Great place to shop for all your pets needs. The staff is very friendly helpful and very knowledgeable.

I like this store. I will say its a bit on the pricey side, but what I appreciate about Creature Comforts the stuff they sell seems to be pretty good quality. I will say I really only looked at the dog stuff, but even on the budget end of their inventory, treats, food, collars, toys, beds, etc. it wasnt junk like some of the chain pet supplies places will sell you. Definitely glad to have this store in town.

I went in today needing a few things for my tank. My 18 month old was NOT having any part in it. The man who helped me today, Audrey, was fantastic. Seeing the struggle that ensued throughout the store with my daughter he helped me get what I needed (along with providing excellent education on a pet I got at a competitors store). This man went as far as to even helped me out to my car. Thank you Audrey.

Has a good selection for pups. Took my foster dog for a jacket bc of the snow. One of the workers who has experience with rescues found a cozy coat for him that fit on the 1st try and a collar that was comfortable for him. Turns out my pup has expensive taste with the fish treats.So helpful and a good selection.

Care has improved in recent years but still isnt great. Since this isnt a big box store, I cant excuse animal abuse. Bettas sick and dying in cups, overcrowded or too-small tanks with frequent dead fish left in them. Shrimp tank full of predatory planaria worms. Its very sad in that regard. They dont stock a lot of the things necessary for proper fish care. But their selection of plants is really good.

We bought four gorgeous healthy corn snakes from creature comforts three months ago. Creature comforts employees are always helpful, insightful and supportive whenever we’ve had problems or questions. Today Anthony and two other employees helped me retrieve my snake and went above and beyond! I brought my 40 gallon tank into the store because my itty bitty corn snake found an itty bitty crevice within the tank and has been camping out there for the last three weeks. They helped problem solve how to get her out and together we were able to retrieve her. They even caulked up the area so she’s not able to do it again. I cannot express how relieved I am and how thankful I am for their willingness to help. It’s certainly a comfort to know as a pet owner we can ask them anything.

I love this store so much. Its so much fun to take my little girl there with my family and enjoy a nice aquarium in the southern tier. It is a store but the way its set up is that you can take your little ones there. Super fun activity in the winter time.

We went Creature Comforts to get a few fish for my youngest son. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us pick out the best fish for the setup that we have. They also made sure we had everything we needed to set up the tank and take care of the fish. Great locally owned pet store.

Lots of knowledgeable staff. A great variety of pet supplies. They have a pet food program where you buy so many bags of dog food they give you some kind of discount.A new sign was just installed outside. The small parking lot can get tricky to maneuver on weekends and after 4 pm.

Not Certain who enjoys patronizing this exceptionally amazing establishment, me or LiL F-Stik JR.... Hes my pup n Best friend as I swore if never get any other animals due to the heart breaking time I went through w my last pack almost 10 yrs ago passing . But here I am visiting Creature Comfort at least 3 times a week on a slow week and seemingly paying more for this Dog to be satisfied than I did to put The youngins through school. Rather it be a quality bone 🦴 Bigger than my forearm w Knuckles on the end or simple raw Hyde or boxed mini milk bone type this is the place. Along w all other per supplies and the top of the line dog food which Ive been relying on them for about 22 yrs off and on this is ur place. They allow you to bring your pets in the store and they also have a broad selection of animals in need of forever homes. F-Sticks favorite aspect Id say aside from the delicious feast he thoroughly enjoys each time we go in there but more so later when we arrive back home.... Friendly staff and decent prices, anything I may pay a bit more for is made up for by my lack of commuting to vestal...... So I mean if u are in the area stop in n check em out..... Even if u dont have any pets, that could easily change as soon as u meet their selection. (Esp if u bring ur kids😉) I almost forgot they host vaccination clinics every now and then as well as carry most home remedy and commercial needs when speaking about animal medical goods and vaccines.

Went in here Christmas eve day, was greeted promptly, taken to the area of interest and was shown various products,,very pleasant experience.

Literally some of the worst care taking I have seen outside of chains. (Especially the axolotls and plecos). They need to start learning how to tend their animals. Especially fish and reptiles/amphibians. (And cleaning their tanks. So much intrusive algae and dead fish). Employees seem to genuinely not know what theyre talking about. Proper education would definitely be encouraged. But at least they dont sell puppies. Slightly more decent care of the mammal and avian animals.

