In all kinds of weather this park is the best. Whether you run, play sports, do body weight workouts, like fishing, have dogs, or just want to go for a walk or a picnic, this is the place to go on the Lower East Side. It will be even better when the track is finished in (hopefully) Fall 2018. I hope to see you out there having a blast!
I was born and raised around this area of Williamsburg and I am so happy and proud of the way this area has flourished... This is a beautiful place to spend time with a your better half, family and friends. Very highly recommended.
Gorgeous park with magnificent views. Theres a park w a playground for kids...I see families having a bbq cookout... people walking, jogging, strollers, dogs, sunbathing, working out, ... you see it all!
Wonderful views with bearing perspective around every corner. little desk lit being next to the highway but still looking across the water you can see the current and tides ebb and flow surprisingly rapidly. Good place to go for a run or have a ride free from the traffic
It’s really hard to enjoy this place right now. Construction takes over the majority of the park, leaving very limited areas to hang out and sit. It’s noisy next to the highway. I was hoping for a peaceful park near the water but didn’t find what I was looking for.
We took the east river boardwalk from pier 17 to Houston street, most of the way was beautiful, including playgrounds, amazing views and many many benches to enjoy the atmosphere and view, you even have 3 amazing huge swings for adults and kids to enjoy, we had a blast at every step we took and stop we made, 10 minutes walk from there was the subway back to the hotel
Lovely spot to get up early and catch a NYC sunrise — time it right and you’ll get a great view of the sun just beginning to peek out over Brooklyn across the East river. Some stunning views of the Williamsburg bridge, as well.
Beautiful views for a pleasant walk, run or simply to sit and relax by the Hudson River. Enjoy a book, listen to music or meet with family and friends for some fresh air.Mask are worn and a safe distance is respectfully kept by others outside your party.
Wonderful setting for sunny days with family and friends. Excellent little picnic areas for BBQ or birthday parties. The scenery is soothing with a spark of delight and pleasure. Sharing a day in the sun.
Beautiful spacious park to come for a picnic, play games, bike ride or just sit back and enjoy the river view. Slowly this park is being improved, but its not as pretty as the west side battery park.
Absurd amount of what I believe was construction blockages. I’ve been running along the west side high/riverside drive for over 7 years- from battery park up to the George Washington bridge. Long story short, I had high hopes for the east river running and biking route but it was a complete let down. Will try again in 12 months
It has a great view of the East River and Brooklyn. The view of the Williamsburg bridge is great too. A great place to run/walk or walk your dog. It’s also very windy here too. Hope this helps!
I really had a nice time with my friends. We had a dinner that we brought with us and just had a great time. The view is amazing at night great for pictures. The walk from the train is pretty far.
Whether youre going for a walk, jog, bike ride or sports, this park will accommodate your needs. The Parks Department rehabilitated the tennis courts and other areas. They even have a section to workout with your own weight area. Come watch the few baseball, soccer games or enjoy a barbecue. The East River Park is enjoyable during the spring and summer season.
Nice scenery, very beautiful view by the water, boats passing, air planes landing on the water and transit boats. Must pay boat location with Cash/ Debit or Bank Card
Construction still going on years later with no improvement of any kind, construction team also ignored ordinance laws and begins majing extremely loud noise at 6 AM DAILY, even though theyve been reported numerous times and had the police called on them and a few being arrested. Idiotic ya got no respect for peoples lives.
How to Blossom the Lower East Side by East River Park FDR Drive by the water on the 4th of July great times with family and my daughter she loves it being in my own neighborhood and showing her how we used to spend 4th of July when Daddy was a kid
Great place for walking, running, bike rides, grilling and childs. Lovely scenery and Skyline.
One of the most relaxing spots in the city! great for recreational activities or sunny day walks.
Loved the track. So smooth and big. We do our track workout there everyweek. And it has mist too which really helps after your workout to cool down during summer. Wish there was lamp posts so we could train late during winter too.
Great park for running with rewarding views from the waterfront including the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge. Equally good for biking and leisurely evening strolls. It has playgrounds and exercise areas too.
It has a beautiful view full of athletic joggers, but you need to be careful when you go back home.
Beautiful park along the east river. Plenty of parks and outdoor spaces to enjoy.
