Bark Ave Bath & Biscuit Grooming

I have been trying out groomers for a while now for my 2 yr old miniature goldendoodle. Bark avenue is now my place! Janet is so helpful and caring. They are always able to get me a quick appointment. And Lewis has never looked this good! He loves going there as well!

Christina is absolutely amazing my dogs look forward to coming in and I’m always so happy with how they come out. I would recommend this place to anyone but Christina specifically she really does such a good job with my dogs. She’s let me know when she found anything that needed to be addressed by the vet. My dogs are like my children and I would recommend this place to anyone that loves their pups as much as I do.

Just got Fiver back from his second groom with Christina at Bark Ave and he looks awesome. Happy, calm, and well taken care of. They gave him the most adorable little St. Pat’s tie. Too cute. Good price, place is clean, the vibe is good.

I was a very nervous first time pet momma in dropping off my 6 lb. 7 month old maltipoo. Janet (the owner) from the first time speaking with her was professional, caring, and understood my concerns. She allowed my puppy to be the first groom of the day, being that I did not want her to be around a lot of other dogs and did not want her to be caged long. The shop is immaculate and her groomer Christina was wonderful. She is upbeat and one can tell quickly she loves what she does. The shop does not overbook dogs so it does not look like an assembly line of dogs arriving or leaving. I was so happy with how my dog was groomed. The price, quality of cut, and ease in speaking with Janet and her staff made this experience not traumatic for myself or my puppy. They even gave her a mini squeak toy after the groom. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them!

Seriously Christina is the best !! My dog is super difficult to work with, and I mean most places cannot groom her or handle her. But at Barke Ave, I trust them and know they will work with me and her to get the job done. Not a lot of places are like this!

Janet and her staff are excellent with my both my puppies Rusty and Storm. Her shop is immaculate and recently remodeled. She and her staff love dogs and make them comfortable. Rusty is nervous around strangers but never has been around Janet or her staff. She just warmed right up to them. I will never bring my babies anywhere else.

The new owner, Janet is wonderful! She was able to get me in the same day I called, and she was knowledgeable and kind. They took such good care of our Keiko and his new summer haircut is amazing. The shop is clean, comfortable and newly redecorated.

Best of the best!. I wouldnt leave my dog with anyone else but Janet from bark Ave. She is amazing with my baby. She is kind, respectful, smart, and loving. My dog loves coming to her , its a day at the spa for him. If you want your baby it vr cared for with the utmost dignity and respect you know where to go, bark ave for the win!!!

Thank you to Janet and her staff for always taking special care of my little princess. Coco has very little anxiety with her staff, whereas she has experienced anxiety with other groomers. The establishment is clean, personal and extremely inviting to both the dogs and their “parents”. So glad that we found Bark Avenue ❤️

Janet and her team did such a great job with my golden doodle. She’s not quick to shave which is hard to find in a groomer. My doodle’s hair was pretty long and she spent extra time with him making sure he didn’t have to get shaved down. He came out with the best cut he’s ever gotten! He looks so handsome. He seemed comfortable and relaxed afterwards as well which is so reassuring as a dog mom. I’m very happy to have found Bark Ave!

Brought my Labrador here, he is known to have accidents and be extremely nervous during baths. So for him to have no accidents and absolutely be a mush to the groomers settled that this was the place for my Guinness.Janet was incredibly understanding and forever has my service with my fat boy! Would always recommend to anyone needing a groomer.A handsome gentlemen might I add, $65 for a bath and nail trim was reasonable, including a deshedding treatment!

Simon loves getting his hair done at Bark Ave, the owner is very sweet and gentle with him ( he gets nervous) she sits on the floor with him till he warms up. He looks so handsome in his new tie he gets ( every time). I wont go any where else.

Took my 3 month old labradoodle Duncan there today for his 1st grooming. The staff is incredible 👏! They did a great job & he was happy when I picked him up. The prices are also fabulous to boot! ❤️

Took my labradoodle here for the first time and was so pleased with the results! The owner Janet was very friendly and the woman who groomed my dog was kind and excited to work on him. Coming to pick him up and seeing him waiting at the door with his tie on was the most adorable thing!!

Christina shows true affection for my puppies and it shows when I picked them up. They seem relaxed, smell wonderful and look great. I will continue bringing my puppies to B&B.

