Such a great pet store, huge variety, free and fast delivery, very friendly employees. I have been shopping here for probably around five years and recommend them to everyone I know who has a pet. Here’s a photo of their happiest customer:

We take conformation handling classes here with both Sue and Janice. Lovely, clean room with mirrors! And Sue and Janice are a delight to work with! We love our weekly classes and love that we can pick up Small Batch sliders and Vital Essentials rabbit treats (which are some of our favorite foods). Cavalier photos (of Potato) for cuteness

These are wonderfully kind and helpful people who not only provide top notch service to their customers, but, also sponsored an Animal Rescue Adoption Event held by Carol Senior Pet Sanctuary in Sayville.

Its one of two places in all of Suffolk County that carry Primal freeze dried nuggets and they have a great staff, selection, and price. Josie highly recommends them.

So very helpful! They helped us so much when our youngest proved to be a picky eater when we first adopted him and when our oldest had her teeth pulled. They have a wide variety of food, treats and vitamins. We love supporting our small local businesses!

This place is amazing. They have a great selection of products and their staff are really caring and helpful. I just wish they were closer to me.

Love this place. People are great, very friendly & helpful. Prices are good, often cheaper than chewy, sometimes by quite a bit. They carry good quality products. If they dont have what you want, they will order for you. Only negative thing is the town made them close off half of the store to customers. Employees will get what you want though, mostly the larger bags of food.

We have been there a couple of times since getting our new German Shepard puppy. We live the large selection of healthy foods and the knowledge of their staff. I see no reason to go anywhere else.

Always have what I need and if not it gets ordered in a timely manner plus my pup loves this place

Mostly things for dogs and cats but the people that work there are very nice and answered all my questions about my exotic animals. I was pleased to see that some of the specialty items that I buy from my dog online. Were available in store. Its rare to see that

The blond woman. Who I assume to be a manager or owner is always so friendly and extremely helpful. I came in for an ear care item for one of our dogs and they didnt have it, they were out of stock. She gave me a free sample of something else to use and suggested I try to get that same item somewhere else. Which i appreciate and I did. Yes theyre a bit expensive but the knowledge she has and some of the other girls, makes me come back.

Staff was very helpful. Does not look like much from the outside but a good selection of pet needs and wants inside. As we were traveling the staff had us check all the equipment first so we would be satisfied with no surprises later on the road.

Do not go to the store. I went there to buy a bone for my dog. It was only $1.99. I had 1.40$ . They would not sell me the product do not go to the store.!

Total pet care is wonderful. My parents just rescued a greyhound. Total pet care had everything they needed. The prices are great, but the best part is their staff. Mom and I went with a list. The staff not only were friendly and extremely knowledgeable; they were also helpful. They asked what we needed and went and got every heavy item for us. They even brought the dog crate to the car for us. I cannot speak highly enough about Total Pet Care.

Awesome place! Awesome staff! Have been a customer there since the day they opened. However, they recently set up the store so that you can no longer walk up and down the dog food Isles and select the food you want. You have to tell the staff member exactly what you want and they will go get it for you. I always shop by view, knowing its a white bag with red stripe and blue writing etcetera Etc, so I was unable to purchase my dog food there. Please open up the aisles so I can continue shopping there. Thanks. I am giving 5 Stars only because of great ownership and service. The shopping experience is lacking, though, as noted above.

The employees are always beyond kind and helpful. They have actually asked for my Chow pups when I dont bring them with me to socialize. Adjacent to his building is Debbie the Dog Trainer she is so professional and knowledgeable, and so personable, her prices are reasonable, and is always on point when analyzing your dog. I cannot recommend her enough!!!I was amazed when I had to pick up my dog food. It was the actual owner Joe that picked up my 25lb bag of Dog Food and carried it out to my car. Under my breath I thanked God, because I have a terrible back and cannot lift heavy things, I was a happy camper that day!! Not to mention when the Covid -19 was in full swing it was he the owner who delivered it to me at curbside. Needless to say, I am grateful and proud to be supporting our local small businesses. Thank you Total Pet Care!!

I have never been in store but just moved to the area. I usually order my dog food online since many stores dont carry it. I noticed Total Pet Care a few blocks away is listed as a retailer so I called them to inquire about what they charge as Id rather support a small business as long as the price wasnt astronomically higher than online. The employee that answered the phone was nice, but informed me they were not allowed to give out exact prices unless I had their store customer card. I feel this is a poor policy as a potential customer that was ready to bring all my business to the store as it is in walking distance. Not giving prices to people solely based on whether or not they are already a customer not only alienates new customers, but makes me question how transparent their pricing is. So now I suppose I will continue to order online or find another brick and mortar store where they are happy to serve any customer that is interested in their business.

This has always been a great local company. Its a shame that local regulations forced them to change to a wholesell only type of layout. Still worth going, just know what you want since the employees will have to grab the items for you from the back.

I am caring for 2 dogs whose owner is in the hospital. I needed to get some on the food these dogs eat. I called them up , they had a record of what the dogs eat, had it in stock and delivered it! Can’t thank them enough for really helping me out .

They have everything your pet may need. They offer a rewards program that awards you discounts. Their prices are comparable with other stores. The staff if very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. One of the main reasons I do there.

One of the best pet stores on long island period. If they had more kinds of all natural canned dog food for large breed senior it would get 5. And maybe more dog toys. But great staff and huge selection of regular dog food and treats

My car had broken down and my cat desperately needed litter. I live in one of the apartment communities across the street but the litter would have been too heavy to carry home. Luckily, they offered to deliver to my apartment and I paid them at my door. That’s the kind of above and beyond service that makes this place great.

I use to shop at Total Pet Care, however they have recently built a wall across their store and chained off the opening. I was not allowed to go and browse the dog and cat food aisles. Apparently they will not cater to retail customers for any items behind the wall (which comprises half the store). See picture attached.

This place is just AWESOME !I was there yesterday looking for something new to feed my old cat who has lost weight .Wasnt sure what to look for and Joe spent a lot of time with me ... looking at the ingredients of SO many different brands....finding the high quality , protein and calorie counts to hopefully help my cat out.AND....he gave me 2 handfuls of free samples !Ive been going there on n off for many years.I have a pet store closer to me but from now on Im only going to Total Pet Care.When I needed more straw for the ferals this is the only place that came through for me when I couldnt find it anywhere else.The staff here are not only friendly but also very Knowledgeable about their products.🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Love this place stopped using Amazon because they carry everything I need for my pets and even have pre made shelters for feral cats. I bought 2 and the cats loved them. I am recommending this place to everyone I can. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.

Good selection and very helpful staff. However I did find it a bit expensive for some items. But nice that they are very well stocked these days with all the shortages. Wish I found then sooner. They have high end as well as supermarket level cat food. Many cat items and remedies. I was able to get a solution that helped my cat with his ears.
