Best In Show Pet Resort

We just love Best in Show Pet Resort! Our little puppy girl is turning 15 in 2 weeks, and she has been going there since she was 6 months old, almost the entire time they (and she) have been around! Maxie loves play groups with all her friends, she loves all the staff there, they treat her amazingly well, and they post photos every day on Facebook, so we get to see her playing and having fun while she is there (and we are not)! They offer daycare, boarding, grooming, and sell cute products and treats! We highly recommend Best In Show Pet Resort!

Best in Show Pet Resort has been our choice for doggie day care and boarding since our wheaten Charlie was 8 months old. We have been loyal Best in Show customers for almost 7 years.The staff is always so caring, loving and welcoming. You could see it when you walk in to the establishment. Always clean, friendly staff welcoming when entering and prompt return of your pet at the end of their stay.Charlie is always so excited when going for doggie daycare, enters daycare or boarding happy and when I pick him up at the end of the day, is even happier.They really take care of our pets, as if it was one of theirs. I would not trust anyone else with Charlie’s care.

Best in Show was suggested to me from a friend who loves her pooch VERY much, so I trusted her judgement. My is dog VERY happy seeing all the other dogs every day! Her temperament is calm and she doesnt come home smelling like a vets office. The prices at Best in Show are extremely affordable! Highly recommend!!!

I am a dog owner from Williston Park and have been using Best in Show for many years ( probably ten) Inam now planning on boarding my current dog there this weekI have had great experience with them and my old dog loved it there. They were very kind and loving with him ( especially in his later years)I always felt safe and secure with staff and managementHighly recommend

First time for us boarding our 3 dogs at Best In Show. Although its more costly (especially with 3), it was the best decision. They were able to stay together in the Presidential Suite instead of separate runs, so there was less stress on them, since they are never really separated, other than boarding. One of our guys is loud & mouthy when he plays, so we just had all 3 do individual play (together), instead of 2 going into group play, & the other one not being able to. The daily pictures we saw on Facebook of playtime, made us feel at ease that they were being well cared for, & happy. I didnt even feel the need to call every day (which I normally would).We were happy when we picked them up (today) that all their toys were there, & all of our instructions on what they get as far as their normal daily treat were followed, which has sometimes lacked at our other boarding.The (all) staff its excellent with the dogs, & accommodating to our dogs needs. Also Super comforting for us that there is someone there all night, every night.We highly recommend Best In Show, for boarding.

I had the pleasure in visiting and viewing the Best in Show Pet Resort facility today for the first time. As a first time pet owner, I wanted my pet to be safe, secure and to feel comfortable. Dylan showed us around and informed us of the many amenities that the pet resort has to offer. I was very impressed with the staff members and cleanliness of the facility. Most importantly, they were well organized and answer all of my questions.

The staff are fantastic. They always greet my fur baby warmly. She has attachment issues but is happy to go in with the staff and let them pick her up which is huge with her. I highly recommend! We use them for boarding and daycare services.

Best in Show Pet Resort is the greatest place to board your cat, or any other animal. I was so worried about leaving my beloved pet cat for two weeks because he is very social and also loves going in and out of the house when desired. They have special sessions to allow your cat to run around in a gym and also spend time in a cuddle and brush session. It was so great that they took pictures of the sessions, which they post on Facebook. It reassured me greatly, seeing my cat with his tail up and looking content. When we picked him up he was none worse for wear, and completely fine.This is the third time weve boarded our cat at Best in Show and Im so grateful to have found this pet resort which leaves me worry free so I can enjoy my vacation time knowing my pet is in the best of hands.

Took us on very short notice, pretty much walk-in basis.Our dog is usually shy about new places, but was perfectly at ease at Pet Resort!The staff was friendly and helpful. Great experience!

My dog loves Best in Show. She has been going for about 6 years. I love how excited the staff gets when we walk in. Everyone who works there is so caring and kind and I know they truly care about my dog. Not only does my dog love daycare but she loves the theme party events. Whenever I go away my dog stays here. The best part is I never have to work about my dog when I am away on vacation. I highly recommend Best in Show and truly appreciate everyone who works there! I am forever thankful to you all!

We were going to leave Trina at a different pet hotel for a week while we were on a cruise. Unfortunately Trina has an ear infection which requires that she be on medication and the other place refused to board her.Best in Show Pet Resort agreed to board her and give her meds.I was still very nervous about leaving Trina in an unfamiliar place, even though they assured me that she would be fine.During my vacation I received updates and pictures of how my dog was doing and was also able to see her photos resots Facebook page.When we picked Trina up she happily run towards me and appeared fine which makes me so happy 😊❤️

I highly recommend Best in Show pet daycare/resort. It is like a second home for dogs!Firstly, the location of the pet resort is excellent with a large parking lot right in front, which is very convenient to pick up and drop off. The management is very organized and the staff are extremely friendly. Accommodations for the dogs are also very spacious. They keep in contact with the owners, so when I leave my dog at this resort, I hardly have to worry and can travel with peace of mind.My dog has made many good friends there and get excited every time when I mention going to Best in Show. He even jumped into the car by himself.It is great that you can book online!!I highly recommend this dog resort and daycare.

Great place to bring your dog! Very attentive.My puppy doesn’t do well with other dogs, but they are great with catering to her needs and giving her tons of love while I’m away!

The staff is outstanding. The activities that are scheduled are unique and sets the bar for pet care on Long Island. Cody’s loves it here.

Eileen took her time to explain how the building functions with the staff and animals. She answered all my questions. She made me want to leave my dog with hesitation. Billy gave a tour and explained things throughly. He also answered all our questions with hesitation. Looking forward to bringing my dog there for some interactive play time and make new friends.

