I waited two months for this appointment for our puppy. So excited to be bringing him there even after others warned me about the high prices and unnecessary services they try to sell you. So our appointment day came and I got to the office just to find out I was at the wrong office. The receptionist was so nice and said she would call the New Hartford office to let them know. She said this happens all the time. I politely apologized and told them I just put it into my GPS and didn’t realize there was 2 offices so close by. I got to the right office only 10 minutes past my appointment and the receptionist said they could still see my puppy. Came back out and said they would just charge us for an urgent care visit which would only be an additional charge of $135. I said you’re kidding right? I said no thanks and we left. How does this even warrant this extra charge? I guess money is more important to them than customer service and caring for pets.I should have know this wasn’t an office that cared when I received a call a few days prior to my appointment to tell me the bill would be approximately $240, I said to the receptionist how do you know, you don’t even know what my puppy needs? I had already had to take him to tractor supply vet clinic to get the necessary vaccines he needed prior to getting in to the schedule appointment.She said they just wanted to make sure we were aware of the cost. I guess this is just a chain looking to make money. No thank you

Weve always had great experiences with the staff and docs here. Very kind to both humans and our animals. They are organized, professional, and very good communicators. So grateful for them.

I have read good and bad reviews but I like to give benefit of the doubt. I have been taking my dog here for 4 years, I moved farther away drive past several other vet clinics. I won’t go anywhere else. I have a husky with horrible separation anxiety he went from destroying drywalls to sleeping peacefully in his kennel. He has a sensitive stomach and switched his diet over and he loves it and formed poops now!As for reviews of prices, Pet insurance, vet bills are high every where. if you want to get yucky care for less go do it but quality care comes at a price if you can’t afford it don’t get a dog. Read another review about an emergency, this place is not a 24/7 emergency vet clinic, they say that and suggest places to go during their off hours.Quality care, friendly staff, Dr. Cornelius is amazing and takes care of dogs like they are her own.

Kinda rubs me the wrong way this organization considers itself an animal hospital but you go to make an appointment on their website and only dogs and cats are available; I called because I needed an appointment for my rabbit and their reasoning was along the lines of having only one person for exotics.A result of this is now having to wait over 2 weeks to get my rabbit seen unless I tell them its an emergency and get charged that much more. Id recommend looking elsewhere if service is needed for a rabbit, turtle, bird, ferret, guinea pig...This facility needs more people that can perform services for what they consider exotics.

I live in Rome and called every animal hospital and veterinarian I could find, including Camden, explained that my dog was showing symptoms of a stroke and was in horrible pain and not one would see him before one or two weeks! Rome hospital gave me the number to VCA New Hartford hospital and said they cant see a dog suffer, can I get him there by 11:20 the next morning? By then my dog (and I) had been up for almost 48 hours crying with no sleep! I wanted to kiss the receptionist Maureen! I was greeted by a very kind and professional staff that immediately went to work on my best buddy and service dog Itty! His Dr.s name was Dr. Beattie and her concern and love for animals shined through like the sun shines! I immediately knew he was in excellent care!After her thorough checkup she asked if we would wait about an hour for blood work as that would tell the story.As my friend and I sat out in the car and I cried for about 45 minutes all of a sudden Dr. Beattie came out the back door waving the results. Its not a stroke!!! He has Lyme disease!!!Lyme disease!!!I highly recommend VCA hospital, Dr. Beattie and the whole staff!!! THANK YOU so much for loving my baby boy the way I do!!!

I called on Saturday left a message I received a call back and had an appointment for Monday morning it was not an emergency. I than received a second call and we spoke about the issue my dog was having they got a prescription ready for me so I had it for the weekend excellent customer service such a friendly and caring staff.

