I’ve bounced around quite a bit but then I founds Mel’s and have been so happy ! I have a Morkie ( Maltese/Yorkie mix ) and Andrea does an amazing job every single time. The scissor work on his face and ears is always perfection. So glad I found them.

I brought my dog there for the first time a week ago, got a full grooming. They cut around his peeny weenie and cut the tip of it in two places. I noticed it the next day since he kept licking it. It has been oozing green pus as to indicate an infection since then.My second issue with this business was the entire place smell like cigarette smoke.Besides these the cut was good and his teeth were sparkling clean.

I’ve been to multiple groomers and no other place except Mel’s has been able to do such an amazing job with our Old English Sheepdog. The staff is professional and takes very good care of our fur baby . We’ve been taking our dog regularly for over 2 years and they’re always consistent. Highly recommend!

Andrea at Mells Grooming is AMAZING. I was taking my Shih Tzu and Terrier Mix to someone more local, but they just werent cutting it! Andrea really listened to how they were previously groomed in Ohio and took the time to look at pictures and ask questions. Both Lacy and Lenny came out looking great! I couldnt have asked for a better groomer!

My cat smelt like pee. Love cuddling with him, cleaned his litter box 2x per day, but alas, still smelt like pee. Went here, and ollie smelt great. Will come again.

What a precious gem we found! I was looking for a local groomer, as I was going out of my way to another place, and have to wait literally all day to pick my pup up. I took a chance on Mell’s, they were so sweet over the phone, had availability on a weekend which was amazing since I work long hours during the week. I dropped off my pomshi at 10am, got back home, by 12 I got a call that he was done. Wow got there and my baby looks so handsome and smelling fresh! Great lil place. They have a cute decor and an even greater staff. So friendly and the pups all look like show dogs. I love that you can see them grooming right there as you walk in. You forget that you are dropping off your pet and become fixated on the show of pet grooming. Will definitely be going back.

Very happy with our schnauzer’s haircut. She always comes home looking beautiful and the place is clean, staff is friendly.

Wonderful groomers! I bring two golden doodles who I dogsit for and through some very understandable circumstances (disability) they tend to be knotty. Mells does a wonderful job and treats them so kindly. Im going back this Tuesday! Also, they do groom cats and not every groomer does. A+++

Just got back from having our 15 year old cat groomed! Our “Lulu” looked and smelled great! The staff at Mell’s were wonderful! Kind, caring, and professional! I highly recommend them for grooming your pets!

Horrible experience. My normal groomer who we’ve been using for 4 years was booked and he had rolled around in mud so needed a quick bath. They took us right away which was nice but then when I picked him up they told me I should give my dog Benadryl and he was difficult. I confirmed with our normal groomer they never had issues. And now ever since this visit my dog HATES going to even our normal groomer. Whatever they did to him ruined his experience and now needs to be medicated for grooming. Ruined for life.

I have a giant Shepard that is the highest baby! Every time I walk in, they are so excited to see him, make him comfortable, and he comes out looking like a stud. The owner Mel is a true gem, and all of her employees have been nothing but wonderful. You will not be disappointed going here. Professional, friendly, and they love your animals. Mells Grooming is the best!Im new to the area and have already been there twice. I have a blind Maltese and teeny shi-poo, not only did they make them beautiful and Clean... the way they love them was so comforting.*Very Clean store.*Staff is incredibly kind and so knowledgeable.*Appointments are easy to schedule*Prices very fair.*So many additional extra services offered at nominal costs.Highly recommend Mells!!Ive done mobile grooming, so many other groomers for years...no more! Miles loves the staff! He gets so excited when he sees them. I know he is being treated with so much love. My big puppy gets the best service here. I highly recommend mels grooming. Not only are the services for your fur babies 10/10 , customer service is too. Understanding patient and great communication.

Mells grooming is fantastic, we have taken all of our dogs and we have a golden doodle, chocolate lab, and a husky Shepard, and each time no matter what grommer we have we have been happy with the results. And their prices are very reasonable. The staff is so friendly along with being efficient and they carry bones that all three of my dogs will eat!

First time going to Mells for my fur baby Sadie whos a shihtzu. She look so beautiful with her puppy hair cut. They were so gently and loving with her. Im so glad we found an amazing grooming place for a great price as well.

I have been bringing my husky here since they opened. I recently moved further east and have tried 2 different groomers. They were pricey, small, and not very clean. I will be taking the trip back to Mells from now on to get my dog groomed. They are worth the drive ! Mells grooming have the nicest staff, they are clean and have great prices. Love this groomer !

