a great experience at the Westchester Puppies & Kittens. One of the employees, Meghan was great and so kind! She helped me find the perfect puppy, and the process was very easy and swift. Financing is also available so it gives the consumer more options. I would highly recommend visiting this store if your looking for a perfect companion to bring home.

The gentleman working hard needs to be praised for being such a productive and efficient sales worker ,especially with all the pressures of handeling and pleasing so many customers at the same time. I came in knowing i wanted a dog and asked him directly for specific price that way he isent frustrated or I . and the seller delivered and brought me a special pooch immediately, that melted my heart -she was perfect. The cleaning lady is another lady who was cleaning behind the dogs, was super great also very kind and helped as much . when me amd my family finally decided on getting our chosen pooch .they moved us to a quieter room while we handled the paper work and also while they were bathing my new little puppy and getting her ready to come home. Then when we paid thankfully all nessecary items where sold there cause buying a pet can be exhausting as hell from the excitment.lol. over all my expieriance was memorable brought tears to my eyes and i brought the whole family as well and it was very nice.there was christmas decor to take pics . i was there for a couple of hours but worth every second. ALL THEIR ANIMALS ARE BEAUTIFUL BRACE URSELVES. The smell is obvious because they are all puppies and kittens and its a animal store but its not as rediculous as a dog shelter . So finally my pooch came home happy and im very pleased with my investment and the quality of assistance i got. When i did the final purchase lastly with a lady, she answered every question me amd my husband asked and reassured us of everything. I posted pictures to show you the truth compared to some of these bad reviews claiming bad expieriances. My entire time wasent rushed or nasty or pressured or crazy . it was all great i highly recommend people to buy pets here. The animals are in prestige shape as well.there was also hand sanitizer which i appreciated and paper towels if any puppies had accidents while you where getting familiar with a puppy or cat in your own cubical. It is busy but its busy because the quality of the pets are good. My advise is if you have a budget tell the person the budget dont think that all dogs are cheap especially these akc pure breads.thank you 💙💎

I’ve seen many mixed reviews about Westchester Puppies and I have to say I had a very pleasant experience. I recently purchased my English bulldog pup from westchester puppies and as I said my experience was great. Absolutely cannot say enough good things about Lauren. She is great and really cares for all animals as if they were her own and is very honest! My little chunk was recently seen by a vet to make sure she is good to go and he said she is great shape!

One star because we were first interested in a female boxer she was beautiful seemed to be taken care of had a little poop stain here and there but it was nothing a bath couldn’t fix. We were told one price before but we had said we would think about it, we returned the next day saw the same pup and then the price went up $1,500 . Idk why what happened overnight that made the price of the puppy to go higher?! After that we just couldn’t it hurt to know that we fell in love with a pup but then they decided to make the pup more expensive.

I bought my Siberian husky- American Eskimo mix from here. The girls here were amazing and very sweet. i called in and told them what i wanted, about an hour later she called me and let me know there was a litter coming in of the Huskimos. i set up an appointment and came in with my husband. when we came in she brought out 2 puppies, a brother and sister and allowed us to feel them out. they did not rush us, they gave us alone time with the puppy for them to get use to us. we ended up purchasing the boy puppy the same day. unfortunately i could not bring him home because he needed more shots, so Aspen stayed a couple days after we purchased him. The girls called me everyday to let me know how he was doing and what the vet had said about him and what shots he got. They called me about 2 days after i purchased him to come and pick him up. They had him cleaned up and ready to go when i got there. Aspen is now 2 years old and in perfect health. we are actually now looking to extend our family with another furry baby, and i will definitely be going to westchester puppies to start my search.

Texted with owner about a cat we were interested in- said the price was around $1000. Drove an hour and a half and when we got there they wanted $5600, and the cat didn’t even look like the breed they were claiming it to be. Be wary of scam.

The puppy I adopted did have coccidia and giardia, two parasites that are relatively common in pet store puppies. After 3 rounds of treatment, he is healthy and robust. A happy puppy. Worth every penny.I am thankful to the shop for connecting me with my little buddy. No muss no fuss. I walked in, made eye contact with him and decided he was coming home with me. The people working there were courteous and called my name off the sign in list so they could help me. I got to play with my pup in a separated stall, so there were no interruptions from others. Then they took him away to give him a bath, and sent us home with some food and puppy pads. They instructed me not to take him outside until he saw a vet. A smooth experience.

I’m really sad & disappointed that they received so many bad reviews. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I got my first puppy there when he was three months old. Such a sweet/lovely & healthy boy. Now I have a grown baby who’s 3 years old & he loves to eat all the snacks 💓 I will definitely recommend this place if you want a puppy.

Very nicely kept store. Parking is difficult though. The puppies and kittens seem to be well cared for and healthy. They have a fairly good selection of puppies. The puppies seem to be a little older then i have seen from other breeders. Some were as old as 6 months with most of them averaging between 3 and 4 months old.

My cat from Westchester/Manhattan Puppies and Kittens it the best thing that has ever happened to me. Little Louie is the love of my life and I wouldnt change a thing about the whole process of getting him. I know some people are against buying animals and it truly isnt for everyone but I was looking for a particular cat thats why I decided to go down this path. I have adopted in the past but I wanted to try something new.My experience at both stores was amazing. I would say I preferred the Manhattan store more as the staff was a little bit more friendly. When I picked up my kitten( I was 40 minutes late and they stayed open for me) I was fully informed on how to take care of him, all of his shots, his microchip, the food he eats, how to groom him, etc. Every last detail was explained to me about my cat.I took Louie to the vet the following day and he was perfectly healthy! I know that the store would have refunded me my money or taken Louie back if someone was seriously wrong with him.They were so nice they charged me only $300 (most vets in Manhattan want $500) to neuter Louie and transport him to the Manhattan Store where I reside. They also texted me updates on his surgery and how he was doing! I really appreciated that gesture.Overall I would say that I loved my experience with Westchester/ Manhattan Puppies and Kittens and I wouldnt change it for the world! I would recommend going into the store and seeing for yourself. I got a best friend out of the experience and I am sure you can find one too!

