Fido Fitness Club

My baby seems to enjoy coming here and I enjoy bringing her here. I have been bringing my dog here for years now and I trust these people with her. Everytime I pick her up she looks fabulous and fresh, I recommend this place and the blueberry facials for our furry children. Great staff and super friendly.

We love Fido Fitness/Barrie Inn. I have left my high energy German Shepherd for both day care and boarding. Leo is a pandemic puppy who has grown up to be nervous and very wary of strangers. I am so grateful to Ellen and Evelyn, Dez, David, Chase and all those who have been so patient with Leo and given him a lot of love. I am so grateful to have a source of help to watch Leo when needed and keep him busy physically and mentally, but especially that knows and is trained to handle all dogs and personalities. The daycare/boarding industry is booming but its a great feeling when you find a trustworthy group of people who love dogs and will keep them safe. Pricing is very reasonable considering someone is taking care of your family member. Its honestly a great set up, so convenient for drop off/pick up. And Leo has made friends! Thank you Fido team :)

We visit the area every summer and searched for a place that is comparable to where our dog goes in Florida. This is bybfar the best managed of all the facilities we tried in the area and their groomng is exceptional. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a quality day camp for your pooch.

My dogs love love Fido Fitness Club. They come home exhausted from a full day of playing. Plenty of pictures of them are always posted and they look thrilled. I really appreciate the fact that the staff are in the areas with the dogs. I was allowed to stay one day with my baby, Baxter, because hes a little fear aggressive - so I worked for an over an hour there. Its hard work. I am grateful that they know and appreciate Baxters personality and now hes doing better than ever. Desiree and Ruth are great with my pups. Kudos to the entire staff!!!

I came into Fido Fitness from a grooming recommendation & ended up leaving my 12 week old puppy with David for their two week kickstarter program. The BEST money I ever spent. My family recently grew by 2 puppies. I ended up asking for assessment on them to help guide our family. My one puppy had severe anxiety. Could not walk in the street fear from anything passing him. The transformation on my puppy is unbelievable. The relationship between David, Ellen & my Charlie was so telling of how dedicated they are to their job. The love and care for my Charlie made my heart so happy. I wish I could give them 100000 stars.

My corgi Charlie has been coming here since about he was 6 months, he is now 10 months. I’m so glad they offer a pet taxi service for pick up and drop off. Everyone there is really wonderful. I feel safe leaving him in their care. He has a lot of energy and is a very social pup, he absolutely loves going!!! He comes home exhausted which is really nice since he is a high energy working dog breed. Today he got picked up and didn’t even say bye to me cause he was so excited to go 😂 they have an Instagram that is really cool to see what the pups are up too. I look forward to seeing more photos of Charlie on their Instagram!! I can honestly say I recommend Fido to all my friends who have pups.

I just want to say this is probably one of the best doggie day cares around! My little Gretchen LOVES coming here. The staff are amazing and sweet. There has been nothing bad about my dogs experience so far. She also stayed their for their boarding services. Its relieving to know my dog gets to actually play and run around than having to worry how long shes going to be in a kennel cage.The only reason for the 4 stars is that I wish I get to see my dog more on their Instagram page just to get an update on how shes doing. Theres no real daily or visit updates on the dogs posted. It would be a cute idea to have them send us updates or post on their IG page on all the dogs and friends.

Honestly so grateful the universe led me to this club! My puppy cannot wait to get inside and play with his friends. The staff is responsive, accommodating, welcoming, positive and always super helpful. I’ve been coming for about six months and he absolutely loves it. Cannot comment on boarding as I have not used this service yet.

Great play time for any season since its indoors. Staff is wonderful!! Big and small dog play areas. Supervised. You can stay and play with your dog. If there are any behavior issues, they are dealt with immediately unlike many other parks that rely solely on owners being responsible to keep their pets behavior in check. Great release for high energy dogs like ours.

FIDO Fitness Club is simply amazing. Not only were they able to accommodate our 3 dogs for an extended period of time(2 weeks) but it was also on a very short notice after a 12 hour international flight and 3-4 hours of traffic in route to Long Island causing us to miss our appointment with another kennel that closed at 7pm and could not wait for us to arrive(FIDO closes at 9pm). The owner of Michelle(i think) personally ensured that staff was available to meet us on such a short notice. The staff was also extremely helpful and great with our pets(especially Linda), we could not have asked for a better situation for our pets, as we made our move to Long Island and started a search for a place to live. Our pets simply loved it there and we plan on using FIDOs exclusively in the future.

Fido fitness club is a God send for my bulldog. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about all dogs, they put your mind at ease when you leave your loved one. I cant be more thankful for this place and I highly recommend Fido fitness for anyone who wants their dog to be happy.

My dog Lily has been spending time at Fido Fitness/Barrie Inn since August 2015. She is very happy there and always gets excited when we arrive. The staff is very loving and attentive and I dont worry about her being there.

Our Irish Setter, Ryder, loves, loves, loves Fido Fitness! It is a wonderful, safe place for him to run and play with his canine friends. Thank you FFC and staff for being there for Ryder.

