Petco Grooming

Great first grooming experience with LORENA: I had so much anxiety and was so scared to leave her alone for the first time but it was SO worth it. My baby had a ton of matting after I made an attempt to groom her myself from home and also tear stain build up. So I decided to take her to professionals to fix the matting, rather than trying to remove it myself and traumatizing her. A wonderful job was done here! ALL of the matting and tear stains are gone. She is shaved all the way down and they did inform me that they would be doing that before starting—I was very happy and okay with that! In the photos you can see before and afters. Her natural coat is beautiful and it will be getting cool soon, so I do plan to grow it back out a little more now that I have the right tools to maintain it and a trust worth groomer! Thank you guys ❤️❤️ (also making the appointments were very easy there was a lot of availability. I made one for a vaccine and one for her grooming immediately after, which happened all within a week).

Lorena XD at Carle Place is the best stylist. Lorena asked what I wanted and showed me examples of what the end result would look like. My dog Luna has never looked more pretty! We finally found an amazing place for my dog grooming.

My dog Holly is going 13 in September. I have been bringing her to petco for over ten years. When I brought her in for her grooming, the manager told Melanie, the girl who usually takes care of holly ( and always has done a fantastic job) that they would no longer be able to take care of her because of her age and her poor hips aftrr today. The managers name was Mylinda( I think) know because of her age and hips retrievers have problems, but it would have been nice to show this great dog of mine a litter extra TLC instead of refusing to see her anymore. I dont think I would ever recommend petco to anyone after all these good years.

I love that my furry baby gets so excited to visit Petco for his routine grooming and or take a walk around the store and looks at the goodies that awaits him. The grooming staff puts my furry baby Kingston at ease . He’s looks good smells yummy. Best of all Kingston is very happy. Thank you Petco for always putting a smile on Kingstons face. 😊🐶

Melanni is such a wonderful groomer. She is very kind and caring with my dogs. Shes the reason I keep bringing them to Petco for grooming.

Melanni and the manager I believe his name was Alex, were great and very helpful. My dog Benji enjoy his cut and bath. I appreciate being so attentive and will definitely recommend this location.

Everyone knows how hard it’s been to get grooming appointments these days. I scheduled an appointment in JANUARY for MARCH and was told the DAY BEFORE that they need to cancel due to staff being on medical leave and that only one groomer is working.They should have insight and tell customers at least one week beforehand to cancel these appointments. Now I have to find appointments at least two weeks out. Ridiculous.

Julia S. was wonderful. I have a senior dog who gets anxious and especially with working from home due to the pandemic, my dog is very attached to me. Julia S. was patient with my dog and put me immediately at ease. When I walked out I knew my sweet dog was in good hands! Not only was Julia S. great, she did great work and took the time to explain the costs to me and make suggestions on what services I did and did not need to purchase for my dog. My dog looks GREAT and Julia S. did everything she could to make sure my dog wasnt too stressed!

Rude customer service at the end.employee was yelling at me because I wanted to ask about some type of compensation for them canceling my appointment last minute even though I had to move my schedule around to get my dogs haircut the next day. I even asked to speak to a manager and the manger was yelling at me too saying that if it was such an inconvenience to schedule it a different day but I work a lot of days and had my day off planned for that day and couldnt wait to get my dogs haircut a different day since its the summer and had to call out of work that day. I do not plan on coming back to this location and telling other of my friends to take their business elsewhere and go to a different location.

We were randomly set up with Julia for our first grooming. Ever since then we’ve gone to Julia every time due to her exceptional care. I’m an overprotective dog mom and I HATE leaving my pup with anyone especially in a situation where I fear she may be scared. Julia makes us feel SO much better and I always know that Layla is in good hands when I drop her off. You can tell Julia isn’t just working for a paycheck, she loves dogs and has a kind heart. That makes me feel so comfortable to know that my Layla is with someone who loves dogs as much as I do. Julia is very knowledgeable and always does a great job grooming our girl. Layla can be stubborn and she’s a BIG girl, and Julia is always happy to see her and always gives her the best care. I’m so happy to have peace of mind when I leave my girl.

Before I committed to making an appointment for my dogs bath and spa treatment, I spent quite a bit of time observing Sue as she groomed a dog. Her competence and the positive way she interacted with the dog convinced me that the Petco on Glen Cove Road was the best grooming salon for my little girl. That was 13 years ago, and I have never been disappointed.

They were great. They were able to fit my Great Dane in for a grooming on Christmas Eve. She came out smelling great and everyone was so friendly. They recommended a different dog feed for her dry skin.

The groomer was extremely friendly and polite - which is very important to me. And she did an excellent job in grooming my Fonzie, who was severely matted from lack of grooming. I will definitely be a repeat customer from now on.

Carol the groomer did an amazing job. Compared to Oceanside or Baldwin location in Long Island New York I was super happy with the job she did.

Melanie always provides an excellent service to my dog Mark. She is very kind to him

Sasha is the Best! Max was a little nervous for some reason and she was just so sweet and loving to him and those things are important to us

Only took off points because I stood at the grooming desk for about 10 minutes with no one saying a word to me. Then when I just went to the cashier to ask for help and mention my displeasure, I just got excuses that I was supposed to go to him anyway. But theres no way of knowing that if no one talks to the customer to begin with.

It was good. Lee did a great job with my boys.

Wolf has been groomed and care by Petco since he was 3 months old. Hes a healthy Rotti and enjoys getting groomed.

Sasha did an absolutely great job. Bentley came home clean, smelling good and happy.

Susan is the best. She used to do my other dog before he died, now she does my goldendoodle.

Paisley is such an incredible person, she listens, she cares just an overall ideal groomer and an asset to Petco

Daniel did an amazing job with my Yorkie and my long-haired Chihuahua! The Chihuahua has a spicy attitude and she absolutely loved him. I’m very happy with the quality of the grooming and with my babies’ overall mood after the experience. I’d like to add this location is very clean and everyone is so friendly!