Smelled terrible... The girl helping customers was obnoxious, rude and unwilling to answer simple question. There was a 3 hour wait to get a room to meet/play with the pups, otherwise you couldnt touch any of the animals. They dont answer their phones, but they will text you... And text me that they had the breed of dog I wanted (multiple males and females) , but 7 minutes after that text when I arrived at the store, they said they didnt have any of that breed. Not organized, well run, friendly, or convenient. Would never get a dog from here!

Updated Review:The business owner claimed that I don’t exist. I purchased a blue point ragdoll male kitten back in 2016 April. With tax he was $1900+ close to $2000. I previously attached the screenshots of the email conservation and I just realized that they were not shown. The owner claims to keep records of every customer and now saying that I am not real, it just proves that this business lies. And no I don’t have your phone number, When did I ever say I have your number? Read my comments before you reply. I do have the business email address because I did send several emails about getting my Uber reimbursement. And why did I leave a bad review after 4 years? Because I just thought about it again recently and I think people deserve to know how not-credit worthy the business owner is. And clearly you were bad 4 years ago and still bad now so it doesn’t matter when I leave this negative review since it stays true after all these years.Original Review:1. Terrible Company that LIES. I was sent to this location by Manhattan Puppies & Kittens and was under the promise that my Uber expense for traveling all the way there would be reimbursed. After bringing my cat home, I immediately took my cat for a vet visit. The vet said he was very underweight for a 2 months old kitten. Horrible, and claim to work out monthly payments with you for any puppy so you would be able to take the pup home that same very day, but then keep asking for more money up front. I put down a deposit of 500$ for a pug puppy then I was told to drop another 1,500 thats 2000$ up front so what would be the whole point of the monthly payments if Im already paying most of the puppy off? terrible service the lady is always in the back no where to be found you can literally walk out the front door with any animal she brings out to you since no one is watching you.. I have nothing but hate for this place since I thought I was going to take the little guy home that same day then find out I couldnt while I have him in the arms asleep... walking away from him was so hard and I never want to experience that feeling ever again.

I was looking for a puppy for my children for Christmas. Came across west Chester puppies. First issue was when calling they direct you to a cell phone number that no one answers. Finally texted and received a reply. I was looking for a golden doodle and asked what was available. They sent seven or so pictures. I narrowed it down to three and asked if they where available and price being that I live two hours away. They told me that they are available and don’t give prices out but they start at two thousand. Took the drive up the first dog she brought out looked like it was rolling around in it’s own vomit the second dog they brought out was truly gorgeous and I fell in love. When I asked how much she dropped 5200 on my lap. I then asked about the first dog and it was 3900. I explained that when I texted they stated the golden doodles start at 2000 and she said no they have dogs starting at 2000 not the doodles. Many people where complaining about the same thing. So I wasted a total of five hours plus tolls and gas for nothing. In my opinion bad business and will never go back.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this pet store. Its the cleanest store I was ever in. They have a full time vet on hand at all times. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.We bought a puppy from them and she was healthy and still healthy and a very happy dog.If I had questions I could call them and they helped me in training her.The basement has the larger dogs because a few times a day they are aloud to run around the basement for exercise.The little ones are also let out of the cages to play.We LOVE this place and the one in Manhattan very much and would recommend it to everyone.!!

5 stars for staff and 0 stars for price cant believe I paid 4700 yes 4700 dollars for a shiba inu puppy. Since the NY state is going to ban the sales of dogs at pet stores I think they taking advantage. And yes I couldve of walk away, But my daughters happiness is priceless. Just saying their prices are ripping customers off. So think twice before buying there. But regardless of price we are happy with our puppy. And yes I called and they said they had 6 Shiba inu puppies but when I got there they only had 1 might be a come in and sell you that one I dont know why they would say that over the phone, maybe to jack the price ( oh this is la last one take it or someone else will ) I guess you cant show interest in one specific puppy or the price might just go up for you, thats how I felt . But anyway its a good place to go .

I was so excited to go to this place because it was the first time i was purchasing a kitten. Little to know how dumb i was to not read the reviews before going. This placed smelled disgusting, but the best thing was that i saved my cat from this horrendous place. We then found out later that she had a heart murmur not knowing that when we bought her. We then had to take her to get her Eco done which cost almost 500 dollars and we have to do a check up every year which is another 300 dollars i didnt think getting a pet i would immediately have to spend that much money and she was just 5 months old. She also cost a lot herself because of her breed. The customer service their is awful i sent bills because they had to cover for her medical bill as written in the contract but they never got back to me and i left my name and number and no one reached back to me ever!!!!!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! idk how could anyone act that way when working with animals especially if you own one why u would ever be so inconsiderate! I dont recommend ever going back this place ever! Most people told me that you shouldnt have to pay that much once you first get a pet because their at such a young age and they should notify if theirs any problems with the animal before you fall in love with it. My vet herself said that was ridiculous!

Ask for Lauren! She’s amazing! My Yorkie Laci is now 7 years old. I purchased her right when the store opened. She had kennel cough (which is very common) but I was very nervous. I called Lauren and she had me bring her back and took care of her overnight with antibiotics. She took all the worry away from me and I didn’t have to make a trip to the vet! My parents fell in love with my dog so much I purchased another Yorkie for them a few months ago. I definitely recommend planning a trip not just stopping in. I reached out to this pet store to inquire about a puppy they had for sale. Unfortunately, they were not very helpful and would not provide pricing, saying they require you to come in for pricing. This is a red flag in my book! If you are advertising a puppy and you have confirmed he is available, the pricing for the dog should be established. It should not be based on you having to come in unless you base your pricing on the potential buyer? Just doesnt seem right and based on all the other glowing reviews, I think Im better off going else where.

