I don’t usually a leave reviews but felt compelled as this his the most kind and most helpful pet store we have ever experienced. Amazing experience and highly recommend. Incredible staff and selection of animals. Love this place!!

Just received my baby Mangrove Monitor. He appears to be very healthy and is quite active inside his new home. Tyler called me to personally verify when I would like my monitor sent, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He even sent an email with a picture of the exact monitor that I was receiving. This was my first time ordering a reptile online and they made it an incredible and enjoyable experience. I will absolutely be buying my next pet reptile from them again!

They are very helpful and informative there. The food seems to be fresh, and they have lots of options for environments of different kinds. The main thing that stands out is they dont give you an attitude if you have a bunch of questions. Instead, they try to help as much as they can and i feel like the advice is genuine and I dont get the feeling that they are just pushing into an upsell like some places that just want to sell you more things or up the total price tag.

Absolutely fantastic place and deserves 10 stars if possible. The staff is extremely knowledgable and supportive of new reptile owners. They always welcome questions and provide thorough solutions to issues. The sub-adult ball python I purchased from them came healthy and adjusted well into its new enclosure. I have another lizard on hold that Im waiting to pick up. Im excited to keep working with these guys and supporting their business.

Absolutely love coming to Jungle Bob’s. My husband & I come all the way from Brooklyn and it’s worth it! They are honestly the best reptile store and we’ve been to many over the past year yet nothing compares to Bob’s. All of the workers are kind and knowledgeable. We also purchased our bearded dragon Monkey from them in April and it was the best decision ever. All of there reptiles are super healthy & well taken care of. I highly recommend!

Awesome place for pet reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates!I purchased 6 blue death feigning beetles from Jungle Bob’s a few months ago and they’re still doing great, and today I got my first tarantula (Arizona blond/A. chalcodes) from there and I couldn’t be happier with the service! Adam is cool and was great to chat with while I was selecting which A. chalcodes I wanted. I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman who helped me bring my new pet’s tank out to the car, but he was great too and really all the people who work here are chill and know their stuff, but I have to shoutout Adam who has happened to help me out each time I’ve gotten live animals from them. Definitely check them out!

My favorite place to visit old and new friends and almost always bring home a new tarantula 😅 their reptile selection and supplies and incomparable to any other exotic shop on the island. They’re knowledgeable, I’ve personally known bob for over 15 years and him and his sons and awesome. The staff are incredible and unlike any other pet store they ALWAYS do the right thing. You won’t find dead or sick animals in cages or anything that isn’t literally the ideal enclosures. I refuse to go anywhere else for my tarantulas or cave gecko supplies. You guys make the hour car ride worth it!

The best in the Business. They are very careing and will do anything to help you. I highly recommend them to any one . I live in ohio and Id rather do business with them then anyone else. I have been a long time customer of jungle bobs (about 11 years or so). This place is hands down the best place to get reptiles, arachnids, supplies, feeders, the list goes on. The staff has always answered any questions, even helped with one of my ball pythons years ago in the Oakdale location. I’ve gotten snakes , frogs, geckos, and lots of tarantulas, and they all have been healthy and have thrived. Very lucky to have such a great reptile store close by.

I got a baby Gargoyl gecko about a month or so ago from them and I have to say thank you to all the staff that works there for properly taking care of all the animals. They are all very healthy and beautiful thank you guys so much.

My latest visit I got some feeder mice to raise as pets.. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name but he helped me identify the girls from the boys and was so kind and helpful. These babies have been the sweetest mice I’ve owned. I’m very grateful to this wonderful place!

Pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and patience shown to my son. We were curious if a Gecko was a good addition to our family. All of my sons questions were answered and he fell in love with his new pet Gecko. I highly recommend Jungle Bobs Reptile World.

Great place to do business for all your reptile needs. We have been going here for years to purchase reptiles, tanks, live feeders, etc. They may even be able to help you out with random part for an older aquarium. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and courteous.

As another customer has said, I can say the long drive was MORE than worth it. I came in wanting a western hognose, and Dylan assisted me every step of the way. He answered every question I had with ease, and was so so sweet. I held a few different snakes, and finally picked a beautiful albino western hognose.I couldn’t be happier with my new addition (first snake by the way). Thank you again to everyone at Jungle Bob’s!

