After a full year after completing Jared’s advanced obedience course with my working line Mal X, I have nothing but positive things to say. I had adopted a high energy, working line dog that I initially had no business in owning. He tore up the house , ate out of the trash, could jump nearly to my ceiling, and did not walk on a leash at all. My dog was lunging, barking, couldn’t go in public at all. I brought him to Jared for a consultation and he observed my dog and could read his behaviors immediately. We had set up a training plan of 8 weeks after that. I learned so much as a handler and dog owner I could not believe it. I continued using his training methods at home post training and I now have a dog that leaves people in “aw”. They are amazed how obedient he is, and how well he follows my commands. The bond between my dog and me is so strong. I have learned how to care for and bond with my dog so well I had went to school to learn how to train working line breeds. I now have my own dog training business in Texas, inspired to hopefully take what he has taught me and what I learned in training school to change behaviors of dogs who are hard cases such as mine. My dog that he had trained is now the poster and gold standard of my business. Jared and his training are above excellent and life changing.

Jared is a good, personable, and real world trainer. We had both of our dogs trained and were able to build a lot of confidence in their behavior, our handling, and ways to approach issues. Definitely recommended for your training in a balanced style!

After looking at reviews and doing some research on trainers in the area I decided to take Hank, my lab/ golden puppy to Jared. I was amazed at how quickly we were able to make progress with Hank without affecting his extremely energetic and happy temperament. We both enjoyed going to classes and its clear that Jared loves dogs and what hes doing. He takes time to get to know each dog and fine tunes training for all of them. I look forward to using Jareds services in the again for Hank and any future dogs I may get.

This was my first professional dog training program and as an owner of multiple dogs throughout my life I would never do it another way again. I am so happy with my experience training with Jared. Pearl is only 6 months old and has multiple tools to build and continue her training as she ages. We both looked forward to our training sessions and felt it was always a positive and welcoming environment. She has become such a confident dog having gone through this program. Jared is awesome! Not only does he spell his name the right way, but he takes great care of my dog. He had my beast of a pitweiler all summer and provided an exceptional boarding experience, walking him and bathing him (unrequested) and even made sure to use hypoallergenic shampoo. I returned to a happy, healthy pup. He even took time to give me a short comp training session on how to help my dog behave better on leash and correctly use a pronged collar, which is something I’ve needed for a while. Jared is my go-to guy for dog care and I look forward to working with him in the future.

Jared did everything we asked and more. We could not be more thankful to have worked with him. We drove over an hour just to use him. He cares about your relationship with your dog. He helps you train your dog but build your bond. He has a real understanding of dogs and what they need. We put our full trust in him and we are so glad we did. Our Bernedoodle has lots and lots of energy!!! We took him to Jared at 5 months of age to train us to walk him on a leash and basic obedience. We were so impressed with Jared after the first class - he gave us the tools we needed to control the dog. He also tailored the training to meet our needs. I cant say enough good things about Jared! I adopted an Aussie Doodle who was surrendered and wasnt entirely sure what she went through. Id never had a dog that didnt get along well with other animals or people, until this dog. When my boyfriend and I first met Jared, he was completely honest and explained that it would take a lot of work in training and at home to have better control of our dog in situations where shed be meeting new people and pets. Jared is extremely knowledgable and teaches owners how to understand their pets. Its very important to read your pets behaviors and be able to prevent uncomfortable situations. Jared taught us so much in our classes and our dog responded very well. We trained with her every week at home and it really paid off. Im able to take my dog on walks while healing her so she doesnt pull me all around. She has mastered basic commands like sit, stay, down, etc which are the basis for excelling in training. We were a bit nervous for group class at first, but grew very confident in our dog and her abilities thanks to Jared. She was one of the best behaved dogs at her group classes! I am so grateful for Jared and miss our trainings, but am so proud of how far my dog has come. If youre considering Jared or another trainer, there is absolutely no question. I had shopped around for a trainer, and even met another one but Jared is truly the best. Other trainers handle your dog and tell you what theyre doing, but Jared provided us guidance and allowed us to handle our dog which I appreciated. We knew after meeting Jared that he was the best choice for us. He is so nice and answers any of your questions. He encourages you to reach out even after your trainings are over if you need assistance. Take it from my anxious Aussie Doodle who grew to love Jared!

