Loyalty means nothing to this family business.I missed a grooming appointment because of an emergency (why else would someone miss an appointment that they confirmed three times for?)When I called back to reschedule, I hear the groomer yell in the back with the nastiest attitude Shell have to wait EIGHT WEEKS for her next appointment!The kind man on the phone was smart enough to instantly put me on hold. He gets back on saying oh its going to be tough to get an appointment blah blah blah to which I respond listen if Im going to have to wait weeks and weeks then forget it.He says hell call back, okay.They called me the *next day* which just tells me they waited until the offended groomer was gone and asked the other one who worked the next day who said yes. Too late.I really trusted you guys and liked all the people who worked there and this whole interaction was really unfortunate, but if you treat people disrespectfully there will be something said.So congratulations to that nasty groomer - you just lost a customer that came about every 3 weeks, tipped 20% every single time (even though she would cut corners and not do a good job in general but I overlooked it because I understand being overworked) and never missed an appointment until this literal emergency.And lastly @TheBarrieInn please do not respond I literally dont care about what you have to say lol

My mini-poodle Brandy has been a customer of The Barrie Inn since she was 5 months old. She is now almost 12. My Dog absolutely loves going & this great place has the BEST for boarding & grooming. I have tried a few other places to save money but nothing compares to the Great Owners & Staff!

I use to come here but loyal customers with multiple dogs don’t mean anything to them! Early appointments don’t mean anything either first appointments and I was still getting my dogs after 3pm! The price always changed every visit! I go to Bones,Bath , and beyond now ! They’re awesome.. always have appointments, do a great job , and give my dog back in an hour and a half ! I’m a 3 strikes and you’re out kind of person!

I had a trip planned prior to getting my Jack a 6 month old medium golden doodle. A lady I met in my doctors office recommended the barrie inn for training and the fido fitness club. While looking into that they mentioned they do boarding. Just picked my Jack up from his own vacation. He is pooped out from all the play and fun. They followed my feeding regimen including his special breakfast apple and learned all his quirkiness. I highly recommend the barrie inn to anyone who wants a place that loves and cares for their babies

Called to make an appointment for my dog. At first seemed nice. Then when they told me they don’t have anything available. I asked if they can give her a bath? They told me Friday at 10am. The women on the phone asked me for her name. As I gave her my dogs name I mentioned “ she’s been there before”. When she looked up my dogs name she started interrogating me why I haven’t been there over a year. She seemed so mad that I wasn’t there overly a year and told me ya I’m sorry we don’t have anything available.What changed? You had no idea who I was and was able to give me a time and day when she can come. To then tell me there is no availability. She was yelling at me and being rude.After the response I have just gotten that they are not available for another 3-6weeks. I have been told that if I bring my dog in next week she can be seen. I have brought a lot of business to this place for many years. It’s hard to have a conversation with someone yelling at you.I have been to many dog places. And this one I know I won’t be coming back anymore.I tried to be calm. And asked her why she is doing this? And she said bye and hung up.I have been there before with many dogs. If that is how you treat a paying customer then it’s fine I won’t come anymore. Just disgusting how you treat people over the phone.

Desiree, Chase, Marc and the team took such great care of my puppy. He stayed at the Inn for four days and made lots of new friends. I highly recommend the Barrie Inn and will definitely take Duke Ellington there again.

Amazing pet hotel. Its a 5 star retreat for our fur babies. The groomers also are outstanding. Very flexible, understanding. The facility is inpeccably clean always. You can see your babies from TV cameras within the entryway. And the price is just right. Yeshuah loves you and your soul is priceless!

Love this place and everyone who works here! The team here is fantastic and have been a life saver for our family surviving two puppies at once. Now 7 yrs old and still loving every visit. I cant say enough about The Barrie Inn. I have been using them over the years for grooming of my 5 standard poodles and little coton de tulear and always been very happy with the results. I loved them for grooming but I never needed them for anything else. Then my circumstances changed and I needed to board my immune compromised 2 year old poodle. This dog had been left once before with someone who boarded in her home and he was gravely ill when I picked him up. I was very concerned about my fragile dog and how he would do being left again. My vet recommended speaking to Ellen, one of the owners of The Barrie Inn. Ellen was superb! She listened sympathetically to my fears and promised she and her staff would pay very close attention to my dogs physical as well as emotional needs. She told me to call as often as I needed and she and her staff sent me pictures and videos to ease my mind. I came home to a healthy, happy dog. The Barrie Inn was truly a life saver!

I love this place! I’ve taken my dogs here for YEARS to get groomed. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and my dogs always come out happy, clean and fresh! I’ve recommended many friends to the Barrie inn and I’ve never heard a complaint! I will continue to take my fur babies to the Barrie inn and I highly recommend you do the same!

What a great staff. We boarded our two dogs there for 5 days. There are amazing people working there. We got daily updates when we wanted them. We were sent videos of them playing and interacting with the other dogs. Will definitely board them here again! And a special thanks to Desiree.

I have been using their grooming service for around 1 yr now and I love it. Maria (the groomer) does an excellent job and my dog looks beautiful and like a real Schnauzer. I have a miniature Schnauzer and now he looks like the real deal (well defined face with a nice beard, mustache, legs, body, etc). He receives constant compliments on the street. I didn’t use any other services there yet, but I would not hesitate if I would need it, all the stuff is very nice, dogs are well take care of and they look very happy.