Quiet and tucked away between fdr drive and river. Great to bike, jog, tennis, soccer and views of the river and bridges
A great track and facility in Manhattan with an amazing view of the river and Brooklyn. Hoping the track remains a part of the renovation…
Well-maintained park with standard park amenities. A great place to enjoy scenic views of the modest Brooklyn skyline and the East River.
One of the most beautiful parks in New York to experience multiple prime bridges of NYC
Really nice views .. serene and calming. On a beautiful day you cant beat it with a baseball bat.
Great relax spot just to chill except for on the weekends. If your coming here on the weekends come early especially on Saturdays when the Smorgasburg is here.
Lots of good fields here turf and grass alike. We play quidditch here every saturday and almost always have field space. Public bathrooms are nearby but its advised to bring your own toiletries. Water fountains arr currently turned off in the winter but are open in warmer months
Used to be perfect for running with access to the river walk all the way around the island. Now blocked due to construction of flood protections. Still nice track and about 1 mile of promenade along the river though.
Best 15 minute getaway to just forget stress and just take a breath of air and smile. I bet the dog will love the walk as well. LOWER EAST SIDE✊☝️
A great park by the river. Has a lengthy walk by the river, soccer fields, basketball courts, a track, and spots that are perfect for grilling.
Perfect setting to watch the sunset and take in the NYC views. Lots of things to do in the area.
I grew up here. And its more lovely than ever now. Walk bike skate, its all great
Beautiful park with many facilities. The river is always a sight.
East River Park, so beautiful, sadly, theres plans to destroy it to build a flood wall, there was an original wall plan without demolishin the Park, this will b very sad 💔 for the community 💔
Beautiful park with water and bridge views for a jog and run
Great walk way along the river
East side city park with all amenities along the east river and next o the DR, crosswalk at 10th street but the web park admin s more than 20 blocks long. Picnic tables, fountains, walking and bike path, badminton and volleyball lawns, bathrooms and a constant breeze makes it a terrific place to grab and afternoon of R & R or just hang out with family and friends.
Beautiful park with views of Williamsburg; has Tennis Courts that remain open through the year. Connected all the way up to E 34th St. and accessible by an over head bridge (over FDR).
An outside Track that is almost never busy. Until google reviews. :) Check it out, open all year round. Astroturf field for soccer and American football on the inside of the track.
Its a park. On the river. Its peaceful and lovely.
Amazing place to see the sunrise and go for a run
Great park! Lots of grassy spots to plop down and relax.
Beautiful park with gorgeous views to jog along
This place is perfect to walk and relax and enjoy the River !!!!
Its a beautiful shoreline walk BUT so much construction and activities and people partying and smoking all over doesnt allow for much of a fun, friendly, family like atmosphere . There needs to be signs designating areas for all and some rules please. There should be a tackle football field, a rugby field too!! There should be more restrooms!!
Construction really puts a damper on this park. Hopefully it’ll be awesome once the flood protection is complete and it’s renovated but in the mean time access is severely limited. It is tough to compare to the luxurious amenities of the West Side Highway. Also tough to see a large amount of green space taken away from the east side during the construction. I understand the City’s flood protection plan is very important to ensure the safety of lower Manhattan but it seems there could have been a better achievable middle ground rather than tearing up the majority of a park many hold close as an east access point for outdoor recreation and community connections.
Less crowded, peaceful vibe and nice view of east river along with Gantry park and Willamburg park . Best place to walking and jogging in a city . Some parts are still under construction but most of it are functional and it has perfect view queens , brooklyn and manhattan skyline of New York city
Great walkway finally trying to catch up to the west side
Very peaceful. Great view.
Lots of people all the time but nice place to take the family. Our little one loves watching the boats go by.
Good times from the weekend. Salsa and house music. Beautiful views.
People riding bikes are annoying to everyone else’s walking or running.....some pedestrian is gonna really get hurt if the city doesn’t regulates the bikes here
I love this park, beautiful views up and down the river.
Been coming to this park since the 60s, first as a 6 year old and now as a 60s+ adult. Seen all the changes that the park has gone through and now it gets really crowded on hot weekends. Use to be more peaceful back in the day but weekdays are like it use to be. Still enjoy relaxing there. Update, with all the construction going on again its really bad. You are very limited to the many areas you can hangout at. Miss my oasis.
