Our experience with Sachem Animal Hospital has been nothing but amazing. Dr. Adams has been seeing our cat Henry and has helped tremendously. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring and we really appreciate his expertise and help with a diagnosis for Henry. Any questions we have had he has spoken to us directly and made sure we fully understand the process. We could not recommend a better vet!

Amazing Doctors and staff ! Shout out to Dr Kim and Tech Jessica. Who helped me when no one else would. They took on the task of removing severe mats from my 16-year-old cat. Many places told me he was too old and it was dangerous. Dr and Jessica warned me that They werent sure how far they could go but would do the best they could. One hour later, my fuzzy Wuzzy came out looking brand new!!! With no cuts to his skin! He looks so good and I am forever indebted to them for the great care and concern that they had for him.. This was our first time coming to The Sachem Animal hospital. I had seen many good things on Facebook and was looking for a new vet for our 14 year old male tabby cat. Their staff was very kind, helpful and informative. Dr Addams was really great. He listens to you, he seems to really care about your pet and enjoy his job. He has cats of his own and gave his input and ideas which were helpful. Our cat Jack seemed very calm and relaxed while there too. Dr. Addams called the next day with test results just like he said he would. The building itself is an older house converted to a basic doctor’s office but it worked. We will absolutely go back if needed in the future. Thank you to everyone for accepting Jack into your practice. 😀

We could not be happier with the kindness and compassion we have experienced from the Doctors and staff at Sachem Animal Hospital. We recently lost our older dog and the Doctors and staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout the process, from booking a final Quality of Life visit, guidance through an incredibly hard decision, patience in giving us time to say our final goodbyes, and even offering us paw prints and molds as keepsakes. Thank you so much for making an incredibly hard day a little bit easier. Our younger pup will continue to be treated here so hopefully he can reach the age of 16 and a half too.

Weve used Sachem Animal Hospital for years and have always been very happy with the care and compassion showed to our pets, and to us. Dr. Myers and all of the staff have been fantastic at every step, and I recommend them wholeheartedly to everyone I meet who needs care for their pets.

Caring, down to earth and friendly staff. They genuinely care about your pets. There have been times where I needed them urgently to care for my fur babies & were there every single time for my family and I. Last April, I had to say goodbye to one of my dogs unexpectedly and the staff was extremely caring and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

Chip and Chili had a very pleasant visit with doctor Kim and all the friendly polite staff there. Both dogs were so timid and scare upon arrival for there annual visit, but everyone made them feel so very safe that they quickly calm down. Dr. Kim is so very kind and caring.

I will be taking my pets here from now on. We went for a second opinion on my dogs skin infection and the vet ACTUALLY did tests and went over treatment in great detail. I left feeling heard and we had a plan in place for her care. I am so happy to now have a go to vet office that actually cares.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Sachem Animal Hospital for over a decade. Everyone who works there is kind, helpful, and compassionate. I’ve never felt pushed into any treatment. Especially with our eldest dog, who is 17 years old. No matter which vet you see, they are all fantastic and will help you make the best decisions for you and your beloved fur family member.

We are new in town and needed a new vet. First thing, I love the hours makes our lives easier because we have a baby now. Secondly, making the appointment was so easy, we were given an appointment soon enough without waiting for a whole week. Thirdly, the day of the appointment my husband took our dog to the appointment and came back VERY happy. He said the Dr. was really good and took good care of our dog Also mentioned the staff was really caring with our dog. Also, our dog is doing so much better with the meds the dr. Prescribed. Lastly, I felt so happy so to hear this because we needed a vet. Thank you for the great service!

Ive been bringing my pets to Sachem Animal Hospital for years, including my dog Rudy and my two cats, Stella and Mindy. While the vets are competent, scheduling is convenient, and the wait times are generally reasonable, my recent experiences have made me question their business practices and pricing.For example, I was charged $380 for a Cytopoint injection for my 90-lb dog. After going to VCA Farmingville Animal Hospital for the same treatment, I was shocked to see their price was less than half—$184.75. This level of price disparity feels like price gouging, plain and simple.Additionally, they have recommended unnecessary procedures in the past, such as IV fluids for my underweight but otherwise healthy cat and systemic antibiotics for minor skin issues. These recommendations, while likely well-intentioned, often seemed excessive and added to the mounting costs of care.While I do appreciate the convenience and the skill of the veterinarians, these positives are overshadowed by the excessive pricing and what feels like a tendency to upsell treatments. It’s disappointing, as I’ve trusted them with my pets for years.For anyone considering this clinic, I would recommend asking questions about costs and the necessity of treatments. If youre on a budget or concerned about pricing, it might be worth exploring other options.

The most caring and professional staff. Our dog Bosco was very sick at 11 years old. The staff was not only professional but very personable and made our decision not to allow him to be in any pain very comfortable with professionalism and compassion .the doctor explained everything in great detail. I could not thank them enough during this heartbreaking time.

Our sweet Gabana health was failing & we had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep. We brought our sweet girl to Sachem Animal Hospital which has been caring for her. The staff was very sympathetic & kind to us during this difficult time. They gave us as much time with her before & after. They made 2 beautiful paw prints for us & sent a card a few days later. Dr Blakely has been taking care of my two cats for a little over a year. I brought my one cat in for a second opinion, out of desperation because he was very sick and not getting better despite spending thousands of dollars at another vet for tests. Dr Blakely identified potentially what was wrong with my cat based on all the previous tests he had and started him on medication. He truly my cat’s life. The staff are also kind, compassionate and not afraid to handle a grumpy, growly cat.

