The floor was a little cold but apart from that it was nice. I would recommend wearing some thick socks and enjoy your time in there. The cats are very friendly and taken good care of. We were there at 4 pm and a few cars were asleep which is cool. I loved that the place didn’t smell and there was a restroom. The staff are nice and there is a little souvenir shop.

It was my first visit to Meow Parlour. Very cool place. I reserved a time online. There were probably 10 people in with me but it’s a large space/rooms so you have plenty of space to visit with all the cats.There are many cat toys and cool cat tees and spaces for the cats to chill and nap.l the cats are great. Kittens and older cats. Amazing they all coexist. I love that they are lo available for adoptionThere is a store in the front with cat toys, cute stickers, shirts, candles, and anything cat related. The team working the front and in the cat room were friendly and helpful.

Very cute and nice place in Manhattan. Its large, but still pretty cozy with the cats and cafe edibles to enjoy. I went as a little trip with my partner, but after the experience we had, we hope to go for a nice date every now and then!

Its such a cute place with healthy, happy cats. Spending time playing with them can make you feel happy for a while! I think its a great spot for kids—theyll be entertained and learn how to interact with animals in the right environment. Overall, its a super fun and engaging activity!

The kitties were cute and friendly, mostly playful. Place was clean and nicely designed. One suggestion is that all cats’ nails shall be trimmed every week since some can be quite active with inexperienced customers. I met three staff in the afternoon, two were friendly. The first staff (2:00 on Tuesday afternoon) rolled her eyes and was very impatient when asked to repeat the questions. It seems like there were quite a few comments about staff being rude. I suspect it’s the same staff. That’s also why I’m giving it a 4 star review. The vanilla cake (except for icing) is amazing. Not sure where you got it from, please keep getting it. It makes me nostalgic.

The cats are amazing, very friendly, playful, even cuddly!!! The area they resign in was clean and welcoming. Staff were kind as well. I definitely recommend stopping by and supporting these little guys. Make sure you give the little guy in V.I.P some love too, he was a sweetheart. My favorites from my trip were Rusty and Hatter. Rusty was the sweetest boy, slept with me the entire time and was super nice. I wish I could’ve taken him home back to Jersey. Hatter was rubbing against the glass waiting for attention the moment I made eye contact with him, an underrated character. I am hoping to come back again soon!!! Chappell and Charli were awesome too.

Had a wonderful time with the playful cats! The younger ones were especially energetic and friendly with guests, while some of the senior or shy cats preferred their own space. Overall, it was well worth the experience, and I’ll likely visit again!

Came here on a Sunday at 1PM (booked online). I love that this is a rescue and the cats are well taken care of. I enjoyed meeting all the cats. I will 1000% come back again! Im a huge animal lover living in a non pet-friendly rental so this place is amazing!They have a bathroom and an adjacent coffee shop that was closed on the day I went. They have a small gift shop too.

Such a great cafe! Very very spacious with tons of kitties to play with. I love that you get to take your shoes off. Make sure to ask to play with the little kitty in the closet in the back- he is super friendly and cuddly!

Super cute cats and lovely room to interact with them. Many of them are kittens so they’re very playful. There is plenty of seating available, including benches and booths where you can work. All the cats are adoptable and it was hard to resist taking one home!

Meow Parlour is amazing. Wonderful, fun, clean place to visit for adults and kids of all ages (just be sure to sign up for kids hours if under 9 yrs old).The staff there is lovely. The cats and kittens are adorable and so much fun to play with. I have been coming to visit the cafe for 3 years and visited their new (AMAZING) location on Essex last week and am blown away at the incredible space they set up for cats and people to find each other. I found my new best friend, Sparrow, there and could not be more grateful.

Meow Parlour Cat Café in New York is an absolute delight for cat lovers! The cats are incredibly friendly and affectionate, making the experience so enjoyable. The staff are equally wonderful—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. There are plenty of play areas for the cats, ensuring they’re happy and entertained, which makes for a lively and fun atmosphere.

Such an adorable place filled with many friendly and affectionate cats. I signed up for a Yoga With Cats session and loved it! The yoga itself was not too advanced, but the cats would pass by and brush up for some pets while I was in yoga poses. It was so difficult because I couldnt focus! What a wonderful place to visit for all cat lovers. There was a cat with no tail and another cat with one blind eye, they were the most loving cats there. I would have taken them home if I didnt already have two cats. I really hope they get adopted by a loving family. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to adopt cats.

The new larger location and space is great, but not worth $25 a ticket for the same 50 minutes of cat cafe time. I remember when it used to be around $15 at the old location. That was a fair price for the experience. I would come back way more if it was cheaper

I had such a great experience here. They are strict with time slots so be on time!! It’s also close to a bunch of great Chinese food. The cats were so cute and easy to play with. As someone who isn’t always 100% comfortable with cats I had a great time! You can also adopt and they have super cute merch.

A cat lover’s dream! The new location is amazing and the cats were all so cute and unique. The staff was awesome and friendly but remember this place is for the cats comfort first and foremost. Half of them will probably just be sleeping or doing their own thing (these are cats after all) so be respectful. Great place to go if you’re thinking of adopting and want to spend time with a cat in their environment before committing. If I didn’t already have 2 at home I would probably have left with a third!Make a reservation!!!

If you like cats then this is a great place to check out in NYC. They do book up fast. My friend booked us a spot at 5pm on a Saturday and we got there early. There is a cafe right next door if you come before your appointment time. We both enjoyed our time here playing with the cats. The staff were very nice and the cats were playful and active.

Honestly the best cat cafe I have ever been to 🙌🏼 Not only a lovely venue with fantastic staff but the cats are absolutely amazing! Theyre clearly well looked after and loved and that brings out a very playful side to them. I think Grace has to be a standout at the moment for how affectionate she is, if I lived in New York Id be snapping her up.

