Amazing experience adopting a cat! We love her! Very kind staff. Great habitats for the cats. They are very well cared for. Very clean. Really sweet animals. My wife, son and I spent a while meeting different cats and never felt rushed by the staff. I highly recommend Cove Animal Rescue.

Well run clean not for profit shelter. Great place to meet your fur baby..cat or dog. Just adopted an adult cat and he is wonderful. Thinking of getting a companion for him and this is where I will go.If youre not adopting, they welcome donations of both money and unopened food .

Came here about two months back to look into two dogs they had up for adoption. Spoke with Kathy and Her son on every occasion to make sure we were bringing the right dog into our home. Even helped with slowly introducing Ghost into our household and now couldnt be happier with the sweet boy we brought home

This place is one of the best shelters Ive been too; I adopted my best friend and new family member Mia from this shelter. The staff is really dedicated in doing what is best for the animal and made the adoption process easy as pie. I went on vacation and Kathy with opened arms welcomed Mia for a total of 5 day of boarding(she offered longer if needed) . As a new dog mom I was a little skeptical about leaving her for the first time (like any dog parent would be) but Kathy kept me updated and made the process super comfortable. I was able to enjoy my vacation and Mia got extra walks and attention from the awesome staff at Cove Animal Rescue. When it came to picking Mia up from boarding AND when I first adopted her; Kathy supplied me with extra leashes, harness, dog food, treats and even a crate. PLEASE ADOPTED AND SHOW LOVE TO YOUR LOCAL SHELTERS! wish I could give them more stars!

Adopted a 6 year old pit mix from here. Shes in good health. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff. Clean environment. Paperwork was handled swiftly.

I am one the volunteers, I absolutely love it here. I have met some amazing people, the cats are the best. They have the option to go outside, stay in, no cages. tons of toys and places to sleep.

We had to make an appointment to see the cats here and we ended up having a great time. There are different rooms to meet a bunch of cats in and a lot of them aren’t too friendly but they are relaxed and happy. The place is nicely kept clean and there is good food and litter boxes for each cat which makes them happy and taken care of well.

I was always visiting Glen Cove animal shelter, my beloved cat came from that place. I stopped by today and was amazed to see new room for cats. They can roam cage free, socialize, nap on new furniture and cat beds. They have access to fenced outside room. Whole place is so clean and nice. Its so easy to spend so much time to play with kitties and find the one that can steal your heart!

Wonderful animal shelter. You can tell they care! Thorough check of anyone interested in adopting, yet not intrusive. Highly recommend taking a look at their selection of frisky felines ready to adopt!We were very close to adopting, however another little kitten fell into our family and we no longer were looking. Highly recommend to adopt from here!Note: You cannot peruse the dogs unless you have intent to adopt one. I visited with my mother with intent to adopt a cat/kitten

Lovely Animal Shelter. Was greeted kindly as soon as I walked in the door. I was given a tour of the entire facility. Such a beautiful, well maintained set up. All of the animals under their care seemed content and well cared for, which goes a long way in saying for an animal shelter, knowing how stressed of an environment it can be for each orphaned pet, regardless how well maintained they are. None of them looked depressed!

Cove was amazing with helping us foster then adopt our first dog. They really took the time to answer our questions, and they helped with questions I didnt think to ask (like checking for food guarding to protect our cat and child). The folks truly care about the animals. What I greatly appreciate is their honesty. There was no trying to hide which animals wouldnt be good for a kid or those that would take extra work to care for. Our pitty has been with us for over a year now, and I couldnt be happier.

The woman who runs this place needs help. I had a friend volunteer here and watched her lie through her teeth about the cats they had, kittens that were adoptable, “hoarding” animals, telling the same sob story about different animals to different people that came in. My friend had to stop working there it was too painful to watch. Now I have a friend looking for an ESA who was lied to about the cats condition and how long they’d been there (was told a couple of days, turns out it’d been WEEKS since the cat was brought to the shelter), and the cat is obviously not adjusting well. Cute pets and seem to be taken care of, if you can get to them. Horrible adopting out process in general. Would absolutely not recommend. RUN!!

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I just called this rescue (this is the closest rescue or shelter to me) because I found a cat that has been coming by my apartment that usually has a collar. I wanted to take her in to get scanned for a microchip but they told me that this cat isnt their problem. How is this a rescue and this cat is not their problem? So much for a rescue and wanting to help locate the family that is missing their cat.

Very warm atmosphere. The animals are well loved and cared for. My daughter and my friend have collected and donated items for the animal. Very nice place.

My som and I visited facility for philanthropic reasons and were very impressed with care and comfort provided to the cats and dogs sheltered there. Please donate if you can help this wonderful organization and facility.

Amazing place. Volunteered here today for the first time to look after the animals. Well worth a visit if youre looking to adopt or just pet cats!

Really nice place & amazing ppl there, although I didnt find a dog that matched my needs,I came out with lots of great info with regards to other rescues that may fit my needs

Cage free shelter! Volunteers and staff are all very kind, animals are clearly well taken care of and loved! They do boarding too!

Though we didnt find the right pet for us. The staff were very knowledgeable and willing to help us pick the right pet for us. Highly recommended.

Cove Animal Rescue is a wonderful place full of dedicated workers and volunteers. They strive hard to keep improving the place for the betterment of the animals!!!!

Ten years ago we adopted a cat from this place and ten years later she is just as sweet❤️