The staff is extremely helpful and courteous highly recommend keeping your dogs here. My two Frenchies when I come to drop them off around the corner and go nuts to get inside the door.

I boarded my dog at Best in Show Pet Resort last weekend and I was so happy with the service and how well they treated my dog. I have an older dog that requires individual care and they provided the additional care that she needed. Previously, I had boarded her at a different facility and both times I picked her up, she had diarrhea for several days after she came home. I believe she had the diarrhea because that facility would not take her outside, but at Best in Show they happily agreed to take her outside. After boarding at Best in Show, she came home happy and with no diarrhea. I would recommend Best in Show to any dog owner.

They take great care! With boarding, there are playgroups, and the fun our dog has there makes us feel much better about having to leave her when were away. The attached photo shows her right up front, having a great time playing while at Best in Show.Theyre not the least expensive option around, but you get what you pay for! The dogs are well cared for and kept safe, as well as getting activity and having fun. Were glad we found Best in Show!

My dog has trouble adjusting to new places. Had tried several day cares prior to this one and always had to pick her up because she was so anxious. At Best in Show not only did she stay, she boarded and is always looking to run to daycare to have some fun! Staff is amazing and keeps you up to date on the progress of your dog. Highly recommend!

The staff at Best in Show are focused on the wellbeing of all the pets they care for. The facility is clean and well kept. From daycare to boarding, they are top notch. True animal lovers one and all. When you cant take your pets with you, you can be sure that theyll be well taken care of at Best In Show.

I highly recommend this place. Its not cheap- but they are clean, friendly, organized and came highly recommended to me by friends that have used them. I left my husky here for 10 days. I was able to see him on their facebook page while i was gone. I liked that. I would have given them a 5 star- but the pickup could have been more informative. for example. I gave them so much food for my dog. Its expensive food. Cans, sardines cans, dry foods, treats etc. I thought at least half of that would come home with me. However, they just said he ate it all. I was expecting a written report card type since they are supposed to be held to higher standards. The last place I used was alot more thorough. When i took him home he didnt eat for 2 days so i highly doubt he ate that much. Previously to the boarding he hardly ate either so ... Im not sure i believe that he ate all the foods and treats. I also noticed that they never responded to a question I asked on facebook. Those little things are important when one is away and worried or missing their pet which is like family. Maybe they can consider those things as suggestions for improvement. Anyway- Im thankful they were there to care for my husky.

Overnight stay for my rescue husky mix . All went well. Process to check in very easy online. Saves time when arriving. She is a somewhat anxious dog and doesnt do well with other dogs so I dont have her in group play.Used to board my other dog who had varied behavioral issues and there was never a problem. Highly recommend!!!🐕‍🦺

The girls came home happy and healthy; with clean, freshly combed coats.While at sea, using the ships wifi to check facebook and see the girls became my boyfriend’s and my nightly ritual. We were so excited to see their faces.The team was quick to respond to any questions either over the phone or by text messaging, and each day they post photos of the pets in their care on their facebook page. It was amazing to see their faces even while so far out of the U.S..I can’t wait to use you guys again for daycare or boarding. Thank you so much.

Such a great place to leave your dog and not worry.I dropped my dog at 9 am for meet and greet and picked him up at 2.30pm. I was very surprised to see my dog happy and relaxed walking towards me, usually it’s a huge drama for him. Looking forward to bring him there and know that he is safe, well take cared and happy.Thank you.

Picked up my 2 labs after spending 8 days at the resort. They seemed to have a great time. I also had my older cat stay. This was her first time away from home and she adjusted beautifully. Loved seeing them all on FB. All 3 came home calm and happy as if they never left home. Thank you all for taking such great care of my fur baby’s

Amazing place, very clean, great caretakers, Daniel and entire reception staff always greet Jaxon and my family with a smile. I feel very at ease leaving him there for daycare as well as boarding. Also wonderful is they have a veterinarian practice in the same building if G-d forbid something happens. 🐶😁🤩

This was our first visit and we could not be happier. Luke was greeted with a kind staff member and instant cuddles. His care was reviewed prior to us leaving. When we picked Luke up two nights later, he was happy, clean and received a stellar report. We will definitely be returning.

Went to see if we would board our dog there, it was nice and clean and the staff was lovely, went back again for day are and grooming. He loves it there.

I could write many pages about how amazing Best in Show is; I have been a customer since they opened their doors. It is absolutely the best place to leave your babies while youre away. Best in Show treats your fur baby as their own. My Johnny Cash loves, loves, loves the staff and all of his friends in play group. They are not only amazing and loving with my baby boy, they treat me like family too.

Another happy time for my little dog. He had a ball. I think I even saw him on Facebook playing with the other dogs. I had to go out of town and now I no longer have to worry about Archie. He is in very good hands. Thanks again for taking care of my baby.

Excellent staff. From the receptionist’s to the staff to the groomer, everyone was so great. My baby had her meet and greet and they let me know exactly how everything went. She had a bath and came out beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Boarded my girlfriend’s dog here.Never again.During the tour only the first floor of the building was shown to us. They have one of their workers clean up right before you’re guided along. Dogs dont have enough clean water unless the workers make the effort to walk around the entire building and fill them up individually, which they rarely do, as seen on the tour.The workers are thrown into the playgroups with little training or knowledge on dog behavior. They can’t control the dogs in the room; a clear lack of care was evident from what we saw from the viewing window in the lobby.And playgroups are shorter than you think despite all they tell you. Your dog will be in a small run for most of their stay. The “temperament test” they do on your dog is a literal joke. They simply are not educated well enough on dog behavior. The playrooms at BISPR are all indoors and they smell awful, causing the whole place to smell, as well as every dog there.Theres no reason a pet owner should have to wait upwards of ten minutes to get their dog back after hearing front desk call their name more than three times. And when your dog finally comes out, they come back smelling like this filthy place.

