One of the nicest, cleanest parks for pups, and the humans, are sociable pet friendly people,🐶
This dog park is big, thats about the only positive thing. There is really no place for the dogs to play in the shade, its a wide open space that gets all of the sun. To get water you must leave your dog in the fenced-in area, fill your bowls with a hose, and return. The grass is cut occasionally but the area is mostly dirt.
Good thing they added the dog park. This park wasnt attracting the greatest activity. Now its great place to stop in and lets the dogs play and have kids use the playground. But the playground needs some attentions and perhaps some new grass for the dogs. The area is all dirt and turns to mud when it rains. Not sure what the best solution is for that (if any).
Aside from being a muddy mess. Unless you live here they dont want you here. 👎👎
Not much of a park BUT went there for dog run and impressed with it. My former Boston terrier had fun and didnt have to worry about over 25 lbs. guys. They have separate section bigger than our babys which had more than adequate space to run around in. Heard was constructed by former Mayor Spinelli. Voting for this animal lover again.
Very nice park and I give it 4 stars from the way it looked outside looking in because no one mentioned the fine details that you must be a glen cove resident, and register your dog with the town....which is completely understandable. I just wish I knew this before driving over from oyster bay.
Its...fine.Like - fine. Not much shade. But the grounds are in good shape. Plenty of room to run. Well maintained.
There’s No Restroom Facilities At This Park
Took my 7 month old rescue to the park for the first time and she loved it. Would have stayed longer except it was a little muddy
It is alright at times to bring my kids and the dog out, but recently not sure if it is from the covid, but it just is not kept to the same level it was before. Oh well
Great community, dogs, and park. Poorly designed to handle rain which easily pools and becomes very muddy.
Looks nice but only glen cove residents. Werent able to enjoy it 😔
The only official dog park in Glen Cove so locals cannot complain. I do wish there was an area with shade though
Thank you Glen Coves Dog Run Volunteers! You have done a great job. My dog thanks you and we thank you.
Its good and has a big area...BUT whenevet it rains, it becames a mud pool.
Named after an American Hero……who grew up around the corner from the park.He died in Vietnam on 6/12/1968 in hostile action
Such a great community resource. Its a shame wet weather renders it unusable for weeks and sometimes months at a time.
Great place to visit with your dog.Very good crowd of dog ownert
Decent park but needs a trail or path of some sort
Went today and now for the second time my dog was attacked by the same black dog with an owner that carries a spray bottle to try to control him. I usually bring my dog and family every weekend to the park but today ended it. There needs to be a presence from the town since this same dog has attacked other dogs. When they are not around other patrons of the park talk about the same issue. My dog is a 10 month old puppy that shouldn’t be attacked by any dog at a public dog park. Good luck to all that go there!! You are going to need it if this dog and uncaring owner are there.
Doggy bags, great fenced-in areas for both little and big dogs. Water hose allows pet owners to fill pets water bowls or cool them off in the hot weather.
Great for kids and dogs, has a little playground for your kids and an area for dogs. Close to the train tracks so you can also watch them pass by.
Dog Park, nice addition to Glen Cove park facilities
Great clean park to bring your dogs where they have lots of fun running around playing with other dogs♥️🐕🐩🐶🥎🥏
Great facility. We will be back. Waiting for Bayville park to open. Cookie and I are Bayvillians.
Not there now. Its usually not crowded though.
Friendly dog park. Amazing amenities
Great place for dogs to play in, nice dog owners...
Very nice dog park and Playground
Very large. Lots of dogs to engage
Hope to see a pumptrack here soon!
Dennis Brian Murray park has become the dog park for Glen Cove. There are 2 enclosures-one for large dogs and one for small. There are also bags for cleaning up poo and bowls for water. The park has a small playground (for humans) and plenty of parking, with a couple of benches and picnic tables. No bathrooms, and the area is all residential so none nearby.
Great place to bring your dogs!
Fantastic. Gets very muddy on rainy days