Edit to add: i spoke with the owner regarding this incident. I was told the employee was walking his dog and not a clients. The owner did not seem alarmed or concerned. I’m sorry, if a daycare employee was seen kicking their own child, would the daycare be ok with it since it wasn’t someone else’s? The employee and business stands by 5-6 kicks is appropriate discipline, so be careful if you use them as a trainer. I have yet to find any evidence by credible sources where 5-6 kicks is acceptable. Also, more people have come out and discussed they’ve witnessed this same employee do the same thing other times. In a local Facebook group, he identified himself and instead of explaining himself from a “professional” (using that very loosely) standpoint, he was verbally harassing people. The post has been deleted, but I have screenshots and so do 4 other members. If this is the type of behavior that Fido accepts from its employees (head trainer no less), then i question them as a business.STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTSFirst, I live close by in Woodmere across the train tracks.August 7 2020, I witnessed someone wearing a Fido Fitness staff t shirt walking a few dogs. He proceeded to KICK THE DOG repeatedly 5 or 6 times. Why? The dog barked. A friend of mine has been bringing her dog here for years and her dog remains aggressive. Explains a lot. I also know 1 person who’s dog was returned with scratches, bites, swollen eye and matted fur. It was also locked in a utility closet.If youve had experiences like this please speak up. This place needs to be held accountable.

Extremely disappointed, hurt, and upset! I brought my husky for a trim and made sure to use photos as reference on how Id like for it to look based on his previous haircut. Was told it could be done and even when I dropped him off the day of I asked if they needed to see the pictures again and only got an attitude in return and was told yes, we know. Only to pick up my son later and see just how they butchered his fur. His coat is down to the skin! After demanding to speak to the owner which happened to be who butchered his fur all I get is Im trying to apologize. The comb I was using wasnt going thru and so I went just one size down. Its hair. Itll go grow back when I asked why, if she was having trouble she didnt just call and say it couldnt be done. Rather, than just cutting the way she did and like nothing tying a bandana around his neck as if proud of her work! I received no answer. At first being told I can have $10 off the price agreed on. And later saying ok, you dont have to pay. If you care at all about your pet dont bring them. You have a better chance at cutting it better yourself. My dog isnt just a dog to me. Hes my fur baby/son and I feel simply heartbroken in seeing what he looks like right now, in having trusted someone only to then butcher his fur and leave him looking like a clown. You just dont do that. They have feelings too!

Im a member and dont know what I would do without these guys. My Vizsla is the happiest pup in the whole world- three days a week our dog gets picked up by the FFC van and goes to school. We pay less for doggie daycare here than we did to have a dog walker come to the house. The staff/owners go out to their way to please and they also have the best hours- 7 days a week, and open late!When I am not using their pickup/drop-off service, I would drop our pooch off. Its so easy to commute since the dog park is located at the LIRR and they offer free parking!I cant say enough about Fido Fitness. They really care and offer lots of programs and educational classes for your best friend. They also carry Lifes Abundance, the best dog food around! And they have the best prices on their dog food. I save $ buying it at FFC then if I were to buy it at the Vet.If you are thinking about daycare or boarding... or just looking for a place to socialize your dog at their dog park... GO GO GO! We got a great community of people and dogs alike that would love to meet you!

This place is one of a kind. Starts from Owners-staff. They are very supportive. They treat their clients like their own pet. My Dog Damien loves this place, for bathing, daycare, dog park.

Winston looks forward to his seeing all his friends at Fido Fitness.Hes so excited to be there and my husband and I are so excitedfor him to be able to run for hours. Hes such a happy dog now.Thank you Fido Fitness.

45$ for a membership thats not clear on website. On website says 20$ for a day for doggy fun but when you come all the way there its 45$ for membership that you apparently need to have one day in their “dog park”. Not nice people. No help when I got there. Just terrible service. Not recomended to anyone!!!!

My dog loves this place. When I pick him up he’s exhausted and I love that. He even knows the name Fido and when I say it he gets all happy to go!

The best place for grooming in the area.... I havent boarded my dog but they always look happy!!!!

Just came back from my first workout, I was very impressed with how clean the facility was & how friendly the staff was.

The place smelled alot bad odor and place looked disorganized need to upgrade their facility but the trainer was very friendly and nice Id say which was positive and answered all my questions.

This is a wonderful place for dogs. You can leave your dog for playtime with complete confidence. The staff is caring and conscientious. Dogs are excited and happy when they are dropped off. Its a great experience for dogs and their parents.

I love this place. My 12 year has grown up to be such a fabulous dog, thanks to the socialization he had been exposed to at Fido Fitness Club, and the excellent training classes.I have moved away and wish there was a place like this where I live now. When I’m back in town, rather than board my dogs where I live, I bring my dogs - I’ve adopted 2 more dogs - so they can experience Fido Fitness Club to get a good day of running and playing and socializing with other dogs.A tired dog is a happy dog!The staff is beyond fabulous!