I visited Meow Parlour with my mother-in-law and 11 year old son. We had the most wonderful experience and cannot wait to return. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reserved time (YES make reservations AHEAD OF TIME- it enhances the experience for everyone attending and most importantly for their lovely cats and kittens). We were welcomed in by Panda the cutest little chonk came right over to say hello!I love that the reservations cap the number of guests at a time (8 I believe!) The 50 minute visit is just enough time to play and get to know the cats. The staff is extremely welcoming and they will answer any and all questions you have. There are so many toys to use as you engage with the kitties. They have ample space to move about, climb, play, and snooze!We can’t wait to return to visit Meow Parlour, with our reservations of course!

I’ve been to a few cat cafes and Meow Parlous was the best! Cats were so adorable and friendly and they had enough space and toys for cats and customers. They were also very very friendly and nice. I really enjoyed time with their cats. They have really adorable products related cats, I really want to get some next time. You should visit here if you want to go to a cat cafe. 🫶🏻

Great vibes with the cutest adoptable kitties! Adopted our baby from here :) It was a clear and organized process. Also came here for yoga with cats last night and had a blast!Cute cat items (like beds and toys) and other merch like shirts, hats, stickers, etc.Staff members are very caring towards the cats but just alright towards humans. Doesnt really stop me from coming back cuz the cats are always the highlight!

The adoption process was fair and timely. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to adopt or that just needs an emotional boost with the help of beautiful, fun kitties.

Me and my boyfriend went here to hang out with the cats and its was so adorable! The little kitties were running around and all the cats were very friendly and approachable, not to mention well cared for. Amazing experience, would recommend!

Great experience. The cats were very friendly and active. They responded well to the toys that were provided. There was only one grumpy cat. There were some cool souvenirs including magnets, pins and catnip. The staff were really friendly.

This is the most wonderful cat Cafe! Huge excellent macaron Cafe next door. All the cats are kittens which are so fun to play with! They are so silly and never get tired. Fifty minutes was not enough time, next time I will book a double session! Staff is really kind and loves the cats. Its nice they limit how many people can come in. Masks are required I think.

Requires reservationWe didnt eat anything here but we did play with the cats. we kind of wished there were more cats.A lot of the cats were napping and youre not supposed to disturb them, so with 8 or 9 people 1-2 awake cats (even though there were 5 ish sleeping cats and 3 cats hiding in another room) it makes an odd balance of making sure the cats are respected and having something for the humans to do.

It was so much fun going to this Cafe. Its the perfect size for a small group of people to have snacks and hang out with the kitties. A very chill, relaxing experience. The staff is super friendly, as are the cats. They have really cute gifts for cats and people. The food was delish. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been there twice and I’ll keep going! The cats are adorable, most of them very playful (which I recommend if you are going with the intention of adopting a cat) sometimes it’s difficult to play with the cats since they go to the other people there but if you’re lucky you’ll bond with a cat and have an amazing time there! In my last visit my boyfriend adopted two beautiful kitties and I’m sure we’ll keep going to spend more time in this cat paradise lol

My only issue with the reservation system is it doesn’t really accommodate visitors to the city. This is more of a local place.Very clean and open concept.Staff are super nice.Hey, if I loved in the city I’d be down here as much as possible.

Arrived for the 3pm slot, and most of the cats are taking their cat naps, and theyre so peaceful to watch. The kittens are so small and playful.Staff was very accommodating to our unexpected delay. Since there were still available spots for the next hour, we were able to join then.The food menu is the cafe next door, decent for the price but thats not what were here for anyway.

This cat cafe is the best!! It’s more like a kitten cafe. The cats are super playful, friendly, kind, and adorable. Claire particularly is one of the sweetest cats I’ve met. The place is really clean and I would suggest to book ahead of time before coming here since it’s always sold out.

This is a wonderful place, exactly what you think about when you think of a cat cafe. Friendly kittens running around and napping on you. Depending on where you sit you may smell the litter boxes which are not visible but still detected by smell so i would not recommend ordering anything to eat, leave that for after at the attached cafe next door. Also you must book in advance!

If you like cat cafes you have to check this place out. The cats are available for adoption too. What a great idea to see if you bond with a cat before adopting! I highly recommend this place!

Had a reservation at 5-5:50 on a Monday. About 6 other people were there. Very friendly staff. The cats had a variety of personalities from chill to playful, while there are others who preferred to do their own thing. There were also a couple of kittens. Would definitely come back :)

Meow Parlour is a calming place in the city where you can spend some time outside of the fast pace of Manhattan to cuddle and play with some cat. The location itself is so neat and provides like of cozy spots for the cats. It is fun to learn about all the cats and they are all rescues (adopt dont shop!) who need homes. Also make sure to check out the merch. Meow Parlour has everything from cute posters, pins, and catnip toys for your own felines. I would recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance. With all this cuteness it is not easy to pop in and hang out.10/10 would visit again!

This cat cafe is also a nonprofit cat rescue. All of the adorable cats are adoptable. I took my computer for “snack time” and did some writing while taking breaks to play with cats and kittens. I hadn’t intended to adopt one, but a tiny kitten curled up in my lap for an hour and he chose me. I applaud Meow Parlour for their thorough adoption screening process. I have my kitten at home now and I love him to pieces. Thanks, Meow Parlour!!

One of the greatest places you could visit in NY! The staff is so accommodating, understanding, and very helpful! They love these cats and recommend a cat that’s perfect for you and your experience, living situation, and care. The adoption process was easy and I’m forever grateful to this place. I went in wanting to adopt another cat but when they advised me to get Moon I was so grateful. She was the perfect cat for a new cat owner like me. Because of their recommendations and interviewing, they carefully select the best homes for these kittens. Regardless if you don’t want to adopt, this is a place that will for sure boost your serotonin from all the sweet kitties running around you. They also give you multiple resources for vet care and advice for behavioral issues, should they arise. I honestly recommend this cafe to everyone I know and I’ll probably adopt from them again. Please consider donating to their Chewy wishlist and visiting the cafe if you’re in town! They also have cute merchandise and treats!