This place is great. They look after our puppy. He’s excited to go there in the mornings. Dylan and the team take good care of the animals, and pick up is quick and reliable.

Best in show has been great for my dog! When we first adopted her she was nervous around both people and dogs. After bringing her to daycare multiple times a week, my dogs confidence has grown tremendously! It not only gave her socialization with dogs at a young age, but also more comfortable around people! When we drop her off for daycare and the occasional boarding stay, she doesn’t even look back at us, rushing to go see her friends! She is also a regular at the monthly events, and I can always tell she has a great time and I love seeing the pictures. Best in show is truly the only place I would trust with my dog, the staff is professional and friendly, I can tell they always have my pets best interests at heart

We had a bad experience at another boarding facility that left us very scared to even try another place. After days of researching I came across Best in Show. We had our meet and greet yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. I feel so relieved knowing that my 2 dogs will be in great hands. The second the staff met my dogs they were hugging and playing with them. My female dog was judged by breed in the prior place because she is a German shepherd. Best in show resort did not even hesitate to greet my girl. My dogs completely forgot I was even standing there and just happily walked away with the staff members. My dogs came out so happy when I picked them up and I cannot express how relieved I feel that they will be boarding here in 2 weeks. Definitely will be recommending this facility !

Best In Show Pet Resort is my three dogs second home. The staff is just wonderful and it gives me peace of mind to leave them there, because I know how happy and comfortable they are during their stay. Best In Show is clean, welcoming, accommodating, and caring. Sometimes Brady goes for daycare to “socialize” and sometimes he is boarded there for my business travel. Anytime he is there, I have no worries, and he comes home a happy dog. We also use the groomer , Luz, who gives home the most handsome cut !

Best in Show is a high end resort for pets. My dog is elderly and when I go away I want her to have the safest and most loving experience she can. Ive left her there twice now for a week at a time and she is so happy and healthy when I pick her up. All the staff always seems to have smiles on their faces and I think it is their love of pets. My dog does not get along with other dogs and they have a system where she can get lots of attention and a little exercise without the stress of being in a large room of rambunctious dogs (fun for some but not my old girl). I highly recommend Best in Show!

I recently boarded my two dogs at Best in Show. The dogs were very good and not traumatized when I picked them up. The staff was very good with the dogs and seemed genuine. I was also pleasantly surprised when I learned the high quality food Best provided my dogs during their stay. This kennel was highly recommended by friends and lived up to the recommendation.

The team at Best In Show came to my rescue this holiday season! I called last minute and they were able to take care of my 3 pups so I didnt have to cancel my trip. They are all so kind and thoughtful. My pups had the best time!!We will be back for sure!!

My dog has been going to Best In Show since she was a pup. Now that she is eight years old I only take her once a week to socialize and play. Every month Best In Show has a theme party, yesterday was puppy bowl. Not only do they throw a great party for our pups but the donate some of the proceeds to local charities. The staff is wonderful and the facilities are clean. My pup always has a great experience at BIS.We board her there when we travel too. I never have to worry about her wellbeing when we are away which is priceless.

This was our first time using Best In Show and it was fantastic! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, and they treated my dog very well. She did daycare for the first time ever and had a blast--we even got a report card telling us how she did! She came back home happy and tired--hallmarks of a great day. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Weve left our dog there a few times and I cant say a bad word about the people or the place! The first time we left our puppy there I was very nervous and anxious, however seeing the daily photos of my dog running around and having so much fun made us feel so much better! I also called to check up on him, and they gave me a full update on everything from his eating to how hes getting along with the other dogs and staff! Weve also sent our dog there for a few of the cute events they have (Puppy Bowl & Valentines Day), and I know he has so much fun there because he falls asleep the second we pick him up! Plus they always send him home with some treats and a photo! Love this place !

I brought my 9 month Siberian Husky to Best In Show Pet Resorts for boarding and had such a positive experience.The staff was very helpful, communicative, and friendly. When they realized that our dog was missing one of his vaccinations, they called us and offered to take him the vet next door to get it done so he could play with all the other dogs.The exit bath was top notch. He looked and smelled amazing.Our puppy absolutely loved it. He came home so happy that we are now looking into doggy daycare services with them.Highly recommend.

Always my fave place for doggy daycare and overnight boarding. My girls always have a great time here and everyone is always so friendly. I have been trusting Best in Show with my dogs for years now. And even though I moved 35 minutes away, I still always choose Best in Show!

Our dog just spent a week at Best In Show. He hadnt been there in a while and needed updated vaccinations. We took care of that and dropped him off for an 8 day stay, which he absolutely loved!!!! In preparation for his next stay, we made a new reservation. The office sent us a confirmation e-mail with an itemized statement that showed all vaccinations and dates of expiration. Thank goodness they knew this and let me know. Our dog is due for two more vaccinations in the next month and our Vets office never said a word at our last visit that was just two weeks ago. This place is unbelievably efficient and pays such great attention to detail. It give me even more peace of mind that our little buddy is in such good hands when hes not with us. Love, love, love Best In Show Pet Resort!!!!

Our beloved Nick was well cared for during his recent 13-day stay. We paid the extra fee to have reports and pictures sent to us every other day. This saved me the trouble of calling everyday to check on him. I only wish that there was a webcam so I could view Nick at play with the other dogs. How about it Best In Show? Dogtopia has a webcam so we can see whats going on while the dogs are at play.

We boarded our 2 dogs at this resort -- both pups have never stayed away from us before. They took wonderful care of them. When we went to pick our dogs up, they seemed well adjusted and happy. We are going to be bringing them back again very soon. Plus, I loved seeing photos of them online during their stay! When I called to check-in on them, they were very helpful and calming.