Always relaxing - get on a Citibike and roll in over the Cherry street bridge
Nice ample running space, bathrooms are not great but there are bathrooms when needed between ball parks, kids play ground have not changed in decades but theres a sprinkler near 10 St by the play ground and a few stationary BBQ grills complements from NYC Parks Dept. Overall a quiet place if you want to just relax read a book or enjoy the Sun, otherwise not bad, I been enjoying running from 23rd to the Williamsburg Bridge for decades.Found a rusty SemiAutomatic Glock about 2 weeks ago buried in mud probably for years in the East River Park ,Called 9th Precinct NYPD after 2 hours of wasted time ,no mention of reward money for turning in a gun. I will definitely NOT recommend calling your local authorities to turn in a hand pistol of any kind, Forget About it!
NYC has other plans for this beautiful park unfortunately. Theyve cut down most of the almost 1000 trees, theyll load it up with 30 inches of topsoil... they call it flood control.. NO WAY! And theres supposed to be some sort of (luxury?) housing project.Damn them...
Well, you can see in the terrible condition the tennis courts are!
Great park to watch sunset. I saw a dance performance as well, the view was a great backdrop. I like it because its not overcrowded, but its a bit of a walk from the trains. Great spot to go to near the lower east side or after walking the Williamsburg bridge.
Its a great place. The reason Im giving it 1 star is all the construction 🚧 going on. Also there is some much talks in that air of the future of the FDR Drive. From the parks closing to new developments of building so going up. But one thing I do know. Enjoy it now before its all gone.
We had a great time .. summer stage 2017
The park is under construction. The football field is horrible. Be prepared to navigate fencing and blocked off areas. Hopefully, it will look great when theyre finished.
Watched the beauty sunrise from this quiet park. A little tucked away from the LES. Needs a little TLC.
Docking spot for dinner cruise was clean, but dark at night. The area near street was rough and full of deep, muddy puddles with the rain.
Just a nice place to come sit and see the water and enjoy all of the activities such as helicopters boats planes sea planes spectacular view of the Bridge ( Williamsburg)
A lovely place for a morning walk or run .
The view is picturistic and the Event always welcoming.
Great park, especially since the city isnt going to fully close it now.
Its kinda awkward to get to but its a serene slice of nature
I love walking by the water to relax. It is sad to see the homeless. There needs to be a speed limit for bikes because I have almost been hit a few times and I am just walking. It is not a huge space under the FDR so theres no need for bicyclists to speed as if they are the only ones using South St under the FDR. Otherwise, it is nice to see the greenery in NYC.
Its a nice place to relax and enjoy the view
A nice park to run, play and work out in East river side.
Expect a great time. Fishing, boating, ski jets, all here!!!
Its been cleaned up and renovated, theyve added a nice water area for kids and new benches to sit and relax. You can enjoy a walk, bike ride, watch the boats go by or sit on the grass for a picnic!
Very pretty park with lovely views.
Very nice park and running/walking trail. This park is very large and filled with a soccer field, tennis courts, a playground, and more. I came on a midday Saturday in November and found the park area to be quiet and peaceful and the walking trail along the river was also peaceful but more occupied with runners and people walking. The view of Brooklyn is beautiful and it is a great place to spend time.
The view is really great but for Covid wise it can get crowded so be wary. The weather is good and theres sufficient seating for you for a picnic with a couple of friends! Its not really accessible by bus or car youd have to walk a bit but the pictures will be worth it
Has a great track, a couple of soccer and baseball fields. The playground isnt the greatest in NYC, but thats the only negative. Great view of the bridge.
Amazing place to spend a quiet time and watch the seaplane making runs.
Its a beautiful place to be! It is peaceful! It has so much that you can do there. Its just sad that they are going to destroy the park so they can raise it to a higher level. Im in fear that once theyre finished a big wave will come because the heavier the water will rise and possibly flood all of the Lower East Side!
This is one of the best kept secrets of New York. A little hard to get to by public transport (except there is a ferry dock close by), this park is an absolute must visit for locals and tourists alike. There is that amazing river side walk and free basketball and tennis courts and a baseball field. If you havent been here, you are missing a NYC gem.
