My husband and I cannot thank James enough for his dedication, kindness and pure talent in training our Bernedoodle, Ernie. After our first meeting, we knew James was the right trainer for both us and Ernie. We have seen such a major change in the way he listens and his behavior generally. James makes sure you have the tools to continue to properly train and maintain all that has been instilled during the month long program. James is readily available to answer any questions and was quick to send photos and videos throughout the time Ernie was with him. My boyfriend and I adopted a high energy 8 month old Pitbull back in February. We decided to call James who was recommended to us through a friend because we couldnt gain any control over Dallas. He only listened when he wanted to and he ran the show. When we met with James he told us Dallas would benefit mostly from the 2 week board and train program and were so happy we did it! During the time Dallas was away James would always update us on how he was settling in and would post videos of his progress. When it was time for Dallas to come home we couldnt believe how well he listened to us and walked on the leash like a gentlemen. Dallas will always be a work in progress because of how high energy he is but were finally able to take control of him when needed. Our friends and family have even commented how they can see a big difference in him. Were able to let Dallas off the leash on property in upstate NY with the confidence that he will come back to us when we call him. Me and my dog Blu have had such a great experience working with James. I originally contacted a few different trainers because my dog was a terror to walk, he would bark at any passersby and god forbid we saw another dog on our walk he would go crazy and try to drag me. Being that he is a large breed dog I figured it best to nip this in the bud at a young age before he was 150 pounds and I couldn’t control him. After speaking with a few trainers I felt that James seemed the most personable and after an in person consult where my dog seemed to absolutely love him, I chose to go with him for Blus training. After even the 1st and 2nd sessions the problems had already become so much easier to handle and soon after these behaviors disappeared all together. I now have a very well-mannered dog who I can bring to the park and around other people and dogs without having to worry how he’ll act!! A lot of the training is actually training me as a handler which is something I never would have realized before I started the lessons! James is such a pleasure to work with, very flexible, so nice and my dog is absolutely obsessed with him, which is always a good sign!! Even though we have resolved blu’s original leash walking issues I still see James for sessions to work on all kinds of things with Blu. I would recommend his services to anyone with a dog!! 10/10!!

I have a high energy lab puppy that needed assistance initially with puppy biting and general impulse control, which evolved into learning not to counter surf and minimize jumping. I started with one on one training sessions and ultimately sent my dog to James’ board and train program. Over the course of 4 months I have a much larger, but well behaved dog that listens to commands and knows how to process his own energy. James teaches you how to train your dog for the long term. Highly recommend.

My wife and I brought home an 8 week oldBernese Mountain Dog and assumed he would be as docile and calm as our previous dog of the same breed, and boy were we wrong. Our puppy, Reggie wouldn’t stop biting and as the months wore on and my kids went from love to fear, we knew something had to change. I did some online research and found Dedicated Dog Training. I called James and we scheduled a meeting where he got to meet our large puppy. He told me that aggressive behavior was his specialty and he felt confident he could take the dog for 4 weeks into his home and teach him obedience and help correct the biting/mouthing.A few days later I met with James again and this time he took our dog. Throughout the time Reggie was with James we were in constant contact. James regularly updated us with videos showing us the progress that was being made. When the 4 weeks were up I met with James and Reggie came home.To say that James changed our lives would be an understatement. Friends and family that had started keeping their distance before Reggie went to James were coming to see him and they all asked us if James had given us a different dog.If you find yourself in a similar boat as us and you have an aggressive dog that needs to be trained I cannot encourage you strongly enough to call Dedicated Dog Training.

James has been absolutely incredible to work with so far. We started off with his Zoom puppy session where he spent around 2 hours going through all of my concerns with my husband and I. James was so patient, super intent on understanding and provided perfect advice that has helped us make great strides in our training of our 12 week old Golden. Since our call, James has continued to provide support, watching sample videos of issues I’m having and giving insanely prompt feedback and responses via email. I so appreciate James being one email or text away as we continue to work through puppyhood! He has been excellent and I would highly recommend him!!

