We love Goosepond! The staff is kind and courteous, as are all of the techs and vets! Our Boxer, who has ongoing health issues, loves going and getting spoiled by everyone. They are honest and accommodating, which is not the norm these days. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Alwang has been taking care of my pets for years. Not only is he knowledgeable, he is compassionate and loving. My animals sense his kind heart and seem to fall in love with him immediately! My dog, Gracie, was recently seen by Doctor Alwang for her annual checkup and was completely comfortable in his presence! He even clipped her nails without any resistance on her part (usually she’s very agitated) and got a peanut butter treat when she was finished! We always look forward to coming to GOOSEPOND and recommend them every chance we get! Dr. Alwang is the BEST!!!

Ive been going to Goosepond for over 20 years. My most recent visit was probably the best ever. They are undergoing some construction. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The techs were awesome. They talked to my pup the way I do, as a family member with thoughts and feelings! They were thorough and made sure I had all the information I needed including how to and when to reach them for any questions. I felt my pup and I were in the best hands!

Trying to find the right fit with a vet can take time. We’ve tried a few other providers and finally found our vet here at Goosepond.Our penny is nervous around new people and can be a little difficult. We’ve actually never encountered a more understanding staff. Everyone from the reception area to the vet techs were amazing.The facility is clean, the staff is great, and they don’t make you come in or order prescriptions directly from them. This has been a pain point for us in the past, other providers in the area force you to come in and get a paper prescription or order directly through them at a 2-10x markup.

Took my dog last month for his end of life and they were so compassionate and made the entire process as bearable as can be. I also take my other dog there for all of his medical needs and they are always so understanding and their pricing is reasonable.

Not happy. The front desk should be trained on when an emergency call comes In. Telling me you have appointment on Monday is unexceptable. Offer some information maybe someone else could be done not brush me off. My dog is a patient there. I felt no compassion at all. I called goshen dog hospital and they cared and listen and offered a solution and was willing to see Jack. That’s how it should be done I’m very unhappy with this office. Seems like you just want money

Goosepond animal hospital has such wonderful clinical staff. From the moment we enter an exam room we feel at ease and we have complete faith and trust in the veterinarians our dog sees. We have been taking her since we got her as a puppy and will continue to use them for her and any other animals we may get in the future. They treat Roxy like she was one of their own pets. Very satisfied.

We have GS and just moved from NJ. We first went to Monroe Animal Hospital. It was bad all around. Several Dog owners recommended Goosepond, so we switched and it was THE BEST experience. Everyone is very nice and accommodating, the place is clean and doctors are knowledgeable. Our dog had pneumonia and got misdiagnosed in Monroe Animal. Doctors here saved our almost 1.5 year old! The prices are definitely lower than in other places and appointments are quick. I recommend this place to everyone!

Great place and takes care of my dog perfectly and is upfront and very honest with me and my family. Highly recommend taking your pets here (they don’t do small pets like hamsters, crabs, head hogs) stuff like that, but they do dogs cats etc of course!

The vets misdiagnosis led to my cats quick unexpected death. I took my cat in for a limp and and they checked him out. They knew his old age and didnt think of a possibly that the limp could be from a clot from heart failure even though that is a symptom of it. Instead of looking into it more especially after hearing a murmur in his heart, they insisted it was just a sprain and prescribed Brupenex which is a pain medication, but little do they know that Brupenex is not suppose to be given to cats with heart failure and can cause respiratory distress among other issues. They didnt even tell me the side effects it can cause and I just trusted them...Lets just say after I started giving my cat Brupenex and it started going downhill fast. He started developing a cough and was not eating and just getting worse by the day. I called the vet for them to tell me they are going to call me back. A few hours later I didnt hear from them and I call back and they tell me..sorry the doctor is on vacation and someone will get back to you tomorrow. So they just let my cat rot for another day without eating and on the wrong meds. I finally get to take him in the next day and they do more testing to find out that he has heart failure and is really bad and they tell me I should put him to sleep now. While the vet is telling me all this with a smurk she tells me only people with a lot of money would be able to treat a cat at this point. So instead of them giving me meds that would of helped, they gave me meds that cause his rapid decline and death. After auguring with them and telling them how Brupenex caused a quick death, they denied it and handed me a $800 bill, but I did get a free thank you from them... Please if your pet has a limp, dont just think it is a sprain where it can be a sign of heart failure and read up on the meds they give you.