All cats are adoptable, but even if you cant adopt, coming here is beneficial to keep the kitties socialized and playing with humans, with funds helping to care for them. Beneficial for the humans too - pausing to watch cats sleep, play or pet them is just heavenly.The facility is very clean- you wouldnt know there are multiple cats with the filtration units.The cats have the freedom to come and go, above people on pathways, cat trees, cubbys and shelves, or totally away through a discreet exit.Make sure to wear shoes that are easy to remove all youll need to take them off on entering, as well as sanitize your hands.As of this post, due to popularity, you need to make a reservation online for a 50 minute hangout. Worth a visit!

Ridiculously cute kittens. Such friendly staff. What a great experience to meet some adorable felines and perhaps consider adopting one or more. Anyone who’s a cat lover or potential cat lover should come by. And the cafe next door is terrific too.

Cute spot, however it is quite small compared to koneko. And not as many cats. My fav of the 2 is koneko. They have multiple rooms and an outdoor area.

First time visiting a cat café. The café part of the place is... serviceable, but of course you came for the cats.Place was a little more cramped than we anticipated, and a few of the guests hogged some of the cats (though I dont necessarily fault the staff for the latter), but we had a nice time. Meow Parlour is reservation-only and they make you take your shoes off upon entry, so wear socks. All of the cats are lovely, adorable and eligible for adoption. Great place for cat lovers and (well-behaved) families.

Had a much better time here than at Koneko. They only let 10 people in and the kitties there were very playful and curious to strangers. They also have a separate childrens hour time so being with an adult only group was a better experience for us. Many of the cats at Koneko basically ignored me but the babies here were so sweet and even purred up a storm 😭. They also have a nice mask policy for everyone which made me feel more comfortable than the other place.Edit: I ended up adopting my girl from this place and the whole process took only a week. They are constantly having high turn over because they are so great at getting these kitties adopted. Definitely look into going here for your adoption needs!Edit 2: I adopted a 2nd cat from here seamlessly since I was a previous adopter. I now have two lovely girls with me 💞

I have visited for both regular and for kitty yoga and always had a wonderful time!The cats are sweet and the space is really curated to be a stimulating environment for them! The staff is so friendly. The kitties are so cute! The bakery macarons are DELICIOUS. So many places to sit. So many kittens sleeping and wandering around. So many toys to play with! Great team-building mid-day trip for my office.

My happy place when I come to New-York: its an amazing cat shelter, a lovely cat café where all cats can be adopted, a cute place to enjoy a drink and some macarons or lovely cakes made next door (to purchase prior coming), and the team is adorable. I also found cute souvenirs for my friends, which help supporting the cats.You need to book upfront to be sure to have your time slot, this place is a must visit if you love and care about cats. I had an amazing time at Meow Parlour! Staff was great and answered all my questions. Such a sweet spot for those who love animals. The cats were so sweet and seemed well taken care of. They make sure you sanitize your hands before petting the cats and for me that’s awesome. They care about their cats health. We didn’t have to wait and the price was more than fare. They charged $8 for 30minutes. We just walk in but you can make reservations online. They also have yoga class with the kittens and many many events. I’m def coming back sometime soon.

I visited to the meow parlor in Dec. of 2022. My intention was to adopt one of their cats & I ended up adopting a pair of beautiful, socialized kittens. I don’t usually write reviews however, I was triggered by the outrageous 1 star reviews. First and foremost, their website states visitors need an appointment— any disgruntled reviews regarding appointments simply didn’t go further than a quick google search. Second, their staff was KIND and quite frankly their priority are the cats so be reasonable. By this I mean if the cats are asleep of course the experience will be a bit lackluster but it’s $15 for an hour— you’ve probably spent more on a tasteless lunch. Unfortunately, I don’t have much of an opinion about the cafe because all I got was a coffee and tbh it was decent, I don’t think the selling point is their cafe so I couldn’t care less. I will end this review with this: I loved it here, I got attached to a pair of kittens I saw on their website that left the day of my visit but was introduced to a lovely pair of sisters who had just arrived that day. These kittens were stress and because of that they weren’t with the other cats. However, the staff knew i was interested in meeting them so they made an exception and allowed me entrance to their back room to meet them, they even went as far as weaving the cost of a second visit in order for me to return once the kittens were more acclimated. Upon my return the girls were out on the floor and fully flourishing they were playful with the other cats and any guests, you can’t force an experience with any living creatures but you can always try to make the best out of it… also, keep in mind you’re paying $15

Make sure to reserve upfront as I noticed they are pretty busy. The staff knows the animals well and it’s just such an amazing thing that they help with the adoption of the cats!You have to pay a few dollars per half an hour and can also donate some money for the good cause (which is spent for the food and vet costs of the cats).

Lots of cats to play with and relax around. They are great cats that put up with a lot. They were all relatively young. Most were sleeping at first but woke up half way through. Nice to have the food package from next door and just be around the cats while eating. Though they will try to steal the food. The staff is friendly and care about their cats deeply. Great place!

