We visited this place for the first time and we are gonna keep coming here. We brought our kitty in for a check up, knowing he was not in full health, and we got the bad news, but I can say the vets there seemed to have compassion for our animal and our feelings, highly recommended!

Called for a sick appt. I was able to get in less than an hour. Reasonable vet. Got my kitty all healthy again!

Everyone is really very nice and helpful, the Doctors there are amazing. Meimei was scared at first and then the nurse gave her a calming bandana and it did the trick, very thoughtful practice.

Great staff. I think we met everyone on our first visit with this 8 year old Boston Terrier (our son’s dog) named Winston Churchill, Strategic Mastermind. A very determined and focused little guy.

Highly recommend.From the moment I walked in everyone was very welcoming.They got me in on a sort of emergency bases after a visit with another vet.Dr. Germano was very understanding of my concerns and stayed in the room to talk for quite awhile before even touching my cat. This made her feel comfortable and not as sassy as she usually becomes at the vet since she was able to go over to him at first on her own terms.Everything was well explained and I feel very confident in my visit at this vet. I will definitely be returning.Thank you all again.

Updating my review. I previously listed this vet at 5 stars because my initial impression was great...But over the course of the past 10 months things have change drastically. Incredibly unhappy with the treatment out pug has received.It seems once they lock you into their 1 year puppy plan they don’t feel it necessary to listen to concerns or offer any personal care. And once you tell them you’re not going to continue with the adult plan, the care declines even more. Now that we’re on our last installment payment for the 1st year plan which will relieve us of the contract we got caught up in when we chose to bring our pup here, we will be finding another vet. I will never recommend this location to anyone.

Everything is expensive now but these folks served my kitten very well. She was abandoned and is very young, which is difficult because most medications aren’t tested on cats of this age. Vets have a hard time managing crazy owners but these folks are in the trenches doing the best they can. If you can afford it, this place is a no brainer. They’ll take good care of your babies.

The staff are very personable. The doctors give measured advice and walk you through things very well and quite thoughtfully.

Everyone was friendly enough, but I was waiting for over 3 hours to get my cat in after having called in beforehand. A bit disappointed as the problem was time sensitive and could’ve resulted in a different and better outcome.

Excellent care for your most loved family members. Staff is always friendly and give you a warm smile. Rachele Masters is a fantastic vet. She is experienced, knowledgeable and takes time to explain things to you. Highly recommend.

Very caring staff. Dr. Germano did a very thorough examination on our cat with cancer. We brought her home and she seems more like her old self. Thank you so much. Highly recommend. They truly care about your pet. ❤️

I can’t say enough about the Animal Health Center. Not only are their hours convenient, but they are responsive to my pets needs, whether it is an emergency or routine care. I trust Dr. Rachele Masters with one of the most important beings in my life and that says a lot! This is one of those instances where you get what you pay for.

The money extortion of the Animal Health Center is unreal! I’ve been taking my cat to the VCA his whole life. After my last visit back home in September where my cat was given the incorrect shot at his physical, I still decided to give VCA another shot and book for his dental cleaning. Having just moved, I thought to try this location despite all the reviews on indeed how they scam others out of money, but unfortunately these reviews are correct. Clifton Park deems it necessary to charge me another physical exam fee when we visited their business 2 months ago for his physical and were told he needed a dental cleaning. Their reasoning? They have different veterinarians there (apparently that need to do a checkup on his entire body before a teeth cleaning). Funny as I just spoke to my original vet who’s able to get my cat booked with his normal vet if I want to wait since she’s booked, or with a DIFFERENT VET EVEN AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION NEARBY! Guess I’ll be driving a ways for my cats teeth cleaning to avoid an additional exam fee?, and afterwards will be taking my business elsewhere and will make sure my family and friends don’t waste their time or money here either.

They are always nice there. My cats like the vets and thats enough for me.Update - I now bring my dog and she likes them also. They are always very accommodating, they make time for my fur babies whenever they need a visit.Update 2 - still my pets vet :) still love them there.Update 3 - they are still my dog and cats vet, we still love them there

Ive taken my dog here multiple times for vet visits and boarding.They are always super nice and show lots of care to my 1 year old pit. They know what dogs he plays well with and I always know they take great care of my pup.