We have a 4 year old German Shepherd named Milo who was in need of some more complex obedience and training due to his behavior. He is bratty and scared of everything. He had to get used to being around people and other dogs. We tried a trainer when Milo was much younger but they said that they couldnt help us and Milo was untrainable. Well, Jared helped us train Milo and the change is pretty remarkable. Milo took to the training right away and we did everything Jared taught us. Group training with other people and their dogs was really good for Milo adapting to a social setting and being comfortable around it. Jared gave us the tools to help Milo not react the way he does to certain things and situations. We totally recommend Jared for training and obedience for your dogs, it has definitely made our household a better environment for ourselves and Milo!! Our puppy is very hyper. Over the course of 12 weeks Jared has taught us so much and our puppy has come so far! Training is a combination of one-on-one classes tailored to your dogs needs/temperament and group classes that get your dog comfortable being around other people and other dogs. I adopted a small mixed breed from a shelter. Foxy is a crazy little girl, that had no manners. Upon Jared meeting her, he knew she was in need of confidence, and that she had great potential. Jared has trained Foxy on a one on one basis and also in group settings. He shows you exactly how to react, so you may correct unwanted behavior. We took his 10 week Advanced Obedience Course and I could not be happier with the results! He is truly amazing with these dogs! My Foxy now listens to all commands and I owe it all to Jared.

I can’t say enough about how great Jared is! We brought Jettson at only 3.5 months old and Jared worked with our complicated schedules with most of our sessions being every other week. Jared was there anytime we had any questions! Jared was super flexible with scheduling doing what he could wanting to see Jettson succeed. Jared is personable, professional and makes training fun while making sure things are done correctly. We are constantly getting compliments in public about how well Jettson does! Jared has trained both of our dogs, ones a husky the other is a lab. He trains to the dogs personality and it is an amazing change from the first day to the last. With his one on one classes to the group classes he is very professional and trains to your needs. As a repeat customer and seeing how great of a trainer he is I would definitely recommend.

Thank you Jared Horton for helping me and my Blue Heeler puppy Tinker! After 30 years of dachshunds I got a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog)…I quickly learned Blue Heelers are a whole new world and I needed help. Jared was knowledgeable about this breed, but more importantly, he developed training specific to Tinker’s temperament and my needs. He helped us build a solid foundation of obedience without taking away her fun, crazy ACD personality. Our training was a combination of 1:1 classes, group socialization at the park, and a shopping outing. Tinker loved her training and has become an amazing puppy since we started working with Jared. Jared is the best. I have a puppy and took him there. He is so patient and never makes you feel like youre a failure. My last dog was trained but the trainer had me in tears so many times I had to stop. Jared will give you all the time you need. He never hurries you and corrects you in a way that eases your confidence. I would recommend him for anyone with a puppy/dog that needs guidance. Also the grooming is excellent!

We have just completed Advanced Training with our Pompsky, Roxie, under the guidance and tutelage of K9 Trainer Jared Horton. He has extensive knowledge and ability to relate to both dog and owner. All three of us took the individualized training with Roxie and found out that the owner needs as much training as the dog.  Jared works very well with both canine and human pupils!  Roxie is a high energy pup and continually suffered from a severe case of the “ Zoomies”. After a couple of months of individual training, we graduated to group training. It was there that we really saw the results of Jared’s training process.  She is a much calmer and controlled canine. Thanks Jared…  We look forward to more advanced training in the future!!

Would recommend to family and friends so I would recommend to you. He is very good at learning each dog and taking the time to work with their individual personalities. Ella has become a better dog with Jared.

Would highly recommend. I attended a 12 week beginner obedience class with my 4-year-old dog, Sadie. Sadie started the class with some pretty concerning behavioral issues deeply rooted in fear and insecurity. I cannot speak highly enough of Jared’s knowledge of dog behavior and training. He bases his training on real-life scenarios that you will apply and use in every day life. Sadie has already gained a confidence that will change the quality and the trajectory of her life. I am so proud of and hopeful for the dog she has become and I truly thank Jared for his role in that.

Jared worked 1:1 with my Shepherd and I. He answered questions, focused on what I would like from my dog, and helped teach me about how to train. His attention was always on my dog being the best he can be and instilling confidence in myself on how to properly handle my dogs breed. My Shepherd improved greatly under Jared’s training.

Can’t say enough good things about our experience with Jared! I adopted my dog as she was approaching 2 years old without many obedience skills. Jared took the time to get to know her and really tailored training to suit her needs, which included individual and group classes, as well as a “field trip” to a dog-friendly store. I feel so much more confident as an owner and am excited to continue to keep up with the skills my dog learned!