Im 76 years young now. And somehow surviving nearly 8 decades and KNOWING more than yesterday every morning is a freaking great day to live and if today is the day to find both feet in Doggie Heaven or Birdie Heaven or Deep Blue Sea Fishy Heaven, or Kitty Heaven or in Hell with ALL my friends all I can say is what a trip and a half getting there! And if I could Id do it 100 million incarnations more just to play with my childhoods best friend Princess who my mom and 8 brothers and sisters had to agonizingly put down while I was off being a Freshman in college.And to watch my first pet Timmy, a blue parakeet I got for my 5th birthday day continue flying all over Eden and who my poor already overworked mom almost everyday except for about 4 or 2 cleaned the bottom of his cahe. Changed his water and food until one horrible morning I found Timmy laying on the bottom of his cage only for my 5 year old brother to convince me beyond all reason that Timmy was sleeping until my mom came downstairs and tried as best and as kindly as she could that Timmy was in Birdie Heaven and that it was going to be longer than a few years before I would be seeing him again. And I cried and cried until we buried him and I said, See ya soon Timmy.Over the many many many decades and years I have had 100s of pets from tiny little mice to a white rat to countless fresh water fishes all named Oscar and a couple of getting older parakeets who died within a few days of each other to stray cats with kittens and stray dogs and who I learned before I even had them that if they got sick or hurt or ran away or died it wasnt who I bought them from fault it was because I screwed up big time.On the other hand you can always pray to St Frances or St Jude to do something about Ick and all the variants of COVID and all the curious forms of hideous mutations in Nature and worse caused by the trillion dollar International Military Industrial Banking Empire bottomless budget stolen from the bottom 98.76899879%. But seriously if thats the will of a God of Unbearable Love I swear Im going to lead Satanic Lucifer and all the bad angels to break into Paradise from the backdoor just so anyone who wants EXCEPT for the divine ass kisses to kick all the Divine Ass we feel like.Cause the stars whispered to me 100 years ago or a 100 years from now that that is exactly what Venus, Cupid, Mars and Gia are PRAYING we will ALL do! Or something! Anything like that!

Its one of the few pet stores left, always have the stuff you need, can be expensive, but not unreasonable. Im pretty sure they have stuff for every budget, but dog food has become really expensive.

The store with the most pet choices in the area. I especially love the aqua zone!

Absolutely satisfied with my service here. We got two rats, but as first time rat owners, we were apprehensive about exactly what to get. The staff was lovely and more than helpful in making sure we got exactly the right cage, food, bedding, and toys.

Lots of aquarium Fish, snakes & Rodents.Good selection of goods. A little expensive. Has that down home kind of feel. Staff are super friendly.Able to get healthy wet food + snacks. Definitely visit agian.

I got my pet snake from Creature comforts, and I am very pleasantly satisfied with how they have been with their customer service! Especially during the whole COVID pandemic, the employees are very nice, and willing to help out in any way they can. I started out with a 10 gallon tank for my pet, and after almost a month of having my pet snake, and a visit or two to the store, I upgraded her tank to a 30 gallon tank with a stand, and some more accessories and an employee was VERY helpful with me getting what I needed to pull the new set together.

This place is pretty nice it looks clean and the staff seem to enjoy the animals which is definitely hard to come by these days

An amazing pet store with a huge fish selection. Whether you are looking for salt or freshwater fish, they have you covered. Prices are good too.

Best selection in town. They have tons to choose from. They employ quite a few local people. Although their prices are higher than some big box stores, I prefer to shop here because they create more local jobs than the corporate pet supply stores.

Our fish was dying so we went to get our water tested and it turned out perfect. We bought a new heater and filter and the fish seems to be thriving. Creature Comforts really took care of us and made sure we had what we needed for our aquarium. We get our new fish on Wednesday when they get new stock. Thank you Creature Comforts

Fantastic customer service and a wide selection of supplies for all kinds of animals. Also a very fun place to go with children as there are plenty of small pets for sale to choose from. We bought our young bearded dragon here and he is a wonderful addition to our family.

Normally, the store is very good. But our beta fish we bought over three years ago and was healthy and ended up passing away. Which is fine. Went there about three weeks ago and bought a $30 blue mustard beta fish. It was dead within three weeks and there is nothing they will do because they only guarantee a seven day health guarantee. They really need to make that a little longer. Because now my daughter is incredibly upset that she spent $30 of her money to buy a beautiful fish to die in three weeks

Went into get a Beta Fish for my Birthday. Was a tough year and lost my brother, my Dads Brother, and my Father. My sister and Mother also in hospital and almost lost them too, so I wanted to cheer up a little and my Fiance took me to get one. Not only were they highly expensive ($30 ea), They had about 40 Beta Fish all in less than 1/2 of water that was filthy & most were dead or sick. all were sitting on shelves cup next to cup. Sad, cant imagine how they take care of the rest of the pets there! Wont go again- too heartbreaking!

They say first impressions are everything and with my first experience with the staff of creature comfort who went above and beyond raises them to the next level , its good to see that theres still people left in this world to where its more than just a job , its highly recommended that whatever your need is to give them a call first , thank you again

Good assortment of small pets/birds and fish which all seem to be very well taken care of in store. They have EVERYTHING, even obscure pet supplements I thought I could only find online

Great store. Knowledgeable staff. Clean and all sorts of products for Cats, Dogs, fish and pet rodents. Probably others too but I was on a time schedule and did not get through the whole store. I will definitely return for things I need that are not available in my small town 20 minutes away.

