I took my sick dog recently there, the doctor was so thorough, compassionate, and attentive. He took the time to explain all the options and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. My dog is now on the road to recovery, and its all thanks to the expert care he received there.I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring veterinarian. The staff was so kind to my cat and sweet with her. She was very scared at first but warmed up to them. Everyone worked really hard to understand what was going on with my cat’s stomach and why she kept vomiting. They took her temperature, did her blood work, x rays, gave her fluids, an antibiotic, an anti acid , and she didn’t feel a thing! They sent her home with a can of digestive care food, an antibiotic, and told me to give her half a Pepcid every day. I appreciate how thorough they were. Great job. And my cat is starting to feel better.

I called to ask for the NEW REQUIREMENT from the CDC related to the Rabies Certificate sent by the US-accredited veterinarian to be endorsed by the USDA to import US dogs back into the USA. The African-American lady was so rude to me while I was trying to explain it was a new requirement from the CDC. In plane words she said I am wrong and they don’t provide that, then she hang up on me. She’s the one that doesn’t listen and think she knows everything. They should be watching for new regulations and be mindful of that. This place only cares about your money, not their practice.

Staff needs proper training with cats - are very aggressive compared to other places. And the vet does not explain very well. On top of not the most sanitary place - old towels with holes etc. Tho Staff did help my cat and they were attentive however.

This place needs to be shut down from the trauma they are putting these cats through. My cat is new terrified of all vets because of her experience here. The difference between how they treated her here and other places is astonishing.They held a 5 week old kitten down with their whole body weight while she was so sick couldn’t even moved. My baby had god dam nightmares after.

In short: I do not recommend this clinic. My experience was a high bill with 0 resolution and lack of professionalism.I came to this clinic on a Sunday for an emergency visit. My 10 year old cat had bladder stones in the past and her symptoms were indicating a recurrence. She was clearly in pain, constantly going to the litter box, straining and only able to pee droplets. So I wanted to act fast and help relieve her of the symptoms and make sure she didn’t have a blockage.They did X-Rays and confirmed she had bladder stones and needed to go into immediate surgery to remove it or else it could be fatal.I asked for antibiotics or at least some type of pain medication and they were not able to prescribe anything at all. I was extremely disappointed because I left the clinic minus $400, a frightening consult result and no solution other than scheduling an invasive surgery.I took her to ASPCA the next day and the doctor’s prescribed her medication to relieve her pain and symptoms plus they gave us prescription food in order to dissolve the stones. They said the invasive surgery at her age was best to leave for last/ worst case scenario. Thankfully a couple of weeks later she was stone free from the prescription diet alone.St. Mark’s clinic could not even forward the x-ray images to ASPCA that were taken just a day before even though I paid hundreds of dollars. I tried to order the prescription food from Chewy and St. Mark’s animal clinic never responded to approve the request in order to get the prescription food, even though I called and emailed several times. (I was able to get this at ASPCA in person).A month later St. Mark’s animal clinic called me to say that they received Chewy’s request for approval on the prescription food and said that I had to bring my cat back for more x-rays in order to determine her eligibility – meanwhile they said she was on the verge of dying and refused to do it when I needed them to.What’s worse – the clinic is very dirty and run down. I definitely would never schedule a surgery here. I’m glad I went to go get a second opinion.

Nia and Letty are awesome, accommodating, and very funny. I adopted my second cat from here and brought my third, a rescue, to get vaccinated and checked. The doctors are very nice and helpful.

I took my dog to this place. The only the vet knows is to charge for the service. And never gave the medical records to the insurance

Took both my kittens for their last booster shots. Easily convenient for me, clean space, and overall great staff.The ladies at the front are amazing, helpful, and friendly. The Vet as well very good and relaxed.This location isnt too crowded, but, also could depend on the time of day when you visit. I had a morning appointment and was the only one there.Highly recommend this place. Thank you.

I do not recommend this vet clinic. No resolution, different vets each time you go on a visit, your pet records are not updated by most of the techs there, not helpful or compassionate. After spending money on my cat at this place on one visit I had to go to another vet urgently to find a resolution before it got worst. Thankfully, another vet helped and my cat is doing lot better.

Fantastic place. Wonderful staff. They took both my pets in quickly when they had an intestinal blockage, took x-rays, and did everything possible to determine the safest course of action.Eventually they were able to get my dogs to pass the foreign objects without surgery.I trust these people with my pets. Theyre great people and they do a great job.

I brought my cat to get neutered and have his teeth cleaned. The customer service was more than acceptable and the receptionist was very friendly. The way they treated my cat and I made me feel comfortable and relieved. Dr Elbasty was very thorough in answering all of my questions. I was confident that I made the right decision.

