Friendly staff, they do have a good variety of pretty supposed and frequently have decent sales. They are great about sending out multiple discounts also to those signed up for it. Frequently the fish they do get in as is to be expected, are on their death beds. To their credit, theyve always refunded our allowed me credit in these situations. Pretty good little place.

My friend went there to try to get a job about 2 months ago and she went in person today (my friend is 19 and graduated high school 2 years ago) to ask if there was any update on her application and an older female employee with brown hair treated my friend like she is a child in elementary school with disabilities and kept treating her like that the whole time as if she couldnt under her speech or something and thats pretty messed up. My friends name is Emmanuella Maynard Akin. Im not sure what what the employees name is but she was very disrespectful to treat my friend like that. Shes not making a review because she didnt wanna make this a big deal but that employee is disgusting for the way she treated my friend

Stay far away! I wish wed been warned!We brought our dog there for the first time since moving to the area today. In the initial paperwork, I noted that he can be anxious with new people and told the people at the desk. Anxious in the past means reluctant to go with new people and generally being timid and scared until they show theyre safe.He was put in a kennel until they were ready (understandable, and our dog has done that at other groomers without issue), but when he wouldnt come out, the response was to slip a dog catcher stick around his neck, as if that would coax him out! Of course no dog likes being choked out, so he went to the bathroom on himself. They called for us to pick him up and he was cowering in a corner and couldnt wait to get out of the store.I heard the guy say he had a very full schedule, so maybe they were just trying to rush him out or something. But how on earth is that even an option? If he refuses to come out, fine but how can you justify coaxing a terrified dog out with a choke stick?If Id known that was apparently standard practice, I would have never entrusted them with our dog in the first place. I hate to leave a negative review and have never done so before, but for the sake of other dogs, heres a warning!

I recently visited the Pet Supply, and overall, it was a decent experience. This was my first time at this particular branch, though I have shopped with them at other locations before.The store was well-stocked with a wide variety of dog products, from high-quality dog food to a good selection of toys and grooming supplies. I was pleased to find my usual brands available, and the prices were consistent with what I expected.However, the stores layout was a bit of a letdown. It felt quite small and cluttered, making it challenging to navigate through the aisles comfortably. The narrow pathways between shelves made it difficult to browse leisurely, especially when other customers and dogs were around.Despite the cramped space, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Was initially nervous about coming here because a lady at my vet told me she had a bad experience in the past. I went in earlier this week to kinda get the feel of the store and loved the atmosphere. The staff here is attentive but also gives you space if that’s what you’re looking for. Brought my dog here for grooming services for the first time today and did not regret it. Everyone in the store was kind and helpful. Lila was patient and understanding with me when I made a mistake on the intake paperwork and Janice was overall great and thorough with my pup. I ran out of the store and left my card inside the reader. The gentleman at the counter literally ran after me to return it. A very pleasant experience :)

Customer service is good. Pricing goes up every single month. What started as a 35# bag of science diet for around $55 two years ago is now almost $80!

Very helpful ladies brought my 44 lb bag of dog food to my car for this senior in need. Will shop there now instead of pet smart.

I have been taking my dog Jax to Douglas at Pet Supplies Plus in Troy, NY for over a year now and I cant say enough wonderful things about the service!! Douglas is a top notch groomer. Jax always looks like a handsome boy!

The hamster i got from here is literally Soo cute and the photo of him in the white house is when i first got him, and the other two are now, you can see how hes progressed. I didnt even have to do any taming with my hamster, the staff handled him every day, and hes never bitten me or ran away from me.

Wanted a new pet tag for our cat. Staff was great. Led me to the display.They were super excited because they had just gotten a new selection of tags. SO many choices, I had trouble not buying two.

My last grooming experience left me very unhappy with the service. My dogs nails were not trimmed and no one could tell me why it wasnt done. They gave me 20% off the grooming package I paid for which was like $6 when taking him back to get his nails done separately is $20. I tried reaching out to the store, no response. I emailed customer service through the website, no response. Just took my money and ignored me.

The staff and management team at this location are EXCEPTIONAL- never anything less than a stellar experience! I really love this company and have been to quite a few of their stores, but this location in particular is truly above and beyond! Great prices and selection, and they truly do everything possible to help meet your needs at every turn- in these crazy times, theyre a rare gem! If you dont shop here for your pets, youre doing yourself a disservice!

This place is amazing! The staff their is the best and most kind staff I’ve seen in a long time. They take the time to talk answer and question you may have and offer their own personal opinions from experience. They will also help you get the best price available for each item. I shop there at least 2/3 times a week and if you’re in the are you should go check them out. Great place/great employees/great prices= great experiences. There are two gentlemen there Anthony and Luke who are awesome they really care about their job and they really help with any questions I throw at them! They are great employee’s for this store. There is also Marie who is a sweetheart and will do the same. She is very polite and will drop anything she is doing to help or point you in the direction to get the help you need. I just wanted to take the time and show them my appreciation and thank you for the outstanding customer service they proved I’d give ten stars if I could!