I needed to have my dogs nails trimmed. I walked in and was greeted by a smiling face. She took care of me and what we needed. Nice place atmosphere, I would take my dog back!

Been bringing my Aussies here for a few years. mell and her team are caring and the dogs always come back looking great and happy. Ashley is a great groomer there also.

I have been taking my three dogs to Mells Grooming for over 4 years now. This place is clean, staff is very friendly and above all they are masters of their art and it shows in their work. Would never think of taking my pups anywhere else because i know they would never get the care and attention they get from the groomers at Mells.

Very Frustrated very unprofessionalI stopped taking my dog to MellsAfter I notice my dog ear was bleeding and his paw was also bleeding after a grooming section his ear got infected I have to take him to the vetThe lady who I don’t know the name unfortunately not only did a was horrible job but also make my son walk behind to help her do her job (I wasn’t there ) we been taking our dog for 2 years there never again . They didn’t care when I complained either and very unprofessional.if I can give them 0 ⭐️ I would . It’s not even cheap for the service they offer .

First time at the groomer for my cat Pearl who is usually uncooperative and had horrible knots. they got her to be calm ( which absolutely shocked me) and they were able to get the matted knots out in ten minutes! Price was fair and my cat looks so much better! Thanks for taking care of my kitty!

This got great local reviews so I thought I would try them for my puppys first grooming. I specifically told them NO puppy cut...he came out with a puppy cut. Its cold. My poor puppy shivers a lot. I wont be returning and I regret leaving a tip.

Was looking for a cat groomer I could trust for so long, finally found Mels Grooming salon. She was kind, and patient. She explained to me the hair cut that would work well for my cat, and I was soooo happy with the results. My cat is a long haired 9 yr old mancoon and no matter how much I brushed her, she was never comfortable and always seemed tired. After the beautiful and professional cut from Mel, she is not even looking to get brushed, and jumping around like a young cat again! From now on I will only be using Mel, that she personally does the grooming on my cat is so important to me! Thank you Mel for being a great cat groomer!

I have been calling Mells Grooming for the past week and a half leaving voice-mail to set up an appt and I have yet received a call back nor do they ever pick up their phone when I call. For a business owner like myself, it is very unprofessional to not return clients phone calls especially when the client is coming to you. I will never recommend Mells Grooming.The Groomery in Lake Grove picked up the first time with amazing customer service and was very helpful. Dont waste your time here. 🙂

Just took my dog there for the first time. WOW!! They did an excellent job . My 8yr old baby NEVER looked so good. Stephanie was so kind, the place very clean and most of all my baby was happy.

Great job. The girl did exactly what I wanted for my King Charles cavalier. Decent price too. I will be going back there without a doubt. Very good all around. No complaints at all.

Love this groomer. Great service, great staff and top notch grooming. I havent found anyone that comes close to the work they do. Its like comparing the finest Italian food to a TV dinner.

I have been going to this groomer for at least a year now not only did they groom my dog completely wrong but they confused her with my other dog and groomed the other one as she shouldve been done when i picked them up it appeared as if she wasnt even touched her hair was sooooo long and that was the reason i was bringing her in her ears werent even touched and when i asked them to fix it they just botched her face more and didnt even touch her long ears once again. Extremely disappointed and will now be looking for a new groomer.

Great business but Wendy didn’t know what she was doing and ruined my dogs chances of showing this summer. If you can’t do it then say that. Everyone else was sweet and honest.

Do you worry about leaving your dog at the groomer? Well you can leave your concern behind. All the staff here is wonderful. I have a 5lb pomeranian who can be a bit of a pain. She can be sassy with strangers and hates her feet touched. I drop her off and get her back always within 2 and half hours TOPS. She comes back looking fabulous and smelling even better. Truffle is not a huge fan of her spa day...but I appreciate it. The whole staff is amazing. I am so glad I found them after several mishaps with other groomers. ❤❤❤

I use Mells for my pomeranian- She and her staff are always great and Bear loves his spa days! I highly recommend them.

I actually followed my groomer to Mells and it was the best decision I made for my dog. They are very friendly and the place is very clean. My dog is never stressed and he looks great every time. I would give this place 10 stars if it was allowed.

This place is the best! I choose to only go her for my dog. Prior groomers I had bad experience. My dog is terrified of the buzzer but Mels team always took great care of my dog Henny. Thank you guys for being patient and doing an awesome job every time!
