Lakewood Dog Park

This IS a great place to bring your dog!There is plenty of fenced space and grass for dogs to run around. Seating for people, water, & poop bags for dogs. The day we were there, we encountered friendly dogs and people.Thanks Lakewood!

Good sized park. Well maintained by local government. Gazebo, benches, picnic tables and running water. Large dog enclosure and small dog enclosure. Porta potties in parking lot. Boat launch park across street with pavilion and picnic tables. Lots of dogs come here. They are friendly and their owners are friendly.

If you bring balls. Take them back home! Some dogs choke on them. Rushing to a vet is not fun. I see them I throw out.

This is my dogs fav place to go. If we get within a 5 mile radius she can barely stand it. Too cute. She is always greeted by the Butt Smelling Committee and enjoys running as fast as she can with her friends.This park is kept clean. It has a few cans and plenty of bags for poo. It has a fountain to fill the provided bowls with water. There are picnic tables, benches, and a new gazebo.

Great place to bring your dog.

Very nice place to go with dogs, other dogs are friendly and there is a section for not so well behaved dogs but its still a nice place. There are little baggies for when your dog goes to the bathroom so thats also very helpful and a nice way to keep the place clean. Again, 10/10 would recommend!

Eh, its better than nothing. There is still no water available for dogs or humans. BYOB. Very limited seating. Very limited seating in the shade. No shelter, pavilion, or wind break. It does have 2 sections, for small n larger dogs. Plenty of parking. There is a small incline of grass to enter. Baggies are provided for picking up your dogs excrement. Some unknown genius decided to plant new trees...outside of the fences...so when the mature pine trees at gone, there will be no shade inside the fences...😩

Area for big dogs and area for small dogs.

This was first time with my small Yappy dog. We were in small chained area by ourself. Other dogs and owners were in large chained area. They were all friendly and accepting to new comers! Only sad part is there are no human restrooms/portapotty. This is a necessity.

Large area for dogs to run and play. Plenty of tennis balls that are donated. The seating area has a wind blind for these cold months. They have a separate area for smaller dogs. It seems kept up well, my only complaint would not be with facility but the other users who have allowed their pets to do their business on the benches inside.

Very friendly people, all respectful of the dogs, all engaging with all the dogs, clean, water available, bowls available, shady areas, lovely place to go!

Beautiful! My dogs were smiling as they ran. The shade from the trees and the picnic bench make it a great park. Cant wait for spring!

Great place, lots of room to run and throw some balls. All the other dogs and owners were super friendly and sociable, Juno had a lot of fun making friends.

Love to bring my dog here to socialize with other canines and tire him out. I only wish it had some kind of spring or other way to access drinking water fir the dogs.

Great enclosed safe place for your pet to run and play with other dogs. Has toys and fresh water with bowls. Couldnt be happier with this place

Love it! Large with a few picnic tables. And a vie of the Lake.Would love to see area with stone and aspiget with a hose to wash the dog@ off.

Huge open fenced-in area for the dogs !! A secondary pen for tempermental pets, or for some seperation. Tennis balls galore. The perfect place specific for a dog !!

Very nice park has two sections for the dogs that arent very sociable.

New tiny pavillion for rain coverage. Plenty of space to run and play with other dogs.

Dont take your dogs to a dog park. They will get saracoptic mange! True story and almost$300 later, he is doing well.

Loved this place until you made a rule that no kids until the age of 12 can be allowed there now. Broke my little girls heart when we showed up there just to not let her be allowed in. Terrible decision to have made.

Nice pavilion to relax in, nicely keep ground for the doggies. Nice people. All animals present were very socialized.

Theres a lot of great dogs that are friendly as well as their owners. My dogs love going there.

Nice dog park. Some shade. A few benches and room to play. Water fountain for the dogs.

I dont own a dog but the place is popular. When I drive by I see dogs there enjoying interaction.

Leave your dog and get out on the lake!

Outstanding, well-socialized dogs. Everyones got a great attitude except a few of the owners.

Dont take your pets to dog parks. Germ factories with owners who dont know nor care to know how to ccontrol their animals.

As someone who worked in a vet clinic, why would you ever bring your dog to a place full of communicable diseases?? Your dog may be fully vaccinated, but that doesnt mean that everyone elses has been or that all the dogs are friendly. I wouldnt bring my dog to a dog park, ever.

Park has two areas. Pet parents you meet are congenial. Beautiful view of lake. Picnic tables and benches. Pet toys have been left scattered around to play with. Lots of doggie scoop bags a nd receptacles

Great place for dogs & people.Biggest issues:A depression in one spot that turns into a small pool of water/mud pit.No running water, so bring a jug of water to fill the bowls that are there.

Great space to socialize your dogs and talk to other dog lovers. I wish there were more dog activity options, like tubes and climbing ramps, but it has a large fenced in area for the dogs to have space to run and play.
