First time pet owner. A few of our close friends recommended Pet Story to us when it was time to bring in our puppy, Cooper, for his first grooming session.Upon arrival, we noticed how clean, bright, and welcoming the establishment was. They sell clothing, toys, foods, almost anything you might need for your pet.I had booked a full groom for Cooper through their website. We were greeted by the staff at the front desk who quickly checked us in (creating a new account and updating information needed on file). Chloe was our groomer and she was absolutely the sweetest. She was patient and carefully explained everything that would go into the grooming session. I had no idea there were fur samples you could look at to decide how long or short you want your furbaby groomed.We received a call 30 minutes prior to the session being finished. Total groom was about 3 hours.I cannot say how satisfied we were with how Coopers first groom went. Chloe did a phenomenal job cleaning out the fur in his ears. His toenails were cut really well. He smelled amazing! (I have to ask what shampoo they used so we could purchase at home to use with him).Overall, for our first groom and Coopers, we were extremely satisfied with the service we received. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your animal to get groomed at Pet Story in Mineola. Thank you guys so much for such a wonderful first experience!!!

Store is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful! My yorkie comes in for a monthly grooming and she always looks so cute! The shampoo they use smells so nice lol!! The groomers really know what they’re doing and always make her look like a teddy bear! If you’re considering bringing in your pet, then do it! They are really the best!

Pet Story has the greatest vibe! It was my first time there. Ari was so sweet with my dog. I had no idea there were so many choices for grooming! Everyone that works there are so helpful and friendly. When I picked up my dog he looked happy and adorable! Ari did an amazing job! Looking forward to going back for more “pupcakes!” The only place I will go for grooming! Thanks again!

I love this store so much. The staff is so helpful and sweet. I searched high and low for months for a car seat for my dog that would be secure for the back seat of my car and couldnt find one till I came here. First shot, and walked out with one. My dog loves it. Their food is better priced than pet smart and petco and they carry strollers and all the birthday treats and party attire for your pups special day. So happy I can frequent this place and my puppy loves coming to say hi to their loving staff. 5 paws ratings 🐾

My Havanese, Lilly has been going there since they opened. The staff is very friendly and the grooming is always great. Ana gives Lilly the best grooming she’s ever had!

I brought our shy/fearful pup for his first ever grooming and Sunny did a wonderful job! I was nervous for him since he would be alone for a few hours and he is an anxious dog. But when Sunny greeted us I could tell immediately she would be gentle! My pup seemed to warm up to her quickly. When I picked him up afterwards he looked sparkly clean and fresh with a pep in his step ✨ she shared some pics of the session and it was so funny and cute how calm he was under her care. I appreciate groomers who enjoy what they do and love our pups like we do ❤️ We’ll definitely be back!

Great variety of all natural foods, as well variety of cute toys. The staff are very helpful, courteous professionals. They definitely have all that’s there is to offer.

I have brought my two mini poodles to many groomers. This place has the best groomers I have seen so far. They leave my two babies all puffed up and smelling delicious. I am very satisfied with them.

Penelope loves going to daycare at Pet Story, she’ll literally hop on her two hind legs anxiously trying to get to the front door! They’ve got a great team -Kara, Carlos & the groomer are all amazing.P/s they’ve got quite a selection of dog food, treats etc not to mention the cutest home baked doggy cakes for your fur babies’ parties

Pet Story is amazing! The staff is kind, patient, friendly and very knowledgeable about the grooming process and the products that they sell. My dog Abby has been going to Pet Story every 6-7 weeks for about 2 years now and she runs to the back of the store to meet her groomer every single time we arrive. Jane pets Abby and Abby kisses her before it’s grooming time! There has never been a cut or a knick on my dog. I mention this because Abby is very sweet, but can be a challenge to groom. When Jane is not available I have used other groomers and they are all professional and exceptional. I feel at completely at ease leaving my fur baby with the Pet Story family.

