Dr. Cynthia Slosser and Team were so gentle and caring towards my kitten, Billie. This was Billies first time at the vet. She kissed the staff members also (well, atleast before she got her shot). Even I dont like getting shots. Anyways, I would gladly recommend this place to anyone. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. The Vet that saw my partner’s cat was thorough with the checkup. The wait time was very quick and I was like in and out of the office.
The service itself was great and both the vet and the vet assistances were great! however i was charged $50 for 14caps of gabapentin 100mg (generic). i understand that vets charge more and that vets are businesses that need to make money too, but after some reasearch i see that most other places are charging $3-10 for 30-90caps of the generic 100mg brand. am i missing something here, why the large gap? thats a price difference of 3.57 per capsule here vs ~0.18cent at petco or chewy. maybe i should have gotten a prescription & filled it myself. better price transparency/offering a perscription instead would have been helpful. sucks because although i dont have the money i still wanna make sure my pets arent in pain so i paid for it without thinking :/
Took my dog there for first time today service was great and prices were way cheaper then my other vet will definitely be returning
Took my 8 week old kittens today for their 1st visit and all I can say is I know my babies are in great hands for the long run. What stick out to me was the fact that they gave them their 1at dose of medication before they left today and that made me feel very secure. My 8 yr old cat Timmy recently passed away 6/22/20 at another hospital & I must say that I regret not finding this place sooner 💞
We’re originally from Texas and used VCA down there so wanted to continue with them in NYC. We love MVG tons and have been bringing our two pups here for 3 years now! The service and staff are amazing and they helped out a ton when our pup got lose from his dog walker and ended up breaking a few bones in his paw. They took us in whenever they could last minute for cast changes and checkups. Highly recommend them for new pups or older ones and everything in between☺️
UPDATE: Second review: I was having some payment issues going on, and Miriam from the front desk staff helped me all the way through. I really appreciate it! Professional service! This is my second time here. You cant ask for anything better! Definitely amazing service. Thank you Miriam and staff!First review: Beautiful place also very professional staff. First time in there and I love how thorough and detailed they were with my kitten baby. I had a bad experience with another clinic, where it caused my eldest cat to pass away. So I walked in very weary, but this place was so good and professional and this place gave me the confidence again. Thank you!
Front desk staff is amazing! Super patient, compassionate, and proactive. Have had great follow ups/routine vaccinations since kittenhood to age 5.Dislike it, but would not recommend for dental care. Cat was examined and scheduled to remove 2 abscessed teeth and I got a call afterward that 7 were removed, they just fell out during cleaning. It was pretty shocking. Its been 4 months and cat is still not adapting well to losing 1/3 of his chomping power/figuring out food, new GI issues, etc. Checked off all the forms that said notify before removing more than 2. Infection followed 2 days later, as cat was not sent home with antibiotics. It is difficult to open a squirmy cats mouth to diagnose, but would have appreciated more dietary guideline support after the fact, as our cat lost 4 pounds postop. Also the adherence to what was outlined on the consent form.
They loved my cat. Uriel was well treated
Staff is very friendly and kind!!!Very happy with their services!!!
Make sure to verify what procedures your pet is supposed to get before entering the room. Also make sure you read EVERYTHING before you sign so they don’t charge for procedures they were never supposed to preform.
I took my recently-adopted cat to a physical exam today. The center has been quite responsive, and booking an appointment was really easy. During the COVID-19 period, they normally asked you to wait outside until the checkup is finished. But the procedure was quicker than expected so it was not an overwhelming wait at all. Dr. Charles Garneau-So examined my cat very effectively, called me during the visit to explain my cats condition, and texted me notes that help me take further good care. This was my first time taking my pet to a vet, and Manhattan Veterinary Group made this supposedly-stressful experience quite manageable. Thank you ♡
Dr. Cynthia Slosser is the best! She is professional and compassionate. Brought in two cats for check-ups and dental cleanings and everyone is happy! They have great hours and the office staff is amazing. Highly recommend them for all your pets needs.