Jungle Bob’s Reptile World has far surpassed the expectations I have for any store. Tyler, Matt, and the rest of the crew are so informative, helpful and friendly. The animals in the shop are well cared for, healthy, and the store is super clean.After a lifetime of owning dogs, cats, birds, and fish tanks we have welcomed a lizard into our home. The staff at Jungle Bob’s has walked us through the process and are responsible for our success with our baby bearded dragon. They respond immediately to emails and calls, and never tired of the endless questions I have about the care of our dragon.Recently we boarded our bearded dragon at Jungle Bobs while we went away on vacation, and we were so happy to know that he was being cared for by experts.Whether it’s for information, mail order bugs, or supplies for your reptile I highly recommend Jungle Bobs for all of your reptile needs.And, as other reviewer‘s have mentioned, it is totally worth the drive. We drive over an hour to get our supplies at Jungle Bobs and never feel like it wasn’t worth the trip.

We buy our spiders from them. So far 4, an Arizona Blonde, a Gooty Metallic Saphire, a Pink Toe and a Dominican Purple. They are doing very well. We also get our pets food and supplies from them. The food, crickets for our spiders and frozen rats and mice for our pythons, are really fresh and affordable. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a great place for serious pet owners.

I don’t leave reviews too often but I wanted to just praise Jungle Bobs and how great they are. We bought our awesome axolotl from there and Adam the axolotl guru has been so helpful. He answers all my questions (a lot) and has always been very patient. They are very knowledgeable and really care about the animals. They are all great over there and I just wanted to say thank you for everything they do!

Just had to share how wonderful of an experience I had at Jungle Bob’s while adopting a beautiful leopard gecko. I have been to Jungle Bob’s in the past, when I had my beardie and they are just as great now as they were then! Answered all my questions, were so personable and really take the time to make sure those purchasing their reptiles are skilled in handling them and taking care of them. This is a difficult review to write as the staff at Jungle Bobs is very knowledgeable and the store has everything reptile related you can want. They have an excellent selection of animals, foods, supplies, habitats, etc... I do not mind driving the 60 minutes, each way, from my home to visit the store. I have bought several animals from them, habitats, foods, and many supplies. I have also boarded my animals with them over the past few years (crested geckos)Today was the last day I will be patronizing Jungle Bobs as their prices shot through the roof and the discount they used to provide me for boarding multiple animals at a time seems to have disappeared too. After leaving the store today I truly felt that I was ripped off or taken advantage of. This is something I never felt working with Jungle Bobs.This week I boarded four crested geckos for six days. These are very low maintenance animals and are not even fed every day. I could not believe what I heard when the person behind the counter said the cost of boarding was $360. They charged me $60 per day ($15 per gecko) for the full six days. When I explained that this was significantly higher than what I paid in the past, I was told Our prices went up. I reluctantly paid the amount, as I did want my animals back, but I decided right then that I will not be coming back.As I will need boarding services again, I am now looking for other options for places to board my animals. Driving the hour each way to get food, mulch, calcium, or items for their habitat will now be replaced by the abundant number of online places that I can shop at.

Best place to get all your reptile,amphibians and animals food vitamins ext they will even help you set up a habitat for the animal your going to purchase to ensure it will live a happy and long life Adam is very good and he knows his stuff when you ask him questions about the animal your going to purchase definitely recommended even if your not going to get a pet its amazing to see all the animals they have there

We drove 30 minutes to Jungle Bobs, and it was absolutely worth the drive. They have a huge selection of both animals and supplies and are immensely knowledgeable. Dylan spent over an hour with us, had unending patience, let my daughter hold what felt like EVERYTHING, before introducing her to a beautiful little pink corn snake and getting us set up with everything we need to take care of her. Thank you again to Dylan for your patience and kindness, and for letting a little girl hold at least half a dozen delicate young reptiles without any hesitation. You made my little girl very, very happy.

I originally started coming here to get supplemental bugs and frozen pinky mice for my hedgehog and I was impressed. You can genuinely tell the staff care about the animals as I have had one gentleman (I feel so bad for not knowing his name.) take the time to explain the differences/risks in feeding frozen vs live from one mammal to another. He also answered all my questions about tarantulas (as I had always wanted one) and helped me pick out a Chaco Golden Knee as I asked for one that would be good for a first timer.I recently purchased a ball python and when I came into the store to get the live fuzzy mice for her, I had another gentleman not only answer my questions but actively show me products as examples when asked about upgrading my tarantulas enclosure as its in a small condiment container and dont want it to get harmed.I cant say enough good things about Jungle Bobs and will continue to go to and recommend the shop to people (IE a guy I met in Petsmart was looking at stuff for a bearded dragon he was purchasing and just directed him to JBs) because the shop and its staff care about what they do and will tell you whats in the best interest of the animal rather than advice to just make money.Thanks from me and my interesting little family!