I have been bringing my small dog for 7 months, several times a week . I truly have concerns about the care my dog received there .my dog was often returned filthy , smelling of urine and feces . Speaking to staff about it had no effect and my last episode , staff were unprofessional, rude and did not realize I had every right as a paying customer question the care my dog received while in their, care . , I must add not all the staff were unprofessional but as they say a few bad apples spoils a bunchLeaving a pet for daycare requires level of trust and sadly I did not have it . I would not recommend this pet daycare after my experience.

Best Place! Been coming here for 4 years and my dog thinks it’s Disney World. Arrives happy and leaves even happier and tired. Staff is friendly and so good to the pets. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could.

We brought one of our pets to stay a couple nights in their penthouse and had no problems and she was treated well while we were away for a few days. I thought it was a little pricey but worth it for the fact that we didnt have to worry about her not having proper care. And the staff all seemed very nice and seem to be good at what they do. Would recommend that if you would like to leave your dog there and get the penthouse, the best room available, that you make advanced reservations as they book up fast. They also have smaller areas to hold the dogs for less money but we wanted our pet to be happy as possible while we were away and happy we did

I just adopted a sweet little girl who was very timid and easily spooked. I wasn’t certain how this was going to work out since she is very unsure of herself and her new home. Best In Show took great care of her and even gave me a day one report card. We are only a handful of days in and she hops right out of the car to play with her new friends. It took so much anxiety off my plate to know she is happy and being exercised the way she needs while I’m at work. The staff is amazing, the facility is wonderful, and my pup and I couldn’t be happier.

My pups absolutely love going to Best In Show. They literally run into the place. At my last place, they adamantly refused to go in, pulling and trying to get back out of the door. It is an absolute pleasure to drop them off here. I have peace of mind knowing that they are in good hands and having a great time. The staff is the best! They are friendly and caring and it is clear that they love animals. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have been using Best in Show for my French Mastiff while at work four to fives times per week. He loves it and the staff always makes him feel like home. He is so excited to go every morning and loves his routine there. I feel confident that Leon is in good hands and is so loved there. When traveling Leon remains there over night and our prized doggy is super happy there. I never have to worry that he is looked after, fed on time and is having a fantastic activity and is on regular walks. Use this facility with confidence !

I have been bringing my dog Duke to get groomed and the groomer Liz is amazing, the staff are kind and knowledgeable in how to handle dogs. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my precious boy.

This was our first experience boarding our dog. I called for several months to obtain information before we finally decided to use their services. Every time I called, my questions were answered and they were very patient with us. When we finally made the reservation, they were professional and thorough as they confirmed the reservation and the receipt of medical records. While we were away, we were able to ask for updates on our dog. He had a bit of a hard time adjusting to being in a crate but they kept us informed of his behavior. We were very impressed with their responsiveness and care! We even got to see our dog a couple of times on their Facebook page! Thank you Best in Show for your great service!

The staff here are very friendly and courteous. They also help me keep on track of my dogs shots. However, the best indicator for me is how much my dog loves going there and how much they love having him there. This is a great place. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Im so happy with our pups first stay at Best in Show. We just moved to town and had to find a spot to board our chihuahua and boston terrier for a few days and had the best experience at Best in Show. We loved looking at their photos on facebook when they were in group play and were really impressed with the care the staff gave them. Great place! Great people! Great service! HAPPY PUPPIES!! We wholeheartedly recommend Best in Show.

I never look back after leaving my dog in the loving hands of Best in Show. Everyone makes my dog Riley feel super special. A true testament, is Riley herself, who when she sees the red bag with her blanket in it knows where shes going, and is uncontrollable with excitement! Would never leave her anywhere else. My pooch suffers from separation anxiety and I cant bear to leave him crated if Im gone for more than 3 hours. Im so thankful for Best in Show; I can be at ease knowing my dog is having an awesome time with his friends in daycare and not stressing out all by his lonesome. Bonus for me that l live close by.While the vetting process can be a little tedious, its worth it since I know that all of his buddies are fully vaccinated and I dont have to worry about him coming into contact with any nastiness.The staff is very friendly and attentive to all the dogs and if something terrible were to happen to my dog while he was there, their onsite veterinary services would attend to him immediately.

I have since took my golden doodle for day care and he loves it. I have booked for several dates for boarding. Overall I am very please and satisfied they will take care of my teddy. The staff is professional and friendly. My dog seemed happy when we picked him up. The exercise time was especially important for my Jack Russell . Reasonably priced for his stay. Especially impressed that they made sure he had all his shots and flea/tick care.

This place is simply a special place for our 4 year old Lab Terrier guy and for our family, because we always drop our guy off feeling at peace and feeling so excited to see him super joyful from the moment we drive into the lot and then he pulls his way into the place because obviously he is so happy there.What makes this place so special to us, is that the place is well maintained, always clean and spacious and the staff is top notch. From those at the desk and those that play with and care for all the dogs. They are not all only professional, but they are all warm hearted and kind. Now that is rare in my experience.

Love best in show. Lucky my English bull dog gets groomed by Marilyn who has the patience of a saint. Love her. Love the old crew that still works there (Carlos & Joe) they show a true love for our pets and their owners. Truly, don’t appreciate the new crew that demonstrate no emotion.

