Amazing experience with Angelo. We called him after fostering, and later adopting, a one year old, male, mixed terrier who was a stray in Texas. He was very reactive, bit twice, couldn’t walk on a leash, had crazy reactivity toward people and dogs, and was possessive over me. He needed a lot of training. Angelo was able to calm us down and reassure us he could help and has dealt with more difficult dogs. We enrolled our dog, Leo, in a 4 week program to focus on behavior management and training. It was a very hard 4 weeks without Leo, but he was in good hands. After the training, we picked him up and Angelo walked us through the entire training and practiced with us what he learned. He gave us advice to follow and offered to meet us for a training session in a public space a week or two following. After bringing Leo home, we implemented the rules right away and after two weeks met back with Angelo. Save to say, our dog now can walk in public places, not pull on a leash, is not reactive to dogs when on walks, and more controllable in the house. Angelo has helped tremendously and he truly cares about dogs. Definitely would recommend him to others struggling with dog behaviors.

I cant say enough positive things about Angelo and his incredible work at The Art of K9!I boarded Zelda (40-lb, 2.5 year old pitt mix) with Angelo for ~8 weeks to address her reactivity, over-arousal, and basic obedience (leash pulling, jumping when greeting, barking excessively, etc).Within 24 hours of submitting my initial online inquiry, Angelo set up a screening call to walk me through his training style, home setup, and prior experience working with complex dogs. Angelo really took the time to understand Zelda’s unique personality and then mapped various training methods that would be most effective for her needs.Angelo even set up and facilitated two 1-2 hour in-person mid-training sessions, where my partner and I could get hands-on experience and ask as many questions as we needed to understand how to maintain Zelda’s new skills. After 8 weeks with Angelo, Zelda is now much calmer and more confident. As someone that lives in Manhattan, I highly recommend Angelo to anyone looking for a top-notch dog trainer in the tristate area!

Bruno spent 4 weeks with Angelo and he did a fantastic job. Bruno was very reactive towards other dogs and people. I use to avoid walking him down busy streets or in areas with other dogs. There was times I could not control him and he would not listen to any commands. It was very frustrating. But after his training I was so impressed and happy with how well he behaved. Going on walks are fun and I enjoy taking him out now! I can even walk him in Home Depot and pet stores. Just knowing how he reacted before, and being able to go in stores is an amazing feeling. Angelo provided me with the tools and knowledge I needed to continue building on the foundation he built with him. If I have any questions or need help, Angelo still helps and you can send him videos if necessary. I will definitely recommend Angelo to anyone that needs help with their dog.

Angelo’s training did wonders for my girl! My 1 year old mini goldendoodle was an extremely anxious dog and refused to be placed in her crate, creating bad behaviors. Angelo was able to crate train my dog so she now sleeps in her kennel, and this has allowed her to be much calmer and less anxious overall. He also perfected her ability to follow commands such as down (in any location despite distractions) and proper leash walking techniques. Throughout the 4 weeks, Angelo would send photos and also trained us to continue training her. She’s a much happier, better dog and we’re happier dog parents. It took me months to commit to board and train due to being nervous to send her away but i’m so glad I did! Take this as your sign to send your dog to Angelo

Angelo has been Fantastic for our 1 year old Bully. At 85 lbs you can imagine how hard she could be to control. 2 weeks with Angelo and I have the freedom to take her any where, parks, playgrounds, fairs. I never had a dog that I could do anything like this with. We even board her with them while we are away. I highly recommend Angelo and The Art of K9. He is Patient and Kind and not afraid to teach owners how to keep training even after the program.

I came to Angelo with my 1.5yo yorkie mix that had major anxiety and fear based behavioral issues that I absolutely could not get under control. Angelo had him for the 8 week board and train and it has been such a huge help and relief. The difference in not only behavior but the way my dog engages with and listens to me is incredible. Angelo is so good with keeping up with us and helping us with any adjustments in training that may be needed. I truly could not be more grateful for the help hes given not only my dog but myself!