Second time visiting Meow Parlour as a local! As Im writing this review, my paw-tner and I bought tickets for $16 each, tax included, a great price to cuddle cats for fifty minutes ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅThe space was clean and was conveniently furnished with a bathroom, purr-fect after drinking all that tea and coffee from Macaron Parlour (the bakery next door). Meow Parlour also has small but mighty gift shop stocked with cute stationery, apparel, and cat toys. Bonus points for the staff not hogging the cats that are awake (unlike at another NYC cat café 😬)!With this summer being kitten season, if youre looking for lots of engagement from the rambunctious babies, now is the purr-fect time to reserve a fifty-minute slot at Meow Parlour! The last time I visited, many of the cats were adults, as opposed to kittens, and prefer to nap (which I purr-sonally love). If youre extra special, you may get one crawling in your lap and taking a snooze!Overall, the best cat café in the city! Its a shame that Ill be moving away soon, but Ill definitely be back for another reservation when I stop by the city! ∩(・ω・)∩

I adopted my girls Rina and Roku from meow parlour back in December 2022 and let me just say they made the experience so amazing and seamless! The place was nice and clean, they’re respectful to guidelines of Covid with needing masks. All the cats are so cute and friendly. Staff is friendly as well. If you’re looking to adopt let this be your first stop!!

The online booking process was very efficient and user friendly. We got to pick the date & time for our visit, the package we would like, and prefilled our waivers. The staff was absolutely friendly and gave info on all of the wonderful cats there. We had a great time and got our kitty fix in!

A dream come true! i have always wanted to visit a cat cafe and Meow Parlour finally happened! made the reservations online with 1 or 2 days in advance and that was all. Visited them after noon and we were in luck as we were the only one inside so all the cats were available to us. Some were friendly, some were scared, none was aggressive with us! if i would have been living in NY or at least US, i would have adopted at least one of the cats. i cant say much about whats on the menu because all i was interested in were the cats :) there were 6 or 7 cats, 2 of them were asleep, the other were playful. They had a nice souvenir shop also from where i made some purchase. home is where the cats are!

I literally fell in love with every single cat there. They were all so tiny and cute. The workers there were also very nice and helpful. They make you sign a waiver before going in and then proceed with the rules they have when hanging out with the cats. I wish I had gone earlier though because when I went with my boyfriend at 3:00-3:50pm, most of the cats were already taking their naps. Though, I still recommend coming here to admire all the little fur babies.

I just did a cat yoga class this morning at Meow Parlour, and it was so wonderful! The space is big and open so theres lots of room to spread out, and the whole place was very clean. The yoga was fun—a good balance of a little bit of a workout while still being relaxed and beginner-friendly. The kitties were absolutely adorable and there was plenty of time to play with them, and the staff were very nice. I absolutely will be coming back!

A small but cute place to hang with adoptable cats. You need to set a reservation on their site first before going in. A lot of the cats do not like or react to getting pet. The main experience is play, so if youre fine with that, go for it!Theres also sweets and drinks you can purchase, as well as merchandise if you want to support the cafe more.

Definitely a unique experience and one of few cat cafes in NYC. The shop itself does not have the same feel as a cafe, in case youre expecting it to. Its more like a place you can pay to see cats that also serves coffee and sweets. The cafe doesnt feel very clean, but thats to be expected when you devote any space to animals. The staff do attempt to keep it neat as I saw them sweeping/spraying air freshener in the short time I was there.You pay by the half hour and they do recommend reservations. However, the half hour felt like the perfect amount of time to play with some of the cats and enjoy a coffee. They also provide you a 6 minute grace period which is very considerate of them.Overall I would return as its a nice experience when you miss interacting with cats or are looking to adopt one of your own : )

Haven’t tried the cafe part but got the cutest fluffy friend for our cat, the staff was really nice and helpful and the adoption process was much smoother than another shelter we got our first kitty at, we also got to meet the kitty beforehand, which isn’t always the case.If you’re wondering whether there’s going to be enough cats to play with and what’s the good time when they’re playful just call up and ask them, sometimes depending on the number of adoptions they’d have less cats there.They also have the cutest merch.@deeboelgato

Cats were cute but you are not allowed to hold them. They can come to you and you can pet and play with them. They ask you to leave your shoes and coats before entering. Also, they ask you to clean your hands with sanitizer. The store sells tshirts, books, mugs and books about cats. The cafe smells a bit and looks like it needs more attention for cleaning. Staff was very polite and welcoming.

Love meow Parlour. My partner and I come all the time (we always make our reservations for 5 so we get to see the cats all rested!)Love that the reservations help keep the place from being overcrowded. We got our second cat from here and she changed our (and our older cats) lives!

It’s not really a cafe but more like a fancy shelter. It’s a little pricey at $24 per person per 50 min. Kitties are adorable but during our visit, a lot of them were asleep and we’re not supposed to pet them then.

Really great place to hang out with cats, learn more about fostering and how to help, and enjoy tea and macarons. The staff is very friendly and do all possible for you to enjoy your visit. Nice concept, great idea of supporting cat shelters, stylish space. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I didnt like the smell (it was not too bad, but 10+ cats livinng in a small space do smell). I came at 12pm and most of the cats were either sleeping or hiding. However, its nice to have an opportunity to chill with cats in the city :)

First off, the new space is amazing and if youve ever spent time at Meow Parlours prior location youll see the same vibe just expanded upon here. The cats are thriving with more space and the setup also allows for easier engagement with them while not invading other peoples personal space quite as much.Beyond the facilities, Ive always had stellar experiences with staff members here. My partner and I are in the process of adopting a cat soon and working through some travel / timing issues, and the entire staff was so kind to listen to all of my concerns/anxieties while offering really good and honest advice on how to proceed.Even if you arent looking to adopt a cat, this is a great place to decompress and spend some quality time with cats (because time spent with cats is never time wasted, amirite?). Were lucky to have places like this in the city that genuinely care about the well-being of these animals and also facilitate adoptions!