I’m not really the type of person who writes reviews but my experience with Best in show pet resort has really inspired me to write this one. My dog Bennie is a rescue that was saved from a beach in Puerto Rico where he was dumped like garbage and left to die.Needless to say, when he came into our lives, he was insecure, fearful and timid and we had no experience with rescues or these behaviors.The fearfulness quickly turned into aggression towards anyone that didn’t live in my house and severe leash aggression developed towards other dogs.Anyone who has a dog with aggressive tendencies knows how it can turn your life upside down.We have had him for two years and have had to alter our lives to keep everyone safe.We hired a couple of trainers who had no idea how to work with Bennie and one that told us to euthanize him because he is too much of a liability.We love our dog and adopted him knowing he wouldn’t be perfect and not giving him a chance was not an option.Our family has had to vacation separately since we adopted him because all the boarding places I have contacted either wouldn’t take a dog that was not friendly or would kennel him with no human interaction.A friend mentioned to me that her Rottweiler, who can also be unpredictable, had gone to Best in show Pet resort and they were completely accommodating so I called and made an appointment for Bennie.Carlos and Joe came out to greet Bennie for his evaluation and as soon as Bennie saw them he lunged aggressively and was trying to bite them.Unfortunately, they weren’t able take his leash and l knew exactly how this was going to go for us since we had been turned away from numerous places before.I was beginning to lose hope, but instead of turning us away, Carlos just said to me every dog is different and Bennie is just going to need a different approach.The staff at best in show are true dog lovers and really care about making every dog feel welcome regardless of their issues.Carlos has been working with Bennie for a couple of weeks now and never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that Bennie would come this far in such a short amount of time. Carlos took the time knowing how unpredictable my dog was and was willing to give him a chance.With time and patience, Bennie has learned to trust him and has acclimated so well to the facility.While Carlos has mainly worked with Bennie, he has gained enough trust to allow Joe to walk him and interact with him as well.Bennie is slowly learning to trust all the staff members who are all equally caring and patient.Best in show Pet resort has given my family hope that we can have relatives over for the weekend or take a family vacation in the future and know that our dog has a place to go where he will be happy, safe and surrounded by people who love all dogs despite their flaws.

I regularly take my pup Captain to Best in Show for over a year now and I really couldnt be happier or luckier to live so close to Best in Show Pet Resort. Everyone there really cares and it absolutely shows. They treat my Cappy (and Leo) like one of their own. Being that I am a slightly-irrational dog lover, I only allow the best for my pets - be that for their food, toys, medicine - and absolutely...their daily care. Their passion really shows, and it immediately put me at ease (since day 1) when I decided to first bring Cap to Best in Show. They really do go above and beyond for all the pets there and for us pet owners. Im lucky to know much of the staff and Ive seen almost all of them interact with the pets there in the same passionate and caring/loving manner. I know its hard to trust others with your furry friends, and I absolutely recommend doing your due diligence, but from my experience here - Best in Show really is the best.

I have taken our dog for a few overnight stays and last time, we had them trim our pups nails. They only did a few and said she would not cooperate but for the next week or two, she would limp and get upset if you touched her paws. They were very clearly cut too short, so we decided not to let them groom her again. We just had a 2 night stay that ended up being $300. They texted us the first day saying she had one loose stool and tried to sell us meds even though she was not dehydrated and had no change in demeanor or energy level. Then they called us the second day and said our dog was really dirty and we should get a bath for her. We usually do an exit bath but my gosh, enough with the upselling! She just had a bath a few days before and was not dirty enough to warrant calling us- we thought something was wrong when we saw them calling us. We picked up our dog and see they put us on a gold package without explaining to us there were different levels. The front desk person was incredibly argumentative when we inquired why the stay was so expensive. Save your money and go to Hounds Town. They are wonderful and our dog has a blast there. We tried Best in Show one last time because they are a little closer but will definitely never go here again.*** update after they responded: I spoke with the vet next door and they said they wouldnt jump to meds unless there was a change in behavior or energy levels. Also, that is more urgent than the bath, which they called us for (the diarrhea was just a text) and the person said our dog was filthy. How is that possible she got so dirty so quickly in your care? Yes, we would do an exit bath anyway, but that was an unnecessary comment. Your sales staff never said you had levels of packages so the fact that someone documented this doesnt mean it happened. You should be re-confirming the stay information for each stay.Regarding the nails, thats absolutely not true. Your staff never informed us they cut her nail too short. This was discovered when I brought her to the vets next door and they asked who cut her nails as it was way too short and thats why she was in pain. Your tech would absolutely know if they hurt a dog cutting their nails but still did not inform us so we could treat it.Your aggressive tone on the phone and in your response is completely unprofessional. Theres a clear attitude problem and lack of accountability. I will never bring our dog here again.

Wonderful! I use the doggy day care and it’s the type of place where they recognize your car pulling in and greet you and your pup by name. The staff truly love animals and it shows. Gives me great piece of mind to be able to leave my Luna in such a safe, loving and clean environment.

Shelby has been going to daycare for a long time! She loves it! She has also had many overnight stays! Such a great place with awesome staff!

Best in show is a life saver! I had my pup there for daycare one day and got into a minor accident on my way to pick him up. I was able to call and immediately they asked how I was and made accommodations for him to stay overnight so I had one less thing to worry about. The people are wonderful and caring for both owners and pets!

The staff really loves Gizmo there. I love the way they take care of my dog... The staff is extremely knowledgeable and so genuinely nice and very loving. I am definitely recommending my friends and family to join Best in Show Pet Resort. They are truly awesome.

The staff is wonderful and we consider them our extended family.We know when Lucy is there, we always feel she is safe, comfortable and very happy and loved. When we pull into the parking lot, Lucy cant wait to get out of the car and run to the front door.It is so evident that the staff truly loves animals and is considerate and caring of the pets parents as well. Very clean facility. The staff are always caring to our standard schnauzer. She is kept busy and engaged and comes home happy and exhausted. We have recommended the facility to many friends with dogs.

My puppy loves coming to Doggie Daycare at Best in Show. The staff is always so nice, professional and responsive. Calls/texts/questions answered immediately. And best of all my puppy is exhausted after his day of play. Highly recommend!

