Dogtopia of Port Chester

I did a trial of a few hours for my dog to potentially keep her here for vacations. The staff was nice but my dog came back smelling like POOP. I wiped my dogs paws before putting her in the car, as I always do before she comes in the house. The wipee I used turned dark brown. I presumed it was dirt when when I smelled it smelled like POOP and it was caked on- endless wiping. I had to give my dog a bath when she got home. I asked for a refund and still never received it over 6 months ago- still waiting. I had to give my dog a bath when I got home. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place.

Wonderful place to take your dog for daycare or overnight stays. They are very flexible and take walk ins, which is great for those days where you don’t expect to need some extra dog help. My pup loves the staff, and the staff loves my pup.

We’ve boarded our dog at Dogtopia of Port Chester a few times. We’ve been very happy with every experience. Everyone who works there is very friendly and clearly cares about the dogs. The video in the play room is nice to be able to check in when we’re away. Will continue to board our dog there in the future and would definitely recommend them.

They treat my dog Duke so well. When I would drop him off he would be overjoyed to get in there. I highly recommend them.

Just a wonderful staff of dog-lovers and very nice facilities. Really like the app and the ability to drop in on playtime via the webcams. Highly recommend this location!

Carol and all the staff at Portchester are 100% the best! Our little girl is treated like they own her. Always giving her the best care and attention possible.Not to mention Brooklyn always comes out after a full days play smelling like she has been in a spa all day!! 💚She loves Dogtopia and all the new friends and staff there

My husband beat me to writing a review, but Im so blown away by the way Dogtopia of Port Chester is run, I can’t help but to add on to what my husband shared. First of all, the staff are incredibly friendly, and welcoming; Karol, Miaja, Natasha, and Brian have especially made a lasting impression on me. It’s obvious that they genuinely care for our girl, Brooklyn, because of the exuberance she shows the moment we walk through the door. When Brooklyn had an injured declaw, Karol and the staff kept a close eye on it, cleaned and wrapped it when it needed to be tended to, and gave her time to rest when they noticed she was aggravating her declaw from her intense play sessions with her pals. They kept me informed every single time I brought her until it was fully healed. The facilities are also well-maintained yet they still take the time to clean Brooklyn’s coat and freshen her up before they send her home. I swear, she smells better when I pick her up at the end of the day than when I drop her off! The peace of mind I have when Brooklyn is in their care is priceless. I cannot recommend Dogtopia of Port Chester enough!

Miaja and brian are the best! They take such good care of my baby. Knowing they’re there makes me feel so at ease when I leave her there and head to work. They are always so happy to see her and she is so happy to see them☺️

I was a customer for about a year and ignored the early warning signs, like my dog coming home smelling like urine (every day). It was easy to do because she was happy playing with other dogs. Cant deny that. But at what cost? She had been attacked several times, and we made a few unplanned vet trips. I watched other parents complain that their dogs spent too much time in the crates. Eventually, it came to a dramatic conclusion when I was picking up my dog, and the staff taking her out slammed her tail in the door. They completely removed her tail. She was in so much pain. They dont have the proper equipment or training (and the staff is constantly changing).The incident resulted in emergency surgery to remove her tail. Followed by three months of rehab, bandage changes, and a severely traumatized dog. She was actually my support animal after transitioning from the Marine Corps. Unfortunately, now I find supporting her more common. It was (and still is) personally very taxing and I took off much time from work with no support from the business. The owner never once called to apologize. I have not taken (nor will I ever take) my dog back to this establishment. They are overcrowded and do not actually care about your dogs. I posted before, and the manager called to harass me about my post. Its a very unprofessional establishment. To be clear - I expect nothing nor want anything from this business. Just hoping to one day see a massive OUT OF BUSINESS sign hanging outside.The business will respond to this review by saying that this is a freak accident (not true, look at how many others experience similar issues). They will also say they paid for the vet bills (thats true but they fail to mention they are required by law as I was taking legal action). Theyll say theyve taken action to prevent this in the future, but simply ask them if they have soft close doors or bumpers and youll see that they have spent no money to improve their facilities. They have been reported by several vets in the area. Lastly, they will respond by attacking me, and anyone else that posts the truth about this business. They are immature, poorly run, overpriced, and lack any real experience to be caring for your animal.I have attached photos of what your dog just might end up going through if you choose to bring them here! I recommend 4mydog in White Plains and Petco for grooming (cheaper and benefits are amazing). Also, see their YELP reviews, they are far more accurate. Its clear theyre incentivizing reviews.If youre bringing your dog here best of luck. I seriously hope you never have to go through what me and my pup experienced. And remember, with this place, its not a matter of IF its going to happen, Its a matter of WHEN its going to happen. Save yourself the headache. Find another spot.