I went to creature comforts because the local pet store in cortland closed and the other one has poor quality fish. I was very impressed by the huge selection of fish with a huge variety of unique fish. I was also impressed by the fact that the tanks were healthy and no dead fish. Fish were a bit expensive but I was ok with the prices due to being so impressed with the health of the animals

Very versatile pet shop. Their selection for dogs is phenomenal. Stopped by on way back from a mini vacation and found a nice toy and bag of treats for our doggo. Staff are super friendly and heloful.

Doesnt carry hills dog food. Was not asked or checked on by employees during visit. Fish tanks need to be cleaned. Nice small pet store. Good selection of items overall. Dog toy section is good quality

This is the only pet store for many miles (20 for me) the sells live feeders. And that is the only reason I would frequent this store. The prices are higher than normal. The staff is on the other side of being cordial, much less, helpful.The fish tanks are nasty looking. I know algae is harmless, but having it all over the tanks just says the staff dont want to be bothered with taking a scrubber to the glass. Brackish water fish are kept in freshwater. It gives people the wrong idea that these fish will thrive in freshwater, which is not the case. While its true that you can get away with it temporarily, its detrimental to the fish in the long run.Why is there a sign on one tank in the reptile section, Assorted cornsnakes and Boas? I didnt see anything thing in there, but do they keep them together, normally?Stock wise, they do have a good variety of food and supplies for everything, but as I said earlier, their prices are higher than normal. And they can get away with that because they are the only game for miles.

Really like this place. They are a bit expensive, but everything is now a days. I was going to give 4 stars because sometimes they dont have some specialized fish food that I need . However the expertise the staff has certainly outweighs the lack of a product. I call 1st just to check. Seems that since pandemic, many products are hit or miss these days..

Tried theyre online ordering and pick up. Ordered and paid for new dog clippers and a file for their nails. Went in to pick it up later that day and it wasnt ready. The lady cashier asked the older gentleman there if he knew where the order was. He said yea out of stock it clearly said in stock online. I got no email or anything to tell me this before I came down. When I asked about a refund he just said yep Ill do it. 3 days later and I still dont have a refund. The guy who was working (6-28) that morning shift, seriously lacks customer service skills and is just plain rude. I believe Ill shop elsewhere.

I have been in a few times. While their selection and cleanliness are great, customer service and attitude are genuinely lacking. Their prices seem higher than I have seen with other retailers.I go when I need something immediately, however Id sooner do business elsewhere. If you dont mind the Get your $h1t and get out. attitude, go for it.

Super helpful, especially when I couldnt remember which type of dog food I was using! They carried it to the car for me, which was great since I was obviously having a not so good day. Well staffed, and the variety of products far surpasses the big box stores, even for non food items. The prices are the same if not better than chewy, on most items. I looked specifically at the seresto collar. Great variety of exotic pet stuff.

You can count on the knowledge of the staff here. We have a wide variety of aquarium needs for many tanks, and always seem to find what we need at a reasonable price.

The prices on food are great. The staff is friendly. So whats the problem? They sell animals. Maybe others dont think this is a problem, but I certainly do. With all of the homeless animals in the USA, with all of the animals being abandoned in this terrible economy because their owners feel the only option is to dump them, it is the height of immorality to breed and sell more of these poor creatures just to make a buck. Frankly, I prefer the company of drug dealers. If these folks were selling humans, theyd be closed down.I went to this store on one occasion and watched a clerk grab a so-called feeder mouse out of a tank to feed to a snake. This is simply disgusting. Both the act as well as the callousness of doing it in public.

We went in to get a few fish and shrimp for a tank we already had set up provided it is a smaller tank 2 to 3 gallons, but we were getting very small fish. The girl working the fish area was extremely condescending acting like we were just trying to kill the fish. Other than that the store hasnt changed much over the years which is a nice thing to see in terms of cleanliness and ease of finding products.

Just love Creature Comforts they pretty much have everything you could possibly imagine for your pet and pretty much any pet you want is there Im personally go there for my bird stuff and I sell my finches to them so yeah

Rudest customer service around. They act like youre bothering them, in the fish dept most notably! I experienced rudeness on all 3 occasions Ive shopped there, only for convenience sake. Never again! Id rather drive for hours than go there again. On 1 of the 3 visits, the $9 each fish I got from there had ick and all died before the next morning ($45 down the drain).On top of that their prices are 3x and 4x the other local fish stores.They do keep good stock. Recommend shopping at other pet stores! 3 strikes and theyre out for me!

I have bought fish and supplies in the past with no problems. This time I bought 2 plecos and 3 neon tetras. 10 days later 1 pleco and 1 neon died and one other had ick. Within 2 day the rest died plus 4 other fish I have died. Plus I have what looks like brown algae that I have never had before got these fish.

Always love this place for treats and snacks for my dog. Love the good variety of toys and treats. Plus other products for cats, like litter and scratching posts.