Sadie loves her time at Best in Show, whether it’s for boarding or daycare. She always comes home and sleeps for days, so I know she is kept busy interacting with the other dogs and the caretakers.

My pug, Wolfgang Pug, is always the happiest little baby going in to see all of his friends! He gets greeted with pets and hugs, goes for playtimes, hangs out with other puppies, and this gives his mom time to focus on her work or run some extra errands. Wolfgang and I have been going to Best In Show for about 4 years now and they have truly been a godsend when it comes to babysitting. I wish that there was nighttime daycare till midnight so that I could use them for dinners and such but I am grateful for the hours that they take him now. Their dedication and friendliness is much appreciated and we will continue to visit 2 days a week for as long as we can! Thank you, all, so much for your hard work 😊

I’ve never boarded a pet. Not in 15 years. I watched At least a dozen dogs go in for day care or boarding while I was doing my tour.... The woman I spoke to Eileen in my opinion was very rude. She wouldn’t answer my questions. She didn’t make me feel comfortable about leaving my pet which is like my family there. She told me to “let her finish“ when she was trying to sell me a package. She told me that if I brought my own water for my own dogthere was a maintenance fee. and aside from not answering any of my questions she basically told me that the dogs have two hours of play during a 24 hour stay and for the rest of the day the 22 hours they were locked in a box no bigger than the front seat of my car. Ican’t say as far as grooming or daycare maybe they’re good and maybe the staff is good but I can say that my personal experience with this woman Eileen was not only unsettling but I was angry leaving there and I was insulted when she asked me “how much time do you actually spend with your dog“This woman doesn’t know me from a hole in the wall and I don’t appreciate her assuming that I don’t spend any time with my dog. We spend hours and hours together. I took the folder with the information ripped it up and threw it out and as far as I’m concerned best in show will never ever ever have one of my pets

Sorry, i cannot share the good reviews listed here. I sadly brought my dog there for about 2 years there and am regretting it until this very day. My dog passed away and i still cannot get over the guilt for having subjected him to that subpar daycare. I comfort myself in knowing that for the vast majority of his life my dog had been at a fantastic daycare elsewhere before i moved to Long Island - a place far less fancy and yet EONS better; a place where the dogs were occupied all day long and got personal care every hour of the day rather than being caged most of the day. At the old place i’d pick my dog up and i knew how his day was and when he ate, how much he ate, and when he did his business so i could plan when to take him out for a walk after returning home from a long day of work. At Best in Show i’d place my dog with one person in the AM and pick up the dog in the evening from someone else who knew absolutely NOTHING about how the day went. The old dog day care felt like you had incredible dog lovers who just happened to have made a business out of it. Best in Show felt like a place created ONLY by business people who, by the way, liked dogs. Never EVER would i bring a dog to that place and pay for that. I ask my dog every day forgiveness for having subjected him, without choice, sadly, to that bad bad BAD place!!!

We boarded our dog with Best in Show a few times. The last stay was for 10 days.When we came to pick him up, we asked how he did during the 10 days that he was there. We assumed he did well, since we did not receive any phone calls. The response was that he did great. We paid our $1,100.00 bill and left.A week later, I called to book a suite for an overnight stay and was put on a waiting list. Then a message was left for me, informing me that my dog is no longer allowed to stay in suites. I called back and spoke with Joseph. I was told that my dog was very anxious during his 10 day stay, damaged the metal railing and had to be moved to a different suite because he was a danger to himself.We never got an answer why we were not notified of this during our pet’s stay or when we picked him up.We don’t appreciate the deception and lack of communication.They lied to us and happily took our $1,100.00.We will NEVER board our dog with Best in Show in Mineola.

Best in Show took excellent care of my dog. She has never been boarded or away from us, and they put us at ease. They treated her as if she was their own. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic service -- this place is a nicer resort for my dog than the hotels we stay at! With a completely safe environment providing care for any animal and personality I trust them whole-heatedly with my dog; they give him personal belly-rubbing time and individual play, group play sessions, bed time stories (!), comfortable rooms with doggie-beds and TVs, an extremely experienced, expert and supportive staff that diligently cares for all the animals and updates with lots of photos on social media. This is more like a sleepaway camp resort than a kennel, definitely recommend to all!

I unfortunately had a negative experience with Best in Show Pet Resort. They lost my dogs collar, rabies tag and leash. We asked for an exit bath and scheduled the pick up time for my in-laws to get our dog. Our dog came out wet from the bath. When my in-law asked about the dog being wet, the staff told her we have 150 dogs right now, were doing the best we can and so she had to put a wet dog into her car because of short staffing/over-booking. When I made the appointment, I clearly said that we are new dog owners, I had never boarded a dog before and that I was not at all familiar with how the rates worked. I was told drop off was any time between 7 AM and 7 PM weekdays and that pick up was anytime before 6 PM on Saturday. We dropped the dog off at 6 pm on Wednesday and scheduled a 4pm pickup for Saturday. We were charged $20 for late pick-up, which apparently happens when you pick up the dog after noon. If we had been told that, we would have had him picked up by noon! Our dog has been sick since the day after we brought him home, which may or may not be related to being boarded...I really dont know. I have called to complain about all of these things and supposedly I am being refunded the $20 late fee, but that has not happened yet. Ive had to call multiple times to follow up on the lost collar, leash and rabies tag, and finally was told today that they have searched all over and found nothing. This place is expensive and seems short staffed. Not worth the money for the level of service provided.

My 110 pound shepherd loves coming to daycare everyday for over 9 years since he was a puppy. Staff go above and beyond caring for the dogs. And, they are aslo wonderful to the ownners!

We dropped our dog off for a four night stay with a lot of trepidation but after dealing with the entire staff there, we were less anxious by the day! They gave us a daily update on how he was doing, how he was eating, how he was playing and sleeping. He got an exit bath before we picked him up and he came home very happy!! We were quite grateful to them!!

