An excellent place to take your pup anytime of year! Great community of uptown dog owners. There is no water source in the park so youll have to hike it up with you, or run over to the New Leaf restaurant to refill the bowls.

Well maintained dog run in the beautiful Fort Tryon park. There are two separate areas, one for dogs under 25lbs and one for larger dogs. No water fountains/pumps so bring your own. Picnic tables in each area for the humans! Dirt/woodchips so expect your pup to get muddy feet!

Its great to see the dogs run and play. I feel that there should be some dog tunnels for the dogs. But a great place

Dog park next to a stone gazebo. Often watch the dogs run around while I play Pokemon Go inside the gazebo. Its so peaceful there when it rains.

Reminded me of the dog park in union square, it is so lively and full of doggies. Encountered about ten different dogs in a span of an hour. Absolutely love this location. Not to mention it is large.

This doggie run is the BEST in Manhattan, I love it. It’s great both for puppies and people, I met so many amazing humans there, artists, dreamers, is what I miss the most of moving out that area.Bring your own water for the doggo. They are wild berries that you can eat outside the run. It’s divided for little pups and big pups. It’s great all year I particularly love it in spring for the green grass and the flowers.

Our pup loves this spot. Very large space for running. People tend to keep it clean and friendly. Can get muddy on rainy days and dusty on dry summer days but otherwise it’s a treat.

This was my go-to for years. Loved the park. They recently re-did the park with huge wood chips (like playground wood chips for people). Theyre not dog friendly, a blockage hazard, will mold with the weather, and its just baffling that this was what was put down. I imagine prevention of erosion was the number one motivation, but its dangerous for dogs... and that defeats the purpose in a dog run.Unfortunately my dog puts everything in his mouth so we cannot come here anymore. Seems like the dogs were thought of very little when the renovation of the dog run was planned.

Update: Bark Damaging to Small Dog Paws. The recently added bark is harsh and abrasive. I do not believe it is a pet friendly mix at least for small dogs. I took my Frenchie up here for only the second time to run and play. We were here for less than 15 minutes when I noticed blood on her paws.I quickly picked her up to check her paws and found that the padding and webbing of her feet had been cut and rubbed raw from the sharp wood chunks. The bark needs to be a smaller and softer blend. It is a hazard for small dogs that are running and playing in the area. As I carried my dog out , other owners commented that their dogs had been hurt by the bark as well.

Great dog run. Its huge and my girl loved running all over it. Theres trees for shade and plenty of picnic tables to sit. I didnt see a water fountain though. I always carry a water bottle for my dog so that wasnt an issue.

Very large. People are friendly. This is a split zone for small and larger dogs. A bit difficult to get to with stairs, inclines and distance, but well worth the work if your dog needs some friends (and maybe you too!)

Large space for both small (25 lbs -) and large (25 lbs +) dogs. They each have their own section to run around. Extremely friendly PawParents. Its been my experience for the past year, that most if not all dogs are well trained and behalf. Pawparents are very responsible and attentive to their 4 legged children.

An awesome and large dog run. There are two runs. One for smaller dogs and one for large. In a beautiful setting too. Would be even better if there was a water fountain near by. A great experience!

I absolutely love this park, the scenery is breathtaking. I walk my yorkie there each time the weather permits, and he loves it there, and the cloisters museum is even inside the park which makes you feel as though youve gone back in time because the museum is basically a castle in the mountains.... how cool is that😉