The doctors and staff are very caring, gentle and sympathetic at Goosepond Animal Hospital. We have two kitties that are 8 yrs old and have been going there since they arrived in our home.

Brought in my 10 month old Frenchie Margil for spay, microchip, and cherry eye surgery. Margil was very well taken care of. Not only did the vet tech explain what was happening before and after her surgeries, but the vet sent us home with a comprehensive note of what to do, expect, and look out for in her recovery. I received a call the next morning to check in on her and how she was doing. Such an attentive and caring staff.

Love this place! Very attentive to our two cats. We went with our cat who was not feeling well. They were very gentle with him and knew what was wrong with him(upset tummy). Gave us good advice and now he is back to normal. Would definitely recommend.

Have been using Goosepond for over 30 years. Always able to accommodate us when we need them and takes awesome care of our cats and giant dogs.

First most, they always fail to write the prescriptions, each time I went I always got turned away at my pharmacy because their was always an issue. They never add refills for my dog who has seizures and was already taking TWO types of medications, they knew how he was yet they never fill in any refills or write the prescription correctly. They weren’t clear enough and led to my dog having to be put down due to their incompetence. The prescription they wrote wasn’t correct and we weren’t able to get the medication. My dog had more than 20 seizures/convulsions and unfortunately we had to put him down. The people here don’t have urgency. They don’t communicate well with non-english speakers!! Go somewhere else if you’re dog suffers with epilepsy.

Have always had a great experience with Goosepond Animal Hospital with our pets. This is our 3rd dog who we have been bringing to Goosepond. As a rescue, he had heartworm issues in the beginning, which the staff at Goosepond were extremely helpful getting us through. Very organized, friendly and professional.

They havent taken any new pets for over 6 months with no idea when theyll be servicing the community again. When I called to inquire, a woman was abrupt on the phone, unhelpful and flip. They have a really good reputation so I guess they are not in the need for new patients. I took my fur baby to a reputable vet elsewhere in the neighborhood who we just love! Thankful.

Staff is very kind and patient. I am a helicopter mom with my dog and they are always so great. Last visit was with Dr Ashley Davis and I loved her! So informative and excellent with my dog.

Our 9 month old puppy ate a piece of a dog toy and needed immediate surgery. Dr. Alwang and his team took great care of him and returned him to us the same day. Despite his stitches and cone he is ready to play with his dog sibs. The dog toy was returned to us and now hangs from our Christmas tree.

They want your dog and one year old to stay in a hot car while you wait for your appointment, because they refuse to lift their COVID restrictions. They even suggested I leave my one year old in the car unattended on a 95 degree day, during my dogs appointment because only one person is allowed inside during an appointment. They obviously only care about the money and not the lives. Find yourself a better vet, I know I am.

I use Flannery for emergencies and they have always been great. They quickly assess emergencies and when necessary will come out with vet to triage immediately. I love the 24 hr service because my emergencies always happen at night. Right now there are no overnight weekend hours because there is no doctor, but that will change when they find a new doctor. They have saved my pets lives many times over the years. Always clear about medical plan for your pet and give a hi and lo range estimate of costs. They are expensive but all quality pet care is. Pet Insurance is a must.

Staff is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and circumspect. They return phone calls, are willing to give you as much time as you need to get the information you need to make an informed decision about your pet. They don’t suggest likely futile interventions or unnecessary diagnostics. Really can’t say enough good things about them.

The team at Goosepond Animal Hospital are knowledgeable, professional and really care about your animals. This is why I have been using them for all my dogs for the past 9 years.