A relaxing go to spot for people who love cats and animals- it’s a very soothing experience to be surrounded by (usually) 10+ cats in the cafe, where you can play together, pet and hang around. Book in advance to ensure you get a spot, especially during popular hours. The cafe also offers baked goods, desserts and drinks from the next door cafe.I started as a visitor but now also have been partnering with Meow Parlour as a cat foster parent. It’s a truly rewarding experience, with a team of dedicated people who wish for the best for these adoptable cats and kitties. Meow Parlour also runs fun events such as cat behaviorist panel sessions, cat yoga, drag bingo etc. It’s great for people who wish to spend some quality time with cats, and people who are thinking of adoption as you get to see the cat’s behavior while visiting.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is absolutely amazing, I couldn’t ask for better service! I was greeted so pleasantly at the door and could tell that this place was going to be special. To be able to hang out with all of the cats was super neat and the best thing is that THEY ARE ALL UP FOR ADOPTION!!!! I could tell that all of the cats were well loved by the staff and I could tell the crew loved their job. Will definitely be back next trip!!!

Extremely relaxing and calming atmosphere. I think the employees there do a great job of maintaining as well as introducing the cat space to visitors. This was my first time there and it was a pleasure. The kittens loved the front desk employee and would meow and touch them affectionately so I know for sure they treat the felines well there. Would love to visit again.

My new favorite place in nyc, I’m a cat person and cannot have a cat at the moment unfortunately so it’s great to come here and play with all the cute cats. The money also goes to helping the cats get adopted so it’s a great cause! I went last weekend and they had 7 adorable kittens to play with.

I LOVE this place. I used to come here to play with the kitties when I lived in an apartment where I couldn’t have my own cat. Then when I was ready to adopt, I adopted from Meow Parlour. We had an amazing experience at Meow Parlour! Not only were the staff incredibly friendly and knowledgeable (because yes, there are cat bios posted but sometimes you have a cat on your lap and cannot move) but they helped with my coffee order and with a toy that was liberated by a sassy adoptable cat! I couldn’t be happier supporting a small business, especially one that helps adopt cats and bring joy just by allowing us to stop by and love on the cats. This place is absolutely lovely. It’s cute, cozy, and comfortable, and there are plenty of cats and kittens to love on! If you’re visiting the city and missing your cats at home (as I was) there is no better experience. Loved this kitty cafe! You pay $6/30min spent there, cutling and playing with cats (in my opinion cheap). You have the possibility to have coffee and cookies delivered to you from next door (very good). The staff is friendly and the cats mostly social. There was 2 kittens when I visited yesterday... So adorable!!!

This place was amazing!! My first time ever visiting a cat cafe, and everything I could have ever dreamed of. Not too expensive, clean and inviting atmosphere, and both the cats and staff were super friendly. Such an amazing idea and a great implementation of it. Amazing place, cats where super friendly and some very playful (others were asleep) 🐈‍⬛A bit tight, but they only accept 6 people at a time (with reservation ahead of time on their website for the weekends).We ordered chocolate milk and it was amazing, also recommend the ice cream sandwich for sure 🍨I wish more cats where there in our day.

We had a reservation, the second we walked in the lady looked at us weirdly. We gave her our names and she was very rude when she said nope its not here, I dont see it We even showed her it,if Im being honest theyre probably racist.

This is a wonderful little place with so many adorable kitties. I came here with my boyfriend and the employees were both very lovely. The kitties look well taken care of, and they are all available for adoption as well. They seem to take in cats from shelters to encourage adoption, which I think is amazing. Meow Parlour is a very nice clean place to visit. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The cats and kittens get to socialize with guests and the staff. There are toys to play with the kitties and their bios are on the wall. They show you who is available or who is pending adoption. I had a very nice time there.

The place is great fun. It was our third time there and the place felt cleaner than in the past. The cats were a bit more subdued , but still a good experience. If you love cats, but either cannot have them at your home, or dont have the capacity to look after them, this is a great alternative.

One of the more laid back spots Ive seen, the staff there were amazing and seemed to always love the cats. Definitely coming back for a second time, i loved the cats too much 😭

The cafe next door was very nice and the drinks were superb. However, the actual space itself was cramped and they allowed way too many people in for the small number of cats and space. There were 9 cats total (7 of them being very small kittens) and 9 people in there, not including staff. The 1 to 1 ratio made it very difficult to see all the cats as a lot of the cats were bonded pairs and always together which made it more of a 2 to 1 ratio, cats to people. Even further, some of the cats were shy and hid the whole time making it and even greater ratio of less cats to people. Staff was very friendly but the strict 50 minute window was bizarre as other cafes Ive been to have had a 1 hour plus window for the same price. I know that 10 minutes doesnt seem like a big difference but it is felt. In addition, there was a no picking up cats rule which I hadnt experienced before in other places, it makes sense for the small kittens but the older cats should be fine to be picked up given that they have no injuries or physical issues. I also feel that there should be more older cats to be given the chance to socialize and be adopted as they are often neglected.Still, very cute place but it could be operated far better than it currently is.

UPDATE: about 48 hours after the below experience I received a DM on Instagram from the owners. They were very apologetic and explain that this situation wasn’t isolated one and that they had addressed the staff member specifically. Furthermore, they invited myself and my son to come back for a private tour of where they care for the kittens, in the café itself, and to receive desserts from their dessert shop, which is a few doors down. The owners are very welcoming, very warm and gave us five star treatment. I know we live in a world with people blow things out of proportion very often. In my opinion, the best way to combat is with accountability and righting wrongs. These owners did that exceptionally, and my son still talks about this place to date.Concept great however customer service needs work. I came on a Saturday and was told no walk in availability. That wasn’t a problem, I just began talking to the woman at the front (brunette)about adoption services. As having this discussion 2 Caucasian women walked up to the window peaking in. The worker from the back (blonde) walks out saying to the pair “do you want to come in? Come in.” Then walks them past myself and my son into the parlor. The brunette looks appalled and asked the blonde 3x what she was doing. The blonde responded each time “they’re good trust me”. The brunette begin apologizing and then I just leave. This may be a one off occurrence buts it one that I had to explain to a 5 year old child about how we were told we could not come in with a reservation but these Caucasian women got to walk right in. That can have a negative long term impact.