Very professional operation!My dog is very skittish and wary of all strangers. She also has a very loud bark which can be intimidating. Pet Resorts manager, Joseph, immediately recognized this and put into place a plan to acclimate our dog AND their staff to the new arrival.I found all the staff to be extremely professional, sensitive in handling their guests and patient in their approach with our baby.In addition, we were encouraged to return for another evaluation and stay to ensure our pets comfortability with the staff and her new surroundings.Although wary at first of even thinking about boarding our dog, especially knowing how nervous she is of unfamiliar surroundings, we felt very comfortable seeing first hand how clean, well organized and fully transparent this boarding facility is.... Thank you for taking the time out to really understand our dog and her behavior and putting a plan in place so that boarding can not only be a realistic plan for her during our vacations but also a safe/happy place for her !!!!!

Trust me it’s not a good place for your dogs. It’s expensive and it’s not worthy. My dog was in the overnights care for a several days. When he got home he lost a lot of weights he also got Ear mites and there are bloods in his ear too. Before he is really active and now his not as active then before. In the overnight care they barely feed any water and he got a diarrhea when he got home.

This place is the most unprofessional business and pet boarding facility I have ever seen. Carlos the manager is the rudest unprofessional manager I have ever encountered. My family booked a non-refundable weekend away that costs almost $2,000. Upon arrival for our first time boarding the staff stated my two 5 month old puppies were missing one of their vaccines. Keep in mind all paperwork was sent to them 2 days in advance and I specifically stated in my email please let me know if anything else was needed or missing. No one reached out to say there were items missing. So after they had taken the dogs back in the room, our car was packed, my two young children were ready to go to the resort Carlos states that the dogs cant stay and we needed to leave. Instead of apologizing for the fact that the staff did not take the time to confirm he has cost us a lot of money for our weekend away, and has thoroughly devastated my children and family. As a small business owner I could never imagine treating clients in this manner. Beware of this business, find another place to take your pets!

My family adopted a Havapoo puppy (Oliver) during June of 2020. Because of the epidemic, socialization didn’t exist for weeks on end which I think was the downturn of Oliver. As friends and family started to come over to our house, whenever they put out their hand, he would snap at them, he was a very skittish and a reactive dog. Last month, we planned on a family getaway for 3 days so there was a boarding place close by. When I brought him to orientation, he did the same thing. They said that it might do more harm if we have him here, but here are a few names of trainers that can help Oliver (one of them I am using now). With just a few days until our trip I found Best in Show Pet Resort. I made a temperament appointment and told them of Oliver’s prior behavior.That weekend, I brought in Oliver, and there I met Carlos. Oliver from the outside seems like a cute little puppy that you can pick up, as Carlos of attempting to pick him up, Oliver snapped at him. Carlos not giving up told me to walk with him down the hallway to get Oliver inside, but Oliver wanted nothing to do with that, he wanted to come back to me. Carlos mentioned to me to walk to the other side of the room and wait for him, he proceeded to take Oliver inside (just like dropping off a child at the 1st day of school). After about 30 minutes, Carlos comes back and we talk in his office about how Oliver is warming up to him, but come back later in the afternoon, he wants to spend some more time with him.Later that day, I come back and the two are walking together like buddies, I don’t know how he did it, but Carlos was able to pet him and Oliver was jumping on him because he liked him. Carlos told me that he spent quite some time with Oliver to develop that bond, he didn’t want to give up on the little guy. As reinforcement, bring Oliver back in 2 days for the day to meet Joe. Joe will be with Oliver for his time there. To make a long story short, Joe in the same manner as Carlos developed a bond with him and when it was time to bring Oliver in for the 3 days, Oliver did well. Joe mentioned that he was a different dog from when he first came to Pet Resort.There is no question that this place I would recommend to anybody. If Oliver can stay there, anyone can, LOL. Carlos, Joe and the entire staff are very friendly and patient, exactly what was needed for Oliver. I plan on dropping him off every so often just so that he gets more and more comfortable around other people besides his family members.

They were recommended to us by Waggers since they shut down. Waggers did not disappoint with their recommendation! Their groomer and staff are friendly! They care about your dogs needs and ask questions. They give a rundown pre and post grooming! Will definitely continue getting my dog groomed here!

When I drop off my dog for daycare - hes always enthusiastic to have arrived and seems in a rush to go off with one of the staff. At the other end of the day Im greeted by a happy dog . He seems to enjoy his visits - so this is also where we board him when we are travelling.

Ive had my pup(s) go to Best in Show for several years. Everyone is professional and genuinely caring. I completely trust having my dog in their care.

Best in Show is fantastic! Im able to go away many times a year with peace of mind that my lab will be well taken care of - she gets a room, employees are great, playgroups if she wants, and daily pictures on Facebook site to see how your pet is doing.

Weve left our chocolate lab and our two cats for week-long as well as overnight boarding. The staff and care of the animals is excellent. I highly recommend you use this business to board your pet.

My dog was groomed today and was returned to me with blood shot and watery eyes. I never had a problem there before and always had a good experience, until today. I called to find out what happened and Carlos (said he was the owner) is the most unprofessional and rudest person ive ever encountered. My suggestion is to get rid of carlos hes not good for your business. Later in the day I received a call from CJ, we discussed the shampoo used, by that time my dog was much better. The next morning CJ followed up again. CJ renewed my conference and will continue sending my dog to best in show.

Care of our dogs seemed great. But when we went to pick up our dogs one of our blankets were missing. We were told it was in the laundry somewhere and theyd call us when they found it. Which was weird because our other blanket was returned not cleaned. Still no call.

