I can not say enough great things about our pups stay here at Creekside Resort. We were offered a day of daycare to get them used to the staff and place before we actually boarded them. I honestly think this helped to acclimate them to their boarding stay. Seeing as this was their first ever vacation away from home, Ill admit we were a bit nervous. I called and or emailed on the daily and they were very reassuring to me that they were doing well. When minor a issues arose, we talked about different ways to fix it. Never did I feel like a bother for checking in on them. They had playtime out together and were roomed right next to another as they are so bonded. We also were able to see daily photos of them on social media while they were there. There wasnt even a decompressing phase once we picked them up. It was like they never left home in the first place . I would 10/10 recommend them to anyone who is looking to board. The photo with this review was one they took and posted during their stay. Many many thanks to them for taking such amazing care of furry kids.

We adopted our chihuahua mix Rocky after he was found in a cousins avocado grove near San Diego - hed been living on his own for at least a month. He was independent, skittish, filled with anxiety, and within a few months of living with us broke his leg when he fell from a window sill. We couldnt leave him alone for fear that he would hurt himself even more. Melissa came to the rescue; we decided that a residency was best, and it was well worth it. Hes a transformed dog! Hes calm, confident, and pays attention to our commands and we couldnt be happier with his results. Thank you to Melissa and her excellent staff. Were all so much happier now! I highly recommend their services for training, daycare and boarding - its a happy place for dogs.

We have an older dog that we adopted a few years ago that had some behavioral issues. Weve taken him to see Melissa twice now.She is one of the most friendly, positive, compassionate, and knowledgeable people Ive ever met, and our boy enjoys going there even though we have to have him muzzled.Melissa is great at observing and then communicating what she sees in a way that allows us non-dog experts to learn and pick up on things that will help us in our training routines.I highly recommend coming here if your dog is in need of training of any sort.

Melissa, Cassandra and the staff are absolutely amazing! Every service is worth every penny. We have two rescue dogs a dachshund and mini golden doodle. We brought them for anxiety and barking. Melissa knows animals very well. Melissa observed a change in the dogs behavior at a session right after we had just found out our first baby. She asked if I had been ill or had any medical changes. Initially I said no as I hadn’t been ill. Melissa politely indicated that the dogs were acting very protective over me. We were so early in pregnancy we hadn’t told anyone except our immediate families. We shared our news with Melissa and we are so happy we did! We did several classes focusing on baby training! We got a doll for the dogs to practice. We discussed introductions and expectations. Both of our dogs are doing so well with the real baby! Our dogs are polite and wait to be invited up onto the furniture. The dogs are very careful when they are near their baby. They are so good with their baby brother! If you have general or specific behavioral concerns, contact Positive K9. If you want to socialize your dog(s) their daycare is phenomenal. Our dogs come home tired and happy. We also board our dogs at the Creekside Resort. We boarded them for a few days when our baby arrived. Our dogs came home happy, tired, and clean. The staff at Creekside are phenomenal. They love dogs and really understand them!

Cassandra trained our lab/pit mix who was so stubborn and wouldn’t listen to anything, he went to day training and came home a completely different dog. Within days he was leash free and living his best life! They are amazing and well worth the wait!

Melissa and her staff at Positive K-9 are absolutely outstanding!!! I have referred numerous clients to her as well , who have all been more than pleased with the training and facilities. I have had Melissa train 2 of my dogs and will ALWAYS have her train any future fur babies as well. Anyone who knows me , knows I’m over the top when it comes to my dogs and will bring them to only the best. She is the BEST and I’m beyond grateful to have found her years ago. My experiences with her boarding facilities and training have far exceeded my expectations. I feel very fortunate to have someone so incredibly knowledgeable, personable, communicative right here in my area and I can definitely attribute my dogs behavior and well mannered skills to her , Cassie and everyone there!