I love it here.. my whole family really enjoys our walks, picnics and workouts here. Even my Harley enjoys her grass time! 😊
Love this park, I grew up here. Unfortunately the city is trying to close this park for 3 years 😣
I have to say..I lived in this area and the park is amazing place to enjoy picnics, play softball, amphitheater hear music and just scrollingBut due to Hurricane Sandy 2012.. the park had to be shut down 2020. They have to raise the walls. Leveling the beans of some sort. It would prevent future flooding. Sadden me to see all those beautiful trees cut down. What a lost of oxgen.. they really dont understand what roll trees really play.Take a visit to this park sometime in the near future to see the end result because right now it filled with cut trees and trucks & barriers.
Fantastic place to catch good free music in the summer. Large open and on the water, great scenery. There isnt much opportunity for grilling in my opinion but its done. If you are going more for the facilities like the tennis courts, etc., dont get your hopes up. There not much to impress and usually taken.
Amazing energy in the world of the people 🙌
Beautiful park on the LES that allows you to take in the East River. Cool nature, places to play sports, restrooms, benches to enjoy the water. Lots of graffiti warning about something maybe happening to the park. Hopefully nothing does.
My favorite Run Path on the east side. Sick views of the Brooklyn skyline.
I live two blocks away. Its nice and serene for the most part. Sometimes I like to walk along it to get some fresh air, or just sit on a bench and stare out at the river. Great place for jogging or riding a bike. A LONG stretch to the southern tip of Manhattan.
Beautiful place nice place for a good long walk . Nice view of the East River. Amazing spectacle the day of the fireworks. Lots of boats cruising along the river. As they waited for the barges . Its beautiful any day of the year I am sure. I would visit again.
Nice place for making exercises of different types along in families or in groups is pretty much big, so dont worry about for interfering with people do exercises too. Just the bathrooms needs to remanufactured, sooners it is really important.
My little personal getaway. I grew up in the Lower East Side and Ive been going there since I was a child for bbqs, parties, watching the fireworks on the 4th of July, playing football, & for the the last 20 years Ive been running and training there. Running along the river in the early morning watching the sun rise is one of the most beautiful things Ive ever seen. Im blessed to be able to do it on a daily basis. I highly recommend this park for anyone.
The East River Park as the locals have called it since 1939 is the place to go when you want to ride your bike, around the island if youre up to it. You have a track and field, 4 baseball fields not including the 2 big fields on Grand st. B4 the amphitheater at the top of the hill. All the work that has been done over the years and shes beautiful, If you need a day to relax read a book or go 4 a jog ,we even have tennis courts, enjoy the time you have. Best.
Beautiful running biking dog walking 😍. Love ❤️ the beautiful trees
It is a beautiful place with a beautiful view. ideal for cycling, running or just spend an afternoon sitting appreciating the landscape. It has soccer, tennis and basketball fields. the only bad thing are the restrooms are very dirty.
RIP east river park. Ill miss you.
Beautiful sceneryGreat place to jog, ride a bike or long boardOr simply sit in the grass n relax.Tennis is another optionDog run fishing etcI have love the east river my entire life
Wonderful place to bad Bill Deblacio must it up by closing it!
A nice park along the East River with plenty of concrete trails for running, walking, or biking. The views of Brooklyn over the river are nice and the park is fairly clean. Id recommend this park for anyone looking to get away from the city (although you can still hear and see the traffic) and enjoy some exercise outside.
It would be a nice park.( I like to go for a bike ride there). But it gets crowded and during summer a lot of loud people spend time in the park. I Would prefer it to be more peaceful place. Forget about relaxing in the park during summer. Music blasting from boom boxes, smell of BBQ and pot all over. Dont forget about alcohol. Lol you can smell that too.
Its a great park with a east river view. A tennis court, basketball courts, baseball fields, and football fields also a small soccer field. Plus a track and handball court and amphitheater for special events. You can also bbq in areas designated. Youll see the grills. Great place for a picnic with the family or to exercise.
Cant wait for the construction to be over, currently nice place for soccer game, short run or walk, and to see the East River.
