Update: They now charge a 3.99% service fee for credit card use. In 2019, this a sure way to lose a 60 dollar payment from a customer over what is less than 3 dollars. Not to mention most credit companies charge 3.25% or less so asking for 3.99% seems over zealous.I have a toy poodle and they groomed her very well. I added an oil treatment for her dry skin and they went above and beyond and did it twice in order to soothe her skin. They were very kind and communicative.

Nice, clean and friendly place. Has a large indoor area and a outdoor area too. Your dog will be supervised the whole time there. They have a great grooming area too. Would highly recommend. The prices are a great deal too!

Love this place! And so does my dachshund mix. She loves to go to daycare here, and has many friends among the regular fur-kids. The staff is great and they take good care of the dogs. You can drop off your doggy for the day or a few hours, your choice. You pay by the hour, unlike some places that charge you by the day even if you dont leave your dog all day. Grooming is also great here .My girl has short hair and requires no grooming,but I have gotten her nails trimmed and the occasional bath. Daycare is great for puppies that need socialization, and to burn energy. I especially like the daycare during the winter months when its too cold or snowy to be outside

I have been bringing my dog to the Golden Dog for over a year and a half. The service is always excellent! The staff is always friendly and enthusiastic about their job. The facility is spotless. Weve used two different treatments that the spa offers. The staff suggested what would be best for my dog and she looked excellent! I highly recommend the Golden Dog and will not bring my dog anywhere else! Marley recommends it too!

We love Golden Dog Grooming! The staff were so friendly and grooming is much less expensive than other groomers in the area. We were able to speak with the groomer who would take care of our dog, making sure we got what we asked for and they did a great job. Wed had a bad experience with another place in the area where the receptionist asked what we wanted but did not pass this on to the groomer so my dog ended up with short hair for one of the coldest autumns wed had in while. We then received an attitude when we said we would only pay for the services wed requested. We will definitely return to Gold Dog Grooming.

Weve been taking our dog there since they opened. They take such good care of all the dogs and the staff really gets to know you and your pet. They are the best groomers in the area and do an amazing job every time.

Our dog has changed our life and we will do anything to make her life better. She loves going to doggy day care. Jean, Nancy and the wonderful staff at The Golden Dog Grooming will treat your puppy with the true love and care. The ladies in the grooming department do an amazing job. They listen to what you want and always make our puppy look beautiful and smell wonderful. We feel lucky to have this place so close to home.

My dog Yogi absolutely loves it here!! He is always treated wonderfully! They always know what haircut he has gotten previously and make adjustments depending on the upcoming season. They all do an amazing job. Thank you for taking such great care of Yogi!

I took my pup Molly who is a SHED-MONSTER for a grooming with Emily yesterday. It was my first time trying a new groomer since we moved to the area. My husband and I can not stop talking about how AMAZING Molly looks. Emily shampooed Molly 3 times and gave her the best brush out. She looks 2 lbs lighter without all of her shedding undercoat. The staff is super nice and the prices are great! In all of the groomers I have gone to, not one of them ever put in the time and effort that Emily did.

I have used The Golden Dog Grooming for 3 years..since right after they opened. I take both my dogs there - my golden retriever and my mix (collie, golden, german shepherd). My retriever was beautiful of course but she is always easy =). My mix, Audrey, is a bushy haired dog with plenty of fur and undercoat. Luckily she is easy to get along with when being groomed!In the summer, Audrey is given a close cut so she can enjoy the warm weather. In the winter, she is given a beautiful groom so that her fur is silky, soft and healthy and all that extra undercoat is removed so the shedding is minimal.My friends always comment how soft both my dogs are and I give all the credit to the amazing staff at The Golden Dog Grooming.

While the service at this place was good, the problems that happened afterward were COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. This place mixed up the dog leashes and accidentally put a therapy dogs leash on my dog, which was the same color as my dogs own leash. I live about 40 minutes away from this groomer and had my dog groomed the day before I had surgery. I told them I would try to drop off the leash and did not get around to it just yet. During the course of my recovery, I received phone call after phone call and the employees went as far as showing up at my house and CALLING THE COPS!!!... Obviously they belong working with animals not humans.

We love golden daycare, its clean, easy to book an appt, cost is fair, but most of all, the genuine affection they have for our schnauzer when we arrive puts us at ease when we leave her. Masey pulls us to walk quickly when we arrive, she cannot wait to play with the other dogs! We also had her bathed there and we were happy with the results. If I didnt already have my own groomer we would also have our furkid groomed there as well.

Great experience as always but my usual groomer Karen is not there and the new girl did a great job . Just a little uneven in spots . Which I easily fixed at home . I would recommend them to anyone as a premier groomer of the Hudson Valley . JHA

Our dog loves going here. Professional staff for grooming, but our dog just to the daycare. There is an indoor area and outdoor area for them to run around and play. My dog comes home exhausted and balanced.

I take my dog there. I always request Becky, she does a great job. I get a lot of compliments on the way she grooms my Misty. Will definitely continue to take her there!!!

My dog was very upset after his grooming. He seemed catatonic that evening. I discovered a few days later that both of his ears had been nicked and he had big scabs on them

I adopted a yorkiepoo as a puppy almost 6 years ago. I tried a local chain who said he was too much of a handful to groom. Smh. Tried a groomer in town who appeared to do a decent job but he was so full of cuts and nicks, poor baby she was too rough for him. Tried a groomer in Somers and he ended up with such an awful case of conjunctivitis, it cost $400 to remedy. So I saw an ad 4 years ago for The Golden Dog. It was a 50 minute drive for me but since I enjoy spending time in their area, I decided to give them a try. Boy was this the best decision for my pup. Kim is a pro who has taken care of Angus for the past 4 years and she is wonderful with him. I have also been bringing my second rescue of 2 years there and am not disappointed. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