We love Sachem Animal Hospital! It is a group of caring, kind and patient people. The front desk staff are always helpful and recognize Chloe when she comes in. All of the doctors are thoughtful and knowledgable. We see Dr. Blakely predominantly and he is great! He has helped us tremendously with our dog and has a great demeanor and is very personable. We are confident in and more than happy with him and all of Sachem.

So far they have been the best place weve brought our dog to. Weve lived in 3 different states over the past 3 years and have met a ton of great vets for our pup but these people have been the best. Its a small place so if you have an antisocial pet just be aware you may have to pay extra attention (or if theyre extremely social). Theres a small area outside if they need to conduct business prior to entering and weve never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen when having an appointment. The staff here are knowledgeable and very caring. Highly recommended.

Words cannot express how happy and grateful I am that I found this place and the wonderful people who work in it. I recently lost my cat of 13 years to stomach cancer. The vets were wonderful with taking care of her up until her last days, and even during the gut wrenching decision and process of humane euthanasia. The doctor I took her to personally took time out to write a short note on the condolences card we received. I have had pets in the past be put down, and never has a vet personally written anything inside. These people truly care about the animals, and the owners too. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve been coming here for almost 7 years and will continue to do so.

I just want to thank Dr. Blakely for his care and compassion for my dog, Tiberius. Unfortunately, my dog had a chronic condition but throughout the many years of visiting Sachem Animal Hospital, Dr. Blakely always did what was his best for him. He also took the time to explain what was going on and always asked if I had any questions. Combined with the fact that the appointments never felt rushed, I am happy using them for many years to come.

Dr. Adam’s was absolutely amazing!! He was very helpful and informative during his exam and post exam when giving us results of lab work and tests! He truly is compassionate and calmed our nerves being first puppy owners and he’s gone above and beyond helping our little fur babe. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!! They are absolutely awesome and I will be switching to this group permanently as my puppy’s primary vet!!

My cat is an elderly female (19+) and she does not seem to stress when we leave her at the Pet Hotel. The staff love her and take good care of her. When Sunrise Vet Group in West Islip stopped offering the boarding service, I was glad to find Sachem Pet Hotel. This is the only place in the area that is even willing to take an older cat.

I have always loved Sachem Animal Hospital. I brought my last dog there for an emergent care visit and felt my dog was really cared for. I could not have been happier. I never went back to my previous veterinarian after that visit. I have only seen Dr. Blakely and he has a great bedside manner. You can tell he cares about your pet and he always keeps it real. Dr. Blakely will never suggest additional tests, labs, etc. that are unnecessary. The staff is welcoming, kind, and helpful. The costs are not prohibitive so there is no scary surprise at the end of the appointment. Sachem Animal Hospital is the only veterinary practice I will ever trust with the care of my pet.

We live sachem animal hospital. Nicest people...they really care! If I was them I would invest some money into the place to make it look more updated. That doesnt mean as much as take care for you and your pet. Just a friendly suggestion because of the foofy people out there.

Dr. R. Blakely is very thorough, spends more time in explaining whatever issues we have for our pet, compassionate, shows empathy to us, parents of Charlie and really knowledgeable veterinarian. He and his staff especially Barbara, Gaile and Yuki would call me back if I have any questions pertaining to the health issue of my pawboy. We can’t thankhim enough for bringing another second chance of Charlie’s life. He is the best.

In the last two months I switched vets and started taking my 1 year old Pitbull to Sachem Animal Hospital and I absolutely love it! Dr. Corso and the staff here are absolutely amazing. I really feel that they care for my dog and want what is best for her.

They were very accommodating and respectful. We lost our beloved companion and it was a very difficult time for my family. They gave us privacy, comfort and understanding as we said goodbye to our precious bulldog, Sandy. They reviewed our options with us and were very compassionate throughout our visit. Very dedicated they helped my Misty she was very sick I called & got an appointment the same day. Very professional but a bit too expensive. They were amazing when it came to treating my Brandy she is a puggle who had an anal abscess & anal gland infection. She was in bad pain & her rear end was horrible. Dr. Blakely was amazing & caring & listens when the pet parent talks. He treated Brandy as well as Misty. I really like him & will continue to use this particular vet. I still stand by saying its a bit too expensive. I wish they were more reasonable with their prices like if you have multiple pets you get a discount. I will still use Dr. Blakely Brandy & Misty like him too. I had to go to the vet with my new pup Missy she fractured her toenail & was in pain I called them @ 6:15pm they fitted me in Dr. Kim was excellent with Missy she needed the nail numbed & clipped & cauterize he was very nice & kept Missy & me calm I will forever be appreciated for them taking her right away

I have been a Sachem Animal Hospital client for more than 24 years now, with all of our cats and dogs being taken care of by Dr. Weisman until he retired. We also worked with Dr. Camay several times and he was equal to Dr. Weisman in almost every way. We are now using Dr. Adams who has proven himself as compassionate, qualified, and as friendly and accommodating as Dr. Weisman had been for so many years. We do Miss Dr. Weisman, but Dr. Adams has proven himself to us beyond any doubts. I have no direct experience with any other of the Drs. but is they are working at Sachem, I have no problem recommending them as well. All the people there, from reception to vet-techs, to Doctors, are all as friendly, accommodating, and compassionate as the rest.Sachem Animal Hospital = HIGHLY Recommended.

