Our dog Augie gained his wings this past Saturday. We made the very difficult decision to bring him in considering his deteriorating condition due to cancer. He had been going to this hospital almost 13 years. They have always been courteous and professional. Just wished that on this one day the paperwork and payment would have been handled ahead of time. It was upsetting to keep coming in and out of the room for paperwork signing when we are sobbing and heartbroken. The community overall trusts this hospital, but how they handle paperwork and payment when people are mourning is a procedure that should be changed.
Great people. Caring and compassionate Doctors. We have been bringing our dogs here for a few years. Last week we had to lay our 12 year old Cane Corso to rest. It was heartbreaking but the staff made the experience less painful by there love and compassion.
Just a disclaimer if you leave a review and the owner provides their email for a “follow up” they are lying. Sent my “follow up” email Dec 16th. Not even a reply. Place is robbery and they know it that’s why they won’t answer. Lack of professionalism and overpriced to the moon. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Misdiagnosed my dog, seen 1 hour late past appointed time, and will charge you 3 times the appropriate amount for pretty much everything. If anyone wants their prices feel free to message me. Highway robbery
It breaks my heart to write this one star review because I have been bringing my animals here for over 15 years and we have been through a lot together. I have always been happy with the veterinarians and all the staff have been wonderful. Yesterday I brought my dog in for allergies and ear infection. The same thing I have been bringing him in for the past 6 years that I have him. The bill was double what I usually pay. Over $400. I was told all prices have gone up. I guess this should be no surprise in this crazy world that we live in, but it shocked me. I am literally heartbroken. I am sick over it. I cannot afford to bring my dog back here. I felt it necessary to write this review to prepare others who use them or anyone thinking of using them.
Do NOT visit this vet!! They are looking to squeeze every penny out of you and not in the business of caring for pets. My nephew, who used this vet regularly, was charged a $121 consultation fee, $366 for an x-ray and $162 to “interpret” said x-ray!! He waited over 1 hour to be seen and spent over $800 just to leave with a diagnosis of a stomach ache, which ended up not being the case. Waiting for an appointment for a quality vet is well worth the wait, but to be charged $350 for an x-ray and $162 to interpret it is highway robbery. This establishment should be embarrassed.Add photos
No one else I trust more than Dr. Sheppard and the all the ladies upfront. We now have our fifth dog with them. They have always gone above and beyond for my fur babies and me.
Sadly I had to put my dog down after 17 years and chose Sayville Animal Hospital. My review is based more on the receptionist I dealt with that day than the care he received. After making this agonizing decision and bidding farewell to my loyal pet, we were chased down by Jackie the receptionist for payment on our way out. We were so distraught we just weren’t thinking clearly. Not only was it their error in not collecting funds ahead of the procedure but her rudeness at such a trying time was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. It’s not like we intentionally were trying to skip out on paying. She could have and should have been more compassionate. I realize she has a job to do but she could’ve shown a shred of decency. Not good business plain & simple - shame on you…
I brought my dog in yesterday the vet was excellent they gave him a prescription. When I brought the Prescription to the pharmacy they totally screwed everything up . I place a call to Sayville Animal Hospital at 8 o’clock at night. A young lady named Chelsey made numerous calls to my pharmacist and did an excellent job correcting them . Thank you Sayville Animal Hospital
This was Walters first visit. We adopted him about 2 weeks ago. Dr Dale was Great as always, answering all of our questions.Peteys yearly visit,Excellent visit today for Petey...June 2023. He loves Dr Dale!. Excellent visit as usual. 11/3/2023Dr Dale is excellent as always. Jan. 2024
A very professional and caring practice, Dr Shepherd and the team treated my dog who was in a lot of pain, with a bandage and antibiotics for a ripped-off claw. They put him (and me) at ease, and the price was very fair.
New puppy mommy and they came highly recommended. Experience couldnt have gone smoother and loved the care my fur baby recieved.