I strongly suspect that the root of the issues I had here is that the VCA corporate overlords want the vets to see so many animals that they dont have time to give each one the care they deserve.But whatever the cause, my elderly dogs medicine wasnt called in when they said it would after his first visit here. He went through the weekend without it, resulting in extreme discomfort and, by Monday morning, syncope episodes or possibly seizures. When I called and explained that he needed his medicine urgently, I was told that they would try to get to it by the end of the day. Not good enough.When I finally was able to pick up the script after four or five phone calls, there was a mathematical error on it that caused further delays at the pharmacy.My dogs health history is complicated and hes on an unusual combination of medicines. I understand how there could be confusion. But they should have taken the time to figure it out. They could have called our previous vet back in Texas for clarification. If the situation was reversed I guarantee thats what our previous vet would have done.Im giving this two stars because I actually do think that for an animal with more straightforward needs, this vet would be fine. But I dont have enough time left with my dog to waste it on people who dont have time for him.

The prices are extremely elevated for the lack of care given to the facility. Since their expansion, service quality and just basic building cleanliness has plummeted. My pets exam room was covered in DAYS of animal hair and food particles all over the floor. I could not imagine a person coming into this space for care. Animals can pass deadly infections and viruses as well, this hospital should have basic standards for quality and cleanliness, especially with this pricing. My appointment was 45 minutes late for a simple vet tech allergy shot and it is 120 dollars !!! They also have discontinued their scripts with online pharmacies to maximize their profits and not allow patients to look elsewhere for lower prices. Because of the scarcity of vets, I believe this facility is taking advantage of the consumer and are not even keeping services on par with the past. How far this vet office has fallen since the days of Dr. Rodriguez. I would have given 1 star if it were not for staff friendliness.Update as of Aug 8, 2024.On Aug 1st of 2024, my 9 year old dog had surgery at this hospital for the removal of melanoma in his eye. It was recommended to have his surgery locally at New Hartford Animal Hospital from the Animal Eye Care Center of New England, in Massachusetts. This would eliminate uneccesary travel and pro longed discomfort post surgery. The pre surgery and post surgery care provided by the staff was kind, friendly, courteous and informative. His veterinarian did a wonderful job in minimizing bruising and excess trauma to the surgical area. The wound should heal well. My pet was dropped off at 8am, and was kept in recovery until about 5pm when I was informed I could pick him up. Surgery was about an hour long. As stated above, the level of knowledge and friendliness at this hospital is satisfactory. Yet, my previous review on cleanliness from 6 months ago(see above) must have fell on deaf ears. My dog, who is forced to wear a cone to prevent injury to the surgical site, is now infested with fleas from this hospital. This practice seriously needs to invest in specific routine hygiene practices after each pet is seen in an exam room to prevent cross contamination and disease. As a customer, we are unable to see the surgical area or treatment rooms beyond the exam room. If the facility as a whole is filthy, I seriously question the hygienic environment of their surgical center and recovery area. It is incredibly sad and frustrating that after a 2,000.00 dollar surgery, my dog has to contend with this issue and unnecessary discomfort due to a hospitals lack of attention to the most basic detail and practice of hygiene. I mean, isnt it a hospital? This practice may say that they are clean and the fleas couldnt possibly come from their facility. My dog is treated with a script provided by this practice and they know it is filled (Revolution). The uncomfortable position they put my dog in, post surgery, due to hospital negligence and lack of continued sanitary practices is unacceptable and I would not recommend this practice to anyone until they can show a commitment to improving such a basic hospital standard. NHAH advertises as a fear free facility. Pet Moms and Dads should be fearful of utilizing facilites that do not pay attention to the necessary conditions of sanitation. I understand that the fleas will bite my treated dog and die, however, that does not prevent the fleas from my home, furniture , or vehicle. If you choose to seek care at this practice, demand the exam room is cleaned prior to entering, and treatment be conducted in that room to ensure, at the very least, the resemblance of a hygienic treatment area. The cleanliness of a veterinary practice that uses the word hospital is the bare minimum standard for services that are by no means, inexpensive. I will gladly modify this review if and when this practice improves. However, my previous review from 6 months ago has shown a lack of fidelity and commitment to these basic standards. Do better, youre a hospital.