The staff is friendly and effective. The Doctor was friendly and explained everything to me regarding my new puppy. This was my 2nd visit and we were in and out quickly. I recommend this place highly.
Seems like a scam. Took my dog to get his ear checked they charged me twice for the same medication which didn’t work, ($60 each) then proceeded to charge me an additional $120 for another examination afterwards. MAKES NO SENSE. Desk supervisor Mauriam was tried to help but said she was shut down by the Vet who charges the $120! Looking for another vet now! GOOD LUCK
This Veterinary Group is fantastic. I adopted a cat from NYC Animal Care and Control. As part of the adoption, a free exam from this Group is included. My cat had the sniffles and I was able to get an appointment right away. The Vet was a kind woman who loves pets. She treated my love bug like family. They are my go to Vet from now on.
This is an excellent Vet. I have to truly give them credit for extending my car’s life 9-10 months by properly diagnosing her with Lymphoma and getting her on medicine which you could wipe on the ear (my cat would spit out pills). Overall I’ve had great experience with all of the veterinarians and techs there. Yes, they are definitely more expensive than other vets but I do appreciate how they work with you and tell you if something is not completely necessary. Only hassle about this place is that if you have to drive, beware, there is zero parking around here and you’ll have to go to a garage, at least when you are going there in the evening.
I would absolutely not recommend this vet practice. My dog used to be comfortable going to the vet and being handled but over time, as a result of the vets limited patience for my sensitive dog and coercive methods, including having multiple people physically restraining him while he was very clearly way over threshold and in severe distress, he developed a deep fear of the vet. The lack of compassion shown both to my dog and to me was upsetting. Unfortunately, this experience has required a LOT of work with a certified fear free vet and R+ trainer to undo the extreme distress he now experiences at the vet.
I usually have a great experience here, but today was awful. I brought my 24 lb mini goldendoodle in to get checked out due to itching her back leg. The vet nurse came to get us from the waiting area and Rosie simply barked at her because she hates the vet and was anxious (like most dogs?). Instead of making any attempts to say hello or demonstrate understanding that most pups do not enjoy the vet, she yelled “IS SHE ON DRUGS?!” I asked her to clarify and she said “So she isn’t violent”. I said “Violent? She’s just nervous, but she takes her trazodone in the morning for minor anxiety”. They took us back and this nurse, named Jen, stood back and asked what was wrong with her leg. I explained the itching and said Rosie won’t let me touch it. She then said “Well I doubt we’re going to have much luck in that area either”, very aggressively. She kept saying to the other nurse to “stand back”, all while Rosie was just minorly barking, not growling, not showing teeth, not lunging. I finally just said “she’s just nervous, she is not going to hurt anyone…she never has” and the nurse yelled “We have records stating otherwise”. Huh? My dog has never ever been violent toward anyone, which I explained, and stated that once a cone was on her she’d stop barking. She did this in front of another nurse as well. She went to get the Doctor and once the doctor came in, cone was on, exam performed just fine with no issues at all. Doctor was great. Nurse with pink hair was great. But the nurse, again named Jen, was awful, and 1000x more aggressive than my harmless pup. I expressed my concern, almost in tears, and the nurse with pink hair took over after I said I did not want Jen to touch my dog. Very disappointed in this interaction. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and needlessly dramatic and just unnecessary. I’m sure many dogs bark when they go to the vet, and I highly doubt Rosie’s chart says she is violent, despite Jen’s statement (I checked - it doesn’t). It was an awful experience and had the doctor and other nurse not been wonderful, I would have walked out before anyone touched my dog and would have not returned.
I came here after adopting our Male cat from the ASPCA. I came here with a packet of questions I came up with. The first visit was quick for my cat, yet the vet took my packet of questions. The vet emailed me back with all the answers to my questions some were related or two part questions. Everything was answered! This is the most affordable Vet in Manhattan including the meds and yet the care is HIGH QUALITY! They are open 7 days a week and 2 hours after a 9-5work day making it accessible without negatively affecting my income. PLEASE BRING YOUR beloved furry family members here.