The most amazing repetible store you can imagine! We drive from Brooklyn here to get a bearded dragon and all the needed the supplies for him. The stuff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the variety of reptiles they have is astonishing - my 7yo was in awe

My 9 y/o daughter and I went into Jungle Bobs to buy tiny fruit flies for her praying mantis hatchlings. They were very helpful and we got what we needed. She had been asking for a cool pet for a while and Tyler at Jungle Bobs let her hold a baby bearded dragon. It was love at first sight! They hooked us up with everything we needed and gave us a discount since we were first time customers. My daughter is overjoyed and has spent many hours so far with her new critter. Thanks Tyler and the gang!

Id give this place 20 stars if I could. I bought an exo-terra terrarium way cheaper than it goes for online. They even helped me load it into my car. The two hour drive from home to Jungle Bobs was well worth it. Ill be going back soon.

Soo super grateful for the AMAZING staff at Jungle Bob’s! They really are sooo helpful and caring. They pay attention to detail and are there every step of the way with our reptile! From calls to messages on IG, randomly stopping by for advice… I haven’t been the easiest customer but they honestly have been sooo kind!

I am so impressed with Jungle Bobs! The day I ordered my ball python I sent emails that they responded to almost immediately, then I ordered her on a Sunday and she was here by Tuesday. Shes alive and seems very healthy and Im just so happy with my experience! They were so wonderful to work with and I just cant say enough good things! Ive been shopping at Jungle Bobs for so many years and I cant say enough great things about this place. They are knowledgeable and go above and beyond. Ive personally driven Tyler crazy with a million questions and he is unfailingly patient, helpful and kind. Ive been recommending them forever, this is the place for all of your reptile needs.

Best reptile shop on the island. The guys are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful; and the animals are always healthy, clean, and well taken care of. They always have a variety of feeders available at good prices and plenty of supplies for both beginner and advanced keepers. Ive been coming here for years and Ive always had positive experiences. Its an hour long drive for me to get here, but I dont mind going a little out of my way for a great quality shop like this.

Spectacular!!They have such a wide range of reptiles, I came here to purchase a jumping spider, (which btw, this was the only place on Long Island that had jumping spiders. I was calling multiple places for months and never found any luck. I was told, It was a fad, too many times and I dont care if its a fad!! They are magnificent spiders!) ANYWAY I came here for that and I spent a long time browsing through their critters and supplies. Tons of supplies, especially for building terrariums, thats always really helpful! Like mini plants, wood, rocks, glass containers, etc.Adding onto the great stock they have, the employees are so passionate and wonderful! I love experiencing workers that actually are interested in what they do and love to share that passion.Cody was awesome, he took out some reptiles to show my parents and I and he showed us their friendly snake that he takes to the library with him.A GREAT place that I will definitely be revisiting, regardless that its 30 minutes away! I love this store and the people that own/work here! Theyre knowledgeable. They are fun to talk to and work with. They have a full stock of everything that you would need to start owning a reptile (or multiple reptiles LOL) before you even walk out the door. I always stop in, whether or not Im picking up a new pet, or just saying hello. They have a great rapport with all of their customers!

Ive been going to Jungle Bobs Reptile World for years. They are one of, if not the most well-known reptile store in the tri-state. Their staff is great and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to just about any species you can think of. The store is always clean and they have a huge selection of items in the store from gecko food to snake hides your sure to find it, I myself love the cork bark they have. Over the years Ive bought many animals from them and not once did I ever have an issue. Any time I have questions or a silly problem these guys are literally a phone call away. If your into any type of animal, reptile or not. You have to check these guys out. They are the absolute best.

We found a tiny lizard in our house that must have been in a plant I just bought. The big box pet store couldnt identify it and referred us to Jungle Bobs. They were so helpful and knew immediately that it was a brown anole and that it must have gotten here somehow from the south. They knew just what was needed to care for him and what he eats.Jungle Bobs has such a helpful and knowledgeable staff! Definitely worth a visit.

Just wanna say I’ve been coming here for a year and a half now since I got my leopard gecko and these people have never let me down. The workers and owners are not only experienced but also care deeply about reptiles and making sure their needs are met. I would trust them with my gecko any day knowing how carefully they treat all their animals. Highly recommended

We bought my brother a tarantula from Jungle Bobs. The people working there are friendly and very knowledgeable. This is a very fun store to visit. We love looking at all the different reptiles and cool things they have to offer. Jungle Bobs is an awesome place with awesome people working there. 👍

By far one of the best places to go if you want to buy anything reptile related when i first started going there they made me feel so comfortable tyler ,matt, Dylan, and of course adam ...... Answered all is my very many questions like i cant even tell u how many questions i must have asked them in the beginning it was her all new to me and they were so amazing with me

This place is the absolute best. From the employees to the customers. My kiddo loves reptiles and we visited Jungle Bobs for the first time today. This place was terrific. They employees allowed my kiddo handle a variety of different animals in the store. We chatted for a little while to learn what type of reptile would be good for her age. We will be coming back for an addition to the family soon. From what I could see the prices are impossible to beat. And when you have a staff like theirs...