The tennis courts are an absolute disgrace. Cracks in every court, giant holes in all the nets, no windscreens, and most amazingly, no water that works in the fountain. These are the only courts available to downtown Manhattan residents who now pay $15 for a single play ticket or $200 for a seasonal pass. Do we not have the right to proper tennis courts at these rates when uptown there are more than 75 beautifully kept tennis courts? These courts have been like this for upwards of seven years. Its disgusting. New basketball courts along the pier downtown, countless renovations in East River Park, but the tennis courts languish at worse than Third World conditions. Please complain to City Council Representative Rosie Mendez who controls the budget for this district.
Really disappointing. Expected more having seen the reviews. Not a lot of green areas to sit down and relax. Grass has not been cut in a long time. Generally felt like it was not taken care of in a long time. Compared to south Manhattan, the views across the river are not as good, the walk ways are decent but not as good. Lots of people were BBQing and playing loud music.
Could be better if the bikes had a speed limit in bike line and enforce the respect for the people walking around, since is a turistic place.
Great place to go very relaxing nice views as well beautiful jogging women to meet there! Love the walks there very pleasant and enjoyable then go to Soho and have a great meal and nice stores to visit and buy.even street vendors arketPLACE.Beautiful chics as well? !RATINGS ☆☆☆☆☆
Decent enough park, if you play basketball, handball, paddleball. Its great for a bike ride, or just sitting in the park reading a book on a sunny day. There is no handicap parking, and the bathrooms are not always open.Other than that its a City park. There are plenty of stores. Please hit the like link and check out my Youtube page
They are going to close the Whole East River Park for 4 years u think they going to give the park for us orf or for the rich
Long running trial right along the east river, with ball and soccer fields on the other side. Tons of locals use this park to get outdoors, and there are some pretty good views from the park of Brooklyn and the Williamsburg Bridge. Although we went in the late fall, it was a nice walk still and is probably very beautiful in the spring when everything is green and blooming. Everthing appears to be well maintained, lot of places to sit and rest and some green space too. A good place to walk a dog along the river. But, public transport to this area isnt as easy as other parts of the city.
This park will keep you healthy, they got tennis, B ball, soccer, baseball and more. And its so hard to find parking you will get a least one mile added to your daily walk.
Beautiful park on the East River 😎
This would be a place that you would go when you peace. This is a perfect place to spend time with all of your family and friends here.
Great park! Sadly, it will be closed for a while so that a berm can be built (at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars) to protect the adjoining neighborhood from the ravages of global warming induced flooding.
I lived in the projects right across from this park for over 20 years, it was the best times I had growing up and my children will enjoy it as well. Go for walks watch the sun set exercise or o er the summer find music playing all thru over the river.
Great view and weather. Love bringing my dog here, wish they would mow the grassy areas. However dont mind it my dog loves the vegetation to eat.
I love the East River Park this is a place to come to take a nice walk along the water see everyone living their lives enjoy the fresh air the scenery and the boats just passing by.. I love the lowest side I grew up there before it looked this way but now its better than ever come down some time a take a walk and see what Im talking about ....
Bbq with friends. Awesome little area. Group gathering
Great place for a jog. There are always people playing on the baseball diamonds and you get a fantastic view while running under the Williamsburg Bridge. I dont know if I would come here late at night, though.
Walk to the water, you will have a great view.
I love this park! Great view, great people and lots to do. Downfall is how difficult it is to get to. You have to go up over the overpass then down then you get to the park, its a hike but its nice.
I come here to party at this establishment when its LGBTQI night. The atmosphere is warming. The employees are wonderful. The crowd is nice. The drinks are good. The music by Frankie Paradise is mesmerizing. The party goers are friendly
The East River Park is one of the most beautiful places where you can visit and enjoy for free in NYC. Now, during the Pandemia, many people go and barbecue, run, play tennis, walk on its tracks, fish, sit and picnic, or simply just enjoy the river view. And, smell the flowers, or bring their kids to the playground, and some even dance, while keeping the social distance at once. The best part is that it is all free of charge.
A lot of construction here. Great place to walk . Beautiful view.