We have enjoyed the professional, caring and friendly service at VCA. Special recognition for Maria and her team of Monica and Elaine. We highly recommend this practice.
Professional staff, appointments are on time always, and you can see they are truly invested in your pet and care for them as much as you do. I would recommend this place to anybody.
I had a wonderful experience at Manhattan Veterinary Group on East 80th Street in NY. I really liked Dr. Slosser who saw my dog. Her level of expertise was exceptional and her concern for my pet impressed me. She was very patient and listened to every issue I presented to her. I would definitely recommend her for your pet.👍
I had the most wonderful experience and my cat got the best treatment here. Beth and Jenn were extremely kind, thoughtful, and professional -- and Im particularly grateful to them for staying late on a Sunday during Memorial Day weekend to care for my cat (and me!). Likewise, Dr. Kamal was extraordinarily wonderful, answering all of my many questions, giving my cat incredible attention. I cannot recommend this place -- and these wonderful people -- highly enough.
I love this place. All staff are very kind and helpful. Any issue with my two cats, I can trust them with close eyes. Thank you so much for all the love and care you gave to my pets. You are the best
I took my cat here thinking she was pregnant and I am very glad I did. The doctors were very thorough and recommended I get her an ultrasound which was able to tell us she wasnt pregnant after all, but had pyometra, something I never would have expected. I am so happy they were able to spot it in time. They scheduled her for surgery right away and answered all of my questions about what next steps I should take and were very informative. I was given a very good price and adviced about their Care Club which covered her surgery as well as the vaccinations and made the process a lot more affordable. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable and made an anxious situation so much easier. I would highly recommend bringing pets here because they not only make sure your pet gets the best care but they make sure you get a good price for that care.
They denied treatment to my dog and then they canceled the care plan without any notice. These people are terrible. Dont recommend this practice. They refused my dog to be treated. My dog had left a few services such as dental cleaning which WAS NEVER provided to him. The only vet that was truly doing his job and treated myself and my pet well was Dr Charles. Everyone else don’t care about anyone.
Great vet place! We took our cat here because she had a cloudy eye and the vet was very helpful in reassuring us that shed be fine, and even going above and beyond by checking out other symptoms on other parts of our cat.The house cat was a sweetie, and the tall nurse with the dreadlocks (forgot his name) was super sweet to our cat. 10/10 would come here again, but hopefully our cat is healthy enough to not need to!
They were incredibly thorough and had great communication even during COVID when all the interactions were happening outside the building. Everyone was super friendly and really took the time to talk to and explain things to me. The office is a decent trek away from my home, but it is 100% worth it to go to people I know I can trust with my puppy. For NYC, their prices are pretty fair, Id say and my little girl wasnt too traumatized, which I say is a total win for a puppy getting needles poked into her and fingers poking in her ears to clean them
So thankful for Manhattan Veterinary Group!!! I’ve been bringing my frenchie here since he was a baby and could not have had a better experience. No matter what I need, even if it’s just some reassurance that everything is ok with my pup, they are there for me. Whenever I bring him they greet him with a smile and everyone comes over and says hello. They have been there for me for the simple vaccines and some scary allergic reactions. Dr Rizzo is incredible!!
I love Manhattan Veterinary Goup! Theyve been very helpful in getting appointments at short notice and I feel like they really care about my cat. Dr. Kamal follows up with lab results via text with a breakdown of anything outside of normal range. I would definitely recommend taking pets to this location; theyre great.
I made my first visit today for my cat and the experience was wonderful. The doctor communicated extremely well over the phone and answered all questions eagerly. The staff was also very prompt and gentle. I will definitely come here for future visits.
