DeVeaux Woods State Park Dog Park

Great dog park. A few benches and small shade trees. The grass was freshly cut and I did not see a lot of un-scooped poo, which was nice for a public dog park. When I arrived with my dog the other dogs already in the park, were taken away from the gate by their owners so we could enter. It was nice not being overcome by a group of dogs when you first enter the park. I was traveling and everyone I met there was friendly. There is no water in the actual dog park, rather the fenced in between area between the parking lot and the off leash dog park. There is a section for a large and small dogs as well as a fenced area that goes all the way around both dog parks, think a horse race track.

We were camped at Four Mile Creek State Park for several days. After lots of time cooped up while the humans were sightseeing, the puppies needed some energy release. This dog park had 3 fenced areas, which was nice so our dogs could have their own enclosure. Plenty of room to run around, a convenient dog water fountain, and poop disposal. Our doggies ran and ran and ran till they were worn out. Other owners were friendly, even when our rowdy two were barking and being energetic dogs. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful dog park but no one cleans up after their dog when they crap. Its filthy with dog poop.I picked up over 40 piles of poop on the right hand side. I can’t even imagine what the rest of the dog park looks likeSuch a great place to take our dogs.People need to clean up after their dogs!

I just started taking my dog there and its a very nice place to go.Most people I have met are friendly and so are the dogs but I have been keeping my dog by himself until he gets to know the others.

I LOVE this park! ❤ They have so much to offer and everything is recently remodeled and beautifully maintained. Really great playground, Clean restrooms, Large Dog park, beautiful nature paths all throughout, gorgeous old buildings, huge open spaces for activities and sports fields. I grew up down the road and have been coming constantly my entire life. Even now that I moved a bit out of the neighborhood, I still visit. If anything this park has gotten better over the years. Its safe, beautiful, and has something for everyone to enjoy. You can even find a lone 200 year old grave tucked away on one of the paths.

Love everything about this place cant wait to spend an entire day w my son and dog both will have so much fun

Confusing to find your way around, but worth it. Playground, baseball, soccer, dog park, nature. Cool park, historic.

Definitely a nice place to bring your dogs so they can get some energy out. The only thing I would say is keep an eye out for some of the people that come there. Some dont watch their dogs at all, and some have dogs that they say are mild tempered but they will go after other dogs. So I would just say use your brain and judge whether or not you want your dogs around other dogs

Its small, and in my opinion, way to close to the kids playground. When people are trying to get their dogs out of vehicle, Ive often seen kids screaming, and scared, because not everyone likes dogs.

Off-leash dog park was so much fun. Puppies wore themselves out sniffing and running at top speed!

My visiting dog loves this park. It also has a playground for kids.

Park looks amazing in the summer. Green, well maintained and short grass. I literally saw parks workers picking up trash in the park. So great!

This was a good place to let my dogs run around while travelling but it seems a little run down. There were poop bags piled up in one bin and it seemed like they had been there a while.

Great place to let your dog blow off steam and exercise. Just needs the water turned on so dogs can drink, especially during these hot summer months

There was a suspicious looking police inside the police car. We got so scared and dared not to react in any way. I think we need bodyguards for protection.

Loved the way that park is setup. Very spacious with plenty of space to play frisbee or ball or just to run. The only thing - there werent any other dogs when we were there.