Same here, pup kept in the back. Brought him out and was doing something like hiccuping, a couple days had passed and it worsened. Turned out he had a UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION which was already brewing at the time of purchase, went to animal hospital and found he had PARASITES as well which he also already had thats why the salesman kept pushing us and saying make sure you go to the vet right away, dont wait dont wait. 4300.00 on this English bulldog pup and two illnesses inside a week. 200 in vet bills!!! First puppy for my children and weve been caring for a sick pup for 12 days already, terrible!! Never again. Go to NY breeders around the corner, much better service and staff.**Please stop hiding behind health laws and contract technicalities, it looks like your hiding something. To say that oh well you signed the papers is very disheartened. The puppy was sick at the time of purchase and still Sick. We arent going to wait to bury this poor pup in less than a year, plus I told you in the email Deborah after you agreed to the refund, that once we have the refund I would edit or remove the review.* *I dont want this to go any further than a simple return and refund but I will if it becomes necessary, Im already losing in vet bills and accessories....

Despite all the bad reviews, this place has great service in my personal opinion , I have been there many times and have purchase a Boston terrier in the past, and will now purchase a poodle. They do have a lot of customers coming and going if you were wondering, some breeds are a little pricy, but it depends on the person too. . Great shop overall!

The communications are sporadic at best, we had made a day trip under the promise that the puppy we wanted was there, after over a 2hr drive, upon our arrival was greeted by an employee with..and I quote youre looking for scotties. Yeah I dont have any, you must have been talking with the owners, they have no idea what animals we have, but we are getting a shipment on tuesday from out westIn hindsight I should have read the BBB and google reviews on this business, extremely poor customer service. I will be telling all I know to steer clear of them.

I would give this store 3.75 stars. I have been visiting this pet store for about a year. Once every couple of months or so. I am in search of a white teacup Pomeranian. I just havent found the one yet. Today I put myself on the call list.Anyway this is great pet store. It has much improved after the remodel. They are still working on the pet items side. I really like the fact that they have added more private pet bonding rooms. The women there I spoke with just retuned from leave and was very knowledgable of the animals and was very organized at finding the specific information on the breeders. Some of the prices I thought were slightly high but fair for the fact that the animals are pure bread with papers. The animals also have already been chipped and had a vet visit including shots. When they do come across that perfect little white Pomeranian they women said she would keep me in mind and call. I know they offer financing but I would just buy the animal in full.

Dont listen to all the bad reviews here. They are NOT in small dirty cages. As soon as the dog deaficates, they are right there to pick it up. These dogs are treated EXTREMELY well, and the store has a full time vet on hand, along with a full staff you may not even see as a lot goes on behind the scenes. They all come from reputable breeders, and thats what youre paying for, healthy dogs/cats. I cant express how well these puppies are cared for. It makes me sad to see all the bad reviews, but most people who are happy with their new loved one dont post. We purchased a beautiful well rounded healthy puppy and would sure to purchase again.Debbie, the owner takes pride in selling healthy dogs. Like I said, there is a full time vet unlike any store that takes care of the animals. That also adds into the price, a price Im willing to pay for a well cared for puppy. It upsets me with all the bad reviews here. Keep in mind hundreds of people have purchased from Debbie, and there are only 55 reviews as of yet, that are not all bad.As far as a puppy being excited when taken out of his cage, (which is perfectly healthy for dogs and makes a great training tool for the new owner) the puppy is full of energy and likes to run around and be free to roam. Most puppies are excitable, even without being in a cage, which becomes their den. They do tire out, sleep, and then get excited again, just like a kid. I really wish people would become knowledgeable before their insults which are so far from the truth.Bottom line, I have never seen any other shop care for their animals as much as Debbie and her staff does. I would not purchase a puppy anywhere else after seeing how this shop is run. They go above and beyond.

In September 2021 I was told that the female toy yorkie was still available. Drove 2.5 hrs to get to the store and ironically she was sold when clearly they new I was coming (called before I left). When I got there they had no female teacup yorkie a at all and was sold a teacup male yorkie. Also, mind you I paid 5,000.00 for supposably a full breed teacup yorkie. 2 days after brought home he had kennel cough and some intestinal bacteria and spend well over 600.00 to get him better and I also had to get other dog treated. Granted the con artist gave 200.00 back I just had him fixed today to find out he is 5lbs and not a teacup. This store and owner should be closed down . I am seeking counsel, so this terrible person doesn’t do this to anybody else. I will still love my dog but other may not because they think I they are getting something there not. This women is a bad & d dishonest person you are just like the rest of them and ruin it for the true breeder a that actually care about their customers and animals. Shame on you. I couldn’t reply to your answer. You give a bad name for good breeders. Your pictures on your website still remain the same since 7 months ago when I was there. You are fake! This is the first time you responded so quickly. Everybody can just scroll down and see that you have issues and if you go to help you got comments from vets. That you are terrible you got a 1.9 star. 2/10/22 update- she is a scammer I just looked again on her site and she still says she has the dog for sale O’Connor. I had a friend call and they said come in in. They did the same to me. Shame on you! If you can do this to people and can just imagine what you do animals.

I think I was price gouged for my Tonkinese kitten. When I researched prices I was informed that $1500. Was the top price. I paid $3500. When I emailed to inquire why I paid so much I was ignored. Not to mention he had some health problems that so far cost me $500. They offer a free vet checkup but it was too far from where I live. Has anyone else paid so much for a kitten?

