Have to say its been a wonderful experience every time. I come to Lakeside, grooming. They are so pleasant. Julie Is so kind ! And so understanding and works with you. They are so amazing. My dogs are always comfortable and well treated. And they even took my dogs today late. And still did them I have to give them the best review. They deserve it

After trying many grooming places for my dog, yesterday, I took my Tikki to Lakeside grooming, we had a great experience, and the service very exceptional!!! The part I loved the most, before they cut my dogs hair, they asked me how I want it to be done, and they did it! Highly recommended!

Heard good things of them through a friend, my coco is a tough cookie so I never took him anywhere but I’m glad I tried lakeside, they were very patient with him and I didn’t have to break my nails trying to bathe him for once.

Never again bringing my dog here or to any groomer. This place made me lose my trust in groomers over all. I brought my dog here after he desperately needed a bath on a Friday, his appointment was at 3pm. Normally it never takes more than an hour for just a bath. This day it took 3 hours and after an hour and half i assumed they would be close to calling me so i decided to drive by the place and hang out outside of the place. I could hear my dog barking non stop and i was starting to get anxious bc i know he hates blow dryers but they knew that because i told them from the very first time i dropped him off. When i finally picked him up the lady apologized for the delay and said she had a call out so they ended up having extra work. When i took my dog outside he had drool which i didnt think anything of since hes a golden and he sometimes does drool. The entire way home he slept and laid down which is not like him at all but i figured he must have been sleepy from the bath and barking. 1 hour goes by and i notice that he has not stopped drooling at all and thats when i knew something is wrong. Around 8pm he started throwing up/spitting up treats that i assume this place gave him without my consent. He spit up clear mucus with so many treats about 7 different times. The first time he spit out 3 treats, the second time there was about 10-13 treats, then every time after that it was between 3-6 treats. Whole treats. Not even broken down treats. He soaked through hand towels like as if i was running them under the sink. I considered taking him to the er but he still seemed happy minus the drool. Between 5-6 am is when he started to look sad so i finally brought him to the er. I waited til it was 9am and i decided to call the groomer to see what happened. I asked them if he had gotten into treats or was given treats and they said they didnt normally give treats to dogs….. so then why is my dog throwing up treats that i did not give him nor even have in my home? Before taking him to get groomed, i had been with my dog all day and 3 days prior, since i had been on vacation from work. I also have cameras at home that record. I also asked them if he possibly drank soapy water and they said “no we are very careful with that and dont allow them to drink water from the bath” to which i said that something had to have happened bc on the way there he was happy and loving life and once i picked him up he was miserable. They told me that as soon as i dropped him off he was already drooling….. pretty sure i would have noticed my dog drooling before we got to this place the same way i noticed his drool when we were in the parking lot at pick up time and i wouldve taken him back home considering i didnt even want to take him so late but he needed a bath and my vacation was coming to and end. The vet said he most likely got into something that they dont want to take responsibility for considering the timing of when the symptoms started so they treated him for poison/intoxication. Instead of calling clients to reschedule due to the call out, they decided to be greedy and still make money and not give dogs their undivided attention. I know that whatever he got into, happened here because the treats he spit up were not ours. I wish they had been honest in telling me what he got into so that we could figure out how to save his life faster. The damage had already been done and now it had to be fixed. I wouldve had more respect for them had they been honest. Everytime i come here, theres dogs walking around lose instead of being in crates and that shouldve been my first sign to not come here. Lastly, they knew the condition my dog was in and they didnt even bother to call me before they left for the day to see how he was doing. If i was a dog groomer and a dog had gotten sick while in my care, i’d at least send a text message to see how my client is doing. No sympathy or compassion. Do with this information what you will but i will not be returning.

I took my dog Percy here for the first time today. I let him know he was kind of a nervous guy and would probably cry if they put him in a cage. They were so accommodating of his needs. They groomed him right away and when I picked him up he was hanging out in the back with them. He was so calm I could tell that they were really good with him. They did such a good job with his haircut and I love that they gave him a little tie. I will be taking Percy here from now on.

Relatively new owners. Brought my dog there 3 times. They are always very friendly and do a great job!

Amazing!! They are so friendly and caring to clients. We have big crazy dogs and they are so accommodating, asking to help bring them out to the cars. The dogs are so happy to go there which says a lot!

May-June 2023I brought our dogs there once in the summer and the girls working there did such a great job. I really shouldnt be giving 5 stars now... I should have done it that evening; several months ago. I do not recall the exact date.Theres a new owner and when I called to see how much it would be for my one dog to be bathed, groomed, haircut. Unless I misunderstood, I was told it was $150. They told me there was a new owner. Nevertheless, I did not go there again.

Wonderful job on Luke and Leia. Perfect cut. They look so clean and nice. My dogs hair not too short. Not too long. Just right. And the people who work there really care about the dogs. Been to many places with previous dogs. They were not as nice or accommodating. Lakeside grooming (Moms) is truly the BEST!!! Highly recommend!!

Dropped maya off for a nail trim and bath . She came back so happy and everything was done to perfection. They also gave her a little gem on her ear which was cute ! Definitely going back

Took my guy Baron for a wash and grooming. Met with Ruth at Lakeside Grooming who was very polite and professional. When I picked him up he looked and smelled great and the price was very reasonable. The staff was great with all the dogs there. Highly recommended.

I moved to Lakeside Grooming from my old groomer and my dogs and I are loving it. Before my dogs use to come home acting strange, now they come home wagging their tails. Which is because of the better treatment they receive now, the new management is really helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new/better grooming experience

Wonderfully patient. Took my sweet but cranky cat here for his first haircut and I couldnt be more pleased with the results. Annie and Rose were excellent and patient took care of his nails and ears and made him very happy and adorable. He looks like he feels a world better :D So grateful I brought him here. Thank you

Annie, Mark and the staff at Lakeside Grooming are absolutely the best. I have been taking my dogs here for many years. They are the nicest people and treat everyones dog as if they were their own. We could not be any luckier to have groomers this great and a great groomer is very very hard to find.