I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable the girls are that tend to the Aquariums- very informative - they know what they talk about- my tank has been spot on when I took their tips into consideration. I recommend this business.

The employees are all very nice and helpfulI purchased 2 bags of cat food one time from here and both bags were expired. So definitely check the dates of your pet food items. But I returned them and got a refund, no problem. Also seems like they run out of wet cat food fast, so if you see something you need soon or want to try, grab it then. Dont wait.

If you need it they have it , but the resupply has issues so its hit or miss on alot of things.That being said the staff care about animals and the mood is upbeat and worth the time to shop

Stopped by twice. Picked up a gentle leader and training treats the 1st time and had to go back for a muzzle that I had forgotten. Friendly and helpful staff. Knowledgeable workers. Love this environment the store has. (Almost makes me wonder if theyre still hiring... I saw an ad for it over a month ago... 😅)

I took my two standard poodles to Allison today to be groomed. They were so overgrown, and overdue for grooming. Allyson did an amazing job!!! They look awesome and are so much more comfortable and content. She’s very patient and kind with dogs and people! She was very attentive and thorough. I will definitely be back for more grooming. This place is great. The selection is excellent, the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the fish/live animals always look clean and healthy. I also really love their DIY dog bathing tubs, they are also always clean and well stocked. By far the best pet store in the area.

If you call to make a appt for grooming make sure you don’t book with Sara. I been brining my dog there since she was a puppy and never had a issue. I brought her for grooming today and they called me within 30 minutes to tell me I have to pick her up because my dog was being aggressive and try to bite the groomer. My dog is a husky and highly playful, she is around children all the time and never once in her 6 years of life tried to bite some one, not even strangers. Literally every one to walk by by house stops at my yard to pet her. I find it highly unlikely she tried to bite some one. I asked if I was still going to be charged as they didn’t complete the services and they said yes but they were going to give me 20% off because they bathed her. Okay fair I guess but according to them they did everything but brush her and clip her nails, how did they complete all of this in 30 minutes when it normally takes 2-3 hours? This whole experience was sketchy and had left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be returning which is unfortunate because up until today I really liked the service. But after today I just couldn’t leave my dog there again and not be worried.

This store is lovely -- very clean, well-organized, with space to move easily around the aisles. The birds, fish, etc. seem well cared-for, and the employees are attentive to the needs of the Mohawk-Hudson cat(s) placed there for adoption. Ive been greeted by a staff member both times that Ive gone in, and they seem to be proactive and responsive to customers needs. Awesome sale prices on cat food this week, and regular prices that appear competitive. Its worth the trip for me, although Ill have to remember not to go up Hoosick St. during rush hour!

Great end of year holiday sale! They have excellent discounts. I always find some surprise items. This is a great location where I can run many errands to my bank, other shopping all in one trip. Love the curbside service!

Always have had positive experiences at Pet Supplies Plus in Troy. Recently I placed an online order for store pick up and it was ready in only about an hour. They called to notify me that one of the items I selected was out of stock, but that they could substitute 2 smaller packages and they would charge same price per pound as the larger package which was a savings. When I arrived, they promptly brought my items out to my car. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful

I just got a new puppy and brought her to get groomed here. The groomers name was Amanda. She was so kind and patient with my little furball. You can tell she really enjoys her job she was so good with Lucy ! This is my first puppy , she helped me out a lot. she really knows her stuff. I bought toys , food , treats and all of her things for a great price. I will definitely be going back there and recommending Amanda to all of my pet friends!

This store is great! This location opened a few weeks ago. They have a wide selection including aquarium supplies which most smaller pet stores do not carry. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We have two cats and a fish and this store completely replaced going to petsmart for us. They have a super impressive selection of canned cat food as well.

I been taking my Alaskan Husky to Pet Smart for years, my daughter convinced me to take her to Pet Supply to see Amanda. She did such a fabulous and amazing job. The team at the Troy store are super helpful. The curbside service was great! All I had to do was call and let them know I was there. They brought everything out and put it in the back of my car. No issues. No hassle.

Awesome fish and aquarium plant selections! I stocked both my ten gallons with platys, cories and plants from here and they did great! Always take ick precautions (every pet store ever) but I just moved my fish to a thirty gallon and they are doing great! Awesome staff are always great and educated about what fish work in what size tanks!

I always go here to get the one dry food my cat loves, Redfood Naturals. It is one of the few she is able to eat with all of her allergies. Bonus points that the staff in this store are always very friendly, readily available to assist and willing to answer questions I have about ingredients in can food or any other questions.