I was feeling at a loss with my 1 year old dog. He is reactive towards people and other dogs. After the initial exploration call with James, I immediately felt better. We trained 1:1 with James and focused on obedience. After 3 months my dog has made so much progress. James set realistic expectations from day 1 and we have been extremely happy with the results we are seeing. You have to put in the work and train your dog at home weekly, if you are dedicated the results will follow! James is very open and honest so do not be afraid to ask questions. When you work with James it feels like you have known him for years. We are excited to see what future training holds!

We scheduled an online Zoom puppy training workshop with James, and he spent about 2 1/2 hours with us via Zoom to discuss puppy training with us, which is way more time than we expected. He was full of knowledge and suggestions, which we truly appreciated as nervous new dog owners. He followed up with a summary of everything we talked about and was quick to answer back to questions that we emailed him. I would highly recommend James and Dedicated Dog Training.

Being brand new puppy parents with not a clue as to what to do, I reached out to James after seeing the amazing reviews Dedicated Dog Training had received. We scheduled a Puppy Workshop, where James comes to our house and gives us all a general training on what to expect from our puppy and how to stop unwanted behaviors. Amazing experience with Dedicated Dog Training!! James is incredible to work with and makes you really understand why your dog is thinking/behaving the way they are. It is obvious he spent a lot of time working to improve the behavior of our 18 month old Corgi. James has been working with us and our almost 3 year old Lab for approximately 5 weeks. After the first session we saw a remarkable change in our dogs behavior. By the third and fourth session our dog, who previously did not have free run of the house, was roaming free without incident. Previously she would grab anything she could and try to eat it! Shoes, bags, pillows etc. She now simply passes those things by. She is now in the process of learning to walk on a loose leash fairly comfortably at heel. We are working with a Place command so that she no longer charges the door when company arrives. She is also working on being off leash on our property outside. James has an easy nature and a calm and consistent training method. We had used 2 other trainers in the past. There were less positive results in 12 sessions than with James in 3 sessions. Although some may find him to be a bit more expensive than some of the many trainers around, the results with our high energy lab speak volumes for his skill and talent for working with people and dogs. James really understands both. He has been able to teach the entire family how to be better dog handlers and we plan to continue our work with him for both general obedience as well as an introduction to agility training. We had James come to our house to give us some puppy training, he was great! He taught us so much in the time he was over, it was clear he is very knowledgeable and experienced. Our 4 month old hound/lab mix is very energetic and we noticed a big difference in her after one session with him! We would highly recommend him to anyone with a new pup.

This review is long overdue! We are so satisfied with the services provided by James at Dedicated Dog Training. We hired a couple other trainers in the past for basic obedience training, but when our pup was getting reactive and pulling on the leash we knew that we needed a different style of training. Friends of ours recommended using Dedicated Dog Training when I was looking for a trainer. My dog is three years old. She is so playful and lovable, but she was beginning to take over the house with her dominant, aggressive behavior. James is fabulous. He assessed her behavior and ours. He clearly loves dogs and has lots of experience. Each time he came to the house, he was positive, patient, and always professional. We practiced commands and simple techniques that were very effective. I especially like the PLACE command. Our dog no longer goes crazy when someone comes to the door. James exceeded our expectations -- he really knows what hes doing!

James is an awesome trainer! My dog suffered from separation anxiety. James gave me helpful tips and after working with my dog she improved tremendously! He also helped with other obedience training. We got our dog, a German Shepherd, having never owned a dog before. She is very sweet, but even more rambunctious and we were afraid that we were in way over our heads. All I can say is thank goodness for James at Dedicated Dog Training! James was very clear that yes, our hyper and energetic dog can be trained, BUT that we must apply what hes taught us and be consistent. That couldnt have been more true. When we were consistent, we got results. When we got lazy, we didnt. So much of dog training is counter-intuitive and somehow James has the right intuition for it because he is always spot on with regards to how to get her to follow commands while still keeping her happy. Our dog is just as sweet as when we first got her, but so much more of a joy to be around thanks to training with James.