Piper is our second Weimaraner but she was proving to be harder than our previous pup. With a 10 week old puppy and three kids in our home, I knew we needed professional help. We have always included our dogs in whatever we were doing so it was really important that Piper could be no -reactive in public, have good recall off the leash during walks and play, sit patiently, allow strangers to approach her, and be calm around kids. Through training, Angelo helped us create a schedule and environment to help Piper live in our world rather than us living in hers! Strangers always comment on how well behaved Piper is for only an 8-month old puppy! The best part of working with Angelo is that “his” dogs become his for life. I constantly reach out to Angelo with questions, concerns or continued guidance and he always takes time to help my family and me. When we sent Piper to board and train, I was nervous she wouldn’t come back as a dog but instead a rigid canine. Nope! Piper is still very much an energetic, fun, adventurous puppy but simply knows they are rules and expectations that she has to abide by. I would totally recommend Angelo for B&T and 1:1 private lessons. I have done both.

Angelo has a unique approach to training that might sound off putting to some but after a bad experience with a previous dog, and a new puppy with HIGH anxiety, we were willing to try anything. After 4 weeks boarding, we found our puppy had so much improvement. Not to mention he crate trained her for us, which was impossible for us before. He gave good instructions and guidance on how to use the tools he sets up with your dog.

Ruby and our family have had a fantastic experience with Angelo and The Art of K9. We were all very excited when we first got Ruby, she is a 110lbs Mastiff. She was not the easiest dog we ever trained, our families 3rd. But when she was about a year old we started to notice she was becoming reactive towards other dogs when on the leash. She was just too big to muscle through and we knew we needed help. Ruby spent 4 weeks with Angelo and it was a huge change. He gave us a new way of communicating with Ruby that she understood, verbally and using the E-collar. Angelo always makes himself available when you have a question. Not only is she better on the leash, but she is really awesome off the leash too. The training techniques are now just something we use as second nature on ever walk and when asking something of her. I would suggest Angelo to anyone struggling with their Pet, even a BIG one like ours...

I had a wonderful experience with Angelo! He work with me to break down my dogs crate anxiety, why it was happening and how I can fix it. I have a working, high drive GSD and finding a trainer that truly understands what it like to have this type of dog can be hard. After he listened to all my concerns we came up with a training plan, and he made recommendations for what collar and crate to get! It is sometimes the simplest things that make the biggest difference and talking to an expert like Angelo is the way to go! All I can say is that you need to invest in your dogs training wisely, and Angelo is the guy to go to in westchester!

I have a German Shepard who’s about a year old. He had extreme behavioral problems, he would not listen, destroyed furniture, and had accidents daily. He was a jumper, he wouldn’t sleep through the night, just overall terrible behavior. As my family and I were looking for a trainer we came across Angelo, who was very easy to get in contact with, he immediately called me back to discuss Hunter. After 6 weeks of board and train with Angelo I got a completely new version of my dog. Who now knows many commands listens very well, and has next to no accidents since he’s been home. The way Angelo put it was “building a foundation”, that he did. Angelo didn’t just train my dog but he gave me my life back.

Coco is my family’s Rottweiler/Cane Corso mix. We rescued her when she was about 7 months old. As we got to know Coco we realized she was reactive toward people and other dogs we encountered on our walks. She also reacts toward any mailman that approaches our house. For a long time, having never dealt with a reactive dog, we tried to manage these behaviors on our own. We started training with Angelo when Coco was already 5 years old. After just 5 lessons, Coco is now able to walk on our local trails and go on hikes where there are other people and dogs all around. Angelo gave us the tools and the confidence to approach every situation that comes our way. While some situations still make Coco anxious, they are much more manageable than before. Coco no longer pulls on walks and listens to commands very well. Angelo is an incredibly patient and kind teacher and trainer. I highly recommend him to any dog owner who wants to confidently handle their dog. He has made our life with Coco that much more enjoyable.

Our dog is a rescue from Puerto Rico who was initially found on the side of a busy highway as a very newborn pup. She is incredibly fearful and difficult as a result. After 6 weeks with Angelo, we saw a HUGE change in the confidence levels of our dog and as a result, she learned so much with Angelo. Things that would have taken us years (if at all!) Angelo was able to accomplish. His work is amazing and I’m so proud of her development and satisfied with The Art of K9. I highly recommend the long term program if you have a troubled dog. It can be tough to say goodbye to your dog for an extended period of time, but all that time the dog is away is time the dog is growing. Be sure to follow the advice and human training Angelo provides so you keep the momentum going!