They took my cat in the same day we called for an emergency visit. The staff there were wonderful and friendly. They did everything they needed to do to the T and they even did an awesome job making sure my cat was safe and comfortable. This is mine and my families newest addition and baby to our family and will do anything for her. Yes the prices were a little high and steep but worth it since sweetpea is now officially our family member.

There’s many things I love about this place & their Vets, BUT, I loathe the fact that they push unnecessary vaccines & require it to be a patient. My dogs are indoors & not subjected to other animals or parks, just our fenced backyard. Hence I don’t like to pump them full of vaccines they don’t need, other than what’s required by law. Also, they took away emergency services, which was 95% why we chose them. So now we must go to Syracuse for emergencies, & traveling that far is not easy for me. Very bad choice because now we’re forced to look elsewhere. They are good with my dogs & handling them but due to above, we now begin our search.

Took my cat for standard check up bill was 1100 dollars they didnt even cut his nails right

I have been with NHAH for over ten years, back when Dr. Mora was my dogs vet. I currently have 5 animals who go there, and have two enrolled in the VCA care club. I had been noticing over the last few years the wait time increasing as well as the price, and the compassion/person to person time and conversations about my pets decreasing. I remember always getting Maureen on the phone, who was kind friendly and always helpful. I recently had an emergency where I needed assistance and was put on hold first for 13 minutes, and then greeted with the cost of what this would be and if that was “okay”. When I expressed this was a life and it was priceless I was then put on hold again for 7 minutes, and told to drive to “Latham” instead, an 80 minute drive vs. 45. The devastation this caused and the stress was unfathomable. I informed them I would never be back and how disappointed I was that they failed me in such a time of need, her response “okay!”. Never again, big corporate took away one of the most wonderful vet clinics and I am far too scared to ever put a pets life in their hands again.

Fantastic recent experience. I brought my dog here urgently as I am not from the area. The staff was more than willing to accommodate us and provide my dog the care he needed. I am also so happy that the practice is fear-free certified. There is a calming presence at this hospital which can make a huge difference for nervous pets.

Dr. Abby Regner was very professional and compassionate to my active Basset Hound Be lucky. She has a wonderful personality when treating her patients.

Most compassionate people Ive encountered. Unfortunately we lost our Tinkerbell. They stayed with us the entire time. Comforting us the entire time. Awesome staff work there.💛

Dr Alyssa Cornelius and her staff are INCREDIBLE. We had a very scary experience with another vet (waterville vet) and I decided to come to NH Vet for a 2nd opinion. NH ran all tests, rushed the results and told me he was negative of all diseases waterville said he had (Lyme and final stage kidney disease). My dog had zero symptoms of anything and just by looking at him you knew he didn’t have kidney disease. Thankfully he is fine but the sad truth is there is a dog out there that isn’t. VCA NH took such great care of us today and understood the immense stress and anxiety we have been through this week. Dr Cornelius is a god sent and her staff is so professional and friendly. TRUST YOUR GUT and get a vet YOU CAN TRUST!!!! Our pets have NO voice. Be their voice. Choose Dr Cornelius and the staff at NH. Thank you for giving us a merry Christmas!

This is the best vet clinic for a wide radius around here! I have 10 dogs so Ive pretty much tried them all and this is the ONLY 1 that has any after hours emergency plan! Thats a HUGE plus

The staff is so caring and kind. They really do care about the animals, and have been there for us through several pets through their lives. Their location is also very convenient for us and the parking lot is safe!

The pricing of this place is absolutely criminal. Brought my dog in recently to be seen and they ran his blood and gave him anti nausea pills and the bill was $1000. Huge bills with very little care is all you get here.