Still going through the training, but within the first week of having James visit us and using the e-collar, we noticed a huge improvement in our [then] 4 month old german shepherd! So many big issues we had with her have gone away thanks to his tips and the commands he has taught us. I would recommend to anyone that wants to learn how to make their dog obedient and is willing to take the time to train outside of your session with James.

My boyfriend and I adopted a 3 Month Old Lab Mix puppy about 2 weeks ago. She was exhibiting signs of nipping and we wanted the behavior to be corrected as soon as possible. We found Dedicated Dog Training through Google and I couldnt be happier. We did a virtual training session Monday night and shes already doing so much better. James has helped me with my overwhelming feeling of owning a new puppy and I am eternally grateful. We will continue to training session to make sure our new pup is the best dog she can be.

I worked with James for 6 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. He is knowledgeable and reliable. He is never rushing the appointment either. He is quick to answer any calls or emails and my dog absolutely loved him. I would highly recommend him. Most importantly...you have to work with your dog AFTER James leaves too.If you think you love your dog before the training you will become so much closer with the dog after he/she is trained! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

James was absolutely wonderful. We have a 5.5yr old boxer and a 12 week old one. Two females. My husband I had some concerns over the age difference and the alpha status. James came over for the session and really took his time evaluating the dynamics of the two together. In addition, he taught us numerous skills for training the puppy and tactics to help alleviate any tension the puppy may cause our big girl. Furthermore, when I asked James about formal obedience training for the puppy he said that she was too young and if we do it now we will not be happy with the results because her attention span isnt the longest. With that response you can really tell that James cares about his reputation and not taking money from clients who will not get the results they are desiring at the incorrect time. In addition as far as time management James is amazing with always getting back to us with any questions or concerns. Emails phone calls he is extremely accessible and prompt in returning them.

By very leash reactive and aggressive dog did a month of board and train with James. The results were amazing. She is is able to walk past other dogs while on leash without a reaction. We continue to use her e-collar and work hard with her at home too. It is definitely important to follow James advice of not letting the dog sleep on the bed or go on the couch. We stopped this with our dog and noticed a huge change. Now we use the couch as a big reward. We are so thankful for dedicated dog training. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

We adopted a 6 and a half year old black English lab, who was very badly behaved. He was humping a lot and, being a very obese lab, he was very powerful. I put him in a 4 week in-house training program and shelled our $3500. He was supposed to be off-leash trained, among other things. When I got him back, he was as bad as before, if not worse. I was SO UPSET, at my wits end, and I was almost ready to return the dog back to the shelter. At the last second, I called up James. In just one session, James told me how to train him. Just as with the in-house training, we used the e-collar. By the end of the second session, the dog was walking next to me in heel position (without a leash). My last session with James was just us beating around the bush since I got what I wanted out of the dog. My dog is now just a super sweet, gentle being, who is just love incarnate. As for James.....I cannot think of a nicer, more wonderful trainer than him. He is a lot of fun to talk to, train with, and he is always there for any questions and follow-ups. TWO THUMBS UP and then some!

I recently adopted an adult dog and was looking for obedience training. James was able to provide this and more—he really went above and beyond. Magic (my dog) and I will be taking our Canine Good Citizen test as a step towards therapy work. This would not be at all possible without James’ vast expertise. Not only did he help my dog, but also coached me through training bolstering my confidence as a handler. He truly cares about his clients and it definitely shows. I am so grateful for the knowledge he has equipped me with to ensure my dog is well-behaved and has a happy, healthy life. Not only is he a fantastic trainer, he’s a fun guy to be around. I highly recommend James if you are considering any kind of dog training. I started with James when my dog was a puppy. I am a big advocate of training your dog as early as possible and James and I worked together on a weekly basis to train Cooper. Life is so much easier having a well trained dog. I constantly get compliments on how well behaved Cooper is and its all because I was determined to make sure he received the best training. Cooper hangs out in my front lawn without a leash. If his ball goes out into the street, he knows to stop at the sidewalk until someone gets it. Its hard work to train in the beginning but its all worth it later on. James can definitely help you if you need training.