I have a 9 year old pug who’s always been very very healthy. Dr Dale became her new vet when we moved here from RI. He has seen her 3/4 times as she has just gotten sick for the first time. He is the most caring vet she’s ever had, she was in a great deal of pain, and he and his team of techs who gave her meds are amazing. He never made me wait for a call or results and when you’re a dog mom that means alot. Thank you all at Sayville vca
The manager LIZ and the front office staff are absolutely atrocious, rude & cold. The way she (LIZ) )speaks to clients when they dont agree with what shes saying . I felt verbally abused. When I was talking to LIZ trying to explain what happened, Regarding a previous appointment with them, she gaslighted me trying to tell me what happened, instead of what ACTUALLY HAPPENED!. Would not listen to me, overstoke me, While yelling me to stop yelling as she is yelling at me.It was a complete bizarre experience to say the least. A horrible experience.By reading the other reviews, she has done it to others.
I was in the market for a new vet because the vet we used for years (who was recommended by the breeder) was expensive, duplicated testing and took unnecessary measures, they were also insensitive at times. My experience with Sayville Animal Hospital from the scheduling of my first appointment to the checking out was exemplary. The staff was accommodating in scheduling, quick and efficient in execution of our visit and Dr.Sheppard and his team were complimentary, caring, explanatory, and asked questions and gave suggestions for vaccines based on my dogs lifestyle. Sayville Animal Hospital cares, which provides our family with a great amount of security. Thank you Dr. Sheppard and staff, Charlie and I appreciate you!
Yesterday I brought my dog here where I bring him every month to get the same exact thing done as I do every month yet they tried to charge me over $100 extra and when I text them about it, I received a text back saying that I Saw a vet today and got charged more because he saw that what she does every month as you could see in my pictures. Instead of the cashier looking at his files They continue to argue with me and make up excuses why it was Over $100 more. I’ve never had a problem up until yesterday. The vets there are great, but apparently need better people in the front that listen instead of trying to Argue and say that I’m wrong and I mistreated them.
I’ve been going there for 15 years and everything was great my dog has prescriptions and several years ago when they where unable to fill them they suggest I use chewy and it was fine until all of a sudden without warning they decided that they would no longer electronically send the prescriptions . This left me and many others scrambling to get a hard copy prescription and get it filled elsewhere . To make matters worse I was in two weeks ago for yearly shots and no one said anything , no signs where posted and none of the regular vets where there and the new vet does not have the care standards that the other vets demonstrate . When I asked them why they were doing this no one could explain . I can’t believe I’m saying this after 15 years but I will not be returning .
Always amazing. Get and use the Care Club!Weve been coming here for almost three years and everyone is very kind to our pup. Dr Dale was her first visit and she still loves him but everyone treats her respectfully while doing the invasive stuff a vet needs to do.
We have used Sayville Animal Hospital for about 30 years. From our Saint Bernard to our Pug and most sizes in between. Always felt our pets got the best of care. The Drs. take the time to explain and if applicable offer treatment options. The staff is pleasant and helpful.
Hi, neurotic dog parent here. I have been going here for years with my pets. I have done dental cleanings and vaccines here. Generally, every thing was going okay until recent. I brought my dog in for an ear infection. He had hearing going into the appointment. They took him into the back, and applied the medication. He screamed and cried. I noticed that day he lost his hearing completely in both ears when they gave him back. I thought maybe the medication caused his hearing to be temporarily affected. I went back for the followup and my dog has no hearing, and they blame old age. I cant prove human error or malpractice, but Im going to get a second opinion to see if his eardrum is damaged. Its unfortunate this occurrence has dissuaded me from going here, but its time to move on.
They saved my dogs life, the doctor was super professional and very hopeful about my dogs recovery. I changed my dogs vet to this one, not one regret. Junior thanks you!The best vet around!
Very nice and friendly staff. Our furbabies always receive excellent care.