I cant say thank you enough to this team!!! I travel for work and needed to get my puppy in for his next set of vaccines. They were THE ONLY clinic to get me in so I can stay on his vaccine schedule! Dr. Cornelius was absolutely awesome and when I do return to the area this will definitely be the only clinic I will use!!! I am beyond grateful!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

I recently had to unexpectedly put my dog down and every one there was extremely understanding and allowed us to take all the time we needed to process the situation. Very helpful and understanding! Thank you to everyone who works there for your thoughts and prayers.

Visit went ok. Communication method needs improvement. Still more expensive than I would prefer but Dr J is a peach. 2 basic things I asked staff for I had to call after I got home to re request.

Such a great experience. Vet and entire staff is friendly and helpful. They actually called the day after to make sure everything was ok with our pup.

Service and staff are always outstanding. Hospital is always very clean and tidy. I would never take my puppies anywhere else. Dr. Regner is absolutely amazing, our dogs are very healthy thank God so we dont have to make any extra visits, but she always talks to us like were family, like its only been a few days since our last chat. She is so loving to our dogs, as if they were her own. I look forward to seeing her smiling face when we visit. The staff truly love what they do and it shows!! Feels like going home!

The absolute worst experience with a vet in my life. The only reason they would receive even one star is because of the very sweet vet assistant that apologized and gave me advice to care for my cat after the abusive veterinarian stormed out of the room. My 11+ year old indoor cat has been vaccinated in previous years, she is not however vaccinated yearly, which he clearly took issue with. She does not see the outside world so I choose not to give her unnecessary shots and unnecessary stress. I had warned them ahead of time on the paperwork that my cat will scratch and bite if she is touched in places she does not like. He was checking her rear end, her ears and her mouth, so she became upset and was trying to scratch. He immediately got impatient and angry and began to be very rough with her. He was grabbing her by the scruff and picking her up and speaking in a nasty tone about me being fined for him being bit by an unvaccinated cat. I also included on the paperwork that she responds negatively to loud noises. So explain to me why the experienced veterinarian believed yelling and scolding my cat would elicit a positive, calm response. I understand an unruly cat is difficult to handle, but you would think that after thirty years he would be able to do so without getting angry and rough with the scared animal he is supposed to care for. He then began berating me when I calmly asked if hes ever handled an unruly cat before, because it was not evident to me based on the care my cat was receiving. I will never bring any animal back and I will advise every person with a pet to stay away from this awful place.

I had just called to ask about some pet insurance information and if theyd cover what my dog needs, and the receptionist was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. Which now a days is becoming very rare! So a few days ago I made my dogs 1st appointment with them.

Unfortunately, we had to seek out their services because our 22 year old exotic pet was at the end of his life and having some health issues. Despite his advanced age, they provided a number of treatments to make him more comfortable. Although he died, they ensured he was comfortable and educated us on exactly what was going on. It was obvious the entire staff cared and it really made a difference during that difficult time for our family. They even followed up with phone calls an a card to see stay in touch and see how we were doing. Great, kind people!

This place is great. They send ample appointment reminders and my dog is far more comfortable than at my last vet. The entire staff treats my dog like shes their own. Kennel and grooming services on site are also huge bonuses.

The personal skills shown by the entire staff to the owners and their pets is exceptional! At the recent tech visit Tanya was terrific. She managed the visit expertly and took the time to address my questions. Buddy, my 7 year-old Black Lab actually looks forward to his visits! Front desk staff, Sarah and Kelly, were equally efficient and courteous. This is the finest Veterinary Hospital and Care Center Ive ever encountered in my 30 years of owning and caring for dogs.

My previous dog ended up coming here for an emergency. Our vet at the time couldnt see her until 5:00. That wasnt going to work for me. I called here and they got her in right away. The staff was very kind and helpful. My dog has since passed away but they earned our respect and our business. This is where we bring our new puppy.