Jungle Bobs is fine as long as nothing goes wrong. If something goes wrong, expect to be blamed and personally attacked by the owner. I don’t look forward to the reply to this review.

Staff was extremely informative and fun to talk to. They will answer any question you have, simple or complex, with the same high level of enthusiasm. Prices are amazing. You can tell the animals have the best possible care, and with the help of the staff knowledge and products, theyll make sure your reptiles will be too. This store was recommended to me by a friend when I was having trouble finding what I was looking for, I traveled a few hours to check it out and it was well worth it!

Great place. Great people. By far the best reptile store in the county. Not to be dramatic But to be honest probably the country. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful and patient with all of my concerns or questions. They put their customers and the animals first and it truely shows.

Great customer service, sent me pics of my tailless whip scorpion before they shipped. Reasonably priced items, I would recommend Jungle Bob.

Their axolotls swim in poop filled water and have obvious signs of skin problems from the ammonia in the water. Geckos are all scrawny, water bowls dirty. Most tanks are very dirty. Its sad to see the animals not cared for. The worst was a green tree python full of mites I saw a while back. Sure buy your crickets here, but not your pets. Go see for yourself, and dont believe the owners inevitable balogna response. Only amatuers buy their pets here. Real hobbyists go to breeders.

Any questions I had were answered and in detail. You can tell you’re working with some of the best experts in the business once you start talking to them. Dont know what Walter ODonnell is saying this place is clean animals are always well taken care of and they know there stuff and are always helpful been coming here for awhile now gotten snakes beardies and alot others theres a reason they are voted best on long island its because they are and they are all so into their job jungle bob never change because you guys kill it also no one there gives off a douchy vibe

This place is awesome. Very knowledgeable, friendly staff, and they got whatever you need. Ill be using them for everything my little beardie needs!They got tons of live insect feeders too! I got horn worms, super worms, and a bunch of dubia roaches. All healthy and ready to go. Needless to say, i wont have any use for chewy anymore, jungle bobs insects are much better quality.P.S.Idk how this place has any bad reviews, i read a bunch of them and theyre all just the classic angry, stupid, long islanders.Its worth a trip out even if youre not super local. Trust me, you wont be dissapointed.

I met Bob many years ago at an expo and love the store so much. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. In all of these years, I am happy to say Ive never had even one negative experience. From pets to feeders to accessories and setups- they have a huge selection, and will go out of their way to find something for you if they dont have it. Tyler has gone above and beyond even though I am a pain, and I hope this store is around forever.

I was completely enamored the first time I went into this store. The staff were so helpful with helping me pick out my first pet tarantula. 4 arachnids later, it’s safe to say I’m in love with Jungle Bobs.

This place is genuinely the best Reptile Shop/Pet Store I’ve ever been too. They don’t only sell the animals they genuinely care for them. And although being a pretty big business they treat you with the attention of a small one. Every time I go in there’s a knowledgeable and genuine person up front. They are always polite and open to questions. Almost every time I’m there I’m always able to have one on one time to discuss my pets needs and get there opinion on certain things. You can tell these people really have passion for these animals and really take pride in what they do. My first experience with Jungle Bobs was as a kid when Bob himself hosted one of my birthday parties, and a decade later I still remember it. He didn’t only show the animals but taught us about them with great enthusiasm. They also don’t only breed the animals but they take in rescues too that they genuinely care for. They are always up for rehabilitation and taking a closer look at certain animals. They don’t only have a good selection but they are all housed appropriately which is refreshing to say the least. Please don’t confuse this place with BTJ’s who practically abuse and neglect their animals. With that being said Jungle Bobs is definitely your one stop Reptile Shop

Ive been going to Jungle Bobs for about 1 ½ years or so now and Ive always left happy and satisfied with the purchases & assistance Ive gotten everytime. Any question Ive had they have always taken their time to make sure i understand & totally satisfied with the help Ive been given. They are very knowledgeable with reptiles and if one person doesnt know they always find someone who does and can help me. I definitely recommend this place especially to people who are just starting out with a new pet.