All i can say is wow. This was my dogs first time very getting groomed and he’s 2…. that in itself isn’t good because he didn’t get used to it as a puppy. I recently got him from a family that didn’t take care of him. He’s never been aggressive to me so i told them no he isn’t aggressive! Turns out he was when they were grooming him…. which i feel so bad about but i didn’t think he’d be like that! But they made him look SO amazing. Even with him squirming and trying to bite. He also had fleas and matting which is now completely gone. Their prices are very reasonable. And they gave him a little bow tie at the end 🥹🥹🥹 They did so amazing i can’t say more good things. if ur hesitant about scheduling, DONT BE!!! Here’s a before and after.

Always a great experience at Bark Avenue! Janet and her staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They take the best care of our shih tzu, Lucy. She always gets a bandana and looks and smells amazing! You can tell that they truly care about your fur baby ❤️🐶 We highly recommend!

I hadnt been here to get my bichon groomed for a couple of years, but they always did a great job so I made an appointment last week. I was shocked when I picked her up a few hours later and she had received the worst hackjob of a cut that Id ever seen. I will definitely not be returning after this.

LOVE JANET AND HER WHOLE TEAM!! Took my dog there because her matts were so bad. Was told by a previous groomer that they werent able to service her because she was too difficult. I cannot say enough about Bark Ave Bath & Biscuit! I bring my two dogs there for their grooming. They do an amazing job! The owner Janet is so caring and loving. She treats my boys like they’re her own. I absolutely love the quality of care that all the groomers give my pups. I especially love the personal attention that Janet gives to each and every customer that walks in her door. She is the sweetest and most amazingly beautiful person I have ever met and I will forever be a loyal customer. I used Bark Ave when it was under previous ownership and I eventually left because it was too noisy and loud for my dog. Last year I discovered the new owner Janet. She is a sweetheart and LOVES her animals. She is pleasant fair and personable. And shes very accommodating as I need to stay with my large breed dog due to his anxiety.Her groomer is very knowledgeable and all the staff are very helpful and great with animals.I could not be happier to have discovered the new Bark Avenue!! I’ve brought my fur baby to a couple of places, but once I brought Bella here I knew this was the perfect place!! The owner “Janet” came right up with this heartwarming hello! She went straight to Bella and she doesn’t just go up to anyone and I could see an instant bond! Janet was very knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted for my dog. She also suggested on what would make Bella look amazing and be Good to fit her needs! Once I picked her up she looked adorable and with this cute bow collar on her! “Instead of a bandanna”! Also the scent she chose was perfect! Wasn’t over kill or anything! I recommend everyone to go here because it’s hard to find a grooming place that is so heartwarming and knowing you’re pet is gonna be fine!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜

After trying a number of groomers on the island, I’m very happy to have finally found a groomer i feel comfortable with. I took my very, senior dog to Janet. I felt she was very patient and compassionate with her. (Two traits i was not finding at other salons) My dog has since passed and I have started taking my new dog (who needs regular haircuts) to Bark Ave as well. He always leaves looking cute and Janet and her groomers are always a pleasure to deal with.

I absolutely love this place! I am still in shock how I never came across this groomer when I moved to the area. Janet the owner, is so kind and so sweet. With this pandemic going on, she was able to accommodate me and made the process to fast and so simple for my dog. He looked amazing when it was time to pick him up! I’ve been bringing my furries here for a long time. Monty (Sheltie) is treated like royalty when he goes for his grooming. Christina take such good care of him, treating my not so young puppy (12 1/2) carefully. He looks and smells wonderful and comes home in the cutest business ties. I know any special needs he has are always handled carefully and. most important, he feels safe when he’s there.

I cannot say enough - Janet is amazing she takes the utmost care and pride in her business. I have a 9 year old golden doodle Max who suffers from anxiety - and she makes this experience as stress free as possible for him. Her store is immaculate and you would never know youre entering a groomer. I recommend her to all my family and friends. She is so professional, kind and a caring.

Our dog Sgt. Pepper loves his groomer. She takes her time with him because he has major heath issues. Sgt. Pepper always gives his groomer kisses before he goes home(Green Flag) Today I didn’t think he wanted to leave with me 😂We decided to start coming weekly because our dog needs it and great groomers are hard to find. 🏆

Our dog Skadi loves this place. Always super friendly and professional. She always looks and smells amazing after a visit. Also our dog is very skiddish and scared but showed no animosity towards the staff here which is a Hugh green flag.