If it was not for the malpractice of the vet at Goosepond Animal Hospital on July 6, 2023, theres an excellent chance my cat would still be alive today. While writing this review wont bring him back, it may certainly help somebody else from going through the heartbreak and loss we have. I brought my cat in as he was acting lethargic, and not eating. During the exam, when the vet went to touch his tail as if to look under it, he gave a slight growl. She stopped and said, hes upset already I dont want to make it any worse. They then took him to the back and without discussing any of his treatment with me withdrew blood, gave him a 14 day injected antibiotic because he was running a temperature, and anti-nausea medicine. My bill was over $500 and I left with no diagnosis or explanation as to what may be wrong.They gave me no medicine or advice to assist with stimulating his appetite and said they didnt even know why he had a temperature. The next day, my cat got up from lying down and there was a puddle of pus under him. I rushed him to another vet and they did do a thorough exam and found that his anal gland had ruptured. His hind area was so traumatized, raw skin and oozing pus he needed to be sedated to thoroughly be cleaned and he then needed painkillers and a stronger antibiotic. He was also now on day 5 of no eating so the new vet also prescribed an appetitive stimulant which unfortunately took another couple of days to get here because it was a Friday. He received continued and excellent care at the 2nd vet office and while his wound was slowly healing, he required a lot of care and the initial impact of the infected gland and subsequent rupture was so painful, infected, and traumatizing he died in my arms 10 days later. Thorough research, and discussion with the other vet, revealed if Goosepond had checked his rear, diagnosed the impacted anal gland (red flag when he growled!), and lanced and cleaned the anal gland it wouldnt have ruptured causing the catastrophic injury. I disputed my $500+ credit card bill and on July 15th received a call and voicemail from an unknown number. A Christopher Alwang (Chief of Staff) left a message saying hed like to speak with me about what happened and to call back but also that he was going away on vacation. He didnt leave a number so I called Goosepond back and asked to speak with him, and the staff who answered (who said their name was Victoria), acted shocked that I would dare ask to speak with him and then put me on hold and came back saying theres no record of him calling you. I asked if she was accusing me of lying to which she repeated, theres no record of him calling you and hes on vacation. I assured her he left a voicemail and to tell him to call me. She clearly still did not believe me and asked how my cat was, to which I replied dead. Its been 9 days since then with no return call from Christopher. You expect those in the veterinary field of medicine to actually care about their patients. This office clearly cares more about their bottom line, did not conduct a thorough exam and yet had no problem charging for it, lacked communication with the pet owner prior to running tests or administering medications, and did no follow up whatsoever on the $250+ blood work they drew and sent off. There are better veterinary choices, and if you love your furry family member as much as I loved mine, I implore you to choose a better vet office.

Absolutely Amazing. They are affordable, intelligent, and caring. The go above and beyond. They helped me in my lowest lows of pet ownership. Even helped me subdue a menacing dog through the phone and helped get police help. And that was over the phone! They care about their patients and patient parents. There are know words to describe my full gratitude.

This is a huge facility with a large waiting room. I was a little worried the service wouldnt feel personal, but I was wrong. I saw the staff interacting with all the pets waiting and they were very loving and patient with even the most stubborn/skittish pet. The front desk staff was nice, and the follow up care was good as well. They even called before I could reach out to them to follow up the morning after I placed a call to their answering service who referred us to the pet ER.Weve been going here for several years now and its nice that they dont push unnecessary procedures. My dog is getting old and they were very thorough with his exam but also very gentle with him as they evaluated his issue. The vet discussed all the alternatives and was great at answering all of my questions. They even diagnosed a problem that tests couldnt pick up and he started getting better after just two days.

