Rapawzel Dog Grooming & Day Care

We had a great experience! I asked for a scissor cut for my cavalier king charles spaniel and gave some pictures to imitate, and Rapawzel did just what I asked. I also really liked that there was only one other little dog there at the time, which made the experience less stressful for my little dog. And they only took 1.5 hours to groom, rather than keeping her for hours. I will be back!

Absolutely beautiful grooming job, no question, but there was some major miscommunication between the manager and the receptionists.**Note, before you read on, the manager called to apologize, which I greatly appreciate. The grooming itself was flawless, so I’m willing to give them another try.They bathed both of my dogs and fan dried them when I’d specifically asked them in writing to give them a dry cut. One of my dogs gets major anxiety at the groomers, and he can’t handle any kind of blow drying at all because of the noise. At the end these guys complained that my dog is “aggressive,” which I guarantee is because they bathed and blow dried him, then they asked me to pay more than we’d initially agreed on for the “extra work” they did, Oof…

This is my second time going and they’ve done such an amazing job on my baby. I would recommend anyone who needs a new groomer to come over here. All the staff are amazing. They perfected my dogs haircut and I got what I asked. The manager should be proud of their staff and their work. This will now be my regular groomer for my dog.

I run a rescue organization, Pawsome Squad. We have a cockapoo, Honey Bear, who does not like getting touched in the face or paws. He would snap and bite anyone that’s close to touching his face. We went to many groomers and they would not work with him as he was too aggressive.. Even the vet had to sedate him because of his aggression in order for him to be groomed. But since he needs to be groomed at least 3 times a year, the vet said they can’t sedate him that much as it will not be healthy for him. So we searched for groomers on the upper eastside. We stop by Rapawzel and they told us their groomer, Ednilson, has experienced with aggressive rescues. His appointment lasted for 3 hours and he was so happy! I don’t know how Ednilson and his team did it but we are relieved that Honey Bear is finally groomed and looking like a gentleman! Thank you soooo much for being Pawsome!!!

My dog was accommodated quickly, same day with no issues. He came out looking like a new man and is so soft and clean and cute! The pricing was fair and the service was great.

The staff and service at Rapawzel are AMAZING!!!!! I feel very comfortable with them and Our pups are always excited to see the staff!I just moved to the area, read many reviews and called many groomers, until I found them.Very easy to get an appointment and they’re always very sweet and loving towards our fur babies. We have a Bassett hound and maltipoo! Specifically for our maltipoo, we love how her haircuts always turn out!Second time using them and I’m so happy I found them .

I took my kitten there for his first grooming today and I have to say he came back home smelling delicious!He is a Siberian so he had a coat that was shedding and they did an excellent job with cleaning him up. We had his hind legs and part of his belly trimmed to help with litter tracking and to keep him cleaner in general. We also got a teeth cleaning for our little guy!I requested pictures of the process as well, which the staff graciously were willing to take and send to me. They were cognizant of how stressed he appeared to be and offered him treats and pets to comfort him. I will definitely be returning!

Ruby had an adorable haircut which is very important for a Maltipoo! She was a little nervous as it was her first time at Rapawzel. Staff take their time and are knowledgable about styles for various breeds of dogs and the dogs coats. Attention to detail and comfort of your dog. Highly recommended. Photo of Ruby included. Thank you Neilson!...............Despite regular brushing with dog toothpaste, sometimes its not sufficient to maintain a dogs dental hygiene. My cherished senior dog, Tara, recently underwent a non-anesthetic dental cleaning at Rapawzel. Neilson cleaned her teeth, meticulously removing tartar. Tara wasnt stressed when I picked her up, thanks to the staffs attentive and patient approach. A great find for getting your dogs teeth cleaned, highly recommened.

Our 13 week old cavapoo puppy Pluto got his first ever grooming at Rapawzel and we are so happy we came here! The staff were very kind and attentive and even texted us midway to let us know how Pluto was doing. Excellent experience and Pluto looks wonderful! Can’t wait to come back. They got me in for a same day appointment which I really appreciated. Everyone here was really friendly and made sure to make note of what I wanted for the groom. They did an amazing job with the cut and really made sure that I was satisfied. Highly recommend!