I have brought my dog there couple times for grooming and the groomer is excellent and did a great job.However, the cashier staff is very rude during my last visit. He told me NOT to feed my dog before bringing my dog there for grooming. The dog poops and made a messy so he has to clean it up!! Of course, my dog has already pooped before going there.This is the first time I heard such request from pet store and I think his request is very reasonable. Bad service from their front desk!!A few days later after I left my feedback, the store staff called me and the call was appreciated. After the phone call, we have better understanding with each other. Thanks for taking additional action on this. Will definitely continue to be there for pet service. Thanks much!!

The entire staff treats our pup like she is one of their own. I cannot recommend them enough! Jay is the ONLY groomer for our girl - it’s perfection every time. I’ve been taking my almost 6 year old Australian Shepherd mix here for almost 2 years now. They have always been so friendly and provided great grooming services. My furbaby, Cersei, is not the best with grooming, but they always manage to make her look so gorgeous, and for that, I will always appreciate their staff! I recently welcomed a new addition in Sept 2023, Aegon, and he has been there for multiple grooming sessions, daycare, and even was boarded there for a week. I recommend Pet Story to as many people as possible. They treat my babies like their own and they always come home so happy and looking their best!Pet Story is a one stop shop for all your four legged friends needs. Their front desk staff (especially Daeman!) and groomers (thank you Anna!) are so amazing and knowledgeable, and their store is stacked with any and everything your furbaby would need.Again, I 100% would recommend Pet Story of Mineola!

I have met my forever pet store! The store manager Damon was soooooo nice and sweet to my puppy. They were so accommodating and friendly! I have had so many bad experiences and I’ll forever go there. Great experience bringing our elderly dogs Lila (10 years) and Sarah (11 years) for grooming and exfoliation of extra fur to prevent major shedding during the four seasons.Grateful and blessed by well trained, friendly, knowledgeable staff who welcome every family and their fur babies. We were very worried that our dog wouldn’t do well in a group setting, but the staff at Pet Story encouraged us to try the temperament test to see how she’d be with other dogs. She did surprisingly great and the staff did a wonderful job of answering all our questions as this was our first time boarding our baby girl.Her stay was affordable and we had access to the livestream so we could watch her during play time hours. By the 3rd day, she seemed to really enjoy being there and on the 4th day when my brother in law picked her up, he said she didn’t want to leave. I think that says a lot.We’ll definitely bring her back any time she needs a home away from home.

Highly recommend!!! Everyone at Pet Story is so welcoming and kind, both staff and groomers. They do an amazing job bathing and grooming my Malshi. A little on the pricey side, but worth every penny. Convenient location, parking, and easy to book an appt online. They take such good care of the dogs, and have tons of patience. My lil guy is not scared to stay there unlike other places. I fear he was mistreated at our prior groomer because he used to freak out & not want to stay, and then hed be uncontrollably cry-barking when I came back to pick him up. He doesnt act like that at Pet Story, hes always super happy when I come back to get him. Only place we will go now!Since Google only allows 1 review, Im updating my original one to add that weve been back to Pet Story many times. All of the staff is gracious and kind, and the groomers do a wonderful job. They are always patient and understanding with my nervous lil guy...New photos added also of his latest cut.

Will not be returning. I have taken my little guy a couple of times there and I am already charged a lot ($97) for a regular haircut no extra treatments. He weighs 17 lbs and though it’s a lot I thought it was OK because they’ve done a good job in the past. Now i went with a new groomer there who charged me “$1 per minute of brushing” which I found to be outrageous. They charged me $12 more. 12 minutes of brushing? When all she had to “ brush” was his ears because the rest of his body was fine. How do I know it was 12 minutes spent? Isn’t that part of what a grooming job is? Ive asked multiple of my friends who have their dogs groomed and they’ve never heard of such a thing. I did not want to leave tip because it was $109 for a small dog to get a basic haircut but I left tip anyway as a courtesy. It’s plain taking advantage when you’re already paying nearly $100 to charge for “brushing”. And to top it all off when we got home we realized our dog has pieces of his paws nicked and a laceration on his ear. We will not be coming back here.

Okay but this is the cutest and most professional place I’ve seen ever!!!! I am so happy with how they took care of my cat. From when I walked in I was greeted nicely, I was verbally guided step by step the process of how the grooming service will go and I was given honest advice as to what my cat looked like she needed and did not need which saved me cash! They are not business first but fur-friend first always! Go to Pet Story Mineola for all your pet needs, really!!!