She always comes out happy and looking beautiful . A terrific job . I like the fact the shop is very sanitary and smells good too ! Janet is as nice as can be as well as her staff.

I bought my maltipoo in for a grooming appointment on 8/5/2023. I received a call to pick up my fur baby and within 15/20 mins I arrived to get him. When I reached my home 20 mins later his eye started to swell up & twitch (it looked like he was winking). I called into the business and I believe I spoke with Janet. I asked if there were any incidents that happened and was told no it could be a hair that got into his eye I said okay thank you and ended the call because it didn’t sound right and didn’t want to argue I was more concerned with the look of him…so I immediately rushed him to the vet -because well he has had a hair in his eye before. He’s a dog but never has he twitched and swelled up with tearing.When I walked into his primary vet they were booked and busy. So I headed down the road to an emergency vet.His face was so swelled like he was punched it started to affect his right eye as well. And he was rubbing his face all on my chest for comfort when he wasnt laying down in pain.3 hours & about $600 dollars later I was told he had a corneal ulcer in his eye. He had to be given oral meds for 10 days and eye drops for 14 days. Boy was he not feeling those drops but he took it like a champ.After the emergency vet he went to two more follow up appointments when they had to dye his eye again and just got through unnecessary trauma.I called 8/9 to get a resolution and was very polite the whole time though I wasn’t met with the same.I asked again “are you sure nothing happened when he was there”Their reply “you did take some time to get here and you did have him for a while after you left. So maybe something happened with you. We use a tear free wash for the dogs”This whole thing has me over groomers. I’m scared for something to happen to him again especially when people give you heartless replies and make is seem like you’d hurt your own fur baby! He was literally carried from their building to my car in a different lot next to them. Then carried into my home because he’s all white and I wanted him to stay looking good that’s my baby. There was no interactions with him and another animal and he didn’t have his head out the window coming home so nothing would’ve gotten in his eye to harm him to this degree in my care within the 25 mins it took to show signs of damage.I’ll be vetting his groomers much better in the future.$80 hair cut cost me $600 and my trust in establishments .Edit : 2 hours later :: i know it wasn’t the shampoo . Shampoo cannot scratch his eye. But a razor or scissors could. It was medically diagnosed in his SOAP notes that he had a Corneal Ulcer. I offered to send over those official documents. I have a before and after of his face right infront of your establishment. And he was cut short that day after I already said all he needed was a light trimming because he was just cut no longer than 2 months ago tops. The ulcer comes from trauma to the eye so again I know the soap did not do it. But I also did not harm my pup neither did anyone in my household. I took time to get him because you called when you were done correct? I live 15 minutes away so I can’t help that. You gave me a window of three hours. Just like humans when we get hurt we take time to bump and bruise. So it seems very logical that my furbabies injuries would be more prominent 30-40 mins later.Your child ever get hurt? Fall at a park? They don’t bruise as soon as you pick them up off that ground. Let’s be serious.Side note google corneal ulcer. - An ulcer may result from blunt trauma, lacerations, irritating chemical or substance such as shampoo etc ..Again thank you for the kind words about the situation!

We are SO happy with our experience at Bark Ave! I called to get an appointment as a new customer last minute and they were able to get my dog in the same day. My dog is a 1 yr old 50 pound mix breed, has never been groomed before and is always scared of the water so I was nervous to see how he would do, but he came back so clean and happy! We will definitely be going back!

I couldn’t be happier with our first experience at Bark Avenue, Janet is lovely to work with. Cooper is a large golden doodle and was way over grown and had a lot of matted areas. He came home looking great and ready for the summer. She was quick for his size and he came home with an adorable bow tie. You will nor be disappointed. I will be returning for future cuts

I have been taking my 9 year old dog Mimi to Janet at Bark Ave for years. Mimi doesn’t like grooming and doesn’t like the blow dryer. Janet and her staff do an amazing job keeping her calm and getting the job done. Always comes out beautiful. Couldn’t imagine bringing her anywhere else.

I brought my goldendoodle to Janet since she took the shop over from the previous owner. She always does an excellent cut. She is so caring and sweet. I had to put my Maizie down in 2019 and Janet was almost as upset as I was. She loves all her clients. I now have a new goldendoodle and have brought her in twice. I will continue using Janet.