Staff is always very friendly and helpful. The only place in town I can get my dogs favorite treats! Great selection of high quality dog foods and specialty products. They have small animal products as well.

I have never been more pleased with a pet store! I recently started a salt water tank with the help of some of the staff. Not only did they sit and listen to me and talk, they helped me pick out exactly what I needed to get started. When I came back to have my water tested to get my first fish Tom one of the employees was sooo very helpful in showing us the best starter fish to get and what NOT to get! Even when I went back a day later trying to get more he assured me the ones I bought were enough for now until the tank goes through it’s full cycle :) thanks again to the AMAZING customer service, very very friendly staff highly recommend and I will only be going to creature comforts for all my fish and or pet needs!! We were also carefully listened to and talked to about the process of our tank we have learned so much even how to feed our anemone krill shrimp and it’s awesome! So pleased with all the staff at creature comforts they are the best and wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

The staff there is very friendly and helpful some of them arent knowledgeable about care for certain pets and at times feel they try to sell things more than get your pet the proper care. They do have a wonderful manager who is the most kindest person ever. Definitely one of my favorite go to pet stores in my area.

Everything is more pricey than most other stores! I didnt find what I was looking for but the staff is super helpful and friendly. Willing to help with any questions or suggest options! Willing to help carry any items to your car with not a problem. There fish collection is amazing and they care for every animal that walks through their doors!

Always a pleasure visiting this local gem. The staff is very friendly and consistent with their posted hours. The shelves are fully stocked 99% of the time and a variety of brands ever-present. Plenty of off street parking is easily accessible. Every team member is familiar with effective communication and if you have special needs they quickly get you to the right person. Probably one of the best businesses in Broome County.

I always get treated extremely well at Creature Comforts. I usually call ahead, pay over the phone, and they gladly hold my purchases until I get there. I live a half an hour away, in a small town that doesnt carry anything I need for my Axolotls , and fish.The Store is CLEAN CLEAN!!!People enjoy the very large selection of different foods and supplies for Dogs, Cats, and your other furry friends.The Staff is Amazing! Employees were super friendly and helpful. Lots of different creatures and critters to look at. Tons of different fish. Have all the great food brands and they sell the cans but the 12 pack which is awesome and hard to find at bigger stores. Bring your pets in because they love to spoil them!

One of the best pet stores in the area. Creature comforts is always clean and well maintained. The selection and price is unlike any other pet store in the area. They have salt water and fresh water fish in a amazing displays. The staff have great knowledge also.

I have a love hate relationship with this place. Ive had multiple mice issues and I have purchased all my snakes from them but my last snake was in rough shape. It was a little sad. Im currently trying to get him in better shape. There arent many options in this area for pet stores that cater to snakes. I will say the employees there are always pleasant and helpful.

I bought 4 guinea pigs from them 2 females for myself and 2 as gifts and unlike petsmart these pigs were healthy from the day I got them unfortunately the one from pet smart died after 5 months. Ive never had issues with rude or mean staff however they can be a bit condescending at times and will try to make you feel dumb and or buy things you dont need. Trust your reaserch more than a pet shop employee.

This is the place to go for aquarium needs, fish, supplies for fish, cats, critters. Purchased a large aquarium that was delivered and set up. Purchased more goldfish and tropical fish for the small tanks we already had. We also had our tank water tested there, making sure our tanks were up to speed with ph levels.Costumer Service: 5/5. We spent at least 45 minutes in the store and did not see any employee on cell phones. Not one. They were doing their jobs. Any questions with types of fish to put in same tank were knowledgeably answered. Headed back for more fish this afternoon!

We have been going to this pet store for years. They have a great selection of pet supplies and equipment. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. By far the best pet store in the Binghamton area.

I went in to buy crickets for the Gecko Im babysitting and they gave me some education on crickets. It was valuable information that I didnt know so I was very appreciative of them doing that for me.

Great place for any of your animal family members needs, the staff is knowledgeable and they always have great recommendations and answers to questions.

I cannot tell you just how disgusted I am with this place. Was there and spent $70 on 4 guppies and 2 albino catfish. Wish I had done my homework. They charged me 8.99 for each guppy that I could have got at Petsmart for $3.99 each. The Albino Catfish were a pair price (I bought 2) at $24.99 for the pair, I could have got at Petsmart for $4.49 each. My water tested absolutely perfect before dumping in the 3 bags with their fish water into my tank and it was off the next day when I retested. All but 1 fish died overnight, and that one does not look good. I will NEVER set foot in this store again. The one star that I have to give them to rate is far too high.

I go here all the time for frozen mice and my son loves to look at all the fish and small animals they have there. Very knowledgeable and kind staff. If your looking for a great pet supply store in broome county, this is it!

This is by far the best pet store in the area. They have literally everything you need and VERY helpful and informative staff! I had some questions about my fishtank and the woman I spoke with was so knowledgeable it blew my mind, Ive never had someone know SO much about the animals and how to care for them as she did. I will only be shopping for my pets from there anymore!!

