Attended Denali Dog Obedience School and was very happy to do so. My Boston Terrier was very stubborn . Once home we did all the things we learned from the class and worked every day with our puppy. Lo and behold he is now doing all the things we learned and much more including silent hand signals. He is a pleasure to bring out in public with his new skills.
I have taken five dogs over 25 years to Denali Dog Obedience School and am currently taking my sixth, a seven month old puppy. I have had nothing but best experience with their instructors, several of whom have been teaching since my very first class beginning. Instructors are kind yet firm with both dogs and their owners, reinforcing the techniques owners must learn to teach their dogs how to be good dogs. Classes are well organized, class size is appropriate for socializing dogs with other dogs in a supervised environment. Dogs learn how to attend to their owners even with the distraction of other dogs.In my opinion there is no better way to create a life long bond between owner and dog than obedience training and Denali Dog Obedience School is the best.
We brought our 10 month old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog for group training. The instructors were very knowledgeable about this breed and some of the challenges with training them. The primary instructor led the class with additional trainers stepping in to help the participants and their dogs. It was great! The training and classes were well organized. I would highly recommend using this group.
By far the best place to have your dogs trained. Very knowledgeable and experienced instructors offer help to everyone in the class and leave no one out. They stay late to answer questions and address all concerns and questions related to caring for your dog. Holistic approach to dog care that shows they put the health and well being of the animal above human convenience. Both my dogs have been to their lessons and I am highly satisfied with the outcome. Their training is based on the Volhard Motivational Method, which is based in the principle of positive reinforcement. This is the original version of this teaching method. They were trained by Jack Volhard himself! If you truly care about having a life long companion you can trust in any situation life can throw at you, take them to train at Denali.
Upon arrival my sister and I did not know what to expect for our two rescue puppies who are pit bull mixes. While filling out paperwork and explaining the reasons why we were there it was clear the trainer was biased against bully breeds. Her two dogs were gated in the same vicinity as our puppies and would not stop barking. This was fine, however, our final straw was when we felt she was insinuating the cause of the barking was because of our dogs. It was said twice, “they never do this, it must be your dogs.” Our puppies the entire time were clearly stressed, cowering, breathing heavily, and scared. The only time one of our puppies barked was because her dog barked and made a loud noise on the gate. As you can see, this is when we decided to leave. If you want a compassionate open minded trainer I would look elsewhere, especially if you own a pit bull-Who I would like to add are products of their environment and our two puppies wouldn’t hurt a soul.We are very disappointed and upset.
The beginner classes we attended were way over capacity! Our trainer was unfocused and unprepared. You would be better off watching YouTube videos. If I could give my experience zero stars I absolutely would. When my hyper pup was over excited they moved us to the front of the room where we were unable to participate in the activities being performed. After dealing with this nonsense for three classes I made my dissatisfaction known and requested a prorated refund. I was met with even worse customer service and was finally given back a partial refund which was far less than I was owed. This program was an absolute joke, save your money!
I have attended multiple Denali training courses with my dog and have attended other dog train schools within 80 miles; no training school compares with the Denali Obedience training pilosophy I am proud to say, my dog has attained STAR puppy, CGC, Trick dog and other rally titles.
I trained one of my newfoundlands here and enjoyed the experience. Very attentive instructors and they make sure you know what you are doing before you leave for the day. Exceptional experience for both myself and my Newfie❤️
We had an amazing experience with this training facility. They really helped me learn how to properly communicate with my dog. I would highly recommend this school.
Great building block approach, lots of praise and motivation. Instructors available to call if you need help between classes. Highly recommend this training program!
Wonderful doggy training classes - they are just the right size, will work with you - highly recommended
Uses a positive reinforcement approach to teaching owners and pets the set of signals and rules for positive behavior and routine. Taught at Orchard Kennels and works through anseries of weekly classes with daily home work. You build a foundation of progressions weekly and will routine discuss your instructions to success or deal with other home behaviors and how to correct. Have taken several pets through many levels of obedience.
Amazing passionate trainers. Worked really well for my dog when she was a puppy through one year. Highly recommended!
Erin is awesome!