I have waited way too long to write this review. Brought my dog here and they injured her eye and didn’t tell us. I realize that mistakes happen but if they had told us we could have went to the vet right away. She now has multiple eye problems from this injury. I don’t recommend bringing your pet here. If they were honest with us and didn’t hide their mistake it could have made a big difference.Response to owner:This was 100% not a mistake. Lakeside grooming is the correct shop that injured my dogs eye. Calling would not have fixed it.

I cant say enough about Annie n Mark! They truly listen and follow through all special attention on both of my dogs! There very comforting especially when it was going to be my Bella final groom! I LOVE THEM without them even knowing how much they mean to me...

People were very friendly . But after picking up my dog I noticed one ear was filled with wax. I returned, the man didnt see any wax but his wife did. As he was cleaning it AGAIN she was checking his nails and had to trim a few... which were already done I assume by the near sighted ear cleaner. I was CHARGED $58 for the works, left a $12 tip. Sorry to say I cannot recommend them because I will not be returning.I hate to leave a negative comment but I am very disappointed being my first time there and the same for having a dog groomed

Just brought my dog in to have his anal glands expressed. Usually bring him to the vet but they were closed because it is Sunday. So tried this place and am so glad I did. Took him right away and did it with no problem plus clipped his nails at a very reasonable price. Very nice people! Would recommend highly.

Excellent! 5 stars aren’t enough to describe how grateful and pleased I am with Lakeside Groomers. My Bella is 12 years old and we’ve had many experiences, going to the groomer is never her favorite place. She gets upset and can’t stop shaking from the minute I drop her off to pick up but since I’ve taken her to Lakeside Groomers she’s so happy and she wagges her tails all the way thru their doors and out every time it’s fantastic! Their love for animals is clear, their teamwork is outstanding and Bella is a happy girl! She looks great when I pick her up and especially happy. They take care of my brothers 2 large bulldogs and he’s very thankful for the recomendation, they are truly loving and caring people.Thanks you so much for taking such great care of our babies we couldn’t be happier!

The previous owner returned and HES A MASTER GROOMER. I highly recommend this business for the friendly and professional service. Our dog(s) come out looking AWESOME. Pricing is competitive and better than other locations within the Nesconset, Ronkonkoma area. I tried several around the area and Lakeside Grooming is my groomer. So happy Mark is back.

I needed an emergency grooming on a Sunday. My first time there . I needed nails n butt trim, and full grooming this week. They took lenny and said he needs it now. How awsome of them. Thank you for making Lenny comfortable.

Do not go here!!! THEY BOUGHT THE OLD OWNERS REVIEWS!!Ever since the old owners left I have had new problems with the new groomers here. I brought my 3 golden retrievers here once, I could tell something was wrong when I brought them back a second time and none of them wanted to go in.After I picked them up from their second visit I asked the workers if they did anything different because the dogs are never hesitant to go into the groomers. The workers said no everything was fine.Turns out they cut their nails WAY TOO SHORT. You can see the nerve pulp, on a few nails, they keep bleeding. No wonder why my dogs were hesitant to go in with these new people. I now need a vet to care for my dogs nails.

Excellent care, excellent service, they care for our doggies like they were their own. Our dogs run in to be with their favorite people, Annie and Mark. Love them!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! Ever since the old owners retired, this place is just not the same. My dog went in perfectly fine yet came home SICK!! He has a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION, his ears were NOT CLEANED and he has a HORRIFIC KENNEL COUGH!! Not to mention they did NOT cut EITHER OF MY DOGS NAILS! No one said a word about anything either, aside from the owner making a snide remark about my dog being cranky or nasty... Meanwhile hes NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH ANYONE, the old owners and staff loved him and complimented on how cute and well behaved he is. When I picked my dogs up, they looked MISERABLE and the owner or whoever this lady is that gave them to me, is NOT PERSONABLE. She is CLEARLY only in it for the $$$$$$ and does NOT care about the animals. She didnt have a kind word to say, and considering my dog is SICK and was cranky leads me to believe that they MISHANDLED HIM AND MY OTHER DOG! I took them to get their nails done elsewhere and there was NO ISSUE AT ALL!!! So, I paid nearly $190 for them to be mistreated and get sick, plus nearly $500 at the Veterinarian to tend to my babies illness do to YOUR NEGLIGENCE!!! I am letting everyone I know and beyond what happened and to NEVER GO HERE!!

Absolutely love Marc & Annie so do my 3 dogs ! Highly recommend them. They are very loving and gentle with my dogs and they do a great job.

Very clean office, did a great job on my dogs for an affordable price. Friendly staff also, even walked my dogs out and helped me out them Im the car. I plan on bringing my dogs here from now on.

We LOVE Lakeside Grooming! We have been going there for several years. First with our King Charles Cavalier and now with our Frenchie. Our King Charles hated her ears cleaned and our Frenchie is full of energy, and they take care of them so lovingly. The owners are loving, gentle and caring, and make the doggies comfortable and calm. Highly recommend. After you meet them and your first visit, youll become grateful loyal customers.

Annie, Mark, and Max are wonderful professionals!T were very accommodating and squeezed my moms dog in for a bath/haircut when I called last minute for an appointment. They were also very gentle and caring with my chihuahua, who gets nervous easily, and my moms shih tzu. Very kind people and did a fantastic job grooming both dogs. Would highly recommend!
