First time trying this place and the experience was great! I called for a same day appointment and got in. My dog was ready in the time they estimated: 1.5 hours. He looks great, except I wish the mustache had been shaped better. Everyone was super friendly and I appreciate that. I love a quick and reliable service! I would use this place again.

MAC Grooming is the best place I’ve been to so far! The owner is very kind and welcoming. Explained and took pics of my dogs condition and told me exactly what treatment he provided. My dog looks so good! I highly recommend them ! They offer exceptional service

My two French Bulldogs were taken care of for 2 1/2 weeks groomed and well feed I couldn’t do better myself great place

My goldendoodle pup marley is super anxious but Nick & his wife were very accommodating, even with a last minute appointment & was able to give him a nice summer cut. definitely will be back 💛

I used to go to The Dog and The Cat House on 101ave before they merged with MAC Dog Grooming. In November I brought my dog and everything was fine. I came back today and there was a different person, but my dog really needed a bath and last time it was fine. I don’t think I need to say much (the pictures say it all) This HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL JOB was charged as $60. Never in my life have I seen something this terrible. It’s a Beagle!!! It doesn’t need to be shaved!!!! Never coming back here. And suggest you to do the same.

This is the only place I will take my shih tzu to get groomed. From availability to great service..10 out of 10! Every time he gets groomed they give complimentary bandannas and the clothing is very affordable. Lastly he always smells amazinggggg leaving.

I bring my dogs here for grooming and I am always happy with how it comes out. They’re very gentle and loving towards the animals. I even leave my babies here for boarding and my dogs love it! I absolutely recommend this place for grooming and boarding

Super kind and friendly! We are dog sitting a mom and her litter, the puppies nails were long and sharp so we called for a quick trimming, they told us it’s not a problem to come whenever we were able and we were able to help the pups not get caught on everything.Also they sent them all home with the cutest bandanas just for a little nail trimming! The experience was horrible, when I picked up my dog ​​I was too scared, the only thing the man said was that my 6-month-old dog was too aggressive, since I called to make the appointment I specified that it was his first time. My dog ​​has never attacked anyone, he goes with me to my office, he sees people every day, since he is a husky everyone wants to comfort him and he has never attacked anyone, it is the first time I have taken him to grooming and this happens. Because of how scared he was, it leads me to think that they hurt him. If this is his dogs first time, dont take him to this place, you have no idea how to treat them.

I have a mini goldendoodle that I bring to be groomed at MAC Dog Grooming. Their groomers are patient and do a great job! The location is super clean and they do not keep your pet for unnecessary long periods of time. Grooming time is usually between 1-2 hours at most. They always listen to any requests I might have. Definitely recommend this place for all of your pets grooming needs!

I was reluctant to take my new puppy here because of a couple of bad reviews but after thorough searching, it seems that is the case everywhere. I am so glad I trusted my gut and went after a neighbor’s recommendation! I was a little nervous because I wasn’t sure how my new puppy would react to his first grooming but Nick, the owner, made us feel we were leaving our dog in good hands. He answered all of my questions. I called ahead to ask about pricing, and he told me the base price and then of course like anywhere it is extra depending on how matted the dog is. We expected to pay a little extra for matting. When we dropped our dog off we didn’t talk pricing because I already had an expectation of paying a little above the base price. Nick called me back a few minutes after we dropped our dog off to let us know it would be a little extra. I liked that transparency and how he went out of his way to make sure pricing was clear before they began grooming him. The price was affordable and reasonable. Because I saw other staff there, I wanted to make sure Nick would be the one grooming him because he is the one who does my neighbor’s dog, and he ensured me every dog passes through his table during the grooming process - another thing that made me feel good about taking my dog here. When I asked how long before I need to bring my dog back to maintain his current look, Nick said to come back in 2 months. This is extremely reasonable as most places will tell you 6-8 weeks or sooner. I knew he wasn’t telling me to come back any sooner than needed to make $ off us. Nick looked happy to show us our dog’s new look and our dog looked happy with Nick. It is clear Nick runs a professional place and your dog will absolutely be in good hands here. I cannot say a bad thing about my experience, my little Cooper looks absolutely adorable & the best part is that Nick said he did so great and was so calm the entire time. That especially makes me feel we chose the right place. We will definitely be back!