First off Tyler made my kids day!!! Awesome!Our experience to Jungle Bobs was amazing! We drove nearly 2 hours just to get to this place, there aren’t so many reptile pet stores around and this was one of the nearest ones, also my kids enjoy watching their YouTube videos. From the minute entering the door we were welcomed by Tyler he was so great and patient with my boys and there 1,000 questions he knew we drove from far and made our experience awesome especially the boys he made it super fun and very informative to my kids and enjoyed looking at each reptile an letting them pet and hold some of them (of course with safety measures) in the store along with the million questions that the kids had. Tyler was super great and informative and patient and at no moment did we feel rushed or as if we were bothersome at all (considering we spent probably over 2 hours in the store) and Tyler stuck by my kids the entire time circling over and over each reptile . He brought out Castro which was pretty cool. My kids really enjoyed this place. Not so many places like this left. Tyler was super helpful and helping us out with Bearded Dragons and explaining to my son the “care list” of having one as a pet. Overall this place is awesome and the people who work here know what they are talking about and are caring about the customers and pets. We look forward to a long relationship with these guys once we get our Bearded Dragon!

Jungle Bobs is the best pet shop around. Weve been coming here for years and make the trek from Brooklyn. Its well worth the drive for us. A great variety of really cool reptiles amphibians and invertebrates will have you setting up your own zoo before you even know what hits you! They have an excellent variety of feeders. The best part of this place is the staff. Welcoming, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and beyond patient and kind. ! We recommend this place to everyone we know!

Best Reptile store on long island! Ive gotten all of my reptiles from this location and all are super happy and healthy due to the extensive and valuable knowledge of all of their employees. I will never shop anywhere else! I highly recommend this store!!!!

Seriously dont know why i havent reviewed sooner but jungle bobs is genuinely a good place. there is a community created within the store and support for everyone weather they purchased their animal from jungle bobs or not. saying jungle bobs does not care about their animals is actually insane when ive seen them go out of their way to provide care for animals or help find an exotic vet when there is an issue out of their range of abilities. even simple things like finding larger goliath worms in the back for us because we hadnt been able to make it to the store. truthfully, there have been small things ive question about small things theyve said when it comes to care but there are two important things to consider, they are not saying that is exactly what you have to do and there will be ten different opinions on everything online when it comes to reptile and amphibian care. saying the animals they sell are sickly also makes no sense, if you want to see sick animals go to petco. getting into reptiles i had prior knowledge before buying my bearded dragon but i was worried going into the store we would be pushed aside or almost discriminated against for or knowledge/lack of but that wasnt the case at all and speaking with the employees was more reassuring than anything. its a good store that cares about its animals receiving false hate.

I drove from two hours away with my family and wasnt disappointed one bit!!! Awesome informative staff. Very Helpful. We ended up coming home with a Northern Blue Tongue Skink. Beautiful Creature. All the Animals they had on Display were absolutely Amazing. I wish I lived closer to this Place. Id be going in more often. Highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in reptile. These guys know what theyre talking about. The store has a huge variety of reptiles and supplies, pretty good prices and always have a way to help. Also, the store is very clean, enclosures are maintained and its something that keeps you entertained even if you are just bored and want to see some cool animals. Wonderful experience with Jungle Bob’s! Like so many other reviews say, these people really know their stuff and care about the well-being of the animals. Tyler, my bug guide, helped me have patience and wait for the right window of temperature to ship my order of two emperor scorpions. Sadly the story isn’t all happy; they got caught up in a Fed-Ex negligence nightmare that delayed their overnight arrival to five days. Thanks to Jungle Bob’s heat packs and careful packaging/insulation, one scorpling survived against all odds. I was distraught at the loss of the other, but grateful one of them was energetic and thriving. Although I didn’t expect it, this store immediately refunded me for the scorpion who didn’t make it, despite it being the post office’s fault. It’s a shining example of their great customer service. They’re very open to communication, and invited me to call again with any questions about my scorpion friend. I recommend this place to anyone who wants reliable service and quality critters. This place has all the best perks you’d expect from a small business with lots of variety. I’m absolutely in love with the little scorpling (henceforth named Sasori), who’s curiously exploring his big new enclosure. Quite the friendly little one, he even willingly crawled onto my hand just for the sake of climbing me. Would give 6 out of 5 stars if I could!

We purchased our baby axolotls about 6 weeks ago. The crew there have been very helpful to us with our frequent visits and questions. The place is clean with a welcoming atmosphere and all the critters look happy and healthy

In comparison to other pet shops, it has very good customer service, has a diverse range of exotics, good feeders, and the prices are very great. I would actually recommend going to this store in comparison to going to Petsmart/Petco/Petland, etc. The only thing I would say is that their tarantula slings (the size of a penny/dime/smaller) dont last very long.

Had another great experience here. My leopard gecko had a cut next to her eye that was getting worse, before bringing her to a vet I brought her to Jungle Bobs in Selden because I knew theyd either be able to help me or refer me to a vet that has experience in reptiles (hard to find) luckily they were able to clear out her eye and told me what to do to help her get better. They are awesome here and I also get my geckos food here as well and they live longer than any crickets Ive gotten anywhere else. I definitely recommend people go here for all their reptile needs !