I brought my dog in for a recurring UTI. My dog is still having issues but I loved the service at Manhattan Veterinary group. I saw Dr. Rizzo and she was delightful. Very easy to talk to and her veterinary techs were very helpful as well. They have great hours for people who work a 9-5 and even have weekend availability which is always great.
Omg! This place is amazing!!! My 4 week old puppy Landon was sick, I called them and with in 10 min they had set up my chart and appointment for the very next day!!! Once I got there they were super sweet and got him seen at his appointment time swiftly! Once I got home the doctor made sure to call me and address all my concerns! This was the first time I had been there but this will definitely b my vet going forward 5+!!!!Thanks ladies
The Manhattan Veterinary Group is excellent for all your pets needs. The staff is great make you feel comfortable and your pet is in great hands. The doctors are great funny and make you feel safe and secure that your dog is in good hands. They offer great plans for your dogs medical needs at reasonable prices and monthly payments. I highly recommended.
Manhattan Veterinary Group is wonderful! The staff is very friendly and the doctor I see, Dr. Thomasch, is so kind. She is always excited to see my cat and is willing to answer any questions I have. Very personable and makes the entire process so easy. Highly recommend!
The care that our very sick chihuahua received there was amazing. Dr. Kenneth Nicolson took so much time with us and even called after we got home to check up on her. Technicians Maureen and Jennifer were terrific - Maureen even taught me how to get pills down a not very cooperative dog! We received excellent care and compassion.
Very professional and respectful. The Veterinarian took time out straight from lunch to speak to me about any concerns I had for my feline. Im also grateful they understand my budget and stayed within it when it came to the best care moving forward.
I have no real issue with the care provided, but the cost is absolutely insane at this place, and I don’t think they care to help anyone out from a cost standpoint. My dog was due for an annual wellness visit and also happened to be scratching this week so I called an made an appointment for the wellness and to have the vet look at the rash. Since it’s curbside right now, you can’t go in and they don’t give paper invoices. Well I get home, and find out on his invoice that they charged me for a medical exam consult and listed that he is due for a wellness visit.... you all are medical professionals, can you not use common sense and do a wellness as well as look at a rash (which was nothing)?? And also I asked if my dog could receive his annual vaccines, and they said sure he’s due for this, this and this. Looked at my invoice and he’s due for 3 more in a week. Ok, I know it’s not so nice to give all vaccines at once, but my goodness could they have not mentioned the other three being due?! I mean I’m out $500 for 3 vaccines. Absolutely insane. And now I’m gonna have to pay another $500 for a “wellness” exam and the rest of his vaccines. Take your hard earned money elsewhere!
A wonderful vet, so caring and attentive to my cat. This vet is going to be where we take all our animals in the future. They were professional, thorough, and were able to answer all my questions with expert knowledge.
Dr. Ken Nicholson is about the best, most thorough vets I have ever used for my 2 terriers. He is a great diagnostician, takes his time examining Cosmo and Tally and always calls back to check on their condition. For outstanding veterinary care, there is none better. As a side note, the other vets in the practice on E. 80th. St are completely competent and deserve recognition. I feel comfortable using any of them.
The doctors and assistants are amazing with the pets!! I love my cats doctor, he is super competent, thorough, and amazing with him.I did have one problem there with waiting time - and one woman said I had to keep the cat inside his travelling bag (which he hates) and forced him into the bag :(
So grateful for the care they have provided my cat Sasha and dog. A year ago my cat was diagnosed with a rare disease and I’m so appreciative for the advise and support during the process of curing her. One year later and she’s healthy and happy. Thank you doctor Kamal and team.
Since google doesn’t allow me to reply to the review feedback the business gave to my review (see below) I am going to write my reply here. No, you did not say it is “recommended” to get sedation. You said “it is required by state law of NY” and I am not lying.I take lying very seriously too, as I am a patient care provider myself, and I will not let this go easily. I am fully aware of the amount of malpractice going on in that office!I am a Doctor writing this review and I can genuinely say that the worst Vet I have ever taken my poor yorkie to was in this office>>>>> Dr. Kamal
The service was outstanding Dr. thomache was amazing, front desk receptionist was also amazing. Every single person in the facility was amazing. The doctor and the assistant heard all my concerns and immediately went to work to make my puppy feel better. I highly recommend them and the prices were affordable.
