Sweden Dog Park

Require a code to get in. There’s no information about how to get a code. I googled it and it said you can do an online application, and it doesn’t tell you until after you pay it takes two weeks. We travel a lot in our camper and we have been to many dog parks, and I’ve never seen such a dumb system. The park was empty on Labor Day weekend, probably because it’s so difficult to get in. It’s a dog park, not an exclusive nightclub in Paris.

Park has a huge grassy area and gravel area that is fenced in, and in the summer a swimming pond. In 2021, the pond was filled on May 24.

Great play ground for dogs. The pond is now closed for the winter unfortunately.

Its a really nice park. The larger size dog area has a pool. However, the fencing around the play area (which by the way is a large grassy area) is not flush with the ground along the backside. So there is a pretty good gap.The smaller dog area is just a large grassy area with no access to the dog pool. You would have to go into the larger dog side and then close then pool gate area.Very clean, people have left tennis balls for the dogs to play with. There are run in sheds with human bench seating on both sides. As well as outdoor benches on the larger dog side.Great place to take your dog/s but make sure you walk along the fence line so you are aware of the gap.

If I could give it 10 Stars I would, amazingly nestled in the Park,you wouldnt even know from the road.

Really fun wooded disc golf course, Tees could use some TLC and couldnt find any maps but very fun once you decipher the tee tags that are still up.lol almost like a scavenger hunt for the next tee. Had a great time!

If you go here make sure to have the code with you. It has keypad entry only. All the other parks I could use the pass. It was a 30 min drive. I called the parks department and they took my info and my dog was wanting to go in I left and went to another park. I dont understand why at most of the parks the large dog area gets treated better the the smaller dog side.

Our first dog park experience-great place! Large group of friendly dogs and people, beautiful facility, treed, shelter, nice pond (closed for the season, can hardly wait for Spring!). Bit of a drive for me, but a fantastic deal, and my dog LOVED it!! Well be back!

Cute dog park with grassy area with trees and benches to sit on. Theres also a pool for the dogs to swim in. A hose inside of the park and out for drinking water or to rinse your dog off.

You would think with all these athletic fields they would make it handicap accessible. This is one of the worst fields I have ever been to you spend all the money to add a water park a dog park everything else and couldnt add sidewalks to get to each individual field

Great dog park. Pool is open in the summer and there is a large wooded grassy area. There is a shelter to keep you out of the wind in colder weather

Best dog park in Monre County. Large dog side has a wedding pond, trees and a shelter from wind and rain. I would give it 5*s if they would move a porta John close to the gate.

This dog park is large with grass and trees as well as a swimming pool on the large dog side that was very clean. only thing I didnt like was there was only 3 waste and bag stations.

Big, beautiful dog park! Your dog needs to be registered to use this park (and other Monroe County dog parks) but its cheap and easy, so just do it.

Great park in the summer!! Plenty of water and friendly dogs/people! Worth the $25 annual fee

They have a skateboard park, baseball fields, playgrounds all really gorgeous 8am-dusk.

Its clean. It is a big area with mostly grass. It has a swimming pool for dogs if they are so inclined. The people are friendly.

I love Sweden Dog Park because Zoey can run and swim. She haa a blast running & then launching herself into the pool to cool off.

Love it! Nice to have a dog pool that gets cleaned monthly. Such a refreshing change from Ellison with dog attacks and my dog getting sick from the pond.

Nice dog park to run and socialize your mutt. Plenty of toys and a water feature.

We didnt go to the dog park, but Google insists we did. We went to the new splash park an everyone had a ball. The water was cold.

Large area with a very clean pond for the dogs to play in. This is my favorite of all the Monroe County dog parks!

People are friendly and our puppy lives it. The water being cleaner than any other park is huge!!

Love the dog park but many of the dogs are getting sick from the dirty pond water, feet infections, eye infections.. it needs some sort of filter maybe a solar pond pump.. I have spoken to people and they would be willing to make a collection if the town also contributes to save on some of the vet bills people are experincing

They need to have the card to get in gate..like the other parks. Its much easier when you have a dog.

25 per dog as a fee to use, what a joke. Free dog parks in other states. Not worth the money.

Usually great but today had to be on sunny side. Way too hot for dogs.

Be warned: This dog park is NOT open to the public. Registration is required with Monroe County to bring your pup. I am in town visiting family, and was informed there is no option for a day or guest pass, despite offering to pay a fee and provide vaccination documentation for my two dogs. Monroe County should rethink their policy and allow people who are passing through to make a donation and receive temporary registration.

This dog park is member only, there is a passcode to get in. Not free to the the public