Dr. Dale is the only reason I am bringing my dog to Sayville Animal hospital. He is fantastic with my dog, extremely attentive, gentle when examining him, intelligent, and caring. Dr. Dale also communicates well to me and answers any questions or concerns that I may have. He takes his time with examining and discussing any issues with my dog.
Weve been bringing our pets there for over 20 years. Dr. Shepherd is the absolute best. Jackie at the front desk is amazing!
Fantastic all around.I wouldnt even say theres a wait time unless youre extra early, (maybe). They take the time to listen & they want to know about your pet. They took my cat in right a way, emergency visit, couldnt wait for the Appt. because she couldnt breath.Today was the follow up vist.My cat is not only completely feeling better but Dr. Guasp cured her dry skin problem. Now her fur is so soft & shiny & without dandruff. Big plus... She doesnt shed nearly as much as before!Thank you Dr Guasp
After going to Atlantic emergency room and being told my kitten seemed fine sayville animal hospital went above and beyond to take care of my kitten. We already bring our kitten here for normal check ups and all. And we for sure will continue to bring our kittens here. They are great friendly people that genuinely care about your animal. And they are more then willing to work with you! Thank you so much sayville animal hospital you guys are amazing!
Dr. Sheppard is not our usual vet - we came in for an emergency during Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted to leave a quick review to thank him and his team for fitting us in at the last minute. I brought my pup in due to an accidental injury that was on us (due to lack of supervision). Dr. Sheppard was extremely nice, patient, and not judgmental at all. Luckily, it wasnt anything too serious and he was able to put us at ease with simple after-care instructions. He also gave us a check-in call to make sure things were still going well. Prices were extremely affordable as well. Amazing experience, thank you Dr. Sheppard, Sayville Animal Hospital is lucky to have you!
Dr Dale is the Best. My dogs are in great hands. Thankyou everyone who is so sweet to my Shadow ❤ and Jessie
I take my two German shepherds to this hospital and cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. We ALWAYS get seen in a timely manner especially if it’s a new problem that needs to be addressed. Every single vet we have seen there has been sweeter than the last. I feel so confident having my Bear and Heidi taken care of here.
I’ve been taking my dogs past and present here since they’ve opened well over 3 decades ago. The office staff and Drs are professional, caring and very knowledgeable, and most have worked there a long time. It is a welcoming, safe and friendly environment. Over the years My dogs have been patients of Dr DiMartino, Frosch, Sheppard and Dr Dale. I like them all. They listen, don’t rush you out and explain all matters of concern. My dog is now 17 and the care that she has received at sayville animal hospital has helped her to reach that age.
We had 2 recent visits recently for our current dog and a new shelter adoption dog. Both visits we dropped the dog at the door and the vet called. I felt the conversation was relaxed, thorough and helpful. Paying was easy too. For not being able to be with my pets during the visit they made the experience the best I could have expected.
The best vets in Suffolk county!!! Dr. Dale is amazing!!! The staff is great too!!! Ive been with them for almost twenty years! They took a very good care for my previous dog who lived almost 19 years (collie mix name Raf). Now Im trusting them with my new Brussels Griffon name Yoda. I couldnt be more Happy!!!
We have been coming here for over 17 years, first with our beloved Black lab Shadow and after her passing now with our rescue sisters Oreo & Pepper. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Sheppard is awesome! Office is spotless & they really care.Dr. Sheppard, took care our Shadow her entire life & the compassion he had for us & her during her last days was genuine! He even gave her a Nick name, Shadz!
Where to start , way over priced , dr frosch is a complete moron ,watched his assistant which was an 18 year old kid manhandle and choke my dog and did nothing to advise him . The kid had zero knowledge or training to handle an animal and should have had some training however it was evident he did not . Ended up in an argument with the Dr over how he was allowing my animal to be treated and walked out . Will never go back and will be sure to let anyone who has intention of bringing their dog here not to. Ive owned dogs 2 at a time my whole life and never experienced such unprofessional, Ill equipped team . Do yourself and your animal a huge favor and go elsewhere. Abusive unprofessional zero bedside manner and beyond rude and aloof! Avoid dr frosch at all cost !