I recently moved over to this area and decided to take my Kuke to this grooming spot. I was astonished by the amazing work done on my dog. Employees were extremely friendly. I was pleased with the excellent feedback they gave me on my dog. I was very happy with the grooming, they did an amazing job. I would highly recommend this place again and will continue to take my dog there. He loved it. :)

Every time I bring my dog there it feels like Im walking into a doggie spa. It always smells amazing, Janet the owner is awesome. Shes so sweet and she genuinely loves animals. Its never about the money with her, its about the wellbeing of your pet. When I first went there I really couldnt afford it when she said karma my black lab needed to come every 4 to 6 weeks. She said to me I dont care about the money, I care about the quality of life for karma. She explained to me how important grooming is and I had no idea. So janet said if I promise to continue to bring him every 4 to 6 weeks she will work with me about the price. Then she shocked me when she asked me, me what I could afford and we have been coming every 4 to 6 weeks for 3 years. I tell everyone I know to go to bark ave. I wish she would get a people salon in there too...😂😂

We could not ask for a better experience with Janet! She cares for our dog as if she was her own. There’s no better feeling then being comfortable leaving your fur baby with someone and this is the place to do it!

Bark Avenue and its owner Janet were phenomenal! They gave Santino an appointment on very short notice and did a fantastic job. He looks awesome and the appointment was very timely and he was ready exactly when we were told he would be. My wife Lori and I are thrilled and will definitely bring Santino back. Was here on 11/22/20 **** picked up puppy around 3:30pmHad no difficulty making an appointment. Had to come here bc I forgot to schedule with our regular and they were booked up. My puppy is a 7 month old standard poodle. We got up-charged bc he peed alot during his grooming. Had no problem paying up, it is what it is. I just dont think the value is worth the grooming we got. Only 2 weeks later he started shaking his head a lot so i looked in his ears and my oh my. Took him to our regular groomer for a pluck and cleaning. It looked like it had not been touched in over 2 months. You live you learn.Edit to add yes we were there. His name is Miles. Standard poodle. I got a call saying you needed to charge me $80 instead of the $65 we agreed upon bc he peed a lot. He also probably has an ear infectionnow due to his ears not being cleaned properly . Will update once I take him to the vet.12/22/2020 never did i complain about the price. In my initial review i did say i paid with no problem which i did. no where in my review did i bad mouth anyone. I just said what i had to say. It is a REVIEW after all right? After bark ave said they did not service me, i just wrote my full experience to remind you my dog was there. I have absolutely no problem with the initial place i take him. I just expected his ears to be fully cleaned when paying $80 and I dont think me reviewing my experience is something bad. Its my honest review. I am not adding or taking anything out of the experience. I gave bark ave 3 star at first bc i did not like the grooming that was done. Everything else INCLUDING me paying for the upcharge was no problem. Just the face he was not groomed properly. Its at 1 star now due to the unnecessary attitude i am receiving over writing an honest review and being told i was not there when i was. Good luck! Im sure you guys are great with other dogs. Just let the owner know if something could not be properly done so they can take their pup elsewhere to get it done.

This is my dog Snowball that my Daughter Nicole groomed and this photo is being advertised by Bark Avenue even though my daughter no longer works there. She has told me countless times about how Janet left an elderly dog soaking in the tub unattended or went out for a smoke break when my daughter needed help handing a difficult dog. I would not recommend going somewhere where the owner is so disorganized and unprofessional.

Sulley’s first time to this groomer. He was a big smelly mess before. He now is a fine smelling very handsome four legged big boy. He hasn’t look so good since he was a puppy. We are so happy and would recommend Bark Ave to anyone in the area looking for a good groomer.

My dogs are very, very difficult to groom. And that’s an understatement. They’ve been turned away from Pet Smart groomers every time we’ve tried, and the previous groomer we tried infected my boy’s anal gland! The ladies at Bark Ave are absolute ANGELS. I was so paranoid they’d tell us to never come back, because, as expected, my pups were very difficult. I called to check in and heard my boy screeching on the other end. Which is him being overly sensitive and dramatic, not the groomers actually hurting him. But they were so patient with him and so understanding, told us they would never turn away a dog, and that they were happy to be able to help us when other places could not. We got a cute little tie for Dobby and a precious bow for Trixie, and they even gave them little toys. They told us they didn’t want us to feel like they didn’t want our babies to come back; in fact they said “PLEASE come back!” So unbelievably kind. They are our new go-to.

