On Sunday, December 3, 2023, we had to put down our beloved 14.5 year old Lab, Boomer. He had been diagnosed with liver failure and declined rapidly within 2 days of that diagnosis ... he had lost the use of his back legs, would not pee or poop, and wouldnt eat or drink. The night before, he was in excruciating pain and was crying out for relief ... we knew that the time had come as our vet had said that there was nothing more that we could do for him. I called Michelle that morning, explained the situation, and she came over later that afternoon. Michelle was absolutely wonderful. She explained the procedure to us and was empathetic to our tremendous grief. The injections were painless, and she gave us as much time with Boomer as we needed before and after he passed. Because Michelle was able help us so quickly, Boomer could crossover at home, in his own bed covered with his favorite blanket, in front of a roaring fire, with soft music playing and his family hugging and kissing him as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. When we were ready, she put him on the gurney with a pillow under his head and his blanket still covering him. She allowed him to leave this world with a dignity and respect that is absolutely impossible to achieve at a cold, sterile, and typically scary vets office. Im crying as I write this. We love Boomer deeply and eternally, and I will never forget Michelles kindness and professionalism in helping Boomer and us in such a time of deep and profound sorrow. She enjoys my highest recommendation.
August 4, 2024 - the day our sweet Jacob crossed the rainbow bridge. Because this is still incredibly raw, this will be a short review. The courtesy, softness, love and patience that Michelle gave to us and our boy is immeasurable. Preserving his dignity was priority to us and she made sure that was done without us asking. Thank you for giving our baby boy the most peaceful passing he could’ve asked for.
Michelle came to our home to help put our beloved Goldendoodle, George, down after short battle with cancer. She made a difficult situation much easier with her gentle care and compassion. She put us and George at ease and helped him transition with dignity. We are forever grateful.
Michelle and crew were there for us when both our big pups crossed the rainbow bridge. She made it as easy as possible and took her time to talk and hear our stories about Ares and Athena. We highly recommend this compassionate, caring and amazing crew!
Michelle and VetMedics is a Godsend. She has helped my family and I through many rough times with our fur babies.. most recently she helped us when our pup required surgery. Multiple “telehealth” phone calls later, our girl is doing great. We could not be more grateful!
Most caring and gentleness given to your beloved pet. Had to call them today to help us with this ever so hard decision. Melissa treated our dog as if he was her own. Tears flowed and will for some time, but our beloved Jake has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is with our other dogs who are waiting for us all to join them. Jake we miss and love you. I will take good care of your brother Jasper. Miss you Jake. Thank you Melissa for helping us through this and I know we made the right decision. Love you Jake. Sorry meant Michelle must be tears and heartbreak that changed your name. Not myself today.
There are no words to describe our wonderful experience with Michelle & VetMedics. Michelle came to our home to help us guide our beloved Flynn across the Rainbow Bridge. Wonderful may seem like an odd word to use to describe an experience such as this, however, as painful and sad as it was, Michelle made it as wonderful as it could be. She was warm, compassionate, professional, empathetic, patient, and kind throughout the entire experience. It was such a special way to say goodbye - our first time doing this at home. Our boy enjoyed lots of his favorite peanut butter treat, while being loved by me and my husband. Then he curled up with me on his dog bed and simply went to sleep. It was very peaceful and calming. After, Michelle and my husband placed Flynn on a portable gurney. Michelle laid Flynns head on a little pillow then covered him with a blanket. She allowed us to take our time and she did each step of the process only when we were ready. I will forever be grateful for Michelle & VetMedics - thank you for understanding what pets and their parents need, and thank you for all that you do to provide support and services. Youre truly the absolute best.
Michelle was a phenomenal help in the passing of our beloved dog Munchkin last fall. Although we had an in-home euthanasia appointment scheduled for the following morning, Munchkin passed peacefully on her own during the night. Still wanting to have her cremated, Michele came the following morning to pick up our girl. She took the utmost care, wrapping her in a blanket and giving her a pillow on the gurney and letting us take our time to say a final goodbye and tell stories. Saying goodbye to your pet is never going to be easy, but doing it in the comfort of your home and having someone so caring and compassionate made all the difference. Offering in-home euthanasia is a great gift we can give our pets in their final time here and Im so thankful Vet Medics is available in the Hudson Valley and has such kind employees.
Losing my dog recently was of course devastating, however Michelles kindness, patience, empathy and professionalism made the experience as positive as it could possibly have been. I am so grateful my friend found her just in the nick of time for an at-home euthanasia. Michelle was so sweet and gentle, both to me (on the hardest day ever), and to my sweet baby girl. The presentation of her ashes and paw imprint was done very nicely and respectfully. I am very grateful for Michelle and highly recommend VetMedics to anyone in need of emergency vet services. I would leave 10 stars if I could. Thank you again.
Vet Medics staff are kind, gentle, and very knowledgeable about the care of our pet family members. I would highly recommend Vet Medics to all my friends and family.
Vet Medics, as usual, did a masterful job of caring for our cat while we were away. Michelle came to our home and provided every level of care. She even fed our koi. Communication was terrific. Vet Medics inspired confidence when planning care for our diabetic cat. They are most responsible and easy too deal with. We have complete faith in their oversight of our animals.