The F. D. R. Drive. Is great for just about everything. Biking, picnics.barbecue.tennis yoga. Baseball, jogging, biking, fishing, restroom if needed. Beautiful view of east river. Also football track and field this is a true secret of New York.
We watched the 4th of July fireworks there. The park was clean. Tip: move as far north as possible to see the fireworks. Downside:they need to find a way to get people out safer. It was insane!
This is an original park by the water. North and South are modem docks and scenic outlooks, but this little nub has been here for at least a hundred years - the original ferry dock before the Williamsburg bridge existed according to a plaque in green patina. Plus you can go right down into the water if you choose. Amazing views and touch of history, enjoy
Its nice place to run or go and be relax
I have to give the parks dept 2 thumbs up.The parks are always clean, and when the parks are open so are the bathrooms. The bathrooms are clean and are all handicap accsess. Its a horrible time due to the pandemic, but the parks are open for walks and safe. Most parks have form of parking, stores and or hotdog carts are also near by.I recommend having some tissue, when you use the bathroom, but otherwise, if your tired of being in your house, by all means go out get a cup of coffee, and just take a walk in the park. Also while crime is always an issuse, just keep an eye open.If you like my review please hit the like link and check out my Youtube page.Chef Eddie Santiago
Baseball field was completely unplayable. Infield was choked with weeds and grass, no pitchers mound, and missing home plate. This was despite verbal assurances from Parks that field was in good condition for our league games today. Had to cancel the games because it was unsafe to play. This is simply unacceptable.
The East River is going through some dramatic changes, lots of renovations going on and its looking better than ever, come out, picnic, barbeque or just take a walk along the river with views of three bridges, its a very relaxing place to this summer.
Pretty park above water, impressive how it is made. I personally like it. Also they have a few stands for beverage. I also like the stage near the water. Beautiful place. Everyone should visit.
Very good place good jog and have a barbecue and picnic
When you want to go for a nice stroll, jog or bike ride or just look at the boats passing by. It’s also great for tennis, baseball, soccer, football, and other activities held in the corresponding sports fields.
A great neighborhood park with beautiful old trees, but parts of it are in need of repair, and other parts that were supposed to have finished construction in 2017 are still not even started (thanks a lot de Blasio). Hopefully they wont bulldoze it per the new plan, since its a wonderful place on the weekend to walk your dog, jog, do some fishing, grill and chill, and all the other things our very diverse community loves to do there. Its got far more soul than Hudson River Park. Bury the FDR, but keep our park!
Great view of the East River and the Williamsburg bridge. Some areas do have homeless people sleeping by benches especially near the concert hall area. I dont know for night time but day time is completely safe
I grew up in the projects across the FDR. I live in Orlando, and I really miss the East River Park. Now that it has been renovated, it is beautiful. They just have to get some patrol there on weekends during late evenings to keep people from blasting music too late at night n not allowing people to get some sleep.
Been going here for the better part of my life. I have seen its evolution. Quite lovely for the children and those who live nearby. All ppl should be able to enjoy the view. Very sad that the city is trying to tear it down.
I hadnt been here in a while but I spent a lot of time there as a kid. theyve spruced it up since then it looks great wether your a runner or biker this is the place. Theres also an amphitheater with live summer concerts.
Small area :( and still under construction :(
Its just pleasing to the eye and calming
The fields are a nice escape from the streets however I wish that they would open the walking path so that you can walk further south without taking a detour.
Lots of activities and scenic location along the East River. Accessible. Tennis, basketball, softball, biking, walk/run track and soccer field. Even more post Covid-19 and summer activities.
My fiancée and I come here every other weekend, enjoy the water and lights and bring takeout to enjoy by the river picnic style and talk for hours. Its perfect!
This is a great park it has everything. Soccer, baseball, football all in one also has night stadium lights. Dirt field and turf so you have a choice. It also has track and field and tennis court. Basketball and volleyball as well. 3 restrooms one near the tennis court one in the old fireboat house and near the place for bbq area. Play ground for the kids and picnic area. No more handball court under the bridge thats gone. You have outside theater with stage for music. You can ride bike and jog there. Its a pretty safe park, police patrol there as well as park enforcement which a station in corlears park near East River Park. I find it safer then central park at night my opinion. Been living here and going to the park since 1969 6 years old.