I adopted an older dog a year ago and chose this vet office to take her to, and its been a good experience so far. I like the online scheduling and that they can get you in pretty quickly if its a severe issue. The support staff are all very courteous and professional. All the doctors are very attentive and take the time to explain everything and go through all your treatment options, but weve had most of our appointments with Dr. Nadeau and shes been especially great. She has a knack for connecting with both people and pets and shows that she really cares about finding the best solutions to keep your fuzzy friend happy.But again, all the staff have been good, and I feel that this is reliable place to take your animal to.

I am so glad I found my fur babys forever vet here a little over 5 years ago. The vets and staff here are amazing! Your pet is their number one priority. I will never take my dog to anyone else. We primarily see Dr. Morse, but Dr Germano is great too. Book an appointment for your pet here. You & your pet wont be disappointed!

The staff is wonderful and over the many years we had come here, every vet we saw was professional and friendly. When the day came to make that most heart wrenching decision to put our wonderful old dog to sleep, our vet was extremely patient and understanding. We were in the room for hours asking questions and determining what was the very best decision to make for our sweet dog. I will never forget how wonderful our vet was during this most difficult time.

My cat went in for surgery, and I have to say it was a very good experience overall. Extremely attentive and knowledgeable staff. They pinpointed things I hadnt even noticed myself- and I am not sure others would have before they actually went in for surgery! Truly cared about the work. Kept me informed at every step. Were friendly and patient with me even when I called multiple times for status updates. They have my business for life. :)

Requested quote for feline umbilical hernia repair for 2 year old cat and was denied quote. Staff was kind but frustrating that they wouldnt run any numbers.

Today was one of the most difficult days ever. We had to euthanize our sweet boy, Rocky. He was the best dog anyone could ever ask for. Dr. Masters was the best, she was so understanding and sympathetic and explained every detail of the process. Prior to today every time we would bring Rocky in for an appointment they were great with explaining all our options and the prices are comparable to any vet practice. I recommend them highly.

I’ve lived in this area for almost four years. I have tried a few veterinary offices, but was not very pleased. I’m so glad that I now go to Animal Health Center. I was there today with my 2 year old border collie mix dog. She has much anxiety at the vet’s office. She hid under the chair, then refused to move etc. In other words, she is not “ a Model Patient”We saw Dr. Nadeau who was so patient and good with her. And we can even go back!If you need a vet. Try this practice!Thank you to techs too, who were so very nice.

They took good care of my Rusty.Plus the people were very friendly. This will be my vet always.

I recently had to have my 16 year old cat euthanized and the staff and Dr Masters were very kind and supportive during this difficult time. They allowed me all the time I needed say goodbye to my beloved fur baby. Today, I received a sympathy card from Animal Health Center with a handwritten note by Dr Masters. I was deeply touched by this gesture and will return to Animal Health Center and Dr Masters if I should have another pet.

My dog has been a patient at Animal Health Center since the day we adopted her almost 12 years ago. We have always been extremely pleased with the treatment she receives from the staff there. Since she is my first dog, their guidance and education on keeping her healthy has been invaluable. The staff is wonderful and Roxy is always happy to see them. On the few occasions she has been sick or needed surgery, Dr. Germano has ALWAYS followed up with a phone call to check on her (sometimes long after the clinic is closed). I noticed some other reviewers mentioning fees or “free” exams. Being in the healthcare field myself, I can say that anyone who expects any practitioner to spend time to care for your pet and not be paid for that is outrageous. We would never ask the same of a pediatrician taking care of a child. Any free service they offer should be considered a favor to us. I highly recommend Animal Health Center to anyone who wants the best and most compassionate care for their pet.

I took my kitten in for a pre-surgery screening and Im very impressed with the entire operation. The rooms and lobby are very clean, the tech and vet were very thorough, friendly and professional in explaining the processes of the procedure. I felt like all my questions and worries were taken care of and I feel 100% confident that AHC will take the best care of my baby in surgery. Highly recommend!