Michelle was absolutely fantastic with my dear Susan (feline of 15 years).Caring, empathetic and professional as can be. It was heartbreakingly calming to send my queen over the rainbow bridge at home, with her drifting to sleep in her basket and blanket. Michelle was there every step of the way; peacefully explaining the process. Allowed me to grieve as long as I needed to.I got her back to me within a week, presented with a handwritten note/packet. Her urn and footprints melted my heart all over again.I would absolutely recommend VetMedics, Inc.Thank you once again 🩵
Michelle and her team literally are the reason my dog is alive today. My 13 year old yorkie was suffering from pulmonary hypertension and congestive heart failure, and our local vet did not have the facilities needed to treat her. The vet told us we had to euthanize unless we could find a way to transfer our baby while giving her oxygen support. After calling nearly 10 ambulances, Michelle was the first one to get back to me! She was so kind and reassuring, and really listened to my concerns. Her team drove an hour and a half out of their way to transfer my pup in less than 24 hours. The vet tech sat with my dog in the backseat and they even took her favorite toy to comfort her. They handled everything from transporting to getting my pup admitted through emergency. I can’t believe Michelle was able to coordinate with me, the local vet, and the hospital in just one night. That she drove out of her way to take care of our baby just shows how passionate and caring she is. They saved my dog’s life, and my family can’t thank them enough.
Michelle was an angel! She came to our rescue when we couldnt transport our almost 14 year old Beuceron, Tucker to the vet to be euthanized. She was able to help us do this in the comfort of our own home. Both her and Jae were so kind, respectful and compassionate during our last moments with our beloved Tucker. I am truly grateful for the entire experience we were able to have with our boy as he entered Heaven.
Michelle and the staff at VetMedics are top notch. While traveling out of the state, Michelle and her amazing team at The Walking Dog, (VM’s sisterOrg) were watching our pack of five. The amazing VetMedics staff noticed our oldest was out of sorts, they called us immediately and then transported him safely and lovingly to our vet’s office. Once there and evaluated, Michelle and Joe transported our boy to a specialty hospital. While were in flight on our way home, Michelle kept in touch with the specialist and assured us she would be there with our boy should anything take a turn for the worse. She stood by her word! I will always credit Michelle and Joe with saving his life. I would never trust my pets with anyone else, Michelle has become like family to me and my pack, they love their Aunt Mich and her amazing staff. If you are looking for someone to care for your fur babies in the same way you do, look no further than VetMedics and their sister org, The Walking Dog! We will NEVER use anyone else to care for our precious angels!
There are not enough words to describe just how wonderful Michelle and VetMedics are.Compassionate, knowledgeable, trustworthy and attentive are just a few of the many qualities that make Michelle and her partner Joe a rare find. They treat your furry family members like their own. Not only do they provide a safe and loving environment for your pet, they are also NYS Licensed Veterinary Technicians and are able to transport your pet for both emergent and non-emergent needs. I cannot thank them enough for the excellent care they have given my “baby” over the years!
Michelle and the vet were very professional and compassionate.Vet Medics help us out with 2 of our beloved dogs in their passing.
I love having the peace of mind knowing that my dog is being so well taken care of and having the best time with her doggie friends! Michelle’s walking and daycare services have been so great for my dog since going back to work. She gets the fun and exercise she needs and I know she’s with someone who knows so much about animals and is giving her the best love and care. VetMedics is one of the best out there!
Michelle is the best. Caring, competent, and professional! I can relax when I know she is caring for my furry family members! Thank you VetMedics!

We needed assistance on short notice for someone to feed and play with our two dogs 🐶 one afternoon. Michelle responded quickly, came by the next day to re-meet our dogs then the following day to assist. She is everything you would expect and then some.
VetMedics was beyond amazing with our kitties. We’d taken a trip south and our kitties were treated like royalty! Played with, feed and treated well. We highly recommend their services!
Extremely professional and compassionate during a crisis. We were so grateful for VetMedics assistance, compassionate care, and knowledge during a very difficult time. Highly recommended by Highlander German Shepherds. Alisia McIntyre
VetMedics got out Jiminy from Newburgh to Brewster in time. Unfortunately we lost him but they got him there alive.
Vet Medics has helped us through our most difficult times with our pets. Absolutely 100% recommended.
VetMedics is a god-send, both in an emergency and for those moments where you simply need a little extra support. The VetMedics team was there for our GSD when he had minor health issues and they were there to help him cross the rainbow bridge. With their assistance, his passing happen in the comfort of his home and was done with the utmost love, care and respect. You can not find a better team to support your pets--they feel like family. There is no one else I would use or recommend.

In 2010 Grace and I returned from Iraq, where together we served as a Combat Tracking Team. I was fortunate to have been able to keep her after our tour. In our hardest of moments they were very considerate, compassionate and patient. We will refer them 1000 times over! Amazing service all around!
Vetmedics are angels on earth. Michelle has been there for our family for the small things, like an at home nail trimming, to big things, like transporting our diabetic husky to the hospital while we were in the middle of the ocean. Most importantly, she was there for our family when we had to say good bye to to our first babies, on two different occasions. She aloud us to be in our home and let our pups be in their favorite spots at the end. Never rushed and full of compassion!! VetMedics is must for any Hudson valley pet owner!!
