I have been working with Angela for over a month now and I am extremely happy with the results. My 4 month old puppy Archie absolutely adores Angela. She provides endless practical tips that worked extremely well. She helped with sit/down/touch/ paw commands, walking with good manners, and crate training. She is very realistic with goals and has a positive approach to training. I am thrilled to have been partnered with her and excited for continuing the sessions to see Archie grow and learn more!

Angela is the best! Our puppy Cleo has learned so much so fast, and she’s had fun doing it. She loves Angela, and so do we! She is so gentle and approachable both for pets and pet parents. Her deep understanding of dog behavior is invaluable when it comes to training but also everyday behavioral things like food and nutrition as well. Her thoughtful approach has been invaluable in training not just our puppy but us too.

We recently booked a package of 1:1 trainings with Yuruani Olguin dog training, and we couldnt be happier with our experience! We started training with Angela while our puppy was 8 weeks old, and scheduled six one-hour weekly sessions with her on Sundays. Each session was incredibly productive, with our puppy learning one or more tricks within minutes with Angelas expert training! Angela would usually start by demonstrating the trick and explaining all the mechanics, and then would guide both my husband and I to try ourselves and refine our technique. (So much of training puppies is also training the owners!) She also took time to answers all our questions on a range of different topics beyond dog training, including nutrition, crate training and sleep, and potty training. After the session, she would send us important notes and resources from each session. We left every session feeling confident knowing what to practice with our puppy for the week ahead and that we were taking all the right steps as first-time puppy parents. Overall, I cannot recommend Angela and Yuruani Olguin Dog Training programs enough, especially for new/first-time puppy parents! It has definitely played a crucial role in demystifying the puppy raising process and ensuring we develop a strong foundation in our puppys earliest and most critical developmental age. Ive had a great experience with Angela. She has been a great trainer for Luca. Her detailed and thoughtful approach have been instrumental in getting Luca adjusted to the city and have helped build a foundation of routine and discipline within the apartment. We did a private training package and worked with Helen to train our puppy. I can not say enough good things about Helen, she came to each session prepared and tailored each session based on our needs and key training priorties. My partner and I have been working with Angela for about a month and her deep and varied expertise along with her patience and kindness have been invaluable to us. The knowledge and tools we’ve gained from our sessions have made a huge difference in the relationship we have with our dog Basil. After 3 years with her, we were still struggling with anxiety and resource guarding that could sometimes lead to aggression towards us or other dogs. We now have a much better understanding of how to manage her anxiety in different contexts and how to improve it long-term. After only a few sessions, Basil was focused on us during walks even through stressors, leaving food on the ground with ease, and learning how and when to settle down. We can now communicate more clearly with her and understand her better when she is communicating with us. Basil gets so excited to do training now, and is always thrilled when Angela arrives for a session!

I’ve been working with Angela Meglio through Yuruani Olguin Dog Training Inc for almost a month now, and I cannot thank them enough for all the help they’ve given me and my puppy. Yuruani always gets back to me quickly over email when it comes to questions and setting up sessions. And working with Angela has been amazing.Angela is patient, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She’s always gotten back to me promptly if I have questions, and she’s super patient with my dog on days he’s a bit more challenging. And she’s been just as patient and helpful with me in making sure that I’m teaching my dog cues or behaviors in a way that’s most helpful for him.I’ve worked with other dog trainers but this has by far been the best experience both me and my dog have had doing so. As a first time dog owner, it’s really comforting I have a really wonderful support system of experts who are just as invested in helping me set up my dog for success and good habits for life.

Yuruani Olguin Dog Training is phenomenal! I have been working with Angela for the past 6 weeks or more and my puppy not only loves her but has learned so much from training with her (as have I)! She is not only a great trainer, she is a friend! She is also so knowledgeable with respect to medical issues that arise that can impact the dog’s attention and training. Angela recommended I bring my puppy to the Vet due to an issue that arose with removing her harness and thought it could be ear related. She was exactly right as the puppy had a bad ear infection. Angela has been working with my puppy Reese since he was 8 weeks ago and we are so grateful. At his age (5 months), he is already so well trained and her efficient training tactics has made raising him from a young puppy so much more enjoyable. Yuruani first spent time on the phone with us, assessing our needs and answering all our many questions. Then we opted to work with Angela on her team, as that was best for our schedule. We highly recommend Angela. She’s knowledgeable and an excellent and clear teacher. We need as much training as Doug, our 7-month old mixed breed rescue! In just 3 lessons thus far, Doug has learned so much, and Angela has guided us regarding not only training, but behavior, dog psychology, dog food and treats, and more. Angela has gone above and beyond by answering our questions by phone, text and email. We’re very grateful we found her! Oh - and Doug adores her!

We worked with Helen over the course of a few months after immediately bringing home a 3-month-old. She was patient with us, but most importantly, tremendous with our little girl as she taught her the basics as well as some fun party tricks. Would highly recommend.

We hired Stephanie for several in-home training sessions for our corgi puppy when we were feeling overwhelmed. From our first session, we could see that she was extremely good with our dog and could provide us with tools for a well-trained pet. After weekly sessions for about a month, we feel much more confident in our abilities training our puppy, and we have already seen so much progress. We could not recommend Stephanie more highly.

