Great experience always ! My australian shepard usually doesnt like to be away from home except when she goes to her spa . She receives top quality service. I love how they cut her buttock hair. It looks clean and neat.

First visit there was confusing because even though our cat came back smelling and looking impeccable he was not himself. He was slow to react and somewhat drowsy. We brought this to the attention of the owner who said the cat was tired because of day at spa.Today, a few n months after the last visit, we decided to try the place once more for the same “spa experience “ that he had the previous time since he looked and smelt wonderful; on this occasion he came up looking and smelling the same as when we brought him in. The trim was uneven, he didn’t get bubble bath only a dry shampoo, and the justification was that because of he’s age and that she didn’t want to use the hair dryer on him despite the fact that three months ago she did use the hair dryer on him.Why now she’s concerned!?Today she’s validated our suspicions that something happened at first time that wasn’t replicated at today’s visit.We’re seating in front of the salon waiting for her call us back to pick up our cat, since we complained about the way Morgan came out. We have at home a cat’s hair clipper with different attachments what they did today we could’ve done the same from our home .We have videos of the first time Morgan went to this place and I’ll see if there’s a way of attaching it to this review.The images below are from the first time , before and after followed by two new photos from today’s where a furectomy was performed on his right front leg and the back of his neck the way it is now.Please take a look at first photo of his back and the last one you’ll see one of the reasons why we’re writing a review and make your own decision.We keep finding more wounds in Morgan’s, you wouldn’t think these people could be so carelessA CAT-astrophe!!

I’ve been going here for 3 yrs now, and my dog always looks so cute after her haircut

Unskilled & unreliable at it’s finest.The 4th pic shows how our cat was prior his pseudo grooming at this place; the other images are from when we picked him up after a +4h appointment on 11/4/23 . He has wounds on right front leg , left knee and had the back side of his head shaved behind his ears to the skin, clearly done intentionally and the woman who runs the Ricksville shop knows well what I’m talking about. No excuses.A good search in this shop will have findings that shouldn’t been there since they’re not veterinarians.They deserve to have their permit being taken away and their doors closed!

Did a great job grooming my Yorkie. It was his first time getting groomed and they were super nice and caring. Def will be going back to the Hunt Station location!! Good prices too!

Do not bring your pet here they are animal abusers! They left my dog traumatized to the worse extent and she was not like this, when i called to let the owner know she tries to acuse me of the one abusing my animal, unprofessional and the manager is as nasty as they get!

I have been taking my 2 year old Shichon to this salon for about 5 month now. And this is the first place that would listen to me as how I want my dog groomed and do it exactly the same. Crew is professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this salon.

Very disappointed with the team. I was a customer for last 3 years. Lately my dog seemed to be in a lot of pain afterwards, eyes were very red almost like bloody.I have switched the groomer and she seems to be fine.

Seriously how does it take 20 min+ to cut my dogs nails? I’m sitting there as the owner is trying to teach the tech (who’s been there a long time I might add as I’ve been there before) how to cut her nails with the grinder then she just walks away. I said “excuse me no offense but she’s telling you she needs help and I cant just wait here I have to get out of here”. She made a face then went back and proceeded to finish after 3 batteries died on the grinder. Never going back. If they can’t even cut a dogs nails would never trust them with anything more than that!

My family lives in Bethpage and we just made the switch to Cat Diggity Dog this year. Their dog grooming service is amazing and very affordable. It feels more cozy and loving than any other groomer Ive visited and frankly, they make my Samoyed look like a fresh puppy again.

I would never bring my dog here ever again. The owner Shelby is the rudest person you will ever meet. She is so condescending. I can’t even imagine how she treats my dog, because he wants to run out of there each time. If you love your dog do not by any means bring them here. They do a terrible job cutting hair and do not listen at all. There’s another groomer who is right by in Hicksville named luck paws. They are great! Go there and not to this nasty owners place

They shaved all my dog’s hair off! He is a Maltese mix and was a little overdue for grooming, but this was a bit extreme and they did not ask me first if it was what I wanted. He also is acting very traumatized/ skittish since i picked him up from his appointment. He never does this after being groomed at our regular place. I only went here because I had a hard time getting an appointment there, but it’s obviously because they do a much better job. Beware! I will not be returning.