Hailey does a fabulous job grooming Phoebe! My cockapoo always looks so pretty and smells so good after Hailey works her magic. I appreciate the ease of scheduling an appointment online and the phone call letting me know when its time to pick up. The entire staff at Pet Story is friendly and professional.

Just came back to LI for the holidays and found this new pet store! We have already gone a couple of times!! The products are great and the employees were very friendly and helpful!

I brought my puppy here for her first grooming. Annie groomed her so beautifully and she and a gentleman came out first to discuss in detail what I wanted and to make sure my puppy wouldn’t b traumatized because she had a few mats. I will definitely bring her back again.

I went to Pet Story NY for the first time and the staff was friendly and helpful. Was glad I stopped in I got exactly what I needed that I could not find at other pet stores. I will be going back they have a lot of products made from lamb for dogs with allergies to other poltry products.

We heard such wonderful things about PetStory and knew thats where we should take our new puppy Mimi, a rescue from Paws of War. She was in dire need of a grooming as shes a Westiepoo so her fur is curly and knotted from her long stint through the rescue process and travel. We took her here and when we picked her up her groomer (i forgot your name, im sorry) fully explained how matted she was and how much effort she put into helping our Mimi, which we were so thankful to her for :) . Our lil puppy came out and looked and smelled beautiful and they gave her the cutest strawberry printed bandana! She was such a happy puppy! Oh yeah, the cutest treats for all occasions for your furry friend too! We got her a “hamburger” and a “cannoli” treats that have lasted her a couple of weeks by giving her pieces! I’ve been taking my Shih Tzu to Pet Story since they opened. They always do a great job. Everyone is so friendly, the store is always clean. My dog is always done in a timely manner and always gets a great haircut!

I want to thank the staff at Pet Story for the honesty. Both times that my dog was in for a service they noticed that the dog had an infection. I am dog sitting and would never have picked up on these two issues. They also give a great bath and grooming .Thanks again

Hi Everyone, I brought my yorkie mix terrier Luna for the first time here at Pet Story and I can’t express how amazing and wonderful the staff is. Luna came out looking perfect and very happy which makes me happy. Her groomer Lydia even gave me a cute little picture to put in my car so I can see her at anytime. :)I appreciate how much care and patience they all have and how attentive they are as well. I am surely going to recommend to my friends and family. I also found out today that have have so much more to offer than just grooming. The clean space and sanitation in the store is great. Very happy in all.

I have been bring my dog to Pet Story for a few months now, Charlotte gets groomed every 6 weeks. I loved that when we went in this last time the young woman at the front remembered us. Charlottes groomer, Irene is SO caring and kind. The store is so clean, and the staff is friendly.

I left my small 5 yo dachshund with Pet Story for 10 nights. He was apprehensive at first when he entered the play yard for the first time. After afew minutes, he got comfortable with the other dogs. I checked in almost daily to hear that he was eating, playing and sleeping well. The staff is very friendly and the facility is very clean and neat. Archie got a bath before pickup. I actually think he is missing that place now. I willdefinitely take him back there again. Highly recommend this doggy spa. 😍

It was my first experience at “ pet story”. My dog was treated beautifully. As was I. The groomer was very communicative about what we were going to do for the dog. And the execution was incredible. So I am very happy and I will be back. And I recommend this place for your dog.

Wonderful, kind, and knowledgeable staff members!! I had great conversations with two employees and they were very genuine. The product selection is wonderful and lots of higher end products as well as great assortment for both cats and dogs! Their dried chews and snack section was awesome and my dog loved everything I got. Will definitely be coming back for more stuff for my dog.

Staff is polite & attentive and the fur babies look adorable. Followup on appt time and dogs being finished were all timely. Both of our 2 dogs were comfortable with Kris, Jin and Tina the groomers.

Excellent quality grooming, and a beautiful, bight and clean place of business. I usually book the groomer that has the most convenient time available. We have had multiple people groom our dog and all have done a great job. Today we saw Annie. She was kind and attentive to my dog. She was meticulous and I was very happy.