Amazing place to get to hang out with kitties! We got our little mischief maker Kelly from Meow Parlour and her and our other cat Hector are little kitty Bonnie and Clydes, teaming up and making our house so much more fun. Thank you!!!!!!!

My husband and I had the best time at Meow Parlour. We opted to skip food and had the best time playing with the cats. Reservations are a must! We appreciate that the number of patrons are limited so there is plenty of Kitty love to go around and the cats have room to play and aren’t overwhelmed. We loved that the cats are so loved and cared for. We will definitely visit again.

This cafe/cat cuddles is an amazing little hidden Gem, they are handicapped accessible!!! (The cafe however is not but they are more then accommodating and will bring you your snacks) And the kitties are wonderful and adoptable!When we went Mr. tux may have been a snack stealer lol but he found a wonderful home (remember these are rescues we don’t know sometimes how they had to fend for themselves to eat)We plan on visiting again when we are in town.

Cute place. 8$ per half hour. The cats are mostly asleep and when they’re not they are uninterested in playing. But you can’t blame them cuz they’re cats, who would want to be touched by strangers. It’s better to nap. The cats are very cute so you can still take photos of them while they’re sleep and they’re all up for adoption! To be honest, I was very bored but you can’t put less than four stars for cute cats

My partner and I came here for our anniversary back in April as a fun little date and it was the best experience! The staff are lovely and the cats are so friendly and eager to play!! We left with the biggest smiles on our face and have recommended the cafe to so many of our friends!

This is my third time visiting this place. The workers there are very nice. Its very relaxing to visit and sit in with the cats. They have cat related board games that are available to play as well as products that they sell to help pay for their expenses. All the cats there are also adoptable which is great if youre looking to possibly adopt one.

Food is secondary although the great Cafe next door has wonderful treats! The cats are front and center and very much worth your time. Both times we visited, the cats were playful and exciting to be around, happy to have company and enjoying playing with us! The staff are welcoming and competent, you cannot go wrong with meow parlour. I wish more of these cats could be adopted!

I visited this cafe and absolutely loved it! I adopted my precious baby Maui from this cafe on New Year’s Eve. The staff was very responsive despite the busy holiday season and kept the cafe very clean when I visited too! It’s very calming and serene. I’ve been to another cafe in Brooklyn where there were lots of children running around and it was quite uncomfortable. Here, there’s a great flow of visitors so the cats aren’t overstimulated and are often eager to see guests! One little kitten greeted me at the door when I came to pick up Maui :)I will always direct my friends here if they’d like to get acquainted with some cuties. I hope to visit again soon when I need a place to relax!

My husband and I have been to several different cat cafes in different cities, and this is among the best ones weve been to. We brought our one year-old to the special childrens visiting time they have weekly, and since there are fewer people allowed in during these sessions it was perfect for her. The cats are adorable, very playful, and clearly well-cared for and loved. The staff we interacted with were lovely and very kind/patient with our kiddo. Lots of great cat-themed merchandise for sale, too. I only wish the sessions were longer so we could have spent more time with the kitties.

It’s an amazing place to meet adoptable cats/kittens. Staff are very friendly. You can tell they truly love every single cats in the cafe and they want nothing but to find the best home for them. Had such a great time here! You can tell the cats are very well taken care of and loved by the staff. Anyone unhappy with their experience likely expected to do whatever they wanted with the animals, but the staff have rules in place to keep the cats and humans safe which is important for everyone. Definitely recommend for some animal therapy!

Meow Parlour is the best cat cafe out of the dozens I’ve been to in and outside of New York. It is very well-kept, clean and has the most helpful, friendliest staff! They also have the cutest cats that are vetted through the foster network so that they can get to know each cat’s individual personalities. I adopted both of my furbabies from here and am eternally grateful to Meow Parlour for them. Their products on sale in store are also handmade with love and care - my cats love the bed. Make reservations ahead of time and visit if you’re in the area and want to chill with adorable kitties! 100% worth it.

But that’s the nature of caring well for living creatures!I adopted my cat Otis from here, and the process was clear, smooth, and the staff was kind. A small cat cafe but they treat their cats very well. Theres very strict rules regarding no young children and not picking up cats or disturbing sleeping cats, which is big issues in less well-managed cat cafes letting patrons overwhelm their cats socially. All the cats are also up for adoption which is a big plus.

My daughter and I spent time at Meow Parlour after we suddenly lost one of our kitties. The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was wonderfully cathartic for us. The coffee wasn’t bad, either! My 9-year old didn’t want to leave. I appreciate how Meow Parlour keeps the crowd small so we have a chance to get to know the resident cats and really play with them. Worth planning a trip!

Is there a better way to spend 50 minutes in the Lower East Side? Meow Parlour is filled with wonderful staff and even more wonderful cats/kittens. We’ve adopted two amazing little boys from Meow Parlour and couldn’t be happier. Even if you’re not looking to adopt, it’s a great way to play with some adorable little ones in a super clean and cozy space. Don’t forget to make a reservation online ahead of time. You’ll be glad you made the visit!

One of my favorite cat cafe’s in NY. Fortunately found parking right outside. The people here are very nice & friendly and the cafe looks clean and tidy. The cats look healthy and I appreciate the fact that they have a reservation system. So, that ensures the place is not overcrowded and you get ample time with the cats.

The macaron parlour also has a ton of vegan options :)in the past they had an event with the video game Stray which was so cool! Overall, this place is great & i would definitely recommend coming here.