Some of the staff are less chatty/schmozy but others love to gab about their pets and yours! They take as much time as you need to explore the critters and such. Lots of the staff are very patient with kids. All around a great experience. Helped us find our newest and most tiny member ms of our family! Genuine pet people staff!

This is a seriously great pet store. Its small and privately owned, so dont expect Pet Smart, but their animals are clearly better cared for and happier than any big store (and there is a surprising collection). Id rather source a pet from here than anywhere else in Binghamton. And of course, the staff are wonderful, helpful, and very knowledgeable.

We’ve gotten rats, fish, and a ferret from here. The staff we’ve had help us seem to be knowledgeable on the animal and help us pick the best one for the personality we’re aiming for.

When it comes to selection they have an incredible selection of pets and fish. As far as fish I will not be buying freshwater fish from them again. So many fish had ick, which I have treated thousands of times so I figured Id stick to some of the easier breeds. I spent close to $400 on fish and supplies. It has been 2 weeks and i have finally cleared the ick out of the fish, I lost 8 in the process and out close to $120 in fish. Now a few of the bigger more expensive fish I purchased have dropsy. If you do decide to buy fresh water fish from then do not put them directly into your tank you must quarantine them first and be prepared to lose a few.

I will never shop here again. I have been coming here for over 2 years and have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here. I have had to deal with rude staff at times, but my most recent trip was horrible. The male staff member that helped me in the fish department was so nasty and rude. He acted annoyed when I asked for assistance and when I had a few questions about a product he treated me like a complete idiot and acted like he couldnt stand to answer simple questions. I am very disappointed as this was my favorite pet store in the area. I will never give them another dollar. If I could rate this place ZERO stars, I would.

Very nice store, clean and friendly, they do photography events throughout the year for shelter donations. They have a wide variety of pet foods and toys. Only negative is there freshwater fish seem to be more on the pricey side compared to other stores.

This definitely is not meant to be an exotic pet store, but it will likely meet your needs and expectations if all youre looking for is a healthy selection of common pet supplies.The staff are welcoming and the fish selection is broad, but those are the two strongest points. While the fish selection was impressive, you cant expect to find animals in the right tanks. The labeling isnt always accurate, and you might find a fish a few tanks down instead of where the label is. That leads to a game of What is that fish, where youre trying to look up fish species on your phone to figure out whether you actually can accommodate that nifty-looking animal in your aquarium. One thing I enjoyed was seeing the more expensive aquarium models set up and in operation with living creatures inside them.The reptile selection leaves something to be desired. While they had different morphs of python, the variety of reptile species was less than you might see in a chain pet store. The reptile supplies were also somewhat lacking, though they had a considerable stock of what items they did have. (Notably, they had a halogen bulb I wanted that didnt fit any of the domes/hoods available, that I could find.)Likewise, the bird and rodent selection is small and comparable to a chain store. The incubators for baby parrots implied this might not always be the case, but they were empty when I visited and I cant comment on their authenticity or use.As many other people have pointed out, the store is clean and the staff are very welcoming. No less than three people offered my boyfriend and I assistance while we shopped. If we hadnt driven more than an hour in the hopes of seeing a decent selection of reptiles, I likely would have been less disappointed in the experience. If you are shopping for cats, dogs, and some other very common pets, you can expect a selection that is at LEAST on par with a chain pet store, if not better. The fish selection will likely surpass what you would see in a chain pet store, but all other animal selections (and their supplies) may leave you slightly disappointed.

This store is amazing. They have everything we need for our cats and dog. Every time I come in I have to see the fish and the baby parrots. I keep forgetting to pick up a new chew toy and harness for our puppers, but theres always next time.

We’ve been shopping here for YEARS! But this was the last time. My daughter had bought a ferret from here with the money she spent all summer working for that she held at the pet store. When we got home it attacked her numerous times and we called and told them and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Finally I was fed up and told her it was time to call them they cannot expect a child to keep an animal who has literally drew blood, ripped clothing apart. It was just a extremely mean animal and we were lied to about it all. And they have given a 14 year old $150 in store credit as of today when she spent $350! Do NOT buy the ferrets they get I’ve heard from others about the same issues. My uncle also bought $200 worth of salt fish from here that died the next day and they gave him $50 store credit. That’s not how you run a company. Oh and by the way on top of it.. my daughter was in tears because the worker was shaking and screaming so loudly. That they were actually scared she was going to get hit by the worker. Her name is also Eve..

I have been coming to this store for about one year now. Ive purchased all my fish and most of my fish supplies from the store. The fish staff are generally knowledgable yet, always busy and sometimes are difficult to get a good conversation out of. Not their fault, its just a busy place. If you can get there when its dead, youll find they will talk to you about the animals until they need to help a customer.As far as prices go, I find they are on par with other chain stores. Unfortunately no one can come close to Amazon, but I am certainly someone who loves instant gratification so I dont usually go to Amazon unless its a huge price difference.I would commend Steve for his Fishy knowledge, and I will be going to this store for years to come.