Sincerely grateful for the same-day appointment and care NHAH provided for my cat, and the warmth they showed me during my entire experience with them. Ive been wary of animal hospitals after having an extremely negative interaction with one in Rochester, and only booked an appointment here due to an emergency that required surgery. However, I highly recommend this facility for their service, compassion, and expertise, as well as the dignity and kindness they extend to pet owners. I will most certainly return in the future.

After a routine checkup, our sweet boy had a seizure as we were about to leave. Unfortunately they were unable to save him, but they acted quickly to attempt CPR. We will forever be grateful for their efforts and Dr. Harkins is just amazing and made sure to give us some time to grieve our unexpected loss.

We take several of our pets there. They are courteous and seen to be very caring. Can get expensive as they tend to do more testing than typical vets do in our area. However, they review all of the proposed tests and allow me to select the tests that I feel are most relevant.

New Hartford Animal Hospital went above and Beyond for my Pup!! They got her in fast and reacted to her Emergency situation very caring and very professional!! The staff here is Amazing!! They got my guinea pig in the same day that I called. They were very patient, friendly and professional. They took their time to decide what was wrong with Baelfire. The follow-up is a nice touch (they’re going to call on Monday to see how he is) and I appreciate the obvious care they have towards animals. They ladies at the front desk and the Dr.’s in the back were all great. The bill was even cheaper than I expected.Thank you!

Dr. Erin Murphy was lovely. Even though my cat’s condition does not seem treatable at this point, I could tell how much she genuinely cared and wanted to help us. She even offered to research my cat’s condition to see if she could find any additional info. This is my third visit to the office and I still am so surprised by the staff. My pet was at the facility 2 days in a row. One for grooming, the other for an appointment with Dr Elbrecht. Everyone is friendly and explains everything clearly. I know Dr Elbrecht wants my pet to stay healthy . she recommended some choices of meds for his joints that is affordable for me. We were happy that his rectal exam came out good and there was no cancer.

The relational skills of the entire staff are superb. Techs Colleen and Trisha are fantastic, front desk staff of Kelly and Maureen are wonderful, and Dr. Mora is the best Veterinarian Ive encountered in my 25 years of dog experience. The clinic is clean, organized, and comfortable. This is how any professional health clinic should run. Well Done!

Careful of their HIDDEN FEES! If youre on a Fixed Income this is NOT the place to bring your animal! Although they they are pleasant and treat you with courtesy remember this is a business so they do expect payment regardless of situation! I just feel if youre going to be in this sort of business that although payment is the requirement of course you do know that this should at least be able to provide service for everyone that brings their animals regardless of the situation but thats just my opinion! All in all if you do have the funds then this is the perfect last! You will receive exceptional service! And that I can attest to!

Very nice and accommodating staff. The veterinarians are all knowledgeable and gentle with my dog. The grooming is also spectacular. Prices can be on the high side and they do try to upsell some of their high-end services

I had to put my cat down because she was suffering and all they told me was that they could not see her because I had not been to them since 2017. Sorry not sorry for having a very healthy cat and not having to go to the vet all that time. Luckily, Waterville Animal Hospital squeezed her in even though they had back to back appointments and also showed sympathy for our loss. From now on, I won’t even bother with New Hartford Animal Hospital.

Ive had nothing but good experiences here with my dogs. Weve dealt with two different doctors so far and they are both fantastic, technicians are knowledgeable and friendly, great communication. Highly recommend.