I couldn’t speak more highly about the Drs and staff at Sachem Animal hospital. If it’s annual wellness exams or sick visits they truly care for each and every animal and their needs as well as yours. Always thorough when it comes to explaining options and truly in tune with your ability financially when offering treatment options! We love Dr Blakely and Dr Adam’s!

While not a regular patient, they saw my 13 year old dog on an emergency basis. The staff and Dr. Kim could not have been any nicer or caring to Clooney. I will definitely bring him back here.

I recently brought my rescue in for her first visit and while she came with some paperwork from her past, it was like a puzzle trying to connect the dots of her days before she became a member of our family. The woman who checked us in took so much time to sift through each paper thoroughly and create a chart that made sense for our girl. My husband and I were just so thankful for her kindness, patience and willingness to work through it all. In addition, the vet we met with was incredible.. so personable and really took his time answering all of our questions and getting to know our girl. Dr. Adams is an amazing vet. I had a 14 yo toy poodle I adopted who was very sick with congestive heat failure. Dr. Adams spends time with you to explain the illness, go over treatment options and is genuinely concerned about the life of the animal. He was very attentive to my god Brownie and even me when I was crying knowing Brownie was living out her last days. I have been to a few vets but I am not content and lucky to have Dr. Adams who cares about the quality of life of your pet, cares about your concerns, and has overall compassion. One more important thing - he is fair with his pricing and isnt motivated (like many others) to jack up your bill but rather motivated by oath he took as a vet. Dr. Adams is a kind soul and we are lucky to have him as a vet. Thank you Sachem Animal hospital staff for being there for Brownie - Thank you and blessing to you Dr. Adams.

What an incredible veterinary practice.The staff are kind, accommodating, and willing to listen when we have worries or questions.The doctors know their stuff and are so supportive even through the most difficult times.Everyone here takes care of you and your family as if their own.I could not recommend this place enough and will travel to keep bringing my family here for years to come.

We have been going to Sachem animal hospital since they opened we have used Dr Blakely had treated our cat Lucky when he was sick and our dog Bella when she was sick,they crossed over the rainbow Bridge.We have a rescue cat name James who Dr Blakely treated him for his ears,we had to bring him in the other day and we had to use Dr Adams he was just as wonderful as Dr Blakely,my family goes to Sachem as well!!!!.

Excellent veterinarian clinic. We are relatively new clients (< 6 months) and we couldn’t be happier. The staff takes exceptional care of our dog. They are very responsive, and quick to take your pet in if they every have an type of emergency. The veterinarians are all so kind, explain the medical conditions clearly, and give you an idea what to expect. The clinic has great hours to accommodate those who work Monday - Friday (late hours some evenings and open on Saturday’s). Of course due to Covid we cannot enter the clinic yet, but that is expected due to the restrictions with the pandemic. Very happy with the service here!

Dr Blakely is the Vet to see. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, and saves animals! Also Barbara Danielle and Sue are my girls. Theyve been through some stuff with me and are very attentive to my needs.

I had to pick up medication for my dog and when I called I was greeted Sachem Animal Hospital, is this an emergency? Or can I place you on a brief hold?.... And the receptionist actually waited for me to answer. Ive called Drs offices where they answer hold please and just throw you on hold without even finding out if it was possibly an emergency. There staff from Drs (who personally called to check in on my dog when he went through something traumatic) down to reception are top notch! Office and waiting area are always immaculately clean. I cant imagine taking my animals anywhere else.

Dr Kim was wonderful. So kind so knowledgeable and so helpful. Love this veterinarian. Will be a life long go to 👍❤️

This vet is awesome and so glad I chose them in caring for the health of my new puppy. Dr. Lissman is a gem and is always so warm and friendly, and genuinely happy to see my puppy every time he visits, which really puts him at ease since he’s a little shaky. The staff is just as warm and friendly as well. I only trust this veterinarian, and I have been to other “well-known” ones in the past with previous pets. They are also the only ones who can successfully cut his nails as he gets insanely traumatized when we try to do it at home. Five stars all the way!!

Dr. Meyers and the staff were wonderfully accommodating when we had an emergency with our puppy.They fit us right in with Dr Meyers being so attentive to give me updates every step of the way. They are absolutely amazing and we are so grateful to have them as our veterinary team for our dog.

Just got a new kitten after being without a pet in the house for a long time. I live alone and my son thought I needed something to love, so he got me my Mia. He was absolutely right. I had forgotten the joy of having a pet. She just fills my heart. I made an appointment at Sachem where I was totally new to. I read their reviews and felt good then made an appointment. When I got there they checked me in from my car, okay no problem. They asked for my New Patient Form so they knew I had never been there before and said a Tech will be out shortly. They wanted to take Mia without me, wouldnt let me in or even let me talk to anyone. No one told me what they were going to do for Mia, what the very first visit even entailed, nothing. I did not let Sachem take care of Mia since they seemed not to care at all about new patients unfamiliar with their doctors, staff and facility. Would you leave your pet with someone you didnt know. One question for the staff at Sachem Animal Hospital, wheres your compassion?