Does not listen to directions at all. Asked that my dog be cut a certain length and wanted the hair around his face in a circle shape. They shaved him completely and didn’t touch the hair around his face. Called the owner and fought back and forth and asked for a refund. No apologies and no refund. Got very hostile over the phone. Poorly run.

Firstly, they didnt tell me the right time for my appointment and I had to come back at a later date. They overcharged for teeth cleaning. I went to the vet a week after she got groomed and she still had fleas and bad teeth, after they promised to take care of that. She also did not get her nails filed or cut. Horrible service.

The service is very speedy both times I went and they treated my boy very well! 🐱but I did notice sometimes I call to make an appointment and for some reason, the confirmation text will list a different time then the one I confirmed over the phone (like 30min earlier)

I had a situation before where the owner Shelby trimmed my dogs hair to a bare when I strictly mentioned I keep his hair a bit fluffy. She claims he was matted so I mentioned and have it in writing please shelby if you feel you can not dematt him let me know next time I will take my time with the proper tools and make sure it is taken care of rather then trimming all his hair off. When I dropped him off again and mentioned please keep his hair long she did the same exact thing and texts me after it’s done then she trimmed his hair short.she just wants to take the easy way out rather then spending the time to do it properly. She has no right to make that decision herself. Especially when she was specifically told not to and made that mistake before. I have my wedding coming up and now my cute fluffy dog is almost bare skin due to her not listening to directions and not consulting me as requested. Never shall I go to this place again and will advise everyone to stay away. And when I was picking my dog up and told her what she did was wrong she then threatened to call the police. What an absolute joke of a place.

Love love love Cat Diggity Dog! Took my dog here for the first time today and I am so happy with how amazing everyone was. For the first time in years I felt so comfortable about leaving my dog there to be groomed usually I sit outside pet smart and petco but today I came home and waited for my dog. I picked him up and he was so happy and he looked so handsome! They did such a good job and I cant wait to go back with my other puppy. I highly recommend you take your dogs here prices are reasonable and you can trust the staff taking care of your animals. Sincerely CD

I used to like this place but last time they did a shotty job. They said my dog had no flees but when I took her to the vet a week later she was crawling with them. They should have let me know. They used to care more for the animals. I will go elsewhere.

They did a great job on my cockapoo Teddhi. He looks so good and I know he feels great. They cut him just how I wanted and cleaned him up good. He been so happy every since I brought him home he been running back and forth lol. He be laying down with his legs up in the air or spread out. I will always bring him here the groomer did a excellent job. Thank You!

My dog came here 3 times. First they couldnt groom her because she was too afraid but the groomer was helpful and tried his best. Second time my dog was not having it, the groomer who was supposed to groom her was a little nasty about not wanting to groom her so I left unhappy. But this recent time the groomer was so caring and friendly towards her, my dog let herself get groomed! Im so happy about the experience with that particular groomer I hope shes there when my doggy needs to be groomed again. Thank you! Third time was the charm!

I took my 5 month old Pomeranian for his first grooming to this place & it was a horrible experience!!!!My request for the grooming was explained in detail I even showed them some pictures of the trim I wanted since Pomeranian are known for being very fluffy dogs.I wanted a shape up / trim ONLY & nails trim.Well my poor dog’s hair was shaved completelywithout my permission & no he wasn’t matted. He was just a fluffy hairball. That lost his charm due to a groomer who lack the experience.The groomer was an insensitive, sarcastic woman.I was told she “can’t glue his hair back!! But it will grow back”Really?? I will not return or recommend this place to anyone. I regret paying for this horrible service too.