Finally finished. Soft and comfy
A Great Park to go and Relax Yourself, think how Beautiful and Wonderful is Life for a Moment. A Quiet Place for your Soul and Mind!!!!! Come and Enjoy.
Pleasant park good for all audiences. Wide and runs around the edge of the tip of the island so the park has length to it. Great place to enjoy a quick break.
Fantastic views- well lit- pretty accessible from the lower east side- well maintained- saw a couple with a small table: table cloth: flowers: ice bucket; wine and what looked a 3 course meal-
Needs a good cleaning and homeless encampments need to be removed. Landscaping crew should get some professional training on how to keep the grounds tidy. This park needs a major overhaul!
A cultural mecca. Families come out here in droves to celebrate. As you walk you can smell the bbq and everyone is licking their fingers. Music is playing loudly and people are actuallu dancing. Just wish US was a bit more free spirited toward street entrepreneurs. The ambiance would make a very cool bazaar or night market.
Great place for a picnic, BBQ or just a walk. I grew up coming to this park and I have watched it change over the years. I bring my kids here often and we have a great time
East River Park offers great views over the water and Brooklyn watedfront. It also has some quality facilities like the tennis courts, ball filelds and track (under renovation in late 2017). Otherwise its quite scruffy, although improved over the years. Entranceways are poor, but dont let them deter you. Park is now very safe, even at night
Its a nice park to walk have a nice picnic in the summer time its Great for walking Dogs they have a Dog PARK there which is cool also in lots of parking spaces too😊 The Citi bank bikes are over there to for a nice bike ride in the park on a Beautiful day
Unfortunately, the track and surrounding field at this parks seems to have been neglected by the parks department. Parts of the track are missing sections and even the lines on the field have been torn up. If you are coming to scrimmage have a practice, you may have an unpleasant time as a result. If youre just walking by and taking in the views, it isnt a bad park to walk through.
Great getaway from the city : walk, run or bike...
I hate this Park. You have to have a permit to Use their tables and Grills and thats not Fare to Other who wants to have Fun and its not Very Clean and the park need Jesus to Save them. I Love the Bronx park were You dont fight over Things like this and Stuff.
Gotham City!
Who doesnt love a scenic bike/running/walking path made just for the pedestrian/non-drivers? Im a huge fan of this path since it starts around 35th and runs all the way down to Brooklyn Bridge. I would estimate its about 5 miles each direction which is a decent length of path for even the long runner. On this route you can run under the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges which is quite fantastic and its extremely scenic the entire route since its right along the water. Theres views galore and I cant help but stop for some photo ops along the way. BRING YOUR CAMERA!
Great place that need to be loved and saved
Always a great place to visit, & beautiful scenery is everywhere.Highly recommended. TIme to remove Lindsays name from this park.He was not a mayor that did anything good for NYC. It was nyc at its worst, thanks to mayor L.
The park is beautiful. Now here goes the rent 😢
East River Park Field #6 Nice Boardwalk too
Came here for a nice walk to the seaport. It was a beautiful day relaxing seeing all the new things built in the park. Looks really great and the city is improving.
I play tennis at this city park during the summer. It has 12 courts, in ok condition, and spectacular views of the East River. The park is huge and includes baseball fields, running track, and soccer field.
Its a cool park. By the time you get this message it will gone. There gonna send in the bulldozers and turn it into a new shopping area, which is sad.Money talks! Especially billions.
Easily the best park on the east river side of Manhattan. Has amazing views of the East River and Brooklyn. It is also cool to look at the Williamsburg Bridge from underneath
Finally, government doing something for all the people with a great result. Excellent access to the East River from 14th Street all the way down to the Brooklyn Bridge. Excellent bike path.
The cycling path is dilapidated and has many pockmarks; it appears in fits and starts; and the is narrow between 13th and 16th Streets. The tennis courts often have a multi-hour wait. The new eastern pathway along the river is outstanding.
Nice place to take a walk and smell the river that was used for dumping illegal and chemical substances, suicides from people who jump off the bridges and cement shoes mafia dumping grounds from the 1950s.10 out of 10. Will come again
Great place to play baseball or softball, has a nice view as well. The only problem is that the balls are a bit easy to lose if you hit them too hard.