I was pretty unsure about sending my 6 month old Doberman to a 3 week board and train because I wasnt sure how he would react or if it would change his personality after, but it was completely the opposite. Angelo is an awesome trainer and really helped my dog keep his fun and high energy personality but learn when to listen and when to calm down when needed. After the board and train Im able to do more with my dog and take him more places because hes so much better trained. The facility Angelo trains out of is clean and is perfectly set up for nonstop training. Trust me, if youre looking for a trainer, go see Angelo and you wont be disappointed!

Let me start by saying, I’ve never boarded or sent any of my dogs for training before , so this was a new experience! I was very nervous but I knew I needed help! We got this beautiful Alaskan malamute rescue, Ozzy. He was younger than we thought. Very playful and actually had some basic training skills. Problem is , he would jump up on you (and he’s pretty big) and he’d bite your arm. He needed more structure than we knew how to teach! I called Angelo , and I am grateful that he listened to me …basically pleading for help lol.Ozzy went for the four week program. I cannot tell you what a huge difference the training has made in ozzys life as well as ours. He walks better on outings, he no longer bites on us , he is just much more behaved. He’s young and tries to get away with things but now we know the cues and what to do.I can’t thank Angelo enough for everything!Ozzy even went back for a week stay, as I had to prepare for my daughters wedding. You can really see the difference in Ozzy from the time he went to Angelo to the time he left! It’s on the Art of k9 dog training instagram page!

We sent our 18month old German Shepherd, Maizy, to Angelos 4-week Board and Train program. We were struggling with destructive behavior at home and in our yard and reactivity towards other dogs on leash. We were nervous about how the e-collar training would work and if it would be too harsh for her. Having just got her back less than a month ago, the results have been beyond our expectations. She is still people-loving Maizy but now we can use commands like heel, place and down to redirect and control her energy. We had been doing local training classes but his program got her SO much further than we could. The house destruction is gone, any digging in the yard is easily corrected, and, on leash, she is much more manageable. Angelo is so knowledgeable and always available for questions. We are continuing our training with him to get Maizy to an even better place! Wed recommend him whole heartedly!

My dog, George, was a pretty serious resource guarder when it came to food. We knew we had to correct the issue, but didn’t know how, especially because George wasn’t afraid to use his teeth to protect his food. Angelo actually changed our lives with his ability to understand the root of George’s issue and deal with it. Angelo’s training and techniques during George’s first one month stay really worked and helped us communicate with George in a language that was clear to him and us. George recently went on a short refresh with Angelo and came back even better at “out” and leash walking. Angelo just has a way of working with animals that gets the best out of your dog. I tell everyone about Angelo, especially if they are dealing with a serious resource guarder like George. So grateful we found Angelo and he will be part of George’s life for a long time.

I recently enrolled my reactive German Shepherd, Axel, in The Art of K9s 6-week program, and the results were phenomenal. Angelos deep understanding of German Shepherds made all the difference. Axels behavior improved drastically – he can now peacefully pass other dogs and coexists harmoniously with our cat. Despite being from Jersey (Bergen County area) and going to Connecticut, the distance was worth it. Axels transformation under Angelos guidance is nothing short of remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend The Art of K9, especially for large breed dog training. 5 stars without a doubt.

I have a 1 1/2-year-old German Shepherd his name is Diego. I took my dog to The Art of K9 when he was 1 year and 2 months old. I signed him up to the board training program because I started to notice signs of aggression later on Angelo, the Owner/ lead Dog Trainer of The Art of K9, told me that its not aggression that he has but its anxiety. During those four weeks of training, Angelo trained my dog extremely well. I am extremely happy with the work he did with Diego; he is a completely different dog he doesnt pull the leash nor barks at random strangers he now listens to my commands which is amazing. If you are looking for a good dog trainer I would definitely recommend the art of K9, Angelo and his team to work with you and your furry friend.