Dr Myers is great with my dog to the point then during covid when u waited in your car for your appointment and my dog saw him come out to another car he had to always come say hi to Ruffy to say hi...have never had any complaints about the service at the vets office...thank you for always taking great care of my dog

I brought Delilah, my 5 yrs old Rottweiler here, because for 3 days she was lethargic and not eating. Her intake of water had increased tremendously, which made her urinate frequently. I met with Dr Adams and he had diagnosed her with Pyometra and informed that she needed to have surgery preformed. I felt that Dr Adams had presented what would be the best treatment for her, he did so in a professional and soothing manner. He educated me by showing her x-ray and lab results and explained what the protocol that would be performed on her and her after care. Dr Kim and Dr Adams preformed Delilahs surgery and I was notified immediately of her after surgery condition. When it was time to take her home, Dr. Adams gave me the much needed time to explain the after care for her and what would be the normal healing pressure. The following morning Dr Kim called to see how she was doing. I knew then I had made the right decision then. Some time had past and Cynthia also called to follow up on her care. I was sold I was ready to see if they could be my primary, for my personal care. After such a positive, and professional experience I know that Sachem Animal Hospital and their amazing staff well deserved 5 stars if not more.Most grateful,John S Heredia

So I meant to write this sooner but we ended up having to say goodbye to our beloved pet and couldnt imagine thinking about it more than I had to but this place deserves some recognition. We had to take our dog Bailey here when she started to get sick and I really cant say enough kind things about them.First of all, they communicate with the pet owners which I feel a lot of other places dont do as well. Even with COVID, they come out to your car every step of the way to inform you of what theyre going to do and how much it will cost. They are completely transparent about pricing which is so important to me, as sometimes vet costs can be pricey. We had Dr. Myers who was so nice and professional, I really cant thank him enough for how great he was.Second of all, they are some of the kindest professionals I have ever worked with. They understood how emotional it was for us to watch our dog struggling and handled her and us with so much compassion and care. They were realistic and gave honest feedback and recommendations. They ended up recommending us take her to VMCLI, which was also a great place that tried their best (even though it unfortunately did not work out).Last of all, they are wonderful with booking appointments. We had to bring Bailey in all week when she wasnt responding to medication and they squeezed us in every time to make sure she was seen. We just got a new puppy and they ended up moving her first appointment up too due to some concerns we had.Everyone here is professional and compassionate. If youre looking to switch over to a new vet, I highly recommend this place.

We brought our Labradoodle for her first grooming at Sachem Pet Day Spa and we’re thrilled! Rachel the groomer did an amazing job, really provided our pup the utmost love and TLC! Absolutely recommend!!

Thank you for the great care of our 3 precious fur-babies!! They came out super, super-excited to see us and of course are glad to be back home, but they are relaxed and healthy and not smelly!, altho the weather was wet and miserable! It was only 2 nights but they have not been away from home in a long time so we were worried they would return upset, but they look great and their feeding and bathroom schedules are perfectly intact! Having used the day-care a few times I think also helped our youngest, largest dog feel more secure and at ease, and we always request at least one hr of playtime per day in 15 minute intervals to be certain they get lots of attention, exercise and interaction. Great team!!! Truly love the pups!! Thanks again!!

Prior to 2 years ago I went to this practice for over 10 years and several pets. Since being sold they will not stop soliciting me (I usually have multiple dogs). It’s worse than the robo scam calls. I would never use their services again. I have called, unsubscribed, etc. I will now be reaching out due to their violation of the CAN-SPAM Act of corporate solicitation to the FTC. Insanity. You are a vet there is no need to telemarket. Also, any review prior to 18 months is under the old ownership. It is now been sold and is no longer a local vet hospital it is corporately owned. I personally use Townline Vet now. Much better service and some of the old Docs from the precorperate days are there.

I’ve brought my four cats to Sachem for the last 14 years and have been bringing my dog there for 2 years. I absolutely love this hospital and how genuine they are. They always help us keep calm even in emergency situations and never overcharge. They never push medication on us that isn’t necessary and always give alternatives. The doctors are so caring and down to earth, and they love the animals, not the money. I would recommend Sachem Animal Hospital to anyone who’s looking for reliable and affordable care for their pets.

I have had animals all my life so I have met many vets. Dr.Blakely is AMAZING! He has been there every step of the way for my cat. He has squeezed us in when he was completely booked, looked for anyway he could help with saving us money, he even took X-rays of my cat (who has a tumor in her mouth ) while she was being boarded just for his own knowledge. He has helped us out tremendously, you can tell he has a big heart and truly cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond! I’m very fortunate to have him as my vet. If youre thinking that medical care for your pet is cheap, then dont get a pet. Just as with people medical care, it costs. That said, we have been using Sachem Animal Hospital for decades and have always had wonderful experiences. All of the vets are highly skilled, well versed, and take great care in handling all the members of our family. From Sue, whos been there for years and keeps tabs on every human in the family, to the newest doctors and techs, there is not one person I wouldnt trust my four legged friends to. The staff is professional and welcoming and I wouldnt even consider going anywhere else.

We have bought our wonderful loved pets to Sachem Animal Hospital for over 35 plus years. I feel a close relationship to Sachem and I have been with Dr. Lissman for all of them. My daughters to while they were living here. I count on him to give the best care possible and trust him to do so. I can call him for anything and know he will be there. I too feel very comfortable in in the office and everyone else there.