I seriously can’t recommend this daycare enough! After trying pretty much all the options around, this place is hands-down the best. It’s got a cozy, boutique vibe and isn’t packed with a ton of dogs, which I love. The staff is amazing—they keep me updated during the day, and I know my dog is getting the best care. He’s always happy and exhausted when I pick him up. If you’re looking for a daycare that feels personal and really takes care of your pup, this is it!

I brought my golden retriever in for a bath and deshedding treatment, and he came home smelling and looking great! He hasn’t had a bath in a few weeks and has been shedding like crazyyyy, but came home squeaky clean (with a cute bandana, I will add) and with less stray fur. Will definitely be coming back to Rapawzel for grooming again !!!

I brought my puppy here for his first grooming service and I completely love the entire ordeal. They were very informative every step of they way. My dog was matted a lot and need additional shaving. He was nervous and crying during his combing and brushing part. I was given a call before they proceeded with other options to groom him. I would absolutely recommend Rapawzel to anyone looking to have there pet groomed. 💗

They were really nice here and good to my little boy. They separate a dog with a partition if it doesn’t get along with the other dogs. This creates a safe environment. My only complaint is the hours. Pickup by 6pm is a pretty tough schedule for working professionals in nyc. Would be so much better and probably get way more business if it closed at 7pm.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness and how thorough they are. I used the mobile service since the website says it prevents exposure to other animals and their diseases and parasites. My puppy, who was not in contact with other dogs and hadnt been going outside, got an ear infection and giardia from this experience! There was water that got into his ear and became infected since they did not wipe any excess water in that area. He didnt eat for a few days and when I took him to the vet, they tested his feces and found the giardia infection! I emailed them back about it and did not receive any responses! Never again! Stay away! Not clean at all. I dont know how there are so many positive reviews for this on google.. they must have removed all the negative reviews. Yelp has the opposite with a bunch of negative reviews. I should have looked there first before hiring there guys.

They were able to take my pup immediately and allowed her to roam free after her cut instead of waiting in a cage. They managed to get a bow on her, which she never allows :) She got a good cut and was super fluffy. Overall great experience and recommend!

My poochie loves to get groomed at this groomer, the receptionist is very welcoming and friendly my poochie gets so excited when he sees him. The groomers are very friendly to my pooch. My pooch shows no signs of being treated mean, he truly loves play time there too. I would recommend the services for any dog owner.

This was my first at home grooming experience for my dog and it couldn’t have been better.Naize the groomer was slightly early, very friendly, efficient and did a wonderful job with Rory. He’s anxious during grooming but she was very gentle and patient. She cleaned the space after as well. This was everything I look for in this experience.

We took our havanese Harry to be groomed and it was a great experience. They are so nice and accommodating and the place is immaculate. Harry looks cuter than ever! Will definitely go back!

Im so glad I found Rapawzel. My dog ​​gets very nervous at bath time especially with nail trimming and this is the only place they make him feel comfortable. They always take my dog in for a quick nail trim and the employees are so sweet! They charge $22 which is half what his vet does.

A good cat groomer is hard to find, let alone a GREAT one. This was my first time going to Rapawzel (82nd street location) and my experience was above and beyond from start to finish. The staff was so lovely and helpful on the phone and really went the extra mile to accommodate me and fit me in first thing next day.My cat is a recent rescue with significant matting and I felt confident that she would need to be shaved (although I was hoping she wouldn’t!). Their groomer was highly experienced with cats and decided to do a brush out instead, which had me in AWE, as I was sure it would be impossible. When we picked her up and brought her home, she walked out of the carrier beautiful as can be with no mats and in great spirits. Clearly, her experience was a positive one. She looks beautiful and is so so much happier.10/10 will be going back and would refer Rapawzel without hesitation.

Our dog comes back so fresh and happy! He has a lot of fur and is always completely dry and very clean. He is very active and they do a great job handling him. It takes about 2.5 hours for our golden retriever, and he comes home sleepy! I would recommend them to anyone.

I spoke with them on the phone to schedule an appointment, or potentially have someone come to my home for in-person grooming for my two dogs. They hung up on me in the middle of the conversation (45 seconds in) and never called me back, and did not answer any of my follow up calls that day. Until, I called them star *67 and they answered on the first ring. I’ve never spoken to someone so unprofessional and greedy. I am astonished that someone that apparently is a business owner, would handle a potential client this way. 1 star, and glad we’ve never done business, and we absolutely never will.

