Poochie Parlor

I always take my dog to get groomed at poochie parlor! They’re great and always have him looking perfect. I do wish they accepted card instead of only cash or check.

Carole and her staff are wonderful. They provided clear & seamless communication, they treated my pup like their own and most importantly, they did a great job grooming Rosie. The experience was great for my dog as well! She didnt want to leave when it was time to pick her up :)

We’ve been coming to the Poochie Parlor since Charlie was a puppy , and I would never bring my dogs anywhere else! Carole puts up with my still crazy 14 year old boy and is amazingly able to give him a gorgeous cut, as well as his sister Roxie. She is patient and caring as is her whole staff. Highly recommend!

Jen and all the staff at Poochie Parlor are great. My dog is very nervous in almost all situations, Jen has the magic touch! Not only does Joonie look adorable, but she is happy and comfortable in their care. Would highly recommend!

Worst experience I have ever had as a Dog Owner. Poochie Parlor does not disclosed limited form of payment until you arrive to drop off your dogs. No mentioned on website or Instagram or even in store in writing. I had no issues with paying cash, however, its about the business principle for me. As a consumer, I should have been aware earlier of payment policies in which each business is entitled to, but transparency is key on website, social media platform, or even when making the appointment etc.Carol, the owner was very rude, arrogant, defensive and unprofessional, and it did not take but a minute to realize my support for her business did not matter, once I expressed transparency policies to her.To add insult to injury, she stated if I cant afford it, to come take my 2 dogs and go. As a African American, spoken to that why by a Caucasian owner, is condescending, as Carol automatically, assumed I could not afford service, which is a form racism. I am disgusted and disappointment with the treatment my dogs and I experience at Poochie ParlorAmanda and Lisa, though you had no power, as you are not the owners, thanks for your professionalism.

The manager is very rude . Carol the owner was horrible. Doesn’t know how to speak to clients. Was extremely unprofessional and rude. Has no respect for the customers or the puppies. I would never bring my puppies here again!!!!!

It was our first time for our 2 dogs grooming. Excellent place, professional staff. GREAT JOB !! Thank you Amanda and team! I will definitely will come again and highly recommend to my friends.

We have been bringing our Gizzy here for about 4 years now, and we love the staff there. They are very accommodating to appointment needs and are super friendly. Jen holds a special place in Gizzys heart tooshe takes care of her so well. Great place to bring your fur babies!

The owner Carol is racist. Because we are black she assumed that we couldn’t afford to pay for the services. Was very rude and made us uncomfortable. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Took my dog here staff very courteous. They washed and cut my dogs 🐕 hair and nails.

Have been taking my Irish doodle there for 2 years now. They have always done what Ive asked - they always make her look cute and beautiful! They have a very friendly staff and great service. Shes usually finished in about 2.5 hours. Love, love poochie parlor!!!

Took my two dogs there a month ago. The shampoo they used made them itch really bad and I realized they had cut my shih tzu because he is black I didn’t notice scabs all over his body until I went to play with him. I should have known better not to bring them because my shih tzu had no problems going to the groomers and the day I dropped him off to Poochie Parlor he was so scared to go in and he was never like that and it wasn’t the first time me using Poochie Parlor. I’ve brought them the like 3 time before and had no problems. Now I Wont be bringing my dogs back there no more. Very disappointing.

I took my bansenji, which is a short hair breed, here to get washed and dried. I pick him up to find a huge chunk of his hair missing and a scratch. I demanded explanations and no one could tell me anything. They acted like they didnt even care I was upset. How can you not know what happened? This is your job to groom and take care of dogs while in youre establishment. No one offered me anything not even an apology. I strongly recommend you take your animals elsewhere

Wow!! We follow this buz from their Baldwin former location. We did try another but was not satisfied since our experience with Poochie the 1st time. Now we are back and never being happier. They do as you wish otherwise they tell you before leaving your furry buddy. You get what you pay for. Period!!!!!

Best groomers on Long Island. Friendly staff, and my 2 Golden Retrievers always looks great when I pick them up. Only people I will trust with my boys.

This place is such a cute decorated spot and the groomer Amanda is amazing shes definitely a great asset to poochoe parlor very attentive and listens to the details you ask for your furry friend and when I came she communicated to me when he was ready for me to pick him up and when I came , my reaction was OMGGGGGGGGG !!!!!!!!!! HE LOOKED AMAZING and I could tell he felt amazing he was showing himself off and he was so happy around Amanda, I trust her with my eyes closed.... please if you have a pet trust me when I say you will be very pleased with everything service, attention to detail and the fact you can tell ppl that love what they do ! Thankyou !!!

Awesome place for your dog to be groomer and treated properly. All staff is very experienced each carrying a decade or more under their belt . Prices are low but quality is not!

They always do a great job, they cater to each dogs needs and most importantly you can trust them with your dog and feel good about leaving them there.

My Bailey was always afraid to go to the groomer. I started taking her to poochie parlor when it was in Oceanside. She loved going. Sharon has been our go to person since after they moved to Baldwin. People will always find something to complain about. Hair grows back but most importantly I know my dog is safe and not scared to be left somewhere. She loves her groomer. Love you Sharon. Took my dog here for years til he was 19 and they always took such great care of him and gave him excellent haircuts! Now I bring my cat to be fully shaved and they do an amazing job! Shes comes home happy every time! Highly recommend!