Wonderful, friendly professional staff that treats your pups like their own. Been using them for my 2 dogs since they opened and I couldn’t be happier!! Thank you for always making both my dogs and I super happy.

Not professional. Do not go there. Called numerous times. They did not put seresto collar on correctly and my dog started to chew it off . Thank God he did not ingest anything. That is the most important thing. But had to spend 62 dollars to get a new one. Bad customer service. Lazy people. Thumbs down all the way!

She is a nasty lady. Extremely poor customer service. She does not care unless you are giving her money.

I always have a great experience here! Janet always makes sure we are on the same page as far as the type of styling I want for my little Prince. I also LOVE the little bow ties that she puts on him! He always looks so dapper! Also, the reception room is so warm and welcoming. Its decorated so cute! Ive been to a bunch of other groomers and they are usually just in one big room. It seems pretty chaotic and loud and some dogs probably get stressed out or anxious every time a person walks in the front door. But here, the dogs that are getting groomed are in another room and cant see the people walking in and out. It feels much more organized and seems like it would be less stressful for the dogs. You can tell that Janet really loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into it. I highly recommend this groomery!

The absolute awesomest! So kind and caring of my FurBaby Cockapoo who needs to be carefully trimmed due to skin tags. Super nice and do a fantastic job. They are truly wonderful and I highly recommend!! I bring my FurBaby for his spa day every 8 - 12 weeks, so we have been here A LOT - consistent excellent service; clean, bright shop ...and did I mention super nice!!! 2020 Happy New Year - update - SPA days still going strong! Excellent service and super nice people. Lately we visit every 4-6 weeks and we cannot be more pleased.

Bark Avenue really loves your dogs and treats them like their own. My dog loves going there for her bath, nails, and general grooming.

Avoid this place before you get scammed also!Janet told me cash only and now I understand why.. so she can’t refund you and you can’t fight it on your card!I dropped my dog off at 8:30am Janet told me it should take up to 3 hours for full grooming, I went over in detail what I wanted done and how short I wanted and even sent her pictures of how short I wanted him as she requested she needed pictures to refer back to. (pictures from past groomers) when I returned to pick up my dog and being I paid in cash because it was cash only !He was walked out looking the exact same overgrown hair that he was walked in with, what had looked like they only trimmed his tail and tried to buzz his leg and stopped there.I then told Janet I was pretty unhappy with how it came out and showed her everything, she then continued with excuse after excuse reasons why she didn’t do what I wanted for my dog, she even said the buzzed leg was like that when I got there!!! How does an over grown dog randomly have a buzzed leg?!All I wanted was a grooming I was open to leaving my dog there just to have it done right but after being lied to after simply talking about the situation with Janet, the trust was ruined! She refused to refund me or even a partial refund just to make a customer happy.. it’s a shame places like this are still open.

Bark avenue is absolutely amazing! Janet is extremely accommodating and so good with my dog! My nova is a biter but they always do the best job on her regardless of her fresh behavior! I trust her completely with my dog and would recommend her to anyone that has a dog!

Janet is wonderful with my Maltese and my daughters dog. I won’t bring him anywhere else.Dj always comes out looking perfect, no nicks or cuts . They take into consideration his health issues and the fact that he’s 15 and almost blind.

I brought my three dogs to Bark Avenue today and after not being able to take them for a while because of the Covid pandemic my dogs weren’t in good shape but Janet and her staff made them all look amazing! Janet is very patient and very kind. Janet treats all her clients with respect. I watched her as people came in. She took the time to speak to me to find out about each one of my dogs. My dogs are not easy to groom because they have anxiety when they are away from me but Janet and her staff were so kind to them and so patient. There were no nics on them or hair that hadn’t been clipped they were just perfect and looked adorable and smelled real good too! I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs in her care and I am a very overprotective mommy LOL. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not cost me nearly as much as what I thought it would cost for three dogs to be groomed at the same time. I would highly recommend Bark Avenue to anyone who wants their dog to be cared for with patients, kindness and to get a beautiful haircut even if they are in bad condition when they are dropped off they will look beautiful when they get picked up. Thank you Janet for your kindness and making my dogs look amazing! Bark Avenue is a 10 in my book!