After I was turned away from our normal Vet because of lack of staffing from covid they refused to remove a drain placed by an ER on Sunday. Sayville animal hospital was great and scheduled our appointment. It wasn’t emergent so we went for our 4 day follow up with them today. They were fabulous, our wait time was 2 minutes from when I called that I arrived to when they had me bring Chloe up. It was 10 minutes from when I left Chloe at the front to when the Dr called. He had assessed her and reviewed his plan with me. 7 minutes later he called me back, the drain was removed and he went over a new medication. He was kind, thorough and unhurried when talking and explaining everything. Chloe our 3 year old springer spaniel came trotting out happy and energetic... she like them too!!!
Dr. Sheppard is wonderful and I have been bringing my pets here for over ten years. Sadly though, I will be in the market for a new vet because that girl at reception with the green hair is the absolute WORST. Talk about horrible customer service and attitude; zero remorse for wasting a persons time and treating them with suspicion and contempt. Words cannot express how annoyed I am; I sincerely hope enough people complain and get her booted out of there asap. Its a pretty cushy gig shes got, and she clearly doesnt appreciate it. I hear good things about Grady, will probably go that route.
I have been taking my animals here for years. First to dr.di and now dr dale. My dog Lexxie was always treated like she was a rock star! Even when the time comes to say goodbye I can’t tell you how amazing the entire staff was. As for the ladies at the desk they couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Thank you all for everything you did for my baby. While I’m not ready yet I will definitely bring you my next fur baby for your top quality service.
11/18/17 was the last night my daughter had with our dog Pixie the next morning after she passed away at Sayville Animal Hospital. The staff and Doc. Shepard and Doc. Dale were the most genuine caring people I ever met and I never felt like our dog was a patient, they cared and treated her like there own. When she passed due to cancer Doctor Shepard began to tear up. There is no money, gift or words I could possibly say to express how thankful I am for the staff and Doctors at Sayville Animal Hospital. I thank you all for the bottom of my heart!!
Did not have the well being of our dog. The doctors did not go above and beyond to find out what was causing pain and bleeding from his genitals. The doctor actually told us this was a normal thing to happen since he was never neutered. My husband and I went to a different vet for a second opinion. We found out our dog has a severely enlarged prostate and a bad infection. He needs to get neutered other wise this will continue to happen and can lessen his lifespan. The Sayville doctors did not take ex-rays to find a solution. Our dog was not up to date on his shots. The staff was also unfriendly and rude. We will never be coming back here. Absolutely terrible and disappointing to know this was all over looked. People bring their pets to the vet for help, solutions and to just keep the animals healthy, clearly this Hospital doesnt care about those things.
They were very good to my dog through out the years. My family always took my dog there and trusted them. When my dog had to be put down, Dr. Dale was so kind and caring. He made the process has comfortable as he could for my family.
You need to trust your vet like you trust your pediatrician and the doctors at Sayville Animal Hospital are the best practitioners you can find! Dr. Dale truly LOVES animals and he loves what he does. He treats my pets like they were his own and his disposition is more than I could ever ask for. Dr DiMartino has created an amazing practice where his clients can trust in what their doctors recommend for their pets. I can’t say enough about how highly I recommend the staff, the vet techs and EVERY ONE who is affiliated with this practice! 🐱
Excellent staff, All the doctors and staff are professionals and have great bedside manner, recently had an emergency eye injury on my dog, Dr DiMartino examined his eye and explained step by step what to expect during the healing process, even though the office was extremely busy with other emergencies he made sure we were well educated and understood how to care for my dogs eye.Its good to know that the entire staff is there for our family pets! Keep it up guys your doing Excellent jobs!!!!