I just purchased the most wonderful Shih Tzu for my daughter from Westchester Puppies & Kittens. Meaghan was amazing. She was very patient and knowledgeable about the puppy and training. And took a lot of time to answer every question. Pricing was about average. Ive shopped other places that charged more. The end result is a very happy daughter, puppy, and customer. Kudos, Meaghan.

We got a puppy who turned out to be almost terminally sick day one. We were able to return the puppy for a full refund and to cover the vet bills. However, we still havent got the money back over a week later. So we are still 6k short and no puppy waiting for our refund.After doing our research on this place, turns out theyve been involved in multiple lawsuits for selling sick puppies from puppy millsUpdate: we got our money back.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Let me tell you my story. About a year ago I bought a German Shepard puppy from this store. Puppy was beautiful and healthy (at the time) puppy was also $3000!! Overly priced for a German Shepard. But anyways I purchased the dog and brought him home. Also got him checked by a vet and everything. And they said he was healthy, he just had worms and they gave him medicine for it. About two weeks later the pup fell extremely ill and died. I called them explaining my problem and they gave me no refund and said Im sorry theres nothing they could do. About a month or two later I went in again hoping things would change. I saw a beautiful Siberian husky and fell in love with him. Again I bought him and he was $2400! (Another ridiculous price) once again after I purchased the dog I brought him to the vet and got him checked out and he had the same problem. He had WORMS! The vet gave him medicine to remove the worms. Still once again same time 2 weeks later the pup also became extremely sick and died. This store offered nothing to reimburse me and all they said was Im sorry theres nothing that they could do. Please do yourself a favor and save your money and dont buy from this place. Their puppies are from puppy mills. Since then I now have a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepard Mix, Husky/Wolf Mix, and a Red Labrador Retreiver. All both extremely happy and healthy dogs. All bought from private breeders!!! Thats the key here people... PRIVATE BREEDERS! Dont get your pups from pet stores because most likely they are from puppy mills.

Be careful!!!! The puppies on the website do not exist. I traveled there a couple of weeks ago to check out a puppy and it wasnt there even though they told me she was. I just checked their website and the puppy is still showing as available. In addition, when I did see a couple of puppies I was interested in, one was Obviously not feeling well and was quite listless during the whole encounter. This place is definitely a warehouse for puppies.it is now January 2021. The miniature pinschers that are posted on line are still the puppies that were listed in December when I visited. They do not exist. They didnt exist then and they do not exist now. The website is obviously not updated and wants clients to visit...only to find that the puppies listed are not available. When you call to inquire, they will tell you that the puppy is available. I suspect this is only to get you there to try to sell what they have. Be wise and thoughtful if you decide to make a trip to see a puppyy.

4 years overdue, but my two fur babys 4th birthday was a few days ago and thought why not post a review.Ive noticed lots of negative reviews and would like to point out everyones experience is different. Yes read reviews, that is important, but for these kinds of things involving a life, its best to go in person with your own questions and get your own answers.My mother got a teddy bear mix (bishon shih tzu mix) and my grandmother got a toy poodle.How I found this place? Online search, then emailing, text, then in person.The place was very clean, you can play with the puppy/puppies and they answered every question my grandmother had.Grandmother experience:We went in wanting a red/brown female toy poodle. Unfortunately while they did say they had, when we went the next day only males available. Which honestly gender didnt matter to us, maybe for others this will rub off in the wrong way but to each their own.We did not have credit for the down payment and the payment option so we can immediately bring the puppy of our choosing. HOWEVER, we still could make payments but the puppy needed to stay at the place. We could go and play with our puppy whenever and it only took a month for us.Unfortunately our puppy had I think kennel cough but they immediately told us (cant remember if through call or in person when we went) and had prepared vet care for our lil baby. By the time everything was payed off, our little Simba was healthy and ready to come home.Mothers experience:Our bishon shih tzu mix was very energetic and we fell in love. Adoption for him was easy since we did the payment plan and immediately him home. Chase was very healthy.Overall:Our experience was very good and the staff was helpful and kind.The place where the vet who cared for Simba comes from became our own vet and we go there because the vets are awesome. the staff also recommended us healthy food options and how to properly care for our dogs.Simba is very kind and loving but calm while Chase loves to be hugged/kissed and very energetic. Opposites but they cant be without each other.The only off thing was that our puppy couldnt walk well and I needed to teach it how to walk and run (he also didnt want to eat nothing at all to the point we had to prepare chicken breast kibble and hand feed it) but once Simba interacted with chase all went well. Some dogs might just feel lonely and need another doggy companion aside from cats and humans.

Do not buy a pup from here. It will have health issues and long term too. So sad and poor pups. These puppy mills have to stop. Adopt an animal from shelters or go directly to a breeder and research research research.

We absolutely adore the mini dachshund puppy we purchased! He’s the perfect addition to our family. We get many compliments wherever we go. He’s adorable, friendly and well trained.

Love. I contacted the store before i came in, and i gave them an approximate time for my appointment so someone was ready for me, knew i was coming, and knew what i was looking for. I found Miss cookie almost immediately, Our Beautiful Snow White Bengal. Shes the light of my life now. I had no problem asking prices- our young staff member was informed of what the prices were of the cats...she helped us out with some free litter and a litter box (oops, sorry!) because we were traveling with our new little baby. id love to post a picture of Miss Cookie. We are extremely pleased, and will be looking to add another Bengal or Savannah to our family soon.