My dog LULI had a horrible experience. Never ever bring your dog here. Be warned they do not treat animals well here. My pup came home with cuts on his belly and the owner was so terribly rude to me that I’m disgusted. It’s so tragic to see that she’s still getting away with this abuse. Do not go here

Brought my 2 1/2 year old Ragamuffin cat there to be groomed two weejs ago. Shelby did an amazing job. The cat has never been so comfortable getting groomed. I couldnt be happier with the service and the end results. Shelby gained a new forever customer.

Very disappointed with my first experience. The groomer was friendly and nice but when i picked up my two yorkies they both were covered in hair that was shaved off of them, unevenly cut, and the leash i dropped one of them off with was broken and tied back together. Not to mention i wasnt informed of the leash, i had to see it on my own. Lack of customer service and the owner Anna has been putting me off for a week now claiming she will get back to me with an update on the incident.

First, Ill be the first to state that cleaning the face of a shih tzu is no easy task. Buildup around and below the eyes along the very short snout can be very difficult to remove without irritating the eyes. When I picked up my shih tzu, other than observing the well groomed haircut, I noticed eye irritation. I didnt think much of it at the time as it is very common to observe mild eye irritation after a grooming, and thanked Shelby for the job (even gave her a tip). Upon arriving home, I did observe some discomfort, and noticed that my pups eyes were extremely bloodshot. I waited overnight to see if the condition would improve, and it actually looked even worse the next day, at which point I called my vet and set up an appointment. My vet was shocked at what she observed, where BOTH eyes had been subjected to trauma that caused hemorrhaging. Medication was necessary to treat with a follow-up appointment requested. I went back to Shelby not to confront her in any aggressive manner, but to find out what in the world happened to cause such injuries to my dog. She immediately denied wrongdoing, and went into a diatribe about how such incidences never occur at this facility for the six year she has been there Stopping just short of calling me a liar, she stated that the injuries probably occurred at home at some other point. She did state that she would look at her recorded video footage and get back to me, without offering any apology, nor any refund, nor any assistance with the $140 vet bill. I have still not received any further communication from her about what she found in the video footage. So to those reading this, be forewarned... your animal may be injured, and Cat Diggity Dog will not exhibit due concern or accept any accountability for such a mishap may it be deliberate or accidental.

Amazing Place The Lady That Does Cats Is Wonderful Person and Very Caring with Animals She Made My Baby Star Look So Beautiful Prices We’re Excellent And Scheduling was Convenient Had To Cancel Twice and Rescheduled Due To Work Every Staff That Works Here Is Friendly And Nice I appreciate everything you guys do here my girl will be back star soon. They even recommended when should I do and to follow up with them to maintain the mantay of the hair and how to keep it growing back. Appreciate It. Highly Recommended

Second time I’ve taken my dog here and I’m not quite sure why they can’t do what I ask. I requested a haircut and bath. They gave him a bath but it doesn’t look like any of his hair was cut. Now, he appears to be shedding even more. The lady that was there told me she would cut him down almost to a shave. They’re nice people but the work just seems subpar. Second and last time here. I don’t care about the price. I want the service I requested.

The guy at the front desk doesnt do his job very well. Ive been taking my dog here since I got her (2 years). I had made a reservation on a Sunday to get my dog groomed. Ended up having to go back and get her after a few hours and she wasnt groomed. Once they made her look like Goofy 🤦🏻‍♀️

I took my cat here a lil while ago because she gets nervous being in a car in a carrier so she tends to poop herself.I called this establishment and told them about my dilemma and gave me a set price but when my cat was cleaned and I got back they wanted to charge me more because they cleaned the carrier which I wasn’t given notice of.Not only that my cat had severe breathing because her lungs seemed to be filled with water.I don’t know what their buisness is but if they think they can just not be gentle and soft core drown my cat and call that grooming they can go ****.NEVER COMING BACK.