We sent our dog Monsi to Angelo- originally because of socialization problems, yet she surprised us and came out with so many higher level qualities we didn’t anticipate or know was possible. At first, we second guessed our choice to leave Monsi for 6-weeks because we missed her. Every time we checked in with Angelo, he updated us, but we missed our fur baby so much. Now, afterwards, I can’t stop recommending this program to everyone I know. It’s a worthwhile investment IF you plan to KEEP UP with it. All of Angelo’s work can easily be undone with dog owners that do not upkeep the foundation he creates. Currently our dog listens to each command after one time saying it, she is walking off leash behind us, does not lurk around the table while we eat or cook, stays in place for 2-hours and counting, and more. Overall, she has many service dog qualities.I need to give credit where it is due because our dog was unsure of herself, very anxious, annoying at times because she didn’t know what to do during quiet hours at home and needed way too much physical exercise (4+ hours daily). He taught us, and our dog Monsi, that exercise and socialization looks different than we thought. Monsi is the dog we dreamed of and didn’t know how to achieve. He tapped into her potential. She does not impede our life in anyway. She adds on to the quality and is stress free now that we know how to maintain and handle her.Not only that, but my parents sent their dog at the same time as our dog. So now we have two dogs that listen to the same command. We can bring our dogs on vacation and have complete calm and fun with them present. This was the greatest gift to a life of joy with a well trained fur family member! Thank you Angelo and Art of K9.I know picking a program at such a cost is nerve recking since there is not enough information or proof online but promise me, this is the place. We put a lot of trust into prior reviews and tiktok/Instagram videos.... We got lucky finding this place. It’s a hidden gem of Westchester. If anyone needs more details to convince you this program is worth it, contact me. I’ll convince you- haha!

When we first realized our mini Aussie Layla was reactive we felt hopeless. At only six months of age, we could barely get her into the hallway and out of our apartment building without her reacting to everything in her path - even the ding of the elevator set her off. Both myself and my girlfriend grew up with multiple dogs but never encountered an issue with reactivity until now.We first tried private training lessons locally but it was clear that this wasnt something that was going to be solved overnight nor a few weekly one hour training sessions were going to make a big difference. After coming to terms that we might need to take the next step, we spent time researching board and train programs from CT to RI and everything in between. This is how we found Angelo and The Art of K9 Dog Training and ultimately decided he was going to be the best for Layla and help us during this difficult time.Angelo kept us updated each step of the way while Layla was in his care and while it was hard not seeing our little girl for a month, believe me when I say, it was well worth it. We can now walk her in and out of our apartment building without fear of her going berserk and can actually walk her by a dog successfully with the tools and techniques hes taught us. And when she does slip up, its either because we missed the timing or we got too close too fast.Reactivity isnt something that can be fixed with a snap of your fingers and in some cases never fully goes away (due to genetics, etc.) but Angelos experience with all cases across the spectrum will help guide you in the right direction and give you the tools to start rehabilitating your dog. The progress hes made with Layla has proven this and were looking forward to him continuing to work with her to become the best that she can be!Thanks Angelo! -Nick and Alyssa

I am thrilled by the outcome of my dog, Luna, after spending a little over two weeks with Angelo at The Art Of K9. From the first point of contact, Angelo was thorough, detailed, and realistic about what to expect, especially because I was doing a shorter program than recommended (many other people I spoke to projected seemingly unrealistic outcomes). I was impressed by Angelo’s emphasis on mindset and lifestyle shifts for both Luna and me as her owner. He understood and emphasized that effective training goes beyond Luna’s time with him, and made a strong effort to thoroughly educate me on continuing Luna’s training at home. He patiently went over everything I needed to know, ensuring I felt confident and equipped to maintain her progress. Additionally, he followed up with me post-program to check on Luna’s progress and to offer any additional support I might need. I was not sure what to expect from the e-collar training, but it is an incredibly efficient training method and I was happy to see that Luna responded well to it. I recommend Angelo and The Art Of K9 to anyone seeking effective and communicative dog training expertise.

Could not have asked for a better experience at a training facility. Previous to the Art Of K9, my six-year-old bichon cocker spaniel mix and I had been to countless trainers and programs all who have not been able to help. Angelo and the Art of K9 have done what other trainers told me was impossible, helping train Louie to be less anxious, build his confidence, and eliminate his fear aggression. Previous trainers had me barking at my dog (yes you read correctly), leaving him in bedrooms until he stopped barking, and some wouldn’t even come in contact with him since he was a 16 lb. dog who has aggression issues.Louie has a history of excessive barking, was not crate trained, had a history of biting, pulled the leash on walks, and never listened unless he wanted to (he’s a very stubborn dog). I enrolled Louis in the six week board and train program with Angelo. Although the first three weeks were very difficult for me, every single moment and Penny was worth the results. Friends and family who meet the new and improved Louie can’t believe he’s the same dog. Angelo was very responsive throughout the six week program, even for a crazy dog mom like me who have never been away from her pup for more than a week.It has now been two months that Louie has been home. For the first time in his entire life, he can run around our front and backyard without a leash and will return on command. He has attended dinner parties with us and at our home, which previously we had never been able to do out of fear that Louis would lunch or become aggressive. He has interacted with children and other dogs in our home for the first time in his life as well.Honestly, I wish I would have sent Louie to Angelo sooner. The Art of K9 should be the only trainers alfalfa. I cannot think you and your team enough for what you have done for our family!!!