Just got back from Shilos first visit. So very glad I chose new Hartford Animal Hospital. They made Shilo and me very comfortable. And cost is very reasonable. See you folks in about 3-4 weeks

My hamster Gizmo seen Dr.Hartkins a couple times and she was so sweet, helpful and empathetic. I recommend her because she was willing to take him on considering she doesn’t specialize in exotic animals. The only other friendly worker there is Jenna, she made cute little feet prints of Gizzy for me.Last night, my other hamster Hughey took a turn for the worst. I called late at night and talked to the answering service (who has given me attitude before) and I asked if he could be seen tonight to be euthanized to which I was told there was no vet on call that specialize in small animals and if there was it would cost $450 for an emergency visit, not including anything else! Needless to say I called around, got no answers so I had to watch my lovely, amazing pet suffer for hours, gasping and gargling for air until finally he passed away in my hands. One of the most traumatic experiences, especially cause there was nothing I could do. The answering service didn’t seem compassionate either time and it really ruins how I look at the place and the thought of returning. I understand it’s not their pet so why should they care but still.

Today I walked into the New Hartford Animal Hospital and was highly upset. They are very nice people and they seem to truly care for your pet, however they do not care about your wallet 1 bit.I came in today knowing it would cost 50 dollars just to come and take a look at the infection my dog had on his tooth and I had no problem paying that. However, after 2 minutes of the vet petting my dog and a quick look in his mouth I was informed he would need oral surgery, which would cost me $300.The vet said his tooth was retained and the only way to take out the infected tooth was with surgery. They also said that the infection will not go away on his own without this surgery. So I agreed to do this surgery like any loving pet owner would do.When I get home after a few hours, not only does the tooth FALL OFF by ITSELF, but the infection went away also. So by the end of that visit not including the $300 i would later pay for the surgery I owed them $124!!!! all for petting my dog and a quick look in his mouth, a fecal test that I did not even authorize, and a blood test for the surgery which my dog did not even need.So the bottom line is that this place is a scam to get all your money, I did not mind paying the 50 bucks for him just petting my dog since I knew about it, but I was not informed about paying for the blood or the fecal test which pisssed me off.

Best veterinarian service in Utica/Rome area. They staff, techs and vets are very attentive and easy to work with!

New Hartford Animal Hospital is absolutely amazing. The women that work there are super friendly and really care about the animals. I couldnt ask for a better vet than Dr. Elbrecht, she is fabulous with Hunter and my family. We are definitely part of their family for the rest of our lives.

It is very obvious that Dr Regner and the vet staff truly love and care about animals. That is very important to me and it puts my mind at ease when my furry kid needs medical care. My dog is part of my family and I really appreciate that Dr Regner understands and acknowledges how important he is to me and how important his care and treatment is as well. Thank you so much!!! I moved 20 miles away 2 years ago and I tried another animal doctor much closer to my house. I didnt get the service or care and compassion, and went right back to New Hartford Animal Hospital. Its worth the extra drive to go to a doctor and place that I trust will take good care of my furry family member.

Why are they listed as an euthanasia vet? I have a paralyzed elderly cat and called them as they are advertised as a euthanasia service, and was told they have a 2 week wait for any apps. Dont use these people for any emergency euthanasia service.

Do NOT see Sean Gaw. He has no manners at all. Does not want to fully listen to the owners or the background. Wants to do his own plan even though we have been part of the hospital and my cats charts and X-rays are there with notes. We knew my cat had asthma and it was confirmed by two other doctors at the practice. I came in at 9:30 on the dot I am still waiting for him to come back and speak with me it’s 10:33.He wanted to continue a medication that has stopped working for my cat and include the inhaler we were wanting. He does not know how to speak on a personal level but more of “ I am a vet so let me finish”.On top of that, his nurse was somewhat mocking the fact we could not afford to pay for everything they wanted.She stated “ I know you probably don’t want to pay for this but we can trim your cats nails for $17”I said no thank you and I can do them at homeHer reply “yeah I thought so, just wanted to let you know cause they are a little long”(This was the nurse with many piercings on one ear).We loved dr. Mora and was very happy with the staff until today.