Love this groomer. AFFORDABLE PRICES and a very friendly staff! My pup always comes home with a quality cut, smelling fantastic and looking handsome with a bandana. The staff is so accommodating and are great about taking last minute appointments.

No complaints! Bring my cat here regularly for a bath, deshed, and nail clipping. Was running late and they kept my kitten there for an extra hour. Would highly recommend

Loved this place until they DOUBLED the price of a simple cat nail trim that takes less than 3 minutes. Used to be 10$ which is totally reasonable and now it’s 20$???? Makes NO sense! I understand inflation but doubling the price? That’s not accounting for inflation, that’s just robbery. Won’t be coming here any longer unfortunately.

The best grooming service in our area. Brough my 4 year old Terrier in for a full grooming and he never looked cuter. If you love your pet like we do go book Shelby

This place was recommended to me by a family friend. I called to make an appointment. Mentioned that I’m a new customer and was TOLD to come in today because “I have 2 extra groomers”. I called on a Wednesday morning. I have a full-time job- why would you assume I’m available?? When I told her I can’t today and that I wanted an appointment for the following week, she said “oh excuse me!”. I told her never mind and hung up. Extremely unprofessional and so rude. If this is how you treat a potential customer, how are you treating our pets?! Do not give this place your money.

My dog was happy to be there! She looks very cute and felt safe, which is all I can ask for when taking my dog to get groomed. The groomer was so sweet. The price was fair.

First time here after I heard good things. Clean, and friendly place. My schnorkie, Bernie had a nice haircut and was even hanging with other dogs freely which he usually doesn’t do so I know he felt comfortable there. Will be going back again.

Im not going to out the name of the groomer, but I was very disappointed with the service I got here. We brought our Golden Retriever in who came back COMPLETELY SHAVED. A golden retriever is a double coated dog, you are NEVER SUPPOSED TO SHAVE A GOLDEN RETRIEVER unless that is EXPLICITLY what the owner wants. I was shocked at the sub-par communication and the casualness of the groomers response when they said that this was normal for a Golden.

First time there, asked how I want hair to be cut, told them 3/4 inch off ear length, picked her up , he took off at least an inch & a 1/4. Not Happy, ears too short. He told me that her ears were matted, not true! Ive been brushing them all week. Plus her left leg was very uneven , not the same as right. I had to try & correct error. Otherwise the place is very clean, the receptionist was very pleasant!SORRY! I wont go back. Plus actually, too expensive anyway.

Took my Morkie in without an appointment on a Saturday when everyone else was booked. First time here and definitely will return, they did a great job and I liked how they let they let the friendly dogs roam around the haircut/washing area.

I am new to Cat Diggity Dog after getting my dog Biscuit a grooming. They did a fantastic job, and it was very easy to schedule an appointment on short notice. I highly recommend them.

Just made the change to Cat Diggity Dog as my dogs previous groomer fell off the face of the planet. Cat Diggity Dog is much closer to my home and although the price is significantly higher than what I was paying I was very happy with the way my dog looked. The staff treated him like he was their own dog. Will definitely be back! Thank you

If you’re looking for friendly and professional groomers, you don’t have to look any further than Cat Diggity Dog. My dog usually gets very anxious when being groomed, but he and I both felt perfectly at ease here. They seriously have the best staff ever— I can’t recommend them highly enough!

We took our Beagle for grooming to them today for the first time. They were excellent with the grooming and overall handling of him. Very knowledgeable as well. Highly recommend.

I came here as a walk in. They texted me when my Yorkie was ready and I had a one time coupon that applied. Off of convenience 5 stars. Im not too crazy about his haircut but I can imagine that they did their best because he is a hyper handful.

