Getting my Frenchie from Ethical Frenchie was the BEST decision! From the start, Renee was amazing. She answered all my questions (and I had a lot!) through emails, phone calls, and even FaceTime. I was a total newbie to Frenchies, but Renee was so patient and helpful, guiding me through everything.I got my little guy when he was just 8 weeks old and now he is almost a year and a half, and hes super healthy! Ethical Frenchie clearly cares about their pups from day one. Ive always fed him fresh food (Ollies, Farmers Dog, Spot & Tango) and avoided kibble. I believe thats made a big difference in his health. You pay for quality food now, or pay later in vet bills!I cant recommend Ethical Frenchie (and Renee!) enough. If youre looking for a Frenchie breeder who truly cares, this is the place!

We had the best experience getting our dog from Ethical Frenchie! They are extremely well informed about the breed and helped answer all our questions along the way, and for months after we got him. I cannot recommend Ethical Frenchie enough! Renee has been absolutely amazing since the beginning. Fast forward 3 months, and I still cannot thank her enough for her constant responsiveness, help and support. We get stopped on the street every five minutes in regard to how healthy, well behaved and adorable our little guy is. The vet said that he’s the quietest breathing frenchie that he’s ever seen! I truly am so grateful that we found such a loving and responsible breeder and I hope to have a frenchie clan from EF in the future!

I purchased a beautiful French Bulldog from ethical Frenchie and I could not be happier with my fur baby! I did so much research on breeders locally and across the country. I am located in Pennsylvania and I am lucky that they are not too far from me. I have two other frenchies that came from Indiana. From the moment I connected with them I could tell how much they care and put into making sure the home these pups are going to is a safe and loving place! My girl is happy and healthy! I of course checked and rechecked previous reviews and I always look at the “lowest” reviews first. There is no way the couple reviews could be legit! I’m not going to lie reading them made me skeptical, however, I went with my gut, and I am so happy I did. Purchasing a French bulldog is a huge commitment and obviously not cheap, but I could not be happier. I was provided with all of her medical records as well as provided with the name of the vet she had been seeing since birth. I brought her to my vet, who specializes in brachycephalic dogs and he said she is very healthy and he saw not a single issue. Tested her stool and not parasites or worms. If you are like me and love frenchies, but of course want a healthy baby to bring home to your family I am telling you from experience you can trust going with ethical frenchies for your new addiction to your family!

We recently acquired a wonderful Frenchie puppy from Ethical Frenchie. Renee was wonderful to work with, very responsive to my questions and also interviewed me to make sure her puppy was going to a good, loving home. “Pippa” is a very sweet, well socialized happy puppy and we are having so much fun with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I had been following Renee and the crew on social media for a year before getting our little Lucy. She spent time on the phone with me to walk me through the process, making sure I had everything I needed to a successful transition. Even after we got Lucy, Renee followed up with us for a few weeks to make sure all was well - she even gave us some home remedies for when we had some puppy sniffles. We are so in love with our frenchie and couldn’t be happy with her!