I had a very good experience. I was in a bind to find a new groomer for my difficult dog to be groomed and they delivered and did a very nice job. They relieved my stress and have already made the next appointment.

It’s a great place to shop for your furry friends! They have such a friendly staff that will help you with anything you need. They have mostly everything I have two cats and a dog and I found everything for a good price. Plus I found my dog’s favorite treat where I couldn’t find anywhere else.

We brought our new puppy 🐶 for her first haircut. She is extremely wiggly and active. Anna took her time, and our Little Lucy came out looking so adorable and still best friends with Anna. Bambina and I love coming here, the owner and the staff are super friendly.I believe they have everything, almost like a one stop shop for all your pets need! In case you dont see something, all you have to do is ask and they are very happy to help you with everything.Bambina loves their own homemade dehydrated treats from chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and so much more, and have no preservatives in the treats.They have sample treats for your pets at the counter and thats an extra bonus.They have various brands of food offering kibbles to rawmix.They offer grooming, daycare, boarding...etcOh yes and the place is very clean.I recommend this store to everyone and Ill promise you will be very happy with Pet Story!

Just brought my dogs to grooming and I have to say it was the best haircut ever!! The groomers were so nice and knowledgeable and they even wrote them a report card!! Btw, they have the best treats and food selections!!! Thank you so much Pet Story!!

I have a (very nervous) mini golden doodle. The last place we went to he had cuts all over his belly from the cut (I guess because he moves a lot during a grooming). He wouldn’t stop scratching and licking his area…for WEEKS after.Pet Story did an amazing job with him, and when he came home, he has been so calm. They did a great cut and were so patient with him! This was my first time at Pet story and Im very pleased with everything. Lydia, who groomed my dog was professional, friendly and super nice. Inside the store was very clean and all staffs were friendly. I believe we finally found our permanent grooming place for my precious.

Pet Story is the place for our Zoe. This was our second grooming at Pet Story and it was great. Everyone there is so very friendly and helpful. We went with Jay as our groomer and she is great with Zoe!!! She is super friendly and more importantly, Zoe loves her. So, after jumping around from a brick-and-mortar groomer to a mobile groomer, we are very pleased we have finally settled with Pet Story. Also, if you want to treat your little one after getting groomed, they have a huge selection of treats to pick from. They are definitely the place to get your little one groomed.

I have brought my 11 year old senior mini Aussie Zoey to Pet Story for her last two full service Groomings and she has come back looking fresh and amazing each time. The groomers are attentive to what you ask for and do an excellent job with the wash, cut, and nails etc. To top it all off, Zoey’s groomings were scheduled around Christmas and Valentines Day, so after each grooming, later in the evening we received photos of Zoey posing with holiday backdrops. It was cute and hilarious that the groomers even took their time out to take photos at the end of each cut. The facilities are very clean and the store itself has anything you could ask for when it comes to your pet. We will be returning for a long time to come! Keep up the great work!

I am so glad they opened up the Long Island location. They do such a great job. We got the full service for our little girl and she looked so cute and smelled so nice. I love the fact they actually remember your dog and actually take care of her. Most importantly , our little girl is not stressed after grooming. All the staffs are so nice too. Definitely going back again.

Pet Story is the only place we trust for grooming. They are very friendly, professional, and clean. We used to take our dog here who sadly passed away and they took such great care of him. He always came home with a cute accessory around his neck. Our new puppy got his first grooming today and Jay did such a wonderful job. We are very happy and can’t recommend them enough!

AWESOME place for doggie daycare and boarding! The store is so clean and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We were visiting from Virginia and needed a place for my Golden Retriever to have fun as well. He is having so much fun with his new friends and loves people watching from the window. The boarding area is so spacious that my dog loves going inside. The store also has a HUGE treat and food selection. We forgot to pack his kibble and was able to find his favorite brand at the store. I would definitely recommend this store.

I took my 5 month old Bernedoodle here for his first grooming. He came out looking exactly like the picture I showed them. He did give them a little bit of a hard time since it was his first grooming, but they were great with him and still managed to make him look perfect!! I highly recommend this place! Pricing is comparable to other groomers. My pup loved his groomer and came out happy with his tail wagging and didn’t want to leave her! The store itself has a huge selection of toys, treats, clothes and basically everything you could need for your pup! I bought my puppy some baked goods for being such a good boy during grooming.