I came in a few days after they opened to scope the place out and see what they carried as far as product selection. I was greeted by a very helpful associate who knew about the products as well as where to find them. I was excited to see that they not only carried the higher quality cat food I was looking for, but I could get food for my lizard as well. Very excited that I know longer have to trek out to PetSmart!

Great place. They do a lot for pet owners and the animal community. The workers are kind. The pets they have for sale always have a clean environment. They dont always have exactly what Im looking for but they have everything you need. Overall just a great place.

Picked up my dog and she looks terrible. Groomers did not trim the back of her legs and left her tail looking atrocious. Groomer asked how we wanted her to look, we even showed a picture. It doesn’t look the groomer did anything we asked. Waste of 85 dollars. We will not be returning for grooming services.

Erin the manager and Geni groomer discriminate. They were terrible to my aunt due to her age and race. Geni botched grooming and damaged dogs! Erin was horrible and should loose job for the way she acts. Bad for pets and people!

The staff are all very friendly. We accidentally bought an empty snail shell and they let us return it. They are always helpful and polite. However, the fish tanks are disturbingly dirty. I have seen an old dead fish in the tank on many occasions.

Allison groomed my Pomeranian puppy and he looks perfect!! Hes only 5 months old and had never to the groomer. She was sweet and patient and, even though I did not want a traditional Pomeranian cut but rather a short puppy cut, she really listened to what we needed and he looks adorable! Thrilled with our experience!

I wish they carried sponge filters but that is not enough for me to remove a star...They have friendly staff. They also run $1 per gallon aquarium sales every so often which is nice. The animals look healthy & well cared for.

This place has zero selections for aquatics and their staff act petty and dramatic (i.e., I overheard one employee talking about a customer with another customer in a separate aisle - no clue what it was about but I felt it as rude and unprofessional)

Amanda is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to grooming. My puppy Kobe is groomed by her and only her. I can trust Amanda. She is super friendly with him and he is always excited to see her. I have a temperamental multipalm. Douglass does a great job of taking care of her. While helping us there was an emergency with a fish stuck in an object. He managed it with no problem and got to us in one minute. I highly recommend him.

I went there last week and I must say the staff are pretty rude. I am a new dog owner and I wanted to get any and everything for my lab, but to the staff I did not exist. The staff would go right pass me and ask other owners do you need help with anything? May be a race issue being that I was the only brown person in the store. I felt very unwanted and out of place. I probably would never go back here. This issue needs to be taken care of!

Purchased a ferret and supplies for my daughter. The staff was very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The team took the time to go out of their way to make it a great buying experience. Prices were inline with similar products available at online retailers.Pet Supplies Plus is also our go to for high quality dog food and treats for our Shih Tzus.

Went there to get my daughters first pet of her own, a few fish, ended up with mollys, but the staff was great, very helpful. My daughter had a great time looking at the snakes and tarantula! So glad this place is here, much better than driving out to petsmart.

Brought my dog for a full groom and cut, it was awful, choppy and uneven everywhere. Long hairs left ALL over and I don’t know if it’s from the collar they use on the table but the top of his neck is extremely sensitive and he won’t let me touch him there. May have to bring him to the vet if it doesn’t get better in a couple days. Needless to say I will NOT be returning again nor shopping here.

Always very helpful and knowledgable workers. Rarely ever a line to check out. I was skeptical to go at first but theyve proven themselves over and over. Weve gotten fish, emergency replacement turtle tank & dog food our dog will ACTUALLY eat (hes picky)! We also brought our very skittish italian greyhound there to get his talons trimmed. They were awesome!!

With their monthly coupons Im able to get 10 or 20% off each purchase. This keeps my cats Betty Boop and Benny in high-end litter and food. I only compared prices one time & Ive gone to Pet Supplies Plus every time over the last 2 years. High quality litter and pet food are not typically found at Walmart or Price Chopper. Amazon was where I compared prices on dust free litter, and grain free USA made food. Amazon lost. Great location, and the store feels sounds and smells like a feed store should.

The employee, Gabe, was incredibly rude and at the end of the transaction threw the receipt at me. All of this because there was a price issue with my purchase. The price on the counter did not match the register. Im never coming back to the store again, which is sad because I live less than half a mile away.

Had a great first time groom experience with Doug ...we have always groomed our own dogs and do was nervous as to how our dog would react to stranger grooming him ...Doug was very tolerant and patient with my hovering...it turned out great and would highly recommend Doug to all...

The pet supplies plus is a good place to shop for your pets. However, they should emphasize more on stocking for customers. Over all I love the store and I would encourage my friends and family to shop there.