Nice park with a great halloween dogs parade!
Great area for long walks and exercise. I live close by and often take my work calls here as I walk and enjoy the beautiful views
Its a beautiful park with plenty of space. There are spots to play volleyball, to play soccer, to play baseball, and tennis. You can even barbecue.
There is plenty of fields along the east river for baseball, tennis courts, biking and walking trails that were recently completely redone, gardens, and even exercise equipment you can go biking along the east river
Amazing place to spend with family and friends
This park is always kept clean. View of the city is amazing. Great for jogging, biking, walking, and my favorite rollerblading!
Its one of my favorite places and it needs to be saved..there are plans in the works that will destroy it..I love this park, I grew up here and I dont want to lose it..
Very open, green space. Bbqing allowed in certain areas, permit required. Great place to job, picnic, play catch, walk your dog or bicycle up and down the east river
Had a super fun boat ride it was docked on 23 Rd Street New York City and I had a great time with the family ynvs book and boards and DEFJAM universal studios . Be sure to stay tuned to book and boards events . And also the book and boards girls club
Its a bit out of the way and sometimes dicey characters in the area, but the BBW area facilities have been developed and have everything you need. Its also close to a beautiful running area along the water and a childrens park.
The East River Drive park has been a peaceful haven but, has many activities available. The park has been ruined by Bill Deblasio and his plans to build a sea wall.
Theres Peace that Atmosphere there...The Realm of thy Spirit coming down fromHeaven... In Jesus! Name,Amen...Power N Love 💕 and of a Sound Mind..Amen...
NYC park very large on the east river all kinds of sports games good cycling jogging no pool very long you can ride the bicycle to wall street then to Hdson river park and all the way to Washington Bridge by interconnecting parks.
Nice area yo walk and enjoy views of NYC skyline and the river.
Its a great park to play with the children, ride bike, basketball, baseball, nd so on. Nd it has great views of Brooklyn. Nd on the 4th of July u have a great view of the fireworks.
Seeing the Mountain Goats soundcheck this afternoon with my 12-year-old GRL who has been listening to the poignant Dance Music since she was a kid--she said, Ive been listening to that song (and watching the sock-puppet video) since I was three--makes this park magical! Weve seen some magical shows here before, but this is really top shelf! Seeing John Darnielle and crew is yet another typical-yet-mindblowing experience--and, after the soundcheck, we got on our bikes, rode down the incline, passing John (on his cell phone) saying, See ya later John--please play Dance Music!
Its a very calm and aesthetically beautiful. And theres also different restaurants around it and if you dont go to the park you can go to the restaurant and look out at the water.
A BEAUTIFUL and serene place to relax. Many people come to enjoy SUNSHINE and atmosphere. Restaurants are nearby. Variety of stores for takeout as well. Parking can be a challenge.
I heading south from Stuyvesant cove park after access long running pier and very narrow walkway next to FDR at 18th & Ave C entrance to this park just north part got basketball field , waterfront seat and jogging track, nice BBQ by permit , bathroom ok maintenance, very impressed on new renovation track & field synthetic turf, mastic pave track many park user can fishing along the river, breezy cool summer tons of activities there re overpass ramp on 10th, Houston also serve uturn for traffic,in general nice park ,with parking
Love this riverside
Renovated:nicely designed;very dangerous, especially for little childrens or for yourself;because of bikers;they go very fast with disregard for the safety of others.you may turn your walking direction suddenly;and all of a sudden a bicycle is coming at a high rate of speed;and, there you go;you in the ER or the cemetery;if is a little child even worse;I experienced it with me;and with my grandchildrens;like always, nothing will be done, until somebody gets killed.by the way;Im a ny state chaplain;which are considered first responders.
Beautiful and relax, I dont like looking into Brooklyn LOL but the sight was nice. A lot of people around but everyone was careful and they were wearing mask and far apart.
Great place to take the dog for a walk ...
I love this park. It has everything I want: a place to run, ride, and exercise. Also, I can bring my kids for a walk. Its very convenient.

The place needs better cleaning, especially the ramp to cross over, same garbage for months. They also need a dog run, lots of land not put to use.