Dr. DeMartino, Dr. Crespi and Dr Sheppard are the best. I have been going to them for so many years as well as my daughter and her husband. The staff is amazing - I highly recommend them and would never ever bring my fur babies anywhere else.
Our family used this vet for perhaps 20 years through multiple pets and were generally satisfied. Sadly we moved out of state. We were recently back in NY and our dog needed medication after being ill. We arranged with Sayville animal hospital and our vet to have medication prescribed and then picked up at Sayville animal hospital. This was approved by their vet and all arranged. When we called to pick up the medication Sayville claimed ignorance and said they cannot fill the medication. They were rude and irresponsible providing conflicting answers. I can’t talk to the quality of their current medical care but their office management is clearly very poor. So much for customer loyalty. Do yourself a favor...Stay away
Over the years I’ve been pleased with the way they’ve cared for my dog up until this past year, but especially today. They had no emergency appointments for my dog who was panting heavily and having a hard time walking and standing, and they told me to go to the ER vet. My dog has been with them for 13 years, and they couldn’t see him today or tomorrow!!! I’m very angry and told them so.
I have been going to Sayville Animal Hospital for over 20 years with my pets, when I first moved out to this area I had a large Dobie Fred that Dr. Di took care of and did a fine job. Then my two new big boys came next and they spent their entire lives being cared for here and the service was great. Now I have a little girl who has been getting the best of care here up recently, maybe the last year or so. Sadly the change in doctors has been disturbing but more than that, the staff has failed to do what is asked of them, when she is sent back for nail trimming or ear cleaning or anything, some similar Ive noticed when we get home NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. And the sad part is that she has had a couple of nails that have been twisted around into her pads hurting her badly, And when I try to cut her nails she is terrified.....so thanks so much for causing me to TRAUMATIZE MY DOG --BECAUSE YOUVE FAILED TO DO YOUR JOB ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, Ive been forced to do this whatever the risk is, NOW SHE WONT COME NEAR ME AND WE ARE AT SQUARE ONE AGAIN!!!! SO THANKS A HEAP-------- I never intended to say this publicly because have been coming here for so many years, if it happened once, no problem but multiple times showed me that something changed so significantly within the practice that you no longer care about the way you perform and that sickens me because these are living beings, and when you lose compassion for living creatures YOU NEED TO STEP AWAY FROM THE JOB!!!
Thank you so much for treating my cat’s eye infection. Vet Sarah Guasp was wonderful and was able to clean out Eleanor’s eye and prescribed ointment which took care of the infection.Eleanor thanks you for taking care of her!!!!
I have taken all my dogs there for a very long time and I am very happy with the Vet and the Staff . I read people say the front desk is cold , but if they are or arent it really doesnt have anything to do with what I am there for . They are busy , they see people crying all day , its like anyone who builds up an immunity to bad stuff , you basically have to, to survive it . I get it though , some people want to have a good relationship where they leave their dogs , They have been nice to me though . I have even left my dogs with boarding for a week at a time .
The Dr. treated my kitten with kindness and respect even though she was in a very nasty mood, lol!! The price for getting her spayed was much more than other places. But to have a Dr. like the one who operated on my baby it was well worth it.
I’ve brought all of my pets here for over 10 yrs and I always have a good experience. Everyone has always been friendly and helpful.