I live in Albany-city. After 4 winter months of trying to catch a stray,I finally had to use a Hava-heart trap. Upon inspection,I saw the cat had a collar grown into his neck.I brought the rough,matted cat-in-a-trap to my local vet in Albany. They basically showed me the door. I then went home and called every vet,expanding outwards. Scotia,New Baltimore,Nassau…. No one wanted to help. “Cat in a trap???”Animal Health in Clifton Park to the rescue: “Bring him right up!” Up I went with my mystery cat in a trap. Dr Germano took the risk of getting the cat out of the trap and cut the collar off. Relief!! Exam…. Check for chip…That was in 2016. Lots of sedation/grooming,exams,cat fight checkups,etc since then. “Peppy” is happy in my home and patrolling/ruling the neighborhood.It’s 2022 and I appreciate them accepting Peppy even tho he can be a bit difficult.

My shelter dog and I love the staff and the doctor is both knowledgeable and friendly to the dogs And the humans. They have payment options to help the pet owner and prices are reasonable for the most part. Great place to take your dog or cat. My daughter took her cat there and was happy also.

The doctors are great, and some of the technicians are nice while some of the technicians have been rude on multiple occasions.Aside from this issue, it also seems that they either don’t care about the skin issues my dog has, or they are just reluctant to treat it. I brought it up at 3 separate appointments with the technician and I was told to let them know if it got worse. It had been getting worse when I brought it up the first time and I had told them that.I brought this to the attention of another veterinarian and he was very worried when he found out the brown spots covering my dogs legs were all infections. I am disappointed in VCA Clifton park because it seems that the inattentiveness and demeanor of some of the technicians leave much to be desired.I was going to leave 2 stars but thinking about how my dog could have died from the infections on his legs I feel that I must leave one star. I liked this place at first but they slowly have let me down.

Ive been a frequent flyer at the Animal Health Center for the better part of 2 years now and I couldnt be happier. Kate and Andrea are always helpful and know me and my pets the second we walk in the door. Our personal Vet is Dr Morse and she is wonderful, interacts perfectly with our pets and presents us treatment plans that cover our bases on the health needs of my pets while remaining honest and transparent about prices. We have also seen Dr Germano in a minor emergency situation and he was just as kind and I had no problem putting my trust in him. We love the Animal Health Center and have continued to make the commute from Schenectady over going with a closer hospital just to make sure our pets are receiving the best possible care. Thanks for everything to all the staff at the AHC.

Check in was quick and easy. The staff tried their best to calm down my cats. They are open later than most vets and it convenient for me. Also if you go to their website, you can get a free exam for your pet!

My baby, Frisky at 10.25 years of age had a sudden death. He laid in his usual place after going out and never got back up. I was in disbelief! I picked him up and took him to the health care center and they were fantastic with the grief process. The Dr took her time to speak to me and answered all my questions. I had another dog that also went there and he was dx with Cushings. He died in 2008. They have always been good to there clients!

I adopted Russell the rocket dog in June. I made his first well care visit at Sand Creek Animal Hospital in Colonie. I showed up for my appointment and was greeted at the door and was told No one can enter because of Covid. Go back to your car and we will do the appointment via cell phone. I said I left my phone home. I said I understand that rules could of changed because of Covid, but why not explain that to me when I made the appointment? Obviously I was upset. I waited 3 weeks for the appointment. I went home and then called Animal Health Center in Clifton Park. Not only did they get me right in, but they explained exactly what would happen at my first visit. They were extremely nice, fist visit was free and Dr Morse was extremely patient and kind with all my first time dog owner questions! Russell had a good time at his visit!! Just awesome!!♥️♥️♥️

Very loving and caring staff. We just said goodbye to our sweet kitty of 10 years last night due to sickness. Everyone here was always so patient and kind to us. They truly all love animals! My only heartache was not being with my kitty from start to finish with the euthanasia process yesterday. I did not want him to be scared, which is why I stayed...but I hope that once he was sedated, he felt peace and ease wash over him anyway, and then I got to see him, pet him, and talk to him as he crossed over the Rainbow bridge...as for the people complaining about money, veterinary care is expensive...anywhere you go, you get what you pay for essentially...Ive been to three states and I didnt find the expenses to be anymore than anywhere else weve been. For quality care for your pet, you will pay!