This place is absolutely amazing! Please don’t believe the 1 star reviews, they really aren’t true, this place was my second choice and from now on will be my first. I got a 6 week old puggle now named London and she’s amazing. They were very thorough with me on the adoption/buying process, and let me play with her and her brother without being rushed to buy. I wasn’t familiar with these symptoms, but it didn’t look good. I put a lot of effort into my pets, I love them and try my best to not let them get sick.I had to take the kitty back and tell them he needed to see a vet.I was worried and upset because I wasnt sure if my Winter was going to get sick.I was so angry this was happening because the day of the purchase the sales representative promised me a healthy catIt took them over a month to find out the kitty had ringworm 😑😠😡My vet took a look and knew right away my Winter had ringwormHer hair started falling off, she was scratching her ears until they bled. My family is going thru a traumatic experience. Ive never seen my cat like this.My fiancé and I broke out with with ringworm.I asked the owner for a reimbursement. It was their fault my cat was going thru a traumatic experience .In the end I didnt want to risk my niece getting ringworm. If I wouldve been more careless she couldve, what else is in that store besides fungus? During these times they need to be extra carefulWere still in a pandemic. I need a full report from your vet. So I gave him that and the medical bill. He then agreed and told me he would reimburse me the money. Me and my boyfriend were looking for a kitten at the time because we just moved here and wanted a kitten. when we came in here we asked for a price and they said lowest was 950$ that being said do not waste your time. I went to a breeder and had adopted a healthy purebred Siberian kitten for 500$ and on top of that hes in the champion bloodline. I wanted to write my review to not let everyone know theres better prices, but to read the owners comments towards her customers Before purchasing a animal from her company, She is so rude and unprofessional and anyone in the right mind wouldnt do business here.

We bought our Baby Maltese from Westchester Puppies in mid April. We couldnt be happier with our baby. She is well tempered and was easy to train. We live 3 1/2 hours away and made arrangements to purchase our puppy via the internet. The staff was very helpful and very courteous when we picked her up. I would recommend getting a puppy from them. We love our puppy and she is the sweetest!

The store workers were polite and friendly and let us spend a lot of time with the puppies. But the price was unbelievably high. They asked for 4200+ for cavapoo puppies, whereas the usual prices if 1500-1800. We visited this store on May 1, which was admittedly in the last phase of the Corona lockdown phase. But even in Chelsea Manhattan, a cavapoo costs 2500 during the same period. Also it needs to be cleaner, the dogs are sweet but pee everywhere.In summary : very friendly, too expensive, some urine.

We bought our beautiful White Golden Retreiver from them. She is AKC, strong beautiful and healthy. They are not selling mixed breed animals. If you dont wanr to pay the money dont shop there.The store was clean, many cats and dogs, no odor and all the animals there looked very healthy. I would give no stars if it was an option. I will start with the way the business is run. During a pandemic, my boyfriend and I tried out adopting, but it didnt work out. We turned to the option of purchasing a dog. We made an appt with Westchester Puppies and Kittens. Long story short, we waited for two hours for them to bring out dogs to us. in our car. Okay, they are just plain unprofessional.Moving on.....Buying a dog from here is the most expensive rescue you will ever do. Yes, I say rescue. My little girl had pneumonia, Giardia, and Coccidia. We got her on Friday, took her to the vet on Tuesday. I couldnt believe it. I contacted them.... asking them to pay our medical bills as contracted...no answer. At this point, they are being INVESTIGATED BY THE WESTCHESTER ASPCA. Another dog from there that went to my vet also had pneumonia. OH AND ANOTHER HAD PARVO. If you buy a dog from this place, get ready to pay big bucks for medical care. If my dog spent another week there, theres a big chance she wouldnt have survived.These people are pure garbage and I hope for all the dogs and kittens sake they get shut down immediately, they are criminals.

I purchased a bengal kitten from this place and as of 2 months he passed away at the age of 5. I was told and signed paperwork that I was given a healthy kitten to later have to put him to sleep due to a brain tumor. The vet I was seeing and neurologist claimed Leo could’ve possibly been cross bred. His last month of his life he was unrecognizable. His last night with us he seized the entire night and was aggressive. I’ve spoken to different breeders since then and learned it’s ILLEGAL to purchase a pure bred from a store. Our lives are not the same without Leo. His life ended too soon. I truly believe this business is 100% evil and are in fact being investigated. This place needs to be closed down and the people responsible for it should be arrested for negligence. PLEASE find a breeder. Do not buy your animals here.

The staff explicitly told me a kitten I was interested in purchasing was $400. After spending time with the kitten, and driving well over an hour to get there, when it came time to purchase the kitten all of a sudden the price jumped to $1,800 and they offered a payment plan. This place is a complete and utter scam. Dont waste your time, find a legitimate adoption center or a breeder. I was speechless when they suddenly upped the price by $1,400 at the register, I had never experienced a transaction that seemed so illegitimate. Complete scam.

Should be a ZERO. Place is a RIP OFF. They wanted to charge me $2500 for a Scottish Fold Kitten. I purchased one in Brooklyn for $1300 with papers and everything. For $2500 I wish they would take care of their animals better. They are in small, dirty cages and the smell in the place is unbearable. The guy in the place wasnt helpful either. I bought my first Shiba inu from here 4 years, It was my first time buying a dog and I was so excited that I probably overlooked obvious warning signs about this place. I never received the pedigree papers for my dog as was I promised after purchasing but it’s fine she’s a beautiful loving dog with perfect urajiro and breed qualities. I recently visited to look to purchase another pup and it was a revelation now that I’m more of an experienced dog owner. At first glance it looks like the place has upgraded with some new renovations but the quality of service has degraded 100%. When you walk in there is just a foul smelling odor that almost takes your breath away, dog feces are left to sit in play rooms with pups for an exorbitant amount of time which can easily spread diseases and parasites. They tried to sell me a Shiba inu that was obviously not purebred for $3K, the puppy had facial markings and features more typical of a corgi than a Shiba inu. From speaking to one of the staff it was clear that she was not informed about the breed and was used to selling mixed breed Shibas. She thought it was a normal thing for a Shiba inu to retain a black mask into adulthood.The breed registry they referenced to verify is totally suspect rather than trusted gold standard registries like AKC. But most importantly alot of their puppies just didn’t look healthy like they are getting the proper care, attention, and exercise they need.