My family and I recently made the difficult decision to put our 16 year old family beagle to sleep because of old age and organ failure. Sayville Animal Hospital was extremely accommodating, professional and empathetic as we made the difficult decision as a family. I highly recommend the Sayville Animal Hospital team and appreciate their help during our difficult time.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. I know that people say there’s bad experiences everywhere. However, what I experienced here is absolutely horrible. My in laws took their dogs here for years. The last dog they had Holly had gotten sick with cancer that would’ve been caught long ago if the staff decided to do an X-ray instead of brushing it off as arthritis. Once it came to the point of having to put Holly down we wanted to wait for the rest of the family to get there and say goodbye. Dr. DiMartino came in multiple times to the room asking if when we’d be ready and basically rushing us because they were getting ready to leave. We were trying to take our time to say goodbye to our best friend and we’re felt rushed the entire time and he just had a cold demeanor. After that my husband and I continued to take our dog Bailey there because besides that we never had a problem. We took Bailey because she had broken one of her nails and in the past a different vet had sedated her and cut and cauterized it. At Sayville we saw Dr. DiMartino which was Baileys first time with him. He advised he needed to cut the nail and cauterize it but he stated he was not sedating her. We questioned him and he stated it wasn’t necessary. They took her into the back room and we heard her scream and cry, I instantly started crying. They brought her back in bandaged. While she’s walking back into the room I see that there’s blood on the floor. She was literally bleeding through her bandage. The vet tech took her into the back room again and cauterized her without sedation again. When they finally came back in Dr. DiMartino advises he would not be giving her any pain medicine either as she didn’t need it. I went to the desk and requested all of her paperwork and let them know she would never be going back. Now, Bailey has issues with her nails, we took her last month again for an issue with her nail and we took her somewhere else. They advised they would have to sedate her as it is in humane to put a dog through that pain with no pain medicine let alone sedation. Sayville Animal Hospital and Dr. DiMartino do not know how to properly care for animals. Dr. DiMartino should not be working with animals or even humans. He is heartless and has no compassion. No ones animals deserve to be treated with anything but the most loving care. If you have taken the time to read this I hope I was able to help prevent your animals from ever having to go through this.
Great customer service 👏 👌🏽 they treated my havanese with so much care. Also got lucky with late evening appointment. I paid $300 for well exam and 4 shots for my dog. Uggghh so expensive
I have a vet i use close to home. a few months ago we knew something was wrong with my pit, my local vet said you need to get her to an animal hospital asap. Sayville took her right in and within 2hrs she was udner going emergency surgery. The doctor was very straight forward with us, my dog being older complicates surgery, but that he would do everything in his power for us. Thank god for that Dr, i cant remember his name but he saved our dogs life.about two months ago again my local vet wanted to charge me $565 for ONE xray. My other pup was in pain so i took her to sayville. He gave us an antinflamatory and she made a turn around. no xray needed.Safe to say this will be our new go to Veterinarian from now on. The only ciriticism i can give is that some of the receptionists can be snobby and unwelcoming. However the Drs save lives and love animals!!!
Thank you Dr. Sheppard for always being so kind to Shelby. You are so pleasant to talk to about Shelbys health.
We have been going for years, and I would never go anywhere else. Their prices are fare, but more importantly, I feel like our dogs are their dogs. They are wonderful and 10 outta 10 recommend!!!
I was taking my greyhounds, mutts, cats, etc. to Dr. Di starting in the 80s. Dr. Di and Dr. Shepard are two of the most compassionate people I have ever met. I cant say enough about Dr. Shepards compassion when one of my greyhounds was very sick and couldnt eat. He gave him part of his turkey sandwich and Lucas actually ate it! Dr. DiMartino has always been my go to vet for all my various dogs through he years. I moved to Las Vegas 5 years ago and went through 4 vets before I could find one that compared to Dr. Di. I also love Jackie and Liz, at the front desk. They have always been kind and sweet everytime I was ever there.
Dr. Shepherd has taken really good care of my pets. The office staff is always very helpful too.
Ive been using this vet for more than 15 years. the staff is cold and unfriendly. They have no compassion or people skills. You would think that after going there all these years and with 4 dogs, they would smile when you walk through the door. They are very unwelcoming.I am changing to another vet because I want a vet that is compassionate. My dog was there 2 weeks ago and Dr. DiMartino saw her and gave me bad news. She stood over night and then was transferred to a VMCLI in West Islip. That next day after testing and no hope for my dog because she was diagnosed with a mass and kidney failure, I had to put her down. I was devastated. Sayville Hospital for animalsnever called me that Monday to see if my dog was dead or alive. Nothing. It has been two weeks now and they still havent followed upon my dog Kendal. They knew she was seriously ill and not a phone call. How do you not have compassion??VMCLI in West Islip sent me a card for my loss and all of their staff signed the card.I was there for 3 hours and they were so compassionate. Sayville animal hospital should take a few lessons on compassion from that hospital. I am going to a vet in Bayport and I will be bringing my 4 dogs there.