I brought my Jaxson in for a long over due full groom service with Douglas onThursday. Online ordered for curb side pickup. Received a call in less than an hour that it was ready. Drove up, placed a call & everything was put in my trunk, no contact. I will definitely be using this service again.

Both my dog and I had a wonderful experience when he went for grooming. The groomer was extremely gentle and patient even though my dog was a groomers nightmare and also nervous. The groomer had no problems whatsoever due to being a real dog whisperer!

I brought mine Akita puppy and today to have him groomed, and to have a blueberry facial done. I cannot believe how great Amanda m was with him. We will definitely be coming back.

Great place to grab the basics, small but well stocked

I took two of my dogs to the groomer for the first time.Laikaluv is a boston terrier and Sache is a chihuahua mix. I was nervous leaving them but believe me they were treated like royalty. Amanda did an amazing job with both of them. Laikaluv never had her nails painted and I requested that she did an amazing job. Sache was bathed and looks and smells gorgeous. I will never hesitate to return and will be bringing my baby Maltese next time. I have no concerns of leaving her with Amanda. Thank you Amanda for such a positive experience and the gentleman there was so kind and helpful I making my appointments. How can I post their pictures?

Our Family has been a customer since the store opened and i say this because the declined in this store is ashamed starting with customer service no greeting what so ever not even a thank you when paying at the register manager Tiffany i believe is her name is very rude and unpleasant to deal with if it wasent for the staff at the grooming i wouldnt even come to this store what happened to pleasantries and making your customers feel welcome this manager had no patience us we felt that our money spent and being a loyal consumer for this store had no value our experience with this manager the last couple of times hasnt been any friendly at all PET SUPPLIES customer deserve better

I buy cat food and litter here basically. They regularly have good prices on Blue Buffalo, which is what I buy. Staff is friendly and its easy to find what you want.

My only and biggest complaint is they keep losing groomers. They have had a few very good ones over the years and some not so good. The not so good seem to be doing on the job training.

Ive been a loyal customer since this store opened but since the manager glen is gone nothing is the same the front end employees the men are rude they watch your every move i felt very uncomfortable i have spent thousands of dollars at this establishment they used to be friendly and loyal to their customers i dont know i might have to find i new place for my fur babys

I called Monday at 4:58pm and scheduled my puppy for a full grooming for Thursday 6/2 @ 5:30. I Gave all my information and his information. The woman I spoke to was well aware that this was the only night I could make it.. Anywho, I go to the grooming section and wait about 6-8 minutes. The associate walks out and asks, What do you need? I said I was here to get my dog groomed for a 5:30 appt. She rudely said no youre not. I said excuse me? I schedule this on Monday. She said again rudely, Im sorry I have no time for your dog I have two huskies coming in @ 5:30. I got the manager since this was very inconvenient. I got no where. Lets say I wont ever go back to this location. Nonetheless, turning a new customer away is pretty pathetic! Luckily I went to Petco in Latham and they fit me right in and honored the promotion this store had running. Anyone who wants your dog groomed I recommend not going here!

Workers at the troy location are always quick with help, always incredibly friendly, and ive yet to see someone who didnt genuinely seem to love animals. I love shopping here.

Last week, I would had gave Pet Plus 5 stars, but I cant do that anymore. Pet Plus is a fairly new to Brunswick Plaza, and I have noticed their business dwindling down to none! Wal-Mart is only a block up the road so its going to be hard for any pet store to succeed without price matching area stores. Pet Plus did price match, without any problem until the other day. Even though I had been shipping at Pet Plus, on average, 2x per week, and having my items price matched, has now become inconvenient. Tuesday, Pet Plus gave me a hard time about price matching and would not do so without a current receipt from the other store ( (Wal-Mart). Nor would they assist me by checking Wal-Mart or Cheweys prices on their computer, which they used to do. The assistant manager said a phone call would do, but I went on hold with Wal-Mart for a half hour. I actually left Pet Plus, still on hold with Walmart, until I got there. I go inside Wal-Mart and take photos of my brand cat food with their low, low price, and drive back to Pet Plus, and got the price match on my items. Im such an airhead. I should had just got the catfood at Wal-Mart! Next time I will. Sorry Pet Plus. Its not good to jerk people around! We were there today and the guiena pigs had no water no food and no hay in the cage ..well I was at check out there were 3 employees standing around just talking doing nothing ...I proceeded to tell the cashier that the guiena pig cage had no water no food and no hay in it and shes like oh ok ..and I got my stuff and went to my car and they all just stood there talking not one of them went to take of the issue !

They have Huge selection on everything you need for dogs and cats and everything in-between just a little on the higher prices. The people that work there are all very nice.

They take great care of thier animals and have all of the cage requirements as if they own these things (especially the reptiles) as pets as well as having great employees.