We adopted Bailey when she was around 12 weeks old. Very quickly we started to see behaviors that would cause problems for her and us since we had our first baby on the way. So around 5-6 months old BAiley went to her first board and train with Angelo. Now when we dropped her off I don’t even think she knew her name. She was the stubborn, showed signs of food aggression, fear aggression, and was was impossible to walk.Fast forward 4 weeks to the end of her board and train. She responded to her name, and knew all her basic commands (sit, down, here, etc) her food aggression was gone, and we were able to take walks with her again.Fast forward almost two years. We had a baby who took over a lot of our time and we let Bailey slip into bad habits. Now don’t get me wrong Bailey still responded well to all her commands which was great in the house but completely ignored us outside and started regressing back into her aggressive burst with strangers, she became impossible to leave out when guest came over. Especially Impossible to walk or even take in the car with us. She wanted to devour anyone she saw.So we took bailey back for her second board and train to work on this developed issue. This time we did a 3 week board and train and couldn’t have been happier with the results!Angelo taught her different commands/reactions to safely introduce her to people. I can now take her on walks without fearing I would have her lash out out if someone got too close. We have been able to have people come over and safely have her interact and not have to put her in her kennel. All in all we are beyond ecstatic with Angelo’s services and the amazing care he took of our Bailey. Our dog Wick was rescued from a terrible situation that made him more than your average reactive dog. He would lunge and make these terrifying noises that didn’t even sound like a dog, he would get so worked up that he would literally foam at the mouth. We tried everything we possibly could and it got to the point that we couldn’t even take him out for walks in daylight. He would only go out first thing in the morning and really late at night, all other times he went out were just quick pee walks right outside the door. Other trainers turned us down for private lessons because Wick is a pitbull. It broke our hearts seeing him still be scarred from his past. Angelo took Wick initially for 4 weeks and worked wonders! Angelo showed us that Wick was not aggressive but just terrified of dogs and was reactive because of it. Angelo got to the root of the problem and trained Wick so he had a foundation to move forward. Angelo met with us on weekends after we picked Wick up for follow up lessons and Wick is still progressing! We can now take Wick on walks and hikes! We have even walked passed dogs who lunge at Wick an he has little to no reaction. When Wick started trying to revert back to his old habits after a month or 2 of being home, we gave him to Angelo for a week of maintenance training and he was amazing! We even take Wick to Angelo for his baths now since he’s so great with dogs. We wouldn’t trust Wick with anyone else other than Angelo, he’s taking so much special time and care to help rehabilitate and train Wick into the happy and calm dog he is today. Thank you Angelo and Katie for taking such good care of my baby!

Angelo was recommended, through our local dog park, as a trainer who manages aggressive animals. Initially, his methods seemed like too big a step for our dog, whos basically acts out from fear. But we quickly realized Angelo is a unique trainer. He has a practical feel for communicating to pets that are easily frightened, not socially adapted, or who worry about their place in an uncertain world. Angelo set up the Art of K9 facility to help these hard to socialize animals learn new skills. The space is open and communal well supervised. That give the animals the space to be themselves; but they do it in an a strictly structured setting. That removes most of what worries dogs. And thats the point. Also, Angelos follow up is excellent. He is always available by text. And his boarding is top notch. My wife and I recommend the Art of K9 highly!--jb