My family has been bringing my pets to Dr dimartino since Im a kid. I remember when the practice was just a small house like building and Dr dimartino met us in the middle of the night and saved my dog from a collapsed esophagus. I see people complain here that the staff is not very friendly but I feel the doctors are competent and knowledgeable and thats whats important to me.
I truly don’t know why anyone brings their animals here, I’ll bring the dogs if I’m in a rush because our regular vet is almost an hour from our house but 100% will not be returning even for urgent issues after my dog gets his staples removed. My appointment was at 10AM I waited til 11:30 to be called in (which wasn’t even the issue.) My dog has sutures placed a week ago and was told the check up/rebandage in a week was included after the initial $734 visit. I had the same thing with my other dog a few weeks prior, luckily we found the glass in our yard and they held their word with him, his weekly check/rebandage was free. This visit we found my dog chewed his sutures out (I wasn’t provided a cone or told to get him a cone to keep this from happening.) I am then informed I will be charged for the staples placed today (ok, no biggie even though it was their fault he was able to chew them off.) my bill is nearly $200 when I ask for a breakdown I see I’m charged for an exam as well, I explain just a few weeks ago the same thing happened and the check up exam/rebandage are included. Today because they had to restaple they also charged me for an exam, an exam that was to be done anyway AT NO CHARGE THEY SAID. After not providing me a cone then having us wait an hour and a half for our visit, keep your word. Go somewhere else, there are much better offices out there that cost less!!
Good care for our not so little pup!
Lost a longtime customer because of your snobby, self-authoratative receptionist on the morning/afternoon of 3/2. She decided my cat doesnt require his PRESCRIPTION cat food because there was no visit on file in the last two years (yet we purchase cat food monthly). Guess what?! Gradys Animal Hospital is right around the corner. 😁 I would reconsider your newer employees; someone with the attitude of her caliber and sheer unthoughtfulness is a detriment to your business nor someone who you would want representing the establishement. Prior to this, we had never once had an issue of any sort with the previous women employed, and actually had great relationships with both them and the various doctors here. She got an ear-full from me, and I can gaurantee she will reconsider before ever single-handedly deciding to decline someones cat the food prescribed by their vet. This is not a receptionists decision to make, nor one that should be shrugged-off to a later time as she carelessly suggested. What a total dissappointment.
Very disappointed I’ve been taking my dogs and cat there for years and my cat is suffering from excessive drooling all of a sudden. I called to make an appointment and they will not see me for a week and a half??? Unfortunately going to have to find a new vet even though we love dr dale and dr Shepard!
Ive had my Dane there three times so far . The people there are friendly and caring. The prices are reasonable. Overall so far a good experience.
Pay no mind to the negative reviews, my dog is a pretty new patient here and since day one they have been nothing but the most kindest, helpful, and friendliest vet Ive ever been too 👍
Love Dr. Shepherd and the staff. They are very friendly and you know your pet is well taken care of.
The Dr was great. She called me to lmk the results from Skylers blood work. Reasonably priced. I would go back again.
They took real good care of my husky / Australian Shepard girl when it was time for her to cross the rainbow Bridge 🌈 ... I am grateful 🙏.
Great vet practice... can be difficult to get appointments at times so definitely plan ahead.
My dog was sick the staff was very helpful and compassionate needed to put her to sleep gave me time to spend with her and sent me a condolence card signed by the whole staff
This place has the warmest staff in the area. Theyve been so friendly with my two cats Alexander and Oscar. Trusted professionals ❤ Highly recommended 👌
One of the best animal hospitals I’ve been to! Staff is very professional, and demonstrated honest, genuine care for my dog!!