My daughter and son-in-law purchased a Uro from this store approximately 6 weeks ago - in good faith and trusting that this animal was being sold healthy and caring for this animal based on the advice of the store personnel. Today, after expending much expense, effort, love and care - they were told by a well respected Vet with over 25 years experience that they had no choice but to put the poor creature down. Not only are my kids heartbroken - but upon reaching out to the store to relate what had transpired - they were met with nasty comments and were made to feel even worse than they already do. Shameful attitude and behaviour

I ordered 2 lygodactylus williamsi from here and they are so beautiful. Arrived healthy, packed safely.FedEx had a delayed flight which caused these guys to be in shipping for an extra day and it didnt affect them at all. Tyler was super supportive the whole time, trying to contact FedEx for updates as I was, and I know he was also busy in the store.Communication was quick and helpful. Definitely will order from here again. Very satisfied.

Told customer not to cycle an Axolotl tank which is fairly likely to kill the animal. Axolotls are incredibly sensitive and can suffer ammonia burns and shriveled gills/gill filaments from uncycled water. Makes me wonder if they’re hoping people’s new animals die so they can sell more than one to clients.

Outstanding reptile store with many selections, great selections with many morphs, the staff are very experienced, helpful and friendly, Tyler helped us out on buying our first baby king snake and was far and beyond outstanding and patient with us selecting the right snake. Went in today because we had our tank set up and needed something in it. A young man with brown hair had answered everything i asked and told me in a month or two our beardie will need a bigger tank.He set me up with crickets, a hidden, logs and an awesome juvenile male bearded dragon. They have absolutely everything you need if you own a reptile. My beardie LOVES the subía roaches from here and they gut load all their insects so you don’t have to!! Plus they have this AMAZING snapping turtle that looks like a dead log and has a tongue made to look like a worm and it’s mesmerizing. Super knowledgeable and helpful and friendly.

Wonderful place for bearded dragons. Has a wide veriety of reptiles, has a lot to choose from as fare as food items for bearded dragons. This place has a lot of what the commercial stores dont have and thats actual knowledge of reptiles.Ive been coming here for years and have had jungle bob come to numerous birthday parties that Ive attended.And if you are looking for literally any sized size Zilla tank and cant find it Jungle bobs more than likely will have it. Including any other need you will need to care for your reptile.I will always choose this store to care for my reptiles and get the right knowledge and quality products over Petco or PetSmart any day.

I purchased a baby, two month old ball python from here. They sold me all the wrong things, wood chips, a small water bowl, a plastic hideaway, a big heat lamp. The substrate can splinter them and if ingested can hurt them internally. The heat lamp is too big for the size of the tank resulting in no cooling side for her. The water bowl is too small for her size to soak in which is important for their hydration and shedding. Due to the improper habitat she hasnt eaten since Ive taken her home. All they want to know is IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH HER? If there isnt are you willing to wait until there is something medically wrong? All they told me was i was taught by breeders, this isnt wrong. Well according to various snake owners, and a veterinarian you are wrong.They do not know what they are doing here. They take full ADVANTAGE of new reptile owners. I will NEVER go back.

If youre buying an animal here take it to the vet ASAP! I purchased a uromastyx in early December with my fiancee. I also own a ball python, leopard gecko and blue tongued skink. Jungle Bobs had set a uro aside for me and he looked good to me! I brought him home, caged and fed him on the advice I received at the store and hoped for the best. Over the next few weeks, my uro ate less and less, losing weight and becoming more lethargic. I called for advice and received more of the same, make sure temp/lighting is right (it was), correct food type (it was), correct time of day feeding, etc. Despite my efforts and other research online my uro was not doing well. So today I take it to my reptile vet with over 25 years experience with reptiles, who tells me that my Uro looks to have advanced metabolic bone disease. Given I have only had the uro for 6 weeks and the progression of the disease in the animal, he had to have been sick when sold to me. The vet told me that my best option was to put down my uro who was clearly suffering and seemingly too far gone to recover so I did that. My fiancee reaches out to Jungle Bobs about the situation on instagram and is told off! Tyler told us that his experience and expertise was more qualified than the vet, that we were at fault and that we should have brought the animal to him instead of being put down. He refused to acknowledge any of what the vet said and disputed the MBD on the basis of a 5 second video a month old, refused any further discussion and made me feel worse than I already do. He tried to blame the trip to the vet as causing the uro to feel or seem ill despite the uro going to the vet today after not looking well and my best efforts at the advice of the store to nurture him to health. I admit that we could have been a bit more polite but anything we said was met with rebuttal. I believe they have a return policy if anything happens to your animals health within x amount of days from purchase and they have an amazing selection of animals, so if youre going to buy shell out extra and get to a vet to avoid the headache and heartache I have experienced!