An older and shorter man with an accent overcharged me 2 grand for an urgent surgery. I was desperate and didnt realize it can cost 5 times less for the same treatment. He then tried to console me by giving one night for my cat free 🙄. I give it 4 stars because my cat is alive and well, and the staff really do love the animals under their care. You can tell by the way the dogs and cats that stay overnight respond to them, and theyve been super patient with me when I would visit and have so many questions. But please be careful with which vet it is, theres another one much younger who was super kind but Ive never had him as my cats vet.

This place looks to rip you off at any cost, even if the cost is your animals well being. My boyfriend and I took his dog in for an infection; the veterinary assistant (NOT even the vet himself) looked at our dog and quickly made the diagnosis of anal abscess, okay seemed reasonable. He then went on to say that an emergency surgery was required and that we needed to leave the dog there overnight and wrote us up an estimate for $2000.The first red flag was the urgency of it. Our dog didnt seem to be in excruciating pain, only mild discomfort. When we asked if we could wait until the morning to bring him in, he quickly shot us down and looked to place blame and fear. He told us that if we waited and the infection got worse overnight and then he needed not one, BUT TWO surgeries, that it would be our fault. Seemed more like he wanted to charge us for an overnight kennel than to genuinely help our dog. He also kept adding on charges; IV, overnight stay, anesthesia, blood-work, updating vaccines, antibiotics. Ive had multiple dogs and have been to quite a few vets so I understand that just like the regular medical system, charges can add up but never have I seen a bill continually expand into so many separate categories for what seemed like a mild infection. My boyfriend and I at that point already didnt trust the situation. We were already being given a bill and yet we hadnt even seen the actual doctor.So I decided to call my usual vet (who Ive used for my two dogs) to get an estimate over the phone. On the phone they told me that IF the dog did need that type of surgery, it would come out to $800-$1000 total (NOT $2000), they also went on to say that the vet would need to look at the dog because surgery is really the last resort and might not be necessary. I told the assistant thank you but no thank you, we were just going to pay the visitation fee and go because I had gotten a better estimate from a vet whom I know and trust. We paid the bill and got ready to leave. Suddenly at the news of losing business, the ACTUAL vet finally appeared and asked to speak with us. He looked at the bill and pretended that the assistant made a mistake with the numbers. He said that the assistant overcharged and that it would be a few hundred less. How convenient that once he found out he was going to lose business the dollars suddenly melted off, what a silly mistake! Almost seems as if we not said we were leaving, he wouldve left that mistake on the bill. So yea, not buying it. The vet was rude and completely transparent in trying to rip us off. So we left to the other vet.Turns out our dog didnt even need surgery. The second vet told us that while one side was abscessed, draining and antibiotic treatment is always the first option. Surgery is always the last option, only if treatment isnt working. You could tell he cared significantly more about animals and wasnt going to risk an unnecessary surgery just to make money. He expressed the anal glands and drained/lanced the infection and pumped it with antibiotics. He sent us home with a weeks worth of antibiotics and said to come back if he wasnt better within 7-10 days. It has only been a day and he is already feeling better. This visit cost us $150 total, INSTEAD OF the $2000, which American Animal Hospital was going to charge us.Id also like to note that at the American Animal Hospital on Northern they were going to administer vaccines the same day as surgery. As my other vet pointed out, you never give vaccines to a person/animal who doesnt feel well. The same way you wouldnt take a child with a cold to get a flu shot, you wouldnt take an ill dog to get vaccines. But of course what do they care? Its entirely about being able to charge people for anything they can. Absolutely no regard for the animals health.I would give zero stars if I could.

I would have to agree with these review . Worst place ever . Some issues with the doctor always . Went in for a routine check up for my dog and the bill is never one rate always changing . I spoke with frank of which gave me less medication so I had to go on there time coming for manhattan . Spoke to a Ashley o which had to verify with frank since he cut short medication which makes me feels I was lying . The girl had the front desk couldn’t have a more attitude then myself . These people don’t understand they are not paying for my dog medication . I AM . Just be aware my experience may be different but wanted to share it so people know .

My first time there was last year and they were amazing! But this time there are not the same doctors and the assistant is who’s boss in that place. My dog was needing a medicine to stop bleeding from her mouth and the assistant refused to give me the medicine and the doctor didn’t touch the dog. Not happy with this went they did the procedure on her mouth they approached that she was sleeping to cut her nails (that I didn’t requested) Being a dog groomer for long time I knew my dogs don’t need to cut it. My dog was bleeding on all her nails!!! For long time because she cut it super short. And I call there to let them know and she just said: “I understand “? Uh!? NO PROFESSIONALISM! At allJust want to make sure no body use them no more… this place is not good they just want $ for everything and no care for the animals.