Before I met James from Dedicated Dog training my German Shepherd puppy, Maya, was hard to handle. She would bark at everyone in sight during walks and was extremely stubborn when it came to listening and training. She was full of energy and would have witching hours every night where she just went wild! We met with a couple of trainers, but after our evaluation with James we knew that he was the right trainer for our dog. After the first session with James there was an immediate change in my relationship with Maya. He showed me how to correct her properly with the right collar and a more stern and confident attitude. After each session he would outline everything we went over in an email which was very helpful when it came to training her alone. His knowledge and specific plan for Maya has helped me tremendously in training her. Now, at only 7 months old, Maya is becoming an extraordinary dog! Once respect and trust was established between me and Maya, all of the bad things started to go away. No more barking, not listening, or witching hours! Now I can walk her (off leash too!) and she will not leave my side or get distracted. I look forward to continuing my sessions with James and eventually moving up to more advanced training with Maya. Dedicated Dog Training was probably one of the best things we could have done for our pup Sadie. Before the few lessons, Sadie was constantly jumping on people, counter surfing, and pulling on the leash as we walked. She wouldnt stop barking and she definitely was showing that she was in control of us. James, our trainer, is a real miracle worker! In just a few lessons he has showed us how to become better dog owners and helped us understand Sadie so we can have a better relationship. With that, Sadie has been very responsive and and so loving. She has shown huge progress and hasnt really done anything we have had problems with before we met James. I would recommend the Dedicated Dog Training team to anyone because they will go out of their way to really help the dog and make their customers happy. More importantly, James really showed us he cared for the dog and wasnt just doing it because its his job.

James and Tara are warm wonderful people who are great with dogs. James trained our spirited Bernese Mountain dog as a puppy. He is now a well trained 3 year old . We had an absolutely amazing experience with with James at Dedicated Dog Training! We have a VERY high energy 10 month old German Shorthaired pointer who likes to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. It was impossible for me to get him to sit for any length of time, let alone lay down and stay. I was unable to walk him on a leash because he was to strong. He stayed with James for two weeks and came back a new boy! He is still my sweet mushy fella but he actually listens to me! We go on multiple walks a day and I don’t have to worry about him taking me down! So grateful for James teaching both myself and Bruce the skills he needed to be a better pup!

I contacted James at Dedicated Dog Training almost a year ago to take care of my Jake when we went away. My husband and I felt very comfortable leaving Jake in James care.After trying a couple of dog trainers to help me work with Jakes leash reactivity to dogs, I contacted James for his help - this time as a trainer.The change in Jake has been nothing short of amazing. With James knowledge, experience and guidance we were able to implement a behavior modification and management program that would work for Jake. And It sure did!!James took the time to evaluate Jake and come up with a program for Jake and I to follow. He explained things thoroughly AND then followed up with an email detailing the steps (we all know how hard it is to remember everything during the session so this is extremely helpful).I could go on, but I wont. I think you get the idea of how pleased we are with James and Dedicated Dog Training. Jake and I are both looking to continuing our education and improving our relationship.

James is a miracle worker. We called him desperate for help when our 8 month old goldendoodle became aggressive and we needed immediate intervention before one of our kids got seriously hurt. He came right away for a consultation and the next day we signed up for board and train. It was a difficult decision but the right one for our family. James promised we would get an amazing lovable obedient puppy back and thats exactly what happened. Our house is 100% back to normal and we no longer live in fear of what could happen if we turn our back for a minute. Big shout out to Dedicated Dog Training. This is the second dog James has trained for us and the transformation both times has been remarkable. In both cases, the dogs were wild, sprinting out the door and leading us on hour long chases through the neighborhood, chewing things they shouldnt be, etc. We were at our wits end and sent the pups off to James. Even years later (for our first dog) the training still sticks. James has been a godsend! He has such a deep understanding of canine natural instincts and he focuses on training that develops long term good behavior, not necessarily the “quick fix.” His calm and confident advice has helped us with our new puppy and I look forward to continuing the puppy workshops (and beyond) to establish good training techniques.