Went here for frozen mice. as a first time owner of a snake i needed alot of things and didnt even know where to begin. When i walked in a man with long white hair asked what i needed. i told him im here to buy some frozen mice. he didnt even respond back just shifted his attention and walked away. i had to ask him again after finding him, where he did the same thing. Finally got my product asked him how to feed, he told me to just feed it in the same tank it lives in, which online and EVER pet owner and store strongly advises against. Also spoke to the other pet stores in the immediate area, apparently jungle bob is infamous for a large amount of pets that die shortly after receiving the pet. If you know what you are looking for i think its a great store. seems to have everything you need. But dont except any real help, i know i am taking my business elsewhere from now on and will strongly advise everyone else to do the same.

They have a great selection of reptiles but besides the snakes the other lizards are treated poorly. I am a Bearded dragon expert. I know how to handle and take care of bearded dragons. They are not suppose to be cage together no matter what. Only for breeding and when they are very young. The cages are so small that they put them in. I can go on here. I wouldnt buy lizards from this place go to a breeder. Also for the people who dont know that theyre many types of bearded dragons. The ones they have at jungles Bobs arent good. You want to go for hypos when getting a bearded dragon

Best reptile shop around. They almost always have worms and food for my friends pet dragons and tegu. If they dont they usually get them in within a few days. Everyone there is nice and professional. The reptiles are definitely well cared for. Ive seen pet stores that are unkempt and dirty but this place is clean and the reptiles I can bet are happy and healthy. One of my friends recently bought a snake and its doing great. Ty to the staff here for everything, superworms are a must!

Brought my bearded dragon in for nails clipped and general check up. She enjoyed the Dubias she had for being a good girl. Always my go to spot for things I need or terrarium upgrades.

The staff here are very knowledgeable about the care for the animals. Dont bulk order crickets online from others, my beardie got very sick. Never had issues with this place. (Parrot not from there, beardie is).

Bought a ball python from here and took it home. Noticed the snake was making noises and had tons of saliva coming out of its mouth. Called the store the next day to tell them and find out what was wrong with it they informed me it was fine and that i should give the snake some time to adjust to its new environment. Gave it 2 weeks and went to a vet and was told the snake had a bad respiratory infection that was severe and was probably left untreated for a month or two. I notified the store in selden where i purchased it. I told them that the snake was very sick and that they sold me a sick snake. They told me to come in and they would have their vet look at the snake and treat it. I left it there for almost 4 weeks and was told conflicting stories as to what was going on. One lady told me a vet was coming and to call Saturday. when i called Saturday the guy answered and then told me the snake was already on his 5th day of treatment. Came to pick up the snake and he was even worse than when i left him and they did not bother to try and feed him at all during the 4 weeks he was there. There excuse was he was shedding or that he needed to be on an empty stomach for the treatment. The snake passed away on our way home after picking him up. Now im down $200 and they dont even offer to give you your money back after selling a sick snake.

Good prices and very knowledgeable and honest. If an animal is not right for you and your situation they will tell you that. They will tell you what you need not what they want to sell you. If something can wait or is optional or a nice to have they will say that. Cone here before you buy an animal from any chain.

I purchased three black hide boxes online from Jungle Bobs (2 large and 1 medium). The 2 large hides had a Jungle Bobs sticker on the top of each of them. After trying to take it off with soap and sponge after letting it soak, there is still a residue that wont come off. Now I am left with hides with imperfections due to their poor sticker placement choice. Just a heads up if you are ordering items for display, that they will come with this sticker and it will not peel cleanly. Disappointing experience.

It was my first time there, told the guy behind the counter what i wanted, he got it for me. he asked if i wanted anything else, i said yes and took less than 10 seconds to grab what i needed. Came back, the guy was gone. So I waited. Couple minutes goes by, the same guy comes back out to the register and started ringing up the next person in line. I wasnt about to go in the back on the line, so I left. Thanks for nothing.

The most terrifying and exciting happened to my beautiful stepdaughter. She wanted to hold a snake, they handed her a small snake. She asked if she can hold a larger snake, they handed me the larger snake and I held it with her. Then, the snake suddenly darted to the left and my stepdaughter, who was on my right, flinched and her hand went up fast and she got bit. Nobody panicked. I handed the snake back. She cried but after I cleaned her up and bandaged her pinky, I assured her it wasnt venomous, she kept asking if she was going to get sick. She was EXCITED because how many kids in her, upcoming, 5th grade class have been bit by a snake. She cant wait to share what happened. They have her a t shirt, she stayed away from the one with the snakes. She chose of with dragonflies. It really wasnt, totally, a bad experience, if an exciting story comes out of it. We are planning to visit again next month. She promises to stay still and keep her hands down. 💗

I’ve ordered a few times with no problems but my last time I ordered 500 crickets and got my order and 400 atleast were all dead !! Was told by someone there that they didn’t have their hands on them at all times so didn’t know what to tell me ? Put me on hold for 30 mins I waited and no one ever answered ? Very unhappy won’t be ordering again !