I can’t not say enough good things about this place and the owner Melissa. We had a unique situation and Melissa made it such a good experience for my dog who has severe separation anxiety. She has been more than willing to work with us and rocky to help with his behavior and anxiety. Both of her facilities are beautiful and a perfect environment for any dog. Her passion for dogs really shows and she is with out a doubt amazing at what she does. I highly recommend to anyone that is unsure of where to take there dog.

Couldn’t recommend Melissa and her team more! Amazing staff, and a great facility for training and boarding. We trained our dog there, he goes to daycare and we will be be letting him vacation there while we’re out of town.

I cant say enough good things about Josh and Katie, the two trainers that worked with our rescue Lucy. When we got her about 9 months ago she was a handful. She didnt like dogs, people or pretty much anything or anyone but us. She is 3 years old and came with her set of issues. After the 3 week residency with Positive K9 we have a new dog!! She actually wants to play with other dogs, and we are continuing to work on her people skills. I am so grateful for all they have done for her. Totally recommend this program to anyone that has a difficult dog. They are great!

Fantastic place and great trainers. I had a high anxiety mix breed dog and he was a handful to say the least. My wife and I heard about Positive K9 from our vet so we checked them out and gave them a try. We live almost 2.5 hours away from them but I will tell you it was the best thing I could have ever done for this dog. He is a 70 lbs Akita, Siberian Husky, Rottweiler, pit mix named Sox. Honestly, he is a bit intimidating when you see him. Well fast forward till now, I walk him everyday off his leash. We go to the field everyday and he chases toys and sticks and brings them right back to me. It was an absolute transformation and I am so thankful I did what I did. He brings me joy everyday and I can’t thank Positive K9 enough!

Melissa and Cassandra are magicians, I would recommend Positive K9 training to anyone. My wild chocolate lab (Remuse) is unrecognizable, no more destructive behavior, no outbursts, just an awesome loving, playful. Upon visiting the place myself, I also loved the location, its like a dog resort, its clean and welcoming, tons of flowers, clearly they took the time to put thought into every bit. We have another dog that were going to put in there for different reasons (weight and anxiety issues which they specialize in as well).

We have been blessed to have a BIG out of control Boxer-Bulldog mix male puppy since he was seven weeks old. He is now a year old. He is the most lovable dog in the world but has wild energy. We didnt take him for walks, he took us for walks. We are an energetic couple in our late 50s/early 60s, but we just couldnt control his pulling and craziness. One visit to Positive K-9 and 99% of our problems are no longer concerns. It was so noticeable that one of our neighbors who walks his dog at the same time we walk ours (and has always had to cross the street because our dog would go nuts and it was all we could do to hang on to him) commented that he couldnt believe the change the first time he saw us after our training session. After two nights, he is now walking with us. Our dog is so much happier and content now. We are in control, and our dog loves it! I cant wait for my next training! THANK YOU, JOSH.

Our rescue was living on the streets. She was pulling on the leash (and is 70 lbs). She also has a strong hunting instinct and will run after anything from chipmunks to deer. Melissa was amazing and helped us with training our puppy and keeping her safwy

I brought my dog in for training and they have done wonders for her and our family. We are able to take her for walks now. Something we couldnt do before. I definitely recommend Positive K9 for dog training. They have changed our lives and were only a couple sessions in there.

I would highly recommend Positive K9 to anyone who has a dog with behavioral problems. As I sit today watching my dogs play together, I think back to before I met Melissa and her head trainer, Kourtney. My older shepherd constantly attacked my younger shepherd. I worried for the life of my young dog. Numerous other trainers told me I either needed to euthanize the aggressive dog or keep them separated FOR LIFE! After a residency program at Positive K9 I had a new dog! I worked hard to keep up the training I received from Melissa and Kourtney and today the payoff is spectacular! If you have a dog with behavior problems that you want fixed (not just managed) call them! I am so glad I did!