I couldnt be happier finding ethical frenchie one day looking through Google because I didnt want to go through conventional pet store. Unlike those places, when I reached out to inquire about the puppies, Renee got back to me pretty quickly. She was very helpful every step of the process. She provided medical history for my pup and a list of product recommendations. When the day came to finally meet our new baby she came to our apartment and even gave us the the pet carrier he arrived in. She made sure he was okay the first few nights after he transitioned and we have maintained in contact incase of anything.Spike is such a bundle of joy. Just shy of a year ago my family surprised with with the most precious French bulldog from ethical frenchie. Renee helped my parents plan the arrival of my puppy so they could surprise me and was there to help me every step along the way when I had a question. Ethical frenchie breeds the most beautiful French bulldogs - someone comes up to me in the streets of NYC everyday and tells me she is the cutest dog they have ever seen, not exaggerating! She also had the sweetest demeanor and is an amazing companion. She just turned a year old and I know in the future I will be contacting ethical frenchie for a sister for her! Finally getting a chance to write a review for Ethical Frenchie. From the day I showed interest in getting a Frenchie, to the day Ethical Frenchie hand delivered the puppy to our apartment, the experience was nothing but positive. I was extremely impressed with the amount of follow up after Ahsoka was dropped off. They reached out that night, the next morning and several additional times to make sure she was settling in with her new family. Early 2020, my boyfriend and I moved into a house that he purchased. He always joked around about getting a French Bulldog, but I did not think it would happen in 2020.We reached out to Ethical Frenchie in June. We immediately received a response and were set up with a phone call/interview. Before the phone call, we were sent reading material about Frenchies and also how to care for this breed.We spent 20+ minutes on the first phone call. We told them about our living situation and our lifestyle and how this was going to be our first dog, as neither of us had dogs or other pets growing up. Ethical Frenchie was great. They were very informative and let us know in-depth abut French Bulldogs and di warn us that this dog needed a lot of attention and care.We were told at the time they were going to get partner puppies soon. When they arrived, we were set up with a video meet and greet (no in persons as this was the heigh of COVID-19). We were able to meet three different puppies and were told about their personalities.After making our choice, the people behind Ethical Frenchie came to our house in Brooklyn and we met in person and were given our 9-week old Eloise (we kept her name) on July 1. Since then, our experience has been great. James and his team are very responsive and even 3.5 months later, we still text them with questions and they check up on how Eloise is doing.Eloise is a happy, mischievous puppy and we are very happy to have her a part of the family. Ethical Frenchie was a great choice because we could tell they were very passionate and knowledgeable about Frenchies. We got our pup from Ethical Frenchie in Spring 2021. They provided a lot of photos, videos, parents’ health screening. We had a lot of questions and they happily answered all of them on a FaceTime video call. They also asked us to read a few informational articles about the breed before committing. Once we committed, they have an organized hub where you can get all vaccination records and puppy essentials. Handoff went smoothly. They still check in with us from time to time. Our little guy is happy, healthy, and well-socialized from birth. He’s great with humans (young and old), dogs (big and small), and city noises. If you’re considering this breed, do your research, know what to ask, and reach out to them to see if it’s a good fit. We were happy with our experience! It was my first time in the market for a dog so I was overly cautious searching for the right breeder. We found Ethical Frenchie and couldnt be happier. The website alone was more thorough than some of the interactions we had with other breeders. It felt right after making our way through the website and our zoom meeting with Renee that we would buy from Ethical Frenchie. You can see how well she interacted with the puppies on the call and how genuinely she cared for them. The whole process was thorough and she happily answered all of our first timer questions. She continuously followed up with us after the dog was dropped off to make we were all settled in and everything was going well. I got my puppy from Renee around last Christmas and have nothing but positive experiences with her and my puppy. Our girl is very healthy and expressive, and is very active as well. I spoke with Renee with a myriad of questions about whether or not I was ready for the purchase of a French bulldog. From the moment I started communicating with her, it became apparent that the welfare of her dogs is far more important then the sale of them. She was completely honest and open about what is required to care for one of her French bulldogs. I was immensely impressed with how much these animals meant to her. After careful consideration I came to the conclusion with her guidance that I was not yet ready for the purchase of a Frenchie. When my family and I decide that the time is right to make that purchase, we will be sure to do business with Renee and ethical Frenchie.

Long overdue! About a week before thanksgiving, and after a lot of thinking and research, we knew we wanted a French bulldog. So happy we came across this group of people. These little pups are well taken care of. They were extremely prompt in answering any of my questions/concerns. Renee, Ely, and James were all very welcoming and reassured that I was purchasing a little pup who is healthy and had received her vaccinations which they provided documentation. Also, they provide helpful information in regards to grooming, diet, etc. Process was smooth from start to finish, they even scheduled a FaceTime call so that I could see our little pup! It was just our luck that the day that we inquired about a pup, they had one female left. Our little Kona is adorable! And now we’re thinking of having another Frenchie sometime in the future — will definitely reach out to Ethical Frenchie again!