Worst place ever and held my dog captive. I agreed to have my dog for a couple of days and agreed at a price of $850 when I came back from my trip, I was informed they upgraded my dog to a suit with out my permission and needed to pay the difference. Instead of the $850 agreed upon they were demanding $2,000 or my dog wont be released to me. The police were called and finally and reluctantly gave me my dog back after I paid the original $850. When I got my dog back it was soaked in its own urine and had marks on him of being hit. This place should be shut down immediately and no one should ever use them.

Amazing place for pets to enjoy romping around with their furry friends, fun themed party events and exceptional caring staff. Highly recommend for our fur babies!

My 1yr old Hunter has been attending Best in Show Pet Resort weekly for the past 9 months, the facility is clean and has professional and caring employees who really love dogs. Hunter is always happy to be droppped off and comes home tired from playing.

I boarded my 7 month old 65 lb. Great Pyrenees and he loved it ❤️ He also goes to daycare twice a week and all of the staff is fantastic and very friendly.

A great place to leave your doggy while on vacation. They really take care of your friend and a Dr is close by, just in case. Very clean and the staff is great. Your dog will be well cared for.

Staff very incompetent not professional at all, they call my little puppy aggressive after 3 hours of him been there, if they know how to approach a new dog and gain his trust hi wouldn’t growl. They make me waist my time and a money (had to leave my job for the day because of them ) if you need a day care bring your puppy to a place in Westbury they do know how to deal with new dogs

Took my puppy here once, got a flea during her visit. Tried telling me she already had it prior. Ok. Took her a second time and the incurred 600$ vet bill from the stomach virus she got was not worth her haircut visit. Dont take your pets here, they clearly do not clean very well behind the scenes. Will never take any animal here again.

Called to get a rate for boarding my dog. A gentleman (I think his name was Walter) started asking my for all my personal information to put me in the system. I said i didnt want to waste his time if the rate was too high and i didnt want to give my personal information due to solicitations. He refused to assist me in any way if i didnt give him my information first. Typical sales ploy. Turned off by this place. They wont be getting my business.

We love leaving our pet here when going on vacation! The workers are the best and you leave knowing your pet is in good hands. I love that the dogs have play time and they post pictures on Facebook so you can see them playing with other dogs. They have great package options to make your pets stay comfortable. Overall, it’s the best and my dog loves it :)

I called to make a reservation. After answering many questions I was told that reservations would call me right back...still waiting. This is no way to run a business, especially when the client has enough anxiety about leaving their pets for an extended period of time. After reading several unsatisfactory reviews (also involving lack of response) I decided to look elsewhere in regard to pet care.

My dog Hercules returned to my home relaxed and content .The staff answered my questions and assisted me in arrangingto have Hercules boarded . Good experience for both of us.

Called to get prices, the person who answered the phone wouldnt tell me, and told me that someone would call me back. I get a call back and asked again, she refused to answer and asked a ton of questions..essentially registering the dog. Finally the price is quoted after a big rehearsed sales pitch on what separates them from other kennels with their state of the art facility....yada yada yada.. its about $20 more per dog than the average, essentially $100 per day for 2 dogs. She then mentions two play packages Gold or silver.... i said ok so its $102.50 per night ..she add plus the play of your choice. I inquired..im required to pick a play package she says...well thats what separates us from other places.... I agreed...other places dont require me to pay an extra fee to have my dogs play with other dogs. Total nonsense, i had a suspicion that the prices were crazy since there was no prices disclosed on the website and she went through a sales pitch before mentioning price... i felt like she was trying to sell me a time share!

Eventhough I was credited for an error on their behalf, Brandon(reservations guy) did the same mistake again. I wanted to leave my per over the weekend, and while going over what seem a detail overview of the charges prior to my arrival. The total charges according to brando where between $47 and $48. To my surprise, when I got to the bussiness, my chardes were $100. If the conversation was recorded, they should go back and review it. It will clearly tell them that I asked Brandon if he was sure this time about my charges to which he responded yes. At the counter when I demanded an explanation, the lady told me that it is difficult to give accurate information over the phone. REALLY!!!!! A simple calculator would do the trick. Same mistake twice within days apart. Not a very happy costumer at this time! Am sorry!

Oscar, our newly adopted mix, went right in with the Best in Show staff like I wasnt even there. He had a great day and came home exhausted.

When I called for the first time to ask the reservation lady what a full grooming includes (because different places include different things) she was impatient and wouldnt list everything for some odd reason. Not sure about their facility, but was turned off based on that alone.

The only place weve sent our puppy for daycare and occasional boarding. He loves it there and seems to know when hes going when we get his lunch and snack ready.

Use them for grooming every 5 weeks. Lucy does a great job on my golden doodle

Ive been bringing my dog here for daycare and overnight lodging for the past several years. It’s truly one of the best dog daycare/hotels around.The staff is amazing. They are on top of everything, giving customers the piece of mind and confidence that their dog is being looked after with care. I have no hesitations leaving my dog there. When I pick my dog up he is always happy and most importantly, tired out from the play groups and attention he gets while there!!I couldn’t more highly recommend Best in Show!

They took great care of my lab. Took pics while I was on vacation. They also take really good care of my cat. They really love the pets.

We had to go away for a few days and had our English Bulldog and Mini Pig stay here. Everything went well and we were very happy that they were in great hands!

A wonderful place where my pup is well taken care of and I never have to worry. So great to have vets office attached, any vaccine updates are done right on site, so great!

Sometimes my cockapoo is not groomed according to his breed but I was very happy with his grooming this time especially his face.

Top quality service for your pets. We have been taking our dogs there for years and always have a great experience.

Its the only time my dog is excited to leave me and go inside without me. Last time I picked him up, he tried to go back in. The dogs have a blast for sure!