Manhattan Vet Group diagnosed my cat with a parasite and provided a prescription of Albom but even though there’s $137.50 left on my certificate, they won’t let me use it to pay for a follow up fecal analysis.I am happy that my cat is better b/c of the Diagnosis and medication. The parasite is all cleared up and she no longer throws up her food after every meal. Manhattan Vet Group also administered my cats annual blood exam, which went well. So, I feel this vet group has been good and helpful so far. I will have her teeth cleaned here in January 2020.
Caring and knowledgeable vets! All NYC vets are not cheap, but my pup and I are always in and out & all staff of very friendly. They even text to check in on my pup and seem to genuinely care!
Amazing staff, Amazing Service, and top tier facilities and equipment. They were extremely helpful and even gave me a generous amount of free samples of pet food to try out that could help alleviate his issues. They were courteous and prompt with service and made me and my cat feel like the only patients being seen.
This Vet is absolutely worth going to. The attention given to my dog was outstanding and prices were affordable. I am so happy I brought my dog here. They prescribed medicine for our dog and overnight, he has been doing way better than before. Thank you to Dr. Ken and all of the staff there.
Went to see this group today to establish my two cats with a new vet. The entire staff and the vet were super nice and helpful! I definitely felt like my kitties were in good hands and I intend on returning in the future for all of my cats needs!
We brought our new rescue dog Annie in today and had an overall fantastic experience. While we werent sure initially about the COVID-19 practices, we knew when we dropped Annie off that she was in great hands. Ursula, who helped us out, was friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful, and very very good with Annie. The doctor we spoke with was very kind and thorough as well. We left with a clear understanding of how to take care of Annie moving forward, and feeling happy and safe knowing that Annies health is in the hands of these fine people. She was not even fussy or grumpy about the exam afterwards, which was high praise indeed. 5 stars all around.
It was a little hectic when I arrived there as they had apparently just accidentally killed someones dog under anesthesia....I waited outside while they took my cat in and the doctor called me before and after the exam. I left feeling like my issue wasnt really resolved, but was given a few options. The vet texted me the next day to follow up which was nice. Well see how she does on the medications.
Took my pup in for his FREE first check up today and they were absolutely excellent. Checked him all over, answered my questions, gave me loads of great advice and even gave him a free heartworm + flea/tick treatment. If youve just got a pup and want some piece of mind that theyre healthy then this free first visit is a no-brainer.
Although curbside pick up and drop off (PANDEMIC) same wonderful care and the same wonderful staff! My baby was in completely great hands! I will never stop coming here.
From Tiffany in the front to the techs and doctors in the back, you feel instantly that these are people who love pets and enjoy what they do. I felt very comfortable leaving the health of my beloved Sammy cat in their care. Highly recommend.
Can’t imagine anyone giving this place a good review - we’ve been using them for 2 months for a young puppy and have consistently seen vets taking 2 days on average to call back after I leave a message saying our dog is very sick (and completely forgetting to call with test / analysis results until you call them first). The front desk staff are pleasant, Dr. Rizzo was awesome stepping in when the vet we used suddenly left the practice (Rizzo is the only reason this isn’t 1 star), but absolutely stay away from Dr. Kamal - no bedside manner, will never call back when you leave a message (will leave it for another vet to call you back days later), always rushing you out the door. Care too much about my dog to come back to this place.
Ladies at the Front Desk we’re so nice. I brought my cat here for a check up, and when we came back home her eye was swollen and inflamed. I called the office and they told me to come back, and so I did. They have my cat some Benadryl and apologized for the inconvenience. The doctor I had first seen had brought another doctor in with him, kind of like a student and teacher relationship.