James does such an amazing job with our pup! Not only is he great with her but he also puts everything he teaches into terms that my husband & I can understand. We have been working with James for several weeks now to help us better understand our very energetic 8 month old male boxer puppy Mickey! We had jumping, begging, chewing and all sorts of puppy chaos running amok in our home! Hello Folks, I first met James of Dedicated Dog Training back in October. I had a behavior problem with an 8 yr. old Pit mix Marshal I live with. He began charging our fence whenever anyone would walk by. Barking and being rude. My thoughts were maybe James could help. Had my doubts, only because Marshal was 8 yrs old. James met with Marshal and I for an evaluation. Seemed confident that he could help us. James explained I would need to train each day to see results. He gave me a homework assignment and we began. It only took two weeks to see major improvement with our behavior issue. And now it is just a vague memory.James has met with Marshal and I once a week since and the results were amazing. Soon we began meeting at a local dog park to begin training Marshal to heel, sit with implied stay, come on command and place commands. As you may imagine, the local dog park provides plenty of distractions.What I never imagined when we began was how much fun my dog and I would be having. And we are having a blast. And now Marshal heels beautifully with no leash.Other people now comment on how well trained my dog is. Makes me really proud. My goofy Marshal being noticed for his great behavior. James is great. I recommend James and his Dedicated Dog Training services to anyone interested in having a dog they can be proud of, and have fun with. And for your own sake, dont think your dog is too old. My wife and I had signed our 14 month old frenchie, Bernie, up for a 2 week boot camp with James at DDT. We wanted Bernie to listen better and to behave around small children. He would get easily excited and that scared us because we just had a child and would not want to ever take any chances.After Bernies 2.5 week stint at the boot camp, he came back and was fixed!I was concerned that he would become depressed and mad at us. This was not the case at all. He is still the same Bernie, but with much better manners.I cannot recommend Dedicated Dog Training enough. James takes the dogs into his home as if they are his own and interacts them with his entire family.5 starts all the way!!

My husband and I are happy to recommend James of Dedicated Dog Training. I have had a dog my whole life but when I got my new puppy, Vinny, all my thoughts of how to handle a new puppy went out the window. Trying to keep my nine year old pug happy, I was not really training Vinny the way a puppy should be trained. James taught me how to be stern rather than a mush. He convinced me the collar was the right thing for training Vinny that would stop him from jumping and running wild. I now have a cute puppy who is well on his way to becoming a well behaved puppy too thanks to James.

My wife and I were interested in hiring a dog trainer for our 8 month old yellow lab Jax. Dedicated Dog Training was highly recommended to us by a friend whos yellow lab was part of their 3 week board and train program. We were all set to send Jax away for 3 weeks until James came to our home for a consultation. He asked us what were the issues we were having with Jax. After quickly evaluating Jax James told us that we did not need to board Jax to fix these issues. James recommended 2-3 private training lessons that would work. James came for the first lesson and started to train us on how to train our dog. After the first lesson we were very impressed with the technics used and could not believe the immediate impacts that 1 lesson could have. James sent me several text during that week to see if I had any questions from our lesson and to see how Jax was responding. It has since been 3 weeks and thanks to James and Dedicated Dog Training Jax has become a bigger part our family. When you have an 8 month old extremely hyper dog that loves to eat your kids toys, jump on the couch and take you for a walk it is not enjoyable. I highly recommend Dedicated Dog Training as they are reliable, have great training techniques and for the fact that we was honest. We were willing to pay for the full board and train program but James wouldnt let us do that when all we needed was a few private lessons.

I heard about James through a co worker whom had her dog transformed during his boot camp training. I then called him for training for my hyperactive German Shepherd. At the time she was 1 year old. Private training with James made such a difference with my Rexie and he proved himself very knowledgeable and professional in what he does. Rexie is now able to heel nicely and follow commands. I would highly recommend James!