We brought our dog Lily to the Sachem Animal Hospital on 11/29/22. She was deathly sick. She could not walk or keep her eyes open and had labored Breathing. Her urine smelled bad and had blood in it and she had a fever over 104. I thought we were going there to put her to sleep. Dr. Myers examined Lily and he was the most kindest friendly Veterinarian I ever met. He thoroughly examined Lily gave her some injections including an antibiotic. Lily was diagnosed with a severe Urinary Tract infection and her breasts were infected. Dr. Myers also prescribed a 14 day antibiotic regimen. After 3 days Lily was alert walking eating and on a full road to recovery. She is not 100 percent, but Dr Myers saved Lily’s life. I wholeheartedly recommend Sachem Animal Hospital and am grateful and thankful for Dr. Myers. Ted Severino

We are on our 4th dog with Sachem Animal Hospital and would never use another. The staff is wonderful, from the girls at the front desk, the vet techs and the doctors. I cannot say enough about their professionalism and kindness. Dr. Lissman has been with all our dogs through thick and thin and has been very caring. Sue is a sweetheart and took great care of our dog who went through chemo, comforting him during the long days. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sachem Animal Hospital. They are the best!

The best animal hospital Ive ever been too. My cat had to go in for surgery. They took the best care of her and gave us regular updates to let us know how she was doing. They saved her life and shes doing wonderful now.

Dr. Myers is very nice and very gentle with my dog. I didnt have to wait long for my appointment.

We brought our dog here and while they were kind and professional during our visit they issued us medication that helped our dog but wont issue refills and expect us to pay for a monthly visit and the medication while our friends vet issues 6 months - 1 year refills. Not going to be coming here again all they want is your money

Dr. Kim and staff are wonderful. They explain things thoroughly and give options for treatment. My cat, Riley, was not happy to be there, but they were gentle with her and she remained calm. I highly recommend them.

The people at Sachem animal hospital are so nice. I feel that they are very honest about what they can and cant do, and they always take as much time as you need in explaining things. When I recently had an emergency with one of my dogs who needed to be euthanized and it was prior to business hours they called a vet to come in early so I wouldnt have to make him wait or be forced to take him somewhere unfamiliar. Really nice practice.

I started bringing my puppy to Sachem about a year ago and could not be more happy! All of the vets and staff are fantastic and truly care about your furbaby. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I wont take my pup anywhere else!

Place could use a serious update. Apart from that, front desk staff were extremely nice and immediately tried to make our dog Nash feel comfortable. Dr. Shivers was extremely professional and courteous but I couldnt say the same about the tech working with her. I dont know if maybe she was having an off day but she seemed to be a bit rough handling my dog when holding him down. I do fully understand that the pet has to be held down so they can examine him but I just felt that the way he was handled couldve been approached differently. He cried as if he were being hurt. Again Im not trying to put anyone off from going here as staff was extremely professional and super courteous and nice, I just didnt feel that the tech gave my dog the warm comfort you normally get from vet staff.

I had an emergency visit with my cat that I ended up being late to because I wrote down the wrong time. The receptionist told me that he was booked and I would have to wait 3 hours for the next open spot. Dr. Adams came over to my car and personally told me that he would take care of Linus and I wouldn’t have to wait for the 3 hours. He took care of Linus with true compassion and thoroughness without comprising the care of his other patients. He accurately diagnosed Linus and put him on medication to relieve his symptoms. As well as his professionalism, he was truly concerned about Linus’ well being. I would definitely book him again.

Doctor and nurse were both great. Bc of covid Dr. Had to speak to me outside and take my pet inside while I waited but both before and after the appointment he came out and spoke to me for close to 10 minutes explaining everything in depth. I live a few blocks away so before going for my first time I was hoping they would be good but they far exceeded my expectations. Will be bringing my pet back here regularly for all visits!

Amazing doctors you will not leave feeling worried or left wondering if your pet had the best care. Biggest issue is the prices are extremely high. I was told my pup was able to be fixed in and out but they then broke down I need to pay just for him to come in $80 then to be assessed which is another charge and then to fix him I would have to come back pay $80 again then the procedure is 450 to 700 and thats just insane. Im having it done with a trusted vet for $160 which covers the visit the surgery pre surgical meds and meds to take home.

Dr. Lissmann and staff are always professional, friendly and genuinely care about and understand our dogs needs. Our Seymour is now 10 years old and we have only had positive experiences at Sachem Animal Hospital. We would never even consider bringing Seymour any where else.

Im not from around here but they gave me an immediate appointment when my dog got a bad ear infection. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the vet techs were so nice and calming, and I loved the vet. He explained everything with options. The price was also very reasonable. Went here for the first time Monday to get a devastating diagnosis for my boy Logan the cat. I brought him home to pamper and love. But Tuesday it was time to say good by. As a new patient we were treated like family immediately. They were professional yet compassionate. I felt like they all mourned with me. Sleep well Logan 💖😢

Definately recommend. Staff were all very nice and very caring. Reasonable pricing too. We brought our daughter in laws mustache parakeet in for a check-up. While we were there, several people came in with different types of found babies.. bunnies, squirrels, kittens... They had no problem taking them in and caring for them all.

Walked in with my pet, he did what dogs normally do by greeting another dog and the receptionist was very nasty and unprofessional. She yelled to me to keep my dog away from other dogs. He is up to Date on his vaccines and needed to be seen for having seizures. Hes not violent and a puppy that wanted to sniff the other dog which he did. She told me she didnt have any available appointments so he couldnt be seen. As a parent when our children get sick or hurt we take then to be seen. I felt so hurt and disrespected in that place. I changed the Vet to another one in Sayville on his insurance. I would never go back and wouldnt recommend this place to any of my friends.