No matter when Im there, ALL of the staff is so kind and loving to my dog. And so nice to me. They go above and beyond for their pet patients!! LOVE THIS PLACE

BE WARNED: THIS VET IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. Goosepond provided shockingly poor care and neglected to identify a severe health issue my pet was facing; my second-opinion vet immediately helped. On top of this, Goosepond is guilty of sharply overcharging for entirely unrelated work. Goosepond will, without a doubt, hurry your pet in and out as quickly as possible, and milk every dollar they can out of the visit. Avoid at all costs.

We have brought our dogs to this establishment for over 25 years and they are exceptional, compassionate and professional. We just recently had to put our beloved pet to sleep after he was diagnosed with cancer and they couldnt have been kinder. Thank you all for taking care of our babies!

Switched from another vets office to Goosepond last year. All the docs are wonderful as well as the receptionists and techs. In a short span they treated all my animals for different things and they received excellent care . I am very happy to have my pets under their care now . I wish I switched sooner . Highly recommend.

When I lived locally I began going to Goosepond Animal Hospital. That was in 1995. After moving 45 minutes away, I tried a vet closer to my new home, but they couldnt measure up, so I immediately returned to Goosepond. They have saved the lives of my pets on more than 1 occasion and I couldnt imagine having the same trust in any other vets. I will always, only take my pets to Goosepond.

Have used them on a limited basis for many years for our shelter animals and just recently taking majority of our animals there. Staff is the absolute best!! Its nice to deal with someone if theres a mistake or miscommunication they take responsibility. ALWAYS been greeted with a smile. These people truly love the animals that come through the doors. The Vets that I have met have been thorough and make you feel welcome.

The doctors and staff are friendly, helpful and thoughtful. The waiting area is clean and cozy. The rooms where you meet with the doctor are also clean and functional. Reason for 4 stars, they are somewhat expensive. When you have more than one pet, it hurts the wallet. Unfortunately, I dont know if a less expensive vet exists that has such a nice group of people.

Goosepond animal hospital is the best. They found a way to fit my dog in when she wasnt feeling well and we were out of our minds with concern. The doctor and tech were very carefully and compassionate with our dog while searching for the cause of her problem. I highly recommend them.

What an outstanding vet. Dr. Scarano has helped in treating our dog and she has been nothing but professional and attentive. Our dog has a prior gun shot injury that the Dr has taken extensive time to monitor and ensure no future complications. The staff is made up of a wonderful mix of people who have always had a positive interaction with our animals. They are friendly and very affordable!

I love the actual vet and techs at Goosepond, but if you want to get spoken down to and receive an nasty attitude from Mary at the front desk. This is definitely the place to go. I completely understand a bad day, but Ive been dealing with Mary having a bad day and being nasty and unfriendly for over 3 years. I cant take her poor customer service anymore. Looks like I will be taking my 3 dogs and cat elsewhere because of Mary.

Goosepond has always been my go to Vet for my animals. They have tried so hard to help and treat all of their issues. I’ve encountered nothing but kindness from the vets, vet techs and the front office.

Dr. Alwang is wonderful. I miss Dr. Rothenberg, who retired, but was so pleased that Dr. Alwang had the same approach with pets, very caring and thorough. The staff also was so kind.

My wife and I have brought our collies here for about 15 years. The staff at the desk and vet tech/doctors have always been exceptional. They were always kind and compassionate as well as highly trained.We highly recommend this hospital.

My dogs have been patients of Dr. Rothenberg for about 12 years.He is by far one of the most caring and compassionate people you will ever meet, which are extremely important attributes in a vet.His staff is excellent as well.

We have been using Goosepond for over 35 years. They have been nothing but loving and caring towards our animals. Ive had emergencies with my cats and they saw them right away. They have kept them for the day to keep an eye on them. The staff is wonderful and friendly. I cant say enough about how fantastic they all are.

My little girl gets good care and understanding as she is not always happy. I get a happier healthier dog.

The front end service is not what it used to be. They need to get there appointment book in order and customer service training revised. It appears they double book now too. We made the appointment today for 10:20am. When walking in the door at 10:28, the receptionist was already calling my home to confirm we were still coming. She was rude on the phone while I stood there listening. We sat there until 11:am, unseen by anyone. We then got up letting them know how long we waited, pls cancel the appointment and they literally stared back silent like Deer in headlights lol. This ended a 15 year long relationship.