Very happy with our first grooming experience! We have a growing german shepherd puppy and hes getting stronger and hates baths so not an easy combination. I was planning on a mobile groomer but got an appointment 3 weeks out and the stinkiness was just too much. I called Barrie Inn and they have been very busy but were so nice and accommodated us the same day. Ill admit, I was a little nervous, not so much because of the employees of the Barrie Inn but because I know our little guy can be a handful. When we arrived I called and a very nice girl came out and gave him time to sniff her and then brought him in (pretty much like curbside service). I appreciate measures are being taken to keep everyone safe. In about an hour I got a message that our boy was ready for pickup, he came out and looked SO handsome and clean. He smelled great, had the cutest little bandana. His big boy coat is growing and there has been very little to no shedding, its great. We will definitely continue grooming at Barrie Inn and hoping to use their other services :) thanks so much!!

Huge thank you to the Barrie Inn, for taking such good care of our Kasper. We normally leave him with Family, but it was not possible this year. Leading up to our trip we brought him in every Sunday for daycare, just to see if it was a good fit. After meeting the staff and getting to know the facility, we knew he was going to be in great hands. One of our highlight on our trip, was being able to see the pictures they posted of him playing. We also had him groomed before being picked up. We ❤️ the Barrie inn and will continue to bring Kasper there on Sundays and use them when we go out of town. We think Kasper even made some new doggie friends during his week away and we know he can’t wait to go back and play with them all.

Wonderful staff, wonderful service. We could not praise this fantastic doggy day care any more than our words allow us. This place is just happiness for dog owners as well as our five dogs who gave been attending the school five days a week for the past three-four years. Highly recommendable. Five stars is not enough!

I was very reluctant to bring my dog here because Im extremely particular as to whose care I leave him in. I was previously boarding him at his vet, but they kept him in a cage and the day I went to pick him up, I could tell that they had not taken him out to use the bathroom for the entire day. I went to Barrie in for an interview, where they let him socialize. I was able to watch on a tv screen. I saw he was happy, they saw he is sociable, so I left him for two weeks while I traveled overseas. I live that I was able to call and check on him while I was away. They also posted him on Facebook several times. They bathed him for me, so that hed be nice and fresh when I picked him up. Finally, when I went to get him, my dog was so anxious to play with his friends, he ran right past me as if he forgot about me! Thats when I knew he was happy. When I needed to leave him again for work, the young lady who answered the phone was so excited I was bringing him back and told me how much they love him. Thats when I KNEW he is in good hands! I am actually thinking about taking him in once a week for daycare, so that he can socialize more.

Personally my first time taking my dog to a grooming facility . I give thanks and appreciation to Ellen . She was very understanding of my complicated wants in my pups haircut. He came out looking handsome as ever . Very caring and understanding customer service.

They know my dog and they are so good at showing me how much they care for him. Hes always so excited to return and is pooped when I pick him up. They also make sure to wipe him down before I get him back.I especially appreciate that they take the dogs outside for walks - even if they do their business inside.

Boarded both my dogs there for a week. They had a great time & I knew they were well taken care of. They came home happy, healthy, clean & exhausted from their fun filled days at The Barrie Inn.

Brought Brody, our giant golden doodle in today after his not being groomed through entire pandemic. Been using Barrie inn for well over 10 years. The job they did was exceptional, as always, but he was in dire need today and he came back a “new” dog!

When you bring your pet here, u feel like you’re dropping your child off at grandmas house.Amazing care, amazing expertise, and a staff that goes above and beyond every single day.The only reason I feel comfortable going away as much as I do, is because of The Barrie Inn 🥰

The people here are always friendly and kind. They take great care of my older dog and I never worry about him when he’s there either for boarding or grooming.

At Barrie Inn, they treat my two dogs Max & Scoobie like family. Everyone there is so pleasant and you can see that they LOVE dogs.

Great place to leave your pets for a few days if you have to travel, great staff, we leave our 7 year old pomeranian a couple of times while on vacation and the grooming service is very good and decent prices

They groom my Himalayan cat every year. They are so patient and caring for my cat. It very hard to find cat groomers and they remember her every time we come in and did I mention that they are so fast and efficient. I hope they stay around for a long time.

I feel very safe leaving my pup Silu here. The staff love dogs and it shows.

I was actually only going to give one star, but the grooming was ok. If you plan on taking your pooch here, take a deep breath before you walk in. It smells so bad and when I asked the lady behind the desk if she realized how bad it smelled, she replied that thats what you get with dogs. I completely agree, but thats when you need to sanitize, disinfect and CLEAN your facility from top to bottom. I can still smell the dog pee stench!

I stood there for 15 minutes while the woman walked around on the phone with a friend. Showed zero interest in my dog. If you have a Pomeranian do not bring it here. They know nothing about the breed. They assured me there was no way to remove knots other than shaving her. They destroyed her coat and it was matted for weeks after. Canine Couture in Bellmore is much cheaper and they give you very personal and detailed care. Excellent with Pomeranians.