Kingsley Shacklebolt, my senior boxer, loves and adores Dr. Masters. She truly cares for the pets here, listens to your concerns, and will always take your questions seriously. Ive been researching vets in the area and Im glad I chose VCA Clifton Park. The front desk staff, and vets are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, took the time to go over Sparkys history and we developed a game plan that was best for our dog. Unlike some other reviews Ive read they werent pushy at all nor did they try to sell me anything sparky didnt need. Other reviews Ive read also stated they gave shot to their pets before going over cost... this is not true at all. After the initial exam they came back with a bill that showed what shots our dog needed and what the cost was going to be. Ive called several other vets and if i went someplace else it would have cost me more money. Another perk is they have doggy daycare and boarding. Hands down these guys are great!

Dr Nadeau is the best. She is so patient and knowledgeable, especially with my cat who gets super nervous coming to the vet.They will always treat your pet as they are their own!

Our experience with the staff has always been wonderful and its clear that they all love what theyre doing. My husband and I have found them to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic about the well being of our dog and car. Not to mention, they are a VCA hospital and accredited by the AAHA. We would definitely recommend the Animal Health Center to care for your furry babies.

At first amazing. I brought in an injured kitten with two broken legs. She was given swift help and treated for pain and shock. I started a fundraiser to avoid her being euthanized, next day she’s handed off to some mysterious rescue place from Westchester. No one knows the name. No one knows where she is. Parts of me thinks that they euthanized this poor baby and lied about it..How do you not know who walked into your organization and took an animal?! They even called me before to have me release any ownership. I wish I didn’t

The staff and veternaian was very helpful and compassionate cant afford all that is needed for my 18 yr.old chiwawawa the vet said to get the exrays done and she would do a basic blood panel and not charge me very helpful considering the pandemic has been hard but she works with you and your needs would recommend them to anyone

Ive been coming here for a while with my cat kratos. Nice veterinarians and vet techs, however, I feel like they are always trying to sell me something when I visit. Visits are pretty quick in and out. Not usually a long wait.

Dr. Blanchette is kind and compassionate and she explains all options very thoroughly. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The prices are more reasonable than some in the area.

Ive been taking my dogs here for years and everyone is always pleasant. The prices are pretty standard (which is to say super high) and they take great care of my girls when they need procedures.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, anyone we have ever had the pleasure of working with has turned what can be a very stressful situation for my anxiety ridden pooch into a wonderful and productive visit. We appreciate each and every person in the office!

EXCELLENT CARE for my fur babies. They took me in same day. Couldnt be happier to have found my new standing vet for my cats. They followed up the next morning to make sure my cat was OK. Highly HIGHY recommend.

Truly excellent care. Ive been to more than a handful of vets to try and help my cat with many health conditions,, and the care we received here was the best by far.

I can not say how greatfull my husband and I are for Dr Germono.For years we took out first cattle dog to a small vet in columbia county were we live.It was not untill I got a new cattle dog puppy that everything changed. Our puppy within days of being home began having multiple grand mal seizures. Its became clear that our small animal was not capable of caring for our sick puppy. Fortunately my sister in law works at the animal health center. Dr G was emailing me the moment he was informed of out situation before we were even patents. Dr G stayed late several times to see our puppy when he was so ill, he was also there when we had to make the tough decision to put out baby to sleep. I whole heartedly feel that if we saw Dr G from the beginning we would have been able to control the seizures that coused our puppy to have a high temp that caused permanent brain dammage.

Dr G is very friendly. He explains what is it , reception people are very friendly. Been going to them for the past 2 years and my dog loves to go there any day

They are very knowledgeable the front desk lady is sweet and the Vet was genuinely concerned for our fur baby, the tech not so much she was just like here is your Bill will you be paying cash or credit no sympathy for the situation our baby was in.