Ever since my Husky Max was groomed at Pet Story, he stops and gazes longingly across the street when we are on our walks, so I know he had a good experience! Also, the staff is friendly and they have great inventory!

Today was Yuki’s first groom. She’s a Morkie puppy. She is super shy. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by obvious dog lovers. I felt totally comfortable leaving her in their hands. Plus the store was super neat and clean, and they have a wide variety of the cutest toys and treats. When we picked her up she was cut and styled to perfection. We will definitely be back we pre-booked for six weeks since we’re keeping her fur extra long! Thanks again! She looks grumpy but here’s her adorable picture.

Brought my German Shepherd George to Pet Story for basic grooming. This is first time getting groomed by a professional and my first time having some else groom him. Fantastic service, polite, friendly and professional. Best dog groomers by far! Would highly recommend. Great services for great prices. Oh can’t forget those treats. I had been using the same groomer for my dogs over the course of approximately 25 years. When she left grooming for health reasons, I used several other groomers, but was so deeply unhappy with each one. I learned of this new facility, Pet Story, and figured I’d give them a try. Clara groomed my dog today and I love the way she looks! She was finally given the haircut I had been asking for. Clara asked a few questions when I dropped my dog off so she could understand what I was expecting and she did not disappoint. The staff at this facility are all very friendly and helpful.

I showed them pictures of how I wanted Kooper to look and that is exactly how he looks! People working there could not have been nicer and the price was not ridiculous like other places in Long Island! Thank you - we will be back!

I arrived at this location after already being a fan of NY Puppy Club in Flushing. I wanted to experience the expertise of one of their groomers, “Tina,” who had recently moved to the Mineola location. The fresh and bright Mineola store has no shortage of quality foods and supplies as I expected. However, I’m most impressed by Tina and her manager’s thorough attention to the details I desired with my Cavapoo’s cut. They also provided valuable suggestions for home grooming and how to minimize matting! My 1year old clearly loved the experience and wanted to spend more time kissing Tina when I picked her up. (Note: she’s always finished her appointments like ‘I love this place but get me out of here.’) I hope to return in the near future! This is the best cut ever!!

I’m in love with this place. My first time bringing my Labradoodle here for grooming and I am so pleased. The staff is so friendly, professional and thorough. The shop is clean and inviting. The grimmer Tina was so nice and did a wonderful job with grooming and taking car of my Missy; she came home very happy.

Grooming for my 17 year old Dachshund was top notch. It is hard trusting the care of my senior puppy to anyone. However, the staff at Pet Story was friendly, kind, gentle, and caring. They did a great job pampering my pet. We have found our new grooming place!

This was the worst experience ever. When I picked up my dog from grooming, something felt off. Upon closer examination, I saw that piece of his paw pad is literally nicked. Multiple lacerations throughout his body and his ear. My puppy was barking like crazy when I came to pick him up, which is very unusual, despite him being hyped. The groomer was not welcoming at all, read so many positive comments about her but clearly some were paid if not all. Anna was the groomer that took care of my dog, she was not welcoming, and even carried my dog like a suitcase when taking him to the back to get groomed. No support on chest, and almost choked my dog on the spot, after I heard him wheezing. I used to go here to buy regular pet supplies but the grooming was terrible. After coming home, my dog was hiding from us and resting in unusual places like underneath the bed or couch, which never happened before. When I try to play with him, he tucks his tail and runs away, which NEVER happened until I took him here for grooming. To the owner of the store: I love your place and you guys have great product, but please make sure the groomers are doing their job properly.

This is a well overdo review. This place has been nothing but wonderful and friendly whenever I bring in my dog. They groomers have done nothing but a wonderful job on him, they also always provide me such lovely photos of him after each grooming session. The staff is so attentive and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone that needs their dog groomed or a boarding facility or doggy daycare. Thank you guys for everything so far!