My puppy Laila just got back from training at Dedicated Dog Training. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the results!! James the trainer was great with her. She went from not being able to walk on a leash without stopping every 5 seconds and eating every rock and twig in sight to walking and heeling like a pro. What a difference no more pulling. We were also to able to eat a meal without her jumping on us and begging at the table. She went to her place and stayed there for the entire meal. Amazing!! I highly reccomend Dedicated Dog Training. We got video updates of our puppy from James while she was in training and she seemed very happy. James explained everything in detail when she was returned and I feel confident that we will be able to continue and maintain what Laila has learned.

We sent our year old goldendoodle to James for a few reasons. We wanted her to listen better and she was just uncontrollable sometimes. He was amazing in what he taught her and how she returned home to us. She is a different dog. She is now calm and mellow and hangs out with us like a family and plays like she should in the appropriate times. James makes you feel very comfortable leaving your dog with him. Ginja, our puppy, loves being there and became friends with his dogs. He makes all the dogs feel part of his family which is very important to us. WOWOWOWOW! I cannot stop talking about the change in my 25 pound, 8 month old Pomski, Miles.Before James came to evaluate Miles, I was having a very very hard time with him. Although he was exhibiting all typical puppy behaviors (constant biting, barking, and difficulty walking on a leash), his spunk and unlimited amount of energy made it so difficult to train him. I did a 4 session training class at a local pet store, and it worked in the store but not at home. Although it allowed Miles more dog socialization time, it was not what I was looking for in the long run. I was at such a loss and was ready to throw in the towel the night Miles ran away from me and did not obey his come command that he aced at his training sessions.I thought hope was lost forever until I found the website for Dedicated Dog Training.The first thing I saw when I entered the site was a dog walking and obeying his trainer without a leash in a very busy atmosphere. I couldnt believe it. Then I read the abudance of positive reviews and decided to call. James got back to me rather quickly and we set up an evaluation time and day. James came to evaluate if Miles was trainable, and I saw a difference in Miles in minutes. James is so incredibly dedicated to this profession and in educating the owners, as well. I felt more than comfortable in putting my dog in his care for two weeks. So, a week after the evaluation, James came to get Miles for his training.I packed up Miles food for three weeks and a toy he enjoys. James let me have a moment to say goodbye, and Miles went with him without any hesitation. Although it was difficult leaving him, I knew it was for the best. James e-mailed me almost every day updating me on Miles progress. After about a week of training, James started e-mailing me videos of Miles and posted some on the Dedicated Dog Training Facebook page. I could not believe my eyes (or thought they got a puppy stunt double- haha). Miles was obeying James commands to sit, stay, and walk right by his left side without a leash!!!! The best part was that James then compiled all of Miles accomplishments in a video set to the tune of Eye of the Tiger. It was absolutely unreal and further bolstered my happiness with my decision to let James train Miles. James even kept him for an extra week (with no extra charge) to make Miles even better in obeying his commands.When the day finally came for Miles to come back, James worked around my schedule and stayed until he knew I felt comfortable with everything (2 extra hours). James taught me every command and ensured that I understood how to execute the commands and the rationale behind each one. He taught me how to use the collar correctly and even let me feel it to put me at ease that it does not hurt Miles one bit. James then presented Miles with an extra prong collar, the Dogtra remote controlled collar, and a new dog bed! James has a great way of explaining why anything having to do with dog training works. Both Miles and I were sad to see him leave, but we were both more than confident that this behavior would continue to be great. James also assured me that he is only an e-mail away. James truly is one-of-a-kind, and thanks to him, now Miles is the talk of the town!I walk him regularly following all of the come, sit, heel, and no commands. Miles is so well trained now that people ask me if Im his dog trainer! I would reccommend Dedicated Dog Training to absolutely anyone! I will forever feel grateful and happy that I came across this website and was blessed to have James take such good care of my Miles.