I had a completely wonderful experience here. This place is a magical spot in NYC - adorable cats and kittens, all up for adoption. Everyone who visits has a smile on their face. The hour flew by, and I managed to leave without adopting anyone, which was much appreciated by my two cats (adopted through Meow Parlour’s foster program during Covid).

This is my second time coming to Meow Parlour and it’s still as enjoyable as the first! The cats are social, clean and adorable. I came here with my boyfriend and we had such a fun time. It’s also very close to Chinatown so it’s a great place to hang out!!

This place is prob the best cat cafe Ive been to. Staff is really welcoming and explains everything thoroughly. Ive been here twice and the cats change up a lot! Also had no idea they were affiliated with macaroon parlor!

A fun experience overall. My kids enjoyed playing with the kittens. Im not sure who was more tired after the hour of play. The location is aesthetically pleasing, but has a fairly strong cat odor.A few things to note.1) You arent allowed to pick up the cats.2) We had a slightly odd experience at arrival. We were there just before opening and joined a line of people waiting to come in. The staff member flipped the sign to open and but then just ignored us while we lingered for a while -- eventually someone asked what was happening.3) There were only about 5-6 cats, and about 10 people.

The sweetest place, sweetest kitties available for adoption, and the kindest staff. You can tell everyone genuinely wants to be here and do everything they can to make sure every cat is adopted to a loving family. My husband and I adopted our fur baby, Mister T, from Meow Parlour and we are so happy we did! We can’t imagine a life without our handsome tuxedo kitty.

I go to the Meow Parlour a couple of times a year. The cats are so cute and that hour with them helps alleviate any stress you might be carrying but more importantly it helps to socialize them so they are ready for their forever home. The staff are always friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have. I look forward to my next trip there.

I found the coffee here not the greatest, its alright. Good place to stop in if you have some time to waste before other arrangements. There is a bit of a funk smell as other reviewers mentioned but its not unbareable and they do keep place clean and try to cover it up with some spray.

I adopted a gorgeous senior cat from Meow Parlour and found the experience to be smooth, kind, and so friendly! The staff treat the cats’ well-being with the utmost importance. This includes limiting daily visitors to a reservation system so the kitties have a calm space in which to play, snooze, and make new friends. If you’re looking to adopt a buddy, or simply get some me(ow) time, visit Meow Parlor!

We went there as part of my daughters birthday celebration a few years back. Great facility. Amazing atmosphere and I love how it is totally catered to the comfort level of the cats, which is how it should be. I had an amazing time and so did my daughter. We would love to revisit this place one day soon!

Adorable kittens are here and they are waiting for your affection! The place is small but cozy and the kittens are playful (when they aren’t napping). It’s a wonderful place to just unwind and pet animals. There’s a place next door that sells pastries and the likes and it’s pretty decent as well.

I traveled from California to NYC for my birthday week and visiting Meowparlour was the one thing i looked forward to the most!The staff that works here are all so friendly and sweet and i fell in love with all the kitties😭 me and my bf were so tempted to adopt one but we didn’t want to put the kitty through the stress of traveling back to California with us.The entire place is so clean and cute and the kitties you can tell are very well taken care of. Anytime I’m in NYC i will be visiting meowparlour bc i love it that much 🤍Also fell in love with Zelda when we visited and the cutie orange boy that waiting at the front desk the entire time we were there. 10/10 recommend everyone visit if they’re ever in NYC.

Their cafe has vegan treats! I tried two vegan macarons, red velvet and chocolate. Delicious!!The cats were so lively and adorable. They loved playing and running around. We spent our allotted time playing with the cats using the toys like wands. The space is cozy and the cats seem to love it. A few of the cats were related so it was so fun to see mama interact with them. The black one named Sidekick was my favorite. The cats were all friendly too. Came with a friend last month and really enjoyed playing with all the cats! They have lots of toys for you to play with them, and there’s a nice mix of active players and cats who like watching + being pet. I feel like it was well worth the $, plus there’s a super cute little gift shop at the front

I have been to meow parlour twice now looking for a kitty to adopt and it was a great experience both times. the kitties are all mostly in one room and the number of visitors allowed in at any one time is limited, so you get a lot of contact. the website recommended an early appointment, when the kitties are liveliest, and at 11 am the kittens were very playful indeed! playing with several kittens at once? i call that heaven. the staff were also really nice and very helpful, answering all my questions about specific cats and the adoption process. this is a first-rate operation that deserves recognition for the excellent work they do rescuing and finding homes for cats and kittens.

The Meow Parlour is an incredibly special place to me. This place was here for me during a very rough time in my life, after a bad week I’d come here to see the cats and hang out for a while. The staff was always so kind and the cats were so sweet. I specifically fell in love with Party Potato- i was heartbroken when she was adopted but I am glad she gets to enjoy her forever home 🥺 there’s something about being a room full of cats that makes you feel like everything is going to be ok.

Helped me get my current cat when it was hard to adopt anywhere else. Very thorough, we did a zoom interview and they told us every little detail about the kitten we were adopting and made recommendations based on the foster home. Other adoption services always kept me in the dark with things such as health records, so this was nice to see.

Visited multiple times and never had any problems - if you arrive late theyll still try to accommodate you, reservations are easy to make, and very simple rules to follow. Love seeing the new cats each visit as well!

The cats are sooooo cute the cats there are close to people. If you make an appointment online, it will be $6 per 30mins. Without appointment it will be ummm...$6.15 or $6.50 I forget lol.