It’s a good place if your dog likes playing with other dogs, etc. I personally didn’t see them play much with the dogs in the cameras but my dog was a bit needy for human affection and didn’t play with other dogs and it seemed to irritate a couple of the staff members but this was a while ago. I’m sure there’s new people and some of the old people.They’re kind and polite and make sure your dog has its needs met: it’s a good place to take your dog if you need your dog to be looked after - their prices are fair overall.

I love everything about dogtopia. I especially appreciate the Portchester facility as it has a couple of outdoor yards for the dogs to enjoy and sniff in good weather.. Additionally, the people at this facility are amazing! They are super friendly, with both the pets and the pet parents; and they are uber flexible and helpful!Most importantly, I know my pet loves it as he cant stop wagging his tail when we get there.

My pup LOVES going to Dogtopia. I have been taking him here since September. I had a great experience during the meet and greet. I got the feeling the staff truly cares about these pups. After a few sessions of daycare I left my pup with dogtopia for a week while I was traveling. It felt great to be able to check on my pup through the web camera. I would often see him playing, exploring, and getting pets from a staff member. He loves going back to play with other pups and staff members!

DogTopia is the perfect place to bring my dog to play and socialize. the staff are very caring and always greet my dog by name as soon as he walks in. I love being able to watch him play on the webcam and seeing him have fun. We have also boarded him at dogtopia when we have a late night and don’t want him at home alone. Great place!

Weve been taking our pup, Chappy to the Port Chester Dogtopia for the past few months. Very pleased with the quality, cleanliness and professionalism of the business. Best of all, each and every Dogtopia employee has treated our pup with love and care. Trust me, our high-energy, undisciplined pup is a real handful. Yet, he is cared for with patience and comfort. I absolutely love this place!! My dog has super high energy and this is a great place for him to burn it off. He gets so excited when he comes in and everyone is so friendly and greets him with a big hello. Definitely going to be using this place on a regular basis!

From my initial interaction/contact with this location, the customer service was an A+! The workers were very friendly, explained everything thoroughly and answered all questions I had.This location was able to accommodate a Meet & Greet the next day after speaking with them. The care and attention the workers give to the dogs is my favorite part. Although there were maybe 15 dogs (in the under 35 or 40lb room), the workers interact with them all and constantly clean up the space to ensure it’s clean for the dogs. Since it was my first time, I really enjoyed being able to watch my puppy on their webcam. I have a 4 month old 7lb puppy so after a not so great daycare experience the day before at another Daycare center, this added feature made me feel so much more at ease while I handled all my errands. Because my puppy did so well during the Meet & Greet, I was able to leave here the same day for a full day of care.The facility was clean and smelled sooo good upon entry. One of the workers showed me around the facility and each room was very clean and welcoming. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served (when you do a Full Day Daycare) and if you don’t bring any food, they provide food (a chicken meal and a lamb meal) that they can serve (at no extra cost).I would recommend 100%. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for and it’s amazing.

I have recommended Dogtopia to everyone I know who owns a dog, especially the port Chester location. I LOVE it there & more importantly so does my pup. The thing I love the absolute most about this location is the staff. Megan (the manager) has been the most kind and professional person I have met. She is always there and it’s come to the point where she knows me and my dog so well. I’ve taken my dog to a few other day care places and i would feel so anxious leaving my dog at some of these daycares. Not here!!! The access to the webcams keeps me at ease; I can check in on my fur baby when I’m on my lunch break or have a moment at work. The place is clean and the staff is all very knowledgeable. I am SO happy with how the staff treats Oliver and keeps me updated on how he’s doing throughout the day. I had planned to initially only have my dog here for a month for my move into our new place, but we all love it so much... I take him here everyday! I know I can trust them with my baby!I love this place SOOO much and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Started using DogTopia to bring my two dogs one being a puppy and the other being 13, the staff was always very caring and passionate about the dogs. Whenever I drop off I’m confident they look after my dogs as if they’re their own and I love watching them play on the webcams all day. I do wish the app was a little easier to navigate but other than that DogTopia is a perfect place to leave your dog.