You call your business ethical, but you practice unethical selective breeding to produce fashionable colors (e.g., Merle [worst health issues], blue, lilac, tan), blue-eyed dogs, or fluffy French Bulldogs, yet you dont selectively breed to produce longer snouts which would lessen the suffering that brachycephaly causes. You and your affiliate unethical breeders are intentionally breeding French Bulldogs dogs with known GENETICDEFECTS/ANOMALIESthat the uneducated or perhaps educated, but uncaring public sees as designer physical characteristics worthy of Tik Tok and Instagram. The TRUTH is they have a greater risk of suffering through birth defects, development of later health problems, behavioral issues due to improper breeding, behavioral issues due to animals being taken from their parents and siblings before they have an opportunity to learn how to properly socialize so you can make lots of fast cash (because you arent a bank to quote your website), animal abuse, abandonment, higher numbers in kill shelters leading to euthanization, higher numbers of animals in non-kill shelters, rising costs in pet insurance, rising costs of buying purebred animals due to unethical breeders in competition to make a buck for designer pets, heartbreak for families who have to put their pet to sleep due to health problems, etc., etc., etc. All because of UNETHICAL BREEDING. You should let your buyers know the truth about health issues that are associated with trendy colors...not just breed specific health issues such as hip dysplasia and breathing difficulties because of their poor smashed in unnatural faces due to decades of worldwide unethical breeding causing brachycephaly. They should be told that French bulldogs grunting isnt really cute, but an actual sign of breathing difficulties akin to wheezing in an asthmatic person. Asthma isnt cute, so the sound of a brachycephalic dog shouldnt be either.Pain and/or discomfort should never be imposed on any animal because a breeder wants to make money on a “rare (designer) color” or look. By the same token, animals shouldnt suffer because a person wants an unusual-looking pup. A good breeder will never risk a dog’s health. It also shouldnt matter what color a dog or his/her eyes are when adopting or buying in the cases with your dogs. A healthy dog with a good personality should be what matters most.What happens when puppies bred for the wrong reasons arent born with the desired characteristics and can not be sold? What happens when they are born with a chronic health condition? What happens when the cute designer puppies adopted grow up to develop health issues? What happens when puppies are born of parents chosen for designer looks, but not behaviors or when puppies are born solely for looks wind up with behavioral problems? How many of these dogs wind up abandoned, abused, euthanized, or in the shelters? What about the poor mother dogs who have to repeatedly give birth and have their puppies taken. And thats not even counting the ones who need an undisclosed cesarean, which is common in french bulldogs.You also contradict yourself on hip dysplasia on your website. You first state it hasnt happened to you specifically. In the next paragraph, you state that by taking certain measures, you have seen significant improvement in your dogs afflicted with hip dysplasia. Care to clarify that?When you charge upwards of $6,000 for a designer color puppy, you arent doing it because you love animals - ethics get lost in the zeros for every litter produced. The well-being of the dogs, in turn, is decimated.Shame on you.Please rethink what you are doing and find another way to earn money. Its just plain wrong. If you truly love dogs, you must examine your conscience. Nearly 400,000 dogs were put to death in shelters in 2022. Even if every purebred French Bulldog on earth was born healthy, you and other designer dog breeders are only adding to an exploding dog population. Too many never know love.

We met with Ethical Frenchie in June of 2019. We got our puppy Ursula at 10 weeks. She was a gem. My wife and I immediately fell in love. The entire process beginning to end was seamless. Our puppy came from a loving breeder to a loving home. All shots and paperwork were in order. We would do business again with them. Totally recommend if youre in the market for a frenchie.

When the time came for my partner and I to grow our family we decided on a French bulldog and did a Google search. Ethical Frenchie came up so we did some research to find how reliable they are and the quality of their dogs.Needless to say on Christmas Eve of 2019 we met with James who d has two puppies left that needed a home. We met at his designated location, walked in and there she came running and landed in my partners lap. There were no second guessing or debating. We wrapped her up in my jacket and proceeded to the store to go crazy on puppy toys, treats and essentials.Well now her name is Esmé and is an amazing addition to the family as she has her first birthday on the 19th of October. When it’s time to consider purchasing a second pup, we know where to turn. Ethical Frenchie has a great breed of healthy and strong dogs. Look no other place for your first or next French bulldog. They will be there every step of the way!