Great experience and didnt wait long at all. Doctor was informative, thorough, but also efficient. We also didnt wait long for the results of our dogs tests - got them the next day!
BUYER BEWARE -- TAKE YOUR PETS ELSEWHERE. This used to be a good place under Dr. G. Now with new employees it is foul. I had an appt the other day for my dog to review ultrasound -- the vet was Dr. Carlyn Zylstra -- paid for exam -- NOT DONE, sent ultrasound for review and clarification -- when I asked if she saw it she laughted and said yes, the dog has 2nd stage kidney disease cleaned a cyst with saline and changed me $82 extra -- (this was refunded after I complained) .I went in for clarification of the ultrasound, I went in for an exam which after 45 years of having dogs know you do not pay $130 for walking in -- not even a quick check though after talking with office manager, I think her name is Monica, whos is rude, abrasive, yells and speaks over you--obviously unstable, it seems they altered the original paperwork after my voicemail message that they did NOT answer a week ago re: no exam done.Besides the ultrasound clarification I wanted my dogs blood pressure taken (which a qualified vet would know had to be done) two oversized assistants came in and proceeded to pin my 14-1/2 year old 17 lb. westie on the table because she was shaking --in spite of my pleas they would not stop -- for all of the above and more I am taking action against all involved to the appropriate agencies, including a possible reporting to reclaim my money taken for the animal abuse and ignorance of their staff on all levels.
Everyone was nice from the receptionist on the phone and in person to the nurses and doctors. They took good care of my kittens and answered all my questions. I did find it pricey but Ive never visited other veterinarians in Manhattan so it might not actually be.
VCAs Animal Hospital Manhattan branch was beyond compassionate they allowed me to stay hours on end with Nefertiti as she received her circulatory heat therapy and various treatments along with other perks. Despite they had mixed reviews it mustve been the negativity of the pet owners! When I saw how the whole staff treated my baby I was literally in more tears...she is home with me now and Im hoping for the best! Thanks for everyone that understands the seriousness of having a connection with a pet and checked. I would highly recommend VCA Animal Hospitals!
Went with my Dog ace for a check up. They are very nice and informative. Highly recommend.
The vet and vet techs were very kind and understanding of my cat’s health and made me feel welcome in a nice environment. Short wait, nice staff, will be seeing them again. :^)
Great experience. Have been bringing my pups since they were young.
I have been with MVG for 30 years. They are great every pet I have had they have been there VET.
Our dog injured her foot on a holiday weekend. no other vet office was so we went to vca. not only were they friendly, nice and welcoming -- they were able to see our dog on a holiday weekend, saving us the huge cost of going to a 24-hr emergency care place. they were willing to stay open late to see us or open early the next morning for us if we couldnt wait. i havent had that kind of service with my own doctor! nothing but outstanding service. they vet was wonderful. the staff gave us a discount -- even though we didnt know about the coupon on their website, they helped us out. the office was clean. the vet was well informed and went above and beyond to help our dog. prices were reasonable. the office is part of VCA which is nationwide. we used VCA in LA too and had nothing but the best experience and service
I had a terrible experience with this place as their communication skills between the front desk and veterinarians are lacking. Plus on top of this they didn’t even give water to my dogs, who came home and drinker the whole bowl. They tried fixing the issue they caused by giving me a small discount, but at the end they charged me the full amount... I had to go back and remind them about the discount and instead of an apology, I was given attitude.
I recently lost my beloved English Bulldog Penelope, and after all the $$$ I spent I wasnt about to pass up a free vet visit to the MVG when I rescued Tulip from the ACC. I didnt expect much from a free visit in the way of time, diligence or competence; I was just looking to get antibiotics for what I suspected was kennel cough. I am so pleased to have had an appointment with Dr. Ann Halle Thomasch. She was thorough, empathetic, and knowledgable. Most importantly she took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I was not rushed out and I wasnt upsold for erroneous tests. Tulip and I will definitely be going back. I was also pleased to learn that Dr. Thomasch has experience with female dogs who have given birth, as Tulip was most likely used as a breeding machine and dumped at the shelter, still lactating. A lot of vets in the area never deal with animals who arent spayed and have no idea what to look for in regards to postnatal care.