Hands down this groomer is a God send. He provides a great environment for your pet and he is accountable for your dog while in his care. My dog had a growth on his tail that burst while being combed. (This growth was hidden) he rushed my dog to the vet and our of his own pocket paid 350+ for emergency care. I cannot thank him enough for being a good hearted businessman. I believe that great service should be recognized and I am honored to write a stellar review on this buisness.

Horrible experience with groomer “Nick”. He literally closed a gap that he made on my dog glued it with crazy glue and stuck hair in it. I did not notice until I got down the stairs. I called him and said what happened he said “she no let me cut her there so I leave it alone”. He’s a tremendous two faced liar not to be trusted. Took her to Lefferts animal hospital she needed stitches for the gap and were scared to hurt her more due to the severe spot being glued and then hair thrown on. Long story short 500. Later due to antibiotics and more visits. Never went back to Nick. But I completely trust the place that rents from them I think they are called the dog and cat house. They are excellent so is Bobbipet in Richmond Hill. Good luck.

My fur baby is a special case. He is the type to get nervous, anxious, and ultimately a handful when it comes to getting his nails trimmed or even grooming lately. I made a decision to take him to get his nails clipped by a professional and i dont regret it. He was being difficult but his groomer knew how to handle him. My fur baby and I left super happy. Loved the service, very friendly and felt very comfortable knowing the groomer was very knowledgeable.

Took my dog Luna for her first time grooming and the groomer did such a really good job. Her hair was so uneven from a previous groomer and her hair looked like a mop. I searched for a professional groomer and stumbled upon MAC and I gave it a shot since they had a really good availability that fit my schedule. The place smelled really great and it was really clean the staff was friendly and Luna enjoyed her stay as well. I totally recommend.

Nasty attitude, not understanding at all that my dog is old. Said that he will not groom my dog anymore because he is difficult but how are you grooming dogs professionally if you are not open minded on the types of animals that you encounter. Also I requested something be done on my dog and was met with laughter from the guy for absolutely no reason. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE YOU WILL ONLY WASTE YOUR MONEY AND BE GREETED BY RUDE PEOPLE.

This place had a groomer named Nick I don’t know if he still works there. But he cut my puppy badly and glued fur on the wound with the crazy glue he used or whatever it is that he used. I felt the cut and glue on my dog when I got home. I called him. He said it was a rash she had. I called the vet took her in and they told me what had probably happened.I never called this place didn’t place a complaint against them with DOH which I should have. The groomer Nick was very rude at times and other times very sweet. Very sketchy guy. Too bad because the owners are very sweet and place is cute.But this is what happens when the owners open up a place but don’t preform the grooming themselves or strictly supervise their workers.I’d stay away from this place. I went back to my groomer whose always fully booked also in ozone park but are responsible and dependable.

I have been looking for a place to take my dog and haven’t been able to find any that actually listen to what I want and make me feel like he will be well taken cared of until now!! as soon as you walk in you can tell it’s gonna be great, everything is clean and organized, everyone that works there is extremely sweet and Nick ( the owner and person who cut my dogs hair) did an amazing job! I will definitely be coming back ☺️

My family and I love Mac Grooming. The staff is great, friendly and very helpful especially Nick the Groomer. Im a customer for 5 years and I cant complain. I was hospitalized for health reasons and they help my hubby out with my Jakey. We love it here at Mac and thank you for all you do. Trust me you will not regret it.

We took our dog, Loki to MAC Dog Grooming because its close to home and very convenient. I saw that their reviews were good and decided it would be worth it. The dogs in there look so scared. Our dog who is extremely friendly, was even a bit nervous. I should have gone with my gut feeling and not leave our boy there. He came back with his entire butt shaved off. The woman explained to my husband that they used the wrong clippers and offered him $20 off. When I saw him, I was extremely disappointed. Safe to say, Loki will not be returning back to MAC Dog Grooming.

Best grooming place Ive been to. The place is so clean and well kept. Groomer walks you through place and shows you his work space, very kind and friendly. My dog was matted but he was able to not shave him completely. The price is excellent. This is the place to go!

