The best pet groomer Ive been too thus far. Tommy and his staff is the best! He made my Bear look like a Show Dog. The rest of the staff is amazing & pleasant. The location was easy to find. Just be ready to wait the full three hours as they take their time to groom youre furry friend. Tommy took his time and hand cut my Bears hair.. Im definitely going back.

I had been taking my Australian shepherd there for years, but was so disappointed with my recent session because they shaved him. He asked me if I wanted to have it “cut short like last time” and I said yes but he has never been shaved by them. Not sure if his under coat will ever grow back but I should have asked for a refund.

Tommy and his great staff have been our grooming go to for decades. That’s because the quality of treatment for our dogs has never wavered and neither has the attention to details, requests and the individual needs of each dog under their care. From booking to pickup the caring staff here are professional, courteous and personable, and the haircuts aren’t too shabby either- they’re top notch, thanks to you guys!

I’ve taken my pup here a few times and he looks amazing every time I come to pick him up. They always seem to have a lot of clients so they tend to be very busy. Despite all of that, they do not cut any corners when completing his grooming session. To top it off, their prices are very affordable.

Our 8lb cockapoo got her first haircut here and it was so cute. The team here is great and really caring, it is clear that they love what they do. From booking the appointment to picking her up, the whole process was stress free

I love the Attention you receive from the time you walk in with you pet. My Zara loves getting g groomed. They listen to all your instructions that you give on what you want your pet to look like. My Zara smiles as she leaves. Thats my diva.

Tom one of the Best dog groomers in nyc ever.. super kind, understanding and nice. Fast service and does a phenomenal job. Plus the dogs come back smelling wonderful. Haircuts last about two to three months.

We had previously had a good experience with Doggy Stylez, and they had done a good job grooming our dog. Today, they switched the price without notifying us. I paid them and let them know I wouldnt be coming back due to their poor business practices. Afterwards, their employee (a large, bald man) appears to have been irrationally angered at losing future business and tried to prevent me from leaving by trying to steal my dog back from me. He violently yanked on my dogs leash. He then continued to hold on and ignored me telling him to let go. He terrified my dog as he violently jerked on his leash, and then tried to grab onto me as l rescued my dog from him. I finally managed to get him off of me and my dog and to get away.I called then texted the owner to let her know what had happened, and she hung up on me and tried to claim her employee didnt do anything wrong in assaulting me and blocked my phone number. Im still in disbelief that something like this happened and am very shaken up. Its even scarier that they took no accountability and (as far as I know) continue to employ this violent, rash individual.I never leave reviews, either good or bad, but I am truly concerned for the well-being of anyone who comes here.

My handsome boy is so scared of new people and Tom did such a good job with him. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the worst place ever. I don’t ever recommend anyone to go there. First they cut my dog badly that he had to get stitches, then they denied it and when they finally admitted they blamed it on the intern which doesn’t mean anything to me. They are rude, take entire day to do horrible job.

Not a single negative about this groomer. Everyone there is incredibly friendly, and our pup seems to think so as well. She seems sad to leave every time we pick up! Each time we take the pup here it seems like the haircut is better than the last time.

Tom is the sweetest, most professional and caring groomer I ever met. He always tries to accommodate everyone with all of our crazy requests as pet parents!! I was in the shop and saw some guy flip out over $5 - since his dog was in bad shape and it took the grooming staff longer to give him a proper cut. I get it, we all have our days - but Tom is always trying to help! He takes my maltipoo any time I call/walk in.!! My maltipoo LOVES HIM! His prices are fair and he always puts in a sincere effort to make my baby look clean and leave happy. WILL DEFINITELY CONTINUE COMING BACK HERE!!

My dog has been going to Doggy Stylez for nearly 3 years and we couldn’t be bigger fans! Becky, Tom, and the whole team are the kindest people and put so much love, care, and precision in to what they do! They also give very helpful advice on how to maintain my dog’s coat at home between grooms, and are extemely responsive over phone and text. The space is safe, clean, and fun - my dog tries to pull in to the shop every time we pass. We are so lucky to have found this place!!

