Emerald City Dog Spa

We have been taking our Bella for a Spa day, at Emerald City Dog Spa, for over a year. Michelle is wonderful with Bella. She always looks great, and comes home happy 💖

As a groomer of 35 plus years…. Bravo to Emerald City (whom I don’t know personally) for requiring a long haired dog to be groomed at LEAST every 3 months. She is in no way strong arming anyone nor is she making her life easier. As matter of fact exactly the opposite. It’s harder on the dog when they get matted. Ever debone a chicken? You have to pull at the skin to get the bone out. Shaving a matted dog is just like that. You need to pull at the skin to safely remove the unkept matted hair. Requires more time and technique. Not to mention stress on said pup. Tina Marie… you do your dog a disservice by not properly maintaining its coat. I suggest a corporate type groomer for your future appointments. Where they don’t care. Us mom and pop type shop loose sleep over dogs that are not properly cared for

I have been bringing my Morkie to Emerald City since he was a puppy. He’s 11 now. Eileen was amazing, I never had an issue. Now that she has retired and the new person has taken over there is always an issue. She tries to strong arm you into grooming your dog every 3 months because it’s harder for HER when they are long, that’s your job….Well life happens and I will not be forced to groom my dog on YOUR schedule. I would not recommend Emerald City anymore.

Michelle CARES and knows her stuff! Can’t recommend more! The welfare of the dog is the only thing that matters to her and she is great with all of them! Honest and caring are hard to come by these days and she is both! Not in it to just make a quick buck, wants both the owner and more importantly the dog to have positive grooming and boarding experiences. ALWAYS

Per past reviews the previous owner has retired and since owned by someone new, she is amazing with my dog who has serious dog & grooming anxieties as well as I know he takes very long to do. He is a double coated long haired 90lb German Shephard. He can be difficult, but the owner handled him with ease and was very patient with his overly dramatic antics. He has gotten so much better as it is a very stress free place. He is not kept in a kennel and has a large private room to roam by himself. Its also very inexpensive everywhere else I was paying 3 times as much! With the covid crisis its save me both on money & worry. I know hes in great hands! I highly recommend.

I have a pit bull so I dont bring my dog for grooming. However, I bring her to get her nails done. They are always free when I walk in without an appointment, the price is fair and they treat my pup with kindness.

Eileen is wonderful! She obviously has a passion for dogs and my dogs are very comfortable with her. She does a beautiful grooming job on them and theyre happy to stay with her. Im so comfortable with leaving my dogs with her that Im using her boarding services while were on vacation. More than satisfied!

My girlfriend brought her Pomeranian here, the groomer had groomed her a few months back. When she picked her up this time the dogs foot was wrapped up and they gave her a bag with a long claw and a piece of the dogs pad. The groomer said the nail had just fallen of but to me it looked like was cut very short along with the pad. My vet agrees. The dog has had to go to the vet a few times since and still isnt walking on her paw. We will no longer be bringing her here .

HORRIBLE! Over charges! Went there with my dog brushed him very good the night before so he didnt have any mats and she charged me an extra $20 saying he was matted when I know for a fact that he wasnt! Also when I went to pick him up all his nails on his front feet were bleeding! All she did was dab peroxide on them when I got there and he bled all over my car! Would never ever recommend this place

I am so happy to have found Michele! She not only fit us in, in a timely manner but our dogs cut looks amazing! I refer everyone I know to her as she cares for all the dogs as if they are her own.
