Petco Grooming

When I picked up my dog the women who did his grooming spent a good 5-8 minutes questioning me about how I care for my dog. Including asking me when was the last time I took him to the vet, what kind of food he eats, how much do I feed him. Telling me that for his breed he’s too small. She didn’t Know what kind of dog he is and assumed he was a Great Pyrenees, when he’s an English cream golden retriever. She insinuated that he had parasites or wasn’t being fed properly. I will never take my dog back to Petco in Auburn NY…The store manager called me personally to apologize and tell me that he would use this opportunity to further train and educate the groomer on how to properly interact with customers. I appreciate how he handled the situation and felt he did so with a high level of professionalism. While I won’t return to have my dog groomed by the same woman, I will have him groomed by others at Petco.

Sam was wonderful with my dog. He was so gentle and caring. He did a great job trimming and buffing his nails. My dog is a Shiba Inu., .2 yrs old and can sometimes be a handful. Sam was very professional and commented how chill Jovi was, everything a dog parentwants to here!

Sam was incredible and did an amazing job with our soon to be 14 year old Shiba Inu mix LunaBlue!!! I was a bit concerned about her acl surgery a few months ago and if it would interfere but Sam took his time and was patient and gentle with her. She looks younger, haha but truly lost about 5lbs of hair!!! Thanks so very much Sam!!!!

Courtney did a fantastic job on my rescue dog. It was his first spa, and courtney bonded great with Brody! When he was all done with his groom, he looked so good that it made me cry!! Thank you again Courtney for taking such good care of my Brody!!! We will be back soon 😊

I own a Pomeranian with a heavy show coat. Christina trimmed and pulled out the undercoat exactly how its supposed to be done. My dogs coat is fabulous. Her nails were cut perfectly, her paws were conditioned, and her fanny was also perfectly done...bravo !!!

Christina was very friendly and did a great job on our pet pookie. She was very professiohnal and prompt contacting us when our pup was completed. She also did a great job and did a great grooming job. Thanks will hopefully have her be our regular groomer

Cassandra was so good with Mazy, Mazy was a little scared when we got there and she comforted her and made Mazy a lot happier. When I came to pick her up she smelled and looked real good and you could tell that she was at ease with Cassandra. I am very happy with my recent and past grooming experience with petco grooming I will keep bringing my Mazy there and recommend them to my family and friends.

I have been taking mazy to petco for grooming for a while now and having always been satisfied with the service and the way mazy smells and she is so soft and happy after each visit shes such a diva my mazy. Staff is always so kind and pleasant and always good with me and mazy and thats a real plus because that one of the most important things to me is how my mazy is being treated. Its just been so far a great experience for both me and mazy she not stressed to go to the groomers. All the girls says shes real good for them 👏 and easy to do so that makes me pretty stress free as well. Thank you petco.

As always, the grooming area was immaculate & the staff was very kind, caring & reassuring with my fur baby. They did a wonderful job on Lily’s nails with the least amount of stress.

I was very pleased with Roseys first grooming experience. She looked very good when I picked her up. Cassie did a great job.

Everyone was very nice and explained everything they were going to do and how well my dog behaved. By the way, the price for what they did was great. I have received a lot of compliments on how my dog smells and looks.

My dogs nails were terrible they got them so perfect and actually cut bathed my pika beautiful !

The Petco here is so reliable when it comes to grooming unlike some of their branches from different towns. Always love bringing my dog here for a touch-up!

Getting my dog groomed here is fast and easy,they take good care of Jax.

This is my second experience here and on both occasions I was told the dog would be ready within a hour to an hour and a half on the latest visit I came back 2 hours later she still wasnt done they told me to come back in about another 30 minutes so I went and got my groceries at Walmart while there about a half hour later I got my phone call that the dog was ready so on top of the standing around waiting at Petco for 20 minutes I lost a considerable amount of time better estimations and planning is needed in this department they do a good job but not on managing the situations that come up in their work with time.

Staff is friendly, warm, and welcoming to our dog. Although she goes in reluctant and nervous, she relaxes quickly once shes back with her groomer. Her nails are always done just the right length, and buffed so they arent likely to accidentally scratch us. And she comes home smelling good.

I had not been to Petco for grooming before, it was positive. Staff were friendly,were done in the time frame they provided. My dog is 11 and has very little experience with groomers he seemed comfortable when I picked him up. I will go there again.