Best Petshop in the Area. This is my go-to pet store if i have the time to get out to it. The selection of foods, aquarium supplies and terrarium supplies is great. The frequent buyer program has been a main reason why i return again and again. When i get a free flat of cat food cans... thats 40$ saved. The staff is almost overzealous in helping you. I inquired about an uncommon item... the manager was in earshot and he immediately ordered 3 of the item. I do not buy live animals from pet shops, but this place has the best selection for supplies. their reptile/terrarium supplies are among the most varied and best in the area.

Great place for fish. Service leaves a lot,to be desired but once you finally get someone to help you, they are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful......they have many, many varieties of fish, and any supplies you might want. Ive purchased several dozen fish, and will always go there first.....

The selection of fish, birds and reptiles is definitely the best in the area.However, most products are extremely overpriced compared to other pet stores in the area.The employees are usually polite and knowledgeable.I love looking at the fish but there are usually injured/dying fish in the tanks with other fish in the tank biting at them. They keep fish in the same tank together that really should not live together too.And the fact that they sell dyed/tattooed fish is upsetting.

Never have any stock every time I go there and they like every time!!!! Tired of hearing the same thing all the time so a new pet store would be nice for this area!!!! This store is over priced and the lack of help there with things is not good either!

We came here in search of an axolotl and we were pleasantly surprised to find them. We were able to talk to an employee that was very knowledgeable about them and helped us out tremendously. We are very appreciative of the help and will be back to buy an axolotl.

Every time I have bought fish here they have ick. I bought a hermanns tortoise here for my mother. Was sold to me as healthy. He died about a month later. She took care of him exactly as directed. There was something wrong with him from the start. Hardly moved, and was very tiny. Temps were tight. Humidity right. Food right. Correct lighting. Nice store. But pass on the animals. I should have gone to a reputable breeder.

I bought my 6yo daughter two medium sized angelfish. After, 24 hours one died. When returning to the store they refused to give us credit without a body. This is disgusting. I feel like a picture should suffice.The interesting thing was, there were about 20 of them on the day of our purchase and when we went back they didn’t have any, except one dead one. Now I’m worried something was wrong with him all along. When we asked what happened, no one had an answer.I’ll take this down if you change your policy. Requiring people to bring in a dead pet is just the saddest thing and it’s unacceptable.

I am so very blessed that Broome county has a pet store like this. Reason 1 is because the team work is awesome and very welcome, helpful too. Reason 2 is my cat 🐈 food is very pricey living on a fixed budget like most of us are with this COVID going on.well let me get back to the point of why reason 2 is important to all of us who have Dogs and Cats. Its you buy food well the tenth bag is free !!!❤️🐈🐈‍⬛🐩🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 . Cant bet that. I pay every monthly$120 so that tenth bag is awesome saves me $37.53. Creatures Comfort is awesome!!!

My first time there to buy some presents. What a great place!! So much to choose from. I was not expecting to see such an assortment of just about everything you can think of! Its definitely the place to go if you have any kind of pet!

I cant say enough about this place when it comes to how they care about animals and more than that Animal Care. We have several rescue animals they have their own special needs occasionally and I can get a little expensive because what you provide for one you might not be able to provide for the other because of diet or health conditions. The staff is always willing to help very friendly never seen too busy to stop what theyre doing in order to help. Sure we could go to the grocery store or big-box store and maybe occasionally get something for a few cents cheaper but why? Creature Comforts will take care of anything and everything that you need regarding your pet and if they dont have it on the Shelf youll get it for you. You never have to load your car by yourself youre buying large bags of dog food or even if youre buying a new cat tree theres always somebody there to help you when youre checking out take things to your car for you and they do things with a smile Pleasant I get along well even willing to joke and laugh about the weather. If youve never shopped here before youll never shop anywhere else for your pet needs once you come here for the first time

Absolutely the best pet store in the area! They have such a wide selection of both animals and supplies. Not to mention their staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgable. It is obvious that they care about their animals and that they want them to go to responsible, informed pet owners. When we came in looking to set up a paludarium for our new fiddler crabs, the staff was so helpful in not just recommending filters, substrate, food, etc., but also provided great advice about care. We had such a positive and fun experience that we are now making plans to set up an aquarium. Even though Petco is closer to us, we will choose Creature Comforts every time!

Really the only decent pet store that actually sells animals in the area. Nice freshwater fish selection and they have a saltwater section. At one point a few years ago, they put some money into their saltwater and corals, but now it looks like no one has done any upkeep in years. Not a great selection either and very overpriced. Some days they get a good shipment in, but being one of two stores in the greater Binghamton area and 1 of 3 in the 607, decent stuff goes fast and is expensive for what it is.They do sell a nice selection of reptiles and they do sell live foods as well for them.Also sell birds and supplies as well as dog and cat supplies as well as stuff for other small animals. Thankfully dont sell actually puppies like the other mill in Binghamton.

