Before going to the dog park, us and our dog usually walking in the trail. Beautiful woods scenery and big dog park. But you need to bring your own water for your dog because no water provided.
It was the hottest weekend in January and beautiful for a walk, so we decided to take Lexie to the dog park for the first time since moving to New City. Lexie had an amazing time and met lots of new friends both human & canine. BTW, so did my wife & I. The park is a very spacious fenced area for multiple dogs, it has benches for the humans to sit & relax, it has a double gate system and there’s also a poop bag station should you forget yours. There’s ample parking and is a nice hike to the dog park from the parking lot, so be ready for a nice walk. I also recommend maybe boots depending on what type of weather there’s been or old sneakers because they might get a little muddy or pick up lots of dirt. The same with the close you’re wearing since some of the new friends you meet might be very happy to see you and jump all over you. Lexie was pooped out and as soon as we got home she went straight to bed.
A very scenic park that has great trails and an off leash area for dogs to run. A great experience for dogs and owners
My first time here and my girl loved it. She made new friends. Big space to run and play. Dog bowl is there to drink out of (just bring water bring more then you think you need ) some balls/toys here to play with as well. Its kind of a long walk to the dog park but its worth it (If your older or disabled). Enjoy I hope to see you soon
Need better map but overall nice for dogs
It has a little bit for everyone. If you have dogs there is a dogs park, its fenced and dogs can run while you seat in a bench on the shade of a tree. If you have kids and theyre little you have Zukor Park with a playground, if you have teens there are soccer and baseball fields. If you just want to go for a walk and get refreshed there are several trails and you can look for the small waterfalls. If you want to do some exercise there are several spots in the trails.A bit for everyone.
Its not really the dogs that are the problem here. Its their human owners. My wife and I walk here often so we have a pretty good idea what goes on. Despite signs all over the place, half the dogs are not leashed. This leads to anything from unwanted dogs jumping all over you to all out nasty fights between dogs...and then of course to the owners fighting over which dog started the fight. Then you have the brilliant owner who neatly packages their dogs poop in the provided plastic bags and leaves it in the middle of the trail to be picked up by the imaginary feces fairy.
Kennedy Dells is a very good park for the dogs at a convenient location that every local dog owner should know. It is fun and it is the best time ever for our dog. I can’t say that it is perfect, but good enough for me to recommend it.
No water refill at park, Doug area is a little hard to find the first time. Each time Ive gone it was empty of other dogs. Nice that it is wood chips, dirt, grass and balls let behind for the next dog.
Ive taken the dog many times for walks and runs around the perimeter and through trails. Its a nice place!
A beautiful place to explore in the heart of the city
On 9-1-2018 was disappointed to learn from other dog owners of an aggressive dog by the name YaYa. Many accounts by three different dog owners attending this park. My dog suffered a 2 1/2 laceration and a puncture wound to his left ear. Im not sure if YaYa has all his shots. My experience was bad but the park itself is a wonderful setting. By all means go there but watch out for an aggressive dog named YaYa.
Shouldn’t say hidden gem but it’s a gem. Amazing short trails around the dog park. Absolutely beautiful.
Great walking trails for on leash dogs plus a huge fenced in dog park! Two entrances: one @ New Hempstead Rd. The other at the ballpark area on north main st.
A quaint little park with some ball fields and a small fenced in yard for dogs to play off leash. Some short hiking paths. Can get crowded quickly.
The view is beautiful when the sun is setting. Nice and friendly people with their dogs. Loads of fun for everyone
Fun day, careful, deer arent afraid of people and they love to get chased by dogs, learned that one the hard way
Its not a bad location and its clean, but its not very fun. Its literally just a piece of land fenced off for dogs and its not very big.
Its a smaller dog park, but really the only good off leash option in the area.
Few dogs in and beautiful weather - my Milo had a lot of fun!!
Nice dog park but a bit of a hike from the parking lot.
This place is amazing 👏. Most of the dogs and people here are beyond cool and friendly.
I like this place , it has good view and also great place for my dog to meet other dogs.
Good hike but just another unshaded and rather remote doggie park
Some pictures at the Kennedy Dells Dog Park
Usually a good mix of dogs. You need to bring your own water.
Great for the dogs and even better for owners. Peaceful and safe 👍👍
Not very close to parking, theres a couple aggressive dogs that frequent the park.
Just some neighborhood dont do the drive its a waste of time and gas
Hiking trails and a spacious fenced in dog park
Mostly always good dogs and people there.
Large, beautiful setting, nice dogs and people.
Beautiful park to hike with a small waterfall.