It has been a year since I bring my kitty here. The vets are very nice and they do care about every pet. They even have an IG to post pictures of your pet with your consent.
If you value the well-being and health of your animal, do not take them here. I brought my cat in to see Dr. Loomis with clear signs of kidney disease complications. I even had her records from her last vet faxed over days before that described how she had been having kidney issues for years. Dr. Loomis spent about 5 minutes looking at my cat before declaring she just had a tooth infection and had the tech take her in the back for blood work (even though she had the blood work from only 2 weeks prior in her hand) and some medicine. The medicine, I later found out, was just a half tablet of Pepcid, something you can get 60 servings for $15 at any Duane Reade, but she charged me $80 for 1 serving. But, ultimately, the price gouging was not the main issue. A simple Google search will tell you this medicine is HIGHLY dangerous for cats with chronic kidney disease...something I didnt think to do until it was too late. Less than two weeks later I was forced to rush my kitty to an emergency clinic where it was discovered that, due to the medicine Dr. Loomis had given, my cats kidneys had completely failed and she was in extreme pain. I had to put my baby down much sooner than I would have if I hadnt taken her here. It cost me $400 for negligent care that tortured and ultimately killed my cat.
Most unprofessional, From the lady at the front desk front desk to both doctors! Always Flustered, uncaring no follow calls. My puppy was spayed , looks like a 3rd grader did the stitches. Super long incision approximately 5 inchs of Jaggery stitches.Go to a different veterinarian Group, do not buy their package.
Great services. My dog had skin allergies for a long time and the Veterinarian here was able to isolate the cause and treat it quite effectively. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable.
The doctors, techs and staff here are great. Two months ago I brought my beloved Sebastian in on an emergency basis, gasping for breath and hardly able to stand. After testing it turned out he has a severe heart condition. He spent the afternoon in an oxygen cage and received wonderful care that afternoon. In the evening, I brought a partially recovered Sebastian home with me. SInce then he has been put on a cocktail of heart meds and the pup who could barely walk is back to his bouncy, mischievous self. Sebastian is fourteen and a half and I know what will happen inevitably but now his quality of life great and I am thankful for every great day he has.
I have seen several of the Vets at this practice. I started bringing my little baby there for about years since I moved uptown. I have confidence in them, and they have always taken care of him well. Also very friendly staff.
Definitely get Dr Nicholson! Boomi was booked with Dr. Magda for the first exam. When I told her about my dogs smelly ears she wiped his ears and waved it off as dirt. She also made me come back the next week to get the rest of the shots, I suspect so Id get charged for another doing nothing exam that costs $100 dollars. When Boomi went back to the vet three weeks later he had scratched his ears so much there were two bald patches behind his ears. I told Dr Nicholson maybe its allergies and Im switching diets for Boomi, he said its actually an ear infection, took cultures to confirm and prescribed medication. Thanks to Dr Magda, Boomi suffered 3 weeks with an ear infection 😢. Sharing this as a cautionary tale, not all vets are the same.
The pressure was relieved from his eyes (glaucoma/cataracts). Pain medication every 12 hours, and eye drops, 2 drops every 8 hrs. Champ responded by turning to look in my direction when I called him. Thats a milestone in comparison to the last 2 weeks. Thx VCA!
Went here to take my cat Kiwi for a basic check up and everything went smooth and easy. Definitely recommend!!!
Great care for your pet, with Vets and staff who treat your pet with genuine concern & compassion!💗🐈⬛
I was so impressed with Dr. Loomis. She was very professional and genuinely kindhearted with my cat. She put me at ease and won me over as a client!