My wife and I adopted a 3-month old puppy in May named Clyde. We were both new dog parents and quickly realized we needed a lot of help to make sure Clyde was happy and well-trained. Clyde was a slightly rambunctious puppy who loved to chew on everything and tried to put anything possible in his mouth outside. He also is a very friendly dog, and he thinks every person and dog outside is his new best friend. We worked with Stephanie for Clyde’s training through the premier program and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We were growing pretty weary before Stephanie came to our apartment for his first session and in the first 15 minutes we learned more practical tips and tricks than wed found through hours of Googling. Stephanie helped us to see that Clydes behavior was typical puppy stuff and he just needed some more formal training and structure. Throughout the program, Stephanie not only had an amazing bond with Clyde, but she also bonded with us and taught us a lot about caring for a dog. She was always responsive over email or text for any questions and made all three of us feel like we were in good hands. We were so impressed with the breadth and depth of Stephanies knowledge and expertise, and her poise in dealing with our pup even on his wildest days. We completed the program a couple of months ago and any time we get stuck working on a new command or behavioral challenge, we can easily think back to everything Stephanie taught us and apply it to whatever situation we are in. Highly, highly recommend for any new puppy owners!

We are so grateful to Yuruani! Definitely enrolling in her dog training classes were the best thing we could have done after the arrival of our new puppy! We spent months struggling through online videos, blogs, books, and advice from friends/fellow dog owners. We were desperate and I was beginning to think nothing would work until we met Yuruani. She was terrific to work with and we could start to see a difference just after the first class. She is professional and knowledgeable about the science behind animal training. She is reliable and very easy to get in touch with. After each class, we receive a lesson plan of the exercises we covered and if we have any questions or recommendations she is quick to respond. Most importantly of all, our dog loves her! I was impressed by quickly he bonded with her and would follow her guidance through every session. I highly recommend Yuruanis classes to anyone thinking about looking for a trainer for their pup!

My partner and I became first time puppy parents in October. We worked with Stephanie for Franklins 1:1 training through their premier program and could not recommend them more highly. Franklin was 12 weeks old when we brought him home and while he is sweet-natured and eager to please, he was an anxious, chew-happy puppy who did not seem to be motivated by treats at all. Stephanie helped us find *magic* treats and methods that had Franklin enthusiastic about any and all tricks Stephanie taught him in each session. She was responsive over text as questions came up and truly made us feel so confident in the process.

My 7 month puppy loves her trainer Angela, she has made lots of progress with Angela’s personalized lessons. I also appreciate the detailed instructions after each in home visit. Definitely worth the money

As first time puppy owners, we wanted to make sure that we did everything we could to ensure that our new Shiba Inu would be a well trained and well adjusted dog. We found Yuruani Olguin Dog training on Google and took a chance. We signed up for their puppy class and their private trainings. We worked with trainer Stephanie Ip and she was absolutely AMAZING! She immediately eased our nerves on the first class when we saw how quickly she taught our puppy to touch. It was obvious how much she cared about what she does and the dogs she trains. And our puppy loved her as well and would get super excited whenever it was time for a lesson. She patiently answered all of our many questions and followed up every class with a lesson plan as well as links to products she recommends and sites that we might find informative. At the end of the training our puppy knew all of his basic commands and was well socialized with other dogs. I would highly recommend this training school and if you can get Stephanie as your dogs trainer than you can be sure you are in good hands!

I did the premier program for my 8 week old golden retriever puppy, Summer, with Stephanie as the trainer and I was overjoyed with the progress we made. Stephanie was loving, energetic and so knowledgeable and Summer responded to her immediately. They developed quite a bond as Summer grew older and after the program she is such a joy to walk and spend time with. I recommend Stephanie as strongly as I possibly can.

My husband and I would give 10 stars if we could. The level of professionalism and compassion is unmatched with Yuruani Oliguin Dog training. Our large lab had trouble walking in the busy NYC streets, but with Yuruani’s help, we now have the tools to control his excitement outdoors. We could not be happier with our experience and therefore not hesitate to refer to friends.

Stephanie was so great. She quickly assessed my pups behaviors and needs, and gave me immediately applicable tools to make his transition into our family a joy. She laid the foundation by first teaching him commands, and then looped my whole family in on how to reinforce and maintain the behaviors. Thanks Stephanie!

Angela is a wonderful trainer. Our aim was to have our newly adopted rescue doodles be safe, attentive, and comfortable in both city and country environments as we spend time in both places. She has masterfully and compassionately handled our dogs, alternating between city and rural situations with ease. She guided us through the basics, building layers of training, so that it feels (ultimately) simple to manage the dogs in the city (with leash anxiety/overstimulation, etc.). Our training course is only halfway through but we are well on our way to achieving our goal. Their comfort is our comfort--we are extremely satisfied and grateful!

Angela Meglio was nothing short of outstanding in training not only our headstrong Frankie, but the two of us as well. She is patient and kind. Her knowledge base and skill set are quite impressive. Without fail, when we asked her for advice, she was able to provide numerous solutions for us to try (e.g. a behavior or a harness suggestion). Additionally, she was able to guide us through some food intolerance issues with significant results. Her love of dogs is evident and I would wholeheartedly recommend her without reservation.