Maybe I was expecting too much from a cat cafe since this was my first time visiting one, but I definitely wasnt impressed. The place reeked of cat feces. I understand there are multiple litter boxes in the area, which is perfect for all the cats, but it smells like they could be changed more frequently. Especially if its supposed to be a cafe setting where people are enjoying snacks. The menu didnt sound too exciting and was ordered from an actual cafe next door. The staff are great with attempting to keep the place sanitized for the cats in regards to controlling what comes in. Shoes are removed and youre provided with slip on one time use booties if youd like. Everyone must sign a waiver and sanitize their hands before going inside. There is a small rack up front to hang your belongings. There is 1 unisex bathroom. Overall, this place would be okay if youre looking to adopt a cat and check out their personality with other cats. Otherwise, definitely not worth the cafe portion or anything else really. I was ready to leave way before my 30 minutes was up, but I stood there because that was the minimum time you could pay for.

Truly a paradise, where the kitties rule the roost and are treated with the utmost compassion and respect. I love that the cats are up for adoption, and their individual needs are taken into account when humans come in, it’s never crowded or overwhelming for them. I cannot recommend this place enough!!I had been looking for a kitten companion for my cat Ralph, who lost his littermate this past July, and this place came highly recommended to me by a friend at the Village Vet who partners with Meow Parlour. (Village Vet is also great, by the way!) I went in twice for appointments to play with and meet the cats, and I was so impressed by how clean and peaceful the entire place was. Theres medium/small number of cats in there at any given time (maybe 10?) and they are clearly very well cared for. And all the folks who work there are lovely, extremely helpful, and clearly care so much for these animals. Everyone was great but the two folks we spoke with most were Alice and José. Lovely people! My husband and I ended up bringing home a sweet snuggly little kitten yesterday, and we are in love. We are so grateful to the Meow Parlour!!

Always on my itinerary every time I visit from CA! Was even lucky enough to snag a last resy spot end of day on a Saturday when I wanted go squeeze in time during my last trip out! Whether you’re a local or from out of town, plan ahead and book that time to relax and unwind with the cutest sweetest friends!

They say dogs have owners, cats have staff: well, these cats have ACTUAL staff who clearly respect and care very much about keeping their residents happy, not to mention setting them up to go to excellent forever homes. This is a relaxed, clean, happy space for those who need some kitty love and caffeine. Highly recommend!

I adore this café and I recently adopted two lovely kittens from here. The employees are well informed and care for the cats very much. Their bakery is amazing too, they make the pasteries and other baked good from scratch and you can tell by the quality. Though I have my kittens, I will come back once in a while.

This was a really fun place to come while we’re on vacation and missing our cats! All of the kitties at this place are available to adopt. The space is large and open with plenty of things for the cats to play with as well as to hide in if they wanted to. We didn’t have any food or drinks but they are available.

I have visited Meow Parlor with my friend twice and it’s always a great time! The staff is so sweet and omg the kittens and cats are so sweet and well taken care Off. I highly recommended! And please make a reservation prior visiting the place.

I went here simply because I wanted to play with them. And I certainly did!!! I don’t have many friends with cats, and we are not interested in taking full responsibility for them.But this place will fulfill any urges to play with them. If you are looking to adopt, they do that here too.I wouldn’t come for any cafe items although the macarons were good. Those came from their sister bakery store next door. They are not really a cafe—it’s more like a place to adopt or play with cats, with a cafe/macaron shop next door.You should book in advance as they have a limited number of people who can come in, which is great. There is a fee to be here.

I love this place, always recommend, got my beautiful cats there and I think, even if you cant commit to a cat you can always have a great time hanging out with them.Its great that you can make a reservation so it doesnt get crazy!

Visited Meow Parlour with a friend and ended up adopting my first cat. It was such a great experience and great way to meet your future cat! Plus you can get a snack while you spend time with the cats!

A great way to destress! I’ve been to Koneko but I like this place better. The staff is so friendly and helpful - their priority is keeping the cats/kittens happy and healthy which is great. We arrived 30 min late to our reservation because of traffic and the staff was nice and let us stay an extra 10-15 min past everyone else so we could get adequate time with the cats. The cats are just adorable and look so happy and healthy. When I went they just had an influx of kittens so I’m sure that helped! Highly recommend.

Not many cats were awake during the visit and these did were not very responsive. Lovely as those kittens were, price was a little high compared to such experience.

About $17 for 50 min per person. I recommend reserve ahead online. The cats are all very adorable.

The best place in the world! Make sure to make a reservation, and you’re all set for quality time with the cutest cats. Lots of nice stickers, pins, etc and merch available also! A must have in NYC

If you love cats, this is your place. The place is clean with lots of cats you can play with using the toys provided. Would definitely recommend if you want to spend time with friendly cats in the city!

Cute cats! Very friendly and playful. Nice atmosphere and good drinks and macaroons from next door.If youre of a larger size, wear slip on shoes. You will need to remove them and the place is very small

I love this place, and I visit every time Im in the city. The staff is friendly, the trinkets they sell are cute, and the cafe functions separately from the cat room, so if you just want to stop in the cafe for a snack, you can. Youll usually be with a few other people depending on the time of day, and there are lots of toys to play with the cats. If you love cats, definitely check this place out and support this great organization.

We actually never got to go in and play with the kitties but it looked really really nice in there! They had some super playful kittens that I wish we could have played with but alas, we came too late! Next time Im in NYC, Im definitely making an appointment!!

Great experience. Brought my wife here on a weekend trip. Great way to decompress from walking around NYC. Very professional, very clean place, good variety of snacks. They have a variety of seats (benches on the wall, high-top chairs, pillows on the floor). Also kitty toys, puzzles, games, cat books, etc. I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment and visiting.

The kitties are super adorable and comfortable around people. You are there to amuse them as much as they are there to be cute. We were lucky that the kitties found us interesting.

Jose and the whole team there is great! They are very knowledgeable. I would recommend fostering and adopting from there. They care about the cats and the people. They want to make sure it was a good fit for the cats and their owners.Edit: We love our cat that we got from Meow Parlour. Shes healthy a year later with no health issues.