My 15 month old Pekingese-shihtzu mix, Fredo, was running our household and lives. He made it clear that he was the boss and didnt listen to any commands which I realize now is because I had no clue how to train him properly. We couldnt eat in peace without him begging and jumping for food, couldnt have visitors due to his excessive barking, jumping, and fear aggression behaviors. He chewed up furtniture and stole socks regularly. We were at a loss. I had gone to one trainer who really didnt teach me or Fredo anything and thats when some googling led me to James. I read the reviews, watched some videos he had posted, and reviewed the programs he offered. James explained everything over the phone and set up a consultation to come meet Fredo. Upon consultation, it was clear that Fredo needed the board and train program so James came to pick him up the following week and although I was sad to see him go I knew the training would help Fredo and my family have a better life. However, Fredos at home misbehaving issues did not occur while with James. He was there about a week before James decided Fredo wasnt warming up enough in order to get any results. James dropped him off (didnt charge me a dime even though he cared for my dog for an entire week) and we set up a private lesson where Fredo could learn in the comforts of his own home. The private lesson took 2 hours, James taught us how to control Fredos behaviors and teach him many commands with the help of the e-collar. We are about 6 weeks since that lesson and Fredo has improved greatly. As long as you maintain the training James instills you can guarantee you will have positive results. Aside from being a great and knowledgeable dog trainer, James is extremely honest and personable. The moment you meet him you know you can trust your dog in his care. I HIGHLY recommend his services, he is awesome!

Dedicated dog training was the best decision! Being that my Pomsky is very smart, he would test me a lot and not listen. He would constantly pull me on walks, try and chase any squirrel, dog or person he saw, and make walking him unbearable. After sending him to dedicated dog training for 3 weeks, he came back like the best boy! When I travel with him to the airport, people comment all the time on how well behaved he is. I take him for walks now and he stands right by my side, I even take him to the open park up the block with no leash! I Have recommended and will continue to recommend dedicated dog training to all of my friends :)

I just want to say that Dedicated Dog Training was wonderful, they had helped my son and I with our new puppy. Gave us wonderful training and methods to use with our puppy and they are working. I also want to add that they are great at getting back to you within 24 hours or less when you contact them. I would definetely recommend them to my friends and family if needed.

Our 1 1/2 year old bichon/shih tzu was in need of training due to her high energy level/hyper-activeness. She was in constant motion and although a very loving and sweet dog, she would just not listen. Our dog was with James for three weeks, and came back to us with the ability to successfully follow heel, come, place, and, sit (none of which my husband or myself could previously accomplish). We have been so happy to see that we still have our loving, playful dog, but one who listens when it is time to listen. We have also noticed her behavior in general to be better (not always looking to get into trouble, leaves our cat alone, and lets us put on her collar/leash). James is very knowledgeable and professional and spent a significant amount of time answering our questions/providing us with advice regarding training. My husband and myself would highly recommend Dedicated Dog Training!

DEDICATED DOG IS THE BEST!We have a very big dog, he is very sweet BUT it was impossible to walk him, he is very strong and he was dragging us around. We could not open the front door without him trying to bolt out of the door.We send our dog Bosch to Dog Training while I was giving birth to our twins, we thought that was perfect timing because we would be out of the house for a while - and Bosch would be in training and being taken care of while I am recovering at home,Bosch came back after 2 weeks and we were amazed on how WELL BEHAVED he is right now! I can finally walk him and I can even walk him OFF LEASH and he will just stay right next to me glued to my left side, He will listen to me on the first time I give him a command and thats so important! Specially in a house with 2 new born.I am sooooo thankful James did a great job with our dog, I can relax now and and enjoy my new family and my NEW AND IMPROVED DOG!THANK YOU JAMES!Today when dry cleaning knocked at the door for pick up, I gave Bosch the place command and he went without a fuss and stayed in his place until I told him he could get out. The door was wide open there was distractions with the kids crying and the guy at the door but my dog just stayed there and waited. That was soooooooooooo good! If feels so good to be able to open the door and any time we want and know the Bosch will not run away.I recommend Dedicated Dog Training to everyone!