Unfortunately my dog suffers from severe epileptic seizures that requires dedicated care. Many times I was left to the mercy to figure it out on my own, as well as being rudely turned away for VITAL medication refills. Not at all acknowledging the severity that my dog was going to die in an emergency. Thank God for Goshen Animal Hospital!

Been coming here for a few years they are friendly with my dogs. But, the wait time is a little ridiculous. We came in at 9:50 for a 10:00 appointment. 4 animals were seen before us and we werent seen until 10:55 for a 10 minute visit. Also, the vets are a little blunt and lack empathy. I think its time we start looking for a new vet.

Everyone at Goosepond Animal hospital is really great. I have two Corgis - Butch and Brigid - and I have seen every doctor there. They are all great vets and their support staff is wonderful too. I have to go every 6 weeks or so as one my guys has an allergy which he needs to get shots.

Led by Dr. Howard Rothenberg, Chief of Staff, I must say that his entire Goosepond Animal Hospital Team are phenomenal!The front desk personnel are (always) very nice and professional!His supporting care team are extremely thorough, compassionate and truly understanding.My sons Chorkie, (Rocco) injured his hind leg this morning while taking a misstep.I immediately brought him to Goosepond and everyone who was on duty, were absolutely phenomenal!!As always, Dr. Rothenberg handled Rocco with extreme carefulness and gentleness while examining his hind leg.He explained everything to me while he was taking care of Rocco.Rocco will be ok and I owe Dr. Rothenberg and the gentleman who assisted him, A HUGE THANK YOU!Goosepond Animal Hospital ….. Its a shame this vet went down hill. They became corporate and it seems all there after is the money. Prices are high and the girls in the front are always rude like they dont want to be there(with the exception of one or 2). The main dr is great but its hard to get him. They had a young girl vet that they got rid of but she had told us that our cat was dying and to put her to sleep, I got a 2nd opinion and our cat lived another 5 years. If we would have listened we would of put her down on the spot. We were never offered anything but a sorry, no discount , no refund, they just said she no longer works there. Keep in mind we have been bringing animals here for 20+ years and we have had many animals at all times. Like I said they used to be our familys go to, but after that insident and how it was treated as not a big deal we have been turned away. We also brought our new dog in and its always a maybe this will work or a lets try and see. Not very confidence inspiring. Brought him to q different vet and the problem was cleared up quick, no maybes or guesses. And like I stated previous they are much higher priced then other vets. Look around and ask around I am not the only person to have had problems in the last few years here.

They care deeply about the pets & their families. They also were very accomodating & willing to help me with a feral cat that I had been caring for. Even though he was wild, they did everything they could to try to help him with his injuries & a sad condition. They cared about him as if he were one of our housecats that we bring to them. Check in was quick, the vet and vet tech (and the receptionist staff!) were very informative during my cats annual visit, and it maybe took 15-20ins in total! Ive always brought my pets here and will continue to do so.

Very caring and capable doctors. Always a good experience. Id like to personally thank Dr.Rothenberg for his genuine care and concern for the animals hes treats. He called my home to check up on my dog after our visit. How many doctors do that for HUMANS??? So im considering him as MY primary care doctor for myself...,lol. my doctor has never called me, And thats after I had surgery. Good Job Dr.Rothenberg, me and my dog are so great full to you!

Can’t say enough good things about the hospital and Dr. Rothenberg. They’ve been taking care of my family cats since we moved to Orange County in 2000, and I now have my own kittens, who became suddenly ill, and Dr. Rothenberg found the time to care for them and ensure they’d be okay. Can’t thank them enough for taking care of my babies, Melman and Almond.

I really like the staff and they are great with my dog but the prices of the medication literally keeps going up every several months. Not sure if it’s the manufacturer price increase or the hospitals increase.