I have a 5 year old siberian husky named Skye. I have had her since she was 3 months. We started having aggression, guarding (food, toys), and behavior issues once she turned 2 years old. She has a biting history with family and the veterinarian and she has broken skin. I have gone through different trainers and nothing worked. For the past 2 years my family has had to make big sacrifices and changes just for her. For example, we had to time when walking her for fears of her jumping and biting a stranger. We would limit the amount of visitors that came over. And we could not have anyone else walk her because she did not listen to anyone but immediate family. She was good with family members but was not trustworthy around strangers/friends especially kids. Even with family she was at times unpredictable with her behavior. I work long 13 hr shifts and so does my fiancé and it was always so difficult to time when someone can walk her. We were only able to have my father or sister walk her midday since we couldn’t use services like dog day care, wags, etc.My family and I kind of lost some sort of hope until I found Angelo. She did the 8 week board and train. Angelo was able to turn my husky into a well behaved dog who we now enjoy walking amongst other things! I was always worried about sending her to boarding school because I had a misconception that her quirky personality would change and that she would no longer be Skye. She is still the same silly girl, happier than can be but we are able to control her A LOT better. I was also hesitant about ecollars because of the idea of what they actually do to the dog but my worry is long gone. The only downside to all of it was that she was gone from us for 8 weeks but my goodness was it worth it! We missed her so much but Angelo gave updates, pictures, and videos. She was also in boarding during her birthday and I was able to send her some birthday treats that Angelo gave her on her birthday since we couldn’t be there. The time went by quicker than expected and we had her back in no time and SOO much better! Even though Skye is now home with us, Angelo and I communicate about her progress and how she’s transitioning and doing at home. Even though the board and train is finished, he still is always available for questions and recommendations!I HIGHLY recommend Angelo for all your dog training needs!

My 80 pound redbone/bloodhound, Moises, was out of control with his excessive howling to his dog aggressiveness. Whenever I would walk Moises, he would lunge and bark at big dogs. He even knocked over my mother once. Moises also did not like our landscape workers and would try to attack them through the glass door. Moises was out of Control to the point of desperation. I knew something needed to be done. It’s been two weeks since Moises has come back from Angelo and he is a changed dog. He is quiet and well behaved. With the atHome techniques that Angelo showed me, we have him under control finally. I wouldRecommend Angelo to anyone who is struggling with their dog. He is very attentive and is will to help even after Moises left his care. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with his services. Highly recommend Angelo.

Angelo at the Art of K9 Dog Training is absolutely amazing and worked miracles on our very hyperactive 5 month old puppy. We are experienced dog owners, however, our puppy Simba was uncontrollable. He would terrorize our cats, could not walk on a leash, and had no boundaries. After four weeks of training, Simba is a dream dog. He follows commands, walks very well on a leash, and ignores our cats. Angelo has continued to check in with me to follow up with Simbas progress at home. I highly recommend this training!!

I moved to Dobbs Ferry area about 5 months ago. As a result of my job I needed someone who I could depend on and trust with walking my dogs for the days I was stuck late at work. I found “The Art of K-9“ and spoke with Angelo in regards to setting up a time for him to meet my two German Shepherds. I explained my concerns regarding my 8 year old shepherd who was NOT dog friendly and he assured me there would be no issues considering his extensive background dealing with dog aggression. After a bit I decided to try private lessons with Angelo after a few weeks to try to improve not only my anxiousness about encountering other dogs but to improve her mental state. I knew that I was part of the problem but I did not know how to fix it. In the first two lessons I was hesitant because I was afraid something bad would happen but I learned to really trust Angelo and his guidance (it was more me than him). He pushed not only me out of my comfort zone but Nadja as well. He taught me how to pick up on different indicators Nadja would display right before she would put on a full display of reactivity.I can’t tell you how amazing it was to be able to walk her one the lease without pulling as much as she did and to see the overall the improvement in her general obedience. We even got her to the point where I went to areas where I knew there were more dogs and we passed with maybe 1 or 2 minor issues!!! Every once in a while she will get a reaction with another dog over on me BUT that is because I did not catch the “tell” in time.I would definitely recommend Angelo as a dog walker and as a trainer!!! His work amazing with Nadja. BUT as the owner you have to put the time in outside of the lessons and continue with it. Doing it in lessons is not enough. The more I practice the drills with Nadja, the better she does overall and the less stress I have with her. There is a video of Nadja’s progression posted on his website if you are interested in seeing her transformation.

I highly commend The Art of K9, and the great job Angelo did with our Shepsky storm. We took her back in August 2017 when she was almost 6 months and a terror lol. I signed her up for his then 4 week Board and Train program. And the man worked miracles. I couldnt recognize her when we went to pick her up.Storm was very energetic and showed alot of Alpha Female tendencies she was very aggressive with other dogs and loved jumping on people. When we got her back all these bad habits were gone. Here we are May 2018 and Storm is still responding and behaving well to her commands. What also is great is the follow up sessions you get with Angelo. Its like when you take your car for a tune-up and Storm is right back to the way she is when we picked her up.So I can honestly say if it wasnt for Angelo we would have most likely given up Storm because of her behavior. But it all worked out.