We had such a great experience shopping for a puppy with WestChester Puppy and Kitten.I didn’t get the woman’s name who helped us ,but she knew exactly what we were looking for.And Dylan helped us complete the purchase of our new addition!! We drove 2 hrs to get there and they made everything possible to help us get our baby ❤️❤️

Poor communication and poor business etiquette. Called to secure kittens before a 3 hour drive. Owner did not suggest putting a deposit on the kitten at the time. When I arrived the kittens I came for were walking out the door with another family. At that time the owner of the business ceased responding to texts & calls. Employees at the store were unable to offer any suggestions or assistance. No apologies were offered or mention of next litter/further possibility of obtaining a kitten.

I went to their store yesterday to look at some puppies for my grandma long story short I came home with a yorkie puppy myself great customer service and great help from shama. There was a tall white guy there with her he was also fine until he gave me other options to look at with other puppies just in case I don’t get approved for my yorkie I was fine with it but I really was in love with and attached to the yorkie puppy he told me yea the yorkie is over 4000 so here some others for you to look at and brought me cute Chihuahuas just to find out they where actually way more than the yorkie puppy thankfully shama came over and ran number for me and told me the chihuahuas was over 5000 and I told her wait that’s more than the yorkie and she said how much they told me for the yorkie I said 4000 and she asked who said that and he popped out of no where very defensive with a little bit of attitude in his voice or maybe I just took it that way and said “NO I said they range over 4000” . Two hour drive for me so I called. Msg machine provides text #. Texted drive time and asked availability of specific breed and pricing. Also stated I was coming to purchase, not look. Was texted that is not done over the phone.Wow, enough of a red flag for me. Definitely put me in the column of lost sale. Pricing could have been whatever, id of been okay with it. Lack of transparency/secrecy about a puppy? Scary.Update: the texts I got back after posting this were seriously crazy. There are deep issues happening with this individual. Bananas. Most unprofessional experience anywhere ever and they sell animals!Id definitely stay away.

This place was very unprofessional. When the dog was given to us they’re paws were soaking wet with urine. They barely clean up after the dogs. When we asked to negotiate with the price of the dog after how ridiculously high the price was the lady said no. She wanted almost 5 thousand dollars for a puppy ! How crazy is that !!

Lauren is beyond amazing. I don’t know about the rest of the reviews but we are actually on our way to pick up our new addition to the family. We got a beautiful French bulldog. They helped out in every way. FromTexting to calling to giving us advice. Amazing experience for us. Thank you guys. We will be coming back for our second puppy.

I had a very good experience here yesterday and I got a beautiful new puppy out of it too. The people were very kind and helpful. Most importantly, they listened to what I wanted and tried to accommodate me, rather than trying to sell me anything or something necessarily expensive. Overall I was fully satisfied with the experience.

We bought a mini poodle from here a couple weeks ago, Best decision ever he’s the sweetest thing! the staff was so accommodating and helpful towards us, they were very patient with us while we were trying to find our new pup!

My Sheba is 5 years old and we love her. However, I purchased a JUG, a combination Jack Russel/Pug for which I have paperwork states so.I just received the results of the Wisdom DNA test and discovered that SHEBA IS NOT A JUG! She is 50% Pug and 50% Beagle which makes her a Puggle. We love her and would not change anything, BUT she came to us with kennel cough and another issue which I cannot recall at this time.DONT TRUST THIS FACILITY, even when they give you paperwork!Yes, I suddenly did the DNA test. Whenever I did it, the fact remains I have the paperwork from you and I have the results from the DNA and they are DIFFERENT!

I had good dialogue through email with quick replies, I also got pictures sent I asked for, the Bengal kitten I wanted was available when I got there. I read the reviews prior to making over an hour drive and didnt know what to expect. I had a very positive experiance there from entering to leaving with our new family member. When I got there, there were 2 ladies (customers) in there and then it seemed in seconds the place got busy with more customers. The lady helping me handled the traffic well, saw to everyone and got the line moving with people and pets in different areas to play and she checked in to see if anything else was need or good to go. She was short staffed and handled the customers well. Unfortunately this place got some bad reviews on Google but I had the comete opposite personal experiance and witnessed taking care of multiple people at once, which isnt easy to do if youve ever worked in a retail settin . I would recommend and for there again. Thank you for our new furry family member.

We had visited this place twice before purchasing a Munchkin kitten. The whole vibe of this place seems a little weird, couldnt put my finger on it but I shouldve listened to my better judgement. The kitten we purchased seemed healthy except for some runny eyes. Fast forward 3 or 4 months and we had to have Lola put to sleep as she had F.I.P. which is an infectious feline disease that there is no cure for. I will never purchase an animal from a pet store again and I hope others do not have the same experience.

The animals are overpriced unfortunately.I have copied and pasted the response from the owner who is clearly upset about my over-priced comment.Several reviews dating back pre-covid stated the same thing in regards to the animals being over-priced. We are all aware of the pandemic. Using the pandemic as an excuse to why the animals are overpriced is dishonest and opportunistic. I would have more respect if you were honest and just acknowledged your pets are indeed overpriced. But to use the Pandemic ..that is pretty low. Supply and demand means that prices have significantly increased in the past 9 months.There’s no reason to give a small business a bad review because you’re unaware of the world around you. How dare you post a negative review about a small business in this state of affairs.