One day they will take 2 hours plus, other days an hour. They add on fees for anything. I need to find a new groomer. This place is too inconsistent.

They do a phenomenal job. Our Winston was newly rescued and had tons of matting in his fur. I was worried that they would need to shave him down, but thankfully they were able to comb it out. He even came back calm and happy!

Vinny has a bath about every 10 days. He comes home looking amazing. Very white. They always do something extra which is nice, like trim his ears a tiny bit, when they really need it. You can make an appointment for late in the morning. Instead of leaving him off at 9AM. They always call as soon as he is done, so that he doesn’t have to spend extra time there. Everyone is very nice.Always specify about perfume.

I’ve been to this groomer a few times. The first time they completely ruined her hair they called back and fixed it. Then the second time they charged us double and it was good and today I came back they charged me even more and every single time they keep increasing our rate and they don’t even do a good job. So will not be going back here.

Beware! We went on vacation for a couple of weeks & sent our dog here for boarding. After we picked our dog, she started crying/whimpering when we tried to pet her. We discovered she had an ear infection! We took her to a vet that very same day and was advised that it was a very serious/bad infection! We spoke w/ Deliah and Tony at Dogs Cats & Co and were told they do Not care for our dogs and that they have someone else walk them.Apparently the dogs were left there in the room and thats it!!! No one even knew our dog had a severe ear infection! They do not have cameras like many other dog boarding places do in the area.They gave our dog a bath. She has a white/wheat coat and then we realized the top of her body (the spine) has light brown highlights and feels course! It looked like their groomer prob burnt our dogs fur from blow drying our dog! Her original coat/fur is white/wheat color and is very very soft and now the top of her body (spine/back area) has light brown highlights and feel harsh like her fur had been burnt from the dryer!Deliah and Tony denied anything is wrong with our dog! They said they did Not know about our dogs bad ear infection! Our vet says the ear infection is very very bad -- if this company has an ounce of care/consideration for any dog staying in their property they will know that a dog is a severe ear infection! Our dog would not even let us pet her because she was in soo much pain:(We are Not looking for a refund and just want everyone to beware of this company! When a family member went to visit our dog one day in the morning around 10-10:30am, they told us our dog is not available and is out for a walk. They do not have any cameras, so who know where they actually kept our dog for 2 weeks. Im just grateful shes not death because our vet said our dog was in so much pain that she could have become death if we didnot take her in!!!If anyone boards their pets here at this place, beware! Perhaps a day is ok but not overnight!!!

Have had multiple good experiences at the UES location and most recently tried mobile grooming - Denilson did a great job. Overall seamless experience and my pet seemed happy afterward. I will definitely use the mobile service again.

I must say theyre a wonderful staff a great place! This place is my dog sitter when I am in town. Is the only place I trust to leave my my dog when I am in the city. My dog is very particular hes a rescued dog and he suffers for a little enxiaty so it gives me a peace of mind to see him happy when I have to leave. I defenetly recommend Dogs cats & Co. .

There aren’t enough stars to recommend this place. At the very last minute, I had to board my friend’s cat for a month because the previous boarding facility said he was too “feral.” Wagner and his team not only loved on him and made him much more comfortable with being handled, they accommodated all of my grooming and scheduling changes throughout the month with fluidity and ease. Wagner and Camilla clearly love animals, want what’s best for them… and it shows! Milo looks so good and chill after a month of time with the Rapawzal team. Thank you for your care and attention of our cat for such a long stay!

And… they do deep teeth cleaning, WITHOUT ANESTHESIA, which I was initially nervous about, but he tolerated it fine and they look amazing. Teeth (and breath) were horrible. I tried out Rapawzel for the first time for a full groom and was pretty happy with it! I called in advance to get a quote and they were able to fit my dog in the next day which was great. The facility looked clean and it seemed like the dogs were well taken care of. I loved the text message updates that kept me in the loop. The haircut looks great and they were very friendly. My only mild complaint is that they charged me an extra $10 because my dog was a little matted which I thought was kind of ridiculous because thats probably one of the main reasons that dogs get groomed in the first place. Ive taken Nacho to 4 different locations in the city and Ive never been charged extra for that. They probably should have mentioned that when I called to get a quote but overall I was happy with the result and thought the prices were very reasonable