We came across Ethical Frenchie after searching for best frenchie breeders in NYC and werent disappointed. They were quick to respond to any question we had and helped us find truly our dream puppy. Dealing with Ethical Frenchie was smooth from beginning-to-end. Aside from the initial buying process, they have been very supportive after-the-fact. Any questions or concerns are answered quickly and they go above-and-beyond their scope of support.After searching for a reputable French Bulldog breeder for months, my wife came across Ethical Frenchie by way of a referral; a friend of a friend.We spoke with them, asked a bunch of questions, they sent over some pictures of puppies, and the rest is history.They dont just sell dogs here. They know about French Bulldogs specifically and one of the girls there is a nutritionist, which is great. If you know anything about French Bulldogs, they have very sensitive stomachs, dont do well with kibble, so having a nutritionist on your side is extremely helpful.In our case, the vet pushed Royal Canin on us from day one. Against the advice of Ethical Frenchie, we went with it. Hanks stool became very loose, we didnt think much of it, we just figured he was a growing puppy, and it was normal. I was embarrassed to contact Ethical Frenchie about it as they warned us to avoid most, if not all kibble. Suddenly Hanks stool was this mucus-like substance, sometimes bloody, other times yellow. Constant diarrhea. We mentioned it to the vet and they told us they would need a stool sample and put on a special diet right away. With that, I emailed pictures of Hanks stool to Ethical Frenchie, she told me to get him off Royal Canin right away, and either make fresh food, or buy it, i.e., Fresh Pet from the local stores, fresh from Ollie or The Farmers Dog.With all of that, I purchased fresh food from Ollie. The first week was great, second week not so much. His stool was terrible. It looked like he was pooping out his intestines. Back to the vet, they wanted to run more tests, and the list goes on. We contacted Ethical Frenchie right away, they asked a few questions, and it turns out Hank was allergic to poultry. It makes sense because the first week on Ollie was beef, week two was chicken.All of this and more was explained to the vet, yet they could not figure anything out. Ethical Frenchie sorted it with a few emails.They sent me a quick homemade recipe to whip up and that very same night, Hanks stool was normal. Its now been four weeks on homemade food, hes gone solid since that very day, no more gas, no more issues at all.I mention all of this because of the importance in knowing and understanding the breed youre dealing with. Thats why I say that Ethical Frenchie doesnt just sell dogs, they know the breed, they just know the ins-and-outs.Just look at Hank, look how perfect he is. Look at the stance on him! He looks like a CHAMPION!Seriously though, he is the sweetest dog Ive ever had. He craves attention, loves to cuddle, and is very loyal. He is fantastic with our kids, people in general, and hes great with other dogs.Were going to be adding another French Bulldog to our household soon and theres no question as to where wed go for one.THANK YOU!

We just got our new addition a couple days ago abs you can tell how well they took care of her before handing her over to us, She is such a little love very cuddly and we are coming to realize she is already mostly pee pad trained! It was a relief to find this group of people! They are dog lovers who sell to dog lovers. They are real, fair, and attentive. I felt that they respected the fact that I was making a 12 to 15 year decision of bringing a family member into my life!! I went through 4 other establishments over the last 2 weeks and it took one phone call with David to sense this was a different group of people! Thank you to the whole team and a shout out to Renee who even made a short video with my daughter’s name so that I could feel at ease about the accuracy of the photos. (Another group tried to get me with a bait and switch) because of Ethical Frenchie my daughter had the most magical Christmas yet!!Thank you guys and I will recommend you to anyone who ask have a great new year!!

From the very beginning the ethical frenchie team was amazing! They guided us through the process From meeting our pup, to answering questions we had, even months after having our little guy we were provided support on potty training, nutrition and much more! I highly recommend the ethical frenchie team with helping you find the next member of your family!

Im so glad I chose to go with Ethical Frenchie to get my fur baby. Everyone has been awesome and made (and still make) sure that my baby is doing well, they are always available for tips and help in case it is needed. I can only recommend if you are interested in getting a frenchie!