My pup came back looking glamorous! My only comment is that it definitely isn’t cage free (or at least my dog was in a cage when I picked her up, which is no problem with me). It also seemed like too many pups in one room waiting to be groomed or picked up. Like I said, these aren’t issues for me as long as my dog is well looked after, which she was!

Been going here for a couple years and I love the work they do. They take cash and venmo, my only thing ide like is a cc machine maybe? Other than that they are nice, welcoming and caring. They work with all dog sizes and breeds too! If your looking for a great trim for your fur baby and a decent price on the UES, this is a good spot. Also there are plenty of doggy day care spots close by.

We found this please after we decided that PerSmart wasn’t the right fit for our dog.Luigi, is a mini labradoodle and they really take care of him here. Easy to make an appointment, super friendly place and they let the dogs play around while they wait to get a bath or get their hair cut. They allow treats and treat the dogs in an amazing way ♥️It’s been a while since we bring Luigi here and will keep coming back!

My dog was given the most remarkable haircut ever! She is unrecognizable. The staff here are kind, patient, professional, attentive, and outstanding groomers. The dogs are treated extremely well and they look even better. I feel like I have a show dog now from her dramatically improved haircut. Highly recommend!

Love this place! Owner personally cuts all dog himself, is super nice, and very knowledgeable on care of dogs when it comes to any grooming needs. My dog has been going here since he was a puppy and isn’t afraid of coming here to get groomed. Little pricey, but well worth it for how much you can trust the team to give your pup a great cut!

I love this place. They are excellent with cloud ( which is very hard to do because he is feisty and hard to manage when he doesn’t know you). This groomer displays patience with both the customer and the dog. You can really tell he cares about the dog because he gives you tips on what to do to get your dog used to grooming so that it’s easier the second and third time around. I appreciate everything that they do for cloud. Every single time Cloud comes out looking white, smelling good, and cut perfectly. This is Cloud’s permanent groomer. Oh I forgot to mention; prices are affordable!! BONUS!!!

I’ve brought my dog to Tom for several grooming visits and now we’ve started to bring my fathers and my sisters dogs to him as well. My sister has two nervous pit bulls. Most grooming shops rejected them and told her they didn’t want them that she should just bathe them at home. 😥 Tom and his staff were able to get them in the same day. The girl on the phone reassured us that we can come in later in the day when it’s not as busy so that the dogs will be done quickly and there will be less dogs and noise so they won’t be as nervous or anxious. Worked like a charm!! My sister says she wouldn’t take them anywhere else (she lives in Massachusetts) and would rather wait until she’s back in town than go elsewhere. My own dog has always been well taken care of by Tom and the doggy stylez team. Very reliable place.

I took my dog here for the first time since Covid hit and they did a great job with my dog. He had become a bit matted and they cleaned him up and shaved him to an appropriate level while still keeping him cute as ever. The staff was very friendly and pricing was reasonable given the extra work required for my dog’s matted hair. I will definitely go back!

Ive been taking my dog here for a couple of years and the groomer does an amazing job. Im always very happy when I come to pick up my dog. The groomer knows exactly what to do and how I like my dogs cut. I tend to love my dog really short and clean/manicured. I highly recommend this place. He is also very nice and treats my dog very well.

Dropped my 12 year old poodle off for most of the day. Tom and his staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They did a wonderful job as always, and listen to all my requests. She looks so cute after! The cost was $110 which is average for the area.

Be Mindful if you have a sensitive dog. As soon as you meet Tom you can tell that he is a really nice guy and he does really good grooming. However, after my dog left this place, he had a panic attack for a few good hours. I was finally able to calm him down after a very long walk and lots of love and petting and a few drops of Mimulus Tincture.My advice to this groomer would be to reduce the chaos in his shop a bit. Take on a fewer number of dogs at a time so that there is not too much chaos. The machine, noise and all the many dogs cramped into such a small space is enough to give even a human being a panic attack. I will say, take on less dogs so you have more time to spend with each one. Give each client a specific window of time where they MUST return and pick up their dogs to leave room for other new dogs.I will also advice to have lots of drinking water all around the floor for the dogs - my dog was so thirsty after we picked him up that he practically ran all the way home so he could drink.Other than that, the grooming itself was impeccable. The grooming on its own is 5 stars. Remember though, that it is we Humans who need the dogs groomed, NOT our dogs. They are pretty unaware of why they need to be groomed, so we should try and make the process as pleasant for them as possible.