We entrusted James with Zoe, our 7 month old Shitzu/Bishon mix in February. Zoe stayed in his care for 3 weeks (due to the frigid temps we all agreed 1 more week would be beneficial). We initially wanted James to work on indoor/weewee pad training and general commands/discipline. With James guidance we decided to train Zoe to go outside....we couldnt be happier! With the use of the ecollar, Zoe listens to commands ( stay, place and come) and has had little to no accidents in the house. I should note, that the accidents were do to our lack of watching her. Zoe is still a work in progress, but we are extremely happy with Dedicated Dog Training,

I just adopted a Pit Mix and I have a senior Husky in my home. My Husky was having difficulty in accepting the new dog on her turf. I tried on my own to get them to get along. I knew I needed help with this, so I reached out to Dedicated Dog training, They were at my house within a few days of me contacting them.I got so much information out of that hour+ evaluation. I highly recommend Dedicated Dog Training. They trained our puppy Buns for 5 weeks and there is a huge change in the commands and behavior. Buns listens when given a command and even walks leash-less now. In the 5 weeks, he learned how to sit, place, come, stay, heel, and manage his barking. Buns had a great time at training & the results are proven! We highly recommend Dedicated Dog Training!

Outstanding service, honest trainers who really know how to help you with your dogs. From the moment the trainer arrived he immediately gave us valuable advice for potty training our dogs, and followed up very quickly with an e-mail outlining the approach we should continue to take with our two yorkies! Our rescue Vizsla, Kai, came to live with us at two years old and he had very bad manners and a bad attitude to boot. After boarding and training with Dedicated Dog training and working with them to learn how to keep up his training, we now have a wonderful family dog. We board both our vizslas, Kai (now 6) and Mika (3) with Dedicated Dog Training every time we travel. Would not leave them with anyone else! Highly recommended.

Our Jocko Tucker was labeled as CRAZY buy another trainer that we had hired. Jocko was then 5 months old. After about 5 weeks we decided to reach out to James. We can not say enough or thank James enough for his compassion, help & what he has done with our Jocko. Jocko went for the 4 week board & train. During his 4 week stay James sent videos of Jockos progress & kept us updated on everything with him. The weekly lessons after board & train are an extra treat for us. (which are included in the price). We find them to be so helpful & for James to correct anything we maybe doing wrong. Plus Jocko loves seeing his best friend! Jocko now loves car rides, walks without distraction, we are able to have him lay down stay & us walk away till we say come...its just amazing that our puppy who was labeled CRAZY is now a lovable, enjoyable Lab. The story starts with my wife luckily finding James and Dedicated Dog Training via a Google search. From the very beginning, James has been approachable, understanding, patient, and as the name suggests, dedicated in helping us tame our 1 year old HIGH ENERGY Golden Doodle. We opted for the private lessons at a very reasonable cost. At the very first session James was able to get to know our dog and get control of the situation very easily. To say he knows his stuff, is a complete understatement. He didnt just tell us what to do, he explained the process so that we could better apply the techniques. With each session we have noticed a very large improvement in our pups behavior. James is very accommodating. Its a shame we can only rate them 5 stars.

We reached out to James at Dedicated Dog Training to help us with our 4-year old pit Layla. She is so sweet around people, but showed a ton of aggression towards dogs. It was to the point that we didn’t think we could ever take her on walks. We are beyond happy with the help we received. James was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and honest. What James of Dedicated Dog Training has accomplished with our dogs is nothing short of a miracle. We handed over two very sweet but unruly puppies -Chloe, a 1 1/2 year old Great Dane and Max, a 6 month old Siberian Husky - what we got on their return were two very different dogs. James dog training techniques were very effective as he helped me navigate training a new puppy along with my six year old poodle. Dealing with two dogs was challenging, but James made it easy!

Before Dedicated Dog Training, everything from walking, to free run time in the yard with my buddy Ruckus was a nightmare. Walking was more like DRAGGING and free time to run in the yard I dreaded!! It was a all day event just trying to get him back in, or under my control. The one thing I FEARED most was Ruckus getting out in the front of the house!! I worried he wouldnt come when I called and keep running, or worse like get hit by a car!! After being boarded and Trained with my new Dedicated Dog Training family, Ruckus is a new dog, still with my buddys awesome personality I cannot live without!! I just enjoy my time with him so much more, because all my fears are over!! Ruckus comes when he is called, we walk nicely together, and I can give him the freedom to run and be a dog, with the confidence he will come back when he is called!!!