Weve been going to Sachem Animal Hospital for as long as weve had our dog (9&1/2 years) and will continue to as long as we have him. Every vet there is great at what they do - informed and personable. The whole staff is kind and easy going. Its obvious they are all in it because they love animals and, even more so, care for the people who own them.Very recently Dr. Lissman performed an incredible surgery on our dog, removing an enormous tumor that had ruptured from his chest. We thought we would have to put him down, as the surgery came with real risks. Dr. Lissman was cautiously optimistic that he could remove the mass. He did just that, and its like my dog is a puppy again. Ive not seen him in as good of spirits as this in years. He and Dr. Ginley were so good to us during the whole process, always comprehensive and honest in their approach. I am very grateful for what theyve done for us. They have my highest recommendation.

Great vets office, very compassionate, everyone was really nice and understanding. They were quick and thorough, and they were not that expensive. Will not take my cat anywhere else now.

I’m very disappointed. I’ve had good experiences there, but this blows my mind. We wanted our cat groomed(hair cut) and it’s nails cut and they quoted us around $500 total. The reason it costs so much is because the vet refuses to groom a cat unless it’s sedated and they draw blood(that’s what they told us ) even if the cats bloodwork is on file and less then 1 year old and up to date on shots!!! Stranger part, they don’t put dogs under to groom, only kittens. So I could bring a pit bull or something and that’s fine, but my kitten needs to be sedated? I pray they find a new groomer because they told us the groomer refuses to groom cats without being put under, but dogs are ok. Until they have new groomers I will never use that place for a grooming. My other experiences were amazing and the staff was incredible. Sadly this did ruin my standards for them though.

Sachem Animal Hospital is the best! The staff is always so kind and helpful. They always try to accommodate us. Both Dr. Corso and Dr. Myers are the most caring and gentle doctors Ive met. One of my cats, Ebony, had mammary cancer and Dr. Corso quickly diagnosed and operated on her twice and saved her life. She recovered so quickly without any complications. Our other cat, Elvis, was saved by Dr. Myers who quickly responded to our emergency and sent us off to the emergency room. He would call us weekly to see how Elvis was doing. That simple act of kindness and concern will always be remembered. We will always be grateful to Dr. Corso and Dr. Myers. They truly care and are so compassionate. It is evident how much they love what they do.

I have taken my animals to this hospital for the past 30 years, and they have consistently received excellent medical care. Dr. Camay answers all questions, and calls back on the telephone when he says he will. The staff is pleasant and courteous, and seem to truely like animals. More importantly, my dogs seem to like the staff at Sachem Animal Hospital.

Dr. Corso is a great vet only reason I was going here. But the ladies behind the front desk are horrible and after today’s visit I will not bring my dog their ever again I’ve complained multiple time to what my knowledge was management and nothing ever happens and the lady with the short blonde hair at the front desk that always has a puss on her face is there worst employee and should have been fired months ago when she switched my dogs doctor to give him the business instead of my regular doctor. Bottom line if you care about you pets take them elsewhere.. because they don’t.

Today was my first visit to the Sachem Animal Hospital. I was referred by my neice who said they were amazing in how they handled putting their dog, Daisy, to sleep. She said that they were compassionate and made the process as bearable as can be. Today I brought my 18 year old LabChow Mackie and they not only took me in on short notice just 2 hours after I called, the professionalism they displayed was remarkable. They explained everything to me in detail and I never felt as though they were just going through the motions despite them being so busy. I know Mackie is getting on in years but hes as sweet a dog as can be and I know Ill enjoy whatever time we have left together. Thank you to the kind folks at the Sachem Animal Hospital, and Mackie thanks you too.

The Sachem animal hospital provides excellent care for your pets. They are competitive in price and compassion for the owner as well. We have been with the animal hospital for over 20 years and they’ve always been there for us providing excellent care. I highly recommend Them.

I have taken my cats and my 2 dogs to Sachem Animal Hospital since 1993. All the Drs., and the staff have been extremely professional, and were always very compassionate towards me and my furry-kids. Some of my visits have been for routine care. Others for emergencies when I came running down with my Boston Terrier who had just swallowed some foreign object, or my cat when she fell over on her side. I always felt that if I could just get there, everything would be taken care of; and it was.Recently, Molly, my 4 month old puppy ate a couple of tiny flower blossoms on the new plant I was bringing home to plant outside. As I arrived home, she started to vomit and retch over and over. I grabbed the label from the plant, and her and rushed to this Vet. When I arrived, it was during the noon to 3 pm time when patients are not seen. Dr. Corso was located and immediately took my puppy. He determined that the plant was poison and worked with the Vet on the other end of the ASPCA Poison Control Line in getting the protocol to administer to Molly.I was calmed down by the office staff, and Molly was hydrated, and ministered to in the complete facility that makes up this full-service hospital. This plant could cause heart problems in dogs if treatment wasnt started quickly. With his quick actions and calming presence, Molly recovered and is still trying to eat flowers today, as a healthy 5 month old puppy.Over the years, Dr. Lissman has guided me in the care of my two cats and my two dogs. The first ones of each had a long life, and I am on the second pet of each kind. He not only is a top-notch Veterinarian, keeping up with all the latest research, but he implements it in his practice. I have even brought in articles to discuss something I have read with him. Always ready with a smile from him and the other people who work here, I feel like I have entered my living room, rather than the Vets Office.I never hesitate to call or bring in my pets to the Vet. I know they and I will be treated with compassion, the best health services I can get for them, and that they have a true love for these little beings of love.