Attentive staff and super helpful doctors. they answer any questions I have, whether in person or email, and call following up to check up on my furbaby
I really like the receptionists that work there .. all the people are friendly and they always answer the phone the doctors explain everything nicely to you about your pet ...
This Place is amazing. The take good care of your pet and answer all your questions. I recommend this to everyone :)
Place is filthy, front desk is extremely rude, technician is weird, and vets are beyond incompetent. No one here even seems to like animals. Do yourself a favor and bring your pet somewhere else.
The staff is excellent and the veterinarians are amazing. Dr. Tomasch is fantastic and highly recommended to anyone looking for a vet.
Great 1st visit.... Happy so far.
It’s hard to find a vet that’s not a scam, wouldn’t start here.
Amazing service, great vets, so loving with my fur baby, thank you!!
I had to visit the clinic for an emergency, close to closing, one night, and, was seen promptly and professionally.
Hi, I was wondering if you had a service for lost cats? Or if some people when by you shop and have you one ? Thank you
I took my Guineapig there nice staff but not very knowledgeable, appointments are fast and easy
The service was excellent and all questions were answered.
They cared about my concerns and helped me so much. I felt good with my dogs care in their hands
Fast and efficient service. Not the most personable and pretty pricey but clearly very knowledgeable.
The staff are very professional, they listen, and theyre very helpful.
They were clean, friendly and they were efficient, The prices were good.
Best place they care for your pets and you can depend on them.🐶😺
Good friendly staff , Good doctors that care for your pets
Manhattan Vet has been a great experience every time weve gone in. Everyone is so attentive, kind, and caring. Weve seen many vets over the three years weve been here, and each one has been equally kind. Any questions or concerns we have are always addressed, and the exam process is always seamless! Couldnt recommend a vet group more.
Friendly and professional. They were very patient with me as I asked numerous questions to figure out all of the yearly medical needs of my pup. They were willing to explain everything in detail on the phone for 10-15 minutes. That shows me they’re passionate about their work and truly want to help. Thank you for the excellent service.
Everyone was very nice and accommodating. They cared for my cat with care and thats very important to me.
The staff there are very nice and kind to you and your Animal
It is clean and the staff is good. It is close to my apartment.
I have gone here a few times now ( 5 - 6 times) with my dog since she was a puppy and havent had many great experiences. For my most recent visit, the staff didnt explain any of the exams or vaccines my dog needed and acted bothered when I asked. They tried to upsell me on their membership (do the simple math - dont fall for it) and services I didnt want or need. We were in and out in less than 10 mins and charged $650. Well be going elsewere next time.
Small clinic with great vets, friendly staff, and reasonable fees.
Been going over 20 years… two cats and my new pup… all extremely well taken care ofLove these guys and extremely grateful to have them looking after my dog
All the staff was very friendly, the service is super professional. Definitely recommended
You know your pet is in good hands as soon as you arrive
Sugar Ray (my almost 13 year old Boxer) and I have been a patient of Manhattan Veterinary Group for the past few years. I full heartily trust and love everyone here. Dr. Thomasch is beyond amazing. Dr. Thomasch is compassionate, understanding, brilliant, knowledgeable and an outstanding doctor. I wouldn’t trust my fur baby anywhere else. Monica who works in the office is super friendly, very helpful and always willing to help. I thank you all for taking care of my baby today and every time we visit.
They are very welcoming and kind. They treated my dog great. I received a follow-up phone call from them to check on the progress he was making.
I have been taking our dogs there for years. Lovely staff, wonderful doctors.
Best place for my babies
Clean, nice, friendly. First visit was free I will be back.
I asked for sedation pricing before booking, and the receptionists response was literally: Maam do you wanna book an appointment or not, I dont have pricing, Im by myself and I have three people on hold. Um. No. No thank you. I was literally on the phone for 30 seconds. If I could give negative starts, I would. My baby needs care and all I wanted was a price before I brought her in. wow.