I want to give this store 5 stars for their product selection and quality of animals. I’ve yet to purchase an unhealthy animal from them, unlike petsmart. they’re the only place in the area to buy animals other than petsmart so of course i go here. they have a great variety of products for small animals, birds, reptiles, fish, etc. So i love going to get the things i can’t always find in chain stores.but i want to give 1 star for quality of service. For some reason, it seems every time i’m there the employees are just miserable. I try to ask a question or ask for help and they’re visibly annoyed. I work in retail, i know how it can be. so i try not to judge. but it’s every single time. I feel extremely uncomfortable asking for anything. I just want to get my products and leave without interacting with any of them. But when buying fish, animals, or large items like fish tank stands, you need employee assistance. And I get this dirty look or rude comments or eye rolls every time i ask for help. I try to be polite every time i ask for help, and i always get the same thing. The only people there that have been kind to me are the cashiers. They seem to be the only ones that are ever friendly. it’s unfortunate because I really do like to go and get supplies there, but because I feel so unwelcome, I go as little as possible.so essentially, if you need animals, go here. if you’re looking for a specific product for exotic pets, go here. but if you want to ask questions, get information, or anything of the sort, steer clear and use the internet.

This local pet store is wonderful. They have a big selection of whatever you may need for your pet. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The store is very neat and well organized. Such a pleasure to have this pet store right in our backyard.

I bought a Herman Tortious there about 3 months ago and he died recently. The vet told me that they should not be sold so young because they are fragile and can easily get a virus and not survive. For $270 I would think I would get more than 3 months. I am now heartbroken as a result, will not purchase anything else from there especially pets.

Went there to pick out a freshwater fish for my tank. Mind you first fish Ive introduced in over a year. Bring home an oscar that looked clean and healthy. 2 weeks later all my fish are covered in ich. Have already lost one through treatment and expecting more to follow. Will not be back

Reading these reviews I feel like I must be missing something...I walk around with a permanent smile when communicating with sales staff anywhere...Ive lived here 3 years and not one time have I left CC without saying to myself how miserable everyone that works there must be. I stand around waiting for assistance or have to interrupt conversation to get fish or other help and most of the time the employees are aloof or have an attitude...its your job..do it and do it well without the sourpuss tude. The last few times, the person whos gone in with me has made the same comments and even got annoyed when trying to ask about a price because the *manager* had mislabeled the product and acted as if he should have just known it was wrong...what?? So it was our fault for assuming the labled price was right. I started going here for the food bonus because I purchase multi bags a month and they also have the aquarium supplies I use but after my trip last week I actually threw my CC card away and will make the trip to tractor supply for dog food and Amazon for aquatic needs. Both are cheaper anyway. Oh well.

I’ve been coming here for years and the staff is very pleasant. The only complaint I have is the prices are a little high but they are an independent store so I can understand they don’t get the same discount as a Walmart or another large chain. Going there supports local business and that is what I support.

Got an iguana, and it passed within the 7 days, tried to do a return, and was only able to get half back...in store credit. Also, they charged me for 20 crickets, which werent in the bag. They said they could not look it up to verify, when Im sure they have cameras on the register, where the crickets are located. I shop there regularly and am very dissatisfied with this theft, and lack of customer service..also, with the rudeness of the manager.

Got amazing information about my cockateil from Mariana. She gave me lots of information about my bird. She was great at answering all my questions. I was impressed that there were animals for sale here and some of the selection for reptiles. I just wish the prices were a little less and they had a better selection for reptiles such as enclosures and more greenery and food dishes.

When I lost 3 dogs in one year from the tainted dog food from Walmart’s. I decided to get good food for my new Lhasa Apso and found Creature Comforts. She has been on Wellness for most of her life. Now she likes their canned food. She will be 13 in May. But I only give her small amounts with the dry food. She also loves going into the store to visit.

The animals are very well cared for. They have lots of rodents and fish, but I was there for their birds. The lady that was there helped me and my dad and suggested products for first time bird owners.

Smelly bedding purchase for my rabbit. First time purchase of bedding and a rabbit . I was called to be notified when some came in I was told she had a boy and a girl and the dwarf when I got there she brought out the dwarf and didnt recommend when I asked if shed had anymore.I wanted two bunnies and rabbits dont need a hamster licking water bottle. Or their poor quality cages.Be ware Rabbit owners of what is offered for sale consider the rabbits original habitation and try best to accommodate them

My wide and I were looking for water for our Beta fish, Geno. We went to Petco before paid $10 for 2.5 gallons. I prefer to put Geno in water which us best for him. This time when came to get water again, we went to Petco no 2.5 gallon only half gallon for $7. My wife suggested we go here at first we found salt water and knew that wasnt it and asked an employee who worked there she said that they do have a 5 gallon container which they can fill with fish water and only cost 45 cents a gallon, also when we need more we can simply go there with the container and get more water for 45 cents per gallon. Of course we will be going to Creature Comforts more for our beta fish supplies.