He personally called to tell me that the blood work came back normal and then called me again to see how Skyler was doing. I just have one word for this place amazing. Thursday was the first time I brought my almost 8 year old cat Fred to be seen in your office. I was back and forth with a former vets office multiple times over the last few months, always feeling like I was never getting the treatment I felt my cat needed. I kept feeling like his symptoms were just being temporarily masked, each time leading his symptoms to become more profound. When I brought Fred to his former vets office on Wednesday night he was drooling, he hadn’t eaten in 24 hours, he had no energy and I swore he was dying. I left that vets office in tears and cried the whole night, truly feeling that I was going to lose my cat. He was sent home with no treatment plan and I knew If I wanted to save my cat, I needed to seek a second opinion. Thursday morning, my cat still was not eating nor drinking. I called Sachem Animal Hospital at 8:00am, as soon as they opened. The level of customer service I received on the phone as a new patient was phenomenal. I was offered an appointment that same day, and they were so accommodating to me and my concerns. I arrived at my appointment, and walking in I could tell it was a warm and friendly atmosphere, and instantly my worries began to subside. I was called into the exam room and I was greeted by Dr. Ginley. I can’t say enough good things about her. The way she examined my cat, she was so thorough and explaining everything she was doing and why. She gave us multiple options as routes to take to find out as best as we could what was going on with Fred. She wasn’t pushy and she really listened to my concerns. The way Dr. Ginley and her assistant handled Fred, I could see their compassion and devotion to their jobs. Dr. Ginley made what seemed to be a heart wrenching appointment the previous night with the previous vet, become such a positive appointment that day. Dr. Ginley provided me with medication and a treatment plan to follow over the next two weeks. The amount of improvement I’ve already seen in Fred since going to see Dr. Ginley is beyond AMAZING! I haven’t seen this amount of energy, interest in food, and pure happiness in Fred in MONTHS! I am SO happy that I found Sachem Animal Hospital and Dr. Ginley. I truly believe they helped save my cat ❤️ I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done in just 1 day of being a patient there. I feel truly blessed to have found Sachem Animal Hospital. It’s so comforting to know that Fred will now forever be in good hands at Sachem Animal Hospital, and with Dr. Ginley! Thank you ALL!!

Dr. Blakely and the entire staff is amazing..

I started going to Scachem Animal Hospital about 2.5 years ago after my TFT went miss diagnossed for two weeks at another hospital I used. The staff was so nice and kind. I saw Dr. Corso who with seconds of examining my baby know exactly what was wrong. She had bladder stones. He did surgery other that day and she was fine. After her well check a week later she was diagnosed with diabetes. Doctor Corso was so companionate and amazing with her and me. Again she was diagnosed within the hour of being there. Then unfortunately in April 2017 I brought her I because she didnt want to eat. Dr. Corso again diagnosed her with potential cancer. Which was confirmed after a biopsy a few days later. It was devestaing to me but again the staff was super. Sadly on August 10, 2017 I took her back to be put to sleep. I didnt see Dr. Corso that day. But one of the owners took care of my baby. He was kind, caring and companionate. They wrapped Ed in her favorite blanket. They gave me a sympathy card and her paw print in a leather covers book on them. They also put her in a box for me to take her home. As broken hearted as I was Sachem Animal Hospital was amazing to me and my family. The best Anamal Hospiatl I ah e ever ne to. I have three other dogs and I will tell you they will never go anywhere else. Thank you all and God Bless!

My dog Pookie was a very aggressive Jack Russell.....He was part of our family for 12 years and was always an aggressive dog to everyone but me.I had to have him put down this past Saturday and I cant tell you how wonderful the vet and the staff were. They truly are a very compassionate team of people and are wonderful with the animals. I recommend them to everyone who has an animal.I truly miss my dog....he was my buddy and I will live with this void for a long time to come. One of the hardest, saddest days of my life :(

I have been going to sachem since they opened their doors. ALL my dogs have had wonderful care. They have treated them and me with respect,They staff has been great and caring.The Drs have been there for all my dogs needs.They always explain everything.I have a dog that is now 16. They didnt think she would live out the year. Thru their dedication and knowledge they pulled her through this crisis and she has thrived all these years under their care.

I started going to Sachem Animal Hospital hearing how they took care of my parents elderly dog. They had to put her down and the hospital staff was very empathetic and supportive.I now go to Sachem Animal Hospital on a regular basis for my 4 year old dog. Dr. Corso has always been very informative about issues that arise and takes the time to explain all possible solutions. Hes also been understanding and accomodating to budget constraints.Hands down, I would recommend Dr. Corso to family and friends.

After bringing my cat to this veterinary clinic, I would not recommend anybody to ever go to them. The owner, while he appears nice is quite dishonest and elusive when it comes to the billing practices of his firm. While it is true that he seems knowledgeable in his field, his business practices are dishonest and unacceptable.In order to obtain travel documentation for my cat for the 22nd of December I brought her in on October 29. Before ever doing any testing, or vaccinations, I inquired whether I would be able to obtain these papers without having to pay for another visit, because my girlfriend and I will be gone for 2.5 weeks and needed to be sure the documents would last through that period of time given the TSAs strict animal policies. I was assured by the vet, who is also the owner of the practice, that it would not be a problem, and that I could simply come in and, FREE OF CHARGE, receive the proper documentation to keep my cat secure and ready for travel. As a result of said assurances (which for anyone in the future, I would advise getting in writing), my girlfriend and I decided to go ahead with the checkup, vaccinations, and tests which ended up costing over $300.Fast forward to today, I followed up and brought my cat in to get the travel documentation necessary, and contrary to his promise in October, I was billed $50, a generous discount, as he billed it only as a follow-up. Had he been honest up front, I would have left and brought back my animal at the proper time to avoid a double payment.I will never be returning to this corrupt business, and I recommend that anybody reading this find another veterinary practice to take care of your animals, one that does not only know how to perform a checkup, but also one that values honesty.