I take my Yorkie there for full grooming services. The staff is super friendly and the groomers always talk to you to make sure your pet gets the haircut you want. My dog is very nervous and jumpy, and in the past at other places, he’d come home with choppy or uneven haircuts. At Pet Story never! They’re super detailed, and make sure my dog looks his best! Could not recommend enough!!! 🐾

Pet Story in Mineola is fantastic! My dog used to be terrified of getting groomed, would whine and pull to get away from the first two that we tried. Now, shes pulling me into Pet Story to see her favorite groomer, Anna. Everyone that works here clearly has a deep love for pets, and they treat everyone with so much respect. The day care/boarding is great too. Really cant beat this one stop shop for all your pet needs!

We had a bad experience here. We arrived at 10:30 for our appointment only to stand at the crowded front desk for over 10 minutes waiting to be checked in. There were plenty of employees, but one was on the phone, another was ignoring customers, and the poor young lady tasked with doing the intakes was clearly in over her head. Sadly this place seems like a factory, and honestly I prefer to give my $ to a small business. I walked out and will take my dog elsewhere. Just be sure you vet these places before leaving your beloved family pet there.

This was my first time coming to Pet Story. From the second I walked in I was greeted with my dog by two nice ladies! They made me feel so comfortable! My groomer was Jane and she was beyond amazing! this is the first time I have had a groomer take all my requests on how I wanted my dog styled!! I have been using Pet Story for retail and grooming since they opened and have never been disappointed. My pup has a lot of food allergies but they have such a fantastic assortment of treats I can always get her favorites and try something new!I’ve been very happy with all of her grooms, and she always goes in and comes out happy which is the most important thing to me. When we used a mobile groomer she would start to shake at the sound of their truck approaching, while she pulls me into Pet Story, more focused on the tasty treats and getting attention and pets. The owners and staff are all super friendly and helpful and the place is clean and professional. Highly recommend!

I take my Shihpoo - Oreo to Pet story for grooming. I have been very happy with them. Jane, who’s one of the groomers is so nice to talk to, knowledgeable and very gentle with Oreo. When I first took Oreo there, she was very badly matted. Other grooming places advised to shave her which I didn’t want. Pet Story was the only place that was patient and did their best. We ended up not shaving her fully. Damian who is the owner I think advised on what brush and comb to use to brush Oreo. Very happy and satisfied with the place

The staff at Pet Story is always kind and professional . The groomers all have a calming presence and do a beautiful job grooming my 15 yr old shih tzu and my 2 yr old shihporkie! I definitely recommend them.

Gracious front desk staff & owner, Damien.Greatly appreciated the cat dental care tips from Kara. The store is a lot of fun 🤩 to shop in and peruse. This is the only place with warm staff & affordable cat grooming prices. Dental brushing is $20. Nail trimming $20.if they are not able to brush the cat’/ teeth, they will not charge for it.

This was the first time my puppy went to get a haircut and she was scared, the haircut she got made her look so adorable, they were very professional and kind to my puppy.

The second time I visited Pet Story, the male manager at this store was super courteous and nice, he gave me a great deal on canned cat food. He also went above and beyond as I was leaving, helped me with maneuvering my car out of their tight parking lot..Today I went back to see what they had on sale for wet cat food and this young girl at the register, on my receipt the name says Daeman Y). She wasn’t very accommodating, seemed a bit obnoxious, but I had no choice to find someone else, so had to deal. She asked for my customer profile, I didn’t have one, so she took extra time to create one for me. I was just buying one can of cat food, so this was taking a lot longer than I expected.She was going to honor my manufacturer’s coupon, but there wasn’t enough cans in stock to honor the quantity and then she also went to ask someone in the back, told me they now couldn’t accept coupons on clearance items. The retailer will still get reimbursed, so don’t see what the issue would be.I will find another place that will allow me to use my manufacturer’s coupon without being given any hassle.

We bring both our skiddish dogs here for nail trims and everyone is nice and welcoming to our doggos. Also price is good, 10$ for a nail trim is great! Happy to support and shop local. Thanks per story!