I don’t recommend this vet. Not only was the experience of the visit horrible, but I also don’t trust the treatment plan he prescribed. While I was waiting for blood results for my cat, I overheard the vet in the room next door being short and dismissive with a dog owner when she was just asking questions to try to understand the issue and recommended treatment. Save yourself and your pet, and choose another practice.

I’m only giving this place 3 stars because the vet, Dr Benyamin was really helpful with my kitten. However, be aware of what the prices. They prescribed two things, an eye ointment and supplements I could have bought from online for a total of 30$. You dont even need a so called “prescription” which they charge you for. I had to hand over $120 for things that I later found out would have been insanely cheaper.

I took my dog for an emergency and they took me in very quick and where very professional. the new owner is way different than previous owner very reliable and caring. i highly recommend this place. thank you so much to the doctor and staff.

I was there today to have my 19year old cat put to rest. He had been riddled with cancer for several months and now just seemed to be in pain. The technician and assistant (unfortunately I was too upset to get these gentlemen ‘s names) were absolutely fabulous . They gave my son and I the chance to say goodbye to our beloved family member and treated Ferguson with great care and tenderness. Thank you for helping me through a truly heart wrenching experience.

The first appointment is at 10 am on weekends but the Dr. Does not arrives until 10:15 or 10:20 which means you will never gonna be seen on time. Sometimes there is no one in the front and you have to wait until they come out from wherever they are and open the door or just answer questions.My telephone experience has been much better, they were very informative and I did feel rush. The lady who answered the phone was cordial and make sure my questions were answered.

I took my 16 year old senior dog to get her teeth cleaned. The Dr. Elbasty said that she needed to remove a lump in her stomach. For years I have left that alone but I trusted this doctor so I agreed to have it removed then without thinking a lot about it I asked the doctor to cut her hair while she is under anesthesia because she would not let me cut her hair. After the procedure, she died after 2 days. She died because of having too much anesthesia and she didn’t eat; and perhaps bad reaction to a medicine i can’t remember the name of. The doctor should have adviced me not to have the lump removed because she was old and also not have her haircut. If you have a senior dog, don’t have your dog’s teeth cleaned. They are too weak. I also had a chiuahua almost die at a different vet after a teeth cleaning.I feel betrayed from trusting this doctor. My beloved pet could have lived longer and would not have suffered like she did.

Horrible Place took our dog there because she was really sick and we did not find any other doctor that was open. When we got there the Weekend (Saturday-Sunday)Vet barely examined our dog and was very Rude yelling at us telling us if we wanted the medication or not and that if we did not leave our dog there with them to get medication on for the weekend that if the dog passed away that wasnt that vets responsibility and not his problem, extremely rude wanting to pressure us to make a decision and no supervision after 4 PM. Never let us ask a question because the vets answer was “ Are you a Doctor?” In a very rude manner. Dont ever take your cat or dog here the Weekend Vet that works there is No good. Very unprofessional, unreliable Not Recommended. Horrible service

I’m not sure why this animal hospital has so many bad reviews, I’m at serious disbelief. I’ve taken my pets here for years and have never had any issues. the service the staff and doctors provide for my pets is amazing! That’s why I always return.

I am irate. I had scheduled a 9:30am appt for my cat to get spayed today. I took an uber to the clinic and got there at around 9:25am and found it not open. It was freezing cold (37 degrees and very windy) and I waited in the area while attempting to call to see what the issue was. No one answered. I finally left after about 20mins. I kepted calling for a while and no one answered. Finally got thru to someone at 10:50am to be told that they didnt open till after 10 because someone was late. They seemed unaware that there was a 9:30am appointment and basically said they were at that point checking to see who they had to call. They apologized but didnt really sound sincere or that they even cared they had someone waiting in the freezing cold. The woman who I spoke to was more concerned about herself having to wait for the office to open. If you cant even get your office open in time for an appointment or even check if you have anyone scheduled, I dont even want to think of how careless your care can be. Extremely disappointed!Added note: their response to my review was to say I shouldve checked their hours online. So basically telling me that by me calling earlier in the week and making an appointment with them at 9:30am, which they clearly had in their appt book, it is still my fault that they didnt keep the appointment they agreed to. Wow. Even worse than I thought. I wish I could give negative stars. Extremely unprofessional!

I brought my dog here after he was clipped by Bicycle. Dr. Elbasty came right away and took great care of my puppy the same day! He was in no pain and now months later, not even a scar!!Thank you!!!