I used to love them but had a bad experience. I had a sick sugar glider and when she took a turn for the worse after an appointment earlier that week was refused a emergency follow up visit. Was disappointed to find out they only had one exotic vet and She was out of the office. Was told to go to another vet. Spent over 2 hours calling other vets and was not able to get an appointment easily because I would be a new customer with the other clinics. The sugar glider was severely dehydrated and needed subcutaneous fluids ASAP. I called Mew Hartford back to explain that no one could get her in and asked if any of the other vets could at least give her fluids. I was told no. Called more vets. Called New Hartford again and begged them to see if any vets would help ar least with the fluids. They said they would call back. Then finally I found a vet in Albany that could take us at about 3:30pm. Had to pay extra if course due to being a new client and it being a first visit versus a follow up visit. Finally received a call back from mew hartford that said they could maybe do fluids but at that point it was too late and had already been forced to go to the other vet. I was able to find out how to properly give her subcutaneous fluids at home and purchased the needed items to be able to do so. However, because sugar gliders are so small and the extent that she became dehydrated due to how long it took to get her help, the damage had been done to her small body. She hung on 2 more days growing weaker and weaker and died that weekend. She shouldnt have died and I feel if she had been given fluids that morning, she would have made a full recovery. I feel as though O was cheated out of my money for the first appointment since there was not a proper follow up and upset that I had to pay even more at another vet for being a new patient. What made things worse is that when they called the following week to check on her and I informed New Hartford that sue had passed, they said that they only really do wellness checks for sugar gliders but do not treat sick ones. So what do you do if one is found sick during a wellness check and also what good is it to have a preferred vet when they cant help you when you really need them when your animals are sick? I feel cheated and feel that my pet suffered as a result as well.

Great place and staff, Stuart almost* enjoys coming here (he still doesnt like needles). The staff really do their best to make the visit as easy and enjoyable as possible as they can for your pets.

The staff is so caring and compassionate. They always make me feel like my cat is in good hands, and they go the extra mile in every aspect of care and treatment. Well done!

Unless you have a fancy little poodle that you carry around in a handbag and like to throw your money away, this is not a place for your dog. I got a beautiful German Shepherd puppy three years ago and decided to establish care with New Hartford Animal Center. I have never walked out of that building without spending at least a couple of hundred of dollars, and I have never encountered a group of professionals who constantly try to sell food or anything pet related. My dog got very sick at 6-7 months of age, he was vomiting and refusing to eat or drink followed by extreme fatigue. I immediately took him to NHAH where numerous tests were done to determine what the problem was. After X-rays and blood tests that cost me over $500, Dr. Regner was unable to find the cause and had instructed me to take my puppy home hoping it is something he will ride out. Two days later there was no sign of recovery and at this point my dog was extremely dehydrated and could not even stand. I took him back to NHAH where they wanted to repeat all the testing, including the X-ray that showed NOTHING wrong two days prior. I refused to repeat everything and was looked at as if I was absolutely insane to do so. After paying hundreds of dollars for I dont even know what, I was recommended exploratory surgery. I absolutely refused to have my puppy cut open for no reason and decided to take him home. I went to the local pharmacy and purchased pedialyte and with the help of a syringe I was able to have him drink some. He was showing signs of recovery the very next day and for several days later I fed him chicken and rice. He is now a beautiful 140lb, three year old German Shepherd. While he was at NHAH he got traumatized by being poked around and not feeling well where he remembers this place and is not a happy camper whenever we go there. I usually have to give him medicine to relax and put a muzzle on him. I had an appointment today with Dr.Regner for his yearly vaccination and while she was trying to sell me more things i dont need he jumped on her, and being such a big dog he was close to knocking her down. She was not bitten nor hurt in any way, however she refused to vaccinate my dog because she felt uncomfortable. Her staff looked for a basket muzzle and they did not have the proper size for my dog. She wanted me to reschedule, knowing that bringing my dog here is a project for me. I have tried to stay loyal to this place even after I feel like I was ripped off many times and almost had my dog cut open for no reason. I am extremely disappointed with this place. This place is very good at making it look like they are giving quality service, however just because someone is trying to sell you a botttle water for $100 it doesnt make it any better.