First, whoever was on the phone was rude as hell and unprofessional. They were very unprofessional with the pricing. It seemed as if they were making prices up as we were going along with the discussion. First it started off at $20 and then they said oh this product is also $20 more on top. So I said fine $40 is cool. I come back and then they said the price was $70.... they have to get their game straight. Shady business. Very Shady

This place is so trash I let my dog wash there and his eye stayed red, burning red for weeks. His left eye was red since we got him back and his eyes been red ever since. Do not come here, I highly dislike this place and know you might receive the same to ur dog if u trust them. I would rate it 0 stars if I could.

Don’t go here! My dog never wants to go, he comes back scared and he has scabs on him. If you discuss any concern with them, they don’t accommodate to the customers needs. They do what they want to do and rush all services and overcharge

We love this place and highly recommend it. The people here are very professional and take great care of our dog. I know that places like Petco do their best but they just don’t have the experience that you find at CatDiggityDog. Give it a try and I’m sure you’ll be thrilled.

If you’re looking for a place to get your cat (or dog) groomed this is it! i was skeptical about getting my persian cat groomed because you hear lots of stories about bad things happening at some places but after talking to the owner when i brought my cat there, i knew my cat was in good hands. The place is very nice and when i picked up my kitty after she was done i was in awe! she looks so cute and even had a little bow in her hair! prices are great as well as services. cat diggity dog definitely got a new long term customer!!

My puppy was groomed and we were very pleased with the care he received. When I picked him up, he was playing with the other pups instead of being locked up in a cage crying.

Took my dog to this establishment and he contracted fleas. They don’t check for vet records and you are putting your dog at risk. Owner doesn’t seem to like animals or people. Extremely rude.

Brought my Miniature Shnauzer for a traditional Shnauzer cut. He came out looking like Sphynx cat. The staff was friendly thou.

Made an appointment to bring my cat for grooming today. I was not told that they only do one type of cut which is a Lions cut. Took my husband a lot of time to get the cat who is an indoor cat into a crate drove a half hour away and when I asked the owner if they could do a different cut, especially to help with the shedding, I was informed I should get rid of my cat if I want to get rid of shedding! Is she serious? I will never ever go there again. My husband took the cat home and we never groomed the cat. I highly recommend that you do not bring your cat to this facility or any pet for that matter! Very rude, very unprofessional very poor service.

First time at Cat Diggity Dog. I own a BIG FUR BABY! A 15 mo Cane Corso. Scared of her own shadow. A big mush! The groomers their, I wish I could remember their names, sorry, Male & Female groomers. Loved them! They took such great care of Penelope! They cared for her & gave her the TLC she needed. Def., going back in July! They said she seemed a little scared of the other dogs and next time will set up appointment, when she could be alone!! WHO DOES THAT?!?!

Our dog was shaved down too much and not evenly. It was also more costly than typical for a small dog.

Had an appointment at 9am on 12/14/20. I showed up at 9am nobody at the salon. Its raining so I gave them a few minutes maybe some traffic or whatever. After waiting 10 minutes I contact them on their instagram page. I asked them if someone will be there soon. They replied with let me check then came back and said Sorry the monday groomer said she texted me about this but i never was notified. She said another groomer is coming instead of her and working 3pm to 8pm for today. I can let u know later today when shes there. Or set u up for friday or sunday w nicole . As a business owner myself, I know when my employees are or are not coming . I rearranged my schedule so I can drop my dog off and now they tell me that? Terrible management.12/22/20I get their response on here someone came in at 10. Number 1 their response to me was someone wasnt coming in until 3 and number 2 no one was there at 10.

Groomers do a fine job. I cant vouch for haircuts, I only get my dog a bath. My dog always comes out clean and soft. And thats why Im giving 5 stars. But the front desk worker is honestly so unpersonable. He never really seems to know what hes doing or say much more than the number im paying. I dont know why youd want someone like that to be a greeter of your customers... it was even worse when the only way you could make appointments was thru the phone. So glad they have online appointment booking now so I dont have to deal with him. A lot of the time when I come, hes in the Chinese restaurant next door talking to someone else that works in the plaza (im pretty sure one of the salon workers 2 doors over).