The unethical frenchie breeder.I bought a puppy from these people who was sick after spending 3.000.00 discovering she had a hiadel hernia . In my contract it said that they would cover up to what I paid for her in medical bills. Renee Harrison actually reminded me of that. She smturned over the issue to her husband James Harrison who reluctantly agreed to pay us. He has disappeared and has been ghosting us and has never paid us …… I have pleaded for him to pay what he owes us but he still has not responded .

I too am in the same boat as the previous reviewer, Justin. I have been waiting for almost a month for James to respond and send the antibiotics for the puppy we purchased back in May. Was told the worms would go away, and if more meds were needed, he would over night. His rep, Eli, seems to be covering his mishaps because I then had to contact Eli after waiting so long for a response from James. I do not know what is going on with this business but like the other person said, there is nothing ethical about them from the way they are treating us.EDIT with update : In response to what James said below, I have taken the puppy to the vet for the past 2 months and most recently today since the purchase. Yes you did offer to send the medication, but you did not send anything after saying you would, even after I gave you my address to send it too. She has been on Albon (from the vet) and now another medication. If you think I am letting the puppy suffer, you are severely wrong as I have the paper work and bills to prove it otherwise. And if that is not enough, I still have our conversation via text where you promised to overnight the medications.

Horrible experience...If you want to know the truth about this business, search “ethical kennel” reviews (their previous name). We were sold a puppy with a severe upper respiratory infection on the verge of pneumonia. The puppy also had Giardia, even though we were told he just tested negative for this. The owners denied the dog coming with either of these however the vet (20+ years experience) said neither of these develop over one day. Although the owners (renee and James) denied both of these, they promised to cover the vet bills. After weeks of trying to reach James, he finally responded after we suggested we would get the Better Business bureau involved. James had a sudden interest in the situation, promised to send the money, and still hasn’t. Their business name is “ethical frenchies” however, these people are all about the money. They are not about being ethical and I would definitely not describe them as being breeders. If I could put 0 stars I would.EDIT: in response to what James said belowWe brought the dog to the vet a day after we received him due to his condition and had to bring him in ever single day for nebulizers and antibiotics. However, we did deny James’s offering for medicine because they wanted to treat a cold when the dog has pneumonia (clearly no medical background lol).Till this day (4 weeks later) the dog still is being treated for pneumonia and James has still not reached out to ask about the dog’s condition.

Love my Pup! David was so helpful throughout the whole process of finding me the perfect puppy. He was very responsive and helped me with any questions I had. Couldn’t be happier with the entire process. I will be recommending them to anyone who is looking for a frenchie. Thanks again for making the experience perfect.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a breeder. Ely was super hands on and informative. He gave us all the information we wanted plus more. He remains accesible and available to this day. We regularly send updates and are so grateful to have the extra input in raising our puppy. We will be using this breeder again in the future to get our second frenchie. And I would recommend them 100xs over!!!

I don’t even know where to begin with my support for these wonderful humans. They are responsive, legitimate, compassionate, they raise wonderful puppies with full health charts and recommendations just a text away. They answer every question i pose and are incredibly dedicated breeders with loads of knowledge. HIGHLY recommend you join this wonderful frenchie community.

We love the dog we got from Ethical Frenchie…he’s healthy and has all the characteristics that you would look for in a bred like this. Does not mean he’s perfect, no new dog is. He chewed a part of our kitchen table—no biggie😀. No, truly, there’s nothing I love more than waking up in the morning and coming down to my kitchen to see my little guy and have a cup of coffee with him. He’s the best.

I don’t usually write reviews (and this one is way overdue), but as we are contemplating getting our second Frenchie w/ TEF, I was reminded how important it is to let people know how amazing they are. Our 2 yr old pup Frida is pretty much as perfect as can be. She is calm, polite, playful, and loving, not to mention absolutely adorable! Everyone who meets her loves her and we often get stopped by people wanting to pet, compliment, and even take pictures of her. I recommend TEF to anyone thinking about getting a Frenchie (which, btw, I also highly recommend!) It’s clear that they take great care in breeding and preparing these pups to be the best, most loving friends you could ever want :)