Great service, super nice people. Not only did they make my cats feels comfortable. They went above and beyond by dropping me off home (i live a few blocks from the vet) on a rainy day. Very friendly staff.

Dr. Elbasty is the best. My family been going to him for more then a decade. He really cares about your pet as much as you do and he treats you like family. He has gone above and beyond for my family pets and could never repay all he has done. If you currently go to a different vet or are looking for one for your new pet visit Dr. Elbasty and you will see the difference when you have a vet that is passionate about his work.

The Dr. has no idea what he is doing, staff have no manners as you walk in. They are not organized with their folders very pricey for little work done on my cat. What ever price he wants to charge you he does.Dirty, waiting room.

Veterinary? More like butcher slaughter house. My senior dog was unfortunately bought here for a check up of a bump he had from a previous dog bite. Dr.Elbasty insisted for him to get a surgery despite his age and unfit state of health (later revealed). I followed proper care post surgery but he developed a severe infection. I took him to another vet where they confirmed my dog had in no way been in conditions to undergo surgery. The new vet requested his surgery records so that he could treat my dog but Dr. Elbastys entire staff dodged me for 4 hours and refused to send over his clinical records. My dog shook in pain everyday after the surgery, my heart broke and at last he was put to sleep. I really hope your clinic gets shut down. This is the most unethical experience Ive ever encountered. Please do your research first before falling victim to the horror we endured with Dr. Elbasty.

This clinic operates with a sister clinic, they do not issue their own certifications and this process is fraudulent, I have been planning my trip to Hawaii with them, I did all the vaccination schedule and requirements necessary to enter Hawaii, they gave me all the documents and when I arrived in Hawaii my dog ​​was detained in quarantine because the certifications were false, they had double signatures, and at the time the Honolulu quarantine office looked for them, they disappeared.

Doctor Benjaming is amazon. He is very delicate very friendly with dogs. He helped me dog with the ear infection she had for a long time. Dr Benjamin is my fav vet.

The doctor there is such a ripoff but what veterinarian isnt? He doesnt have standard pricing for vaccines and such and makes up his pricing and what to charge you after seeing your pet and seeing to determine how much he can squeeze out of you.

Worst hospital ever, a year ago my brothers dog got sick supposedly they told him he could pick her up she was better than he gets there and turns out she had died. Inhumane now there is issues with the insurance no one responds or gives him back the money. Seriously no heart irresponsable. Dont trust them😡

Terrible place (Dont leave your animals there to do any work they dont have a good system and they mix the animals) I left my cat there to do dental work and they shave the stomach to do aporation And the worst part is they did not tell me when I picked my cat My cat was inside the carrier and still sleeping from the anesthesia so I go home and I see the stomach shave and I panic and I call the again and again and they tell me they dont know what happened, it was the weekend and they closed the business so I go there Monday and they told me they make a mistake for ddifferent cat and I asked why they didnt tell me and they told me so many different answers but me I think they didnt tell me because they want to get pay, thats my experience with this horrible place and if someone reads my experience please watch out for your animals

Today is Friday, January 29th, 2016. They say they open at 8am. But they still wasnt open at 9am. Theyre liars.

Had an emergency called in and was told to go in and once we get there they look at the dog and they don’t have a vet so I have to pay for a them to just look at the dog but not do anything this is the second time this has happened at this clinic. If you want to get ROBBED visit them.

My cat died for their negligence. just they stole my money.

DISGUSTING in both environment and behavior.Dirty and sloppy waiting room (complete with urine on the welcome mat), typos on their intake form, smelly and FILTHY exam room (used cotton swabs, fur, and gunk all over).My ordinarily sweet cat was terrified and the vet immediately insisted on sedating her. ZERO compassion, trying to minimize fear, or letting me hold her - only sedation.

DO NOT believe all the good reviews this place is getting, I’m sure it’s the staff and family posting them. There is no compassion, no respect and no empathy for you or your pets here. They just want your money regardless of the treatment being correct or incorrect. Their staff has an attitude all the time, why would you bring you pet to a place where no one cares? Working with animals isn’t a job. I have taken my dog to another vet who is compassionate and I’d recommend for others to do the same. Please save your pets from this place.

What a rubbish place, I dont understand how people like that can see animals. They almost killed my cat, they had surgery so badly that it opened and I took it and they left the wound open for 3 days and then they put something on it and it opened again and when I complained to them they came out with something else blaming me. my . I paid them a lot of money and they gave him medication that they shouldnt have given him, the other doctor told me where I took him. Please people, dont take your pets to this trashy place.

I had an appointment at 11 which I arrived 15 minutes early, I waited more than 45 minutes and they did not attend to me, a lack of respect and the unpleasant place needs more cleaning