Can’t speak highly enough of Jared. You start with a solid foundation and work your way up. My dog Charlie loved him and made the classes fun but still challenged my dog. Group classes were amazing and he made sure we were ready to inter grate with the other pups. 10/10 recommend . I watched my dog transform from a scatterbrained puppy to a mature obedient adult. I will be bringing my other pup in for ability training. Jared offers a range of courses not just obedience. Cannot wait to start the next course!

We got a puppy and wanted to start him as early as we could in training. We met with Jared for an evaluation, and knew right away that he knows dogs, how to train them, and how to teach the owners to train them. I took my golden doodle puppy to Jared at 12 weeks old, started with 1 on 1 class then progressed to group class! Cooper listens to me now and does commands very well. If I could give 10 stars I would!What a great place! Jerad did an excellent job socializing my 6 month old standard poodle. He trained her to walk on a leash. My dog is a very docile poodle that needed to be exposed to new people and experiences and especially other dogs She came home with a whole new attitude and she also gained a lot of confidence.I am amazed that I can walk her on our property now (even without a leash) and she heels. She now has great recall and is learning to stay in place on command. I will continue with lessons in the future. I am very impressed with his training skills.My dog spent over two weeks with Jerad.She received much attention and walks with him. She also attended poodle classes with other dogs while staying there.The facility is modern, immaculate clean and you will feel very comfortable here!Worth every pennyIf you want an easier life; you must have an obedient and well trained dog.This is the place to go!

I would like to thank Jared Horton for all the training provided for Lady and MYSELF to get her CGC title.Upon is first evaluation of Lady, he instinctive knew what type of personality she has, and what would be the best approach in training her. Ive always had German Shepherds, but this was the first time with a Bernadoodle. He taught me the correct way to praise, encourage and discourage Lady. (totally different from the way you train a GSD). Ive been to a lot of different trainers, but he shows a complete interest in the dog and the TRAINEE to make sure they are both learning and following through. I now have a new German Shepherd puppy that will definitely be going to Jared for training once old enough. Cant wait to hear his evaluation and training schedule for him!

Jared is a fantastic dog trainer! He gets to know each dog individually so he can tailor their training appropriately. I continue to use what we have learned in class at home and my boxer (Bo) just keeps getting better with the commands. Highly recommend him!

Was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism portrayed by the owner. For the free 30 minute evaluation, he only spent less than 10 with us and minimized the problems we were experiencing. We left feeling not listened to, and belittled. He gave us some tips to help with normal behavior, but if he spent more time with our puppy, he would have seen that he acts abnormally. He seemed more interested in busting my fiances chops than actually helping. Very frustrated with our experience.

I highly recommend Jared Horton’s K9 LLC. My dog Rebel was very timid and needed some major training. She would always bark at everything and anything. Now that she’s gone through training with Jared she is not at all afraid of everything. Yesterday was our first day of no training so I decided to take her for a long walk. We walked past horses, goats and other dogs and she did not bark once and walked right next to me without me having to remind her to heal. I am so glad i reached out to Jared!

I rescued two high energy husky/mixes who couldn’t be left alone without destroying my house, were unmanageable on a leash, and could never be trusted off leash as they would often escape and take off with zero recall. Thanks to Jared, they’re now completely crate trained so I’m worry free when I leave them at home and they walk great on a leash with zero pulling and can even go off leash in secluded areas with a much better recall. Overall behavior and obedience has improved tremendously !! Can’t recommend enough.