The doctors here are very caring and have compassion for your pets . Been going here for years and would not go any place else .

From your first visit, whether by appointment or emergency, the staff at Sachem Animal Hospital performs professionally and efficiently. Everyone treats you and your fur baby as if you were close family. It creates a warm nurturing atmosphere for both you and your pet. The quality of their care can be seen in all the thank you letters proudly (and deservedly), posted in the waiting room.I cant say enough good things about Sachem Animal Hospital! Hi, I am LUCA (the Italian greyhound). My owners have been taking me to Sachem Hospital for my entire life of 14 years. Most dogs hate going to the Vet, not me, because Dr Corso always makes me well when I am sick. Over the years I have had many ailments, mainly stomach issue. Dr. Corso diagnosed my problem and I am doing very well now. Dr. Corso is caring and methodical in his examination even now that I am deaf. I recommend Sachem to anyone who cares as much about their pet as my owners do. The front staff is as nice and friendly as any staff you will find in any office. I took my cat in who was sick. The other vet Iwas using at the time could not get me an appointment. They have more then one doctor there all are amazing. Very caring place.

My 3.5 pound Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy was saved by the doctors and staff at Sachem Animal Hospital. They cared for him and advised us through his pnemonia, with multiple antibiotics, probiotics, nebulizer treatments, x-rays and monitoring all so he could stay home with us while he recovered and got stronger everyday. Now he is a 3year old 20 pound healthy happy pup who runs into Sachem Animal Hospital with excitement for well visits. It is so comforting they are open 7 days a week they are always available when our curious pup gets himself into trouble and needs medical attention.

Background: My fiancée and I adopted a Sheppard Mix 3yrs old 35lbs named Emma, we started working more and more, and there for she was in the crate more and more. Little by little we left her home alone and out of the crate, and she was wonderful.Situation: I had come home from work, and realized that Emma had eaten a whole bottle of ibpruphen (100 pills, 200mg) she wasn’t like herself, she wasn’t walking straight, and she had lost her personality. She had gotten sick 3 times before I had come home, I immediately called Sachem Animal Hospital, and took her in, she saw Dr. Corso. He was amazing, very caring and loving, he had taken us through what could happen what might happen. He also took us through the different things he could do to help her. He told us he would like to run some tests to see where her kidney function was at, he would like to give her charcoal, an antacid for her stomach, and keep her over night to administer fluids. He then proceeded to tell me that no one is on staff at night. I told him I was uncomfortable with that, he said he would do everything he could, he then gave us all of the contact information for West Islip Animal Hospital, which is open 24 hours with a vet on staff at all times. Before they did anything they gave us an estimate of what it would cost. My total bill came out to $240. He gave her the charcoal, took blood, gave her an antacid, and ran her blood and gave us a profile. He also called each day for the next two to check and she how she was doing. I was very happy with Dr. Corso in this unfortunate situation, and I would recommend him to everyone I know.

5 years ago I got my first dog. I was super nervous and called many Animal Hospitals in the area to see who had experience with Sharpeis because they are such an uncommon breed, and can have so many issues. After speaking to other hospitals and speaking to family members who highly recommended Sachem Animal Hospital I decided to bring my puppy there.I am so happy that I listened to my family. This place is great. They have the animal hospital, the pet hotel, and the grooming all in one building. I will only bring my dog to this groomer because the doctors are right there so if something goes wrong, there will be immediate help. The building itself can use a little updating, but i really do not care about that as long as they give the best care. Just follow the old rule Dont judge a book by its cover.My Sharpei has seen Dr.Corso, Dr.Palmeri, and Dr.Lissman. They are all great. I suppose just like a human going to the doctors office you end up with your favorite and we ADORE Dr.Corso. I can be a bit over concerned when it comes to things, and he always calms me down. He answers all my questions. If he doesnt know the answer to the question he will research it and make whatever calls he has to in order to find out the answer. Dr.Corso is also great at returning calls and checking up on my pet after an illness (gives a great personal, caring feeling).I tell everyone about Sachem Animal Hospital and Dr.Corso because I really believe he is the best. I wouldnt dream about going anywhere else.

I have been going to sachem animal hospital for quite a few yrs. My first experience was with my 12 yr old cat who I found almost lifeless I rushed him there n he had no readable temp.he had a blockage n his bladder which is the size of a nickel was the size of a lemon! It didnt look promising well after 3 days I was able to bring him home. Knowing I had limited funds n couldnt afford a 24 hr hosp. Dr. Lissman had a staff member come back through the night to check him. They also let me come visit him which they said seemed to help him fight! Simba is now 15 and alive today thanks to them. They can be a bit pricey but u pay for quality! They also really care about their patients. When you have to send you pet to The Rainbow Bridge they give u a paw print of your pet with a poem! Amazing People for our amazing furbabies!

My dog can not eat because of cyst in her mouth...called office for appointment..was told they couldnt see her until next week for blood. Then surgery the week after. Really I said shes not eating.. called another vet..

Very expensive. They charge for everything, and even if theyve seen your pet for an issue they make you keep coming back so they can charge for visits. Go to bellport instead!