They know the procedures. But they are all about the money. That is it. I brought my shepard over, and i was getting a rabies update. They recommended me i should do another shot, but i didnt have the extra cash for that shot on me. They told me they wouldnt bill me out for the second shot, to come in next week when i get paid for the second shot. I agreed and paid for a exam fee and the rabies shot. mind you, i have brought my dog and boarded my dog there for about 4 yrs. So they called me the next week to confirm my appt and i askex them if i would be charged the exam fee again, being i was just there 5 days ago. After some back and forth, they agreed to waive it. The day of my appt, which i took a day off from work....the doctor...the actual vet called me and freaked, saying i dont respect her degree enough and her education to pay her an exam fee. I told her my dog was there last week and what happened. She said she wasnt able to waive my exam fee. Well, that was the last time i went there to say the least.

I am very happy! They are so caring about our fur babies and take such good care of them!

We went to Animal Health Center because they accept the Friends of Animals certificate for spay. They charged over $600 additional for the spay, including things that were explicitly included on the certificate. Absolutely unacceptable!

We see Dr. Germano, and you can tell he just really loves animals and wants the best for them, which makes you feel confident about going there.

These guys are great! They are fantastic to my guinea pigs remember them all when they come in for their yearly.

Really Sleazy vibe. They are forever trying to pitch you on their yearly plan for your pet. They even went so far as to separate my girlfriend and I after I interfered with their pitch to her and try again.They spend more time selling than listening or caring for the pets. I understand its a business - but I left feeling dirty, like from a used car lot.Ultimately we went elsewhere. They sort of declined to treat our bulldog in the manner which another Vet ultimate succeeded with and also, I just have Zero Patience for the relentless, hard sell.They might consider something other than a CARE industry.

The vet techs and front desk staff as are always so friendly whenever I come here for my two dogs. They are not only nice to you but also soo nice to the animals. My dogs are always scared to come inside but once the vet techs bring us in they are a little more calm.The only thing annoying about this clinic compared to other vets I’ve been to is that they’re very pushy when it comes to getting exams or vaccines , even if your pet isn’t due for them. It gets really redundant and annoying. You have to be on top of everything so you know when to decline them. I tried to renew my dogs heart worm / tick prevention meds online and the vet wouldn’t renew them unless I got another yearly heart worm test ($100) that she claimed my dog was “due for”. I had records that my dog got this same exact test in January 2022 which they again pushed me to get done. So if I hadn’t double checked I would have had the same exact test done twice in one year and paid an extra $100 for no reason which is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t recall any other vets ever making these extra tests mandatory in order for a prescription for heartguard/nexguard to be approved.

For small and exotic animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc.) this place offers some of the best prices in New York with some of the highest quality care. Not sure if it’s the place, or if my guys just like to spite me once I’m spending money, but they always seem to get better upon walking through the front door!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Made a first appointment with them to get my Great Dane seen. We ran into some traffic on the way there, they called about 8 minutes after our appointment to see if we still planned on coming to the appointment, apologized for the lateness explained the traffic and were put on hold to see if the doctor could still see our dog. The nurse came back on the phone and asked us to reschedule as we were pulling into the parking lot. She informed us we were already halfway through our appointment after only 10 minutes and that we had no choice but to reschedule, without this being posted on their website anywhere. Decided to cancel because we had driven half an hour for the appointment and they were not accommodating at all. What a waste.

Worst experience ever. They only care about money. My cat has a broken paw and a fever and the vet is telling me he will not help unless he gets payment. UPDATE: this extremely unprofessional establishment also decided not to give me a receipt, or tell me what type of medications they injected into my animal. I have no idea the dollar amount, or what was seven done to our family cat. They just called me asking for payment even though the vet promised me it would be free....

Everyone is awesome. The doctor got down on the floor with my dog because she was so scared. They also called the next day to see how she was doing.

Today was a horrible day in my familys life, we had to put our dog down (Valentine) she meant the world to us. The people at the Animal Health Center were wonderful, kind, understanding and never once rushed us through the process and for that we thank you.

Never had any problems you will end up with a ohshit bill but its your pets deal with it there not overpriced pet care isnt cheap

Very friendly, they are very good with the amimals.

The vet. Tech did not only treated my dog with great care, she went above and beyond to help me with my stalled car with her cable jumpers. In other words, come here if you are looking for a new vet.