I like getting reptiles there but I dont like how all there reptiles are crammed a lot of there animals there. They use sand as a substrate which makes the reptiles sick and ill. I bought bearded dragon there last year on my birthday about a few weeks later the female bearded dragon got a yellow fungus disease. Also they left there leopard geckos in sand and which gives them sand impaction in there stomach and they cant go to the bathroom it was before I knew this, they gave me inaccurate information in very displeased the female bearded dragon had passed away last week because of her illness that she had.

Famous place on Google Maps went to it for a specific type of food and was absolutely mind-blowing the place is humongous they have anything and everything that you could ever need for your reptile the animals are very healthy and also the pricing is very cheap I found things online that were more expensive than the store the guy at the front desk was very knowledgeable and also very helpful I will definitely be going back to this place when I run out I need more stuff for my tank I recommend you do the same awesome store

Yes, they have exotic reptiles. No, you shouldnt get one instead of a puppy. The animals are happy and healthy, and Jungle Bobs presence is very known

Matt & Dillion are amazing , before taking my beardie to a vet ( who they also were going to help me find one that specializes in bearded dragons) they offered to take a look at my daisy to maybe save me a few bucks in vet fees , I got peace of mind and they explained to me they not only was daisy ok but her troubles were very common , thanks guys

I wish I knew of this place 30 years ago. Excellenct selection, excellent prices and everything I need for a frog vivarium and no need at all to order anything off the web! Support the local businesses.

I’m just gonna give it a bad review due to the amount of disrespect these people give when responding to those who have negative viewpoints of the place. Certainly not good in the viewpoint of customer service. On top of that, the way Jungle Bob handles Pacman frogs (as shown on the HowCast video on youtube if that’s whom Jungle Bob is) is completely disgusting. Also, as previously mentioned, sand is harmful to the animals and WILL cause impaction. These animals don’t need a desert environment as observed in the wild they live in rocky deserts, not sandy ones. It is a known fact backed up by plenty of evidence that they will become impacted by accidentally eating the sand but pet stores would rather make money by selling the sand, even if it harms the reptile. People at petco and petsmart have “experience” but it doesn’t necessarily make them right, as many people get things wrong. It would be something to forgive if it weren’t for the rude way these people respond to genuine criticisms.

A great place for all things reptile. Staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Store is clean and the animals are well taken care of. I purchased a baby mexican black kingsnake from them back in march. This was the first snake Ive ever owned and the staff was very helpful with any questions I had.

Great staff, super knowledgeable, love coming here with the kids to pick up supplies for our animals and engage with the staff for a chat. They dont just sell animals and supplies they help foster understanding and knowledge of the animals you buy.

Went there the other day to pick up a rat pup for my ball python. Place was awesome! Staff was really helpful and knolegedable. Ill be going back there for sure.

Such great staff and tons of exotic animals from land reptile to underwater fish staff is very interactive telling u about there opinions on the animals your buying I drove all the way from oakdale NY all the way to Selden it was a far drive but it was worth it I purchased a red eyed tree frog and I love it also there animals are kept in great conditions unlike some other pet store across the nation I really recommend jungl bobs

Everything you need, reasonable prices, tough to find (in person) animals. Their proprietary brand items are cool if a little pricey. But, dude, more than anything, theres a freaking crocodile monitor here. Gotta go see that!

Jungle bobs is the best reptile shop on long island and one of the best reptile shops i ever been to my hole life and ive been to alot and seen a handful open and close staff at jungle bobs is awesome there all one happy family and treat all customers with the up most respect.There very noligable and helpful and i know alot about reptiles so its nice if i have any issue they can answer my question it shows how much they no and care and arent like most places that just try to sell tou on everything. Also just wanted to say to all you people that go on here to bash them no what your talking about before you write something.If they tell you what your reptile needs or what enviroment or habitat your reptile or antphibian needs to survive they are correct so dont come on here and disrespect a noligable and family orientated business jungle bobs is the best reptile shop around great people i give you 5 stars way to go everyone Tyler you the man will be on my way up there in a little bit to get my worms and crickets the only place i will go to get my reptiles and food for them KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK JUNGLE BOBS YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