If there could be 0 stars given Westchester deserves nothing more. When I brought my kitten home it was discovered kitty was covered in fleas, ear mites, and had an eye infection. Later when ringworm patches came up on our skin, what we thought were bad flea bites, (yes, fleas were that bad) discovered was actually ringworm. Thank goodness I had kept kitty quarantined due to other ailments. I used our own TRUSTED family vet, who has successfully treated this poor kitty back to health. When looking at the paperwork, the paperwork is even questionable now with the clear and healthy. The dates on the paperwork, kittens age, and the vet office stated to having seen the kitten do not coincide with one another.When I called the vet office stated to be used, Westchester had not used this vets office in quite some time.When looking at the paperwork, and age of kitten, the years did not match.I live to far to travel, in handling business directly. I would have spoken with someone over the phone, however as seen many have ran into that issue. When I text Westchester, cause as I read the reviews seems to be about the only way to contact, I was met with only rude replies. The unprofessionalism seen within the text was astonishing.Heres to another poor review and the hope that this establishment is met by NYS, with the same care it gives to its animals!

Hi everyone !! My partner and I purchased our beautiful baby boy P’nut on 5/26/2020 and he passed away on 6/3/2020 due to parvovirus. Westchester puppy’s were excellent with refunding us the deposit with no hassle and paid for us to get his ashes. Thank you so much for letting us spend the little bit of time that we had with our bay boy P’Nut. I highly recommend this pet store.

Absolutely deplorable customer service. They do not answer the phone. We were corresponding via text, up until 8:15 last night. We drove 2 hours to get here to get a hypoallergenic kitten that was supposedly on reserve for us as of 8:15 last night which is after their closing time. were waiting outside for them to open for 25 minutes. Finally a woman answered the door. We came in gave her our name, she went in the back, came back and let us know that they have the cat in their computer system, but it’s not actually there anymore. By far the worst experience I’ve had with any company every.

Thank you for not let us do business with you guys.. their puppies prices are $ 4500 to 5k (Unfortunately no room for flexibility at all ). Fortunately, We got a beautiful healthy Pomeranian for $ 3k at The pet shoppe Middletown nj paid in full with all papers certification in order.. An excellent guaranteeMicrochip etc. Life time heritage guarantee and more . . I will advice , if u are looking for a teacup dog do u research on puppies Breeder’ s places , u will found the right prices with a good quality breed of dogs . Just be patient and don’t let them control ur wallet (don’t forget that it is a business situation vs emotions more when you are looking for a puppy keep ur emotions out and use ur rational mind to close ur business if not this shops in general will take advantage of u emotions to take more $ from u. My husband and I purchased an exotic short haired kitten about 3 yrs ago from here. From the beginning it was always something regarding his health. Now we just learned he is in kidney failure. One kidney is either deformed or missing so the other one is working over time. Hopefully Monday he can have CT Scan that will show us a little more. Either he has to have major surgery to remove a kidney or we have to put our furbaby to sleep. Please consider a private breeder Do NOT PURCHASE A FAMILY PET FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT IT TO SURVIVE.

They have the audacity to ask $5,200 for a 10 week old kitten that is not spayed yet or has all of their shots. If you are getting that much money for each pet, that place should have MUCH larger cages for the pets (animals were crammed tight). I completely dont understand why they think a kitten should cost this much? High-end show cats arent even worth this much money.

It’s funny, after reading some of the reviews, they sent me the same picture of the kittens saying they are ragdoll kittens unlike Birman written below. I thought it was a bit odd when I asked for a Siberian and they also said they had them as well. Usually most pet stores don’t have “most” breeds in stock as they claimed through their correspondence with me. Seems like a ripoff to me. I tried calling and none of them ever pick up. I had tried to contact them via text and they seemed very vague and sketchy saying that they’re “pretty sure” that the kitten I wanted from the picture was in stock and that I should go in to check. I told them I was coming from far away and if they could let me know prior to me driving and they stopped responding after that. I’m glad my friend checked out the reviews of this place prior to me going and we decided against going here. I’d rather go somewhere more reputable and trustable with higher customer satisfaction. After reading the feedback from the owner/workers on the reviews posted, it seems as if basic customer etiquette is also lacking. You need to learn how to treat customers with respect and not rant at them, seems rather immature.

Today I had the most amazing experience at this establishment with the help of Robert!!! I bought a Siamese kitten 10 weeks old in perfect condition and I couldn’t be happier. ALL of the staff was extremely polite, helpful and extremely informative. They’re very thorough with the process and won’t leave you clueless. It’s extremely clean and all of the animals are super friendly and look well taken care of and I would 100% recommend coming here for anyone looking for a new baby in their household. Thank you guys so much for the help!

I purchased My German Shepherd (Robo) and it was exactly what I wanted. They made sure I was fully informed on how to take care of the dog and that was important to them. It has been 2 months and Lucky is just awesome. I would go there again.

Never coming here again so dissapointed in everything! This was one of my favorite go to places in westchester but after they stole my money and wouldnt return it Im telling everyone I know never to come here ever!!!! Also very high pressure sales typical of a true puppy mill. Wouldnt even give one star! DisgustedStay away!!! Save your money also manager is the nastiest person ever!!! BEWARE

Got my mini walrus here when he was about 4 months old, he’s now a year and a half old and has always been a healthy and well-adjusted pup. His behavior is amazing and you can tell comes from a quality breeder. If I ever wanted to get another dog, I would only come here.

I purchased a French Bulldog puppy from Westchester Puppies. The puppy was 6 months old when I purchased him. When he was brought out to me, the puppy ran around in a circle till he was out of energy. Seems to me he was locked up in a kennel for a very long time with little exercise. The puppy had a massive under bite and would coward down as if he was abused when you try to pick him up. My wife and I felt horrible for the little guy, I have 2 rescues from New Rochelle animal shelter so we felt like we needed to give him a loving home with us. At 6 months he was already 28lbs which is pretty large for a Frenchie. He just turned a year and he is pushing 33lbs, on walks we get plenty of attention and questions if he was a pure bred French. From the paper work we received with our purchase it states he is a pure bred. But when I tried to research the sire/dam or even breeder name, nothing can be found on the internet. As if they never existed. Our French does not have any major medical issues which im thankful for but he is allergic to poultry. Im not going to sit here and bash this business, or put blame on the owner. But someone really traumatized our puppy and im still in the process of building his confidence. I would love more info on the breeder of my French so i can better educate myself with his background. When i call either no one picks up or the conversation goes no where. My next purchase will be from a private breeder or we will be back in New Rochelle animal shelter. They have wonderful dogs/cats that are praying for that forever home.