Due to an unexpected surgery and long recovery I had to find a place to board my friends dog murphy. Jared seemed like an obvious choice after reading reviews and asking around. 15 days after dropping her off we were able to pick up one healthy, happy, and freshly bathed dog and we couldnt be more happy. I brought my two Dalmatians to Jared for training and with just one lesson a week in five weeks they have improved immensely. I have been going to Jared now for over 3 months with my Belgian Malinois puppy and what difference in her obedience it has made. I have people come up to me all the time and say how well behaved she is for a puppy and they are in disbelief when their older dogs are so out of control. I tell them to contact Jared for anyone who needs any type of K9 obedience no matter how old or what type of canine. Jared was a wonderful resource for us when we bought our Great Dane. We havent had a large dog in quite a few years and with young children we were a bit hesitant and wanted to ensure we started training early. Jared worked on building confidence with both our family and our dog. I finished our training feeling confident about moving forward with our giant breed. My 7 year old is able to give commands and heel the dog with no issue. Jared is very professional and tailors his training to meet the needs of the family and more importantly the needs and personality of the dog. His training is not a one size fits all approach and I appreciated him working with us on the specific issues that arose with our furbaby throughout the training. I met Jared. He puts you at ease, he is very good at what he does. Our new adopted dog liked him right away and so did I. The place is clean and set up well for training. This was our first lesson, he explained things well, had me write some information down on dog body launage. This was helpful and just writing it will help me remember it.Nuka and I and my husband have our assignment for the week. I feel good about this, we have had dogs ever since I can remember. My first stray at 9 my first puppy at 14. I have never been to a trainer, I looked around alot read reviews and I feel once again fate lead me to where I was supposed to be. Jared Horton was referred to us by family members who used his services. He is an experienced, knowledgeable, truthful and confident, master dog trainer. At our first meeting he made a promise that he could get us where we needed to be with our VERY strong and VERY confident 70 lb. Newfoundland puppy. He goes above and beyond to deliver on his promise. He is generous with his time, even traveling to our home to observe our dogs behavior and suggest ways to rectify that behavior. Mr. Horton doesn’t disappoint.

Jared is world class in every way!!!Weve boarded our Pitbull with Jared several times and for long extended stays. Ive had to leave town for work a few times on short notice, and Jared was always able to accommodate. With my demanding work schedule, Jared made it super easy for me to drop off and pick up at late hours in the evening after work. Jared even drove our dog to my town for drop off which is 35 mins away! Hes incredible.Our dog can sometimes be difficult to strangers but not Jared. The first time she met him, Jared was able to instantly put her at ease. Jareds attention to detail and genuine care for our dog made us feel so relieved. Jared treated our dog like she was his own and he made sure she felt comfortable in everyway with him. Jarred is so amazing with all dogs. My puppy gets so excited every time she sees him. If you really take your time to listen to what Jarred is telling you, you will have a very obedient dog. Absolutely awesome boarding facility. Super clean friendly our dogs are let out often and able to play and well taken care of during boarding. He does an amazing job of taking care of your dog he goes above and beyond to make sure your dogs are taken care of while you have to be away. I would recommend his boarding facility to everyone!

Jared has been great for our Yellow Labrador, Diggs as well as with his owners 😆. He has given us many techniques to use with him when he is in uneasy situations. His has become a very obedient dog as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I recently started training with Jared to help get better control of my reactive dog. I felt overwhelmed and anxious trying to take him anywhere, because I didn’t know if he would react or how he would react.We started with 1:1 sessions to set a solid foundation and figure out some of the triggers he might have.Then we joined group classes, and it’s honestly one of my favorite classes I’ve been apart of. There’s just something about training with 4-15 other dogs and handlers, having your dog in real life situations, building a bond with your dog, evolving that bond into a partnership. I am happy to report we have exceeded my expectations and we have been walking everyday! I now feel comfortable and confident in my training and most importantly my dog!

We adopted a young puppy over the summer and quickly realized we needed help. Jareds training classes were a great experience for both our puppy and our whole family. As a family we learned how to read a dogs body language to help us understand what our dog was telling us. Our puppy was able to learn basic commands including sit, stay, heel, come, etc. We are extremely grateful for Jareds help, now our high energy puppy understands when it is playtime and when she needs to calm down and listen.He is now our kennel of choice too! Luna gets so excited to see him.

We have a dog who is an utter and total wreck whenever she is outside the house. (including intense panting and shaking) She is typically given meds to even go to the vet. BUT, I wanted to to bring my 18 year old son, who is her primary caretaker, on vacation so we decided we just needed to take the plunge and board her to take this once in a lifetime vacation together. From the very beginning, Jared was patient and reassuring with me as I expressed my concerns about wondering whether shed be able to make it a week without us. He did such an amazing job quelling my fears. It was clear in talking with him that he loves what he does and is excellent at it. Jared understands dogs well and gives the dogs individualized care when they board with him. From the moment I left her, I never worried (which is saying a lot because I like to worry about anything and everything under the sun) and I was right not to. She was in more than capable hands. She not only survived, but thrived. And I think one of the most telling moments of Jareds care of her was when we were picking her up he had left the room and when he reentered, Sagey went up to greet him as if he was her special friend. I literally couldnt be more thankful for Jared. He gave us the gift of lifetime memories we never thought wed be able to make. I will definitely be boarding her with Jared in the future. I would recommend Jared again and again to anyone looking to board their dog.