It was very good. The staff was very friendly and professional. No complaints.
Dr. Frosch is so attentive and caring for my dog and the staff is wonderful and efficient.
Great place, good vets who actually care about your pet. Great helpful staff, could be a little cheaper with their visit price but overall great place
They do a great job running my bunnys nails. Quick and affordable.
Couldnt get an appointment soon enough for my new puppy. Ended up needing meds but Ive hear mixed things from here
Pleased with the exceptional care of the staff and Dr. Jason Dale in providing vetenary services.
I had to put my 20 year old cat to sleep today and the whole staff was wonderful and so caring...
Great staff! Always take care of us 🫶🏼
Have been going here for 30 years. Doctors really care.
The best place. i will never go any where else. they are amazing, helpful, wonderful and great with the animals. they are 100 percent in my book
They take great care of our cats. They care.
Beware of this veterinary hospital staff is very rude and the secretary Liz is very nasty and disrespectful definitely won’t be bringing my pets here for check ups I recommend going to another VCA location hope this helps.
LIARS.....love my baby girl with all my heart BUT my boyfriend at the tim,e, Paul, and I were lied to about her care, health and her age
I been using Sayville Animal Hospital for the past few years I have taken both our pets for years we have chosen a few select doctors there over other doctors. Now after i had the nerve to question a price of a procedure that was going to be done on my pet and also i dared to question why there was such a price increase on a shot from one year to the next. I had Dr. Frosch call me and tell me that from now on Dr. Dale and his staff were not comfortable with myself or treating both my pets? I have been nothing but friendly and courteous whenever i go into that office I always greet Dr. Dale and complete our visit with a handshake. But I do ask that certain procedures done to my pets are done in front of me as to insure to my pets a sense of security. I did direct my questions to their office manager who is if you dare question her will try to cut you down and as I see here has fabricated a totally different story its a shame because Dr. Dale is a great doctor but dare you question anything and the front desk rules!!!!
I take my 2 Goldens to Dr. Dale. Hes the best.

Nice staff and really great with the animals. Reasonably priced. Services provided and suggested are appropriate.
I found a lost dog and went to Sayville to see if they could find a chip in the pup. They staff was awesome and took the time to help even though I had never been there before. They did find the chip and with a little work they where able to find the owner and puppy and owner were reunited.
I recommend Sayville Animal Hospital to anyone I know who has fur babies. I have been going here for over 14 years. My four cats were never treated so well, they had their favorite doctor. He kept them calm, unstressed, and easy to handle. Even until their last days. My new fur baby has his favorite and he is a catch and release. The staff treats you like family and with respect. You may have to wait but don’t you want your baby getting the same dedication and attention? I DO!

I have been taking my dogs to Sayville animal hospital for over 6 years and have always received excellent treatment. Today surpassed my expectations. One of my dogs needed surgery to remove some growths and have a dental cleaning. Hes about 14 so surgery is always a concern at that age. After discussing some symptoms my dog was experiencing, Dr Sheperd decided not to do surgery. My dogs safety was more important than the surgery. Words cant express how much that meant to me as a pet owner. These doctors and staff are wonderful and very ethical. I highly recommend them.
Very caring and loving to the patients.
We have been going here for 6 years. We have left this vet because of 2 major things, the office staff are so unfriendly, and they are overcharging for yearly exams and giving shots that the animals do not even need. this is the first dog we ever owned so i placed trust in this well known office for doing whats right for my dog, one example he was given a bordatella shot every year, and my dog has never or will ever be boarded,. prime example of not even explaining what you are doing to my animal. I am not a vet , i do not know what shots need to be be done when, it is their job to FULLY explain what they are giving the animals and for what purpose. so extremely happy with my new vet!!! wouldnt recommend SAH TO ANYONE!!
They took really good care of my Bijons