As a reptile owner this is the best place in the area to get live feeders or more reptiles. Their crickets especially are the largest ones and cost the least. They also tend to have lizard species that you cannot find at PetSmart or Petco for sale and all of their animals for sale look healthy and very well taken care of. Its honestly the best place to get reptile supplies in the Binghamton area

We have a lion head bunny. He loves the food they carry best. We have tried other brands at different stores. But, we always go back here for him food and treats.

Amazing variety! I have a habit of comparing prices in-store with on-line and almost always find Creature Comforts wins. I dont know how they manage it!Staff goes beyond expectations too. I have found that they truely care about animals. Several months ago, I mistakenly purchased Bene-Bac for mammals when I needed the avian version. The store was out of it but an employee had some at her home. I was hand-feeding a parrot chick who needed this product ASAP. The employee brought her own Bene-Bac to me at my home later that evening! Because of her generous gift and time, the chic got through a rough patch and is now a healthy, playful part of our family.

I went in just to look as a first time customer, and ended up finding several corn snake morphs Ive been looking at online for years. The staff took their time and were very friendly, got talking about our favorite morphs, snakes, pets in general. All the reptiles were in clean enclosures with clean water, food, and they all looked healthy. I ended up taking home a baby corn snake who Ive named Hopper. He is healthy, already eating and doing very well. Prices seem on par with current online and in store prices Ive seen. Highly recommend this pet store.

Great people and great product to choose from, however no loyalty to consumers who repeatedly spend thousands annually in there store. arguing over $10 on a $300 purchase with a local repeat customer doesnt seem like a good practice

Not good at the moment.... Bought 2 lovebirds within the last mont paid over $500 for both found them both dead at bottom of cage this morning and they won’t do anything to help!!!! I’m very heartbroken and saddened over this.... still sobbing.... the manager I talked to is rude and unsympathetic!!!! I’m truly devastated and will NEVER buy a small bird here again.... I may not even ever want to shop her again!!!! Wow is all I can say.... From now on I’ll go elsewhere for my precious birds..... I know it’s nothing we did as my older birds are just fine and thriving... my Sun Conure and Quaker parrot.... we are very careful with our birds!!!!

This shop used to be the only good pet shop in the area. Sadly we have no good shops that I am aware of. We went to get community fish on a few occasions to add to our tank gradually. Half died on their own. The other deaths... I have to give more information first. I went in for an assassin snail to clean my tank of snails. They convinced us to get two pea puffers instead saying the puffers needed companionship of each other and they would not harm the tank mates. Once the pea puffers ate most of the snails, they started killing the swordtails and platties. We got more snails from the shop (all they had) and the puffers at them up in a couple days and then one killed the other puffer. The entire time we were also feeding the puffers unlimited thawed feed which they enjoyed. We also went for something to eat algae. They suggested an albino Chinese algae eater as opposed to a pleco because the algae eater would stay smaller for the tank. They sold us an albino pleco that died before it cleaned the tank. We were tired of the pea puffer stressing out fish to death so we brought him back, explained the situation, and they decided to put him in “time out for being naughty.” They never offered us any compensation or even an apology. And we still need our assassin snail and algae eater.

The staff are very helpful. There is a well maintained handicap entrance in the sidewalk. Prices are reasonable and staff are rather knowledgeable on the animals they sell.

They have a wide variety of fish Birds rodents. All kinds of food. You could find what you need for your dog or cat here. My favorite was to look at the different tropical birds they have.

I have been going to this store since I can remember, 18+ years. It is the only pet store in the area where the staff are knowledgable about the animals they sell, knowing exactly the best diets for them as well as what size they will grow to (I have had an employee at another local pet store tell me that oscar fish which grow to be 12+ inches stay at their baby size of 4 inches if kept in a ten gallon tank. This is of course not true).Be aware that while they have a great selection of animal supplies, for any pet you can imagine, if you want to buy an animal from them they will be ethical. They take care of their animals very seriously there and will not sell to people who will not be able to care for the animal properly and do not wish to learn how. Such as if you want a chinchilla or ferret they will ask what cage you have set up, and if it is not an appropriate cage for such an animal they may ask you to reconsider or get a different cage. they will then show you what cage would be good, what food is best etc. Again knowledgable, friendly and ethical staff. What more could an animal lover want?

Clerk there that waited on me was a very rude associate. She backed away from me while I was just standing there I wore my mask even though Im fully vaccinated and she had a mask on and I asked her if she was vaccinated and she said no. She had a lousy attitude. The only reason why I had to go there was for crickets for 2 lizards that I am watching along with a dog. Other then that I would not of gone.