Had been taking my Pomeranian to another place and then he was being aggressive this last visit and they wouldnt clip him. Guess new staff made him nervous? Took him to Doggy Stylez and had no issues. The groomer knew how to approach/handle him and did a great job. Definitely will use them next time!

Excellent place to take your fur baby. Tommy was so caring and did an amazing job on our Milo. If looking for quality and somewhere you feel like it’s family oriented search no more. We definitely wish we can give it more than 5 stars. Our Milo was so happy with his session he didn’t want to leave. Thanks Tommy and staff will be sending our friends and family.

I’ve been really happy grooming my dog here, which we’ve been doing regularly for the year we’ve been living in the neighborhood. However I’ve been really disappointed with his behavior during covid19 pandemic, in which he raised grooming prices to $140 an almost 30% increase. As a customer I won’t forget this and plan to take my dog elsewhere going forward. I don’t recommend taking your business to an owner that just raises prices by such a large percentage at a time when everyone is struggling.

This place is wonderful. My daughter recently found a beagle roaming the streets and took him in. The dog gets very anxious when left alone and has a hard time walking with a leash. The dog had an ear infection and allergies and was overweight and extremely stinky. She brought him to Doggy Stylez and they completely transformed him! He came out shiny and smelling clean. They took out all of the shedding and loose hair and cleaned his ears. They also recommended a ear cleaner which we purchased. All in all, we have found our go-to spot for this beagle. He is very happy to be there!!

I absolutely love this place! Tom is amazing! I brought Polly, a mini poodle and left her for the day. Can’t even express enough how positive and reassuring our experience was! Definitely coming back, and I live in west Harlem!

I bring my 5 pound Pekingese here. There so nice and caring about animals. At other groomers my dog comes home upset after this groomer he comes back happy! Love his hair cuts thank you for everything!

Always do an amazing job with our Welsh Terrier. Staff are friendly and always listen if I want something changed. We moved out of the area but we travel down because our dog is super comfortable there.

Tom was nice on the phone and gave me an appointment for the next day. He called to let me know my dog was ready for pick up then said “Oh by the way it’s $110 and the system is down so you have to pay cash. Didn’t I tell you?” No you didn’t and I’m not buying that BS. So not only did he do a mediocre job but on average he charged $25 more than most groomers in CASH. In these rough times, many folks rely on their credit cards and need their cash to survive until they go back to work. This man took full advantage of a situation. My Shih-Tzu mix rescue was in dire need of a grooming and I would have attempted to at least shampoo him myself had I known he required cash. Shame on you!!! Oh by the way, does the IRS know you’re charging cash?

We have a Bernese mountain dog, and he is quite a handful. The groomers at Doggy stylez were so professional and did such a great job! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a local dog groomer.

Tyson (my English Bulldog) has been going here for about the past two years and we couldnt be any happier. Tommy is great with the animals and we feel very comfortable dropping him off for the morning to be pampered. Tyson comes home looking like a show champ and always smells extra fresh! The cost is very reasonable for the UES as well.

There are better, friendlier, more affordable groomers on the UES.Answering service is rude (like theyre doing you a favor). Groomer is rude (until its time to pay). Business practices are shady--one price for cash, another price for credit card (when the credit card machine is even working). Is that even legal? Price to trim a 30-lb dog in 2021... $180 (credit card) / $170 (cash). If theyre going to treat their customers like this... when youre the one paying... how are they treating your pets when no ones watching?I get my dogs groomed about every six weeks. I was looking for a new groomer on the UES (because my previous groomer moved) -- DoggyStylez will NOT be that groomer.