Amazing! Melissa has perfected her craft. Teaches dog owners to train their dog in a way thats easy to take home and continue to work on, which makes her program successful. Clear direction taught in a stress free, beautiful environment.

Positive K9 changed our lives....literally! Our boy Enzo, a 9 month old German Shepherd, ran our household. BUT WE LOVED HIM! He didnt listen to us at all. He would bark at anything and everything, very reactive, and there was no stopping him! He kept us up all night half the time. Coming home with our 3 year old after a long day of work was a nightmare....chasing Enzo around to get him outside and keep him from eating things or knocking us over. Words cant explain. We werent ever going to give up on him though, that was never ever an option. Luckily, we got Enzo from a wonderful breeder and he has such a great temperament and is just a big baby. We tried other training (clicker/pure positive) with another trainer. Great place, great people, but it wasnt for Enzo. His behavior got worse. When I started researching other training methods I found Positive K9. I read the reviews and emailed them for some additional information about the Residency Program. We decided to set up an appointment to meet Melissa. Within the first 30 minutes she had Enzo standing at an open door next to her while other dogs and people were walking by.....and he wasnt losing his mind!! It was unbelievable. Melissa saw the same gentle big baby that we saw and assured us their program would work. Enzo left us for 2.5 weeks to work with Josh. JOSH IS AMAZING! I dont know what kind of magic he worked with Enzo during those 2 1/2 weeks, but he came back a different dog. Josh taught us everything we needed to know to continue his training at home during our discharge appointment. Enzo was the same fun loving puppy but he was BEHAVED! I cant thank Josh and positive K9 enough for giving us the awesome family member that we always wanted. I tell anyone who will listen how amazing this place is. We continue to take Enzo to the Lodge for daycare about once a week (something that would NEVER have been possible before his training because he was so reactive.....he didnt know how to interact with other dogs). I look forward to a follow up appointment with Josh soon to fine tune some skills he taught Enzo. This is a wonderful place that you can rest assured your dog is being well taken care of. Please, if you are at your wits end; meet Melissa and her team. You will NOT regret it!

Words can not describe the quality of training and care, Melissa & her staff have. No gimmicks or fad trends used - just soild training theories and amazing talent. Their patience when working with parents is remarkable!

Poor communication, disorganized. Gave me the wrong time for a training class and the wrong location, so I ended up driving all over Walworth before arriving to the wrong class. The next weekend, when I came out for a tour of the boarding facility, the woman spoke down to me and was generally rude. I called asking to speak to a manager about my experience, but no one ever called me back. And when I asked for a refund of what I had pre-paid for a 1:1 training session, it took them more than a full month to process the refund...Not impressed.

Melissa is a great teacher for both dogs and their people, and everyone working there is very friendly and supportive.

The best care and support not only for my four-legger fur-babe, for me, too, to learn how best to be a good Mom and allow my lilone to get back enjoying being a dog, too. No more snarls and unfriendly behavior to other dogs, she is now playing and able to be in a bigger, diverse group of friends (while socially distancing with her mask on!). We have both been trained very well. Thank you for helping me get my confidence back and create a fuller life with my bestest friend by my side!

Very poor communication and customer service. I signed up for a training class for my puppy, but was given the wrong time and not given the right address (they have 3 locations) so after driving all around Walworth looking for the right location, we arrived only to find out it was an advanced skills class, not for puppies. I had scheduled a tour of the boarding facility this weekend so I still went out there to check it out, but the woman giving the tour spoke down to me and seemed annoyed when I asked simple questions. Beyond this, I paid in advance for a 1:1 training I ended up cancelling several weeks ago when I found out about the group class, but still havent received a refund of the $150 despite emailing several times to request it. I called to ask to speak with the owner or manager to talk about the frustrating experience Id had, but no one called me back. They may be great with dogs, but their poor customer service and organizational disarray are a huge barrier to working with them.

This place change our lives our dog was abused and if it wasnt for this place we would have had to get rid of him Amazing place