This review is long overdue. Renee is absolutely amazing!! Her practice is as ethical and amazing as its billed to be. Shes the honest, caring, small family operation breeder youve been scouring the internet to find. We made the decision to adopt one of her amazing puppies last April, and our sweet baby Gus just turned 1 year old last month. Hes perfectly healthy and happy and we are so grateful to Renee.I feel the need to provide our in depth experience here for any others like us in the future who are embarking on the daunting task of trying to find an honest/ethical French Bulldog breeder. My wife and I had made the mistake in the past of going through a more affordable French Bulldog breeder option we found through Instagram back in 2018. We unfortunately were sold a terminally ill puppy with an inoperable hereditary heart condition he inherited through poor breeding. We gave him the best life we could for as long as we could but unfortunately suffered through the heartbreak of his passing around his 1 year birthday. We were obviously scarred from this experience and vowed that if we ever decided to get another Frenchie we would never make the mistake of choosing the wrong breeder again.Fast forward to early 2022, we began the daunting search youre likely on now, armed with a ton of knowledge about what scams to avoid and what questions to ask to properly vet our potential breeders. We started our search with Ethical Frenchies through a referral of someone we met walking a beautiful, happy Frenchie puppy in the city. This owner raved about her experience with Ethical Frenchies. We called Renee, told her about our prior experience, and then proceeded to ask her a laundry list of questions about her process. She was ready for all of them and answered them so genuinely. Not only was she not running a puppy-mill, she was just as concerned on doing her due diligence on us as owners to ensure the future welfare of any puppy she sold. We absolutely loved this!We told her we were pretty certain we wanted a male and werent too picky on color but had a preference for blues if we had the option. We also mentioned we preferred the thicker body type (she called it a chunker). We expected to be put on a waitlist with all the post-COVID puppy demand, but, as fate would have it, she said that she actually had a litter with a chunker blue male that would be ready for pickup in only 4 weeks!Still scarred from our prior experience, we werent done vetting yet. We proceeded to read everyone of these Google reviews and reach out to about a dozen of her recent clients via IG. Nearly every single one of them responded immediately with the highest praise for Renee. One of them had actually gone back and bought a second puppy from her! This was the final confirmation we needed. We paid our deposit and were thrilled by the very detailed contract complete with conditional vet signoff from our own vet. Renee provided us all the information on the parents of this puppy with pictures and health records.In walked our Augustus (Gus) on 4/6/2022. We immediately took him to two different vets that not only gave him a clean bill of health, but both told us he was one of the healthiest French Bulldog puppies they had seen with several noticeable traits of great breeding (wide nostrils, normal pallet, non-inverted tail, etc.).True to the other reviews, Renee has stayed in constant communication with us ever since dropping him off. It started with her amazing welcome PDF of all the essential supplies wed need and links of where to buy them off Amazon. She answered all of our random questions throughout the early months. She even connected us to another young couple that bought Guss sister and also lives in the city. Weve met up regularly and are going to do a joint 1 year birthday celebration for them next week (I know, were those millennials).Gus is as happy and healthy as ever. Hes a hilarious little drama king. He is so sweet and good with other people & other dogs. He is our world. Thank you, Renee!

Ethical Frenchie offers an amazing service and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a little Frenchie puppy. I adopted a blue Frenchie 4 months ago and the owners still check in with me and are always willing to answer any questions I have. They are incredibly knowledgeable and their frenchies are just the cutest. I’m so happy with using them and really appreciate them giving me an amazing healthy blue Frenchie that has such a wonderful personality! You can’t go wrong using them.

We got our 8 week old blue frenchie, Fiona, from Ethical Frenchie a few months ago and couldn’t be happier. Renee was great! Highly recommend! Fiona is the sweetest little pup and gets along great with our other frenchie and toy poodle.

Ethical Frenchie drove 3 1/2 hours to deliver us a beautiful, healthy and loving blue female frenchie. They were extremely responsive and prepared us well before we recieved our puppy. They followed up for a few weeks afterward to make sure everything was going smoothly, proving that they really care about the dogs and their customers. This is the best private business I have ever dealt with. HIGHLY reccomended.

I worked with Ethical Frenchie for nearly a year until the timing was absolutely right to welcome our new fur baby. They were incredibly patient and professional throughout the entire process. Pleased to report some three months later our pup is healthy and thriving.