I bought my cat from here in December of 2015. He was extremely expensive but adorable- a blue russian. Tomorrow i will be putting him to sleep because he has feline leukemia and has been getting worse and worse for the last few weeks. While he tested negative for the virus as a kitten, my vet said sometimes they test negative when they are very young because the virus isnt strong enough to show on the test. He was an amazing cat, and it breaks my heart to have to put him down, but he is suffering. I am giving 1 star because it is obvious he got this from his parents or the other cats at the store, as he has NEVER been outside or around any other cat. DO NOT BUY A CAT FROM HERE. The place smelled awful when we got there,and i assume that most of the animals that they have are sickly and ill, just like my cat is now. i paid over $2,000 for my cat, and didnt even get to keep him for 2 years!!! and with medical bills etc, its been about $3,000. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Do not purchase anything from this place. I paid $3,700 for a dog that came with a parasite and respiratory infection. I returned the dog for a refund and was told I would receive it within 10 days, it has now been a month and nothing. They are no longer responding to my calls or texts, but I had someone text them to ask about a dog and they answered immediately. Disgusting and unprofessional, do not give these people your money.

This puppy mill sold me a sick dog. The puppy has been on antibiotics since 4 days after I got her and is currently in the hospital on oxygen 3 weeks later. I will probably have to sue them. DO NOT BUY AN ANIMAL FROM THIS PLACE.

If I could give negative stars I would. I’m beyond disappointed with this place. I put a $300 down payment on a golden doodle that I already formed and relationship with and named “Mango” and brought my other dog to meet. A week before I would take him home I received a call saying he was “unfit for sale” after I had already made the payment!!! And now when I call to speak to someone no one ever answers after I left numerous voice messages and emailed. I’m not from Westchester I’m about 45 minutes away with no traffic and now I have to go all the way there to try to get my money back. I’m really blown away by how awful the service has been. Hope they treat the animals better than they treat the people but I doubt it because Mango was always covered in his own feces.

I bought a matured cat here some years back (2013) beautiful black and white persian shorthaired cat but i had to return it. thankfully they accepted the cat back and dealt with the loan company for me. their selection is really good compared to what is by me. The staff was nice too but the smell of the facility was intense aside from that i dont have anything bad to say about this place.

Certified puppy mill. Tried to buy a frech bull dog. Worste decision ever. Not only was the dog sick. They gave me a hard time about returning the dog. This was Dec 2015. Now I am dealing with their loan company. They failed to inform me that I have to inform the lawn company of my return. Been paying a loan for a dog that is not mine. No mail or email. Just right out of my account. Just realized the issue because the company did not look familiar. Good luck if you choose this stop.

So Im looking for a male Maltese. A co-worker suggested looking up groups on Facebook. I loved the images of Westchester Puppies so I texted and emailed them. They were immediately responsive, that make me more interested to do business with them. Id planned to visit the store on Sunday for a purchase. Today I spoke with my co-worker excited to tell her im visiting the store on Sunday. She said theyre more bad reviews then good! I understand every experience is different. Its the OWNERS RESPONSE that completely turned me OFF! Im a business owner and that isnt the professional manner t dissolve disputes. So Thank you OWNER for saving me the gas, time and annoyance.

I adopted a tonkinese kitten from these people for $1400+ dollars in July. He was promised he was in good health. 6 months later we are cremating him because of a disease called FIPV virus. Unfortunately I did not realize this place had several complaints against them prior to our adoption. PLEASE BE WARNED BY THIS REVIEW, DO NOT ADOPT FROM THIS STORE. Our hearts are broken and their pockets are filled with our money. Dont support these criminals I wish I could give less then 1 star

The puppies are too high priced. You call and ask them if they have a dog and they say red and then you get there the don’t have the dog you called about. It looks clean, but it was really stinky inside. I not a person who says don’t go to a puppy store, but if have to there are much better places.

We were extremely disappointed. We travelled 2.5 hours to look at teacup poodles. We wanted a female. We were told they had several to choose from but would not give us price. Well they had 1 female and 1 Male. So that was a long ride for nothing especially the pup over 3000. I couldnt recommend them

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!! they do not care about the animals. I bought a dog here and 2 weeks later found out she was sick and only 3 years later she had to be put down for lung disease, they also lied about how old my dog was when i bought her. this place should be shut down..STAY AWAY!! I feel bad for all the puppies and kitties here because they need to be in much better care, an investigation needs to be done! I would give a ZEROOOOO if i could!!!

Came to visit some kittens and the experience was amazing! The workers are diligent and helpful which aided in the adoption process. Throughout the visit the service was superb, my phone died and they were happy to provide a charger which is a small detail but was extremely kind. The presentation of documents and how to care for my new kitten was informative and hilarious at the same time which elevated my experience even more. Thank you for a wonderful process and for my new fur baby!

Growing up in the ti-state area, I never found most pet stores to be super clean or to really show that they care a great deal about the animals theyre selling. Imagine my surprise then when I went to Westchester Puppies & Kittens, was greeted warmly by the staff, saw how happy and well-treated the pets were, and ended up getting my own shiba inu pup with great advice on how to raise, train and take care of him. This was easily the best experience Ive had in any pet store in the ti-state area.