Dogtopia is a great experience for my puppy he’s a teacup Chihuahua and they are extremely a wonderful place to bring your pup 💕 nothing but a great experience from day one extremely professional time giving to clean beautiful place is a dogs playground 💕

Amazing customer service at this location (especially the manager, Megan)! I brought my puppy in this week for a Meet & Greet and the staff welcomed her with open arms. They were willing to work with my schedule for pick-up and even accommodated a last minute bath/nail trim request that I had. They really go the extra mile for their customers. I definitely will be bringing Alma back to this location!

The employees are so friendly and clearly know my dog. I love the app and being able to schedule her playdates with a couple of clicks. Reasonably priced. And my dog is happily exhausted when I pick her up :)

“We appreciate your family discussing this matter with us directly and wish you as well as Rocky the very best.” I came here to right my own review after I heard about what happened and honestly I believe every word that lady had to say about you guys. You guys want to talk about “discussing this matter with us directly” but you don’t mean that. Because whenever someone wants to, you run in the opposite direction and hear your employee first and while I applaud you for sticking by their side, sometimes they come up with false excuses and lies. Therefore I truly believe what that lady wrote in that review and because I have a friend who used to take her dog here, the same thing happened to her. You guys take zero accountability. Everyone since the company was bought or whatever a year or two ago at least in the Stamford location, you guys have gone down the drain at least in my perspective. The fact that you guys are always hiring new people because either people are quitting or getting fired left to right. Pick up your act and shape the heck up. Do better 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would give them no stars if I could. My dog is extremely ill due to ingesting portions of the blue blankets Dogtopia Port Chester uses to control the dogs. A representative admitted that this is happening in other locations but the District Manager refuses to remove the blankets citing company policy. I left several messages for the location manager when my dog became ill and I never received a call back from her. Everything was great until it wasnt. I wished I had not trusted them.

Dogtopia of Portchester is fantastic, they care for our 2 dogs, and are so attentive, and knowledgeable when we ask questions. We trust our dogs are in good hands each time they are in their care.

I love Dogtopias staff, everyone of them, and my dog wags his tail every time I drop him off and is just as happy when I pick him up. Best place to let him socialize with other dogs.

Love the staff! Especially Paige, Angie and Olivia. They love my girls and I feel super comfortable leaving them in their care!! I love knowing they can be dropped off, have fun in a safe, supervised environment, and knowing they will be tired once we get home.**** EditThey have just terminated their general manager Paige. The reason why I trusted them with my dogs! As someone who spends hundreds of dollars on my dog there, I think we deserve to know why, why was this genuine person who had all my trust removed! Know my business will go elsewhere if these shaddy practices continue! I would HOPE that it has nothing to do with the fact that is a lesbian Black woman!!!!!!!!This woman has made me feel at ease with leaving my dogs at a doggie day care facility! We deserve answers!

They have such a horrible customer service. None of the staff there know what is going on. The general manager Karolina is rude and unprofessional. By canceling appts 15 min before, not returning phone calls, double charging credit cards. I wouldnt recommend this place ever

$52 for a day is a little expensive, but my dog loves it. She is always exhausted when she gets home.

What a fantastic place to bring your very best friend for A-day of Is fun with their friends. They also offer overnight boarding and spa services.

We went to a few (6) different Dogtopias when we were looking for a place to leave our granddogger MoRo for a few days. We picked this one because the people who work there genuinely seem to like not only their job but also the dogs!! Got a good feeling and we werent wrong! Weve gone back a second time and she is happy and treated well. They have cameras so you can check in on your pets during the day. I highly recommend this one!!