We adopted our dog Puck from the Manhattan ACC about 4 years ago. A few months in she started exhibiting fear aggression towards both people and other dogs. We had a few actual bites and were at a loss over what to do. We started working with a trainer in Brooklyn while we lived in the city and when we moved out to Westchester reached out to a handful of trainers who claimed they worked with aggressive dogs all of which said they would not take on our case once we explained our situation. We then found Angelo- THANK GOD! He spent an hour on the phone with us learning about Pucky the very first call and we knew immediately that he was someone who was very passionate not only about his business but about dogs and their owners. He took her for a five week board and train where we saw dramatic results after. He taught her and us commands to meet people and other animals that have given Pucky a new lease on life and what we can do with her as far as interactions go. We have continued now with structured day care, boarding and private lessons over the last year. While we will never have the perfect dog she has come so far and has made us feel more comfortable expanding our family with twins arriving this Fall. He is always there to help us out with advice and is scheming up new ways to help her even when she is not in training with him. THANK YOU ANGELO for all that you do!

When we adopted our 5 month old Husky Suki, we were already his 3rd home and he had clearly not received the training or attention he needed. Bottom line was, we were in over our head and didnt know what more to do since positive reinforcement training wasnt doing it. Since working with Angelo, Suki is a completely different dog. He is calm and balanced, is more responsive, less anxious and stubborn and overall just seems like a more happy pup. The tools we learned with Angelo and the knowledge he provided were invaluable and will carry through for the rest of his life!

Our dog was having some behavioral issues, including reactivity and aggression toward other dogs and selective obedience. After she came home from her time with Angelo, she was a different dog! His work with her fixed the issues and allowed our family to develop an even more loving and affection relationship with her. He was extremely responsive whenever I had a question, both during and well after her time with him. He made sure we were very well prepared to continue with her training at home, and continues to be available for follow up questions and issues. 100% recommend - this was the best thing we have ever done for our dog!

Angelo is worth every penny. Our Golden doodle Mia went to him at around 1 years old. She was pulling hard on her leash and we were having trouble managing her at home. She spent 4 weeks at The Art of K9 and when we brought her home she was the same mush she always was, but she came home with skills. She no longer pulls when walking, or jumps in 360 circles when a dog passes by. She sits and waits patiently. When the door bell rings, she no longer howls at the front windows running around the living room and running for the open door. We place her in a spot and she waits there until the next command. Mia is the same sweet, silly, loving girl but she is incredibly behaved with boundaries that I think have made her an even happier dog. Not to mention we are happier too! Do not hesitate to hire Angelo. Best decision we made!

Cant say enough good things about Angelo. I rescued my guy a year ago, and he had serious leash pulling issues. Hed bark at other dogs and go nuts in stores. After boarding him for 4 weeks with Angelo, he came back a better version of himself. He walks right by my side now and is perfect when we go out. This was my first ever dog so it meant a lot to have a pro like Angelo guiding me along. Were both happy guys now!

Literally changed my pup for the better. Whiskey came there when she was about 6 months (she is a Hungarian Vizsla). Although she was a great addition to our house she had no real structure and had issues with leash pulling and listening to our commands. We tried other dog training methods and they did not really stick with her cause she was so stubborn. When we got here she literally changed within 1 class. Her walk was better, she was listening and paying attention to us and she got more confident in new situations. We only needed 5 classes!! I would say that if you really want to see an immediate long lasting change then it is definitely worth it to do.

About 8 months ago we adopted our Jazzy girl who had a pretty terrifying past. Prior to her training at The Art of K9 Jazzy would react to everything! It was really hard to take her on walks and we would even shy away from having people over because we didn’t know how she would react. We signed Jazzy up for a 6 week board and train and it was an awesome investment. Jazzy is a lot more disciplined and we can finally take her on walks without being anxious. Angelo did a great job at not only training Jazzy but with teaching me how to better control trigger situations as well.

The Art of K9 is wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a little or a lot of help with their dogs. I have two large dogs (2 year old golden retriever and 4 year old Old English Bulldog). They ruled the house until I sent them to Angelo at the Art of K9. Now they are so much more behaved and Angelo gave us the tools to make sure they stay that way.