First of all the people working here clearly have experience with animals. Our dog is typically nervous with strangers but with everyone working there she felt so comfortable. One of the gentlemen working there prepares the dog friendly treats at home and was kind enough to give us a sample to take home after he gave our boxer a sample herself. And I haven’t even gotten started on the food and treat selection! They have almost everything you can think of. Toy selection is amazing as well. My wife, our doggie and I will definitely be back very soon. *EDIT* so we’ve been going here for a few years now and they are still absolutely awesome! The treats are always fresh, so many options and from speaking to the folks working there I would absolutely trust anything they have on their shelves. And they are very knowledgeable of everything on the shelves so they can really stand behind their products. Like I mentioned our dog can be a little timid with strangers but she is aways comfortable going here even to get her nails trimmed. No one really treats our baby the way these nice people do :)

Not all surprising they have such incredible reviews— an immaculately clean, well curated shop with extremely helpful staff who remember you and the pets you’re shopping for— I’m a cat owner and can’t speak personally to their grooming services but have heard great things! Every time I visit I leave happy because it’s so nice to have such a warm shopping experience.

They have foggy daycare and boarding with live web cam so you can view pet st any time. Also offers dog walk to ge them put of the room.

Pet Story is always a great place to go to for pet items from food, toys, even daycare for your Dogs. The service from the workers are on point. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I love coming to Pet Story cause they carry organic food which is hard to find. Look for the 50% selves in the checkout you will find great deals. When you do come to visit don’t forget to park on the side they have plenty of side parking which is a plus on the busy Jericho turnpike.

This was a very positive grooming experience!! I just moved to Mineola and my usual groomer is far away. The staff was so friendly and nice. Making an appointment online was super easy and convenient. I loved that they called to confirm our appointment. There are Sunday hours as well which really helps when you work all week. Clara was so nice and caring with my dog and did an amazing job. My dog is usually so nervous but he liked her right away!! The store is immaculate, clean and bright and extremely well stocked. Excellent customer service. My puppies love going to the day care. They actually take us to the door that leads to the play area. When they come home they are exhausted from playing. I love it here! Not only are the people/workers so sweet, but they offer the best services! My dog got her first official haircut and they did not disappoint! I almost cried because she came out looking like an absolute princess. The care that they also gave to her was so heartwarming. Ive never been to a groomer that cared so much for my dogs need. I really dont write reviews but these groomers deserve it! My groomer was Clara and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so attentive on what i wanted for my dog and she was so kind and transparent! These are the only groomers I can trust! It was also worth the cost. It may have taken longer than expected but that is because they do their job so well and with such detail! I was actually very emotional when I saw my pup right after because she looked so good (not to be dramatic lol). Nevertheless, they wont disappoint!

Staff is very pleasant and friendly. I brought my short hair mini dachshund in for a bath. They safely cut her nails and brushed her teeth. The store is well kept and clean. They have a wide variety of dog food brands (they carry Fromm which is the brand I feed my pup) and I was very impressed with their “treat bar”. Great place!

I just picked my dog up from Pet Story and she looks stunning. She’s 13 years old and looks like a puppy. Their excellence in service is absolutely amazing. In my opinion during the past 13 years she has never had a better haircut. I would not take my dog anywhere else. Give them a try you will not be sorry and you will never take your pet anywhere else. In addition there a store is clean and very well organized. There isn’t anything that you would need for your pet that you cannot find there and at very reasonable prices.

Pet Story not only is one stop shopping in pet food ( they sell every good brand of pet food ) but they sell many different treats , toys , accessories , clothing and just about anything you want to buy your pet. They also do day care and grooming . I haven’t tried the day care yet but the grooming has been excellent. They listen to what you want and you end up with perfect results. I’m pretty happy with this place. They are friendly and always ready to help and give good advice. Five stars for sure !

I have a Siberian Husky and they are not easy to groom by any means. The staff at Pet Story was friendly, warm, extremely patient with mypup and welcomed us with open arms. They were particularly knowledgeable about the grooming specifics pertaining to the husky breed and took such good care of my girl. 5 stars for customer service! Everyone there is super sweet and they love my pup. They have a large selection of food brands, snacks and toys. A newer addition, little homemade donut treats that one of the groomers make! They are healthy and do not have many ingredients…i.e. puréed pumpkin with coconut or peanut butter etc..they are adorable and tasty for sure…my pup loved the pumpkin one :)

Really love this place in Mineola. Took my pup for a full grooming service and stayed for an hour just chatting with the family and picking up a few things for my dog. Big bonus is that they carry my dogs wet food as well as a wide variety of other foods and products. It’s always a great experience when I come here with my dog. They even make their own treats for pets. definitely recommend this place.