First time going , they raised the price up because of how my dog behaved but cut him great. I do think they did something to my dog though because when we got home hes been acting funny running and sliding his bottom on the floor and also hiding places. Hes been acting very scared lately as well and this is the same day I took him here. I dont know what they did to him to make him have this strange behavior

Have been coming here since 2013. They do a wonderful job with our dog. Owner is very friendly and is clearly a pet lover. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good groomer in the upper east side.

I would like to recommend Tom & Doggy Stylez Grooming for your pet, I have struggle since we moved from Beverly Hills California to find a groomer who has not chopped up my Bichon Frise . I have tried a dozen places in New York and was not able to have the anyone cut him like a Bichon Frise But Tom and his staff did an amazing job not only with his cut but his care he was not stressed out he came out as relaxed as ever. Just an amazing experience with Doggy Stylez Grooming ♡♡

If I could give zero stars I would. My dear friends Maltese was cut open from the groomer and they tried to I initially deny it was them and then they attempted to minimize how severe this was.The whole experience was a nightmare.

This is a great place to take your dog. Today was my second time going to Doggy stylez to get the full grooming package and my Shih Tzu came out looking great. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We walked in right before closing thinking they would turn us away but they were happy to help us anyway. I would definitely recommend this place

Ive been going to doggy stylz since 2011. I lived two blocks away and it was very convient. My dog usually hates going to the groomers, but when he sees Tom, he goes right to him without hesitation. I moved out of the city a few years ago and still go to doggy stylz because I know my dog is in good hands.

Very nice, very accommodating people. Had to reschedule on VERY short notice and I was able to get another spot for my pup at a time that was convenient for me. Really really satisfied with the deshedding job they did on my elkhound.Thanks guys :)

Brought my Pomeranian here and the groomer did a great job at cutting his hair but when we got home I noticed a gash on his back leg that wasnt there that morning now he has a bad scar & his hair didnt grow back right.I dont recommend this place to anyone.

I have lived the in the UES for three years. This is the best place. They always make room for Mr. Louie even if its last minute. My dogs always looks so good and is well treated. must try !!

Worst service ever …. Very disappointed and badly regret for taking my baby there .I particularly mention to the groomer (Tom ) how I want them to leave the tail (pompom ) as it is and he hadn’t pay attention at all …they messed it up … I dropped my baby at 1 pm and they said to come back at 4:35 but they ended up giving my baby back at 6 and I can tell that they did leave her whole time in a cage and did rush at the last minute by her looks and also she had panic attack for almost an hour … this is not a place to leave your fur baby for that long hours and on top of that they charge us extra … never ever going back …. Very unprofessional….

Tom was great! I was able to take my pup in As a last minute walk in. He listened to what I wanted and really made sure my pooch was well taken care of!

Just adopted a dog and wanted to get him cleaned up. Read great reviews and it was close by so I figured I’d try it. They took me same day and Tom was very sweet and made my 10 month old dog as comfortable as possible. He looks great and I’d definitely go again!

Over charged and never deducted the “up front fee $20 from the total” the person who answers the phone is RUDE, very unprofessional and just simply nasty. Huffs and puffs on the phone with you. Not coming back.

Tom is THE BEST. I started going there about 3 years ago and I don’t know why I didn’t write a review sooner. He’s always been amazing to us but even more recently he really helped me out when my dog had an emergency and got covered in (literally hundreds) of ticks after running around in Long Island. He took him right away and did a tick bath on him and combed out all of the dead ticks by hand afterwards and was just so good to us. In addition to always being amazing and thoughtful. But he’s really a great person and a caring dog person. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!!!

Brought my border collie/golden mix. She is old and frail (12 years old) The groomer took good care of her and showed compassion while taking his time. She had a couple of accidents (#2 in the cage) and was shaking but the people there knew how to take care of her and clean her up well. She came out happy and got a treat from the groomer. Im satisfied and will keep coming back as long as my baby girl is here.