They do a good job with grooming. However, They always find a reason to charge extra every time I bring my dog in. Once they did more then what I wanted, another time they charged for what I wanted but did not cut the dog’s nails. Had to take more time out of my day to come back and get that done. The final straw was when they claimed my dog had fleas all over the stomach area. Mind you, I wash my dog weekly and do light cleanings after every walk. She showed no sign of fleas and was seen by the doctor a month prior. But of course that was an extra charge. Never again with this grooming business

Went there to pick up a family dog and was immediately met with a racist undertone while being questioned about the dog that they did not allow me to pick up. When I called back and explained the situations to the groomer “Niko” he then yelled, cursed, interrupted, and hung up the phone on me.I was being understanding of his point yet he did not let me speak and threatened to call the police if I returned. I did nothing wrong and only called for clarity on the situation, however I only felt even more disrespected than I already was after entering the spa only to be questioned and turned away rudely.Horrible customer service: you don’t speak to people that way. I would never recommend this place to anyone in fear they may experience disrespect and racism like I did.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this place. I took my dog here for grooming and while he was in their care, they left him unattended in a metal bath tub. The bottom of the tub had drain holes and my dog’s paw got stuck and I believe he hurt his leg trying to yank it out himself. The owner wasnt even 100% sure what happened that is why I am assuming they weren’t even paying him attention. At first, they took full responsibility and went with me to the vet to see if he was okay. The vet prescribed medication and said to come back if he was still limping a week later to take X-Rays. A week later my dog was still limping and he still is two weeks later to this day. When I told the owners of this place that he was still hurt and needed XRays, they cursed me and my boyfriend out over the phone. They refuse to pay for any medical attention my dog still needs. They tried to brush it off as if he was fine (they are not a vet and have no right to tell me if my dog is okay or not). He clearly isn’t okay if he’s still limping TWO WEEKS LATER! As PROFESSIONALS, if a dog gets hurt in YOUR CARE while being in your facility, the right thing to do is take full responsibility. My dog still has sprain/ slight tear to his ACL just because of this place. Therefore, I would not recommend trusting this place with your dog. I do understand accidents happen, but if you refuse to take responsibility, that is just TERRIBLE. My dog can have issues for years to come and they rather create a bad reputation for themselves instead of owning up to their mistakes and simply paying for his medical bills. So this is a WARNING before taking your dog here! Very careless to leave a dog unattended while there are many thing around that can hurt them. Very disappointed in the way they handled the entire situation.

They give you one price over the phone and then charge you more when you get there. Nick is a very unprofessional and shady character. I don’t mind paying the extra ten bucks but he lost my business. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. In addition Nick complained about my dog being difficult to groom. Which of course has nothing to do with the $70 dollar set price. Shady character!

Its the second time l told them to cut my dogs fur short but not too short and when l picked him up he looked like a gremlin! Plus they complained cus hes old and its difficult to manage him, he constantly bark and bla bla bla...I definitely wont come back!

Consistent hard working. Always fit my dog . The prices are I guess standard goes up and down maybe by 10 dollars a month . I guess the amount of time it takes. I try to tip. Would have given him 5 stars but alot of times theres ALOT of loose hair on my dog and the haircut it always the best. But my dog doesnt get hurt or pees/trembles from being scared. Like other places so I definitely recommend this dog groomer..... update 3yrs later my dog came home and wouldnt let me touch him even tried to bite me .. 6 yr old companion. Nuff said. Our buisness together is over ! . Watch your employees mac

I took my Shih Tzu dog for a trim and bath. They did an amazing job with my Jerry. There was some discrepancy with the amount I had to pay, I was a bit turned off by that. I dont mind paying the extra cash but they didnt explain to me why it cost extra. My baby looked happy and well groomed when he came out. The place is updated and has a very relaxed feel. Its cozy and bright with a lot of room.

Niko was very helpful and accommodating. Given that he accepted our pup last minute shows that eh actually cares about animals, which is so refreshing. Job well-done for a reasonable price. Thank you!

Very nice and clean facility with excellent staff. Tell Nick what you want and hell do it. They also do boarding i would definitely leave baby Bee-Bop ( toy poodle) over night there. They are very good with the dogs. Would definitely recommend them.