Such wonderful service. I buy two dog biscuits for a birthday and the owner packs them in a box filled with other treats. How sweet is that!! Additionally, I have an extremely anxious dog who wont let me near her nails when they need to be trimmed. Pet Story greeted her, took her and she was back in five minutes, happy as can be. Great place and great grooming and bathing place. Inexpensive services and the people there are so nice and attentive. Sofia was great. I arrived and it was like she knew me already. She most definitely makes the place feel friendly as me welcoming. Thank you for a great experience and I will definitely be back. Oh....almost forgot. The parking lot is the worse. Street parking or some other place would be a better option.

Brought our 1 year old Yorkie here for a grooming and we couldn’t have been happier with the results! The staff was incredibly friendly and the store was clean and inviting for a puppy. The grooming was great as well!

Nice new pet store conveniently located that offers grooming, doggy daycare and overnight stays as well. We had our Goldendoodle groomed there last weeks and were very satisfied with the results. Boarding and play area are clean. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner has 20 years experience with two other locations. Plenty of parking as well. We would highly recommend

This store is incredible. They have everything for and they do everything for - baths, boarding, day care - your pet as well. The workers and the owner are both kind and helpful. The variety of the merchandise is unmatched. The quality of the special gourmet treats at the counter is phenomenal. I am going back to re-stock next weekend - and the weekend after that, and the one after that, and probably every day in the summer. I am so glad they opened in this neighborhood.

I’m so happy they are here! I take my dog all the way to flushing (other store/same owner) for nail cut while he does that I get to stay a bit in the store and I LOVE IT. Their day care is fantastic and their staff are all great people. Also they have this natural treats they make human grade, you can find them in the middle of the store, my dog loves them… he is delicate and picky 😍💚. We will be coming here since they are closer.Update* FANTASTIC TOOK MY DOG FOR NAIL TRIM HE LOVED IT!

Chichi has been groomed there over the years and I and I am pleased. The staff is warm and friendly. I would like to board him there all the fur babies seem to get along.

Everyone working here are dog crazy! They love our animals and go out of their way to make both your canine friend & you comfortable. Their loving care was obvious when I picked up Miss Paisley and you could see how much she loved her groomer Clara! Making the appointment was simple and Paisley was treated with love & affection. She looked beautiful too!

It was a wonderful experience! The groomers and employees at Pet story are so caring. They groomed my dog beautifully and then took pictures of her in front of their Christmas tree. When we picked her up they gave us a wallet sized photo of her and a completeWrite up of how she behaved and tips on what to do between groomings. I highly recommend them!

Pet Story has clean glass doored “rooms” for Gracie and a large outdoor themed playroom. The staff is accommodating and clearly love their jobs. The price is fair (and I always add a wash so she comes home looking like the princess she is). I still hate leaving her behind, but the great people at Pet Story make it a little easier.

I took my dogs to Pet Story in Mineola today. First time getting groomed there. I was so impressed by how clean it was. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain what they were going to do with my dogs. I am so happy I finally found a local place to take my pets to for grooming and for boarding when I need it. The prices for boarding are very reasonable and the pet food and pet needs are extremely reasonable as well. I very highly recommended Pet Story in Mineola! 5 ++++ Stars

Great store. This was our first visit to the store since it opened. It is clean and bright. So we’ll stocked with all of the toys, treats, food, beds, etc for my 1 year old golden doodle. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Attentive but not pushy. My excitable pup was calm and happy in the store. Especially around the dog treat bar! I will definitely be returning for my dog’s regular items.

I really like this place. Sophie was so patient and helpful in assisting me to find products for my senior dog. She really took time to help me and answer my questions. I’ve already been back several times. Their service is what sets them apart from the big chain stores