Ive been with this vet for well over 10 years and they are the nicest people ever. I trust everything they say and they always take great care of my pets. NHAH rocks!

Wonderful. Staff has always been helpful and friendly.I just wish they still did boarding for our birds as the only other place around that does charges more than double what we use to pay here.

I have been taking my dog there for the past 15 hrs and have nothing but good things to say about the doctors and staff. They are all very caring , friendly and professional and I will never take another dog anywhere else.

My tech Kayla was awesome with my kitty Sebastian.He was matted and she got his mats out and provided excellent tips on grooming.She is warm friendly compassionate and knowledgeable..

Our daughter brought her 7 lb., 17 year old cat here to be euthanized. She was handed a form to select which option she would like and to be signed. The selection box that she picked stated a $125.00 fee. She was later informed when the IV was already hooked up to the cat that was on the table that the total would be $306.94. It was too late in the mental/physical process to back out at that time. I feel like they took undue advantage of my daughter at a very emotional time. I have checked with 3 different Vets to find we paid more than double the going rate. It seems to me that a $307 charge for this service especially when it wasnt explained until it was too late is similar to kicking a person when their down. I can not recommend this facility for anything.....even in death.

Dr. Elbrecht and the staff at the hospital are understanding of how stressed our dog is whenever we have an appointment. We are treated with understanding and respect which makes for an easier visit for us and for our dog.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced people who truly care about your pets. Our dog gets excited when she sees shes going in for a check up or to stay for a few days, cause she loves the people there.

This place cares only about money ! Not about quality of life for pets . If you can’t afford the outrages things they charge they pretty much tell you goodbye ! Not kind not caring only care about money ! So many better places that work with you in terms of cost and understanding needs of pets and family .

Charged 102.06 for literally nothing took my cat in to be spayed we discovered she was pregnant decided we werent going to do the spay until after the pregnancy was completed they literally did nothing and then told me I couldnt come back to get my cat till 2:00 in the afternoon after I dropped her off at 8:00 a.m. I literally wanted to turn around and come and get my cat and they would not allow it and then have the nerve to charge me $102 really!

Love this place and they are PERFECT. Always doing whats right for our pets and prices are great for the total treatments you receive. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

I use them for my routine pet care, as well as, emergency care and while they care for my pet and provide great care.... you pay for it. I have compared them to other local vets and they seem to charge more for the same services.

We always have such a good time at our visits. The staff is not only extremely knowledgable but so kind and caring as well. We wouldnt dream of taking our dogs anywhere else!

They believe in discrimination..if you are not a member of their facility they can care less about your animals..they just want their pay check at the end of the week..They wanted to charge me over 500 dollars to get my two chihuahuas vaccinated..People like your facility makes it difficult for people to own pets..disgraceful..

She became severely ill. Wasnt eating drinking or using the litter box. Her vet was on vacation so I called here. They wouldnt take her, because they stopped taking emergencies and they only saw her once before. Mind you we take our my 2 other cats there. I explained how sick she was and they still said no. I told them I hope you can sleep tonight. They called us up, not because of my poor cat but because I upset their employee. Seriously 😑 never again. Took all my cats to the fantastic vet who took my kitty and spent 3 hours trying to make her better.

Friendly staff! They were patient and caring when it came to my over energetic husky, Jackson. Because he was so overwhelmed and hyper at his first appointment, the staff was great with accommodating me so that I could fill out paperwork without having him constantly tugging on my arm.. It was a bit pricey, but worth it knowing your animals are in great hands! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Called before bringing in our older dog that was attacked and bitten several times by an aggressive neighbors dog. We were asked if we were patients and then told not to bring him in. Dont call yourself a vet hospital if youre not. You should be ashamed. Clearly dont care about an animals welfare. Jerks. I wish I could give you no stars.
